Easing the side effects of tamoxifen, aromatase inhibitors for breast cancer treatment
Easing the side effects of tamoxifen, aromatase inhibitors for breast cancer treatment
Many people who have had breast cancer take drugs — tamoxifen or aromatase inhibitors — to keep the cancer from coming back. Doctors prescribe them to people with “hormone positive” tumors, which account for about 2 in 3 breast cancers. This approach saves lives. “It is extremely effective in reducing the risk of cancer recurrence anywhere in the body,” says Erica Mayer, MD, MPH, director of…

How long did it take for you to start lactating from the day you injected for the first time? What do you inject to stimulate?
I've been taking roids for over two years now and it only really started in the last couple of months. You can check out the progression of it under the "#male lactation" tag on my blog if you like.
Gyno you can get from anything that converts into estradiol. I have stopped taking aromatase inhibitors for the most part to encourage that.
The other relevant hormone is prolactin, which does what the name suggests. There are specific steroids which can raise your body's production it. Those I have been using on and off since approximately one year ago. Again, there are countermeasures against this which I am not taking.

Hey! Regarding endo and T, I just want to mention that I had endo that was initially treated with T and the depo provera shot (because I was fuckin') but it came back about 2 years after I started treatment. T by itself only shuts down the reproductive system about 50% of the time, which is why we don't use it as a contraceptive!
I hunted down a second-line treatment, which is to use aromatase inhibitors -- I actually got the idea from another transmasc who was using them as part of his transition to lower his E levels even further! Aromatase is the enzyme that converts T to E, it isn't usually a problem for transmascs but it can make endo keep growing even when your reproductive system is shut down. I started that in 2022 and it's been working well!
So like super glad for the people that T has been helping, just wanted to throw out there that if your symptoms come back you have more options!
hey appreciate you sending this ask!
i've been wanting to look into aromantase, i wasn't aware of the name of it, thank you! that's very important information, some intersex people are affected by this when starting HRT, so this is important information for people with endo and intersex people alike!
thank you, i appreciate the input!

Oh we're doing Gender Emporium? Here's one for you: I'm a trans man with treatment-resistant endo who convinced a doctor to prescribe me aromatase inhibitors, after hearing about them from an acquaintance who was using them as part of his HRT. Endo cells have aromatase in them (healthy endometrium doesn't) so sometimes it just... keeps itself growing.... There's a few papers on this as a second-line endo treatment but it isn't super popular because it's hard to make work for people with E dominant systems. You do have to keep more of an eye on liver stuff for T dominant patients; there's a good reason that typical testosterone HRT doesn't involve suppressing estrogen. My country (Aotearoa) has a public health system and by the time I finally got seen by one of their doctors, they told me "it's frightening that you figured that one out by yourself", which I'm taking as a compliment lmao.
Ooh interesting!

Sunday Confessions
Mothers’ Day Edition
I was 9 years old, nine, when I swore I’d never let her make me cry again.
I will stay away from social media, especially Facebook, for most of the day today.
Went into town to pick up my AI prescription (aromatase inhibitor, not artificial intelligence!) and James bought me a mocha frappe.

did you know that aromatase, the enzyme responsible for turning T into E, is way more abundant in breast tissue and other fat tissue? do you realise that the fatter you get and the bigger your tits get, you're just speeding up your own feminisation? keep skipping those E blockers baby, it's much better for you to let your body convert all that testosterone and make you even curvier
I'm well aware, and it turns me on so much. That's really what my "estrogen blocker" is - it's an aromatase inhibitor. My levels were getting really out of whack as my weight increased - my t levels kept going lower with each blood test and my estrogen was skyrocketing. And of course, my doc didn't want to increase my T, so he prescribed the blocker.
And that was many pounds ago. I can only imagine how high my E levels are now that I've been off my blocker for a good while. I can definitely feel it in how much more... present my tits are and how much puffier my nipples are. Not to mention how much wetter I've been lately, heh.

I never wear heels. Ok, I ALMOST never wear heels, but I did when I went to church on Christmas Eve. The next day my heel felt bruised. I chalked it up to a poor shoe decision and figured it would heal itself as time went on. Here we are a month later and I have finally gone to the Podiatrist. It’s not a bruise: I have Insertional Achilles Tendonitis and a Sural Nerve Impingement. Best case scenario steroids and injections will resolve my issues. Physical Therapy may be an option. Worst case scenario could require surgery. I was informed it’s a major surgery as I have would have to have the piece of bone removed from my heel that is aggravating the Achilles. For the next week I’m on steroids, have stretching to do and had to buy a more flexible sneaker. If there is no improvement, it’s injection time at my next appointment.
Despite this being all foot related, my MBC became forefront of the appointment. As I was having my foot x-rayed, the technician asked if I was pregnant or trying and I said matter of factly I could not conceive. She asked why and we began a discussion about my diagnosis and she couldn’t fathom it because of how young I looked. She seemed genuinely concerned and shocked. She asked about my metastasis and how my treatment was coming along. I felt heard by a stranger. And it felt genuine.
My doctor also asked about my MBC as the steroids will reduce the effectiveness of my aromatase inhibitor, but it’s the most conservative treatment for my foot.
I never thought my foot appointment would have so much to do with my cancer diagnosis and yet nothing to do with it at all. It was an interesting appointment.
I know I haven’t had an entry in quite sometime but the interactions today stuck with me and I felt like I needed to get the out of my head. I’m glad to have this space for these type of scenarios.

Magical Remedy for Breast Cancer in Women - Anastrozole
One of the most frequent cancers in women is breast cancer. Although it can happen at any age, breast cancer is most frequently discovered in adults over the age of 50. Overall, compared to women of all other races or ethnicities, non-Hispanic white women have a somewhat increased risk of acquiring breast cancer. Breast cancer develops when cells in your breast multiply and expand out of control, resulting in a mass of tissue known as a tumor. Breast cancer symptoms might include feeling a lump, noticing a change in breast size, and noticing changes to the skin around your breasts.
Breast cancer is classified into multiple types, such as:
Infiltrating ductal carcinoma
Ductal carcinoma in situ
Infiltrating lobular carcinoma
Lobular carcinoma in situ
Triple-negative breast cancer
Inflammatory breast cancer
Several treatment options are available for breast cancer, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted medication therapy. It depends on many factors, such as the tumor's size and the spot, the results of your lab tests, and whether the cancer has spread to other parts of your body.
Some medicines can specifically target the cancer-causing features of certain cell types. If your breast cancer has spread to other parts of your body, your doctor may advise you to take specific medication therapy. The most popular medicines used to treat breast cancer are Anastrozole Tablets.
Anastrozole tablet is used to treat early hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. It contains 1mg dosage. It is used in conjunction with other treatments, such as surgery or radiation, to treat early breast cancer in women who have reached menopause, or the end of their monthly menstrual cycles. Anastrozole 1mg tablet is also used as a first therapy for breast cancer that has spread within the breast or to other regions of the body in women who have gone through menopause.
Tumblr media
Anastrozole 1mg tablet belongs to the class of drugs known as nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitors. It functions by reducing the body's production of estrogen. Many forms of breast cancer cells that require estrogen to grow can be slowed or stopped by Anastrozole tablets.
Along with the treatment of Anastrozole might have to undergo some lifestyle changes such as maintaining a healthy weight, exercising, and quitting alcohol. Anastrozole comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day with or without food. Take this medication at around the same time every day. You may need to take anastrozole for several years or longer. Continue to take anastrozole even if you feel well. Do not stop taking anastrozole without talking to your doctor.

My country is not your church.
Some more things to be aware of that are happening.
1. Freshman state Rep. Rob Harris, R-Spartanburg PN, has a bill that would offer fetuses equal protection under state law and would reclassify the act of an abortion as “willful prenatal homicide,” which could result in a sentence from 30 years in prison up to the death penalty in states allowing it. Apparently he doesn't see the hypocrisy and lack of logic in that. There are still 15 sponsors. Look up their names. Know them. Remember them.
2. Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.) doesn’t know the difference between abortion pills and emergency contraception. But even though he doesn’t know exactly what abortion is, Rosendale considers it his job to stop “taxpayer dollars” from being used for it. He made the comment during an appearance on the 24/7 Catholic news channel Eternal Word Television Network’s EWTN Pro-Life Weekly (a MadLibs of rightwing nonsense words) last week. For the record: Plan B is not an abortifacient. It simply prevents pregnancy.
3. Arkansas Gov. Sarah Fuckabee Sanders on Tuesday signed a law prohibiting transgender people at public schools from using the restroom that matches their gender identity, the first of several states expected to enact such bans this year amid a flood of bills nationwide targeting the trans community.
4. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' administration is moving to forbid classroom instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in all grades, expanding the controversial law critics call “Don't Say Gay’.The proposal, which would not require legislative approval, is scheduled for a vote next month before the state Board of Education and has been put forward by the state Education Department, both of which are led by appointees of the governor.
5. A bill that would let people carry concealed firearms without a permit and without training passed out of the House on Friday, putting the bill just a step away from the governor’s desk.
6. Florida Republicans are working to make it a lot easier to sue journalists for defamation, outraging many First Amendment advocates and publishers around the state. If they reach the governor’s desk, a pair of bills currently making their way through the Legislature could fundamentally change how media outlets report on public figures.
7. Florida bill H.B. 1421 seeks to ban doctors from performing what is typically referred to as gender-affirming care. The bill's text is so vague as presently written that it could ban "birth control, hormone treatment for menopause, for breast cancer, anti-androgen treatments for prostate cancer. PCOS can be caused by higher than normal androgen levels and is often treated with hormone therapies, plainly fitting the bill's definition of gender clinical interventions. The presence of a menstrual cycle is considered a secondary sexual characteristic, so birth control would be considered hormone therapy. Breasts are also a secondary sexual characteristic. In some cases of breast cancer, a mastectomy is a required treatment or preventative strategy. Such a surgery would undeniably alter a secondary sexual characteristic and, by the present definition, would be considered a gender clinical intervention. Post-menopausal women with a specific form of breast cancer related to hormone receptors are often treated with a class of drugs called aromatase inhibitors, which is literally a hormone antagonistic therapy. Hormone therapy is also used to treat prostate cancer. The law could prevent doctors-or scare them from- treating diseases the same way that doctors now won’t perform D+C for someone who has already miscarried as it’s technically considered breaking the law
8. In Gov. Ron DeSanctumonious’ “Free State of Florida,” a charter school principal was forced to resign after sixth-grade students were shown images of Michelangelo’s sculpture, “David.” Apparently the horrors of art and anatomy were too much for some parents, and because DeSantis has empowered adults dippy enough to consider Renaissance art “pornography,” the principal was — in the spirit of freedom — shown the door.
Why isn't the bible being taken out of school libraries and being banned? Why isn't the bible being considered the same way everything else is? It has sexual imagery, violence and a can certainly be considered adult material than can be influential on fragile little minds. WHERE ARE DEMOCRATS??? I feel like I keep waiting for democrat politicians to stand up against this stuff but they're all silent. AOC is the only one I've seen publicly saying anything, standing by herself and calling out the ridiculousness of recent behavior from republicans.

How is Ovulation Induction performed?
Tumblr media
In Ovulation Induction procedures, specialized hormone-based drugs are utilized to balance a woman's hormone profile, allowing for regular and healthy ovulation.
Insulin-sensitizing drugs, aromatase inhibitors, gonadotropins, and medicines such as clomiphene citrate may be included in this pharmacological stack. "Sometimes these drugs aren't even necessary; consistent ovulation may be obtained simply by addressing underlying health issues like obesity or hypothyroidism.
If you want to know more about Ovulation Induction, consult Dr. Neha Lalla the best Indian Gynaecologist in Dubai.
