When I dream about my family in Armenia, I see images of death.

A woman once told me that the effects of trauma can pass from generation to generation.

In Armenia, men kidnapped women to marry. That’s how my great aunt got married. When my mother was single, they said she was too picky. I’m afraid to be alone.

I was so anxious, I broke out hives. I asked my pastor to pray for my skin. He prayed, Lord take away the harshness that has come to Marine and her people.
