THE ONE- ryohei arisu x gn!reader

when you opened the door supposedly to greet and thank the pizza man for your meal that you ordered half an hour ago you were not expecting to see your drunk boyfriend practically being dragged by your mutual friend Tatta. "what happened?" you asked as you took Arisu's other arm and draped it around yourself so you could hopefully situate him on your couch. once you had successfully done so you laid a gentle kiss to his nose, almost immediately he started pawing at your arm, trying to pull you onto his lap which Tatta found extremely amusing. the latter would definitely not miss a chance to tease his companion about this later.

"ah, well he said he was going to find some friends and when we found him again he was drowning in shots next to Chota, Karube and some stranger I didn't know." Tatta explained with a sorrowful tone while you took to finding your lover a glass of water and something to eat, preferably bread so it could soak up some of the alcohol he consumed. "sorry we didn't keep an eye on him" you chuckled and placed Arisu's favorite glass on the coffee table while handing the man himself a piece of bread which he started to chew lethargically. "it's fine! I wasn't expecting you to stare at him the whole night, you were there to have fun too. have you got a lift home?"

"yeah, Kuina and Usagi are waiting out the front" you nodded and engulfed him in a chaste hug before Arisu tugged at your waist again, you smiled and took his hands in yours.

"enjoy the rest of your night, Tatta"

"I would say the same but it looks like you'll be turning in fairly soon" you smiled once more and waved him off as he closed the door behind him, leaving you to tend to your intoxicated boyfriend. Ryohei seemed pleased now that he could have you all to himself.

once bathed and a little less drunk you led Arisu to the couch again where you were pulled to sit on your giggly boyfriend. you lay your head on his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat along with the gentle rise and fall of his chest. little droplets of water slid off his hair and dampened his green sleep shirt, he didn't seem to care and picked up your hand to start mindlessly fiddling with your fingers. after a while he started to place feather light kisses on each of your fingertips. you giggled whenever his plush lips touched your skin, the kaleidoscope of butterflies in your abdomen squirmed whenever you saw his lips pucker. "what're you doing, angel?" the question seemed to fly right over his head so you sat quietly watching him until he answered.

" 'm gonna put a ring on your finger one day" probably the cheesiest grin known to man spread across your face, and as you were unable to contain it you simply let your flustered chuckle out, earning another kiss to your thumb from Arisu. "yeah? you want to marry me?" although he was still intoxicated and probably not aware of what he was saying, you really hoped it was all true. "100%, sweetheart. you're definitely the person for me." After all, drunk words are sober thoughts. "well that's good news, 'cause I was just thinking about how you're the one for me!" you could see his eyes glaze over, so full of love for you and your shared relationship. "really?" with a brisk nod of your head you pressed your forehead to his and whispered, "you're the only one for me. I've never met anyone who makes me feel the way you do."

"me neither" lovesick was the only way to describe how you were feeling in the moment. unable to stop smiling, you pecked his lips and decided to linger for a little while. "good, now let's get to bed. we have things to do tomorrow"

"like planning our wedding?" He said hopefully, his innocent doe eyes pleading with you. "yes, Ryohei. like planning our wedding." there was a lengthy pause where all you did was stare at each other until he spoke up again. "you're gonna be Mr/s. Arisu"

"or you could be Mr. L/n"

"....I like that better actually" you chuckled and pressed a firm kiss to the crest of his hairline.

aib hcs

1. usagi's fave colour is orange. brilliant sunset orange, the kind she'd see and breathe in when sitting at the top of a mountain. she remembers her father in that light the most, his smile lines deep, crooked with love as he looked to the dying sunrays.

2. arisu's favourite colour is blue, a plunging and open sky ripe with freedom. it makes him think of the infinite possibilities of life, of moving forward and stepping into the azure future. he thinks of giving up less and it reminds him of hope.

3. chota has an addiction to tetris. he's constantly on the leaderboards, either tapping away on his phone or shirking off work on the computer. it's terrifying to watch him play. when he's playing, it's like the world becomes fuzz. karube once broke into his apartment bc he was knocking and chota wasn't responding.

he didn't even realise someone was behind him until karube grabbed his phone and chota screamed. his fear of the intruder was secondary to him losing his full clear streak, he admitted. they tease him a lot about it.

4. kuina has a butterfly tramp stamp on her lower back. she got it early on in her transition, and it was a moment of rash impulsion she sometimes regrets. in the borderlands, there were more important things to do than to be embarrassed of it, but in normal life, it's strange.

the first time ann sees it, she doesn't think much of it. as kuina and her become more comfortable with each other, she feels the urge to reach out and trace it growing — but she tries tucking that want away, no matter how it tries to take flight.

of course, the butterfly represents get metamorphosis as a trans woman.

5. sometimes when arisu falls into deep grief as he blames himself for his friends' deaths and usagi knows words can't reach him, she offers his hand and he squeezes for as long as they need.

6. because chishiya worked at the hospital pre-borderlands, he used to take breaks out the back. he tried smoking, but it never stuck. there were often stray cats in the alley who would peer at him curiously. as cat laws go, of course, they love anyone who seems disinterested, and they would roll on their bellies for pets.

sometimes he'd oblige, and the cats would push their furry heads into his hands. mostly he'd just stare and ignore them until they tottered away.

after the borderlands, the cats were still there, of course. he opens his hands for more pets these days. there's a certain trust in their eyes that says, i understand you too. if on their monthly checkup to his apartment to make sure he's not being a hermit, arisu and the crew spot an extra friendly meowing creature drinking from a bowl of water near the kitchen, he'll deny any accusations of adoption.

MORNING KISSES- ryohei arisu x gn!reader

୨୧ . . . content— established relationship, fluff, gn!reader.

the fact that it was an hour past your alarm didn't bother you as it usually would, neither did the numbing feeling in your legs caused by being in the same place for too long. all that mattered to you right now was Arisu who was peacefully laying across your front with his limbs entangled with yours. he looked so calm with his face pressed into the juncture of your neck that you wouldn't dare wake him, even if that meant missing your morning walk. you had both had a late night yesterday, arguing over a stupid pair of shoes until you realized you weren't mad at eachother and were both just exhausted from work and the tedious activities of the day. your day ended with him curled up on your chest as you pressed peck after peck onto his sun kissed skin, but inevitably you both fell asleep comfortably in each other's grasp.

with your left hand buried in Ryohei's soft locks and your right holding onto his hand that was lying by your waist, you simultaneously thumbed circles onto his knuckles while stroking gentle patterns on his scalp. you weren't sure if he was able to feel your mannerisms in his dream state or not but nevertheless it made no difference to you as you kept up your benevolent movements.

the first thing Arisu did when he awoke was enclose you in his arms, hugging you tightly while pressing a soft kiss to your neck. you let out a relaxed sigh and basked in his love until he decided to move, all the while still brushing through his dark tresses with your fingers. "g'morning, sweetheart" despite having been in a relationship with him since high school five years prior to this and living with him for two of those years, his morning voice never failed to make you flustered. "morning. good sleep, love?" you asked once you'd recovered from your momentary butterflies. All you got in response was a 'hmm' as you felt your boyfriend nuzzle his head further into your neck, you chuckled and ducked down to press a kiss to his forehead. "love you, Ryohei"

a tingling sensation crawled up your spine when your lover whispered the same phrase, his soft lips and hair tickling your bare skin whenever he shifted. as the sun cast its light onto Arisu's face it seeped through your curtains and into the warmth of your shared room, illuminating the previously dark space.

you peered down to check on your lover as you felt his breathing slow down again, although it was nice to have him in your arms you really did need to start the day. shuffling yourself so that your eyes were level with his you started to pepper his face with kisses, pleased and also feeling encouraged to continue when you heard a breathy laugh escape him. you remained kissing the mass of his face, paying extra attention to his moles and freckles. "gotta wake up, honey. can't sleep the day away" a playful groan was heard throughout the room and a pout made its way into his plump lips. "just a lil' longer please" he was too adorable to deny, you would probably give him the world if you could, but unfortunately you couldn't so you settled with agreeing to give him another half hour with him in your arms.

grinning, he left a kiss on your lips, though a messy one you adored him and his kisses all the same. after about five seconds he released your lips from his with an exaggerated 'mwah!' and decided one wasn't enough so dove back in for another which you gladly accepted and reciprocated. a second kiss turned into a third and soon that third had turned into far more than a dozen love filled pecks with the occasional giggle. "I - love - you - so - so - much" he whispered in-between movements which caused your already warm face to heat up. "I love you more"

"not possible"

the rest of your day was spent scattered around your shared apartment, but no matter where you ended up you were always in each others arms.

arisu tucked the strand of hair behind your ear, admiring your face. his thumb rubbed gently across your cheek as you smiled up at him.

"you're really everything i've ever wanted," your voice was soft, making sure not to be too loud as you were at arisu's house, and his father and brother wouldn't appreciate the noise. "my everything."

"i should be saying that to you," he replied back, his eyes were like an optical illusion with hearts - he was so in love with you. "you're so beautiful."

you sat up gently and held his cheek before connecting your lips together.

arisu's hand rested on your hips. he was always respectful with where he placed his hands and you always appreciated that.

his lips were hungry for yours, but you pulled away, leaving him sighing to himself.

"you're needy," you teased. "but i love you."
