and considering this is a track lando has never vibed with while it's literally oscar's favorite track and one he achieved a lot of success on in junior categories, i'm happy with this result versus a 2023 repeat. frostytill said on reddit jeddah is to oscar that imola is to lando and that's true. if we're expected to believe oscar is this generational talent, people have got stop reacting like this anytime he finishes in front of lando in any session. lando outqualified carlos in 2020, and their points h2h even went into the final race, yet nobody was calling carlos washed over less than .100 second 🤔
Jeddah to Oscar = Imola to Lando is so apt
saw someone use the word "dominated"
there was at most a tenth and a half between them across the 3 sessions, if we're getting specific: 0.150, 0.136 and 0.043....
Mercedes had a similar gap and more between them across the sessions, are they going to say George dominated Lewis?
this narrative is so fucking old and boring, it's a GOOD thing McLaren has two drivers who qualify well ffs

"Inspiring and unforgettable experiences ❤️ Last week in Jeddah we visited a local school for children with disabilities, where we were shown around their facilities, met students and got involved in activities 🙏 The next day, we welcomed some of the students into the paddock for a chance to learn about our Team and even meet Lewis! 😁" - march 13, 2024 📷 @.mercedesamgf1 / instagram

this garbage showed up on my tiktok fyp and i think this is a good time to talk about how sick and tired i am of how arabians are treated
This horse is very clearly extremely stressed and angry and yet people choose to poke fun at it because „omg arabians are so crazy and mean lol🤪“.
No. Arabians are neither crazy nor mean, they are intelligent, loyal, unbelievably kind and sensitive horses. The reason they get so much hate is because contrary to some other breeds, the „i‘m your boss and you better submit to me or else“-mentality that too many equestrians have often doesn't work on them. An arabian will not only see right through your bullshit, but also call you out on it and demand that you listen so if your behaviour/attitude makes an arabian act like this, it’s a sign that you need to change, not that the horse is crazy. It breaks my heart to see that attitudes like this seem to be so normalised in the horse world. Arabians deserve so much better

do you have anything planned in terms of the aladdin characters for your disney parents series? cause as much as king of thieves was a banger of a movie, i feel they missed an opportunity with giving us details about aladdin's mom. hell, in the animated series, we barely got anything about jasmine's mom.
Yes! I haven't written up a backstory for the Aladdin Parents yet but ive got some small germs of ideas.
And happily enough Disney has actually given us a real design and even name for Aladdin's mother from a comic books story, here's Zena!
Tumblr media
I also subscribe to the scrapped Aladdin 3 idea of revealing Mozenrath, a villain from the TV show, was Aladdin's half-brother, so I'll include my oc of his mother in the story as well, a sorceress named Morgiana (name taken from a character in the original 40 Theives story)
Tumblr media
And finally I did find one design for Jasmine's mother, who've ive decided (for now anyway, might change) to name Badroulbadour, as this was the Princess's original name in the og Aladdin story.

bless your heart anon – it's okay, i hope that you do take the time to do a little read into the region - it's actually really interesting!
and you know, here's a fun fact i've noticed a lot about people from iran and iraq specifically - the majority of my iranian friends prefer to introduce themselves as "persian" before they say "iranian" - it's kind of funny - and my dad, who's iraqi, much prefers to introduce himself as "babylonian" rather than iraqi - i think it's so interesting to see - that they're not eager to claim the nationality that has been carved out for them by the modern day division of the middle east (as per the sykes–picot partition imposed by the british), but are so proud to proclaim their heritage based on the greater history of their regions and their people. i think it's interesting, i think it's interesting. maybe i should start introducing myself as babylonian, like my dad. sumerian, actually, i think. i've always been so interested in sumerian culture specifically,, (it was one of my special interests, at a time!) and i've done so many research and art projects based in that history... ough. i should get back into it, maybe.
