Am i the only one who is confused about the fact that Hook was able to redeem himself in less than two episodes yet Regina took 2 seasons? Its the fact that he did bad things too in s2 and they just brushed it off by the season finale (s3). Acting like a few days ago (s2) he didn't just betray Emma for his own good. Also, Greg told him Regina was going to get tortured, he also asked Hook to help and he said only if we kill rumple. This man doesn't seem to give a shit and is redeemed so easily. Btw, I'm not saying that it took too long for Regina's redemption because it takes a place in her development and I'm happy that it was gradual

Look, I'm not usually one to tell people what they should ship or not. Really, that's not my business.

Yes, there's a "but".

But I am one to "tell" the writers what they should write.

The thing about captainswan? Other than the total absence of chemistry between the actors? Hook is the kind of guy that makes my skin crawl.

There's two kinds of redemption arcs. The ones that work and the ones that don't. Not surprisingly, male characters tend to have the latter. For two reasons: 1. the writers tend to think guys should have everything forgiven to them for the smallest effort. 2. toxic masculinity. Yeah, men get away with a lot just because "boys will be boys". They have the right to be rude, or even toxic, just because they are cis straight males full of testosterone. (I need to vomit istg)

Don't know why but people who ship Lily Evans and Severus Snape and the excuses they come up with as to why Lily and James Potter are a toxic ship remind me of people who think Killian Jones and Emma Swan is a toxic ship.

Both shippers remove any sort of decision from the female half of the ship as well as equate them to dolls that are just fine being pushed into whatever situation the male half of the ship puts them in.

Lily Evans and Emma Swan are strong women who are very capable of choosing the person they love and they will not be persuaded by a pretty face into things that they do not consent to.

I wanted to reach out and apologize for the AI art I posted recently. I didn’t realize what AI really was. I got a bunch of nasty messages that I obviously defended because I didn’t know what the issue was. Some people don't realize there are normal people out there that do not know what AI art is other than what those companies who create the generators tell them. That it is all computer generated. Normies might not know that the generators are actually stealing from other artists. But it wasn’t until someone reached out and kindly explained what the issue with AI was that I was able to understand. I have taken down all the AI art and deleted the AI generators after reading into it more. Thank you very much to the person who talked to me about and answered all my questions. I appreciate you.

I edited an image using a beach picture from California that I took, an image of my husband and I, then I added posterization/ Oil painting.

On a funny note, my son looked at the image and was like "Why are you making Hook fat?" I do not think my husband is fat at all, but still thought his comment was funny. Maybe I should have him lay off the Zebra cakes and Fudge Rounds. LOL. Totally kidding of course.

I just rewatched OUAT season 1 and realised something.

From a writing perspective, the show feels complete with the main characters in season 1 - Rumple, Regina, Snow, Emma, David and Henry.

There was no need for Hook to become a main character from a writing standpoint. I’m saying this very critically. His character doesn’t serve any purpose to the plot, he’s just there as Emma’s love interest. It’s the same with Zelena and Robin. They never brought anything unique to the show in the later seasons. All these characters should have been left behind after season 3, after their story arcs were completed. Their actions have not contributed to the main plot in an entertaining way and rather seemed forced. Hook’s story arc should have been limited till Rumple and Neal. Also, I think this is the reason why Neal fit so effortlessly into the story for me. He is directly connected to the plot and Baelfire has been there from season one. As for Regina and Emma’s love interests, Regina anyway ended up having none towards the end of the show so what was the need to drag the Robin chapter so long with all the back and forth? If they introduced Robin, they could have killed him off way sooner, that way it comes full circle for Regina or not introduced him at all and have Regina separate from someone else she loves (not Henry). Having another loved one being killed but this time she coped with it in a healthy way. That’s what they made Robin’s death about anyway. It still felt forced though. And Emma could have rekindled her relationship with Neal to complete the family circle or even stayed single leaving their relationship open ended. Maybe she could have had a fling with one of the side characters in any of the seasons while keeping Neal constant in her life (maybe even August since they already built up a little bit of that chemistry in season one. They should have kept him around more, I think he would have been a useful secondary character). I don’t think her arc needed a love interest & married with a family in the traditional sense anyway. She was grew up in our world and should have ended up with somebody who would understand her in both ways. All these main characters did not need side characters like Hook, Robin or Zelena to become series regular. They felt complete within themselves, their stories felt complete and didn’t need to be complicated with forced storylines involving these other characters 🤷‍♀️

WISH HOOK AND EMMA ISSUE

COMPARING ZELENA AND ROBIN TO WISH HOOK IN S7 AND EMMA IN S7

(It's scary how similar they are)

So you guys should know the Zelena and Robin incident in s4. It reminded me of something from later season. So, last night, I saw several posts saying " S7 Wish Hook is 10000x times better than normal hook," And honestly agree, wish hook in s7 was the these best I've seen in Hook. However, I had remembered something from season seven, that made me side eye the air at 2am. 

I'm gonna compare the Robin and Zelena incident in season four and Emma and Wish Hook in s7.

Zelena makes herself into Marian who's the supposed 'alive' wife of Robin. Zelena planned on doing stuff to him that Robin consented to, but he consented to Marian not Zelena.

Now, in s7, wish Hook wanted to make himself younger to pose as Normal!Hook, and planned on never telling Emma. So, If his plan ever did work and the relationship goes far to the point they, yk, with Wish! Hook and with Emma not knowing, that'd be r4pe, bc Emma would have consented to doing "it" with hook.

But without wish hook, S7 Hook- Roger's is

the best hook. And him and Tilly are a great father- daughter relationship (ill also accept his father- daughter relationship as Wish Hook). I just find Wish Hook to be weird. What do you guys think? 

(Pls be respectful, I'm trying to keep this one post to not be rude cuz I just want to see ppls opinion on this. PS. I made this last year but it kind of feels weird to say, but it is what is and was what it was.)

He's backstory with Rumplestiltskin was interesting - liked the spin on the Crocodile story

I know that two of these are actually about another charcter in the show but this was difficult lol
