What jobs do you think Percabeth would have other than marine biologist and architect?

for percy, i've always imagined him being a teacher and/or author when he gets older. it's already established in canon that he wrote the pjo books himself, and his mother is also an author (like mother like son!) and i think he would be a teacher because of his past experiences with education and desire to keep other students from having similar experiences. as an author, he would write books easier for dyslexic (+ other neurodivergent) people to read - adventures, yes, but also vignettes, and retellings, and anything he finds interesting to write about. as a teacher, he would cultivate the classroom environment he and many others never got to have.

as for annabeth, i think it's a little trickier. she wants to have a hand in building something that lasts, because so many things in her life have broken down too early. and i also think that as an architect, not only can she build things that last, but also build...at all. it's something that is within her grasp, and i think that's incredibly important for her, because so much of her life has been in the hands of fate. as an architect, she can design to her heart's content.

considering these things, i'd say annabeth would be an artist - specifically, a sculptor. like an architect, she's starting with a blank, white slate (marble, paper) and creating something with her hands (chipping away at stone, scratching away at paper.) and the result can stay standing for millennia.

when it comes to jobs for percy, i think interaction and impact is key there. he wants to interact with people, and he wants to have an impact, big or small, on their lives. and some of the most impactful things in life are books and teachers, and i think he would do both. for annabeth, i believe she'd want something that gives her the power - to build, to create, to sustain. and art can do those things, because art has no limits, and the last thing annabeth really wants is another limit on her life and on her passions.

Sometimes I feel like everyone expects me to be perfect all the time. As if they expect perfection from everything I do and say.

It is honestly crushing.

It didn't use to get to me, when I could keep up to their expectations. Hell, I even put those expectation to myself. Sometimes I didn't even need to try. I would do the bare minimum and it would be enough.

But lately it's been taking a toll on me. I am barely managing. I am behind in most of my works. I leave everything to the last minute because if I don't even attempt to do it, I won't disappoint anyone, not even myself. Because if I don't try then I can say that it was cheap because I didn't even put effort into it.

I don't think I could manage to put all of me into something, anything really, and it be poor. I don't think I could mange to be mediocre, but it seems to be what I am becoming.

It scares me, really, to do everything that I must do. It scares me, really, because the expectations are getting higher and higher and I can only jump so high.

They say it to the air, but I can hear it: "she will crush us all". I truly wish I could, as bad as it sounds, but I doubt I can. They look at me for answers, but I do not have them.

It is getting harder and harder to be perfect, to do perfection.

I am terrified of failure, actual failure. It paralyses me. So instead of trying and falling I stand still, stuck in place, drowning under the weight of who I am supposed to be and that that I am supposed to do, pretending I am special under the excuse of not even trying.

I am scared of failure and I am failing, so I add everything I see into my bag and pretend I can keep it up. And pretend I am the perfect little student I have always been.

They praise me and adore me. And I am scared that if they see how ordinary I actually am, they will not remember me. That I will not be worthy of their love.

They expect me to be perfect, I think I do too, but while I once was it, now I am nothing but a mediocre taking on the weight of the perfects.
