i think chiron would make a good dm. with what percy has said about his classes i think he’d do real well with the story telling aspect.

dionysus never plays but he’s has multiple character sheets at the ready just in case.

let’s not think about percy and sally in the context of the “the underworld” mother-son duet from the new saga. let’s not think about what could have happened if hades was more cruel than depicted in the books. or about percy not being able to return the bolt in time. or percy rushing to the underworld only to find his mother’s spirit aimlessly walking through asphodel. the only thought left in her mind is to wait for her son.

that one day he’ll come for her, but that day will never come because percy is destined for great things and the fates will not allow him the peace of being with his mother in asphodel. so sally will roam for the rest of time waiting for her son and percy will never be able to put her to rest.

sad thing is, while i was panicking the only thing i could think about was that my application for insurance benefits at work haven’t been processed yet. i would need to pay out of pocket if something did happen. love this country man.

I just pinched a nerve in my hip and now my right arm and leg are numb. I can still feel things with them and move them and everything but there's that internal numbing sensation of a fucked nerve and i was just about to fall asleep so I thought I was having a stroke. I also can't actully go to sleep now bc my middle of the night brain has me half convinced I will have a stroke in my sleep. I am 23. and mostly healthy. I am not a usual recipent of one such medical tradgey. go. to. sleep. we. have. work. today.

My (current) Quirk (that i use when I daydream)

So I call it Sacrifice. It's based a little off of Alastor from Hazbin and off of some basic, stereotypical demon powers.

The user of the quirk has the usual demon powers:

shadow manipulation

Shadow teleportation

enhanced senses

enhanced physicality

night vision

high endurance

very high pain tolerance

summoning other (actual) demons

possession

communicating with hell (or wherever the dark entities come from)

etc

The name 'Sacrifice' comes from the main part of the quirk:

The user is able to extend their lifeforce (how long they will live) by making deals with others to take a piece of their lifeforce. And when they use their powers, it uses some of their lifeforce as well.

Say that the user is now 25. Average age of death is around 75-80, so they have maybe 50-ish years left to live.

The amount of lifeforce taken by their powers is determined by the intensity of the power used.

controlling shadows to make shapes across the walls for a few hours or to make them tangible and trip someone could take maybe a month.

Summoning a shadow creature or demon can take years. Lets say 5 years.

So the user(25) has 50-ish years left. After summoning a demon, they now only have 45-ish years left. That make sense?

(The user would feel instinctively how much time they have left.)

Now, with the deals.

It needs to be consensual. but it doesn't need to be informed consent.

Lets say that the user meets someone who wants an abusive ex dealt with. Obviously, the user would probably handle the ex anyways, but just bc they can, they make a deal.

so the user says, "for a month of your time, I'll handle them for you." they agree, hands are shaken.

The deal needs to be completed on the users side for it to work, so the user deals with the ex, and gets an extra month. The other person has now lost a month.

For uninformed consent, it could go something like this:

"I'll make it worth it. for just of bit of your time?" not insinuating what that time really is

"Hell, you can take half my life if you get this job done!" probably assumes their time as in need to be with them for whatever reason for a certain amount of time. info gathering or questioning or something

Hands are shaken, deal is complete. The user just got 50 extra years (100+ in total) and the other person is now down to 3 years left.

I also want to talk a lot about how my character has so much trauma and deals with alot of quirk discrimination, but i will make another post about that later.

i just want one (1) mainstream story to have the villains win. especially when the villain has perfectly reasonable goals. like, killmonger!?!?? he just wanted a advanced, rich, resourceful country to help other people around the world who aren’t in a position to help themselves.

and of course, disney knew many of us would agree with him so they made him an aggressive, violent, tyrant towards the people of wakanda. when, with how smart he is, irl he would have probably approached wakanda to try and make an ally ship in search of resources to help his people,

also the border smashers (or whatever) from fatws. all they wanted was to unite the people of the world after a huge tragedy literally halved the entire population. disney made them killers and shit too. what the hell?!

y’all need to stop making amazing villains with amazing goals just to make them killers or shitty people
