What I Wish Had Happened But Didn't: Rey should've had a near-death experience and got a chance to interact with Yoda or possibly even Kenobi and Anakin. And FinnPoe! And more screentime for Rose! And also, Rose and Rey should've got a chance to interact.

What Happened that I Wished Didn't: Idk probably the fact that Rey somehow became the granddaughter of the most evil person ever known by the galaxy just to make a point that yeah, she's powerful when she's powerful ON HER OWN. They could've made her a result of a genetic experiment conducted by Snoke or someone who was obsessed with recreating Palpatine's legacy (maybe even a stronger one) and Rey has to fight THAT EVIL.

Royal Ambitions

  It seemed so long ago Rey was left on Jakku by parents she never got to know, left on a planet where she’d scavenge for her meals and scratch into her fallen AT-AT shelter the days since her parents left, hoping against hope that they’d return, desperate to know who she came home.

 Fifteen years worth of scratch marks later, In the middle of the night Rey was awoken by several stormtoopers and asked to leave her shelter, she was taken by surprise. Without reason to protest she did what they asked and exited, what came next shocked her to her core “You are to meet with the Emperor.” She tried to ask why and the only response she received was a short “classified.” She was then taken to an interceptor starfighter and whisked away to the stars.

 The trip there was pleasant enough but she felt more like a prisoner on escort she asked many more times why the Emperor would want to see some scavenger from Jakku but was answered with silence, then once a harsh “Stop asking”. They docked with an incredible star destroyer, one that she’d learn later was called the Eclipse, flagship of Emperor Palpatine.

 Ushered from the docking bay to the throne room, one lined with red clad Royal Guards who’s appearance reminded Rey of what red ghosts would look like. Begrudgingly she moved close to the throne, to where Emperor Palpatine sat. She wasn’t prepared for his countenance let alone for what he said next, he told her that she was his granddaughter and to be married to a Lord Vader. 

 Rey was so in shock that she couldn’t remember Palpatine’s whole reasoning to having her marry Lord Vader, she heard some things about making sure the force remained strong in their family. When she shook out of the initial shock she remembered saying no or declining in some fashion and trying to escape the throne room hearing Emperor Palpatine say “Young Fool” before ordering the Royal Guards to immobilize her and send her to interrogation for reconditioning.

 Rey lost count of how many days, weeks, or perhaps even months she was held in interrogation and subjected to an IT-O interrogator droid. What was worse than the pain was the lack of anyone there, she’d later learn it was due to her blossoming force abilities and that they didn’t want to risk her using a mind-trick on any of the guards to allow for her to escape.

 Eventually, Rey broke, and agreed to Emperor Palpatine’s wishes, and alone with some of Palpatine’s closest advisors was taught to leave Rey of Jakku behind and embrace being Rey Palpatine, granddaughter of Emperor Palpatine of the Galactic Empire, it included training in the ways of the force and the many conquests of Lord Vader.

It wasn’t long after until Rey would meet her betrothed. She was told to go to Emperor Palpatine’s personal dining hall and wait for Lord Vader to transfer from his flagship the Executor to Palpatine’s flagship. Rey was dressed in an amalgam of Imperial and Naboo fashion with headdresses and makeup to match, even though she looked stunning, she hated the outfit.

 Rey sat on one side of the head of the table, a seat reserved for Emperor Palpatine himself. The seat right across from hers was to be for Lord Vader himself. When she heard  the door open she stood up and watched Lord Vader enter the hall, a terrified feeling coiled in her center, a feeling she tried to push away.

 After a moment of silence, Rey was shocked to hear Emperor Palpatine say. “He was once known as Anakin Skywalker, before Vader killed him, Lady Rey Palpatine meet your betrothed, Lord Vader.”

There's no way for him to know how to braid Leia's hair this exact way because everytime she's went to teach him the grief is too much but padme's best friend, the person she gave her daughter to, was alderaan, of course she knows how to do this. This is totally out of the blue but when I saw that you ship Anirey, I couldn't help but squeal. Sadly, Anirey content is so, so hard to come by

Hey! It is hard to find Anirey content, isn’t it? I do have a not finished Fic on AO3, but lost the steam for it. I adore Anakin and Rey’s relationship when it’s allowed to happen. I really enjoy RPing it out. Admitedly, I also adore Anidala but being that I don’t RP with Polyamory sadly Anakin has to choose (and it’s always fun to have Rey silently pining for her married best friend… though admitedly it might lead her down a dark path…)

But yes, hello, I love Reylo and Anirey and there is nothing that will change that!
