Okay okay now that I’ve seen rut/heat Drift I have to know who else is the softest/the worst on the lost light when in rut/heat also are they nesting? I need to know all the good little details ~

First of all, I LOVE the idea of nesting for them. Since there arent typically many soft things on cybertron, i feel like its pretty rare to nest with blankets, so I think rather than nest, I think cybertronians would more likely retreat to a safe territory, hiding under berths or in somewhere safe and dark, like a cave or dimmed hab suite to hide.

as for softest/the worst---

Okay so, i can't give my takes on all of them, but i can give you my hcs for best and worst!!

BEST: FIRST AID!

I mean, he's a doctor right? He understands self care is important, he understands that his work can't stop for most things, but he also recognizes that nobody is immune to their instincts when they crop up, so he'd be VERY responsible with his heats. I think he'd be the most likely to have a heat tracker of all of the crew, probably would get the first warnings, book time off, and go into his quarters to handle himself until it rides out.

BEST: NAUTICA

I think nautica's heats would make her less feral and more sleepy. I feel like she would be sort of stumbling around, lightheaded, a little loopy, and one of the like thousand amicas/partners she has would notice and bring her home to take care of her. I think in the polar opposite way to first aid, Nautica's strength is in her support system, people willing to notice for her if she's too absorbed in work to notice her own heat drives kick on. I also think she'd be very cuddly during heats, so enter her hab at your own risk if you don't want to be dragged into the cuddle puddle.

WORST: TAILGATE & WHIRL

I'm lumping these two together because in my head they are in a polycue with each other, I think that cyclonus has surrounded himself with a perfect storm of absolute sex pests when they go in heat.

For Tailgate- I'm going to give you the facts here. 2 weeks of existance. and then. 6 million years in and out of a coma. THATS. 6 MILLION YEARS. OF POTENTIAL FUCKENERGY TRAPPED IN THE SMALLEST GUY EVER. Add on the fact he is SUPERNATURALLY STRONG. There is no way to contain Tailgate in a rutt, you have to pray he nests himself because if he gets even a little bit loopy from the heat and decides to go looking for his boyfriends, you cANNOT STOP HIM. I also think tailgate is absolutely fucking hung for a minibot, but thats neither here nor there.

For Whirl- a similar boat to Tailgate, to a lesser degree. I think whirl can absolutely get it, and has gotten it, but on the lost light, its a bit harder of a sell. and for a guy who's already a bit crazy and has no hands to jerk himself off? Whirl definitely goes more feral than Tailgate does, I think he'd also be the type to hunt down one of his partners, though he wouldn't feel even a bit of shame about it.

Sometimes, i fear, their heat/rutt cycles overlap. and. well.

i have a lot of postal dude headcanons, so ive split them up.

so heres my postal 1 dude headcanons

p1 dude has a special interest on the jets and weaponry used in ww2 and the vietnam war, but also the U.S military as a whole. he specifically likes to collect vintage U.S military memorabilia and propaganda. he can go on for hours about the faults of the government and government greed and corruption, he hates the system. he also knows a lot about JFK assassination theories and will go on for hours about them.

oh yeah. postal 1 dude is autistic.

he also has a spin on guns. he knows them all by name and loves to learn about different manufacturers and how each one are built. he knows how to deconstruct them and put them back together. he even has some guns he's made himself. legal? probably not. he doesnt care.

p1 dude also prefers reading in books for information instead of searching the web for them, so amongst the mess of his house is just piles upon piles of books.

p1 dude also is great at poetry. he loves writing too, which is why i think he started his diaries.

he also loves drawing! he loves going out and drawing scenery the most, he also likes drawing nude figures. he finds the human body to be interesting.

p1 dude is religious. im divided on if i see him as someone whos spiritually aligned closer to catholics (though i wouldnt call him a straight up catholic, he doesn't like the church.) or pagen.

talking about pagen dude, correct me if im wrong, i dont know much about pagenism (but ive been trying to learn more as of recent), but he specifically worships greek gods. out of the gods, his favorite is ares.

he hangs around poostall dude a lot. they arent really friends, they're kinda opposites of each other, but poostall looks up to him as a mentor in philosophy among other things.

he used to be active in his local punk scene when he was younger. he has a lot of cds and tapes of obscure bands that almost no one has heard of.

he loves metal more then anything though, and he also has a large collection of horror films (all on vhs, a few of dvd. he doesnt have his dvd player plugged in so he only uses it if he has too. also refused to buy blueray. if its the only option he burns it onto a disk himself.).

his favorite genres of metal are melodic death metal and prog metal. i would also say dsbm but i feel like thats too corny. he loves opeth. also death.

he's non-speaking most of the time by choice. the older he's gotten the more he started to isolate himself, and he usually chooses to ignore people when theyre talking and not respond at all, mainly just people who ask for directions and stuff on the street he'll just ignore. he just doesnt feel the need too, he likes to stay invisible.

talking about that, he hates leaving his house. it used to be because of anxiety but it slowly became due to his other mental health issues getting worse, especially his fear of everyone being out to get him/everyone else being demons/whatever your interpretation of his reasonings behind postal 1 is.

he needs glasses. his sunglasses also has his normal prescription lenses in them, his eyes are sensitive to light so he chose to make them sunglasses too (i believe this is possible. if its not, well it is now). he also has a 2nd pair that are just normal glasses, he uses them only to read or when he's walking around his house at night. (this is totally not me self reflecting with the realization that i just found out i need glasses..../s)

I DONT KNOW HOW I FORGOT TO MENTION but also has a special interest on nuclear disasters, nuclear power plants, and radiation. theyre not separate theyre all apart of one fixation that branches off the core idea of nuclear power. like he cant have one without the other. if that makes sense.

also uses he/they. he doesnt out right say it, he doesnt use social media so its not like, in a bio or anything. he just naturally picked it up. will also accept she being used to refer to himself, but is not something he states publicly or asks people to do. he was surrounded by the queer community growing up as most of his highschool friends were apart of the community so he just one day realized he wasnt opposed to it being used in reference to himself.

he is an ASSHOLE. he used to be more considerate in his youth but the older he got the grumpier he got. he is SCARY when he insults someone. like he will have an entire ass speech of him just degrading someone until they literally have nothing left to say for themselves.

doesnt get angry though. he's calm when hes upset and frustrated, or will straight up just make fun of and make harsh jokes about the situation (i mean that like. if he gets into a disagreement with someone on the street he will laugh at them and mock them by teasing them. thats what i mean.)

Part of me kinda wants to stop DMing my first and current campaign? IDK just need to vent

So, brief expo. like many, got into CR during the pandemic (mainly due to "The Legend of Vox Machina" which lead to me actually bingeing the all 3 campaigns) During which time a friend (who was in my immediate friend group but like the rest of my friend group, i didnt really feel close to) told me that he was really into CR as well. As a fresh new critter, i was stoked. Was able to share my blossoming love of CR with someone (FINALLY!) during which we both mentioned how D&D looked so much fun and that it would be really great to be able to play and ooo what if we got our friends together and played.

After which we discussed, if we did, who would be DM? Seeing as how none of our friends really played D&D our talk lead to either my friend or me and after asking the question "Which do you think you would prefer more?" It was clear i would try my hand at DMing (i like lore in games, and i like storytelling, and im a tad bit of a control freak at times, lol)

Anyway, we eventually got in touch with our close knit of friends, and though i intended to be a standard 6 we suddenly had an 8 party party (and that was with me having to tell even less close friends there wasnt room).

Feeling it would still be manageable (as there was precedent that i could pull inspo from, CR) i began planning a rough idea of a campaign and working with my friends to create their characters and running a session 0 so we were all on the same page. You know standard stuff.

-Fast Forward to current date and time-

It has its stressful moments, but i still am able to enjoy the time with my friends for the most part (though theres a lot of times were ive never felt lonelier) Which brings me to the whole point of the post, my need to vent to the void about this loneliness. Nobody really gets in touch or interacts with me at all. Not to talk about the campaign or even collab on their characters. The most i get are occasional critiques about how i could have done something better couple sessions prior and request to add another person to the 8 person party. When we have sessions, people show up late quite often, leave early quite often, have to cancel as they have other things they are doing (even though we planned and scheduled weeks prior) and even when people are there they somtimes feel like they arent always present. i already feel extremely distant from all of them as they all live closer to each other while i live on the totally opposite side of the state and theyve known each other way longer than i have, but the minimal interactions they have with me, the DM/GM of all people, just continues to add to all of it I know we all are busy with our lives, and that compared to those things D&D is really not that big of a deal or important. And i get that, it is just a game afterall, but it still manages to hit pretty hard

I've communicated my feelings through our time of this campaign, if im being honest, maybe not this indepth. I mean, its partially because i barely see or talk to them (again life gets in the way) but also because i feel extremely guilty for putting this kind of tension to something we are all supposed to be enjoying and relaxing to. Its especially painful as most recently 2 players, who said they would get in touch with me about changes possibly being being made to their characters, never got in touch in anyway shape or form, and its been about a month now? And session is in a week...i didnt even get much as a reply back. Idk, its been almost about a year now and i felt i just needed to get this out somewhere other than debating myself.

a/n: its october yayyyy. the vi tag is getting more content yayyyy. another poly idea YAYYYYY. i wrote this bc in fics reader is always super scared of horror movies and anything scary and i am the exact opposite so here this is!

one of the things that attracted you to caitlyn and vi was their strength. every day they risked their lives to help people and looked damn good while doing it. from the outside, it seemed like nothing could scare them.

caits favorite holiday was valentines day since she's such a romantic. despite their differences, she admired her parent's love for each other and it was passed down to her. she goes all out, making sure to wear reds, whites, and pinks, even putting up some decorations around the house and her office. she gives the both of you treats and hugs and kisses whenever she can and takes you out to do something nice.

vi’s favorite holiday was christmas. when she was younger it was much smaller and lowkey, given that her parents and vander didn't have much money. but with both, she adored the feeling of being surrounded by the people she loved and cared about. she goes all out as well, becoming almost a christmas-zilla with your home decorations and picking out the perfect presents.

both of the women were surprised to learn your favorite holiday was actually halloween. the decorations, the movies, everything. you could watch horror movies that had them staring at the ceiling at night with a straight face. sometimes you even laughed. but, they loved you and decided to indulge. even if the mini skeleton you put in the kitchen scared them late at night when they went for a quick drink.

you find an ad online talking about some new haunted house/carnival in the area that was all the rage and you just had to book some tickets for all of you. when you told your girlfriends you noticed their faces get paler.

in the days before the event, they are very conflicted. they looked up the place online and watched multiple videos just to see “yes it is that bad.”

but on the other hand, you would squeal and tell them how excited you are to go.

so, on halloween night, (with a full moon in the sky, vi pointed out) you all packed into cait’s nice car and went to the carnival

you pull up and there are already people dressed as crazy people and killer clowns in your face. it's perfect

you recommend getting some snacks before the main event but caitlyn definitely declines in fear of throwing up

once you finally get inside the haunted house, you link arms with the girls but notice them trailing behind??? like they're making you go slower because they are literally dragging

at the first scare, you hear vi let out a shrill scream and you start DYING laughing making her pout and tell you to shut up

there was a part with a dingy medical center with crazed doctors and you swear you heard cait start gagging

vi def starts trying to fight people that get too close nearly getting you kicked out

throughout the whole thing, you're just laughing and theyre like !?!?!?

near the end, cait and vi RUSH to the exit and both breathe a sigh of relief

you're still giggling and start cackling when you move to wrap your arms around their waists and they both yell

both too almost scared to get snacks

as you're all eating your treats you have a bright smile on your face and that's the only thing that makes this better for them

“Normally after an incident like this, you’d be sent home with a stern warning for endangering yourself and others,” Ozpin said as he looked Ruby over. “However, I think given the circumstances, I can make an exception.”

Ruby paused for a moment, her once tapping fingers no longer tapping the desk. “An exception?”

Ozpin nodded and passed over a brochure to Ruby. “You’ve heard of Beacon academy, correct?”

“Of course I have, its where my parents went!” There was another pause as Ruby put a few things together. “You’re Professor Ozpin, the headmaster, arent you?”

Ozpin smiled. “The very same. Normally, you’d need to be seventeen to even consider applying to Beacon and then pass a rigorous entrance exam. Though, given the circumstances of putting your life on the line to stop Roman Torchwick, I think an exception is in order since you’ve shown us what you’re capable of. However, unlike the rest of the students, you wont be going through initiation.”

“I… dont understand. You’re offering to let me go to Beacon, but… I wont be going through initiation? I thought that was part of entering.”

“Under normal circumstances, it is.” Ozpin laced his fingers together as he rested his elbows on the table. His eyes wandered around the interrogation room and then back to Ruby as a small smirk crossed his face. “Since you’ll be younger than the rest of the students and skipping ahead a couple years in order to join, you’ll be the first member of a special mentoring program to make sure you’re not only ready to attend classes, but to make sure that you’re caught up with everything you’ll miss.”

Ruby slowly nodded. “Then… I want to do it.”

A smile crossed Ozpin’s lips as he stood up. “An airship will take you to Atlas to start the program at the end of the week. Do not miss it.”

Ruby found herself frozen in fear as she stood in the Atlas Academy entrance hall, hands shaking as she held her bag to her chest. The instructions she had been given was to talk to Ironwood and be brought to the future Beacon students that would oversee her lessons. Though, what she didnt quite understand was why she had to come to Atlas to begin with.

“Miss Rose,” Ironwood’s voice boomed through the entrance hall as he walked over to the young girl. “Follow me.”

Ruby quietly nodded and followed the General through the halls of Atlas Academy and through the military base that resided inside. She had quit paying attention to the twists and turns of the hallway as she followed him deeper into the Academy. Her fingers tapped her bag nervously as she took each step. With Beacon starting in a couple months, she’d do anything to make sure she was ready, but that didnt stop her from trying to question why here.

Ironwood finally stopped at a door and opened it. “You’ll be living here with Weiss Schnee and Penny Polendina for the next couple months as they mentor you to make sure you’re ready for Beacon.”

Ruby slowly stepped into the small dorm room and paused at the sight of the two girls waiting for her. “Hi, I’m-”

“Late.” Weiss rolled her eyes as she looked up from her book, a fresh bandage over her left eye. She stood up and looked over Ruby, a frown crossing her lips. “And apparently a child.”

“I’m… not a child.” Ruby sat her bag down and took a breath to try to calm her own nerves. “Just because I’m younger than you doesnt mean I’m a child.”

“Do not listen to Weiss,” Penny said as she practically bounced off her bed and over to Ruby. “She is like this to everyone she meets. It means that she wants to be friends.”

“I’m only doing this because Father wont let me go to Beacon otherwise,” Weiss retorted.

Ruby nodded and looked between the two girls. While Weiss seemed angry, Penny was almost her polar opposite, bouncing with excitement at the idea of meeting a new person. “Then, I wont let you down.”

“You better not. First we’ll start with the training room so you can show us what you’ve learned so far and that you can handle a weapon.” Weiss started to pack up her books and paused. “And if you prove that you’re not ready to be here, I will let the headmasters know they made a mistake.”

Ruby slowly let out the breath she didnt realize she had been holding as Weiss left the room with her bag. She slowly unpacked her weapon and dust ammo pouch, muttering to herself. “This isnt a mistake.”

“Then you will be able to prove it to her and she will be more open to teach you.” Penny smiled at Ruby and held the door for her. “And I am sure we will all become good friends.”

no i totally get it. like on the one hand i do expect every origin character pairing to have some fans due to the fact that they all have like. unique romances with each other and all that. but man. the relative popularity of gale and astarion with each other would baffle me if i were unable to see fandom patterns. like. in a cast full of rich characters with interesting dynamics and banter and honestly backstories and arcs that parallel each other a ton, those two are some of the least connected to me. which again, it makes sense for the pairing to exist but i think i've seen more of those two together than any other origin pairing besides lae'zel and shadowheart who have a strong dynamic even when you're not playing as either of them and whose arcs have very strong parallels. and the wyll of it all! he and astarion have way more good banter together. it really just feels like pairing up the white guys for no real reason other than they're attractive white guys.

YEAH SAME HERE ! ! ! like i can see them being relatively friendly to one another but in the aspects of romantics i just cant see them connecting like that . half the time i go into a bg tag i will see more of those two than lae'zel/shadowheart or shadowheart/karlach . which is so unfortunate because their arcs [especially shadowheart and lae'zel] are so Complex and interesting and intriguing especially when youre playing as one of them but a majority of ppl r seeing two white guys and go bonkers over the idea of them kissing . genuinely speaking i think wyll/asta makes a ton more sense in my head . like sure they are opposites but theres the dialogue of them both being attracted to one another , and yet its not as popular as the two white guys who arent really connected to one another [a big aspect of that is the fandom racism] . their banters together are really good , and also them being really opposite people but meshing so well together is something so intriguing . if that makes sense ? i dunno i just feel like gale/asta is something that makes sense for it to be popular within fandom patterns but also something that should be thought about more , like why they are being paired together . like its cool to like it but i mean . theres a lot more to pairings ! i hope that makes sense . i just keep seeing blood/weave every where and i just cannot get into it because its not connecting in my head

still not sure exactly how porky stand-in came to be yet (who might be a weasel btw!) but somehow he did, and posters for recruiting members of the masquerade pop up, this interests sam, whos mostly ran out of ideas of how to deal with emptiness at this point, he comes home one day with the poster in hand and presents the idea to max, who of course refuses, which irritates sam. sam lectures max about his mental state, and how locking himself in wont help, and max counters him with pointing out that sam is trying too hard to find a way to fix something he cannot, and to just give up like him. they both are bitches towards each other at this point, and theyre both right (they just dont know it)

of course, sam isnt very glad to be called out, and he pulls out a "very well then" and just leaves max. no goodbyes, no real like connection, no actual bond, just sorta estranged relations

in my honest opinion, his type is someone very similar to geto which i know it doesn't really explain much but he needs someone on the chill side if you know what I mean?

he's a bundle of energy, someone who's always on a sugar rush and pretty much a husky 🥺 so he'll need someone who's very similar to a cat.

Cats arent the best when it comes to being affectionate right off the bat but once they find a person that makes them feel warm and comfortable they stick to him

You decide to help him because of all the good time you spent together and after hours looking for him in the places he usually goes, you find him in your favorite place (a beautiful park where you used to go for a picnic and could see the whole city). There you realize you can't live without each other.

It had now been four months since Jesse had broken up with you. You still had no idea why, but you were moving on. Your relationship had slowly broken apart, you’d become so distant from each other, choosing to spend time away from the other, and Jesse thought it was right to end it.

“Don’t be boring,” Mason sighed, stretching his limbs over your bed. You and Mason had been close friends, even before you and Jesse dated, but it stung to hang out with him sometimes. “Everyone will be there, so come on. They all miss you.”

You spun your head around from your seat at the vanity, giving Mason a look. “Everyone?”

“Apart from Jesse. He doesn’t show up to these things anymore.”

You'd made the decision to go, hoping to reinforce to everyone that you'd moved on from Jesse. Clubs weren't entirely your thing, it was one of your many differences with Jesse. He'd want to celebrate his birthday in a club , but wonder why you looked so uncomfortable sat beside him.

"Y/N," you heard from behind you, Ben's hands placed on your shoulders as he guided you to his booth. Sat there was Mason, Jack, Declan, and Marcus. You greeted them all and sat between Mason and Ben, stealing sips of Mason's drinks from time to time. The boys were all chattering, and you'd joined in, but Marcus kept giving you weird glances. You'd assumed that it was just weird for him seeing his best mates ex acting so happy and care-free, but he seemed to give you a sympathetic smile.

"I'm gonna get some more drinks," Marcus announced, pulling himself up from the edge of the booth and looking at the faces surrounding him, "I don't know your drink, Y/N, so you'll have to come with me."

You followed Marcus to the bar, sitting on one of the few empty chairs at the corner of the bar, waiting for the bartender's attention. Marcus sat beside you, fiddling with the glass in his hand. "I need to talk to you, Y/N."

"I thought as much," you noted, glancing at him and shifting in your seat, "you know my drink, you've ordered it a million times." The pair of you smiled at each other, a brief memory being remembered, but quickly batted away as it included Jesse. He was not a topic to be talking about, but Marcus needed to.

"Jesse isn't doing well, at all." Marcus stated simply, a painful look in his eyes. Marcus was the perfect friend, he knew what Jesse needed but Jesse wasn't willing to chase after it, so Marcus stepped in to help. He saw his friend struggling and decided to help. But your face wasn't sour, like he'd imagined. Your features softened at the mention of Jesse, and how he was doing.

"Why are you telling me this?" You questioned, finally raising your arm at the bartender who'd spotted you both.

"Don't pretend you don't feel anything towards him, Y/N. I can see it on your face." He replied, it as if the grip he had on your hand was urging you to tell the truth, you felt awful lying to Marcus.

"So what if I do?" You asked, no longer feeling the need to conceal your affection towards Jesse anymore. "Why would it matter? He broke up with me, if you forgot. He got home from training and told me to leave. Nothing further."

"I can't speak for him, I really can't. But I know he misses you, he regrets it." Marcus mentioned, tightening his grip on your hand ever so slightly, "and I wouldn't tell you this if it wasn't serious, but he's barely eating, barely sleeping, he doesn't show up to training on time and gets sent home if he's not performing well, he doesn't show up to parties or to hang out. He's gone."

Your heart ached. You could just imagine him now, on his sofa in sweats and carrying his heavy heart around his dark home. And you weren't far off from the truth. He was in bed, bundled up in the duvet and scrolling through your Instagram. It hurt to see you so okay. You had pictures of you and Mason, some of you and the England boys, some with just you glamming up, he'd watched every story, every highlight. You looked like you'd moved on, and here he was still yearning for you.

It had gotten to an hour after looking at your profile now, and Jesse had fallen asleep. Whereas you were just heading home for the night, you'd gotten into an Uber with Mason and Declan, giggling at their half-shut eyes and nonsensical words. You'd all gotten out of the Uber and into your place, the other boys had their own way of heading home, but you'd decided to let these two stay the night.

Even as you'd gotten into bed yourself, you couldn't stop thinking about what Marcus said. About how bad Jesse was feeling inside, and how much he'd let himself slip.

It even plagued your thoughts in the shower the following morning, as you drove with the boys to breakfast, as you'd dropped them back to the place they were staying. You'd gotten home that afternoon and were tired of debating it in your head, you'd locked back up and headed back to your car. The route to Jesse's was pretty familiar, almost like second nature at this point. Some days after a pretty rough day at work, you'd find yourself indicating left to go to Jesse's, and quickly began to indicate right.

You hadn't been here since he told you to leave four months ago. You'd barely paid attention to Jesse's car being missing, after banging on the door several times. He wasn't here, where else could he be? Marcus had said he doesn't go anywhere apart from training. And they were on a break right now.

He misses you, he regrets leaving you. Marcus' words were repeating in your head as you drove down the road to the field. Surely, if he missed you, he'd be here. You'd parked your car as close as you could, and began making your way up the hill. The only times you'd come here were with Jesse, for birthdays, anniversaries, even when you just had an hour together. This was a beautiful spot. It's where Jesse said he loved you, where he gave you all your birthday gifts. You'd spotted a man laying on the grass, head supported by a ball. Hood up and watching the city below it.

You'd come to realise, by the logo on the hoodie, that it was Jesse. You'd kicked the ball from under his head, falling back to meet your eyes. His bored face was swapped for a shocked one, sitting up and checking to see if he was actually seeing you opposite him. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to check on you," you mentioned, sitting beside him and balling up your boat to lay your head on, Jesse had laid back down onto the ball, eyes grazing over your features. You were still a beauty. "I checked your house, and figured you'd be here. What's this I hear about you not doing well at training?"

No matter what was going on between you, you always made sure he ate and was well-rested for training. His career was one of the most important things to him, behind you and Hope of course. So you'd never let him slack, it's only recently he realised how well you looked after him. "Just doing bad this season, I suppose."

"Jesse Lingard doesn't just do bad. I remember him to be a class player," you replied, seeing a brief smile on his face, and you'd mirrored it out of instinct.

"Yeah," Jesse mumbled, "well Jesse Lingard is an idiot."

You sat up as he did, hand on his back as he hunched over. His hands over his face, you couldn't tell whether he was crying or not. "Why's that?"

He decided to be completely honest with you, not wanting to feel this way anymore. "I shouldn't have broken up with you," he sighed heavily, almost regretting saying anything, but now he had to keep going. "I've regretted it ever since I did it. I saw us in a rough spot and thought you might have been falling out of love with me, so I saved myself the heartache and ended it with you. I keep replaying it in my head and I hate myself for it. I just wish I could take it back."

You were stunned. You had no idea he felt this way, that he carried all this regret. "Why didn't you say anything? Why didn't you reach out?"

"Because you looked so happy," he argued, voice cracking from the sudden raise, "I'd scrolled your Instagram every day, I saw how happy you looked with Ben and Mason and other friends. You looked like you had moved on, so I left it."

There was a tense silence, you had no idea what to do or say, you were contemplating being as vulnerable as he was. "It was a façade."

Jesse turned to face you, brows furrowed and hands on his knees now. "What are you on about?"

"I keep telling myself I've moved on, but I haven't. Marcus could see it on my face that I still love you." You admitted, shuffling closer to him and taking one of his hands in yours. "There's not a day I haven't thought of you, that I haven't hoped we'd run into each other."

There was nothing more that needed to be said, Jesse wanted to kiss you. So he did. He held your jaw with both hands tightly and kissed you, making up for these four missed months.

chapter 1 ::

I was sitting at the bonfire, annoyed as fuck watching JJ talk to another female for the night. instead of being beside me, his girlfriend. he’s been chatting it up with fresh bait.

he walks back over towards the keg, I immediately standto confront him.

“the fuck is that?” I stood behind him arms crossed. he glances over his shoulder at me, continuing to fill up his cup.

“what are you talking about?” he turns to face me, sipping on the beverage. I reach forward knocking the cup out of his hand, contents splashing everywhere.

“you don’t get to play stupid, jj. You’ve ignored me all fucking night, to talk to other fucking girls.” I spat, my mind filled with rage.

He scoffs, “why you always gotta make a big deal out of things. As if you arent the center of attention already.”

I throw my hands up, “no the fuck I don’t. Don’t sit here and turn shit around on me.”

JJ pushes past you, “okay, Freya.”

“If you keep walking we are done. I’m serious JJ.”

He stopped for a moment, glancing back at me. We just stared at each other, before he rolls his eyes walking off.

I felt my heart break, shattering with each step. He really chose not to love me? Instead of crying I lean down picking up a halfway filled vodka bottle; decision made to drink the pain away.

A hour later you were laying flat against the sand. Noises filled around me as I stared up at the stares.

“There you are! Jesus, I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” Kies voiced called out.

“What’s wrong love?” She sat down next to me.

“I think me and jj broke up.” I confessed. I was absolutely drunk for sure, but my mind was sober enough to remember why my heart ached.

“What? Are you fucking serious?” I could feel kie get mad, her energy was very strong.

“I told him if he walked away, we-we were done. An-and he did. He ju-he left.” I started to sob. The whole point of drinking is to forget about this. Now all I wanna do is bury myself in the sand.

Kie wrapped me in her embrace as I calmed myself down.

“Hey imma go run and get you some water. Stay here.” She instructed but you didn’t wait for her, as told.

I stumbled around, making my way to the road. Cars parked along the sides, a few voices pulling me out of my daze.

“Freya?” A voice called out, my eyes flicker over to where the sound came from. Rafe Cameron stood there looking at me confused.

Rafe was actually never mean to me, beside how he treated the rest of the group. He always made sure to never throw comments my way. He even once opened a door for me last midsummers. It was weird.

I don’t like Rafe though, He is a dick. Besides I think he’s on drugs with Barry last I heard.

“Rafe?” I stopped walking, the street lights illuminating the area around.

He walked forward, “why you out over here? Where’s your boyfriend.”

I scoffed, “I don’t have one anymore.”

Rafe takes on a surprised look. ‘JJ is more stupid than I thought’ he muttered to himself.

“Do you need a ride home? I was heading out.” He held out his keys.

My eyes flicker from the keys to his eyes. Do I let him take me home, find out where I live? Or walk home drunk as fuck.

“Yeah, why the hell not.” I go to take a step forward and my flip flop got stuck. I stumble forwards as Rafe caught my waist to steady me.

“How much did you drink?” His eyes glare down to yours.

“Not that much, dad.” You push away. Heading off in the complete opposite direction of his truck.

“Hey, princess! Wrong way.” He beeps his truck alarm. I turn around flipping him off.

“I knew the way. I w- I was just making su- sure you knew. You knew the way.” I stumble out.

I never should’ve smoked that joint after drinking all that vodka. I haven’t been this crossfaded in awhile.

Rafe opens the passenger door, you stumble in the seat.

Rafe got in starting the truck, light music played from the radio.

“You sober enough to tell me how to get you home?” I nodded, yawning softly.

“Turn left at the stop sign.” I direct.

“So what happened?” Rafe asked hesitantly.

I bit my lip, no reason not to say anything.

“He gives his attention to every other girl possible.” I muttered out.

“Like I’m not there, li- like I haven’t been there for him through every fuc-fucking thing.” I throw my head back, tears threatened to spill.

Rafe staid quiet through my mini rant.

He finally spoke, “if you were mine, there never be attention elsewhere. I didn’t think Maybank could be that stupid.” He glanced over at me.

“To lose someone like you.”

I felt my cheeks warm, rafe has never shown me this side of him. All of this makes me miss jay, he should’ve been the one taking me home. Telling me he chose me over everyone.

This hurt.

We pulled up to my house, rafe parking his truck. I sat there for a second before glancing over at Rafe.

“Thank you for driving my drunk ass home. And talking with me.” I gave him a soft smile.

He shakes his head, smiling softly. “No problem, Freya.”

I go to open the door but Rafe grabs my arm. “Uhh.. do you think I can get your number?”

I stare at him, “incase you need me to Uber you again?” He saves himself.

I laugh softly before grabbing his phone putting my number in.

“Later loser.” I jump out the truck.

Random Baffy confession ideas >:3c

I was just thinking of scenarios where they'd first realize they like each other and i had two very contrasting ideas

scenario 1: basically daffy is having an anxious meltdown of all meltdowns, going absolutely bonkers and speedrunning the english language as he lists of all the things about himself that he doesn't like and assumes others do not like either, says bugs is so much better than him in 12323 ways, and how he's sure no one actually likes him at all and the only reason anyone puts up with him is because he lives with bugs etc etc and he's just, going off the rails! Meltdown!!!!!! Woohooo!!! And bugs is like :( and like grabs daffy's shoulders and goes like "daffy" and daffy's still going on so he raises his voice, again, "DAFFY!" and daffy's like "...and you're gonna leave me TOO after you realize how much it sucks living with me!" and bugs is just like- looking around awkwardly and then looking back at daffy and looks him in the eyes, ears low and floppy and goes like "...i won't leave ya, daffy. i like you." and daffy responds "you're only saying that cuz you're the local nice guy. you don't have to lie to me, i know the truth." and bugs goes like "...i'm not lying. i'll prove it. close yer eyes" and so daffy does, reluctantly, only after basically saying "that sounds fishy as hell" and expecting a smack to the face or something like that...is instead pleasantly surprised with a kiss. closes his eyes even tighter, is too shy to open them now. when done, bugs finally speaks and says "open your eyes, daffy." and daffy just opens one eye, looks at bugs very confused and bugs is just like "do you get it now, doc? i like you. in that way." as he lets go of daffy's shoulders and moves backwards and daffy is just like o_o JKLHSAKJDHASKJDH!?!?!@!@!>@!@!!!!!?????? wuHUH?????? WHAT???? IS THIS A GODDAMN PRANK??? WAS IT TO JUST SHUT ME UP?????? and que bugs having to reassure him that there's no pranks or anything going on and that he really does just like daffy, plain and simple. and he always has!

scienario 2: so this is like...the complete opposite of scenario 1. something very casual, like they're at some sort of gathering, maybe something like a pride gathering or something, and they're sitting besides each other and someone like lola or tina or speedy makes some sort of comment on how they're always like an old married couple and they just look at each other and go like "huh. guess we are." and they hold hands and just exchange looks that sort of works like a confession of "yeah we're a couple arent we and i like you back lmao" 🥺

i wouldve changed the way homura was portrayed in rebellion, but i would have kept her as a demon. i think they almost had something. so this is pretty much a long post of all my thoughts on this put together.

its hard to put my thoughts about why into coherent sentences but ill try to make it simple? im using a whole lotta sentences when i could be summing it up i know but bear with me:

homura has almost ended the world many times and torn reality apart with the force of her love, but shes not wicked and shouldnt be punished by the narrative for it by becoming 'the ultimate evil oooh'.

homura and madoka are inverse of each other, madoka wants to save everyone (including homura) and sacrifices herself, ignores herself in order to help everyone else for as long as magical girls exist.

which prompts homuras protests of 'what about you?'.

vice versa, its not that homura doesnt care at all for other people, but she cares about madoka and having madoka with her alive and well way wayyy more. like by an incredibly vast margin. her love literally broke reality as they knew it.

Madokas fate: to become a god, the law of cycles, to help magical girls and protect earth forever at the EXTREME expense of herself.

To homura, this isnt fair to madoka or her (she is right). Madoka deserves to live as a regular 14 year old girl and homura deserves to be with her.

You hear her say once or twice ‘what about you?’ and although madoka doesn’t outright say it, shes essentially going ‘what about me? As long as I can do good Im happy’

Madoka would set herself on fire if it would mean everyone else was happy and safe. Homura hates this.

Homura is the same yet different. She would sacrifice herself and suffer for eternity if it meant madoka was safe and happy (especially with her), but shed wreck everyone elses reality if it meant madoka would survive.

Shes not uncaring of other people but theres a vast margin between madoka and the rest of the world for homura.

Shes not evil. Shes boundless love. Love is possessive, irrational, and protective.

The incubators unknowingly fucked up big time by trying to use homura to trap and control madoka, the law of cycles.

They showed homura that they would be evil and exploitative no matter what, if you even gave them an inch to go on. Someone would always try to exploit and control magical girls, especially madoka.

So homura needs to step up her game and become something all-powerful to protect madoka from real evil, because even in her god state she still needs to be protected.

Ive seen satan/the devil/demons portrayed as not evil, but self-serving.

demons and angels can be interpreted as beings who self-serve vs. beings who serve others.

ive seen 'evil' and 'good' in dnd alignments defined as selfishness vs. selflessness sometimes and although its not always accurate to dnd (or morality), i like that idea.

homura is supposed to be madokas equal opposite obviously, in almost everything they do. It makes sense that she could be the devil to madokas god.

So homura becomes a demon to madokas angel.

BUT, shes not the ultimate evil.

The way that devil homura in the movie described herself didn’t make much sense to me. Love isnt morally evil, its neutral at best, and it doesn’t make sense for homura to be truly evil. Also her reason for becoming a god was very vague, and didn’t explain how she was still madokas opposite.

Madoka is very good but shes not like, the absolute concept of goodness. Shes the law of cycles, of protecting magical girls, of breaking the cycle of suffering and putting the power back into the hands of magical girls so that they arent victims of an unfair system. She doesn’t want to live in a world without magical girls.

AGAIN, this selfless act is at the awful expense of herself as a person, as a 14yo girl.

Homura hates this, its unfair to madoka and to her. Homura wants to protect her and be with her forever. Homura also doesn’t care what happens to everyone else as long as she has madoka. This makes homura self-serving in a sense. Selfish but not selfish.

In reality this is pretty neutral, but in fiction this could be a definition of ‘evil’ like I said before.

I think since madokas wish came true in the ultimate sense, so should homuras.

Homura becomes the ultimate selfish devil to madokas ultimate selfless god, but not to be ‘evil’, but to protect madoka for all time. To keep her still very human heart and say ‘What about YOU? whos saving YOU? Ill protect you. ’, to guard her from whatever could hurt/control her forever.

That was her wish, to protect madoka and be with her forever. I think this would make her happy.

Or as happy as two 14yo girls can be as immortal beings, forever being in balance by protecting others and protecting themselves. They can never be normal again.

I like the idea that in this ending somewhere deep deep inside whatever metaphysical plane they reside on, their mortal souls are sitting and dreaming of a simpler life together.
