When You're Sober.
RORONOA ZORO x READER (short)
Summary: Being Roronoa's childhood friend, he's declared for the world to hear how one day, he's going to make you his wife. As adults, you had assumed he moved on, but as it stands..
A/N: I've had this in my head for AHH so long. So I'm writing it before I go back to requests 🤣
Tumblr media
"..are you going to stay this time?"
Child Zoro questioned you. You sighed softly, seeing the tears pricking at his eyes pulled your heart strings in ways the young swordsman couldn't even begin to comprehend. Kuina's funeral had just ended, and Zoro had immediately sought you out. You were a slightly older swordsman pupil, by 2 years to be exact, and Zoro had latched onto you recently, with Kuina jokingly teasing you of how much he liked you. Sure, 11 and 13 weren't too big, but to a kid, it was all the difference. Still though, you couldn't help but care for him.
"..no. I'll be staying at the dojo." You replied, watching him smile, just a bit. You were both still sad after Kuina's death, and you weren't about to leave the mossball all on his lonesome- and you'd grown to like this dojo, as had your father. You were certain you could convince him to stay, rather than travel to another.
"Good! 'Cause I'm gonna marry you one day, so I can't have you leaving!" Zoro declared tearfully, through his shit eating grin, and you quickly angled your head away and growled, "we're not getting married!"
It didn't matter how many times you defended yourself, he wouldn't let up. If flustered and enraged you to no end. No matter how many battles you raged against him, no matter how many times you had him panting and defeated, holding your wooden sword to his throat, no, none of it scared Zoro.
"I'm gonna marry you one day, (Name)!"
Sometimes, Zoro would even sneak into your bed. You realized they were mostly driven by nightmares. You'd hear him slowly open the door, sniffling from tears, and walk over to you. He'd prod your side before diving under the covers with you, snuggling as close to your side as possible. "I know.. you're awake." He'd mumble, wrapping his arms around you. You'd give in, wrapping one around him. "Yeah. Hard not to when ya sneak into my bed." Zoro snuggled a bit closer. "Wanna be close. That's all." You knew it was more. He trusted you. He even began to tell you about the nightmares, and despite yourself, You'd comfort him. Hold him until he fell asleep.
It grew increasingly difficult for you to be mad at him, especially not seeing as it had become almost a game- plus his wholesome and innocent smile was so damn adorable. You figured he'd grow out of it eventually, popping out of nowhere to declare his undying love. Until then, you grew accustomed to him popping out of closets, around trees and doors, and through windows and met his confessions through the clashes of your blades.
Tumblr media
As it turns out, Zoro did grow out of it. The two of you had long since left the dojo together, became bounty hunters, and then became pirates on Luffy's crew. Around 16, and you being 18 is when Zoro had began to stop asking, the questions growing less and less often until they had halted altogether, his mind set on fulfilling his promise to Kuina, to become the world's strongest and carry his name to the heavens, where yours was to find the world's wonders, and the blades of your dreams. In fact, the last time he'd done so..
..Zoro had grown. He knew that, you knew that. He'd never let you live down that you're shorter than him, much to your dismay. You both had barely left the dojo, and Zoro had decided the first thing he wanted to do was drink for the first time. So that's what he did. You chose to stay sober, just in case.
What you hasn't anticipated was just how clingy he'd get when he was wasted.
"Hey.." you were leading him back to the hotel, when without any warning, he'd pulled you into an alley and pushed you gently against the wall. Zoro stared intently into your eyes and pressed himself a bit closer, you could smell the alcohol from his breath. "Fuckin- Zoro! What're ya doin?!"
"So cute.." he'd lean in and smell your hair, his earrings glinting in the moonlight, arms keeping you caged against the wall. "I've waited.. s'long. M' even of age now."
He pulled back a bit, towering over you, and you could feel yourself becoming a furious, blushing mess. Zoro himself was flushed, panting softly, lips parted ever so slightly.
"Wanna marry ya. Wanna marry ya s'bad.."
He slurred, and you flushed a deeper shade of red. His hand reached up to tuck some hair behind your ear, and you were frozen for a long moment. Until you finally came back to your senses.
Shoving his face away, you grabbed his arm and began storming to the hotel,
"Stupid mossball! Ask me again when you're sober!"
He never did.
Sometimes you missed it, how close you and Zoro used to be. Sure, you still had complete trust in one another, and always had each other's backs in battle, but it was as though you'd both spoken so much, that you no longer spoke. You'd still train, sometimes even nap in the others presence, but words had become rarer, instead communicating through looks more often than not, quick and brief. You were beginning to miss his voice.
"(Nameeeeeee).. hey. 'chu doin' all alone?"
Speaking of Zoro- he'd joined you on the rail of the Sunny. On the beach, the rest of the straw hats were celebrating with the locals, and said locals had given Zoro an alcohol like no other. Zoro, believing his tolerance was high enough to take it, decided to drink it during a drinking contest. For the first time in a long while, he was wasted. Again.
"Relaxing. It was quite the battle today." You responded, smiling at the swordsman. His swords rested at his side, and your two rested st your side.
"It was.. f'sure." Zoro agreed, leaning against the railing, "you handled yerself good out there." He placed a hand at the small of your back, smiling at you. "Saw the new technique.. should use it against me sometime."
You awkwardly moved away from his hand, laughing softly. "Yeah, sure, when you're sober." His smile fell ever so slightly, and you tilted your head in confusion. "Ya good there, Zoro?"
"No. I'm not."
He responded, and with little warning, he had you in his arms, practically squishing you against him in a fiercsome hug. "Ack! Zoro! Can't breathe!" You yelped, laughing breathily as you struggled to escape his wrath, deciding to worry about him after you could breathe again.
"....why ya talk ta Sanji s'much?"
Zoro growled, loosening his grip and grabbing you by your shoulders, suddenly pushing you away but still holding you, at arms length. "HAH? Fuck you mean?" "It means.. exactly what I'm askin'. You even ditched training the other day.. ta' talk to that damn cook. Why?" He sounded hurt, and you grew even more confused. "'Cause he's my friend? Plus, I've been taking some cooking lessons from him to help out." Zoro scowled, clenching his teeth and flat glaring at you. His grip was tightening to the point it hurt, and you tried not to wince, instead meeting his glare with one of your own. "What's your problem, Roronoa?! They put angry juice in your damn booze?" You placed emphasis on his last name, which only caused his grip to tighten more. You watched as he opened his mouth, then closed it again, struggling to find the right words to say.
"My problem is, is I wanna fuckin' marry ya, and seein ya with that damn cook pisses me off."
His voice was low, and he loosened his grip, instead opting to massage your shoulders. Yet again, you'd frozen, watching Zoro's glare turn into a pout as he dropped his head.
"I know I know.. ya dont feel the same.. but.. damn it, atleast choose someone better than him."
To say you were shocked was an understatement. You'd never seen Zoro look so defeated, watching him turn his head away. He hasn't given up, but he was about to. Your heart shattered in more ways than one. As his hands dropped from your shoulders, you knew one thing: it was now or never.. but what if these were just..
You reached out and grabbed his hand, staring at the ground. You couldn't look at him- not when he looked like a kicked puppy. "Zoro.."
"...yea?"
"Ask me again. When you're sober. I'll answer you."
Then, you jumped over the edge of the ship, landing on the beach, and ran to join the others, face beet red and guilt boiling deep in your gut.
Tumblr media
He didn't. The next day you both went on as if nothing happened. However, after breakfast, Zoro vanished off the ship, alongside Nami. You'd decided to think nothing of it, however, part of you wished, so badly, that you'd just told him. But you had also decided that if Zoro couldn't tell you when he was sober, then it just wouldn't work.
I've loved him for years.. I thought he'd forgotten. God.. I wish I could turn back time, and accept him. I'm a fool.
"(Name)-chan? You're looking gloomy. That damn Marimo do something to you?! I swear I'll-"
Sanji had approached you, and you cut him off with a wave of your hand. "Its.. just a childhood subject came up. It's touchy." You responded, finally removing your gaze from the table to meet his gaze. Sanji sat across from you, "Wanna talk about it?"
"...not sure what good it'll do." You huffed, fidgeting with your hands. For a long moment, Sanji was silent. Which was odd, seeing as he was usually swooning over you, or whisking you away to teach you a new cooking technique.
"..things will work out between you two. Don't worry. He may be a lumbering fool, but he isn't a total idiot." Sanji said, a twinkle in his eyes. You glanced at him, "whatddya mean by that?" "I mean exactly what I said, darling."
You spent the rest of the day wondering what Sanji could've possibly meant. Working around the ship and making sure everything was ready to set sail in the morning, Chopper dancing around your feet as he helped and rambled about medical knowledge.
As time rolled around for dinner, you were moving to the kitchen with the others, laughing with Usopp at Luffy's antics, when all of a sudden,
"(NAME)! hol.. hold on." Zoro came running up behind you, with something held in his hands. Nami wasn't far behind, but she maneuvered around the two of you to stand with the others.
"Fuck.. never doin that again." He grumbled, dropping to one knee and staring up at you, chest heaving, as he pulled out a small box.
"..zoro?-"
"You.. you told me to ask again when I'm sober. So I am."
"Marry me."
He opened the box to reveal a beautiful black and gold ring. You froze, staring at it, and then at the swordsman, who was staring up at you, just as still as you.
He..
"...fuckin' hell Zoro. Yes, I'll marry you."
The grin that erupted on Zoro's face was beautiful as tears spilled from your eye, and your crewmates cheered behind you both as Zoro pulled you into his arms, slipping the ring on your finger.
"SUPPPPER! finally!" "Yohohohoho! I should play some music!" "Damn marimo.. You'd better take care of her!" Their congratulations fell on deaf ears as Zoro held you, burying his face into your shoulder. The growing wet feeling on your shoulder told you one thing: he was crying, too.
"..I love you. So much.. please, stay at my side for the rest of eternity." He whispered, voice raspy, and you melted into his hold,
"Always, and forever. I've always been yours, Zoro."

How To Make A Cheshire Blush
Tumblr media
Chishiya Shuntarō x reader
You make it your goal to see Chishiya blush
Fluff - Suggestive
I have known Chishiya Shuntarō for a little over eight months since entering the borderland. In that time I have never seen him flustered… Ever.
How is that even possible? What man could be so calm and collected that nothing makes his cheeks flush the color of strawberries? Not even when facing death does his calmness fade…
I glanced over at Chishiya who was watched the group we teamed up with mild amusement as they betrayed each other one by one. How can they all be so foolish? If only they would put their fears aside and trust one another. Maybe then we could all make it out alive and find out who the Jack of Hearts really is. This entire game was so tiresome. I sighed loudly, earning a glance from Choshiya before he returned his gaze to a man sweating profusely as he told another player their suit.
“We’ve been here for days and it’s so…” I folded my arms on the table, “Boring.” I sighed again as my shoulders slumped.
“Find something to do.” Chishiya had zero interest in my boredom and did nothing to try and entertain me.
It wasn’t his problem nor benefit him, so why should he care?
My attention found its way to the pair, Aba and Kotoko. It seemed that they have been attached to the hip quite literally since the start of the game. Studying them closely, they reminded me of a business looking man and his personal assistant.
I chuckled at the thought of all the drama and scandal they might have caused in the old world, especially if he was high up there. I watched as Kotoko pressed herself even more into Aba’s side while he looked as if he held all the power. For a moment I wondered what it would be like to be just like her. To be someone who didn’t rely solely on herself.
I suppose in a way I have some trust to Chishiya, I considered him my friend. He did treat me as a friend though. I also considered Kuina a friend and I knew she thought the same about me. My mind briefly drifted to her and I hoped that she was doing okay, alive somewhere right now.
My thoughts drifted back to Chishiya. He was cool and highly intelligent, not to mention drop dead gorgeous, but something I wonder if he would sacrifice me for his gain.
“I wonder what that feels like.” I muttered as I placed my chin in the palm of my hand.
“What?” Chishiya took a bite from his own bag of cookies as his attention flicked over to where I was looking, “To be a self righteous prick?”
“No.” I shook my head leaning on my chin, “To rely so heavily on someone to protect you that you don’t learn how to protect yourself.”
“You wouldn’t make it very far with that mentality.” Chishiya muttered, “Luckily, you’re too smart for that.”
I grinned at the small compliment from the Cheshire man. It was rare to hear praise from him even if it was usually mixed with mockery. It was in that moment that my innocent grin turned sly as I thought of the perfect thing that could keep my boredom at bay.
His brows furrowed at my smile, “Quit looking at me like that, it’s weird.”
“What if the only person I knew to keep me safe was you?” My grin turned into a smirk.
“But it isn’t?” His answer came out more of a question as he tried to figure out my plan.
“But what if?” I leaned my weight onto his side, wrapping my arms around one of his, “Would you take advantage of my undying loyalty, Shuntarō?” I could see a blush coat his cheeks and I couldn’t help, but laugh, “Of course you would, you sneaky cat.”
He nudged me off him with a grunt. I leaned closer to make sure I was seeing this right… The Chishiya Shuntarō was in fact, blushing.
“Oh my stars.” I gasped in amusement as I pressed a hand to my heart, “Is that a blush I see, Chishi?”
I did it! I thought as excitement built up inside me. I made him blush!
“No.” He looked away from me.
“I think it is.” I poked his cheek, giggling as I sat back.
My giggling died down as I looked at him. He didn’t say anything, but he seemed flustered. Is it possible that he held some kind of feelings for me?
“Chishi.” I smiled when he looked at me, “You want some?” I held up my strawberry cake roll.
He eyed me and it suspiciously before he gave a simple nod. I opened the package, breaking off a piece for him to try. I shook my head as he reached for it as I brought it up to his lips. He opened his mouth slowly as he took a bite.
“So would that make you a self righteous prick?” I teased quietly as I fed the cake to him.
He rolled his eyes and he leaned back, taking time to chew and see if he liked the cake.
“Way too much strawberry.” He mumbled after he swallowed, but continued to eat the next piece I gave him.
He returned the gesture with his own bag of cookies as we munched on the others snacks.
“I am an asshole.” He spoke without hesitation, “I am not kind. I am manipulative and I do what I must to get ahead. I don’t care about anything so why are you always hanging around me?”
“You are those things, but I think you’re wrong about how you see yourself Chishiya. You are so much more than that. You are kind, to Kuina and to me. You are manipulative, but that just means how intelligent you are in understanding everything. You can solve the hardest puzzle on earth with just a glance. You say you don’t care, but deep down I know that you do. You have just built a wall that is worth climbing because you mean more than anything in the world to me.” I answered softly.
He wasn’t able to respond as the speaker dinged.
“I believe it’s almost time.” I sighed as I looked up at the clock.
My attention turned to Kotoko who grabbed a packet of cookies… The same brand that Matsushita grabbed a few minutes ago.
“Hm…” I hummed watching what would be a meaningless passerby between the two, “Maybe I do have more undying loyalty than Kotoko.”
“Seems so.” Chishiya smirked.
I turned in my seat, brushing my hair away from my collar.
“Heart.” He said and turned so that I could tell him his suit.
“Diamond.” I repeated the symbol I saw.
“Fits us well.” He muttered standing up to begin our journey to our cells.
“Aw does that mean I have your heart Chishi?” I stepped up to him teasingly.
“You have my headache.” He stated before walking into his cell.
I entered the one beside him with a warm feeling creeping in my chest. I think it’s the other way around, I think you have my heart Shuntarō.
“Heart.” I spoke my final answer as I waited to leave the cell.

— GUNS AND SPADES
chishiya x gn!reader | ? words
genre: established relationship, slight angst
warnings: s2 spoilers, shooting, guns, blood, death, mentions of fainting, kinda spoilers for chishiya’s past, aib stuff… badly written might edit later idk
synopsis: Surviving in the Borderlands was something you’d been forced to get used to. Getting shot at for absolutely no reason when no game was ongoing was something else entirely.
author’s note: thank you for requesting! hope you like it!! to be honest i struggle with writing about chishiya this way a bit so this isn’t nearly as good as i wanted it to be. also i have no idea where i was going with this. nevertheless i hope it’s nice to read!
Tumblr media
The sound of shots was clear. People scrambled around Shibuya Crossing, running for their lives without a care for one another’s. When faced with Death, people showed their true selves— Or whatever.
It would seem that, as per usual, your true self in this situation was to start running away before cursing at Chishiya and pulling him so he’d follow. Sure, he would start running eventually either way, but he certainly took his time.
“Chishiya, seriously.” you scoffed.
Thus the run began.
Arisu, Usagi, Kuina, you, and Chishiya were all lined up hiding behind an underground subway’s stairs entrance, crouching behind the wall and checking through the glass for the unknown shooter.
“Is this a game? Where are the rules?” Usagi exclaimed through panicked breaths. Arisu shook his head immediately.
“There’s nothing. This is just mass murder.”
“Seriously.” you mumbled, checking through the glass, “More people are coming this way. We should get moving.”
You all started running away in a group before realizing there was no point. Arisu yelled at everyone to split up and you all did. Running through a crowd of scared people, all confused and fearing for their lives— It was never a good feeling.
“Ah!”
Especially when some were too rushed in their run and tripped over, resulting in you falling along with them.
“I’m sorry!” the man yelled, scrambling to get up.
You laughed dryly, jumping up to your feet with ease. “You should be.” you breathed out, before ducking and running to the nearest corner. You turned and ran and avoided people and ran and it felt like hours of your breathing getting progressively worse and more heavy before you finally ran into a familiar face.
“[name]!” Kuina exclaimed, stopping in her tracks before you two could run into each other, “Come with me!”
She grabbed your wrist and ran to a car nearby, quickly pulling you to sit down behind it along with her. You exhaled a heavy sigh, your chest heaving up and down and your head spinning.
“You look tired.” a familiar voice spoke casually. You lifted your head up only to see Chishiya look at you with an easy smile, waving his hand from his seat on Kuina’s other side. You deadpanned.
“Yeah. And you don’t.” you scoffed, “Are you two okay?”
“I’m surprised I don’t have a single wound, honestly.” Kuina sighed, head hitting the car’s door in exhaustion, “Seriously, what the fuck is going on?“
You glanced at Chishiya and he gave you a slight nod, affirming that he was okay. You nodded back before looking over your shoulder. “There’s people on the other side of the road. Usagi and Arisu, I think.”
Kuina furrowed her eyebrows before moving her head to the side, signaling you to move over and switch places with her. You did, as discreetly as possible, and let her check whatever it is she wanted to. Chishiya waved two fingers in front of your face and brought your attention to him.
“You good?”
“Yeah.” you sighed, “Just tired. I knew things weren’t over but I expected a little break after the hell that went down at the Beach, at least.”
“The hell continues, I guess.” he said casually, smiling.
You could only sigh.
“You have to stay focused if you don’t wanna die!” Kuina suddenly yelled. You looked over to her and jumped at the sound of shooting right at the road the car you were hiding behind was parked on. Chishiya grabbed your shoulder to pull you back when he did, only relaxing when the shots stopped. Kuina scoffed, “Where the fuck are they shooting from?”
Just as she sat back down properly, an airship of sorts appeared over everyone, creating a looming shadow that did nothing to reassure the players. Chishiya hummed. “The King of Spades.”
“Great.” you commented. There were probably hundreds of pieces of fabric tied together to form a giant King of Spades card floating in the sky, attached to the bottom of the airship. You wondered just how much more of this hell you would have to go through before you could return to the comfort of the hell you knew. The normal world.
Chishiya leaned forward and handed Kuina something. It looked like a can and… Oh. You’d seen him make this back at the Beach one day. He’d made three. They were small bombs but they could definitely help out if you ever needed it. His words. He handed you one as well and you inspected it. “Here you go. A good luck charm.”
“What’s this? A bomb?” Kuina asked.
“Use it when you’re in a pinch.” he said casually.
“You have questionable hobbies, Chishiya.” you hummed, spinning the object in your hand before putting it in your jacket, “Thank you.”
“I second that. Thanks.” Kuina chuckled.
The sound of shots rung in the air as well as several running footsteps along with it. You checked Kuina’s side and saw Arisu and Usagi hide behind the car directly next to yours— Just a few meters away. Kuina tilted her head, “Are you hurt?”
“Did you seriously stop to try and save someone?” you followed after glancing at the dying boy they’d seemingly carried all the way there, and Arisu looked at you with wide eyes, before looking away and grimacing. Nothing new, you thought.
Shots fired again but the sound didn’t drown out the clear, loud honking of a car. You thought you’d imagined it, honestly, because logically speaking there was no reason for anyone to not only show themselves so obviously with a moving car but also announce themselves by honking.
Yet when the entire group looked over to the road there was, indeed, a car waiting. Ann and Tatta. Your eyes widened. “What?”
“Hurry up! Get in!” Tatta yelled.
Usagi and Arisu were the first to run into the car, closely followed by Kuina. Chishiya, irritating as he could get, refused to take his hands out of his pockets to run. You were a bit behind, careful, and caught up to him quickly. “What part of hurry up are you missing?!” you exclaimed.
Chishiya stopped and stared at the ground. You were about to question why he wasn’t going into the car despite standing right in front of it but followed his gaze.
A grenade.
“This is bad. Run!” he instantly yelled, pulling you back and moving to start running away, “Get going! Drive!” he told Tatta, knowing there was no point in risking getting into the car anymore.
“[name]!” Usagi yelled.
Kuina seemed just as worried, “Chishiya!”
The sound of their voices were quickly drowned out when your head hit the hard concrete of the sidewalk as you and Chishiya jumped as far away as possible from the bomb. The explosion went off before your senses could start coming back and just as the car started driving away. You covered the sides of your head with your arms and felt Chishiya’s arm wrap around them.
Everything was spinning. For a moment, you weren’t sure you were alive. Then Chishiya’s voice brushed that thought away.
“We have to move.” he tried to speak over all the noise. You nodded faintly and got up on your feet to the best of your ability, before running away with him— Bullets following you closely.
To Chishiya, this would’ve been fine if you hadn’t been there.
If he had been alone during that shooting, even including the part where he fails to get in the car because of a grenade— it would all have been fine because Chishiya Shuntaro is used to dealing with whatever hellish cards the Borderlands hand him. But that’s where the problem lies;
You’re there.
Chishiya met you before the cruelty of the reality of the world stripped him of his empathy— Forced him into the stoicism of a person suppressing their own emotions. He met you before his job ruined a part of him, and his feelings seemingly didn’t waver one bit at that. The importance of your wellbeing had been something he cared about before but even with attempts at erasing his emotions he couldn’t erase the quickening pace of his heartbeat if he heard you weren’t doing well.
Chishiya made the mistake of letting himself fall for someone back in college (though he claims fall is too ridiculous) and now has to deal with the pains of feeling like he needs to protect said person. You were good at dealing with things yourself, too— Sure, but that didn’t mean anything to the instinctive worry that held him by the throat.
So he watches you, unconscious due to the amount of things that happened in a few seconds, lying on the ground of some empty apartment complex— With something anyone could easily mistake as disdain. It used to be easy dealing with complicated things when he was alone. He was also sure playing games would be so much more simple if you weren’t by his side. All he would have to care for would be his own survival and that would just be it. Now he had to fear Heart games and count you into every calculations he made to get himself out of a deadly game of chess.
It was almost infuriating how much you unconsciously forced him into changing his ways, even after all these years. He figured that was just how things went when you loved someone.
When you shift in your sleep and start sighing, eyes slowly blinking to force yourself awake, Chishiya doesn’t feel the smile form on his lips. “You’re lucky we found this place before you decided to pass out.”
“My God.” you grumbled, sitting up with some effort. “Have you just been sitting there? I’m surprised. Were you watching over me, or something?”
Even in situations like this, you just didn’t miss an opportunity to try and tease him. It’s not like it ever worked, but the attempts were amusing.“You weren’t out for that long.” he spoke as calmly as usual, “Sleep fine?”
“I dreamt of fireworks at Shibuya.” you said, and your voice dropped to a silent low. The shift from casual to slight anxiousness was barely noticeable, but very obvious to Chishiya. You cracked your neck and stretched. “Guess my head decided to make people yelling and loud sounds seem more happy than how it really was.”
“At least your mind’s version of the events that just transpired is less disturbing and nightmarish. Glad to know you slept well.” he said, pushing himself up to stand. “We should check the game nearby. I don’t like the idea of us standing there waiting.”
“Less chances of getting shot by that Kind of Spades, I guess.” you sighed, following him to stand up, “Just as many to get killed, though.”
Chishiya held his hand up and you looked at it, then at him, and a small smile pulled at your lips. You high-fived him and then you both wrapped your fingers around the other’s hand.
“Not if I’m there.” he claims, smirking a little. You scoff lightly and Chishiya knows you feel slightly better. It’s enough for now. The feelings of anxiety are pushed back far away enough for you to focus during games. Enough for you to play properly and keep yourself alive. Chishiya nodded a bit, “Let’s get going.”
“Alright.” you tightened your hold on his hand and you both walked towards the game near where you were staying at— Steeling yourselves for whatever the Borderlands had prepared for you.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ RORONOA ZORO AS A FATHER…
zoro would be one those fathers that most people assume would be terrible, but unsurprisingly, he’s very good with kids, as told canonically.
he’ll only have one daughter. he can’t handle anymore brats.
when your daughter was born, he’d bought up possibly naming her after his late childhood best friend. you knew how much she meant to him, so it was no problem making sure your daughter carried on her name, and hopefully her future dream. roronoa kuina.
lots of people assume zoro’s a strict dad, but most days, he’s pretty chilled back.
he came off as not having any interest in learning how to do kuina’s type 3-4 hair, but when you secretly caught him watching a youtube video as he practiced on one of your wig mannequins you knew he wanted to learn from the start
when kuina’s a toddler, you teach him how to do simple styles on her hair. to detangle from the bottom, always make sure her hair was moisturized, and just learn the small things about her. like how she was tenderheaded—something she inevitably inherited from you.
he’ll take her to get braids from the african aunties whenever you’re busy or stuck at work. kuina, already knowing the routine would sit on the chair and zoro’s big body would be squeezed between two parents talking on the phone for nearly nine hours straight, occasionally heading out to grab some food for himself and kuina. the things he would do for that girl.
kuina would be in the big chair swinging her little feet as she watched youtube video’s on her daddy’s phone. she’d always smile at the fact that you were his lock screen and she was his home screen—a picture of him coddling with her to sleep when she was just a baby. lord knows how much them two love they sleep!
he’d be so overprotective, he would teach kuina her parents’ full name, address, emergency phone numbers, and everything in between by the time she’s 6. no stranger would ever had a chance to mess with the daughter of roronoa zoro.
despite his off putting (and quite rude) personality, he’d be the best one to give advice. only to you and his little kuina though. most wouldnt even consider it advice, but baby kuina always loved it when her daddy told her what he thinks she should do in a troubling situation.
“papa what do you think i should do?” the little girl frowns. “i really think i hurt the girl’s feelings. but i didn’t mean to!”
zoro pops his one good eye open from its closed resting position as he sat on the couch with his arms folded. “are you sorry?”
kuina gives him solemn eyes and nods her head. “really sorry.”
with a quick whit, zoro answers straight, “apologize. don’t make the situation about you. she’s the one you hurt, make sure she realizes that you know that.”
kuina allows her father’s words to sink in her brain in order to fully process everything he’d said. when a bright idea comes to her head, she wraps her arms around her father and places a wet kiss on his cheek, yelling, “thank you papa!” before skipping off to make amends with her friend.
would sueprise teachers and parents when he shows up to some PTA’s alone. you were caught up at work, so zoro took up parental volunteering opportunities on his own. of course, he only did these things for you and kuina, so he didn’t care that the single parents were eye goggling him with lust. not when kuina bragged to all her friends about how cool her dad was.
zoro tries to create an emotion-based home. he doesn’t want kuina growing up in a cold home like you and him did, so he always made it his best to publicly express his emotions or whatever he was feeling at home. he made sure kuina saw him love on you in order to see and know that her parents always loved each other—not just for show—and made sure that she knew it was okay to express her own emotions because she was a lot like him, more than he’d have liked.
when he catches kuina stiffile in her cry about him having to miss a chunk of her school play due to a very heinous and reaosnable excuse (traffic was a bitch), he pulls her off to the side and allows her space to express how she feels.
“you can cry. it’s okay to cry, marimo.” zoro kneels down to kuina’s height as she hangs her head low, too embarrassed to look up and reveal her tears. the one bond they had, was him calling her marimo because if you looked at the both of them—they were damn near identical twins. you were convinced your genes didn’t even fucking try to make it to the egg on time. only he could call her that though. that was their thing.
zoro gives her a genuine apology. he hated seeing his pretty princess cry, but he knew she had to do it. “i’m sorry. i got here as quick as i could, hm? i’d never miss anything about you on purpose.”
at the sound of her father’s soft voice, kuina looks up and wipes away some of her tears. “you promise papa?” her voice is sultry as you wipe at your back, heart warming at the beautiful wholesome interaction between the two.
behind zoro’s back were a mini bouquet of flowers and candy. “course i do kid. c’mere, i’m gonna make it up to you.”
lord knows zoro wasn’t the best father. he didn’t even think he was a good father—this was all new to him. but sometimes, he’d liked to believe that what he was doing in the present was enough to give kuina the future he never got to have.

Late
you arrive back at the beach later than expected after a game. chishiya can’t help but to assume that you’re dead
yandere! chishiya shuntaro x reader
warnings: mentions of supposed death, manipulation, aggressive behaviors from chishiya, references to sexual activities but nothing happens, mentions of drugging but once again nothing happens
Tumblr media
The blonde feels his patience running thin and his heart getting heavier. Every minute that passes by without you showing up only worsens his anxiety.
He has no right to be irritated. He knows that, but he can't help himself.
You had left to play a game earlier tonight, and still hadn't returned. The players that had come back to The Beach have already filtered through, and the only ones left in the hallway were Chishiya and Kuina.
"Chishiya, don't you think we should head back? It's getting pretty late—" Kuina was cut off by the bitter male.
"I didn't ask you to stick around. Go back if you want but I'm staying here." He snapped back, turning away from her.
Kuina knew that the blonde had a soft spot for you, loved you even. But she'd never seen him react this way before. Even Niragi had never managed to get him this worked up. He was practically bristling.
"She's intelligent and strong. I'm sure her car is just running late." Kuina said quietly, taking a hesitant step towards Chishiya.
The male didn't respond, choosing to ignore Kuina.
Kuina didn't know what to say. Chishiya usually kept his infatuation for you under wraps, but the way he was acting was worrying her. She feared what would happen if you did return tonight. Chishiya had already used his executive powers to move your bedroom next to his so that he could keep an eye on you.
"How about I stay and wait for her to come back? You need to get some rest." Against her better judgement, she stepped forward and placed a hand on Chishiya's shoulder.
Kuina flinched when the blonde turned around and shoved her hand off of him, an annoyed sneer on his face. "Don't touch me." He practically hissed at her. "Go back to your room, Kuina, and leave me alone for the night."
She swallowed thickly before lowering her hand, turning around, and heading back into the hotel.
A few more minutes passed, and Chishiya began to feel a soreness in the back of his throat. He was beginning to get choked up.
He shouldn’t be reacting this way. You weren’t a couple, but Chishiya was so infatuated by you. He couldn’t bare the thought of anything happening to you.
The sound of an engine coming closer pulled him from his thoughts. Hope blossomed in his chest as he saw headlights coming up the hotel driveway.
His eyes were glued to the car as the players pooled out, grumbling about a 'late game'. The last player to exit the car was you.
Relief flooded his system, but so did anger. How dare you scare him like that?
"Y/N." His cold voice called out, catching the attention of the tired girl. He noticed you had a cut on your cheek, and a deeper cut on your arm.
"Hey, Chishiya." You breathed out, clearly exhausted. "Late game tonight—"
"I don't care." He cut you off, his feline eyes narrowing into slits. Your eyes widened at his tone and blunt statement, and immediately noticed that he was angry.
"What's wrong—?"
"My room. Now." He said firmly, before turning around and beginning to walk inside. You were confused, but followed nonetheless. You were neighbors, after all, so there wasn’t anywhere you really could go.
You trailed silently after the fuming blonde, wondering what could have possibly set him off like this. He was usually so calm and collected that it was concerning to see him act this way.
"Chishiya, what happened? Did—" He cut you off once more by practically ripping his door off the hinges.
"Get inside." He ordered through grit teeth. You stared at him for a few moments, trying to get a read on him, before deciding it was pointless and hesitantly trailing inside. You heard the door slam behind him as he entered after you.
The two of you stood in silence. Chishiya had his hands in his pockets and you had your arms crossed.
"What the hell was that, Y/N?" Chishiya finally said, his eyebrow twitching.
You furrowed your eyebrows. "What are you talking about?"
"You know damn well what I'm talking about." Chishiya said lowly, stepping closer to you. "Coming back from your game late and nearly giving me a heart attack? I stood outside for almost an hour, waiting for you to return."
You scoffed, feeling a twinge of annoyance that he had the audacity to be mad at you. "I can't help that my game ran longer than it was supposed to. I didn't strike you as the type to care, anyway. Since when have you concerned yourself with other people's deaths?"
Chishiya was practically chest-to-chest with you at this point. While he was a generally shorter male, he still had a height advantage over you by a few inches.
He didn't answer you for a few moments, only glaring down at you.
"You reserve no right to be mad at me." You said, quiet enough for him to hear. "You'd sacrifice me if you had the chance just to save your own ass."
You shoved him away from you, going to leave his room. However, Chishiya caught your wrist and pulled you back towards him, wrapping his arms around you.
"You're wrong." Chishiya muttered, pushing your back into the wall where he now had you pressed against. "We're meant to be, Y/N. I can't help that I care about you."
"'Meant to be'?" She almost scoffed. "Ever since I've known you I got the vibe that you hated me, and now you're spouting this bullshit? Get a grip, Chishiya. You're manipulating me." You tried pushing him away again, but he only pressed you back into the wall.
"I'm not. You're mine, and I'll be damned if I let the games or anyone else take you from me." His breath was hot against your face. You had never seen Chishiya this riled up.
You didn't know what to say. You avoided his fiery gaze for a couple moments, before he sighed and pressed his forehead against yours.
"Allow me to bandage you up." He uttered after a few seconds, pulling away from you and tugging you towards his bed. "Sit."
You obeyed his simple command as Chishiya entered his bathroom. You could hear some cabinets opening and closing, items being shuffled around before he returned with a first aid kit and some napkins.
"Since when do you know how to tend wounds?" You raised an eyebrow, an attempt at trying to lighten the mood.
He glanced up at you, an unimpressed look on his face. "I'm a doctor." His statement was cold and blunt. You practically felt relief that he was finally back to acting how he usually does, rather than the side of Chishiya you saw moments prior.
The next few minutes passed in silence. Chishiya bandaged your arm and face up and cleaned up any blood, and you just watched him.
Your eyes trailed his figure as he got up to put the first aid kit back into the restroom. When he came back, you stood up. "Thanks for the help, doc. I think I'm gonna head back to my room for the night."
When you made a move for the door, Chishiya intercepted you, standing in front of the doorway.
You sighed, fed up with him tonight. "What has gotten into you tonight, Chishiya? Sure, my car was late, but—"
"Stay with me tonight." He stated, not breaking eye contact with you. "Don't worry, we won't do anything if you're worried about that. My bed has more than enough space for us both."
You would stay with him regardless. He could only hope that you’d stay willingly, so that he wouldn't have to use force on you.
"Please." He added after a few moments, for good measure.
There's a small, sadistic glint in his eyes that makes you uneasy. His behavior tonight was making you on edge.
Finally, you sighed once more and crossed your arms. "Will it make you feel better?"
"Definitely." There was no hesitation with his response.
"Alright then. I'll stay for tonight." You accepted, ignoring the voice in the back of your head saying that this was not a good idea at all.
"Glad to hear it. I wouldn't have wanted things to get nasty." Chishiya gave you his signature sly smirk. "Go ahead and get comfortable."
You made your way over to his bed silently as he heads off towards the bathroom. You were pushing your nerves down, convincing yourself that everything was going to be okay.
While he was gone, you contemplated rushing out the door. However, you knew that if Chishiya really wanted you to stay tonight, he’d either drag you back or just stay in your room.
You had barely made it under the blankets by the time Chishiya emerged from the restroom, a faint minty air surrounding him now. He got on the bed from the other side, slipping under his blankets.
You let out a squeak as Chishiya's surprisingly strong arms wrapped around you, effectively pressing you against him as he snuggled farther under the blankets. One of his hands gently rubs against your back, the other brushing against your hair.
"Chishiya..?" You whispered, a little nervous at the sudden contact.
"What? Not a big cuddler?" You could hear the teasing tone in his voice.
"It's not that. I just didn't expect you to be a big cuddler." You replied, cautiously wrapping your arms around his waist. If you could see his face, you would have seen the way his face reddened at your acceptance.
He actually smelled really nice, like fresh rain and peppermint. This might not be so bad.
Your head snuggled deeper into his embrace, much to his enjoyment. Very soon, you began to fall asleep in his arms, surprisingly relaxed.
A few moments of comfortable silence passed. Chishiya felt the way your breathing slowed, how your grip loosened ever so slightly on his waist.
He hummed, watching your chest rise up and down rhythmically. "Y/N?" You don’t respond, confirming that you were already fast asleep.
A cruel smile that he had been suppressing all night makes it's way across his face.
Finally, he got the chance to fall asleep with you. And even better, cuddle. He hadn't meant to scare you when he got mad, but he couldn't help it. If he lost you, he didn't know what he'd do, or if he could even handle it.
It's okay. It all worked out well in the end.
Chishiya smirks at your still-tight cling to his waist.
Maybe too well.
He's glad that you agreed without too much of a struggle. He sighed and pressed a ghost of a kiss to your cheek.
Of course, on any other night he could have dragged you from your room and forced you to fall asleep with him, but imagining you thrashing around and trying to get away from him left a bad taste in his mouth.
If you had walked out of his room tonight, he would have had to drug you or hurt you to get what he wanted.
He prefers this scenario much, much more, with you as a conscious and willing participant.
Maybe you two would have to do this again.

Had a fun idea at work the other day. What if Sanji is in Shells town with Zoro becase they are a married couple.
Sanji and Zeff are saved from The Rock by someone fishermen from Shimotsuki Village. They kindly take the pair back to the village to recover. While thire Sanji and Zoro become friends. They stay in contact therw the years and even after Zoro leave the village to start looking for Mihawk. Eventually, they get married on the Baratie and Sanji joins him. They haven't been married long when they end up in shells town.
While Zoro is tied up Sanji works for Rikas mom and sneaks a bit of food to zoro every night. He would give him more but if Zoros to well fed it would be obvious. Sanji doesn't tell anyone he is doing this so Rika still goes to feed Zoro like in cannon.
Sanji goes for a moring swim when ever he can and that's how he Mets Luffy and Koby and they get to talking about Zoro. Luffy finds out he's a cook and wants to invite him to join but Sanji declines not wanting to leave his husband. Luffy offers to free his husband since he was looking for him anyway.
Luffy gets Zoro free like in cannon except Sanji kicks Helmepos ass for wasting food and hurting his husband.
Zoro is the one who purposed to Sanji with one of his earrings when they were 18. He even asked Zeff first for premison, knowing how much Zeff cares about his eggplant. Zoro is the only one who knows all of Sanjis past. Just like Sanji knows all about Kuina and Zoros' dead parents.
They are childhood friends, they would see eatch other when ever possible. And when Zoro left to find Mihawk he would stop by to visit by himself.
They still fight and biker alot (its thire love language) but they care very deeply for eatch other.
Before Sanji left to join Zoro before they got married, Zeff insisted on starting to train Sanji and Zoro in Haki, knowing that they would end up in the grandline. So they know the basics in Observation and Armament.
They got married on the Baratie invited John and Yosaku along with Zoro dojo master Koushirou. They left a chair empty for Kuina.

when they make you laugh | aib
How they react when they make you laugh for the first time since arriving in Borderland.
Chishiya, Ann, Kuina and Niragi.
i really really love writing for aib, and i really really want to marry ann. warnings: this is mostly fluff but jealousy and threats are included (would it even be niragi if this wasn’t the case?) requested by: anon (thank you!) written by: archie support me on ko-fi!
Chishiya
Tumblr media
Chishiya would be puzzled. Hearing your laugh ring through the Beach’s hallway from beside him when hardly much had happened-- What suddenly brought that out of you? You, who hadn’t so much as smirked once since arriving in the Borderlands?
He wouldn’t stop walking until you’d finally keeled over, resting against the wall in your laughter, and he’d simply stand there and watch you, tempted to give into the smirk that pulls at the corner of his lips. Ah yes, that laugh is contagious, but it’d only properly catch on when he realises it’s his own words that brought it out of you.
Gasping words out through your bursts of laughter, not paying half a mind to the bikini-clad girls that spared you judgemental glances as you try to communicate what exactly of Chishiya’s words tickled you so-- But it’d barely come out clear enough to make sense.
But it wouldn’t matter. He’d finally give into the tickle inside his own chest, the softest laugh of humour bubbling out as he stands there, hands in his pockets and tender eyes on your giggling form. It’s the first time since arriving that he’s seen you like this, and what a sight to behold.
Ann
Tumblr media
Ann isn’t phased by much, but your sudden laughter gracing her ears would startle her. She’d jump, hair swishing out of that perfect positioning when she turns to look at you. She’d think there’s something wrong at first, scan the area to see what might’ve possibly brought you to this, wonder if perhaps Borderland has finally taken its toll on you. She’s heard plenty of stories of psychosis manifesting in laughter from her work life, but this… Doesn’t seem to be the case.
She’d ask what was up, ask if you’re feeling okay, hold your face still to feel your forehead for a temperature. This, however, would only bring out more bubbling laughter as you tuck her hair behind her ear again, back where it belongs.
“You’re so funny, Ann,” you’d say, “And you don’t even realise.”
She’d blink. No, she’s never been considered the funny type.
It’s not until you describe to her that it’s purely because she’s so serious, so endearing, that you couldn’t help yourself. Perhaps things really were catching up to you, and you finally let up on all the pressures from the games. Hell, you were gonna die anyway. Why not share laughter when your love is this morbidly endearing in her antics?
Kuina
Tumblr media
Kuina would have missed your laughter. She’d struggle with your newly introverted self, noticing how all the games have worn you down in the weeks of being here, and it’s not until one time that you get a little bit too drunk a little bit too quickly in the Beach’s nightclub that you’d finally be able to spill your sense of humour all over her again.
It would be the silliest of things; Kuina’s reaction to a guy hitting on her or an animated fall on the dancefloor that you’d just so happened to witness, but it would shock your body with waves and waves of giggles.
Kuina’s reaction would be instant. Her face would light up, teeth showing and eyes shining as she drank in the sight of you losing control of your body, weak at the knees and relying on Kuina’s arm around your middle to keep you up. Soon, the pair of you would be creasing with tears in your eyes, and she’s definitely the type that lightly hits whoever happens to be in her reach as she cackles. Afterwards, the air around you would be drastically lighter. She’d be thrilled to have you back.
Niragi
Tumblr media
Niragi would be suspicious of your laughter. He’d stare at you with a brow and corner of his lips raised, practically with a question mark over his head as he eyes you. He’d demand to know what’s so funny, what’s suddenly happened to you-- but on hearing that he’d just said something in such a way that struck you funny, he’d guffaw in dismissal. Though, hidden inside, his chest would swell with pride and a curl would remain on his lips for a long while after, throwing out certain remarks to try and catch you in a giggle fit once more. Every time it works, a strange glow of acceptance would find a home in his chest.
If, god forbid, anyone else had been the first to make you laugh, he’d want their head on a plate. And you know he’d have it, too, unless it were Chishiya. Perhaps Chishiya’s eyeroll to something Niragi had said would set you off, or even worse, something he’d said-- Niragi would lose his shit. He’d yell at you once the moment had passed, having let it brew for moments before. How dare you humiliate him? Unite with Chishiya against him? Of course, that wouldn’t be even a sliver of truth, and you’d have to talk him down from hunting Chishiya in the Beach’s halls.
You’d manage a soft laugh for him, holding his face to keep his attention and stop his spiralling. “Niragi,” you’d shine a smile, knowing exactly how to calm him. “He’s pitiful, and I’m yours.”

You laughed along to a conversation with some guy that came up to you at the pool.
Your first impressions of him, was that he was sweet and pretty funny. He had humor to him, and constantly complimented your appearance.
He made you feel seen. You felt like someone saw you for you, and nothing else to bias his opinion on. You felt like a new person, as if he was chance to start over with every other guy you've been with.
Chishiya couldn't help but stare; to study your body language and notice the way you flirted with each other. He'd be lying if he said his blood wasn't boiling. But, he knew he had to keep his calm expression.
Chishiya tried to walk away, but he was afraid once he did, he'd lean in closer and touch you where he was supposed to.
"Maybe we can go to my room... Get more privacy, yeah?" The guy suggested, looking you up and down with a smile.
"I like the sound of that." You smiled back, biting your bottom lip as you became conscious of just how the water of the pool dripped down his skin.
You followed him out of the pool, walking closely behind him as he headed towards the entrance of the Beach.
"y/n," A voice stopped you from walking inside, turning your head to meet Kuina.
"Oh, hi." You waved, smiling at her.
She smiled back, eyeing the man behind you before aiming her eyes back at yours. "You're leaving already?" She asked, her brows withering to show she was pretty bummed out.
"Yeah, i--" Your words were cut short to Kuina grabbing your wrist.
"Don't go yet! Niragi said he'd scare everyone out of the pool for us! ...As long as he gets to join us." Kuina winced at her last words, clearly disgusted as much as the next person.
"Oh, but I was--" You tried to explain once again, but Kuina cut you off once more to explain something you didn't quite listen to.
You turned around to try and find the guy you had met earlier, but you couldn't see him anymore.
When you turned back, Kuina was now talking to Chishiya, but Chishiya was only looking at you.
"Looking for something?" He raised a brow, cutting off Kuina mid sentence. Which felt a bit like karma.
"No," You shook your head, now avoiding eye contact as you shivered under the night's gaze.
"She's probably looking for that guy from earlier, bad vibes to be honest." Kuina shrugged.
"It doesn't matter now. He's gone, and I don't even know his name." You rolled your eyes.
"Ouch, already forgot his name?" Chishiya joked.
"No, he just never told me." When you said it out loud, you realized just how weird that was. You talked for a while, and not once did you exchange names. And the fact he was inviting you to his room, despite not knowing it, said a lot.
"Whatever, I'm going to sleep. Have fun." You forced a smile, grabbing a random towel that was folded neatly on a chair to wrap around your body.
As soon as you walked back into the resort, Chishiya's eyes went to Kuina, "Thanks." He nodded.
Kuina rolled her eyes, "You seriously owe me. She deserves to get laid." She put her hands on her hips, emphasizing her serious tone.
"I'm not having this conversation with you." He crossed his arms.
"Someone has to. If you're not going to make a move on a girl don't make someone drag her away from a good night." Kuina spat, now walking away from Chishiya; making him stand in silence and think about what she said.
Which he did. He stood still, his eyes tracing the window that belonged to your room as he let his mind wander to all the other possibilities. Maybe you would've went with the guy, but in the morning he'd be gone. Maybe Chishiya should've intervened, pull you in and get you to go to his room instead. But Chishiya knew every outcome; the guy wouldn't be there no matter what anyone did. It's just a matter of how.
"I could've had him killed instead." Chishiya muttered to himself, shrugging off the thought as it left his lips in a mere whisper.
He didn't mean, that he, himself, would kill him. He'd merely just sabotage him, or frame him. Maybe get him killed for being a traitor.
As long as he's not the one holding the knife, he'd argue.

Family in hell | Dad!Chishiya x Mom!Reader + Platonic!Son
Warnings: AU - Dad!Chishiya - Mom!Reader - Mentions of pregnancy - Canon typical violence - MDI - +18
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chishiya would blame god if he ever believed in one to start with. He really saw no reason for his family to be in a place like this.
He on other hand...well he knew he was not perfect and had lots of problems when it came down to emotions and being social with others, not caring for the rest was his way of living.
"Dad?"
Till his son came to the world.
Truly, he was an accident. Chishiya never planned to get you pregnant and your relationship had started as only a sexual one. But later he found himself falling harder for you.
And since he sucked at showing feelings his way was to have even more sex with you. So maybe that did the trick and ended with you pregnant of him.
In that moment he was happy, for the first time in years he was so happy to have a family, even if it came at some of the worse times possible with him still in college.
Oh, If only he had know these were not going to be the worse times.
This place, whatever it was, this was the worse.
It was hell.
Chishiya had decided he would use anyone and everything to keep both of you safe.
"Sasaki, he is sleeping love, the day was long, why dont we go get him some food?" You gentle voice could be hear in the dak room.
It had been a hard day indeed. Chishiya almost lost his son because of a stupid player and then you got a nasty burn protecting him.
He had took you back to the beach and making sure your wound was not severe. He had to calm his crying son, Sasaki was young and intelligent but he was still a kid who loved his parents, crying was not something he would not do.
Completly different from Chishiya.
When the hard truth of this place has hit him, Chishiya explained to his young kid how the "games" needed to be winned no matter what.
"But cant we all win?"
These were his words at first, he had got your kind nature.
"Not here. Do you remember Hajime?" His kid nodded at the mention of his school bully "He was always mean right? And wanted to win everytime, well now I need you to do the same"
"You only have to do this for a short time, your dad and I will be taking care of the rest" You added ruffling his hair.
The memory faded away as he hear the door Open and only one pair of steps.
"Where is he?" Chishiya asked turning around to see you with some fruits.
"He is fine and safe, Kuina took him to the small pool and she will make sure no one comes close to him"
Chishiya nodded, taking the appel you had brought back.
"We need to leave this place, I dont trust it will support itself much longer"
"Chishiya, Hatter knows what he is doing" You said taking a seat besides him.
"Does he? Do I need to remind you we had to specially ask that he would let the three of us go together? He is giving this people fake hope, and thats dangerous"
His words were true, part of you did not want to believe it. The beach was a safe heaven at first, having a bed to come after the games, food...but it was too good to be true. The place has its dark side and you knew they could use your son to get Chishiya.
"I know, but we need to be carefull. You need to tell me your plan"
"No. You and Sasaki Will have to act as if you two never had any type of information. If someone goes down it wont you or him, and trust me it wont be me either" Chishiya assured you kissing the top of your head. "Today I almost lost him and you, I wont let that happen again, I promise"
The door opened again a nervous Kuina appearing and your son running into the room with the biggest smile.
"Mom! Dad! Look" Sasaki said pointing at one animal made by balloons "A guy made me this!! And he asked if you two would go to the bar but I dont know what that is, oh!! And then I-"
"Sorry" Kuina whispers to you "the guy was Tatta, he is good. But I tought it would be better if he is with his parents"
"Thank you Kuina" you responded smiling then looking at how Chishiya was nodding as your kid told him about this animal and its name. It was the most sincere smile he has ever made.
"I will go now, if you two want some...alone time let me know, I love taking care of him" Kuina said giving you a wink then leaving.
"Dad, will we go back to the Real world?" Sasaki asked making Chishiya freez.
"I dont know Son, but what I do know its that your mom and you are the most important things to me and nothing Will change it"
"And I love you and mom too!! I Will fight for you Dad, mom will be safe"
You had to turn your face to not let him see your tears. He was so inoccent and sweet, truly not made for here.
Chishiya pulled you and your kid for a family hug, with how things had been and how things could get he had learn this was the best moment he could have.
And he swears, more times like this one will come. Because no one matters besides his family.

˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ QUEENDOM aib characters finding out that their s/o is the queen of hearts and game master (headcannons!)
note: thank you sm for requesting i absolutely love this idea, i really couldn’t wait to write it ( i apologise if something is incorrect, i haven’t had the chance yet to peacefully watch season two but i really wanted to write this )
hikari kuina —
- when the witch hunt ended she was worried about you because she couldn’t find you anywhere but chishiya assured her by telling her that you probably had already left with arisu and usagi
- chishiya then led her to one of the control rooms where they reunited with arisu and usagi
- kuina immediately asked them whether they knew where you were but when they said they didn’t her worry increased
- but she promised herself she would go find you as soon as she was done with this
- the room full of computers left her slightly speechless and she really didn’t know what to think as chishiya and arisu spoke
- as the four of them discussed who could possibly be the game maker, all the computers lit up
- kuina’s held her breath as the game master spoke but when your face clearly appeared on the screens she couldn’t deny it anymore
- her eyes widened and her mouth fell open as your name slipped out of it
- she couldn’t comprehend how you were the one to create this hell not after all the intimate moments you shared
- chishiya had warned her about you, she should have listened but she couldn’t when you were so sweet and loving
- while chishiya had absolutely no idea that you could possibly be the game master he knew to be wary of you because of your specialty in heart games
- kuina quietly watched you laugh while explaining that there would be more games, her heart clenching at the thought that you perhaps never even loved her
- in that moment she truly wished to see an alien instead of you or anyone else for that matter just not you
- when arisu remembered that you and kuina were dating he questioned her whether you had told her anything that could be useful but her response was quite defensive because she was very upset
- she’ll try to forget about you and remind herself that you have to be beaten so she could go home to her sick mother
- she couldn’t help but miss you
- when she saw the fireworks go off, indicating that arisu and usagi had beaten you she felt her eyes watering as she quietly mourned you despite everything you did
- she realised that there was a small part of you that truly loved her
morizono aguni —
- this man is thinking about you 24/7
- he can’t find you anywhere nor anyone who might know where you are
- akane wasn’t much help when he attempted to describe you she only gave him a weirded out look
- so when he found arisu he was ecstatic
- he sat by the river preparing himself for any answer that arisu might give him
- except for the one where you’re the game master
- his movements stop and he feels like he’s about to throw up
- he doesn’t actually listens to what else arisu is saying
- aguni would feel very betrayed and angry, he’s sure that if you were in front of him he’d kill you
- but with time he slightly calms down but he refuses to talk about you to anyone
- he’d question everything you said and did
- tbh he wouldn’t even be surprised anymore if everything you said were lies
- he does wonder though why you became a game master and he’s slightly disappointed in himself that he never even suspected you
- don’t expect him to forgive you for everything you did, he won’t
- but he knows that he still loves you even though you ruined his life
rizuna ann —
- ann had noticed you leaving during the witch hunt but she didn’t think much of it, assuming that you were looking for a place to hide
- but when the game ended and you weren’t anywhere to be found, her concerns grew
- tatta eventually noticed the frown adorning her face and tried to reassure her by telling her that perhaps you went with kuina and chishiya
- while ann knew that was highly unlikely, she kept repeating it in her head so she wouldn’t just stand there
- a day passed and you still hadn’t returned so ann and tatta decided to drive around the city while the other citizens of the beach immigrated to the center of tokyo
- but her search for you had to wait as a new game started
- ann and tatta noticed arisu, usagi, kuina and chishiya hiding while attempting to run away and quickly stopped to pick them up
- she quietly listened to them discuss about the king of spades but quickly straightened up when usagi asked if you were even human
- ann turned around slightly and pretended to ignore the pitying look that kuina gave her as she asked them what you had to do with it
- the color drained from her face and her eyes were wide as arisu told her that you were the game master
- she quickly turned back into her seat while blinking rapidly to stop the tears from forming
- fortunately the king of spades managed to distract her for a while so she wouldn’t think about you
- ann took it pretty hard but pretended like nothing happened and denied feeling hurt by it
- it was only when she was laying beside kuina, taking her last breaths that she let a tear escape
- the last thing she saw were fireworks, her last thought being how you would be together in another life one where nothing would come in between the two of you
ryohei arisu —
- as soon as he realised that you weren’t beside him he started searching for you
- both he and usagi looked everywhere for you but when they were unable to find you, they went to look for the control room with heavy hearts
- the two were left dumbfounded when they saw the hundreds perhaps thousands of screens with bodies littered all across the room
- shortly after chishiya and kuina arrived at the scene before the screens lit up while a cheerful song played
- his heart stopped the moment he realised it was you on the screen
- his emotions were eating him up and his heart was clenching so heart he thought he was about to collapse
- his hands were shaking and he barely managed to keep himself from falling as he watched you smiling joyfully at him
- he barely comprehended what was happening around him as you announced the new games
- he wondered how you could do something like that to him after everything you went through together, after all the things you said to one another
- but he realised that he couldn’t try to justify your actions nor forgive you because he couldn’t betray karube and chota like that
- so he played the games with a broken heart beyond repair
- when he and usagi entered the last game venue he felt his eyes watering
- there you stood with a wide smile as you welcomed them as the queen of hearts
- as the game went on he realised that you truly had no idea what love was despite him having declared his love to you multiple times and shown you affection
- when you revealed that you made the seven hearts game specifically for him and his dead friends he was ready to shoot you
- but to escape the borderlands he had to win and he can’t win if you’re not alive
- he could feel usagi’s concerned glances as you continued manipulating them, making them question everything they knew
- but at the end when you gracefully died with a smile on your face, one that would haunt him for the rest of his life, he knew that you had grown to love him in your own twisted sick way
shuntaro chishiya —
- chishiya had quickly noticed that you were gone but despite his concern he left to find the control room
- he knew that you could handle being on your own for a few hours so he thoughts he could quickly get over with it before he and kuina would search the city for you
- but as you appeared on the countless amount of screens with open arms and a wide smile he realised that he probably would never see you again
- he couldn’t stop the way his face fell at the realisation that you had manipulated him
- chishiya knew he should have listened to his gut feeling but it was too late now
- he cared too much about you, much more than he normally would
- he felt like cursing you and shoving you off a building but he couldn’t ignore the stinging pain in his heart
- when kuina turned to him with wide concerned eyes he played it off by saying that he should have expected it from someone like you
- and during the whole time that he played games you wouldn’t leave his thoughts
- he wondered whether you made the collar that he was wearing or perhaps you just made the design
- the overthinking wouldn’t stop and he hated himself for ever loving you
- but as he was laying against a car with a bullet in his chest, he replayed all the moments he shared with you
- the final and last blow came when the fireworks went off and he got given an option of staying or leaving
- his heart shattered at the realisation that you were dead
- he looked at the exploding queen of hearts cards and wondered if you ever meant what you said to him, and as much as he hated it he knew that he had meant every word he said to you
suguru niragi —
- tbh he had better things to worry about during the ten hearts game so he only thought about you when everything had calmed down
- he was sitting on the ground while wrapping some bandages around his burned body when he wondered what you were doing
- when he found the king of clubs game he was actually looking for you and was slightly annoyed to see you weren’t there
- but he saw arisu and his friends so he wanted to ask them
- unfortunately he was too slow and the game had already started so he decided to ask after the game
- after kuina and arisu gave him a high-five he questioned them about your whereabouts
- he rolled his eyes as they all nervously glanced at each other before they told him that you were the game master
- he was not expecting that shit
- at first he’d think that they all went crazy but as he thought about it, it did make sense
- he would feel furious at first then he’d calm down
- niragi would wonder who of you was crazier: you, a sadistic liar or him, an abusive, psychotic narcissist
- it didn’t take long for him to conclude that you were ‘definitely crazier’ than him
- even though he found out that you were the game master, niragi would still run around looking for you
- after he shot chishiya and was dying on the floor not too far from the blonde, he would think about you
- now he was a 100% sure that you manipulated him into thinking that he loved you bc he’s sure that he’ll never love someone
- suddenly the large sign of the queen of hearts exploded and his heart dropped as he realised that you died
- fireworks went off indicating that they had won and could leave but tears were falling from his eyes as he kept his gaze steady on the rooftop where you had died
yuzuha usagi —
- usagi was breathing heavily as she watched the beach burn until she thought about the last time she saw you
- it had been in the beginning of the game and you promised her to hide while she went to help arisu
- but as she looked around she realised you weren’t there
- arisu managed to convince her to go to the control room with him after promising to help her looking for you after
- but the after never came when they found out that you were the game master
- usagi felt devastated as she watched you talk on the screens with a smile
- she wondered whether you ever faked the words you said
- but even if you did she wasn’t ready to let go of you yet
- she claimed to hate you and everything you did but her heart already clenched at the mention of your name
- at night she cried into arisu’s shoulder as she wondered where it went wrong
- during the games she managed to distract herself long enough to forget you for a couple of hours but when the adrenaline started to disappear you would haunt her mind endlessly
- when time came to play against the queen of hearts she felt like she could die of heartache alone
- arisu had offered to go alone but usagi refused to let her friend go against you all alone
- but reality really hit her when you stood there with a pretty dress and a charming smile on your face that usually would have swooned her
- for the entire game she had to hold back tears anytime she looked at you
- pain, betrayal and anger took over when you treated her as if you weren’t making people play to survive
- it was only when she looked up at you as she was bleeding in arisu’s arms, that she recognised a part of you by the look in your eyes
- it was the same look you gave her anytime she kissed you after a game with blush coating her cheeks or when you brushed your teeth in the morning while looking at her through the bathroom mirror with upturned lips
- she felt a sob take through her body and she knew the worst had yet to come
- and her prediction was right, you looked at her with a peaceful smile on your face before the laser went right through your head
- as your body fell to the ground, usagi rushed towards your body with trembling hands as she clung onto your body for the last time

If your request are still open I would like to add a request.
Maybe some Zolu x Reader head-canons, like what would happen if they were to have kids?
Yes my requests are open and id love to do this I'll do Zosan though since I'm not to sure about Zolu at the moment sorry:) Reader is female
Warning: Bad language and fluff
As i was writing this i came up with a bunch of ideas so i'll be making two more stories and linking them. thank you for the request i enjoyed this so much :) <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ Your baby would be 100% protected no matter what. The whole crew would be down to fight if anything happened to your baby but Sanji and Zoro would be pissed and run right in to help. No one will ever touch their baby and one of you or the crew will always be with her. Gods forbid someone makes your baby cry, Sanji and Zoro will give them a death glare until they say sorry or run away.
^ Your first child would be a girl and it was your idea to call her Kuina after Zoro's childhood friend, Zoro loved it and was so grateful to have you and Sanji in his life. You would all take turns getting up at night with your baby but the boys made it a point to let you sleep more since you did have the baby and are providing the milk.
^ Sanji is in love from the moment he laid his eyes on his baby girl and would carry her around when ever he could, would never smoke around his baby and will start eating breath mints after a cigarette, no one told him to do it but he didn't want his daughter to get second hand smoke.
^ Zoro would take naps with your baby girl, you have to remind at first not to sleep in direct sunlight with her, but he soon got it and started sleeping either inside or under the tree on the grass deck, the baby would either be in her basket or on his chest. He loves to have his baby on his chest, she feels so warm.
^ Sanji would differently have the baby in the kitchen when he's cooking, having her sit in her high chair and showing her ingredients and telling her everything she needs to know, he'd let her taste things and listen to her babble with a "Yes, you think so?" or "That's a great idea".
^ When you and Sanji dance in the kitchen your baby love to watch, clapping along to the music and giggling at the two of you. Sanji will pick her up and let her join you two giving his two favorite girls compliments and kisses.
^ When you and Zoro work out together you like to have the baby in the room, She sleeps very well almost like the sound of the weights and you two talking lulls her to sleep. When she is awake you love to put her on a blanket on the floor and do push-ups above her, when coming down you blow on her belly or kiss her head making her giggle, her hands tend to grab your hair or nose, but she's so fucking cute you can't stop her.
^ Zoro falls in love all over again watching you and his baby, sometimes he'll just stop mid set watching you two. He 100% the kind of dad that makes his daughter feel strong, like when she squeezes his finger he'll fall to his knees and pretend like she's forcing him down "Oh no my baby girls too strong... please have mercy" his baby will giggle and let go, so he can kiss her forehead.
^ When the three of you are out you love to have the baby in your arms but if you get tired Sanji or Zoro are more than happy to hold her, Sanji will show off his baby when ever possible, lady's will swoon over him and the baby in his arms, but he's starting to flirt less and brag more about his baby girl and the woman who helped made her.
^ While out Zoro will either hand the baby in his kimono wrapped up tight, so she won't fall out or when she's old enough, on his shoulders letting her see the world and play with his hair. You or Sanji will always be with him when out with the baby, so he doesn't get lost and make you two worry, it happened once and you almost had a heart attack while Sanji almost killed Zoro.
^ You are praised a lot by the two, telling you how much they love you and thanking you for this bundle of joy. They make sure your well rested and well-fed, if you ever need time alone or away from the baby there is no problem, they will take care of things for you. You will get a lot of hugs and kisses when ever they see you, telling you how good you look even if you feel like shit.
^ Zoro and Sanji will spend time together in the aquarium bar with your baby, showing her the fish or letting her sleep while the two spend time together, they would love it of you joined them but sometimes you need time away or you have work to do. They will cuddle with each other and either sleep or talk quietly while your baby sleeps.
^ When your baby started talking her first word as "Berry" she loves strawberries, raspberries and blueberries but none of you expected that to be her first words. Her names for you are Mum and Mommy and for Sanji and Zoro she seems to only call Zoro Dad and Sanji Daddy.
----- Now for the crew, Friends & Foes -----
^ Luffy loves your baby girl, he always wants to bring her on adventures that the three of you have to stop. Luffy considers your baby girl a part of his crew but when she's old enough to talk he asks her to join his crew and before any of you three can stop him she answers yes. Luffy is your baby's uncle there's no doubt about it and when she started to talk it was hard for her to say Luffy or Uncle, so she started calling him Lu or Lulu.
^ Nami is one of your best friend's, but she wasn't to sure about your baby at first, it was mainly fear of doing something wrong or getting puked on but over time she starts to interact more with her and the first time she holds your baby girl she didn't want to let her go. Your daughter has been obsessed with Nami's hair form day one and loves to run her small hand through the navigator's hair, she never grabs, pulls or tried to eat it, you think she just loves the color and feel. At first, she started calling Nami Ore but when she could finally say Orange she started calling her that.
^ Usopp was a nervous wreck, he said a lot of stuff before the baby was born about being the best uncle and how good he is with baby's but when the baby was put into his arms he froze, he was scared to move or even breath, but he got a little more confident around her. He went over the top when baby proofing the ship but you didn't mind better to be safe than sorry. Your daughter thinks of him as her second uncle and loves to watch him make things, but he always panics when she gets a few feet too close to his tools, she laughs about it though and sits with Zoro watching him form afar. She likes to call him Nose, but she also calls him opp from time to time.
^ Robin is 100% the auntie to your daughter, she helps out a lot with the baby and often reads to her. She finds your baby so cute she can't help but blush when ever she starts babbling, she used to read your baby kids books but soon turned to history books, Sanji wasn't sure at first but Robin told him that the baby was smart, and she wouldn't read her anything graphic. Zoro was also weary of it but after sitting with them one time he realized it was ok, your baby enjoyed it and Robin mostly taught her about ancient city's and skypia. Your baby looks at Robin with so much wonder and calls her Ant since she couldn't say Auntie at first.
^ Chopper loves but also fears your daughter, he helped you through your pregnancy, the birth and check up's afterwords, if you or the boys have any concerns he's the one you go to. He mainly fears your daughter because she's convinced he's a real living teddy bear, she'll rub his fur, hug him but when she was teething she often tried to bite his antlers. You, Zoro and Sanji tired your best to explain things to her or get her to stop but it took a while. She of course calls him Teddy or Fluffy and smiles when ever she sees him.
^ Franky made her cry the first time he met her, his large figure leaning over to look at her made her scream and cry, he cried too getting on his knees and begging for forgiveness. It took a while for your daughter to get used to him, he made toys for her and would always use his tiny hand to interact with her as not to scare her. She starts really liking him as she gets older, she laughs when ever he does something silly, and she tends to copy him when ever he does his Super stance, her name for him is Robo and she refuse to call him anything else.
^ Brook and your Daughter had a strange meeting, they both just stared at each other for a solid minute before she starts laughing, it made every surprised, you thought she would be scared of him, but she wasn't, in fact she was fascinated by him, and he bent down to let her feel his skull. When ever she see's him she likes to touch his face or pull on his finger's, she loves his laugh and tried to mimic it at times. You often sing your baby to sleep but if your having trouble Brook will lend a hand and lightly place the violin while you sing, you baby falls asleep almost instantly. She loves to call him skelly or skull.
^ Jinbe is a big help in calming you or your boys down when your upset or frustrated over something to do with the baby, most of the time its you three doubting yourselves, but he's there for you, he thinks your daughter is amazing and your daughter loves to hear the man talk, its like when ever he does she can't turn away form him its something about his voice. She calls him Jin or Jolly and when ever she see's another fish man she loves to wave at them or say hi to them.
^ The heart pirates helped you through your birth, Chopper needed help and asked Law who wasn't too happy at first but agreed to help. You had the baby on the sunny so all the heart pirates where on the sub, but they really wanted to see your baby. they boo'd their captain when he said they were leaving, but they didn't fight him. Almost a month later they finally, met your baby, and she loved Bepo he was a big fluffy teddy in her eyes, and she loved Penguin's and Shachi's hats, the two took it upon themselves to get your baby a Dolphin hat, and she loves it. Law said he didn't feel any kinda way towards your baby, but he was so gentle with her and the slight blush on his cheeks gave away that he did think she was cute. The only member she was scared of was Jean Bart, he was a large man, but he was also super kind and gave your baby a lot of space.
^ Kid pirates had no idea you were even pregnant, your baby was over a year by the time they met up with the straw hats again and it was a chance meeting. You, Sanji and Zoro were out shopping, your baby girl on Zoro's shoulders until you bumped into Kid and Killer, The captain raised an eyebrow at you four before blurting out about you guys having a kid, Zoro handed Sanji the baby girl before yelling at Kid to back off. While those two argued Killer walked up to you and Sanji and the cooks instinct was to raise his leg up to protect your baby but you placed a hand on his leg, telling him it's ok. Killer went eye level with your baby and reached a finger out your baby taking it and shaking his hand as the man laughed a little and your baby girl laughed too. Kid and Zoro finally stopped fighting to see your baby and Killer interact, your baby touched the mans mask and her eyes were so kind. Kid sighs before congratulating you all and walking away, Killer waving goodbye too. It was a strange encounter but luckily there was no harm done. (Link)
^ When the Vinsmoke family found out they where pissed but didn't do anything about it, the only one who did care was Reiju, but she kept it to herself. She sent a gift basket and a card getting it special delivered to the sunny, Sanji cried when he saw it and it made you tear up a little too but you were all thankful to her. There was chance meeting with the three germa 66 boys that didn't go so well though (Link)
^ Mihawk and Perona had very different ways of interacting with your daughter, but they both really wanted to meet her, Mihawk sent a letter out along with a log post inviting you all to his castle, Perona wrote in it too asking all kinds of questions like what toy's does she like? Does she like pink? what's her favorite food? ect, you never thought the ghost girl would be interested in your baby but you were proven wrong (Link)

pairing: chishiya x gn!reader (no pronouns used) genre: angst word count: 821
warnings: blood, death, canon-typical violence, death
includes: possibly ooc chishiya, kinda hurt no comfort ?? very angsty lol, ambiguous ending
summary: after a grueling battle with the king of spades, you search for chishiya in your final moments
Tumblr media
and if you go, i wanna go with you / and if you die, i wanna die with you
carnage.
the only thing you can see is carnage. blood seeps into the asphalt around you. you’re not sure if it’s yours.
the fabric of your t-shirt is stuck to your skin. each shaky breath you take is shallow as you force the air into your lungs. your hands tremble as you lift them up towards the sky. deep red streaks are embedded into your flesh. your vision is blurry. you feel disoriented. everything hurts.
“chishiya,” you whisper. his name leaves your lips like a prayer. squinting at the sky, you almost confuse the sun for his warmth. the light is far more comforting than the hard ground below.
“y/n?” someone asks from beside you. her voice is shaky. she sounds familiar. kuina. “are you okay?”
“chishiya,” you repeat. “i need to find him.” squeezing your eyes shut, you push yourself to sit up. your head aches. you’re not sure how far you’re able to move. the world spins for a second before everything pauses for a second.
you take the opportunity to glance around. the alleyway has a fresh coating of red splattered across the walls. stray bullet holes leave tiny windows into the nearby buildings. your skin is coated in a heavy layer of filth and grime.
every muscle in your body tenses as you push yourself even farther. in a blur, you’re finally standing. you lean against the wall for support, shuffling your feet against the ground as you slowly begin to move.
there’s even more wreckage outside of the alleyway. debris litters the earth below. blood and gore decorate your surroundings. bile rises in your throat at the sight, but you continue pushing yourself to move regardless. i can afford to be selfish just this once, you reason. if i’m going to die, i might as well die with my lover.
retracing your steps is easier than you had expected. you stumble past aguni, paying no mind to the blank look in his eyes as he stares up at the sun. there are a million things he could be looking for. you don’t care about any of them. not anymore.
you grunt when you lose your balance once again, tripping over your own feet. you tumble into a nearby car; your body slams into the side of the vehicle. a part of you worries about setting off the alarm but it is quickly squandered by the realization that the owner is likely dead. at least there’s no one left to be annoyed by the repetitive noise.
“y/n?” he breaks the silence with a breathless whisper. he looks more shocked than you do. tears sting in your eyes.
you leave a trail of blood in your wake as you slide against the side of the cool metal. you maneuver yourself around to the other edge of the car before abruptly stopping. time freezes.
you blink once. then again. a third time. you rack your brain in an attempt to make sense of the sight of the man before you. chishiya.
“‘shiya.” you let yourself collapse onto the ground beside him. your knees buckle under the weight of relief - or maybe the strain from moving. you’re not sure anymore.
chishiya is quick to grab onto you, letting you lean your aching body against his. your blood seeps into the white fabric of his jacket. his fingers grip your arms before moving upwards to support your face.
chishiya’s hand slips away from your face to instead press against your side. you hiss at the pressure, coiling into yourself. “i’m sorry,” he whispers. you already know that he is. that he’d take away your pain if he could. that he wishes he could do more.
you look at him through blurry vision. tears roll down your cheeks in waves. his touch is gentle as he wipes them away.
“y/n,” he repeats. you can feel his gaze all over you - scanning your body for the worst injury. the one he should treat first. bad habits die hard, you suppose.
you bury your face into the crook of his neck. chishiya has let up on the pressure. instead, his arms rest gingerly around your waist, keeping you wrapped comfortably in his hold. you’re grateful.
“i love you.” your words slur together. you’re sure they’re nearly inaudible as you mumble them against his skin.
“i love you too,” chishiya whispers. each syllable is clear as it leaves his lips but you know him well enough to recognize the small waver that stings at the end of each word. you know him well enough to know his grip around your body is tight for a reason. you know him well enough to know that the tears staining your cheeks are not only your own.
you can hear fireworks in the distance. closing your eyes, you allow darkness to surround you. you imagine the beautiful hues of colour decorating the sky as the world finally fades away.

Hi! I finished AIB and honestly it was a rollercoaster. I was wondering if you could do a Chishiya fluff of them competing in one of the games from season 2? (Any maybe kinda established relationship- I’m in love with him)
i can sure try! (*˘︶˘*).。*♡ thank you for requesting and feedback is always welcome. it's very short but i think it turned out okay!
"Are you insane? You jumped out of a moving car!", Chishiya chastised you while you both took refuge in a building nearby, huddling close to each other and whispering, while the two of you thought of ways to avoid the King of Spades.
"Well, I wasn't about to leave you!", you said, decidedly as if it was an universal truth. "You didn't leave me in the first game we played, you didn't leave me back when the Beach was burning... I'm not leaving you now. You made me a promise, remember?", you smiled, intertwining your fingers together. Usually, Chishiya wasn't one for PDA but since it was just the two of you inside an abandoned building, you thought it would be a good exception. He made sure no one knew about the two of you back in the Beach, not even Kuina knew until you were months in.
"Hm, did I? I don't recall", he teased with a slight smile, tightening his hand around yours. Of course Chishiya remembered, he wasn't one to make promises after all, but he indulged both you and himself with that one. 'We'll get out of here together'.
"You don't, huh?", you chuckled. "Well, I do. It's very important to me. Something something we'll get out of here together, if I'm not mistaken", you smiled at him.
"Oh, yes. I suppose I did. Hm. Now I have no choice but to go through with it, do I?", he humored, earning himself a weak slap to the arm while he raised his hands in surrender, not letting go of your hand and effectively pulling you into him.
"Damn right you don't. You're not getting rid of me that easy. Our promise go both ways", you said, quietly, now admiring him upclose. At the sound of gunshots far away, you hid your face in his chest for a moment. "If we can get rid of him. What the hell, does he has infinite ammo?"
"I guess. We'll wait for him to pass by and then we'll move. Find a game. Find the others, if possible. You alright with that?", he asked, leaning in close.
"I'm fine with whatever if it means you'll be by my side", you were determined, Chishiya could see that. Could see that you meant every word, and your undying loyalty made his heart clench.
"Of course I'll be by your side. I'm not that easy to get rid of either", he pecked your lips.

You and Chishiya always had a rocky relationship, you had arrived at The Beach after him but slowly made your way up the ranks. Becoming semi-close friends with the Hatter can do that for you. Since you were making your way up the ranks you began getting close with all the high-ranking members, you got along with most of them except for Niragi and Chishiya. Niragi because he saw you as a piece of meat and you would do all your power to get away from him and Chishiya because in you’re eyes he sees you as a weak little girl.
But your relationship with Chishiya started to change leading up to the 10 of hearts games. He would start to act nicer towards you, making sure you had arrived from your game unscathed or even trying to make conversation with you. You had to admit, it was kind of nice. But you also found this rather confusing so you went to the one person who you could get answers from Hikari Kuina.
You found Kuina sitting in the main bar at the beach, wearing her signature blue bathing suit while chewing on her dummy cigarette. ‘’Now look what the cat dragged in, how are you doing (Y/N)’’ she looked genuine when she says this but you can see a little glint in her eye. ‘’I know you and Chishiya have gotten closer in the past few months and I was wondering if I could ask a question?’’ You tried to sound as neutral as possible but Kuina could always see right through you. ‘’Let me guess, it has to do with our mutual friend Chishiya?’’ she smirked, always right on target.
‘’Yeah, why has he been checking up on me lately? It’s getting kind of weird because it’s not in his personality. Is he trying to use my connection with Hatter to get something? I mean it’s the only logical reason’’ Kuina laughed at your comment. ‘’Only logical reason! I’ll tell you this right now but you can’t repeat this to anyone, he totally has the hots for you.’’ Now it’s you bursting into laughter. ‘’Very funny Kuina, tell me the real reason why.’’. Kuina looks stunned ‘’You know I would never lie to you (Y/N)’’. Giving up on your line of question you left with a ‘’yeah whatever.’’
A few days passed, and tensions are rising within The Beach, you can feel it. Ever since Aguni has taken over from the sidelines things are going from bad to worse. Chishiya seems more in his head than usual. You were hanging out in the bar when suddenly the P.A. went off. ‘’We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for staying at Seaside Paradise, Tokyo…’’ A man with a calming voice spoke on the P.A. Everyone at the bar looked around confused as were you, then the man continues ‘’As a token of our appreciation, we will now commence a game with all 59 participants in the venue…’’ All the TV’s around the room flash with one image which gains everyone's interest. The 10 of Hearts. The Beach is a venue and it’s a 10 of hearts game? You were not looking forward to this. ‘’All participants must assemble in the lobby immediately. The rules of the game will be explained.’’ There was a feeling in your stomach that this game was gonna cause massive problems. So you and everyone else in the bar migrated into the lobby and grabbed one of the many phones on the table to register for the game.
While waiting for all the players to arrive you make eye contact with Chishiya from across the room, none of you pulls away and it was probably the first time you never felt a dislike towards him, instead it was something much different. My focus was pulled away when someone yells ‘’Momoka!’’ and there she was living lifeless on the floor with her orange and white striped bikini knife stabbed into her heart. Being a part of the games you had seen lots of death but watching it be someone who lives in the house as you and has been helping you since you arrived sets a horrible gut feeling within you. A ding rings from the phone in your hands which now gains your attention. ‘’Game, witch hunt. The murderous witch who killed this girl is hiding amongst you in plain sight. The witch role is not limited to women. To clear the game you must find the witch and burn him or her in the fire of judgement. Time limit: 2 hours.’’ Massive roars were held within the lobby and you knew things were gonna go south within seconds. As you were trying to think of a plan to do anything Chishiya carefully grabs you by the arm and walks you away from the group in the lobby without raising any suspicion. He leads you through multiple corridors and rooms before placing you in a wardrobe. ‘’Things are going to turn into shit (Y/N), stay in here and don’t the door open for anyone except me, I’ll get you when this is finished.’’ Chishiya gets up to close the door before you ask: ‘’Why are you doing this? How do you know I’m not the witch?’’.Chishiya looks at you carefully. ‘’Because I need to know that your gonna be safe, and I know your not the witch because your not the type to kill a person (Y/N).’’ He then leaves through the door and you stay in the closet. After around 10 minutes you believe this to be a good idea because you can lot of screaming and multiple gunshots.
After what seems like an hour and a half sitting in a closet listening to screams Chishiya opens the door and pulls you out of the closet. The hallways were full of smoke and dead bodies on the floor. Chishiya takes you to Kuina and you guys make your way to god knows where. ‘’Will someone please tell me what's happening? Who’s the witch? Where’s Hatter and Aguni? Where are we even going?’’ you groaned loudly while walking barefoot into the city. ‘’Everything will be explained to you soonly (Y/N)’’.
You make your way through some ground tunnels until you reach a room with loads of dead bodies and computer scenes. Then you finally explode. ‘’What the fuck is happening!? Someone explain everything to me now! I'm so confused… where are we? Where’s hatter?” Chishiya sits me down and gives it to me straight, how hatter died a few days ago and thats why aguni took over. How Asahi told everyone she was the dealer of the game, and why Momoka killed herself because she was the witch. It was very hard to listen but Chishiya sits next to me and comforts me the best way he knows how. By stroking my hair, it was really nice minus the horrible things he was telling but all that stopped when we heard footsteps coming towards the computer scenes.  Arisu and Usagi walk through the darkness and Chishiya make us known to them. “So you actually found this place. I expected no less from you. Thanks to you two, I have all the numbered playing cards right here. Thank you.’’ Chishiya looks as smug as ever, you can’t help but feel a little bit more attracted to him.
Conversations were exchanged between the four of them, trying to figure out how each person got to the same place, and what even was this place. You tune yourself out of the conversation and decided to turn and sort out your conflicted feelings. Why did Chishiya save you? You don’t have anything to bring to the table, maybe a few hand-to-hand combat skills but that’s it. Why are you even having feelings for Chishiya? This was starting to get very annoying for you but your train of thought cuts out when all the screens turn on and you see Mira walk into the shot. Everyone exchanged confused glances. She goes on to explain how there are going to be new games and these games will be the ‘face’ card games. But it left all of us wondering, when will we ever get back home?
We all make our way into the centre of Tokyo trying to think about the new information Mira has given us. We look out into the streets of Tokyo and see multiple huge blimps with different kinds of face cards on them. One huge billboard with ‘Next Stage: Start’’ written on it. ‘’None of the games has started yet’’ spoke Arisu standing in the middle of the group looking so tired. ‘’Maybe we still have time’’ Usagi spoke next trying to reassure Arisu. ‘’Or they forgot to push the big red start button’’ Chishiya replied, Arisu and Usagi turned around and gave Chishiya a look, and I couldn’t help but give a chuckle. I noticed Chishiya smirk a little. ‘’They didn’t tell us about the rules for this one.’’ Signs Kuina. Everyone in the group continues to look around confused. Usagi looks like she notices something. ‘’What is it?’’ I ask with Chishiya to my right. ‘’I hear something’’ Usagi replies and looks towards the street. We all turn and watch the street with her. Multiple cars approach us, and I recognise them as Beach people. They all hop out of their cars and Arisu goes to investigate. ‘’What is this? What are you doing here?’’ He asks one of the members. The members of The Beach go on to say ‘’We saw the blimps show up, there are rumours that the next stage is starting’’. Arisu getting a little frustrated says ‘’Right… here's the thing’’ Suddenly the members of The Beach are getting shot down.
‘’A riffle, get moving,’’ Chishiya says in a weirdly calm way when people around him are dying. ‘’That thing is an anti-tank rifle. So I’d forget about hiding behind a car.’’ He tells the group. I decided to take initiative for Chishiya at this moment, I grab his arm and we follow Arisu towards some buildings. Chishiya runs ahead of me and covers me with the rifle. When the group meets behind the building Kuina asks ‘’Does this means the game started?’’ Chishiya quickly replies ‘’I don’t know’’. Kuina continues ‘’Did they give us any rules?’’ We slowly make our way around the building. ‘’Without rules this is just a massacre’’ Shouts Arisu. ‘’That rifle can kill from about a kilometre away,’’ Chishiya tells the group, he goes from covering me to holding my waist if not for the adrenaline I would assume my bodies reacting like this because of him. Different sounds now come from the gun. ‘’And now we’ve got an assault rifle.’’ Chishiya continues. We all huddle as a group and give comments about things we are witnessing and ideas on what could be happening. ‘’Maybe there are different shooters’’ Usagi speaks up, ‘’Other players are grouping up, I didn’t know there were this many players left’’ Kuina adds. ‘’There almost here!’’ Arisu shouts and backs away from the mysterious shooter. ‘’Let's go!’’ Arisu yells while taking the group back into the street. ‘’I don’t think this is a good idea Arisu!’’ I yell in hopes he can hear me but the blast from the rifle is too much. ‘’We need to split up’’ Chishiya yells and grabs me by the hand and pulls me from the group.
Chishiya and I start sprinting down the street, hands holding each other while bodies fall all around us. I trip on a rock and Chishiya is there to scoop me up from the ground and we continue running. Hands still interlocked tugging each other towards different directions. I see Kuina from a distance and drag Chishiya with me to catch up with her. Kuina looked grateful that somebody else was with her and the 3 of us crouched behind a car. Kuina looks down and see’s Chishiya and I’s hands interlocked. She gives me a knowing look and I turn around to focus on more important things like Arisu and Usagi running along the opposite side of the road trying to help somebody. I make eye contact with Arisu: ‘’Are you trying to get killed out there!’’ with that comment the gunman takes fire in our direction. I hide back behind the car. My back is up against Chishiya's torso and I can feel his breath on my neck. Kuina speaks up ‘’Where are they shooting from anyway?’’ we then hear a loud rumbling from above us and see the huge blimp with a kind of spade flag hanging below it. ‘’Huh, he must be the king of spades’’ Chishiya tells us he then turns to me. ‘’Take this it’s a good luck charm’’ He gives me a handmade explosive. ‘’Thank you Chishiya, I don’t know what to say’’ I can’t believe Chishiya would give up an explosive for me. ‘’Just use it if you have to.’’ and he gives me a smile. I turn to look away feeling a bit flustered but then I notice a man dressed in a long dark black cloak. I point towards him and direct Chishiya and Kuina towards what I’m looking at. ‘’That must be the king of spades’’ I whisper lightly. Chishiya whispers back into my ear ‘’I think your right’’ I turn around to say something but got caught looking into his eyes. My concentration on his eyes disappears when Kuina spots Arisu, Usagi and some random dead guy in the car next to us. ‘’Hey! You two okay? You hurt?’’ Kuina pipes up, and Chishiya gives them a wave. Shots continue to fire as we hide behind the car. ‘’We’re pinned down here’’ I say loud enough for us to hear. ‘’If we step out, he’ll get us!’’ Usagi replies. All of us try to figure out a plan to get out of there but nothing seems to be working out and the king of spades is getting closer. My train of thought gets broken when I green car that I’ve noticed from the beach before pulls in front of us honking its horn. ‘’Get in!’’ yells Tatta from the passenger seat. ‘’Tatta!?’’ Arisu and I yell in surprise and relief. ‘’Don’t just stand there!’’ someone yells from the driver's seat. ‘’Ann!’’ Kuina yells. Usagi and Arisu are the first to make their way to the car followed by Kuina, me and Chishiya. Ann opens the passenger seat and Arisu, Usagi and Kuina make it safely. Different story for Chishiya and me. A grenade is thrown towards the car door and Chishiya stops me from walking on it. ‘’That’s bad. Get going!’’ He yells towards Ann.
In a split-second decision, I decided to kick the grenade towards the kings of spades will Chishiya grabs my hand and tugged me the other way. ‘’(Y/N)! Chishiya!’’ I hear Kuina yell from the car. Chishiya pulls me behind a car and uses his body to shield me from the blast. At that moment I’m glad that I was stuck with Chishiya because I know that if I had to pick anyone out of the group to survive with it would be him and unfortunately for us, we won’t be seeing the group in a while.
