Relationships in the mcu are super shallow, the movies never focus on the smaller moments for long enough for you to feel they're real. I'm saying all of this as a fan, It's not just Bucky and Steve.

We can hate Age of Ultron all we want but it's the only movie were the avengers actually interacted with eachother. The movie's are too focused on developing the big things they don't slow down enough to care about anyone.

There's also the constant prioritisation of romantic relationships over friendships. In No Way Home we get a bigger goodbye between Peter and MJ than Peter and his best friend, even though Peter and MJ have only been dating for like weeks and Peter and Ned have been best friends for years. Peter is more concerned about getting the girl he's dated in high school for a couple of weeks than HIS BEST FRIEND to remember him.

If the romances were given time to develop maybe it wouldn't feel so meh. Wanda and Vision are the only couple with some true development and it only happened during the show.

The potential is there, Bucky and Nat have such an interesting dynamic in the comics that was just wasted. I hope they keep developing the friendship between Kate and Yelena because we're in desperate need for something like it.

Talking about Yelena they changed her into Nats little sister but didn't give her any development for it to make sense. You're telling me Nat didn't tell her anything about her best friend Clint??? Clint knows everything about Yelena from Nat, but Yelena has nothing. All those years and Yelena talking about wanting to spend time with Nat and nothing??? Wasn't it better at that point to keep them as rivals with respect for eachother???

Nat and Clint's relationship had more development after Nat's death than when she was alive and that's honestly awful.
