a little bit about naila before i type up her full history and etc.

name: naila elaine pike

nickname: nai

age: 26-33 (verse dependent)

gender: cis female (she+her pronouns)

short history:

naila grew up extremely wealthy with three brothers that are all 6+ years older than her. she has a different mother than them and that caused some tension growing up between her mother, her brothers, and her brother's mother.

father was a ceo of pike pharmaceutical, so obviously he wasn't present for shit. that being said, he was a very loving father and put effort into making sure that naila (and her brothers) were always taken care of. her mother was more absent, but that was mostly because it was so uncomfortable for her to be around her husband's family. they were very judgmental of the age gap in the marriage.

she's never had any interest in the pharma industry, never liked the flashing lights or the money even though she does benefit highly from having a wealthy, privileged life.

not close with her brothers at all, knows very little about their lives and what they got up to. after their deaths, she finds out a lot of horrifying information that makes her despise them and her family as a whole.

naila wants to be a teacher, mostly likely for high school students and troubled youths and she has the attitude and mindset that she really wants to find kids that are floundering and ignored and slipping through the cracks and help them. this stems a lot from the fact that despite her lavish life and limitless resources, she grew up very lonely and isolated and didn't have anyone that she could really count on beyond a few close tutors. she went to private, elite schools that were full of people she never really fit in with.

her father poisons the family. he does this because there's an error in the pharma business that leads him to believe that they are going to be broke and the shame of this leads him to become a family annihilator. two of her three brothers and her mother are a victim of her father's poisoning, as is her father, and naila is left out of the murder/suicide because she's away for the evening at a charity benefit. this is a blessing, as she lives, but it also leads her to knowing that she was purposefully left out and severed from her family. it's fucked up, but she assumes that her father didn't love her enough to include her and want to protect her. this isn't true, her father left her alive because she was a bright star in his life and he couldn't imagine hurting her, but no note was left so naila never finds this out.

she is thrust into a roll of being a pharmaceutical company ceo per her father's will and though the company does lose millions of dollars, they are not in financial ruin and are still afloat. she truly has very little power because of the board members are in control of the company, which she prefers. in fact, naila would like nothing more than to finish up her college studies for becoming a teacher.

I know I'm probably a weirdo for this, but one day I got to thinking, what if Pokemon was lingually accurate? Like, if characters were named appropriately based on their region? So I actually went through Bulbapedia and compiled a list of every major character's names in other languages. And just in case anyone else was curious, I thought I'd share it.

I'm going from the English base, so I'm majorly not including Unova, Galar, and most of Alola. Ones that are weird or are migrants I give explanations for.

Kanto: Japanese

Red: Same in English and Japanese

Blue: Technically referred to as Green in Japanese since the original games were Red and Green (hence remakes being FireRed and LeafGreen), but is considered Blue internationally and it makes more sense to me (Red picks Charmander, rival picks Squirtle to be better, thus Blue).

French and Chinese use the respective language's variation of the phrase as a base for her name, while Spanish and Italian use Greek words, for "wisdom" and "intelligence" respectively.

Professor Laventon: He's Galarian, so his name is English.

Unova: English The only ones I'm doing here are ones that AREN'T necessarily the English version.

Clay or Yakon: I've heard Clay may play on Japanese businessman tropes, and he has an ancestor in Hisui, so his name could be either of these.

Lacey or Taro: As Clay's daughter, her situation is the same as his.

Cyrano or Mirtilo: English and Spanish names respectively. Lives in Unova, but as Clavel's classmate could be from Paldea maybe? Saffron or Milo: As above

Alola: English Hawaii is an American state, and there isn't a Native Hawaiian translation of the games, so English is the default language here. But Hawaii does have ties to the East, so I will use some of the Japanese names if they make more sense to me. Most are just slight spelling changes anyhow.

Yo (Elio): Moved from Kanto to Alola, so Japanese name.

Mizuki (Selene): Moved from Kanto to Alola, so Japanese name.

Ma'o (Mallow): Technically her Japanese name is just Mao, but ma'o is the Hawaiian word for Hawaiian cotton and I feel spelling it that way feels better.

Sophocles or Māmane: Both names after the same plant, the Sophora chrysophylla, it's common and local Hawaiian name being māmane.

Hapu'u (Hapu): Hapu'u is her name in Japanese and comes from hāpuʻu, the Hawaaian tree fern.

Molayne or Mullein: Molayne is just a different spelling tbh and I kinda think it looks better.

Skipping Galar; there aren't really a lot of clear foreigners besides Kabu whose name is the same.

Paldea: Spanish and Portuguese I look at both languages because Paldea is based on the Iberian Peninsula and not just Spain. However, with Portuguese, I'm having to look at Brazilian Portuguese, which is not quite the same as European Portuguese, because that's almost all that's on Bulbapedia. I generally choose whether to use Spanish or Portuguese based on if said name is also the same as the English and/or Japanese name. Or default if only one is available. Also uhh my order might be a bit weird here because I didn't get to actually play these games. I kinda assumed you go through the teachers before Gym Leaders, so...yeah. I can re-order it later if that's wrong or confusing.

Florian: From an unknown region, but the same in English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian.

Juliana: From an unknown region, but the same in English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian.

Nemo(?): She is noted to not be from Paldea but her home isn't specified so it could be anything. Nemona is her name in English and E. Portuguese, Nemo in Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, and Thai, Noêmia in B. Portuguese, Nemila in German, Nemola in Indonesian, and Nemi in Italian. The odd ones out are Mencía in Spanish and Menzi in French.

Kissera (Iono): Her B. Portuguese name, comes from "O que será?" apparently meaning "what will it be?", which is closer to the intent behind her name in Japanese (Nanjyamo, name given to an unusually large tree that grows in a particular place; literally meaning "What is it?") and English (Iono, as in "I don't know") than her Spanish name, e-Nigma. Which makes me think of the Riddler.

Laureano or Lauro (Larry): His Spanish and B. Portuguese names respectively. Larry could be a nickname for either though.

Lima or Citrina (Ryme): Her Spanish and B. Portuguese names respectively. Lima has the same puns on lime and rhyme that English and Japanese does, but tbh makes me think more of lima beans. Citrina is from citrino (citrus).

Tuli or Tulipa (Tulip): Her Spanish and B. Portuguese names respectively.

Grusha: Actually may be from an unrevealed Russian region as his name is Russian. It's also the same in most languages.

Cayena or Kaya (Rika): Her Spanish and B. Portuguese names respectively. Both come from cayenne, which isn't in her Japanese or English names. Her Japanese name is Chili, and Rika comes from paprika.

Poppy: Her name in English, Japanese, and B. Portuguese as well as German and Indonesian.

Hassel?: From and unknown region so could literally be anything, and all his names are very different.

Ságita or Guita (Geeta): Her Spanish and B. Portuguese names respectively. Supercampeona (Top Champion)

Team Star: Same in English and Spanish as well as German, French, and Italian

Penny: Actually from Galar, so her English name. Cassiopeia or Casiopea: English and Spanish forms respectively, referencing the constellation.

Giacomo: Same in English and B. Portuguese DJ Vil (DJ Vice)

Melo or Mélia (Mela): Spanish and B. Portuguese respectively.

Henzo (Atticus): Spanish name. Not like English or Japanese name, but his whole ninja theming makes Henzo fit better than the B. Portuguese Érico.

Erin or Êri (Eri): Spanish and B. Portuguese respectively.

It’s been two days. Two days since she walked into the office and completely turned your world upside down. Theresa Lisbon!

You’d heard about her, of course you had. Marcus was very candid about his past and his need to take things slow. He didn’t want to make the same mistakes - dive head first into another relationship only to crash and burn.

Things were going good, great even and you were sure after almost a year together that he was finally going to ask you to move in. Then she showed up and you haven’t heard from him since. No texts, no calls - nothing. You were worried at first, thinking that something had happened but when you heard Elaine talking to Maria about how close Marcus and Theresa seemed when the were at lunch together, you knew he was just ignoring you.

You’ve been hurt in the past, your ex fiancé cheating on you with your best friend so you never have an expectations when it comes to men. There all the same, your nana would say. You just didn’t think Marcus was one of them.

Tonight was the night Marcus had booked a table at that fancy restaurant he had wanted to try and after contemplating whether to go or not - you got dressed up and went.

You had sent him multiple texts over the last two days which were read but never replied to. I just hope he doesn’t forget about this, about me.

Sipping on your third glass of wine, you waited - waited over an hour and he never showed.

“Can I get you something else Ms?”

“No eh…can I just pay for these please.”

“Of course.”

Just as you were about to exit the restaurant, the sound of you name startles you.

“Baby…wait!” Oh hell no.

You chose to ignore him as you continued on your part home. He’s out of breath when he catches up to you, his arm coming to touch your wrist.

“Baby wait…I’m sorry I’m late..”

“Late! Marcus I waited for you for an hour..I was humiliated.”

“I’m sorry I really am, I tried to come sooner but..why are you so angry?”

“What? Are you actually serious right now?”

“Look, let’s just head over to sally’s diner and we can talk about it.”

“You can’t ignore me and just saunter back into my life like nothing happened”

“I didn’t ignore you, baby, what are talking about?”

“I haven’t heard from you since Theresa walked into the office and that was a week ago. You ignored all my texts and calls. Why? Am I not good enough anymore? You still love her don’t you?”

Marcus’s heart is shattering into little pieces the more you talk. You never got his message. This was all wrong and he had to fix it and fast. “Baby I wasn’t ignoring you I promise, please - let’s just go back to mine and we can talk about this. Please?”

“Fine.”

Your emotions are running high and you can’t wrap your head around this. He was trying to protect her?

“What?”

“When she came to me that day it was because a case she was on went bad - she needed somewhere to hide. Jane had gone underground and he had told her that she needed to lay low too - just not with him. It was too dangerous.”

“Ok, but why did you completely ignore me?”

“I had to keep her safe - I didn’t want to be the one to stay with her, but Dale left me no choice. I left you a note, well a letter - I left it with Maria.”

“I never got any letter Marcus, I thought you were spending time with Theresa and were realising that you still had feeling for her. I thought you didn’t want me.”

He moves closer to you now, legs touching as he takes your hands in his. “Never. Baby, I love you - so much, and I’ve never felt this way before. Not with Laura and certainly not with Theresa. It killed me not to be able to see you and I’m sorry, I should have been more adamant about not doing this to Dale.”

“It’s ok Marcus, I get it I do, just please - don’t this to me again, please?”

“Never, baby I promise.” He begins to fidget nervously then and you silently wonder what’s wrong.

“I…I actually had planned to ask you something tonight, it’s why I made the reservation for dinner…I…just…just wait here a minute, ok baby.” You nod your head as he quickly stands and rushes upstairs - you can hear him rummaging before he runs back down.

Coming to stand in front of you he holds out his hand, waiting for you to take it. Standing face to face - he’s smiling brightly at you - before he drops to one knee. A gasp passes your lips.

“Marcus, what are doing?”

“Something I’ve wanted to do for months. Y/N, I love you so much and I’ve known from day one that you were it for me. You accept me for all that I am and you aren’t put off by affection. This past week only solidified it for me that your my one. I want to spend the rest of my life loving you. I want to build a home with you, raise a family. Y/N, will you do me the honour of becoming my wife? Will you marry me?”

“Yes! Yes I’ll marry you.” He places the ring on your finger before standing and wrapping his arms around you. Your lips meet in a searing kiss and you’ve never felt this happy in your life.

“Does this mean I can finally live with you now?”

“Yeah baby it does, but not here. I want us to buy our own home, together.”

“I love you Marcus.”

I'll answer what I can without spoiling:

- does Elain protect her boys from the Old king, and put his head on a pike? Yes. But it will be wild and weird.

-does Nesta really side with the Vanserras? It's complicated.

-does Cassian punch Eris in the ball sack? No or yes. I am not sure yet.

-Is Elain still wearing the butt plug, under that exquisite dress? Ok, so originally, yes. And Fen was gonna find it. But then the chapter gotten so long, I dropped that whole scene. I might still go back to it in some way.

-does the bakery happen ? Yes and much more than that. Elain will be a little Domestic Goddess

- are we gonna meet Rhys and Feybae? Yes, but i have no real plans for them right now, as a couple with their own story.

For some reason, I always, always struggle with writing Feysand. I can't identify their individual personalities in my head. They are kind of amalgamated as one, and therefore, there is no story to tell. Nessian are much easier to write, from that standpoint. They are strong individuals with their own paths.

-more "Jobs" with Fen? Or certainly. One is coming up.

Good moments from 2022 ✨

Seattle roadtrip. Listening to audiobooks on the road, splitting up the 12 hour drive to stay in a tiny Oregon town. The kindness of the people, the fact that drivers and people alike like... Let you move around and stuff, rather than trying to ram into you, even in busy places like Pike Place Market. How insanely good the food was, especially the pine and black pepper ice cream and the spaghetti... I had no idea spaghetti could be so good. How beautiful it was, with the water and the trees. I never even thought about Seattle as a place to live or visit until reading the Written In The Stars books, and from the visit, I could see myself potentially living there.

Getting a raise + exceeds expectations on all points of my performance review. And the fact that my boss raised it even more specifically because of inflation. And when I asked if he had any constructive criticism or anything, he was like, nope, you're wonderful.

Just my job in general. The environment and flexibility and trust levels are to die for. Many workplaces claim to treat you like family, but this one actually does, without saying it. I feel valued and like I'm good at what I do.

Delving more into cosplay. It's such a fun hobby. The perfect creative outlet. My favorite cosplays of the year were all of my Elains, Manon, Gwyn, and Keyleth.

Renn fest. This was a tiny little renn faire type thing by where I live, and it was so fun. It was overcast and drizzly, and it had some structures that looked like old timey buildings. There was mounted archery, which was so cool to see.

Renn faire. My state's big renn faire is always fun. I dressed up as a fairy, with a rainbow wig and crown and huge wings and all. The cutest thing was children seeing me and going "!!!!! It's a fairy, it's a fairy!!!" We saw a sword swallower, vaulting, siege weapon demonstrations, tried honey soda, and more. Some random person slipped my a little scroll and ran away and I was like ??? And it said, "Mommy? Sorry. Mommy? Sorry. Mommy? Sorry." All down the length of it. So cute lol.

FanX. Oh my goddd, this was so fun! We went all three days. I wasn't sure about it, because I have really bad anxiety, and FanX has thousands of people, but it was really, really fun, all three days. The first day, we went as Vax and Keyleth, and I was surprised by how recognized we were and the people asking for pictures. We went down artist's alley and saw some really cool things. The second day, I went as Manon, and everyone thought I was a Targaryen, lol. We got some Critical Hit soda (so many fun flavors, and if you roll a d20, your drink is free), and then went to a panel about The Boys. The third day, we were Vax and Keyleth again because there was a critical role meet up. So funny, you learn to respond to your character's name. So much asking for pictures, it was a bit overwhelming. I got same Game of Thrones fudge and we went through as much of Artist Alley as we could. They had a quiet room, which was nice for when you get overwhelmed, with the lights down low and coloring pages and stuff. We had some Critical Hit soda again, and then went to the meet up, which was fun. They had professionals doing pictures all over the con, and I had mine taken a few times, which was cool. I've only read the comics while my s/o has watched all the campaigns, he's on 3 right now, so I didnt recognize all the characters, but everyone was so, so nice. I forget if we did more things after the meet up or not, I feel like we went home, but I could just not remember.

Evermore Halloween. I was Alicent and my s/o was a medieval person. It was so cool to see how done up the place was and how it's expanded. We didn't hang around long because I was just.... Brutally depressed, but it was still a fun experience while we were there.

Starting to make things for my cosplays, like Keyleth's overdress from the comics and Keyleth's mantle. Watched sooo many episodes of True Blood and Game of Thrones, lol.

Getting the red hair I wanted!

Finally finishing my degree. Somehow managing to go from a failing grade to a 99% on the final and hoping beyond hope I could swing a D- because that's all I needed to pass the class and somehow ending it with a B-. Hard work pays off, I guess.

Finally getting into Game Of Thrones. I think my tastes have changed, because I remember trying it when it was airing, and hating all the violence. When House Of The Dragon aired, I decided to watch the first episode, just to see, and absolutely loved it. And since I watched the first episode the week it came out, I had no new content that week, so then I finally gave Game Of Thrones a go. It's one of my favorite fantasy shows now. Both Game Of Throne and House Of The Dragon were so good. My s/o gave me a beautiful leatherbound set of the books for Christmas, and I'm excited to read them next year.

So many good shows in general. The 100, Game Of Thrones, House Of The Dragon, Warrior Nun, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, She-Ra And The Princesses Of Power, The Boys, and probably more that I'm forgetting, all of these were so good/fun.

I remember watching a lot of good movies, too! Neon Demon, Last Night In Soho, The Menu, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Spirited, these were all from the top of my head. My s/o adores the movies, so we go a lot.

My s/o's parents went to Bosnia for over a month over the summer, and we got a taste of living together. It was nice.

Crave cookies. It's become a weekly thing to check their weekly flavors and see if anything catches the eye.

Working out consistently for months. I worked out for maybe 2 or 3 months consistently? My weight didn't change, but my fitness levels definitely did. I was so proud of it. Both Pamela Reif's videos and the gym helped a lot.

So many beautiful commissions of my characters. A wonderful thing to spend money on because you cherish them forever.

Golden gyros!! The best Greek food.

So many good books. I read a lot of romance this year. It's nice feeling seen and validated in a way that you just don't in SFF books.

Time with my horse, always. Physical and mental health issues kept me from seeing her anywhere near as much as I wanted to, but the cowboy takes great care of her.

Pride was so fun. From free energy drinks to rainbow brownies to such loving energy all around, you feel safe there.

Christmas Eve and Christmas were both amazing? Family bonding time, presents that make me feel seen, good food, getting out and doing fun things, I have another post solely about these days. Since them, my family has felt closer, which is nice.

Trips to my parents' Zion house. Always a beautiful area, and its fun just going on a scenic drive through the park or checking out things in the surrounding area, like a ghost town in the fall or a lake to cool off in in 115 degree summer days.

All the improv comedy.

Outdoor adventures, like to the lake or the hot springs.

Generally being an adult and feeling capable of myself. Like making appointments, putting in new windshield wiper fluid, etc.

I'm sure that there's much more, but this is what comes to mind.

RACE - PROTESTS

2020-2022 UNITED STATES RACIAL UNREST

The George Floyd protests were a series of protests and civil unrest against police brutality and racism that began in Minneapolis on May 26, 2020, and largely took place during 2020. The civil unrest and protests began as part of international reactions to the murder of George Floyd, a 46-year-old African American man who was murdered during an arrest after Derek Chauvin, a Minneapolis Police Department officer, knelt on Floyd's neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds as three other officers looked on and prevented passers-by from intervening. Chauvin and the other three officers involved were later arrested. In April 2021, Chauvin was found guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter. Chauvin was sentenced to 22.5 years in prison with possibility of supervised release after 15 years for second-degree murder in June 2021.

The Elaine massacre occurred on September 30–October 1, 1919 at Hoop Spur in the vicinity of Elaine in rural Phillips County, Arkansas. Brough led a contingent of 583 US soldiers from Camp Pike, with a 12-gun machine gun battalion.

Chicago Race Riot of 1919, most severe of approximately 25 race riots throughout the U.S. in the “Red Summer” (meaning “bloody”) following World War I; a manifestation of racial frictions intensified by large-scale African American migration to the North, industrial labour competition, overcrowding in urban ghettos, and greater militancy among Black war veterans who had fought “to preserve democracy.” In the South revived Ku Klux Klan activities resulted in 64 lynchings in 1918 and 83 in 1919; race riots broke out in Washington, D.C.; Knoxville, Tennessee; Longview, Texas; and Phillips county, Arkansas. " A bad workman always blames his tools " - Ye Olde Proverb

To paraphrase Demi Lovato, I am coming back and more honest than ever. It has been a while since I have decided to seek validation on this platform. I know, I know, what sort of self-respecting person would want attention in the toxic wastelands of the wide world web. Well, jokes on you and ... me, I guess since I do seek the coveted 5 minutes of fame. As such, I return with quite an interesting tale to astonish.

Let us turn back the clock to a time that might as well have been yesterday for some and literally a thousand years for others. It is September 19th 2017, the date when Star Trek: Discovery has premiered and when thousands of fans cried out in anguish. Some of you might wonder why is that. Well, the reality is that Alex Kurtzman really screwed the pooch with this one folks and to be honest this isn't even his first time working with the Star Trek franchise. Oh no, the guy had his hands in the creation of Star Trek Into Darkness, a lukewarm movie adaption of The Wrath of Khan. He really learned all the wrong lessons from good old J.J. Abrams and then some, considering that most fans were not really impressed with the show from the first season until the last. To be fair, Discovery had some good to it, but the bad and ugly far outweighed even Anson Mount's performance as Captain Christopher Pike in season 2 and the return to the roots of the franchise in season 4. As such, one might wonder, are all creators unable to work outside of their own headcanons or is it just some of them. To answer that question let us turn our attention to Ron Gilbert's Return to Monkey Island.

Ron Gilbert is the original creator of the first two games in the Monkey Island series and was a creative consultant for Telltale's entry into the franchise, Tales of Monkey Island. As you can see the story moved on from Ronnie's original plans over the span of three additional games of which only two bear mentioning. However, he managed to convince the media overlord Disney to let him try his hand at creating his own version of the third game that would casually reset the canon back to the where Le Chuck's Revenge left off. Over the spawn of two years, he and his team have worked in secret to create the game and in an earlier build of it, the idea was that our favourite pairing of the Elaine Marley, former Governor of the Tri-Island Area and Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate, would be on the verge of breaking up after years of being blissfully married. You can imagine that the testers they brought in weren't too happy to learn that Captain Gilbert was planning on sinking their ship and they made their outrage known. Ron saw the writing on the wall and wisely decided to compromise on his vision with what the fans wanted, as such he and his team switched gears and now aimed to find a way to canonize most of what fans loved about the games that came after the canonical two.

With all of this in mind, you can see why Discovery and Picard were not all that well received since they eschewed what fans loved about the franchise in favor of being generic Hollywood Action Dramas with so much angst about current sociopolitical events that they forgot that the Gene Roddenberry created an sociopolitical commentary that was dressed like an Science Fiction Adventure series who sought to educate people of moral values that can make all the difference for a brighter tomorrow. Alex sought to pitch his own personal tunnel vision to an audience that was tired of being stuck in a bleak world. In other words he was a bad worksman since he had no understanding of his tools nor the experience to select the best options. If he wanted to succeed he should have done what an entrepreneur would do and basically ask his audience about their lives and see what is missing from their day-to-day lives or what could be improved about it, but he learned that lesson too late in the game. To be fair to the guy, he did manage to get Strange, New Worlds close enough to what fans wanted that he could be excused for doing his best impression of a monkey that doesn't see or hear others. But enough bashing a dead horse, let's get to the fun part of the show. Let's get dangerous and create our retelling of Discovery's story in order to get it more in line with what we Trekkies would want. I would also give my two cents about Picard, but that show was soo out-of-continuity that I don't think even Alan Moore would know how to save it from damnation.

First things first, I will present some of the general headcanons that I think would have made more sense from a lore perspective and which justify the changes made to the original version of events. I think that the implication that the office of the Klingon Chancellor didn't exist before the ending of the season 1 finale contradicted too much lore established in Star Trek: Enterprise and therefore I prefer to think that the events that T'Kuvma set in motion were just a prelude to his ascendancy as Chancellor-Elect and the whole war would have been his chance to prove his worth to the Empire. I wilfully choose to ignore the existence of time crystals and the mushrooms hyperspace dimension and those are some hills that I will gladly die on since both are very poor plot devices that can easily be replaced with ideas taken from previous entries in the franchise, more on that later. On the subject of Michael Burnham, I think she and her mother were survivors of a Klingon raid on a research colony that claimed the lives of the rest of the family and in order to escape their trauma they ran all the way to Vulcan, where there wasn't that much of a human presence due to the Vulcan's passive aggressive form of xenophobia and as such whatever person from Earth who lived there was part of a very tight community. With that in mind and applying some childhood neglect on part of Michael's mother, it would make sense that she would spend a lot of time around Amanda Grayson's family to the point of being considered as part of it. Also the plot point of Control going rogue is a cliché that I chose to ignore and therefore Section 31 will simply become more like Cerberus from Mass Effect following the Klingon War. Got all of that? No? Good enough, we have a lot more ground to cover, but I think I ran out of space for this post and will most likely have to do a second one so stay tuned for that.

ACOTAR modern AU locations

(don’t ask me why but I have this terrifyingly specific assumption of what all their lives would be IRL and I won’t be taking questions at this time)

Rhys and Feyre - spend most of their time in Italy or the South of France, but technically own a penthouse in Chicago as well. Rhys is a real estate mogul so he can work anywhere and Feyre just feels artistically inspired by European design. The bat boys occasionally show up for spontaneous gambling weekends in Monaco.

Nesta and Cassian - New York (start out in a midtown high rise, but eventually move to a brownstone on the UWS because Nesta says the UES is too “trophy wife” for a corporate attorney, but she does love the views of the Hudson). Fav vacation destination is Singapore. The Archeron’s all grew up in NY and Nesta could never leave the city. Cassian claims he moved there for work, but he’s a design architect whose job is entirely remote so everyone knows he actually moved because of Nesta. Before they even started dating, naturally.

Azriel and Gwyn - Washington DC. She’s originally from Portland, went to university at Columbia (where she met Nesta), then got an internship at the White House and never looked back. Azriel (and all the bat boys) are originally from San Francisco, but he owns a surveillance company that the government bought out and pays him way too much money to “consult” on.

Elain and Lucien - Elain moved to Seattle after High School because “come on, a rain forest?? Right here in the US?? That’s where I belong!” and runs a flower shop in Pike Place. Lucien is originally from Brighton, England so the rain honestly feels like home. (They met when Elain did a semester abroad in university)

Emerie - also New York. Born and raised in Queens, left to go to school in Australia and she liked the sun, but she hated the too happy people. Moved to Brooklyn when she got back and now enjoys her fav pastime - not having to speak to her neighbours.

Mor - from Adelaide, Australia (had a hookup with Emerie in college but it didn’t last). She’s not good at staying in one place too long, so you can find her wherever she feels like that week.

Eris - also from Brighton, moved to Cambridge for school, and then settled in London.

Amren and Varian- Singapore (which is how Nessian discovered their fav vacation spot). Varian is originally from the Dominican Republic, but he moved a few different places for work before meeting Amren and settling in Singapore City.

Helion/ Day Court - the Caribbean generally, but Helion specifically is from St Lucia.

Thesan/ Dawn Court - Tonga

Tamlin/Spring Court - Ireland (I’m sorry I love Ireland don’t hate me for putting Tamlin here it is an objectively beautiful lush land and you can’t tell me Tamlin doesn’t have drunk Trinity College student energy)

Tarquin/ Summer Court - Dominican Republic like Varian obviously

Kalias & Vivienne/Winter Court - Northern Canada (I know you all probably wanted Alaska or Greenland or something, but I’ll die on this hill). Close enough to the States that they see the NC crew but not too close, they’re everyone’s “allies” but when fighting comes they pick a side, lots of wildlife and TONS of wide open spaces, plus yknow…. Freezing.
