a little bit about naila before i type up her full history and etc.

name: naila elaine pike

nickname: nai

age: 26-33 (verse dependent)

gender: cis female (she+her pronouns)

short history:

naila grew up extremely wealthy with three brothers that are all 6+ years older than her. she has a different mother than them and that caused some tension growing up between her mother, her brothers, and her brother's mother.

father was a ceo of pike pharmaceutical, so obviously he wasn't present for shit. that being said, he was a very loving father and put effort into making sure that naila (and her brothers) were always taken care of. her mother was more absent, but that was mostly because it was so uncomfortable for her to be around her husband's family. they were very judgmental of the age gap in the marriage.

she's never had any interest in the pharma industry, never liked the flashing lights or the money even though she does benefit highly from having a wealthy, privileged life.

not close with her brothers at all, knows very little about their lives and what they got up to. after their deaths, she finds out a lot of horrifying information that makes her despise them and her family as a whole.

naila wants to be a teacher, mostly likely for high school students and troubled youths and she has the attitude and mindset that she really wants to find kids that are floundering and ignored and slipping through the cracks and help them. this stems a lot from the fact that despite her lavish life and limitless resources, she grew up very lonely and isolated and didn't have anyone that she could really count on beyond a few close tutors. she went to private, elite schools that were full of people she never really fit in with.

her father poisons the family. he does this because there's an error in the pharma business that leads him to believe that they are going to be broke and the shame of this leads him to become a family annihilator. two of her three brothers and her mother are a victim of her father's poisoning, as is her father, and naila is left out of the murder/suicide because she's away for the evening at a charity benefit. this is a blessing, as she lives, but it also leads her to knowing that she was purposefully left out and severed from her family. it's fucked up, but she assumes that her father didn't love her enough to include her and want to protect her. this isn't true, her father left her alive because she was a bright star in his life and he couldn't imagine hurting her, but no note was left so naila never finds this out.

she is thrust into a roll of being a pharmaceutical company ceo per her father's will and though the company does lose millions of dollars, they are not in financial ruin and are still afloat. she truly has very little power because of the board members are in control of the company, which she prefers. in fact, naila would like nothing more than to finish up her college studies for becoming a teacher.
