Can we just talk about the Adrinette angst this season though? Because while I am living for Adrien realizing his feelings for Marinette, I am also dying inside.

Adrien loves Marinette because he perceives that she is a good friend that listens to him and offers him support and tries to cheer him up when his hellstorm of a home life gets him down. She is someone he trusts and actively seeks when he needs someone to talk to about his depression and worries and fears and desires. Name another time in canon when something with his home life was bothering him, and he immediately told someone exactly what was going on and how it was making him feel? That moment in Passion where he bumps into Marinette and immediately tells her he's feeling down and why is huge for someone who otherwise just buried his feelings before and didn't talk about them to anyone except his kwami that no one else knows about and who isn't equipped to help him with human stuff. Adrien's relationship with Marinette means so much to him, and he thinks so highly of her, is so comfortable with her, and cares for her so deeply.

And that's why Marinette forcing herself to abandon her feelings and run away from him is so fucking heartbreaking.

Adrien's home life is so shit, even when he perceives it to be getting better, we know what the adults in his life are up to. He knows the people he loves are mysteriously sick and probably dying. He's been emotionally neglected and abused, psychologically controlled, isolated, lied to, used. And now he finally has a person that he feels like he's safe with, someone he can let his guard down with and confide in, and she's running away from him for seemingly no reason in his eyes??

And before anyone types up some paragraph, this is not salt directed at Marinette. Anyone who has followed me for any length of time knows I would never, so go ahead and hit that backspace because we the audience know why she is doing what she's doing. Marinette has her own share of trauma and guilt that she shouldn't have ever had to deal with. It's also not her job to coddle Adrien, so go ahead and shut the fuck up. I get it. But from a narrative perspective, the angst is just so perfectly heartbreaking, and I just want to hug them both because they love each other but are just dealing with so much shit outside of their control right now that it's impossible for them to be together. I'm really curious for the kwamis choice episodes bc we get to explore what would happen if they suddenly didn't have the weight of the world coming between them, and I'm screaming, crying, throwing up at the fluff possibilities but also knowing it will inevitably end bc they will have to go back to their responsibilities after having a taste of what could be, and I know it's going to destroy me emotionally. ��😥💔

Anyway, these kids will be the death of me, and I am living for the day that they finally know each other's identities and kiss each other on the mouth knowing that information and knowing that they've been there by each other's side the whole time and how deeply they both love each other. This season is gonna fuck me up, and I'm going to say thank you. Anyway, that's all I just have a lot of feelings about them rn.

I've been tagged by quite a few people now (thank you @twig-tea @colourme-feral @slayerkitty and @telomeke!) and in the past I've been too busy to complete these kinds of things but even though I'm still busy now, I figured I ought to do it this time...and if I don't do it now it won't get done. So, I'ma do it in 15 mins. Let's go!

Current activity: I've just returned to my hotel room after having had breakfast. Hash Browns and Baked Beans ftw!! (<- How to tell someone you're British without telling them you're British 😂).

Currently thinking about: All the things that need to be done today - I'm away for work and I need to prep some stuff before leaving the hotel to go pick up some food for lunch because I won't have time to pop out later, and then I have to go to the location for today's work event and I basically won't stop until after it finishes tonight at 21:30 ish. (And somehow squeeze in Dangerous Romance somewhere there...maybe during my dinner break...or maybe I'll have to wait until afterwards when I'm back in the hotel again...but the internet is patchy at best - so if you don't hear me posting about it, it's because I won't be watching it until tomorrow evening 😭)

Current favourite song: This is so hard to pick just one! Okay, Until Then by Tilly Birds. I've known of the band since the Bad Buddy days but never really listened to their albums until Only Friends started airing and I discovered I'm Not Boring, You're Just Bored which made me go to their albums and now I'm a fan of more of their work.

Currently reading: I've said it before but I basically live in the Bad Buddy fandom on ao3. All other books are collecting dust on my bedside table, unread and unloved this whole year 😥

Currently watching: Not much actually since a lot finished airing recently. So, Dangerous Romance, Kiseki Dear to Me and You Are Mine. I've been waiting on english subs for the final episode of Love in Translation but it's been so long I might not bother anymore. And I paused I Feel You Linger in the Air before ep 9 and I'm waiting until the last ep has aired before I go back to it. I need to know if it's going to have a happy ending before I continue because it was SO beautiful but also SO heartbreaking and I was just scared all the time for the characters (someone tell me if it ends happily for all our couples!).

Currently NOT watching and Sad About It So I've Had To Block The Tags: Shadow the series, My Gangster Oppa, and I Cannot Reach You (and maybe a few others I can't remember - I might not be able to watch Red Peafowl for the same reason) - all mainly because they're on platforms I don't subscribe to.

Current favourite character: I think Chen Yi and Ai Di (the Taiwanese Pat and Pran basically) - the one who realises his feelings late and goes ALL IN and the the other who has pined FOR YEARS and can't quite believe he finally gets to HAVE HIS DREAM. They own my whole heart.

Not me scrolling thru your arcane tags and coming across the isekai reader universe. Fantastic showstopping no notes but I DO have deep concerns about the readers immune system. Will the reader’s summer cold knock Viktor on his ass? Do they even have vaccines?? Can we MAKE VACCINES HAPPEN? Do they even have germ theory???? Or the inverse: is the cough syrup in runeterra straight morphine? How fucked is the reader/lovable plague rat and how do our favourite cast members deal with it?

We had reached the consensus that Reader ends up in Isolation on the Council's orders, due to them being suspected of being an agent of the Void. If they carry unknown virii and accidentally end up killing someone via contagion, they would 100% be put in quarantine - to Viktor's rage and heartbreak.

At which point it makes even more sense that Vik would try to smuggle them into Zaun (a petri dish where the vaccine is Shimmer) under Silco's (false) reassurances of safe passage (turns out unlike Piltover, Zaunites are Immune to Patient-Zero Reader).

Cue Reader's corruption arc but also Viktor's Machine Herald era to rid his fragile flesh of ailment to rescue Reader... Only to lose his humanity in the process 😥

✨️ 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐞 is a crybaby ... & while they HAVE gotten better at processing their emotions they still tend to cry whenever they experience overwhelming emotions (positive & negative) 😥

✨️ They're rarely seen without their mama's 𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵 around their neck

✨️ As much as they love their aunt, they're still painfully aware (even as a very young child) that she is NOT a true replacement for their mama

✨️ They absolutely adore both of their brothers ... even if 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 can be a bit patronizing & 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐭 is emotionally distant at times 🙃

✨️ 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐞 has massive abandonment issues (their biggest fear is that EVERYONE they love is going to leave them eventually ... & they'll be alone again) which leads to some not-so-healthy thoughts & behaviour patterns (nothing “extreme” or “harmful” to the other party though ... mainly just to themselves)

✨️ Despite being so small, 𝐏𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧 often functions as their “emotional support bird” 💕🐤

✨️ 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐞'𝐬 favourite hobby is dancing (ballet, ballroom, etc.), not only does it keep them fit & quick on their feet, it's also A LOT of fun for them

✨️ They're a “smile through the pain” kind of person (unless someone knows them & their queues well, it's hard to tell when they're actually upset) 🥲

✨️ 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐞 loved their time at the 𝐼𝑚𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑙 𝑈𝑛𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑦 & hopes to continue their studies, as well as the research they were assisting with, in the future

Omg this episode was good but it hurt so much! 😭 We got Crosshair back but at what cost? 🥲

I'm gonna write this as I rewatch the episode so let's go!

The opening is so bleak, especially with the soundtrack and the sepia hue that everything in the opening shot has.

Seeing clones being forced out of their role hurts. 😭

Love how we all thought that it was going to be a clone Lieutenant.

It wasn't. It was a fucking arsehole instead. 😡

Ugh, I missed Crosshair so much. 😭

Mayday's beard is ✨️ fabulous ✨️

Also a clone named Mayday? That's just asking for him to get into trouble. 😭

Why do I recognise the name Veetch??? Have we heard it before or am I just making stuff up now???

I knew something was going to happen to Mayday but let's be real, we all fell in love with him in under half a second. 🥲

I can see why DBB loved him!

The slight hesitation before he said "Crosshair". 🥲 Cody was the last person to use his name. It probably still throws him off when people actually want to use it.

So errr.... hahaha... ha... ouch...

This episode was so good but omg it was so painful! People weren't kidding when they said "bleak" and "heartbreaking". ☹️

I can see why DBB loved Mayday so much. He was great! I knew it wouldn't end well for him but it's impossible not to love him. But the fact that Crosshair collapsed before he could bury him means that he was probably still left to the vultures. 😭 It's poignant really. The clones don't get a heroic end. After everything they did, the Empire are just gonna cast them out and leave them to rot...

And Crosshair! 😭 That man was in so much turmoil this episode. Him opening up to Mayday just the tiniest fraction by telling him his name and squadron. The quiet fear when he stepped on the pressure mine. The panic when he was covered by the avalanche. The panic when he dug himself out. The fear when he found Mayday. The anguish as he carried Mayday all the way back. The heartbreaking pain when they were huddled up and shivering. The desperation when he asked for them to get a medic. The anguish of "help him". The panic when he knows that they're going to leave Mayday for the vultures. The pure, visceral, seething rage when he kills Nolan. The pain when he collapses. The fear and delirium when he wakes up in the lab. It's all too much.

And what breaks my heart even more is the close up of his face after he collapses. He looks asleep, calm. The only time in this entire episode when he actually looks peaceful is when he's passed out from exhaustion!

This man is going through it so badly and it's so painful to watch. I'm scared to see what's going to happen to him but if the later episodes are of the same quality as this one then the end of this season is going to be incredible.

we don't see exactly How cxs starts falling, but we can see it happens right after he claps hands with lu guang, the latter looking like a glitch/not really there 🤨 that's cruel

then later qiao ling, emma and the new hottie look at him as he falls, and later we can see a shot of those three plus lu guang watching him fall and fall. cxs reaches out but it's useless (pls this is heartbreaking) the feeling of helpness while cxs falls is conveyed throughout the whole video it almost gives me vertigo

and i want to point out WHY has this new hottie also got yellow eyeeeeees ????? does it have something to do with cxs's powers or those are his normal eyes or

there's also this, qiao ling looking at him and then turning around 😢 no don't be like that

super slow-mo of this scene because is marvellous and delicious to watch. there are so many little details and the transitions are so SMOOTH it's glorious.

cxs/pink teddy literally falling into the metal claws(from the toy machine) = getting caught by red-eyes. meaning red-eyes is kind of controlling him or he *will* be controlled in future episodes or at some point 🤔😥

that's all i've got, just unloading some silly thoughts. i love it yet hate it at the same time

cxs live happily ever after you only deserve love and happiness pls stop suffering it's hurting me

once again this opening is by far my most favourite of all and the song is incredibly good, today i saw the behind the scenes/making of the music and what can i say, they're all so talented and they sound amazing. it took them about a year to finish the song and it turned out beautifully, kudos to all the people who worked together to make this masterpiece, im in love

on another hand, i'm soooo enjoying the donghua and this second season started off tense and full of action which i LOVED, the animation is smoooooth and i was so relieved to see lu guang was alive😢 i mean he couldn't possibly die but anyways. definitely my favourite part were the action scenes 11/10 but qiao ling's "what i need is your trust!" made my chest HURT okay it physically hurt. god.

the second episode ended in a cruel cliffhanger 😃 i try to get used to it, but nope. btw the ED song melting with the ending of the episodes always sounds spectacular.

i'm really looking forward to the next episode, i can't wait for red-eyes revelation 🤔 and i pray that nothing bad happens to lu guang (again) i think i saw blood when he was walking to lock the door :(( you need rest bby

Whoever made the decision in Heart of Invictus to follow the Ukrainian team struck the most heartbreaking documentary goldmine, honestly.

I really enjoy all the rest of the documentary, following these people, who got hurt and now fight their way back into a normal civilian life. Their struggles and hardships are interesting as is and would've made for an amazing and inspiring documentary on their own … but seeing the Ukraine team living their lives, training, being happy all while seeing that countdown get closer to the Invasion is devastating. I've only been able to get through two episodes because constantly I need breaks to stop crying lol.

I've finished the series, and I'll admit that I've shed some tears on more than one occasion. I didn't think that it would be such an emotional docu- series, but as you've said, some parts of it were heartbreaking.

So much of the story within Team Ukraine was equal parts inspiring and sad. The loss of their coach, the team watching and worrying about the on-going war at home while trying to compete and represent their country.

The story of the mother and daughter was also one of my favorites. Watching the daughter being surrounded by the cheerful crowd while she's worried about her mom and likely thinking to herself, "My mom should be here to experience this." 😥😥

William was completely heartbroken about his baby girl but he had to push aside his grief for Leonora.

Zola and Chris reunite romantically YEARS after Emi’s death. Amelia didn’t have anything to say about it - and Zola worked really hard to help repair Chris and his kids relationships.

Yes, the Grimalldis were hit really hard back to back. First Eleanor and then her sweet Ingrid 😭😭 That was the hardest thing to write. Her and Jacob leaving Leonora an orphan.

Milian and Laurie grew closer after the plane crash, They both loved their sister.

Yes, I knew Ingrid was going to have a short life. I didn’t know until recently that her daughter would one day be Queen. It just felt right.

yeah, i was shocked when I first learned Daria planned on emi having a short life 🤧 though it could change if she ever comes back but from what I remember Emi was going to die young. Chris growing distant from the kiddos because he felt guilty he survived while their mother did not was also something she was toying with and I decided to go with it because that would be the one thing he could never imagine doing. Being an absent father like his own was. Yet, his grief got in the way.

Preshuffle: I’m getting a self-taught energy from you. Something really lights your fire, gets you excited, you genuinely like this topic, feels like something practical or work related. Like idk botany 🪴 You’ve applied some kind of action into this, you’ve taken the steps to learn as much as you possibly can…but there’s a block, a plateau, it could be you’ve learned everything you can *fo’ free* and now you’re either being cheap because fk that or you genuinely can’t afford to continue your education on this thing. With your eyebrow raised 🤨 I’m not sure if this is regarding “the system”, Hierophant energy of “this is the way”, education on its own, could even be political with the eagle for those from the US. You’re free of it, or separate from that, maybe just want to be. This can go deep deep, but the point is it wasn’t your thing. Or you’re skeptical.

You’re being led back towards your path, have faith - in whatever you want to believe in or don’t. Maybe you’ve graduated, or a romantic partner has, and you’re helping pay loans. If not a gift (shown as given to you) then it’s a loan you’re taking out…maybe for the second time. Whatever this situation is, it’s not the first time you’ve dealt with this. Or some of you may be getting a lump sum of money and just spending it frivolously instead of on the things that it needs to be spent on, like student loans.

555 on the clock as I start this row…conflicts. Even if it’s inward, and it looks like yours is. You could have put someone else first for a long time, or again worked within a team dynamic. You and a partner, group, romantic, friendly, family, whoever. You never really thought about yourself or what you wanted because you didn’t want that at the time, or maybe never thought you’d be on your own. This could’ve lasted a long time, I’m seeing a sibling for someone, maybe an actual twin or that’s the vibe. Or a whole family, a whole office, a close-knit pair or group that didn’t act individually. One affects all, that’s your mentality. Even this Queen of Wands rev, upright, she is confident in herself, focused on the SELF, Aries energy. You’re not like that or never had to be, but now you have to be for any number of reasons.
