very specific thought I have sometimes when I online shop: deku likes to buy your clothes for you. not in a weird, controlling way really—he just has certain….visions of you in the things he sees. and he’s a little obsessive on his worse day, and he knows he won’t ever get the image of you in those pants if he doesn’t buy them for you immediately.

he’s a little bit of an idiot though, is scammed damn near every week because instagram wont stop promoting those websites that sell all might themed undies and those knee highs with his own face plastered all over them. he says it’s worth it though, when the clothing comes and he surprises you with them with the hope of a fashion show.

he sits on the side of the bed, biting at his thumb nail, staring at your moving shadow from under the en-suite bathroom door. he brought you a baby blue dress with fluffy white buttons up the chest, a matching corset that he’s waiting to tie up, the bunny ears that came with it, and a pair of blue boots with fuzzy ears on top. it’s ridiculous, you told him the moment he showed it to you. I’m not some show pony, you poke at him when you take the clothes in hand. You’re just a perv, you mutter as you close the bathroom door behind you, ready to try it all on.

And you feel so stupid when you come out, all fuzzy and blue, ready to ask if you should hop over to him. But Izuku looks damn near in awe, eyes rounded and his hands in the air, reaching out for you, quietly telling you to turn around for him. You don’t expect for him to rush over to you, to hook his chin over your shoulder, to whisper about how pretty you are, for his warm and large hands to tie the corset so gently, that your breath stutters from his closeness.

“You like it?” You ask him, looking at him from under your lashes, watch how his big emerald eyes damn near sparkle as he takes you all in. Izuku hesitates before he answers with a nod, guilty eyes fluttering over to another unopened box you hadn’t seen by the door.

“I think the whole outfit will be complete with one last finishing touch.” He murmurs, doesn’t let your turn in his hold, grabs you tight against him as he hides his warmed cheeks in your neck.

“Which is?” You hum, swaying a little, letting the high skirt of the dress tug up even higher against the very obvious bulge resting at the curve of your ass. Izuku pauses for a moment, before he whispers into your skin,

“A bunny tail butt plug. Just for the aesthetic.” He tacks the last part on quickly, seals it with a kiss against your jaw, groans a little when you gasp. You eye the package now, suddenly interested in this little get up, finally understanding his pervy little methods. You smile though, wide, and stroke the hand resting around your stomach, the other carding through Izuku’s thick locks.

“Just for the aesthetic.” You agree and, you swear, you feel his entire body tremble behind you.

BNHA Men when You Have A Near Death Experience During a Mission

Pairing: Izuku Midoriya, Bakugo Katsuki, Shoto Todoroki, Eijiro Kirishima x Reader

A/N: Time for some angst! Hope you're ready to get punched in the feels.

Izuku never wanted to see you like that, on the ground and bleeding, broken. You can feel his tears falling onto your face, you can hear his cries, telling you to hold on that you'll be okay, you'll get fixed up in no time just hold on. In the following days he can't let go of the sight, his mind won't let him forget seeing you like in that state. When you get out of the hospital you notice that he's more quiet then usual, still sticking close to you but unsure what to say to you. If he was stronger then maybe you he could have watched your back better. So... will you train with him? Like a date. It's odd to count that as a date but he was always a weird boyfriend, in an adorable way.

"It might be sudden, you just got out of the hospital but I really want to get stronger. I haven't been sleeping well since then, every time I close my eyes the nightmares come rushing in. I want to get stronger, be able to stand by your side. Then, do we have a date?"

Bakugo is the guy who will blame himself for you getting hurt but he will do it in the angriest way possible and actually make it seem like he's blaming everyone else. Needs to carry you to the hospital on his own, even if he himself is badly injured. If anyone so much as tries to touch you he will get aggressively protective, holding you closer to his chest in retaliation. The moment you open your eyes his mouth is on yours, his hands cupping your injured cheeks with the gentleness most doubt he could possess. He can't stay for long but for the time he can he doesn't want his hands to not be on you, he needs to know that you're okay.

"Fucking messed up back there. Don't give me that, you know I did! You could have died you idiot! Look... I'm not the best guy but you... you bring out a better side of me, I don't want to lose you. I can be sappy when I wanna. Keep your mouth shut about it or I'll shut it with mine."

Shoto never wants to know what it feels like to lose a person he loves. There have already been so many close calls in his life, and now it's happening again. You keep telling him you'll be fine but how can you say that when you're loosing so much blood. The hall outside of your room in the hospital is in a constant flux of too hot and too cold because his emotions are all over the damn place right now. Seeing you awake calmed him down a little but it's not until he feels your hand in his pulling him next to you and letting him listen to your heartbeat that he truly calms down. It's a little cramped in the hospital bed but if you don't mind it then he'll stay like this.

"How could it have been worse? You almost died there. I never want to think about a worst outcome. I want to stay by your side forever, I want to go to sleep and wake up while listening to your heartbeat just like I am now. In a bigger bed of course."

Eijiro had never been so angry in his life. At those who almost killed you yes but also at himself. He's your boyfriend, he should have payed more attention to what was going on around the two of you. Now you're bedridden in a hospital, unable to move without it causing pain. You'll heal but what happened will always haunt his mind. Because visiting hours have their limits he thinks it wouldn't be a problem to sneak in through the window, bring you flowers and snacks to make you feel better. You spend many hours talking, kissing, even long periods of silence. He eventually falls asleep in his chair and in the morning has to run right as he hears the door handle turn.

"Brought you flowers and your favorite snacks. I don't want you eating yucky hospital food. Are you doing better? Did you... see me when you... sorry, I don't like being that way, but when I saw you like that I lost it. I will smash through anything and anyone to keep you safe."

I'm sorry to the people who like Bakugou and don't act like this. Y'all really get bad representation lmao.

But let's talk about this. I don't know about my fellow antis, but my dislike of Bakugou has nothing to do with his popularity. Sure, his stans can be annoying- as OP so kindly demonstrated for us- but if that was the case I'd hate characters like Gojo or Levi and I don't have problems with either of them.

I've stated my reasons for disliking Bakugou (many times in fact) but even if OP read them, he would just claim that I "don't know shit about the BHNA manga's core emotional story" (this is so unhinged omg). That's always the defense Bakugou stans fall back on, that we somehow don't understand the story simply because we interpreted it different than they did. They use it to shutdown any actual arguments against Bakugou's character.

Let's be clear, it was a shitty decision for Bakugou to survive. Not because he's alive (I don't want him dead), but the bullshit way they brought him back. The Jeart wasn't only stupid, the #4 hero was scarified to do it. Edgeshot should have been doing something more important than simply being around just to bring Bakugou back. If it was any other character Horikoshi would not have sacrificed a top 5 hero for them. But because it's his golden boy, everyone around Bakugou must cater to him.

I shouldn't be surprised with someone who tagged "pro shipper safe," but it astounds me how willing BakuDeku shippers are to admit they support a toxic ship. If Izuku wouldn't be able to go on without Bakugou, that's a problem because life answers to no one and they risk their lives every day. All this claim does is reinforce the fact that they're codependent on one another, which is a bad thing especially considering Bakugou was his abuser (even if he wasn't, it still wouldn't be healthy). If Izuku could no longer go on without Bakugou (he 100% could, your weird headcanons aren't fact), then he couldn't call himself a hero

The best part? Izuku has a whole All Might shrine in his room, but he like. Probably doesnt know that much about him? At least not more than a casual fan would. That is so amusing to me. Biggest All Might fanboy didnt know he lived in America for years, more at seven.

Izuku goes to I-island and is like "HOLY SHIT ALL MIGHT'S EX GAY LOVER? ALL MIGHT QUEER CANON???" and like quietly asks Melissa if they are her biological parents or something.

"touchdown japan," you whispered as you and hela went to go get your luggages. it's been, what, ten years? so much seemed the same but you knew that everything had changed since you left.

"it's so weird being back in japan,"  hela said, thanking the guard for their help with your luggage.

truth be told, you weren't that dense. back at UA, while you were pining over midoriya (barf), you knew about bakugou's feelings but didn't really think much about it until after graduation and you left to go to america. by then, it was too late to confront him, and by now, you were just used to not thinking about it, you guess. he never really said anything and then, before you knew it, it's been ten years since. besides, it's fun to mess with him and your friends!

hela, on the other hand, was only the one to know about you knowing and was the one to realized you returned the blond's feelings at some point of you moving on from midoriya…well, he was there, it wasn't hard. but, because of this, hela couldn't stop teasing you about him. however, now is not the time to think back about your relationship with bakugou. not when you'd be seeing midoriya in a few days, it's not the fucking time, y/n.

snapping a picture of each other, you tweeted it with the caption, touchdown. knowing how fast news circulates, especially in social media, you hurried with hela to meet your best friends. you couldn't help but feel nervous, though, at the thought of seeing bakugou that your heart kept thundering. because, for the first time in ten years, you'd be seeing one of your bestest friends and someone you admittedly had feelings for before. god, was this terrifying.

you grinned as you saw them holding a placard with your and hela's names, laughing as a pink blur ran, barreling into you. you choked on your laughter as mina crashed into you, hugging you tight. "y/n, i missed you so much!"

tears sprung in your eyes as your hands wrapped around her torso. "i missed you too, mina."

hela was right. ten years was too long. you laughed wetly as the others crowded you and hela, welcoming you back. kaminari and sero kissed your cheeks once mina let you go, making you grin widely as you hugged them. you also missed kirishima's toothy smile as he hugged you, then kissed your forehead and pat your head.

bakugou…well, bakugou was hanging back, staring at you. his heartbeat fastened its pace, fuck. it's been ten year, but he knew that it was still you, it will always be you. he finally breathed after a while, watching silently as you exchanged tearful welcomes with the squad. he caught hela's eyes, who looked knowingly. he scoffed, finally avoiding her eyes. 

your eyes traveled to bakugou's form, a smile forming once more on your lips when you saw him. you let them introduce themselves to hela as you approached him, tapping his shoulder because he wasn't looking.

"hi, kats." you smiled sweetly, bakugou couldn't help but curse inside as he looked at you, pretending that he wasn't affected by seeing you again in person. "i missed you."

his ears reddened as he huffed. you chuckled, opening your arms to invite him to a hug. he rolled his eyes but opened his arms as well, enclosing you in a hug. warm. you could vaguely hear your friends taking pictures, but you couldn't care less. he breathed you in, his hug tightening as he whispered, "i missed you too, clown-ass."

"not that i want to interrupt whatever this is," bakugou glared at kirishima, who gestured towards them and laughed. "but, we got company."

many civilians were staring, their phones on you two. you grinned, waving as bakugou glared, pulling you quickly. "get their luggage, shitheads. let's go."

you're finally home. now, to face midoriya.

So to ramble-recap the My Hero Creed fusion concept:

Assassins and Templars are a thing. Pieces of Eden and Isu are. Abstergo is a thing, potentially defunct (or their Animus project research group at least) by the time Desmond reaches Japan. The Solar Flare was stopped but Desmond survived using the Eye and its not clear if anyone tried taking credit or if people were like "okay that was weird but we're good and hey why's a bunch of people (Templars) hiding in fallout shelters BEFORE the flare hit what the hell did you do". Eagle Vision either doesn't count as a quirk or maybe it does because Quirks Are Bullshit and the "cult commune" Assassins just NOPED out of reporting who had a "quirk" because the Templars are in the government NOPE.

AFO has or is about to get a Piece. Going by the Nomu hunting Desmond likely knows something about the Templar/Assassin war (although how much is unclear). Eraserhead is hunting the apparently false charges terrorist not-villain who some high up in Abstergo likely claimed was an cultist assassin who murdered one of their lead researchers. Which considering Humarise might be a thing if the movies are canon is a whole other pack of worrying statements.

Eraserhead has at the very least Midnight and Present Mic in cahoots in catching the "weird foreign maybe-vigilante maybe-secret agent". Nedzu knows a lot about "Subject 17" from his own illegal hacking and independent research but it's unclear if he bothered to tell them yet, if only to keep them from Freaking Out Desmond with their knowledge. Going by the run-ins it is possible that Desmond has been in Japan longer than a month, but no shorter than a week.

And Desmond picks up Izuku as a not-assassin student pinning the concept's events taking place about a year before Izuku starts at U.A. High. Which... raises questions on how often the Nomu are sent after Desmond or if they're less "brain exposed Nomu" and more like those Vigilante Bomber/Anonymous things which were a thing about a year to three before Izuku is on the rooftop. Aizawa's not gonna be happy if he hears those things are still around. Or have something like them but more 'creative' if they are Nomu-Nomu. AFO is wasting/risking a lot to get Desmond which means he KNOWS the value that Desmond is ("quirk", arm, blood...).

Also the concept gravitates to Desmond/Aizawa. Not sure if Desmond/Aizawa/Hizashi but definitely Desmond/Aizawa. And Nedzu apparently ships Aizawa/Desmond.

The concept of Desmond having a quirk all along that he either didn’t know about/never really talked about becuase of being trained on the farm to never give information to anyone is really funny whether that is eagle vision or more hilariously something that makes him more susceptible to Isu tech/seeing ghosts/etc.

As for timeline wise it will probably extend from the year before Izuku is accepted into UA through canon (I mean non animus reliant training and funded pieces of Eden at best based off of a map/memories/etc centuries out of date takes time) so while Des might not be hunted by Nomu at the start he is certainly hunted by several heroes who see him as a sort of odd vigilante/a civilian that NEEDS TO STOP JUMPING OFF OF BUILDINGS. The Nomu come later after he has foiled a few plans up to and possibly including yoinking at least one piece of Eden out from under AfO’s lack of a nose.

I’m definitely leaning towards Aizawa/desmond for this one. There’s just something about a grumpy tired and feral tired together that is incredibly compelling to me. Well that and “flirting through the most extreme game of tag” is also very funny

what are you counting as straightbait?

the definition of straightbait in this tournament is intentionally very loose, and the poll question is also vague on purpose (is it celebratory or derogatory? who knows). i've accepted submissions with more obvious examples of "straightbait", such as cases where m/f couples are teased but never get together or are revealed to be queer. however, i've also accepted couples where they have some kind of weird fucking thing going on that could be interpreted a number of ways but isn't straightforward canonical m/f romance, "buried straights" who die after romance is confirmed, and a number of other things. i go more into this tournament's definition of straightbait here and here.

why is this couple in the tournament if they get together canonically?

see above. in most cases where this question comes up, we're talking about buried straights. if the characters in question are queer, it is straightbait at least partially by virtue of those characters not being straight. and if neither of the above, the answer you are looking for will be in the propaganda.

you're free to argue about the validity of a straightbait in the tags, amongst yourselves, or in propaganda, but please don't come to me about whether a bait should or shouldn't be in the tournament. their inclusion on this blog + submitted propaganda speaks for itself

what is The Policy?

sometimes i rb propaganda posts that i tag with #as per The Policy. the policy says that any time i encounter a post on my dash that is related to one of the pairs in this tournament such that it could be used as propaganda, i have to reblog it.

how were the matchups decided?

i sorted all my submissions into popularity tiers, then randomized matchups within each tier, so characters were matched up with others with equal or similar popularity to the best of my ability. tiers were based on how many submissions a pair received and how well they did in the singles tournament. there were five or six tiers in total, although it's been long enough since i made the bracket that i do not remember the exact number

what is the singles tournament?

the singles tournament was a preliminary tournament that i ran for every pairing or character that was only submitted once, hence "singles". i only automatically qualified straightbaits with more than one submission, so i did this to allow more submissions to enter the main tournament. also a chance to see your blorbo in a poll at least once, even if they didn't qualify

what should i do if you've gotten something wrong?

send me an ask or a message, or leave me a comment! if you send an ask, please specify if you want me to answer it privately, as i will answer publicly by default. although be advised if i've made a typo in a poll option or poll title, i cannot edit it

got another bot-spam comment on ao3, but this one is extra weird. let’s do some investigating!

for those not in the know, The Haunting is my dark whumpy “todoroki gets adopted by aizawa” fic. it’s also 60k words long. so right away i’m doubting this person read it. that plus the generic vibes? bot comment. but i’m also pretty sure i’ve heard of this channel before, specifically because it wasn’t crediting authors. hm. so i go check it out: http://www.youtube.com/@DnWhatIf

first of all, these are the videos i’m greeted with:

now, i don’t want to bash anyone’s taste, but this is so extremely not my thing. nooooo way. some of these read more like crackfic, which is fine, but tonally the difference is SO much. and just makes it even more glaringly obvious that they aren’t reading the fics they’re spamming or even giving them a cursory once-over (or putting strong filters on the bot? i’m not clear how bot comments work)

because this is the first thing you see about The Haunting:

i’m guessing, if it wasn’t completely random, it’s the fact that i tagged izuku as a character. and really it’s just lazy, the whole thing. it’s all bots. ai art in the thumbnail, ai voice reading the fic, bot making comment spam for you. zero respect. if this was an actual podficcer i would consider it! hell, i might even accept ai voice readings (MAYBE), if it was obvious there was a human person who cared behind them. it could certainly be a tool for good, since podficcing isn't very common (we love you podficcers. if i had a little bit more confidence i would be one of you).

but anyway, hang on, lets back up a step, because the whole reason i looked into this was the credits issue. the video “what if deku became a teacher at ua” (ugh) (i hate the title gimmick also) is going to be my guinea pig.

so in the little intro (also done by ai), it says “all credits to their respective authors” which, yikes. however, they do link to their permission statement and the fic in the description, so it….could be worse. but also, these are the comments

the channel name also has a 4.0 after it [edit: it did when i started this post, then i got distracted for two days, and now it is gone. hm], which implies they’ve had a lot of trouble with keeping it up. so it seems likely that this is the channel i heard about stealing fics, they just finally learned to get permission and give credit to try and keep it up this time. the permission statement on this video is real (i wondered if they would just link to something else and assume no one would check), but even THAT author references being “freaked out” (positive?? unsure) when they heard of people finding their story on youtube. before giving permission to upload with credit. so that’s not great

also this sludgepit of content is absolutely the thing that attracts people with no patience clamoring for updates literally one day after the video goes up. go figure. bad vibes all around.

also, if you’re wondering about the quality of the reading (i’ve stumbled on some pretty good ai voices as of late!), it’s, uh. i don’t actually know about how all this works, but i feel like when you pick a voice to read a story it should at least be able to approximate character name pronunciation. and flow.

but alas.

i also don't want to bash the authors in question but the truth is from the very minimal poking around i did (not giving this channel any more of my time than absolutely necessary), the writing featured is....mediocre at best. which is fine and good for the fandom ecosystem and i will NEVER be anything but happy that people are writing and posting less-than-perfect works, especially since some of these premises are pretty unique and i think it's better to have the fic than not. we all start somewhere, fanfic is an excellent way to practice and get feedback at the same time, etc.

but these channels, these kinds of operations, they're going to prey on new and young authors and that's who is going to be saying yes to them. because they want the exposure, they want to be told their work is good enough for someone else to care to record it for youtube, they haven't been around long enough to recognize this for what it is: someone taking extreme shortcuts to get views and likes and a bit of notoriety off of other people's work. and that's shit.

and remember that youtube videos can be monetized!

now, i doubt this channel in particular has been monetized, although it does meet the minimum requirements as far as numbers go:

especially with the disclaimer in the beginning that the content is not their own--which might be why previous versions of the channel did not give credit. who knows.

however, youtube DID just have some scandals about people making videos that were pretty much entirely plagiarized, which were monetized, so i don't have the highest hopes in the world. still, it doesn't seem monetized, so no strikes against this particular creator for that, at least, but defo something to look out for if anyone ever brings up hosting podfics on youtube.

so yeah, bot spam, not a complete scam this time but definitely really sketchy, bad vibes all around. and i still kind of want to give them permission to use my fic just to see what would happen, lmao

My mind naturally drifted to a very Cain-like scenario so forgive me.

Izuku’s pre-ua training ends up very similar to Cain, with Katsuki tagging along and cleaning the beach alongside him. Difference is that he spends most of his time ‘babysitting’ Izuku, trying to cut him off when he tries to move something he doesn’t think he can handle, or generally trying to talk him out of the whole operation. He also has no idea that the weird skeleton man overseeing them is All Might so Katsuki isn’t trying to prove anything other than that Izuku is wasting his time. A quirkless person can’t be a hero, no matter how hard they train.

Katsuki does also try to separate izuku and all might via Inko, telling her some weirdo is making her son pick up trash. Yagi’s cover story is that he’s an old quirkless personal trainer that believes in Izuku’s ambition, but Bakugou assumes he’s a creep trying to take advantage of weak, gullible Izuku. She assumed Katsuki was Izuku’s only friend and that his quiet demeanor was a result of everyone else bullying him for being quirkless, Katsuki’s words of course. Words Izuku never refuted. However, Katsuki’s constant trying to insert himself into Midoriya business as if he has authority over him, not to mention how much more Izuku perks up when it’s just Yagi there, gets some gears turning in Inko’s head about what’s really been going on all these years.

Katsuki almost makes a scene at the entrance exams. He finds Aizawa looking over orientation and warns him that weakling Izuku will die if they let him try out. Katsuki also strong-armed Izuku into applying for gen-ed so he could still keep an eye on him at UA. He makes a scene for real when he doesn’t find Izuku waiting for him outside the front gates like he told him to after. He goes straight to the Midoriya apartment and demands to be let in, ranting at Inko about how stupid Deku ditched him and could have gotten attacked by a villain again without Katsuki to protect him. But Izuku isn’t there. He stayed at UA a little longer to get treatment for his injuries. Inko calmly but firmly asks him to leave, telling him that she plans to call him mother to make sure he goes home.

That doesn’t stop him from chewing a numb Izuku out when they go back to school. Double so when they get their acceptance letters. Katsuki runs the gambit of emotions, from rage that Izuku has been faking being quirkless all this time just to waste his time, to betrayal that he did the exam behind his back when Katsuki told him not to. Izuku finally asks for one good reason he should do what he says. Katsuki tries to argue that Izuku doesn’t know what’s good for him, to which Izuku counters that quirklessness isn’t tied to intelligence. But what about everything Katsuki has done for him? Like isolate him? Manipulate him? Call him worthless every day of the week like he’s doing him a favor? Izuku declares that he has someone who believes in him for real now, and that he doesn’t need Katsuki anymore. Not that he ever did. And Katsuki uses his quirk on Izuku for the first time since they were children, blasting him in the side of the head. Then he runs away.

In an unprecedented power move, Izuku, sporting a new haircut to get rid of the singed ends, pretends not to know Katsuki on the first day of class. It’s not a particularly convincing act, but it’s enough to set everyone else on edge about Katsuki’s attempts to reestablish their dynamic. When the other kids try and step in, he accuses him of replacing him. That shifts to yelling about how he could have gotten in to UA without a quirk. Everyone else that was in Izuku’s exam group act like Katsuki is that much crazier. When he finally sees Izuku’s new quirk for himself, he again shouts about being lied to for ten years. Izuku whispers that maybe he did.

Magical girl au for the ask game

Fun fact! Magical Girl Midoriya Izuku is an actual tag on Ao3! I just think that's interesting.I’ll also be using the term ‘magical warrior’ in place of magical girl because it’s not locked to girls in-universe, much like how Sailor Moon has Tuxedo Mask. But also like Tuxedo Mask, you only get one.

Midoriya is on his way home from school after his confrontation with Bakugou about the career forms when he hears some noises coming out of a nearby alley. He investigates to find a girl in a frilly dress fighting a weird monster thing.

The girl gets somewhat distracted by him being able to see this fight happening and goes down hard. Midoriya panics and takes her staff. To the surprise of both him and the girl, it activates for him. Midoriya gets a whole transformation sequence and yes I am giving him a frilly dress. The girl coaches him through the fight and he manages to beat the monster.

The monster fades away and leaves an unconscious person behind, and Midoriya and the girl transform back. The girl promises that the guy is fine, and after confirming that, Midoriya ends up taking the girl home to rest. She introduces herself as Toga Himiko.

Toga explains that a so called Shadow Lord is magically releasing people's inner darkness, and it is the duty of magical warriors to save those people and stop the person responsible. Which now technically includes Midoriya. You know, if he wants to. She can't draft him. But also it's Midoriya so of course he says yes.

Midoriya now has to balance school with being on a team that fights monsters under a secret identity and avoid being arrested for ’vigilantism’

+1. Midoriya has a whole magical girl transformation because that's what he was expecting to happen. He could have gone with a suit or something else but honestly you only get so many chances to be a real life magical girl

+2. The magical warrior recruitment system involves giving someone your staff. Midoriya grabbing the dropped staff himself was a situation the system hadn’t been designed to handle and defaulted to the assumption that he was given it.

What a horrible day to have eyes. I go into the anti Aizawa tag and I'm greeted with this.

You know, I don't even completely disagree about Eri. I love her, but Horikoshi didn't write her well. No one's doubting that. But if we're talking about her trauma not being handled well, she's far from the only case. Not to mention her quirk was the reason as to why she was abused, so the point about her power is irrelevant in my opinion.

(Also, the complaint about her being a "perfect" abuse victim is weird... She's a child. Children usually are perfect victims because they're either completely powerless or their innocence is being manipulated and taken advantage of or both. It's also funny how OP doesn't complain about Izuku too because at least Eri has some form of agency. At least she's allowed to look at Overhaul as her abuser. Izuku is reduced to supporting and validating his abuser's feelings. Why is trauma handled incorrectly in MHA until the minute it comes to Izuku's lack of negative feelings towards Bakugou)

But even considering all of that, blaming her for Aizawa's shortcomings as a character is wrong.

I genuinely don't know where this came from. They don't even have that many scenes together and we've almost never seen him being a "cutesy" dad to her. We hardly ever see him even act paternally towards her, he's mostly seen escorting her and being by her side. If anything, that sounds way more like fanon Dadzawa. And considering a lot of the manga was changed to meet the fans' expectations of certain characters (specifically for Aizawa and Bakugou), if he has been changed into a "cutesy dad," then that's the fandom's fault for perpetuating that trope, NOT Eri's.

But more importantly, complex? Interesting? AIZAWA?

OP is acting like Aizawa's role in the story isn't being whatever Horikoshi needs him to be at the time. Hell, most of his overall dialogue is commentary for telling the audience how they're supposed to feel. Part of the reason Bakugou's behavior is never condemned is because Aizawa is always conveniently placed to shut down any criticism about it and defend him.

You'll also notice that despite challenging "everything Deku's heroism is about in a nuanced way," Aizawa never actually tries to teach Izuku differently. He condemns and scolds him for it but never actually explains what's wrong with his concept of heroism and tries to teach him differently. So what exactly is he challenging? Because Izuku still holds onto his ideas of heroism and Aizawa never tried to correct it even prior to Eri.

So instead of blaming a six-year-old who wasn't even given that many scenes in the story, maybe take a look at your favorite's failings as a character.

Katsuki seems like an izuku simp these days, just look at the latest chapters. Makes me scramble to remember his other traits. Anyways.

There are some analysis u might want to read, mainly how japanese culture works. Cuz like, i only really forgave Bakugo after learning tht it's encouraged to bully the person who doesn't fit in. Ok so to me bakugo bullied deku bcause he saw deku was a better hero then him n lashed out in insecurity; was enabled by his peers and didn't think it was bad. Teenagers shud hv a good grasp on whts right and wrong, but also consider what they are taught.

I mindlessly used to ship bkdk before bcz i read them talking after dvk2. I was like 14 i think 🤔. I hv been there, been the cringe shipper u guys all hate so i understand why u dont like shippers.

Mostly just dropping by to admit i, a dumbass bkdk shipper, went diving in the anti tags, n came out alive. Why is it tht the antis n shippers only see the worst of each other? I only engage with the tumblr bkdk fandom n they're pretty chill n stay true to the material, hardly see weird headcanons. But i do see some. Mitsuki being abusive? What? Anything to make Bakugo sympathetic, amirite? To me, Bkgs story is tht he is a natural asshole but is learning to be a hero. I'll wait till the end of the story to full judge how hori deals his story. I hv a life outside of it n can wait.

Bkdk fandom is the same as any other fandom, has its good and bad sides. I dont wanna interact with the bad side so im turning on anon and venting in anti bkdk lmao.

You are right in saying that there are good and bad parts of the Katsuki and BkDk fandom. It’s why I always make sure to refer to the bad side as Stans and the good side as fans. I’ve got no issues with fans who simply like the character. At the end of the day, it’s whatever. I personally just hate Katsuki and I have issues with the Stans who swarm people who have different opinions. Sadly, like you said, this is something that happens in all fandoms. A BkDk shipper who frequents this blog mentioned how IzuOcha shippers started sending them death threats for not liking the ship which is horrible.

I will say that I definitely agree with you in a sense that Katsuki’s character is utterly attached to Izuku. He really can’t function on his own without him.

Three ships: whoever thought three ships are enough is just downright evil

1. Destiel (Dean Winchester/Castiel from Supernatural). The finale of the show made me lose interest completely in anything Destiel related, I even stopped reading fanfictions about them, but I gotta put them in the list anyway because so many years I've spent obsessing over them. They used to be my OTP, don't think they still are, but they deserve to be here, I still love them even though it was mostly fanservice.

2. BakuDeku (Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku from Boku no Hero Academia). Now, I admit, in the past I thought whoever shipped them was downright crazy. But here I am. One of them had such an amazing growth, which changed their relationship as well, and I just love that, I love the more a relationship change, and they're the epitome of that. From childhood friends, to enemies, to having to work together, to friends (and to more in fanfictions and in my silly mind). So yes, a fairly new ship all considered for me, but I already love it so so much.

3. Ineffable Husbands (Crowley and Aziraphale from Good Omens). Choosing a third is awful because I love so many ships, but they deserve it. They have so much bickering, just like an old married couple, and that is something I love a lot. Give me bickering and I'm in. Also all that happened in season 2, painful but so good, yes please, can't wait for season 3.

(Please forgive me for not including Lestappen but they would have been in my top 5 if this was a top 5 ships 😢)

First ship ever: ...so this is weird. Because I found out I basically unconsciously shipped Merthur when I was around 9 or 10 lol (I hated seeing Arthur with Gwen, especially kissing scenes, and instead loved all his scenes with Merlin). But my real first ship is probably NaruSasu, although my first fanfiction was about Goku and Vegeta (which is funny since I don't even ship them and I never have).

Currently craving: money, always money. With money I can have books and visit places so money (hopefully finding a job soon would be good enough too).

May we have more information about guardian dog Izuku?

Nezu is the principal because hes the only UA principal I chose to recognise. Aizawa shows up to school with a green dog and he's already pretty sure this dog has a quirk. He doesn't want to get his hopes up though, because fellow quirked animals are rare. Then the dog ends up in his office during lunch time and carefully pulls books off his shelves "This Biology of a Quirk" "The Theory of Everything" and a single book that Nezu has made sure is the only copy in existence "The Effects of Quirks on Non Human Animals". He is very excited! One of the first quirked animals he's run into in his tenure at UA has human like intelligence, the ability to read and probably some sort of future sight/time travel ability!

Izuku, courtesy of Nezu, has his own student ID badge, imbeded in the tag on the collar Aizawa gets him. Aizawa only finds this out when he forgot his at home and Izuku opens the gate for him. He's so confused.

Aizawa calls Izuku Midori. Oboro calls him everything from "head of lettuce" to "pile of grass clippings gain sentience". Izuku responds to all of them. None of the three stooges have worked out hes quirked because god bless they don't use their braincells so they are wondering how weird Izuku's last owner was. Yamada calls him "bestest boy" and Izuku gets embarrassed.

Izuku also has One for All. This only comes out when Aizawa's class is training with the other heroics class and their teacher tells him to get rid of the dog because its clearly not a hero student. The rest of his class start to complain bc thats their mascot now, and Yamada argues that clearly hes allowed here or Nezu would have gotten rid of him. Izuku just stands up, makes direct eye contact with the hero and then bites clean through a steel bar. Everyone is screaming.

Aizawa seems to be Midori's favourite, unless they are out on internships or workplace experience. Then Oboro can't get rid of him.

we’ll bet on forever but we both know the spread (dab x reader, 18+, dc) // unfinished (I'm working on it) but it is my baby and it’s maybe the thing I have the most fun writing. It is my movie fic and I’ve worked really hard on it and it’s the fic I am most proud of<3

swore I could hear you through the walls (dabi x reader, 18+, dc) // a fic I agonized over for maybe a year dsfjkdhfkd I really like all of the detail I put into this one, as well as the like character quirks and things like that. it was also like a really ridiculous idea but I hope I played into that a bit and made it enjoyable 

forever is the sweetest con (spike spiegel x reader, 18+) // I think when it comes to any of my fics that are canon compliant, this is maybe the best one I have. The bebop universe comes incredibly easy to me, and while I agonized over spike’s characterization, I think I managed to do a pretty okay job with him. There are also a lot of callbacks to the show that I had fun with.

loving you is bigger than my head (izuku midoriya x reader, 18+) // putting this on here because while I think I have improved majorly since writing this, I do remember feeling very proud of it at the time.

i’m bright baby blue falling into you (gojo satoru x reader, 18+) // I have a very weird relationship w this fic as I hated it when I first wrote it ahsjkahdkjas but it has grown on me in some ways, mostly in the case of gojo’s characterization and the relationship between him and reader as a whole soooo yeah
