I know you posted it days ago but you said something about wanting to rant about either karl or his fanbase and its been itching at my brain. Ive no clue whats happening or what is happening at all cause no one seems to be making clear points?? Or explaining anything?

Obviously you do NOT have to talk about it im sure it might be a sore point to rant because people can get SO needlessly rude to others over it. But if you want to idk explain? Just rant? Im definetly curious what it was over or about.

The "you dont need to talk about this" is amplified by the fact i am DAYS late and you are probably over it by now.

okay hi yes im happy to talk about this but i think i should preface with two things:

1) even tho it may seem like im biased towards him or being very defensive of him im actually a super casual karl viewer and the only reason i am super defensive of him sometimes is bc we act a lot alike irl and that is mainly because of our neurodivegency. when i say a lot i mean we share traits like "annoying" stimming (jumping around, making loud noises, repeating the same phrases until everyone is sick of hearing them), the difficulty reading situations, the very obvious issues with volume control and not just bouncing from subject to subject to subject as we fucking please. basically anything you've seen karl do on stream that is Very Neurodivergent ive done the same in my own way which is why i get defensive when i see people calling him annoying or saying they dont like him, usually for these types of reasons. that being said, when i say im a very casual karl viewer, i fucking mean it. i usually only watch him when he's streaming with other ccs i like or when he's doing chill alt streams bc even with the annoying donos, he's pretty relaxing and comforting when he's just fucking around by himself and he isnt trying to get as hype as he would on a main channel stream. so yeah, it may seem like im biased and sure, i guess i am on some level, but it's not coming from a place of me hyperfixating on him or me even loving him as a cc, it's coming from me being a neurodivergent who likes him just enough to get upset when i see people basically being casually ableist towards him.

2) i dont have all the facts or even a great understanding on what the fuck has been happening recently with his "drama"...mostly bc he talked about it on his priv, which im not on, and people are gatekeeping the tweets, as they always do, and basically making you "dm to see them" (which is already a problem in and of itself bc apparently in these tweets he said he didnt want them being ss and shared, yet they are being shared thru dms over and over and over again like. at that point just stop withholding the information and post the fucking shit, you clearly dont care that he said "dont share"). additionally, most of the threads ive seen on this situation havent actually explained the initial issue, just talked about his apology (a lot of people have said "it's bad" but havent said why and with no screenshots ((i havent asked for someone to dm me them and i still havent seen them posted, which is mildly surprising, but incredibly frustrating at this point)), i only have a few basic details i can actually assess it on) or they talked about the initial issue in very vague details so um. excuse me trying to explain this now, but ill try and make it make sense with how little ive actually pieced together.

(oh, also, here's my first rant about the ableism in this fandom which is way more broad. this is a pretty different rant from that one, but they're both pretty big reasons why i hate this fandoms treatment of karl)

so basically the problems started with mr beast being apart of a charity stream that donated either to autism speaks or to a similar company, im unsure on that part. im also unsure on if the people participating in the stream actually knew of this or not bc, from what i remember, the money was being donated to a separate organization that was like. under the bad company or some shit like that, idk how stuff like that works and also i read about this shit months ago bc this originally happened months ago and just sorta came to a head recently.

anyways, i think karl was supposed to be apart of this stream but pulled out of it right before (that or these were two separate streams and karl was supposed to participate in the first but pulled out while mr beast did both?? idk. regardless karl did not actually participate, just mr beast). from there people started doing the guilt from association bullshit they always do, this was also doubled by the fact that the chris being racist stuff came out sometime around then and basically he got dragged all over twitter for "being ableist" and "supporting racists" and i cant remember if he actually apologized when this originally happened or not. i vaguely remember him apologizing about something back then but i genuinely dont know if it was this or something else.

basically that died down eventually, a good chunk of people unstanned him but him and honktwt didnt end up getting the lovely lil technotwt treatment and they still havent yet, surprisingly. good for them honestly ajsksk

but now we get to the past few weeks and apparently something happened with him "laughing at someone saying the r slur" (it was mizkif, i believe), specifically when it was directed at other people, which is a big yikes, obviously, but when karl was called out for this a lot of people kind of. made this into a situation that it wasnt bc um. basically karl didnt laugh at it, he gave a few nervous giggles, as people often do when in a situation like that (and karl specifically said he does this in the one part of his apology tweet which i did stumble upon, although it wasnt the important part of the apology thread bc why would it be) and people fucking crucified him for it. they quite literally dragged a neurodivergent man for supposedly "laughing at the r slur" when he can literally reclaim it and also he was just nervous laughing.

and this is where the situation just gets really bad because they. basically forced him to admit that he was autistic on his priv to apologize for this. i havent seen the screenshots of him saying this, but i saw people discussing it and i am frankly so fucking pissed about this because sure, it was a bad situation, and i understand people wanting an explanation, but an apology? for a neurodivergent man nervous laughing at a slur he can reclaim? and then forcing the man to admit something he literally said in that tweet he didnt want people to know which is why people were being so gatekeepy about it while also LOUDLY discussing the situation, as if that wouldnt drive MORE PEOPLE to look for screenshots and ways to get ahold of this information? and then people had the audacity to call it a "bad apology" when they had quite literally just violated his privacy by forcing him to admit something that he shouldnt have needed to share in the first place if he didnt want to, which he didnt.

and this is why im so pissed off. karl is already constantly picked at and made fun of and called annoying for his neurodivergent traits, things which he literally cant help, things which are generally harmless, and now he was forced into a situation where he can now be further picked at and made fun of and called annoying bc they forced him to admit something private instead of just understanding and accepting that he had been nervous laughing at someone using a slur he has definetly been called for his neurodivergency.

tldr of my thoughts: yes i think karl needed to address this situation, it definetly looked bad, but twitter stans have this sense of entitlement with their ccs and because of that, they consistently take it way too far and harm the people they claim to care about so dearly. we've seen it happen time and time again with dream, but this is the first time ive seen them basically force someone to out themselves to make their apology "valid" and most of them still seem to not want to accept it anyways, which just makes me feel bad for him bc now that info is out their and people are just disregarding it to continue "holding him accountable".

anyways, i think that's all i can really say on this topic rn tbh, if anyone else knows this situation better please feel free to lmk clarifications and ill add them in since, like i said, i know fuck all thanks to twitter being so goddamn hush hush about the important details while simultaneously being the loudest mfers about how much they hate karl now instead of just fucking unfollowing and moving on.

thanks for the ask and im sorry if this is confusing!! i just think this is one of those weird situations where like. i think karl deserved some criticism for what happened and how he handled it or at least he shouldve been asked to address it but that just. isnt what happened, at all. he was harrassed. karl got harrassed and because of that he handled this situation even more sloppily than he probably wouldve and exposed private info about himself that he didnt feel comfortable doing and it just. fucking sucks tbh.

so basically my friend told me today about her dream she had that involved a demon and of course my mind went “...SAIOU AU”

here’s our convo so it makes sense:

if I had the motivation i would DEFINITELY write a fic about this- the fluff/crack/angst potential is t h e r e

and as a bonus doodle,

story is under the cut (it’s long)

“I was gonna keep this in tags but hsdf;j” is what I originally wrote here until I started thinking about this more and sorta wrote the whole plot-

-> as ouma’s killing the other monster things he flirts with shuuichi while the poor demon has never been flirted with so he’s stood there all confused and ??? (his version of blushing would be like, the fire coming from his small horns gets bigger and brighter)

-> the one he summons ends up being like. kaede and they both just end up having to lecture shuuichi on why it is that he should not want to die so easily

-> eventually kokichi and kaede wanna give him a hug so they try to but shuuichi’s Extra Hot™ (from being a demon and also probably blushing) so they both immediately regret that choice but kokichi laughs and gives an obligatory pun about shuuichi being hot which only confuses him because ‘of course im hot?? im a demon??’ while kaede explains what ouma meant

-> imagine shuuichi crying (fire tears..) at the generosity of these two strangers who a) aren’t absolutely terrified of him, b) refuse to hurt him and c) actually *want* to help him and ouma actually inwardly understanding a little bc he’d never imagine someone actually wanting to be with himself either

-> saihara now wanting to know what it’s like to live as a human with ouma and akamatsu but being unable to find a way (except for maybe being undercover?) but promising he’ll bring ouma back to him (he’s aware of the whole aging phenomenon in the lil demon world so he wants to keep their time short) and ouma finding that now he has something to look forward to

-> the 👏 mutual 👏 pining 👏 that commences after they both have to leave each other (if kaede knows kokichi in the real world she’d definitely tease him a little knowing he has a crush- this is probably good potential for building oumaede friendship)

-> it takes a while before ouma and saihara can see eachother again because getting the two to escape without killing saihara exerted a lot of energy on him, but they do get to! about once a month to be safe, and they get to know stuff about eachother like which shops ouma likes to steal from and shuuichi’s really loud demon friend he once had (aka momota)

-> one day though saihara tells ouma that if he keeps doing this he’ll die of exhaustion (it takes a lot of energy from saihara to get ouma in and out of there) and ouma calling him an idiot but really being worried. saihara tells him not to worry about him even if something happens to him, and makes ouma go back to the real world

-> ouma doesn’t hear from him after that

-> he worries he might have been killed or saihara forgot about him and feels stupid for being so hopeful in something so childishly impossible and starts trying to forget about him

-> the real world is aware of demons cause people talk about them (and obvs you can tell when someone’s gone to their.. dimension thing because you can visibly see them age) so still denying that he’s curious and likes saihara still, ouma tries to go to libraries and do his own research on demons and ends up finding out that saihara specifically comes from a bloodline that makes him quite powerful if not for that he wouldnt want to take the risks that come with it and then lowkey gets excited again for saihara while still in ✨denial ✨

-> it’s been almost a year when saihara has enough energy (and more) to ensure that his new plan is successfully carried out and that ouma (and potentially 1 more..) gets back to the real world safely. he created this plan when he figured out how to exist in the real world- by sacrificing the thing he cares most about

-> so when ouma suddenly gets that off-feeling people get when they’re leaving the real world he feels very many emotions at once (giddily going ”ohh my god its not this it cant be this no way oh heck tthisis not happening not a chance”) until he sees the face he’s been waiting 4 months for again except this time it looks.. frighteningly cold

-> ouma’s instincts are screaming at him that something is very, very wrong here especially when he can’t hear any warmth when saihara says “Welcome back, Ouma. It’s your final time” and explains the whole ‘kill these monsters then kill me’ thing again

-> ouma’s confusion inevitably turns to annoyance as he kills the dudes (there appears to be a lot more than there was last time) and fires questions at saihara (‘is this saihara?’ ‘what happened to you??’ ‘do you even remember me?’) while saihara stays silent for the whole time thinking about how he really doesn’t want to be doing this.

-> eventually ouma decides he was wrong (again) to have put his faith in a guy- a demon- he only met once a month.. even if said demon gave him something to look forward to

-> when he finally gets to saihara alone he internally notes that saihara cant look him in the eye, but he finally speaks to tell ouma that now either himself or ouma will now die (saihara knows this is for sake of the sacrifice, but he can’t let ouma know else it won’t work)

-> ouma refuses to fight him again, expecting saihara to snap back into the meek demon from a year and some months ago, but rather than that happening saihara actually says something like “if you won’t kill me, I’ll have to kill you” and swings at him

-> even if ouma was on his full guard, he still would’ve been surprised by how strong saihara actually could be when he tried to fight- and of course saihara can’t stop now that he’s started but ouma hears the hesitation when saihara asks “are you going to kill me yet?” and gets annoyed that the whole time he spent with him and even akamatsu meant nothing. saihara smiles sadly knowing he’s achieving his goal but ouma thinks he’s smiling at the thought of dying and gets somehow even more annoyed

-> during their whole fight, insert “I’m alone, Ouma, and I will always be” line from saihara, “No amount of talking can convince me otherwise, Ouma. I’m sorry it took so long, but it was foolish of you to trust a demon you met only once” or something and yes it hurts saihara too but ouma’s staying silent and before saihara can continue, ouma fires back with “You’re right- you are meant to be alone. You were always meant to be that kind of guy” and stops dodging to start finally attacking- this is when saihara knows he’s pretty much achieved his target: sacrificing ouma’s trust in him

-> just as ouma swipes at him, saihara’s lil spell thing is activated that takes saihara back to the real world, disguised so people don’t see him as a demon. but now ouma thinks he’s just killed saihara (I just attacked him. and he is gone. i dont know what that light was but i must have just killed him. oh my god im a murderer.”)

-> saihara hiding in the forest to do the lil spell thing again but on ouma (all the time he spent saving on energy was worth it) so ouma gets transported to the real world too and immediately runs to tell akamatsu everything that happened

-> saihara trying to find to blend in with humans from what he remembers of how they act but he doesnt need to particularly eat he just needs a heck ton of sleep so he basically just lives in the forest now. he’s very sensitive to water so he actively stays away from it too (it wont kill him but it does make him sick). he’s still feverishly warm but not scalding and he also decides to work at a store to fit in more

-> ouma regretting what he did to saihara even though saihara hurt him first and realising he misses him

-> saihara ends up accidentally bumping into him at the store he works at that ouma conveniently steals from a lot (”Ouma, you’d make a good demon” “Nishishi! What do you mean? I’m a perfect little angel!”) and saihara gasping when he notices ouma’s unforgettable purple hair and cute smile.

-> ouma finding something familiar about this awkward new staff with the cute face and deciding he’ll visit the shop more often to see this stranger and not because said stranger might help him get over his demon crush

-> then they get to know eachother again for the 2nd time, and as much as this guy is really cute, he clearly knows more than he’s letting on... so of course ouma’s gotta now pay even more attention to him. just so he knows what the guy’s hiding. not cause he wants to know him.

-> one day saihara is sick from trying to protect himself from the rain (cause yk, water bad) so he stays in the forest instead of coming in to focus his energy on getting better and also not blowing his cover. ouma notices he isnt there on that day and asks other staff members where he lives and they’re all like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

-> it rains quite a bit after that, inevitably making saihara even more sick and in turn needing time away to himself, so ouma starts getting worried when saihara stops coming to work

-> saihara really wants to see him though, so one day he tries to drag himself to work in a terrible state where he’s actually almost cold for once and collapses after trying to run to ouma. ouma sees him and tells his manager he cant work nd takes him home himself where saihara wakes up confused

-> ouma lecturing saihara because he worried him and the way he fell reminded him of.. someone (demon shuu).. then he asks vague questions to saihara about if he’s ever met a demon and half-confesses to having met one himself multiple times and ending up falling in love and then probably killing them

-> saihara, in his tired state, tells him his story of how he was raised to believe he had no purpose other than to meet someone who would kill him, eventually finding that person but instead of looking at him with fear or anger he looked at him with admiration and playfulness, how the guy meant to kill him refused to and flirted w him instead. ouma has probably clicked on by this point but saihara continues to tell him he wanted to protect that guy with the power he had so he took time away from his first ‘job’ to find out how to be with him. saihara is probably shaking at this point while he continues telling him about how he found out he had to sacrifice the most important thing to him, so he “went and had a terrible argument with him one day and i ran away. but i’ve never stopped looking for him since, he showed me that even a demon like me can fall in love” (there’s the ✨grand confession ✨)

-> ouma saw it coming from the moment saihara started speaking, but that didnt stop him from being utterly paralysed. of COURSE saihara has to say “When I said you’d make a good demon I really wasn’t lying. Your hand is so warm it could fool even me” which possibly makes ouma completely combust before absolutely bolting out the door and calling akamatsu to tell her to get to his house (”AKAMATSU-CHAN I’M GONNA DIE RIGHT NOW IF YOU DON’T GET HERE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT THIS SECOND”)

-> while waiting for kaede, shuuichi explains that he needs to be Warm™ and immediately holds kokichi’s hold again, while the other’s having a gay panic.. and he doesnt know how to feel because on one hand, his beloved demon is.. right here, in the ‘flesh’, holding his hand, telling him he fell in love with him.. but on the other hand, that doesnt excuse the confusion and hurt he put him through back then, not being able to see him for a whole damn year..

-> ouma ignores all the feelings when akamatsu arrives where she’s brought water and blankets (just in case- i feel like shes the kind of friend who would do that) so saihara takes the blankets and ouma takes the water and she calms them both down and gets them to explain everything slowly and in their own time. its awkward esp for ouma who isnt particularly close with her, but they manage it in the end

-> they decide shuuichi literally cant live in the forest so of course now he has to live with ouma but akamatsu offers to help if it ever gets too much for ouma which obviously ouma denies. she leaves soon and its just them but ouma needs some time to himself to clear his head and he only returns late to see saihara asleep clinging onto akamatsu’s blanket with his life lmao so ouma sighs and brings him more. and if he kisses the sleeping demon’s forehead, nobody has to know

-> ofc its still very much awkward and it takes ouma getting used to having even just another presence in his home, let alone his sort-of-unofficial-demon-bf and saihara’s still sleeping a lot of the time but recovering

-> they probably establish their feelings for eachother properly when they’re more mentally prepared for it, and then 👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨 (they kiss) and are now actually legally boyfriends. i absolutely cannot let this end in angst so they’re happy and love eachother now yay the end

nngl. i talked about this with that same friend and I lowkey want to start writing an actual fic for it now that ive written... literally the entire plot, but if i do that it probably wont be out for a while bc i take 10 years to write lmao-- plus i hardly ever finish what i start so uh yeah.. but hopefully! im not even good at writing fic this is just the plot but yello

Mafia! Bang Chan➣ Headcanons

first and foremost, his word is law

and so chan is not as man to be messed with

r/stressed

got this mess of an organization handed down to him at a young age

and the first thing he did was deal with the unloyal and corrupt executives

people who thought they deserved top spot compared to a 20 some year old boy

most of them were planning to assassinate him on the dl

Chan didnt like that

so he and his buddy Minho dealt with the little traitors

they stopped bothering him, some moved to other organizations

the others were never heard from again

did chan torture them? kill them? the world may never know

and so Chan reformed the whole mafia within the span of a few years

he himself was the adopted son of the previous mafia boss

so he wanted to give opportunities to kids who didnt have anywhere else to go like him

so he did

he gave the organization an official name, stray kids

it started with him just sponsoring a boarding home

then he placed one of the retired, but one he deemed loyal, executives in charge of it

since he began needing more manpower and some of the older kids needed jobs, he slowly let them work for skz

it’s an odd dynamic, but many of the older generation members gained respect for Chan

and the younger generation are extremely loyal

it worked out quite fine for him

he even gained quite the reputation quickly, people try to avoid skz when they can

cause if you mess with skz, chan will make sure you’re dealt with

whether it means you cant say another word or disappear completely

theres rumors

chans a busy boy, and hes gained quite the reputation

a lot of mafia groups from other cities have heard a lot about him

especially after he reformed the whole organization and got rid of most of the higher ups

and began some practices over time

specifically, with minho and changbin

those are his go-to guys for questioning

nobody ever wants to get “questioned” by them

it’s basically two bad cops, no good cop there

the only good cop in skz is woojin

anyway chan wanted a group of capable people he could trust

he obviously had people like changbin and minho in his little circle

but it grew quickly

eventually he ended up with eight other guys who’ve had their own struggles

but joined stray kids for their own reasons

people like jeongin and felix had nowhere else to go

woojin and hyunjin were in need of jobs

And that’s how it’s been for a while

things run smoothly for the most part and skz has a strong reputation

chans almost always busy

whatever business he’s dealing with, he makes sure he gets a good deal

doesnt play around

you try to trick him he will make sure you regret it

theres a certain rumor floating around about chan

many, actually

lots of rumors

people say hes of royal descent

others say he murdered the old mob boss to take charge

just a wide variety of strange things are said about him

one time jisung heard that chan trained wild wolves to maul competition

jisung laughed

outside of skz, hes a complete mystery

it’s kind of like an inside joke for stray kids

occasionally members would come home and share what new rumor they heard

the craziest one came from felix (who actually believed it)

he went up to chan, slightly bewildered, and asked him

“hyung, did you really escape from russia as a kid??”

chan was very confused how that one started

especially since he has a clear Australian accent

and hes very aware of his reputation

he knows who he is

and he likes to keep it like that

so theres less chance of people messing with skz

in his eyes, the reputation was a safeguard from people seeing them as weak

plus it amuses him

while the rumors are usually baseless, he does have a fierce attitude when it comes to work

all business no play

again, r/stressed

jisungs acting up and being weird?

he has seungmin give him a good slap

then they would get into a fight

which chan would have to break up

or maybe hyunjins being overdramatic

he gets seungmin to talk to him

chan basically gets seungmin to handle the other members when they’re being difficult

well, some of them

one time chan sent seungmin to deal with a moody minho and seungmin ended up pinned to the ground with a knife to his neck

seungmin refuses to deal with moody minho nowadays

anywho, if chan tells a member to do something they do it

he just likes to bother seungmin

cause if you don’t do what chan tells you, you’re in for it

and since he basically grew up in the mafia, hes been hardened to most things

this guy wont bat an eye to shooting a gun

that’s child’s play for him

hes seen things that would leave many people traumatized

not a pushover in the slightest

however many people don’t know he has a soft side

a soft side???

chan?? what? soft???

yes

many people would scoff at the idea

this ruthless mob boss couldn’t possibly be soft

they’d be surprised

he has a very soft side

and he only shows it occasionally, since this job requires a hard heart

honestly chans always been soft

he cried a lot when he was first brought to the mafia

but years of brutality and cunning violence numbed him to it

but you

when he met you

whew

boy he was putty

yea sure he was about to kill you

but he very very quickly warmed up to you

nobody knows why

but you were certainly grateful for it

and you enjoyed the soft side of him

because you’re the one he usually showed it to

chan also spoiled you

and had no problem showing off his money

you tried to tell him you didnt need all the stuff

he didnt listen

you felt like you were in some cliche fanfic

oh shit wait

you moved in with him and the other members

mostly because the other members didnt want you yapping about skz

and the other members barely trusted you

except for felix

but eventually they all warmed up to you

it wasnt easy adjusting to the lifestyle

and it wasnt easy leaving your old life behind

but in the end you really did enjoy it

and chan was forever grateful he met you

and you know, didnt kill you

anywho chan tries to keep you as safe as possible

if anything happened to you he’d flip shit

hed be pissed

and nobody would be getting out happy

chan was careful though so you’re all good

…for now

chan made you the happiest

and you made chan happy

he liked it that way and wouldnt have it any other

cause hes a sucker for ya

Summary: You have been staring at Ben more often than you like to admit. Rowan would point out he might have to do something with R you would tell Rowan that Ben wouldn’t lie to you. Once you follow him out of the Great Hall, something happened. Perhaps Rowan was right after all. Ben might not be telling the truth, or is he?

Ben noticed you have been staring at him more often lately. He just didn’t understand why though. Did he do something wrong? Didn’t you trust him anymore after Rowan became suspicious? It didn’t make sense though, because you said you believed him. Those letters from R were addressed to him, but he just couldn’t remember them. Or perhaps he did remember them, but he tried to forget about it. He didn’t want you to be suspicious of him, after all, you were a really great friend. You have helped him out when he needed it. You even duelled Merula, because she called him a Mudblood. He hasn’t said anything weird to you lately, has he? If he did then he would have been embarrassed about it. No, it couldn’t be that. There must be another reason why you were staring at him. He was sitting in the Great Hall, eating his lunch, when he caught you staring at him again. You quickly looked away when your eyes met each other. What was going on?

Rowan sat next to you and elbowed you. “What are you doing, Y/N?” She asked. “Nothing.” You mumbled, blushing a little. “Oh, so staring at Ben is nothing?” She asked, smirking slightly. “You have doing that a lot lately. You knew he might have caught you staring at him often, but you definitely wouldn’t admit you did such a thing. “I wasn’t staring at Ben. I was just thinking.” You muttered. “Sure you were.” She said, rolling her eyes. “Let me guess, did those thoughts include Ben?” She teased you. You elbowed her “You are a terrible friend, Khanna.” You said with a grin. “Hey! I’m just looking after you. I mean, after this whole ‘R’ thing, I’m not sure whether Ben is telling the truth or not. I don’t want you to get hurt.” She said honestly.

“Rowan, Ben wouldn’t lie about such a thing.” You said, wanting to believe Ben’s word, but you knew there was always the possibility he might knew something about it. “And if he did something he might not be able to remember it because someone made sure he wouldn’t remember it. Perhaps a Forgetfulness Potion.” You pointed out. “That might be so, but I don’t want you to do something you might regret later.” Rowan said. You sighed and shook your head. There was no way Ben did something bad. You thought Ben was a really sweet guy and you definitely enjoyed being around him. He might be a coward often, but he did help you with the Cursed Vaults. You thought he was really helpful. He was also very talented at Charms and you would sometimes ask him for advice. There was just no way you would be able to see Ben as the bad guy.

Once Ben was about to leave the Great Hall you stood up. “Rowan, I can assure you that Ben doesn’t intend to harm anyone. We can trust him.” You said. “In fact, I’m going to ask him if he wants to help me practice Charms. I feel like it will help me a lot with the Cursed Vaults. I mean, charms will help me with solving the mysteries around the Cursed Vaults.” You said. “Just like any other class.” Rowan pointed out. “That is true, but Ben is especially talented at Charms. Just like Penny is really good at Potions. You are really good at studying.” You said with a smile. Rowan sighed with a smile. “Well, go then. Ben has already left the Great Hall.” She said. You grinned and then you quickly left the Great Hall. You didn’t know where Ben was going, but you managed to spot him in the crowd. You quickly followed after him, wondering where he was going.

Oh, he was going the Artefacts room. You knew Ben would go there often. Perhaps he wanted to be alone? You still wanted to ask him to help you with Charms. You weren’t going to back out of it now. You slowly opened the door. Ben didn’t notice you entering the Artefacts room, like he was busy looking for something inside the room. You slowly walked over to him and then you placed a hand on his shoulder. Ben was startled and grabbed his wand immediately. “Depulso!” He said, pointing his wand at you. Before you knew it, you were blasted against the wall. Things fell onto you and your head began throbbing a lot. You must have hit your head pretty hard. Maybe you should have said something when you entered the room. You couldn’t help it but to feel hurt he would just attack you like that. You quickly tried to get the things off you.

“Y/N?” Ben said surprised slowly stepping closer to you, his eyes widened a little. You bit your lip and then you quickly stood up, leaving the Artefacts Room as quickly as possible. Ben called out your name again, but you didn’t turn around. No, you weren’t going back. He might not have done it on purpose, but the fact he was so startled he attacked you hurt you. He was up to something, you just knew he was up to something. You didn’t want to listen to Rowan, but it was hard to ignore such evidence. You knew you should probably head to the Hospital Wing now. Your head hurt a lot and you knew it was better to get it fixed.

“So, you don’t know who attacked you, miss Y/L/N?” Madam Pomfrey asked when she used a healing spell. “No, I wasn’t really looking where I was going when I was attacked.” You lied. “That is unusual.” She said. “I mean, normally you know what happened and who were involved.” She pointed out. “Yeah, I was daydreaming a bit. Probably not a good idea.” You lied, trying to smile a little. She sighed a little. “Well, you are good to go. And please, try to be more careful. Such accidents can be prevented easily.” She said. “I will try to be more careful. Thanks for the help, Madam Pomfrey.” You said when you left the Hospital Wing.

You sighed once you were out, slowly making your way to the common room. You wanted to hide in your dormitory, thinking that would be the only place you could think clearly now. You didn’t want to face anyone. Rowan would probably ask you what happened and probably suspect Ben even more. You definitely didn’t want to face Ben now. You didn’t want to assume things. You just thought the whole scene was really suspicious. Perhaps it was your own fault for not saying anything when you entered the room. Then again, he could have done the same thing if he heard you speak up. After all you had entered the room without him realizing it. Maybe your voice would have startled him just as much. You didn’t want to think about it. It had happened and it was enough to confuse you. Maybe you were just too blind to see Ben was being suspicious, because you liked him more than you would like to admit.

On your way to your Common Room you saw Ben. Your eyes widened and you quickly tried to take a different way. Of course, Ben had already seen you and began following you. You tried to speed up the pace, hoping you could lose him on the way. The last thing you wanted was to talk to Ben. You weren’t thinking straight and you needed to think straight to make the right decision, at least you thought you would make the right the decision if you were thinking more straight. You just couldn’t talk to him right now. You just knew it.

You froze when Ben had caught your hand. You stopped walking, not turning around to look at him. “Y/N…” He spoke softly. You didn’t know what to say. Your eyes were getting watery and you refused to turn around. You weren’t going to cry, you refused to cry. “I’m sorry for hitting you with that charm.” He said softly, sounding apologetic. “I didn’t mean to hit you. I just didn’t know it was you.” He said honestly. You bit your lip, closing your eyes. You hoped your tears would disappear, but they didn’t. Tears were already rolling down your cheeks. “No...! I-I didn’t mean to make you cry...!” He said, panicking a little when he walked in front of you. He gently grabbed your shoulder, but you struggled a bit, making him let go.

“Are you being honest with me, Ben?” You asked softly. “What do you mean?” He asked. “I want to trust you, Ben. I really do, but the way you are acting… I can’t help to wonder if you are lying to me.” You said softly. “W-what? No, I’m not lying to you.” He said. “Why were you in the Artefacts Room looking for something…? I know you get startled easily, but you have never grabbed your wand before.” You said, looking into his eyes. Tears were still falling down. You wanted to hear the truth. “I was just looking for some charms to practice. I swear, I didn’t mean to hurt you!” He said. His eyes were getting watery as well. “How can I be sure you are telling the truth, Ben?” You asked. “I don’t want to suspect you, I really don’t, but you have been acting strange.” You said.

“Please, Y/N. You have to believe me. I don’t remember those letters. I really don’t remember writing R. I’m not doing anything against you.” Ben said, tears rolling down his face. “For Merlin’s sake... I don’t know what to believe anymore…! These Cursed Vaults, they only cause trouble.” You mumbled to yourself, panicking a bit. You really didn’t know what to do. You definitely still liked Ben, but how could you like him if he does know something about R? You didn’t want to be lied to. No matter what the reason was. You needed to keep looking for the Cursed Vaults to find Jacob. You knew if your brother wasn’t missing things might have been normal. What if there were more people you couldn’t trust? What if you couldn’t trust your friends? There would be nobody left. Your mother doesn’t want to hear anything about the Cursed Vaults and you knew your dad wouldn’t either after Jacob’s disappearance. You would be all alone…

Your eyes widened when Ben pulled you into a tight hug. “B-Ben?” You said very softly, surprised by his action. “I don’t want you to think I’m not being honest with you.” He said. “I want you to trust me.” He said softly, still not letting go. “I want to trust you as well.” You spoke up softly. “Then, how could I prove it to you?” He asked softly. “Really, I would do anything.” He said, sounding just a little nervous. You thought about something, wondering if he would tell you the truth. “Do you promise to tell me the truth…?” You asked. “Of course.” He said immediately. “Have… have you seen me do something more often lately…?” You asked. “I-eh… I think so…” He said softly. “What have I been doing?” You asked, blushing slightly. “You were… you were staring at me.” He said. “Do you know why...?” You asked. “No, I really don’t.” He said honestly. You avoided his gaze, blushing more. You bit your lip, wondering if you should tell him why you have been staring at him. You took a deep breath.

“I like you, Ben… I really like you.” You said seriously. Ben looked baffled, almost wanting to make himself believe you just really liked him as a good friend. But he couldn’t do that. He knew what kind of like you were talking about. “I-if I wasn’t clear enough, I fancy you, Ben…” You mumbled softly, blushing more. You slowly hid your face in your hands, feeling a bit embarrassed you have told him you liked him. “That is why I do want to trust you. I don’t want to feel like you are suspicious.” You said softly. It all sounded a little muffled, because you didn’t pull your hands away from your face. Meanwhile Ben was trying to let this all sink in. He didn’t expect to hear this from you after you began crying. He thought the friendship would be over after he attacked you by accident. Now he was feeling like a blushing mess.

Ben slowly pulled your hands away from your face, looking into your eyes. “Do you actually mean it?” He asked. You nodded. “Do I have to say it again?” You asked, still blushing. He shook his head and then he leant in closer to your face. “I actually like you a lot too…” He said softly, blushing a lot. You couldn’t refrain yourself from kissing him. He tensed up a little for a moment. Once he relaxed he kissed you back. The kiss was sweet and you could feel the tension you felt earlier leaving your body. You were sure about one thing; he liked you as well. If he didn’t like you he would probably have let you know in some kind of way. He wouldn’t have kissed you back if he didn’t like you nor he would have told you.

You two looked at each other, both still blushing a lot. “I hope that convinced you that I’m honest with you.” He said softly. “I promise I will tell you the truth.” He said softly. You nodded lightly. “I believe you, Ben.” You said softly. You rubbed away the last tears, slowly smiling again. He seemed to smile as well. Perhaps running into him wasn’t as bad as you anticipated. You definitely felt a lot better about everything. You have got a lot off your chest and it made you feel pretty calm again. Well, you were also excited because you have just kissed your crush and admitted you liked him. You were happy he liked you back and you knew this was the start of something new.

Ben held your hand when you two walked towards the Great Hall. You two weren’t saying much besides smiling a lot. It was like you two didn’t need any words to show each other how you were feeling. Although Ben decided to bring up the attack. “I feel like I have to make things up with you.” He said. “Please, I’m going to feel bad if I don’t do anything.” He said honestly. “Hm…” You thought about what he could do. “Perhaps you could help me with Charms, so I can improve myself.” You said. “Or, perhaps we can go to Hogsmeade together.” You said with a grin. “How about we do both?” Ben said with a smile. “I really like that idea a lot.”

Republicans Still Have Time To Do The Right Thing, Says Congresswoman | Morning Joe | MSNBC

When they went home for the July 4th recess, Republican members of Congress did one of two things: Either they met with constituents and were pummeled with angry questions about their disastrous health-care bill, or they hid out, trying to avoid their constituents so that they wouldnt be pummeled with angry questions about their disastrous health-care bill. Predictably, support for the bill among Republican senators is slipping away, which is not surprising given that this is the most unpopular piece of legislation in the history of polling.

So the time has come for Republicans to cut their losses and do the right thing. It wont be easy, but there are no easy options left for them.

Republicans need to admit to themselves that there is no great victory to be had. There will be political fallout no matter what the 2018 elections are going to be brutal but their choice now is between passing nothing, passing a bill that is so dreadful that it wins them the undying rage of the public, or a compromise that actually helps solve some of the problems they profess to care about.

What Republicans need to do now is drop the idea of repealing the Affordable Care Act and join together with Democrats to fix the problems in the individual market. Its not what they hoped for, but its a lot better than the alternative for everyone.

Trump Posts Video Condemning Capitol Violence But Does Not Mention His Role In Instigating It

Within hours of becoming the first president to be impeached twice, President Trump posted afive-minute video on a White House Twitter account on Wednesday evening condemning the storming of the Capitol complex by his supporters last week and urged his followers to avoid a repeat in the coming days both here in Washington and across the country.

Mr. Trump recorded the video under pressure from aides, who have warned him that he faces potential legal exposure for the riot, which occurred immediately after a speech in which he urged them to fight the results of the election, which he falsely claimed was stolen.

The president did not mention his own role in instigating the violence last week. On Tuesday, he defended the remarks he made at a rally before his supporters marched to the Capitol as totally appropriate and said the effort by Congress to impeach and convict him was causing tremendous anger.

He also did not acknowledge the loss of life or his own false claims of the election being stolen in the two months before the rally last week.

In the video, president did not mention the five people who died as a result of the violence at the Capitol. But he did go further in his language than he has at any point, as law enforcement is bracing for new insurgencies in Washington and around the country next week.

During the riot by his supporters, a Capitol Police officer sustained extensive head injuries and later died.

The Pentagon Will Arm National Guard Troops Deploying To The Capitol For The Inauguration

National Guard troops who are flooding into Washington to secure the Capitol for Inauguration Day will be armed, the Army secretary, Ryan McCarthy, has decided, Defense Department officials said Tuesday.

The armed troops will be responsible for security around the Capitol building complex, the officials said.

As up to 20,000 troops continued to arrive in Washington from all over the country, Defense Department officials had been weighing whether to deploy them with arms. Mr. McCarthy has decided that at the very least those around the Capitol building will carry weapons, said the officials, who confirmed the decision on the condition of anonymity.

Mr. McCarthys decision came after a meeting with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democrat of California. Ms. Pelosi, according to congressional staff members, demanded that the Pentagon take a more muscular posture after a mob, egged on by President Trump last week, breached the Capitol.

Pentagon officials say they are deeply worried about protests that are planned for the inauguration of President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. next week. About 16 groups some of them saying they will be armed and most of them made up of hard-line supporters of Mr. Trump have registered to stage protests in Washington, officials said.

Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington sent a letter to Mr. Trump on Sunday asking for an emergency declaration to obtain additional funding for inauguration security.

A Plurality Believe History Will Judge Trump As A The Worst President Ever; Less Than A Quarter Of Young Americans Want Trump To Play A Key Role In The Future Of Republican Politics; Young Republicans Are Divided

Thirty percent of young Americans believe that history will judge Donald Trump as the worst president ever. Overall, 26% give the 45th president positive marks , while 54% give Trump negative marks ; 11% believe he will go down as an average president.

Twenty-two percent of young Americans surveyed agree with the statement, I want Donald Trump to play a key role in the future of Republican politics, 58% disagreed, and 19% neither agreed nor disagreed. Among young Republicans, 56% agreed while 22% disagreed, and 21% were neutral. Only 61% of those who voted for Trump in the 2020 general indicated their desire for him to remain active in the GOP.

If they had to choose, 42% of young Republicans consider themselves supporters of the Republican party, and not Donald Trump. A quarter indicated they are Trump supporters first, 24% said they support both.

On Tuesday, Romney finally had some company. He was joined by the same four colleagues Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, Susan Collins of Maine and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania who also joined him in November in acknowledging Joe Biden’s victory and standing steadfast in opposition to outlandish claims that the election was rigged or stolen.

Murkowski denounced Trump for having “perpetrated false rhetoric that the election was stolen and rigged, even after dozens of courts ruled against these claims.” Sasse said Trump didn’t have any evidence to back up his claims of election fraud, “and neither do the institutional arsonist members of Congress who will object to the Electoral College vote.”

In an ideal world, the United States might not have run up a debt of more than $28 trillion; in the real world, it has. Another less-than-ideal reality is the 104-year-old law that periodically bars the Treasury Department from borrowing more funds to cover previously approved outlays without a new act of Congress. The debt ceiling creates periodic political tension on Capitol Hill, because, although senators and representatives find it politically beneficial to vote for tax cuts and spending increases, voting yes or no on passing the bill to future generations creates nothing but political hassles.

Another such moment is in the offing, because there has been massive spending and borrowing much of it necessary to cope with the unforeseen covid-19 pandemic but no new debt limit since Aug. 1, 2019, when the limit was suspended for two years. Since the end of July, therefore, Treasury has lacked authority to borrow. It can shift cash among various accounts to meet obligations for a couple of months, avoiding default. With each passing day, however, that potential disaster gets slightly less unthinkable.

The right way to deal with the debt ceiling is to share the responsibility for increasing it on a bipartisan basis. That is, on the same basis that the Senate, in a welcome display of functionality, has just passed a $1.2 trillion infrastructure measure. The 2019 suspension also came about on a bipartisan vote.

Gop County Chair Blasts Pat Toomey Vote: ‘we Did Not Send Him There To Do The Right Thing’

The chair of the Republican Party in Washington County, Pennsylvania has strongly criticized Senator Pat Toomey for voting to convict former President Donald Trump.

David Ball told local CBS affiliate KDKA on Monday that state Republicans had sent Toomey to Washington to represent them and argued that he should have toed the party line.

“We did not send him there to vote his conscience. We did not send him there to do the right thing or whatever he said he was doing,” Ball said. “We sent him there to represent us.”

Toomey was one of just seven Republicans to vote with Democrats to convict Trump last week.

The final vote was 57 in favor of conviction and 43 to acquit, falling short of the two-thirds majority required.

“This is a matter of magnitude beyond a simple up or down vote on some trade policy or something,” said Westmoreland County GOP chair Bill Bretz during Monday’s KDKA segment. He was appearing with Ball to discuss the matter.

Toomey, who will retire from the Senate in 2022, explained his decision in a statement. He said he had done what he believed was right. Ball’s comment on “the right thing” seems to suggest he had read Toomey’s statement.

“As a result of President Trump’s actions, for the first time in American history, the transfer of presidential power was not peaceful,” Toomey wrote, referring to the deadly riot at the Capitol on January 6 that left five people dead.

Among these nominees, the Georgia-born Sam Hunt whose hybridization of country, hip-hop and soul announces back to the rock periods roots while also outlook Nashville for a bright future stands out not just by being better, but by selling a boatload of evidences while doing so.

Alabama Shakes has only one album of the year nomination under their loop for the aesthetic bounce forwards Sound& Color, but dont count out 2005 win Wilco, who have dad-rock call acknowledgment on their side.

This relatively new category seems to have been invoked so that the 2013 liturgy could somehow award Frank Ocean, who was one of only three campaigners during its first go-round. This years fuller, if Ocean-free, slate is fairly representing the the most powerful contemporary vocal lines derivative of R& B out there. Pity, then, that the self-loathing bummer known as The Weeknd, the Canadian import whose endless bad vibes got one of 2015s biggest thrusts, is very likely to take the prize over its challengers, all of which are more pleasant and compelling. The Internets Ego Death is splendidly weirder; Lianne La Havass Blood is full of nerve; Kehlanis You Should Be Here has youthful elan; and Miguels Wildheart wears its protagonists insecurities and deep-seated passions on its sleeve.

Best R& B album

Jazmine Sullivans Reality Show receives the Philadelphia-born belter who racked up her ninth, 10 th and 11 th vocation Grammy nominations this year colonizing a wide array of attributes, all of whom are richly gather and passed extra life by Sullivans potent expres. Its a huge step forward for Sullivan, who took a hiatus from music in 2011, and for R& B, which has been increasingly marginalized as a category thanks to the altering jazzs of radio formatting and retail contraction. Her being up against Leon Bridges, the talented Texan whose entry voices unearthed from a 60 s cache of soul slopes, and DAngelo, the legendarily reclusive funk genius whose Black Messiah should really have been given more gleam in the Big Four categories, means that a win for her is a long shot, but its long overdue.

Drake, Nicki Minaj and J Cole all have star power and Drake has claimed succes in this category before but the best rap album hasten has to boil down to Compton vs Compton. Will the old front Dr Dre, emanating off a year in which he penetrated pops firmament for good, acquire? Or will Lamar, who worshipped the outlaw-rapper-turned-headphone-mogul as small children, solidify his station as chairman of the next generation? I intend, its the Grammys, so possibly the former.( At least Eminem and Macklemore propped off from exhausting anything during the eligibility window .)

Should win: Kendrick Lamar To Pimp A Butterfly

Best country album

Having acted so well at the CMA bestows( and in the shopping frenzy following it) and as this years country person in the album of its first year category, this one is probably Stapletons to prevail in a walk. But Ashley Monroes The Blade was one of 2015 s best albums; the Pistol Annies second full-length is full of self-lacerating feeling and instantaneously hummable choruses, and Monroes steely soprano gives her on equivalence with Dolly Parton.
