Ok- like- what do you even do in this situation if you’re Kong? That thing needs four Titan-sized chain leashes to keep it down, charges up like Godzilla, and is half its size by virtue of being on four legs. It’s already double his size if proportions are accurate.

In Rome clearly, you can see statues. Wonder why they’re fighting? Scylla must’ve gotten peeved at something and Goji’s stopping her from stomping on his favorite sleepy place (the literal colosseum).

SHIMO FUCKEN BIIIIIIIG!

Regarding Scylla, there's actually a prequel comic – Godzilla X Kong: The Hunted – setting up the Goji-Scylla brawl, and I'll put details (or as many details I can recall) under the cut in case you want to track it down. If not, read away!

So the antagonist of The Hunted is this billionaire tech bro with a cybernetic arm who kidnaps superfauna from the Hollow Earth and uses them to test his Mecha up on the Topside. As for how he gets away with this with a Monarch outpost set up in the Hollow Earth, maybe he's got signal blocker tech, or his cyber arm can cause SIGNALIS-style feedback loops or something, who knows. What a cartoon character this guy is, dude decorates his island mansion with Titan statues, or stuffed displays or something. This dude's building himself up to bigger and stronger fights so he can one day fight Godzilla, because it turns out that oh no! He lost his family and also his arm in the events of 2014! I think his family was in Las Vegas at the time, which makes it darkly funny, because Tech Bro is on a revenge kick and Femuto was literally just going for an after lunch walk.

Godzilla knows some shit is happening, so Tech Bro throws the Big G off his trail by futzing with some signals which, if I recall correctly, ends up causing Scylla to go on a Nuclear Power Plant Feeding Frenzy. Bernie's keeping tabs on the situation and provides commentary/narration. One power plant goes full Elephant's Foot by the time she's done. Goji's chasing after her but can't catch up to make her cut the shit out... until Rome, which is where we get Godzilla vs Scylla. Also, JAYSUS WEPT, but did they amp up the spidery aesthetic for Scylla?! She's activating my arachnophobia, damn!

But what happens to Tech Bro? Lemme tell ya: Tech Bro suits up in his We Have Pacific Rim At Home-ass Mecha and goes fucking around in the Hollow Earth. One of the new critters introduced is this thorny tailed puma cat thing, and Tech Bro spots two cubs playing. Like a scumbag, he goes to kill them. Mama Thorn Cat intervenes to protect her babies but is killed, and Tech Bro (having gleefully become the same sadistic family-destroying monster he views the Titans as) chases down the cubs to brutally kill them...

But Kong shows up to save the day! Tech Bro puts up a fight and he's yammering all about how Kong's just a big dumb monkey and has nothing to him but his size (dude must have slept on the Hong Kong Fight, because only a Hubristic Dumbass would underestimate Kong), and that "I, as a cool big dick human man with money and a TRAGIC BACKSTORY am the REAL HUNTER AND NOT YOU" and long story short Kong drops his Mecha down a cliff and bricks it. Tech Bro escapes his busted ass mecha whining about the cost of his Mecha, and ends up killed by the same cubs he tried to kill. Circle of Life, you love to see it.

my unasked for hades 2 overview for no one that asked

first off im gonna say this game is so much fun and wildly different than the first game which doesnt make it feel as repetitive as i thought. a lot of hades 2 focuses on longer range attacks which definitely will take a while to get used to as someone who replayed hades 1 a bit before playing thinking itd be similar playstylewise

the main new introduced gimmick is charged attacks and a change cast that is a circle placed on the ground over a launcher which i LOVE now but the weapon charge attacks are really hit or miss for me. im also a tad disappointed with the weapons i like the staff and the skull but the axe and twin flames arree kinda difficult to use with how i play. the sickle im neutral on and i think theres one more i dont have unlocked

the environments are gorgeous. end tweet the only time i remember im playing an early access game is coming across placeholder assets.

a bit of the combat feels like itll get rebalanced later but its not the Worst. its not really buggy besides like 3 really minor things most ppl wont notice (my timer turning off when i reopened the game, sometimes damage numbers dont show when i hit hecate, not being able to change my monitor in settings)

i do not like how you cannot trade ur tools once you get into a run..i forget what i have sometimes..the tarot card upgrades are a cool concept and fit the witchy theme

i feel..less attached to a lot of the characters than the first one which is funny bc i didnt really care too much about them in the first bc the story writing in 1 is awful but character interactions were fun sometimes. melinoe's design is. not Bad but its not really great it feels a bit too disconnected from..like everything when it feels like shes supposed to be a mix of hades but with evidence of being raised by hecate but the orange and blonde hair............girl i do not like it are they allergic to giving a woman dark hair (minus like.. nemesis) (in trying to make melinoe the opposite of zagreus they kinda just made her into a very bland Woman she should have been a slob too idk shes kinda just like..perfect)

I DO like nemesis more than i thought. much more fun to have some woman come antagonize you other than just helping. but dora is the best character so far..my weed smoking shade roommate. i feel like my feelings on the designs are obvious but i will give a pass to chaos because i do think its a bit of a slay but i cant help but laugh at the bishounenification

scylla's songs are way better than all the vocal tracks from hades 1 like no contest in the blood sucked

the story is fairly non existent atm mostly bc i havent beaten a run yet..its..fine i guess. better than 1

the nude headshots from the bath cutscenes are so scary they need to back the fuck up

I'm back from GxK!! heres my thoughts

I sadly had quite a bit spoiled but nothing can compare to seeing the movie in person, it was sooo much cooler in the theatre.

I kinda knew going in there wouldn't be much Goji, but I did really like when he was on screen. and tbh I don't quite get why people are villainizing him so hard for killing Scylla?? Like she was just destroying things for funzies. She was causing unneeded destruction so Godzilla had enough of her shit and took her out. Tiamat I can kinda understand but she also could've just ran away instead of fighting him.

His evolved design grew on me HARD, like I almost prefer it to his original design. The pink was soooo cool and I loved the look of his atomic breath, I even liked him being thinner. I adored the glowing eyes too, like that was so fucking cool. I do kinda wish we saw him using his thagomizer but I liked it nevertheless, for me its not about how much we see Godzilla, its about how he's used and I feel like he was used pretty well in this movie.

And I'd also like to issue a formal apology to Kong and his fans. I wasn't familiar with his game. Godzillas still my boy but I ended up really liking Kong, his story was really heartfelt. You could really empathize and relate to Kong throughout the movie, his story, emotions, and everything about him made me really like him, I also loved his bond with Suko.

this is also the first time I've genuinely liked the human characters in a monsterverse movie, really the first time I've actively wanted more of them. Loved Bernie and Trapper, more then I expected too. I assumed Trapper was just gonna be obnoxious since he was in the trailers but I really liked him. Bernie too, liked him a lot more then in GvK. I also ended up liking Jia a lot more then I expected too, she was a cool character. I liked her bonds and connections to the titans.

I do wish we saw more Mothra, but she was great when she was on screen. Loved seeing her and Godzilla on screen together again, I'd love to learn more about Mothra lore in the MV tbh.

As for villains, Skar king was pretty cool. He kinda got shat on in all the trailers so he caught me off guard seeing how ruthless he was, I wouldn't put him above Ghidorah but he was cool. I also liked Shimo and her big ass forehead, her size caught me off guard too, girlies massive. Visibly bigger then both Godzilla and Kong. I genuinely felt bad for her and seeing her get freed + find a new life as Kongs friend made me smile a bit.

I liked (most of) the fights too! I really liked the hollow earth 0 gravity fight, especially Godzillas part in it. I am for sure someone who prefers when the kaiju feel massive and have a ton of weight behind them, but that fight was so cool, Goji was badass and I loved seeing his evolved form in action.

The only fight I didn't like was the fight with Scylla, a 900,000 ton animal cannot move like that. That was a bit too silly even for me, and don't get me wrong I love a bit of silly monster fighting but meh. The godzilla suplex was funny as hell though, for sure unrealistic but funny so it passes. I liked the comedy a lot in the movie tbh, more then the other movies.

Also rq, I don't get why yall were calling the movie ugly?? Like some scenes kinda but it didn't look bad at all. The cgi was fine with me and I don't see why people called it a ps4 game, some shots were a bit wonky but not enough for me to really give a shit.

Overall? pretty good movie, I feel like the pacing could slow down a bit but I genuinely enjoyed myself a lot and had a total blast watching the movie. There was never a dull moment and I'd give it a solid 8/10.

Part 1 - Bronze Saints Protagonists

Pegasus Seiya

Bisexual — with a preference for men

Gender Fluid (She/He/They) — wears a mask that flows towards the feminine

He has ADD, and, of the group, he is the one least impacted by PTSD

Currently, he gets along well with Shaina — She was the one who gave him the mask

Play Pokemon with Shun — He loves video games

He used to have a crush on Saori, but today they are just friends — Saori sees him as her best friend (she is lesbian)

He's dating Ikki — no one knows because no one questioned them

He helps Hyoga with Japanese — He speaks very quickly and informally, so Hyoga barely understands

He and Shiryu spend a lot of time together, because they have many tastes in common — they both love Japanese pop music, soccer and the same cartoons and comics

He once had red hair, because he saw a photo of a young Aiolia who dyed his hair that color — he only has short hair because of Aiolia

He has some strands of his hair dyed purple — inspired by Saori and to match Ikki

He still doesn't speak Greek very well — Marin and Touma continue to help him

He lived in an apartment with Marin, Touma and Seika until he became a Sagittarius Saint

Andromeda Shun

He became deaf after the battle of Poseidon — He wears hearing aids and knows sign language

PTSD — has episodes of depersonalization after being possessed by Hades (he prefers not to remember this)

He doesn't like Sorrento (I think you can guess the reason) — Seriously, they can't leave these two in the same room without Shun trying to kill him

Saori taught him how to paint and draw, but he does better with photography — so Saori gave him a quality camera for his birthday

He doesn't leave the house much — but he'll go anywhere with Seiya if he asks

Once, without telling anyone, he went to Siberia just to visit Hyoga — it was a shock for him and Shun's roommates who thought he was kidnapped

He and Shiryu learn j-pop and Kate Bush choreography (Seiya and Shunrei recorded everything)

He dyed Ikki's black hair blue after the battle of Hades — Shun also does Ikki's makeup lol

He lived with June and Ikki (when Ikki is around) in an apartment until he became the Virgo Saint — yes, June was living alone when Ikki went to the Leo Temple (poor girl)

He has brown hair, but he spent almost every battle with it dyed green — and he dyed his hair dark red when he returned from Hell

He previously dated Scylla Io, but they broke up before the battle of Poseidon

Cygnus Hyoga

Asexual gay — Homoromantic

Trans man (he/him)

He's had PTSD since his mother's death — it got worse after the battles, but the other Bronzes and Saori are helping him

He and Saori paint their nails together — they also tell each other Sanctuary gossip

He doesn't speak Japanese well — he has a strong accent

Hyoga doesn't admit it but he likes hanging out with Seiya — they both go to arcades a lot

Shun constantly goes to Siberia or the Aquarius Temple just to talk to Hyoga — he likes it, but he refuses to admit it

He has had several jobs (he was fired from them all) — including: hairdresser, bartender, night dancer (funny story), secretary and pharmacist

He once tried to shave Shiryu's hair when he was working as a hairdresser

He played cupid for Seiya and Ikki — seriously, he was the one who organized their first date

He has a photograph of Camus and Isaak on the wall of the Aquarius Temple — he's not completely over it, but he's gotten used to the pain

Dragon Shiryu

Pansexual — no preferences

Cis Man (he/they)

He's still blind, but it doesn't even affect him anymore

He is self-functioning autistic and has PTSD — He has hyperfocus on superhero comics

He sews A LOT — It helps him control some crises

Shunrei (and sometimes Seiya) braids his hair — Shiryu looks beautiful

He is of Chinese descent and his mother language is Mandarin — Unlike some people, he speaks Japanese and Greek very well

He helped Hyoga get several of his many jobs — Hyoga only became a pharmacist with Shiryu's help

Seiya, Shun and him went to a Kate Bush concert

He's Saori's right-hand man — He can use Excalibur because of this (it's just one of the reasons)

He gives great advice — especially to Ikki

He and Shunrei are almost married — they lived together (until he went to the Libra Temple) and have two children

He has some very strange dreams about Shura — and it's just about Shura, not Dohko or Deathmask, just Shura

Genbu calls him "Rapunzel" — in the original story Rapunzel's prince becomes blind lol

Phoenix Ikki

Bisexual — with a preference in men

Demi boy (he/she/they)

has hallucinations because of PTSD — sometimes has violent reactions

He paints a lot — Saori taught him

He dates Seiya — and doesn't understand why no one notices, why the two never let go of each other and he stays more at the Sagittarius Temple than at Leo's

He wears makeup and a skirt when no one is looking — only Shun and Seiya know and they even do his makeup

He asks Shiryu for a lot of advice — Ikki is very insecure when making decisions

He likes birds — he draws birds and gives the drawings to Seiya

He gets along very well with Kanon, the two have many tastes in common — they like the same films, series and video games

He listens to Shakira — loves Estoy Aquí

He still doesn't know that it was Hyoga who organized his dates with Seiya

Also, for the sake of crack, what do you think of Severus/Peter, Marvolo/Albefort and Umbridge/Fudge/Scrimgeour?

james potter/severus snape

snames isn’t really a pairing i vibe with, because - in my view - they don’t have any particularly interesting points of narrative convergence or divergence. snack - snape and sirius - is a hot ship because they’re narrative mirrors: they have identical experiences of and attitudes towards grief, duty, atonement and so on, caused by the fact that they are both indirectly responsible for killing the person they love the most; they both have complicated relationships with their families; they are both outsiders among their peer groups; their differences are polar opposites - sirius is rich, snape is poor, sirius is an outsider within gryffindor, snape is an outsider within slytherin, sirius is attractive, snape is ugly; and so on.

but snames doesn’t have that spark. their differences don’t exist on a scale, like snape’s do with sirius, they just exist as separate categories of experience. james is beloved by his family, snape is not. james is an inherent insider, whose whole family have been in gryffindor, snape is an inherent outsider. james is rich, but his wealth doesn’t come with strings attached, whereas sirius’ is obviously only something he’s permitted to access if he conforms to his parents’ restrictive social views and snape has none at all. james is a physical everyman - neither as ugly as snape nor as good-looking as sirius - and, therefore, someone who has no idea how it feels to stand out because of your looks (or name, or choices).

that said, james’ obvious sexual jealousy of snape could definitely be because he wants to bang him. i think we can all see him trying to get to lily by befriending her bestie, only to end up in love. good for him.

lily evans/james potter

i don’t really care about jily, beyond saying that james deserves our respect for bagging a baddie.

i don’t subscribe to the common anti-jily position that if they’d lived they wouldn’t have stayed together - nor that they weren’t sincerely compatible - i’m just not particularly interested in them because i think that there are far more engaging first-war characters, and that fics in which both of them live always kind of flop. harry is just much less interesting if he’s just from a happy home.

what i do like about jily is thinking about the other marauders’ reactions to it. the fact that sirius and lupin never mention lily is - of course - a narrative necessity, since the harry potter series needs to keep the fact of her centrality to the mystery hidden until the very last minute, but i am committed to ignoring that and being sincerely convinced that neither of them liked her. in sirius’ case, because she took the man he obviously loves from him. in lupin’s, idk, who cares about him.

eileen prince/tobias snape

my view on this is informed by the fact that i simply do not accept the fanon that eileen is from an elite pureblood family - she can’t be! her marriage to a muggle man is announced in the daily prophet! what purebloods are doing that?

the only person who ever suggests she might be is harry, who does so on the basis of no evidence, in order to force a comparison between snape and voldemort as a way of soothing his furious grief over dumbledore’s death. but one of the central jokes in voldemort’s background is that he is - by far - the most aristocratic character in the entire series, in both the magical and muggle worlds, but he is denied access to the social cachet this brings in the muggle world because he’s raised in an orphanage and never acknowledged by tom riddle sr. and in the wizarding world because he has a muggle name which means he’s denied access to the lineage-based hierarchy of wizarding society, even though he’s descended from slytherin. it doesn’t make sense, then, for snape to be in the same position - the uniqueness of voldemort’s parentage is the point.

i think of eileen, then, as a half-blood. i also think of her, regardless of her blood-status, as being from a working-class background herself, rather than raised in ancestral majesty. [after all, we have andromeda for that.]

i also think of her and tobias as childhood friends - from the same class background and the same area - with magic the only difference between them. i love this as a trope, because the canonical series does far too little interrogation of the fact that - for all dumbledore and the order’s grandstanding over the inherent goodness of the muggle world - all but one of the mixed muggle-magical relationships we see in canon fail*, all muggleborn children extract themselves totally from the world of their birth, and the two worlds are as completely segregated by the good guys as they are by the death eaters. eileen discovering that magic - which looked so unlikely to cause an issue when she fell in love with toby aged ten - causes the man she adores to despise her, the son she loves to resent her, and the poverty in which she lives to continue unabated is something i think is really valuable to explore.

plus, the idea that eileen - in her son’s eyes - threw away her prestigious magical education to return to a cotton-town slum and marry a poor man provides the perfect explanation for why severus snape makes the choices he makes in his adult life.

[*we hear of four muggle-magical relationships in canon - jkr has added several more in her post-series writing, undoubtedly because she realised how this looks: tom riddle sr. and merope gaunt, tobias and eileen, dean’s parents, and seamus’ parents. we all know what happened to tom and merope, tobias and eileen are canonically a violent, unhappy marriage, dean’s dad leaves his mum when he’s a baby, and seamus’ parents may or may not still be together.]

peter pettigrew/severus snape

so, can we all agree that making snape and wormtail live together for a summer is a god-tier petty move from lord voldemort? imagining him rocking up at spinner’s end with wormtail in tow and saying ‘he’s doing my head in, so he’s your problem now’ sends me every time.

i think they fuck once or twice - what else is there to do in cokeworth? - but neither of them enjoy it.

aberforth dumbledore/marvolo gaunt

i’m sorry, but i can’t stand the disrespect being shown by this question towards one of my favourite canon couples… aberforth/goat.

cornelius fudge/rufus scrimgeour/dolores umbridge

hot!

after all, scrimgeour is gassing her up to harry when he visits him in half-blood prince, and you only do that if the sex is good.

my theory, though? fudge isn’t on board with it - his vibe in canon is that he appreciates umbridge’s bureaucratic loyalty to him but he’d love to stop getting raunchy letters from her, and when rufus suggested that they add a third to their bedroom activities it never occurred to him that she’d be in contention. he wishes he’d known. he’d have vetoed.

Oooh thank you for this amazing question, @eirian-houpe! <3 I love to gush over my favorite fics, because I am blessed to be friends with more than a few extremely talented Tolkien writers. The problem is, there are SO MANY great stories written by them, and I'm sad I can't mention them all. But I will narrow it down for this Ask by running with my blorbo/obsession of the week, Eomer Eadig.

“You need not leave.” His voice was hoarse. “Please. I swore you would be safe under my care until dawn. And besides—” He reached for your hand, halting your panicked escape. “You did nothing I have not dreamed of myself.”

It took a long moment for his words to sink in. “You mean…Eomer, you—”

“Come back to bed.” Eomer leaned in, close enough now that you could see the desire glinting dark in his eyes. “I would feel your touch again.”

“Eomer—”

So what do I like about this story, as shown in this excerpt? (Though the writing speaks for itself, I mean, come on. That's just masterful!)

Scylla is one of my top favorite writers (I would like to point out that favorite writer/stories is also a matter of personal preference), and here are the qualities her writing possesses that lends to my enjoyment of pretty much all her stories:

Canon characters are spot on in portrayal, matching how I personally envision them in my head. Every single one she has tackled so far.

OCs or Readers are always likeable, relatable, and authentic.

Dialogue is snappy, never stilted or forced, and often even funny without ever being corny.

Speech of characters fits the Middle-earth setting. Fluid and even poetic sometimes.

Descriptions of actions or settings are concise but still vivid. Brevity is nailed!

Romance is always tender and heartfelt and swoon-worthy pretty much without fail.

Demonstrates how sex/smut isn't even necessary for a fic to get you very hot and bothered.

It is very difficult to check all these boxes, but I am fortunate to know several writers who do! It is always a pleasure to read, review, and recommend their fics. ❤️ Please watch out for them in my reblogs!

In what order do they reunite?

Also, Raph stayed with Splinter, right? Does that mean he had to control his "Savage Raph Mode" earlier on in his childhood? And does Splinter act any different? I've seen some other people make him more protective and present in whichever turtle had been saved

I'm very interested in Leo and Big Mama's whole thing. Will it be like how she did with Lou Jitsu, but instead of the love part, like how she did with him, would it be motherly love them once he was old enough, just threw him in the Nexus? Or does he even fight in it?

Also, would some of Big Mama's speech patterns rub off on him, like how she makes up funny words even when being serious

What would Donnie be to Draxum? A son? Assistant in the lab? Both? Or just an experiment?

And how does Donnie see Draxum?

Since Donnie grew up with mystic stuff, would he be more open to using it along with his tech?

Thank you SOOOOO MUCH for these questions!! To be honest, I had like just started thinking about this, so these actually helped formulate a lot of the au ngl-

Splinter straight up told Raph that he had brothers when he was younger, and the twins knew each other because Baron and Big Mama have such frequent interactions that they used to hang out together, along with Leo's adoptive siblings, Venus, Scylla, and Crollo. (Those last two are OCS.) They don't get along super well, but they talk a lot.

So the order they reunite is, Donnie and Leo, then the twins and Mikey, and then they all meet Raph.

Raph definitely has a lot more anxiety, to the point where he is selectively non-verbal. Due to this, Splinter definitely had to step up a bit more to make sure his kid didn't fucking die, but as he doesn't have as much to do in way of raising kids, since it's been pared down by around 75%, he definitely relaxes more.

All pretty positive! I... don't like writing angst lmao, so they're all pretty close with their guardians. Big Mama, in my ideas at least, is nice and kind and loving to all her adoptive children, the Foot are a bit harsh, but they still love Mikey, and Draxum and Donnie, while they have a very Jinx and Silco esque relationship, it's still got a lot of care and love behind it. Which, for a Jinx and Silco esque relationship, does check out. (LEAVE ME ALONE YOU KNOW I'M RIGHT.)

Mikey. He was already the most chaotic bitch in this group and growing up in a warrior clan with Cassandra Jones did not help.

They all know, as I said earlier. The twins hang out all the time so they don't care, but everyone really wants to meet Raph someday. And Raph really wants to meet them.

The Doctors are Still a thing for Mikey. He's still the optimist of the group, except much less controlled. If anything, Doctor Delicate Touch comes out a lot More! And yes, the Foot Clan are terrified of them.

Leo and Big Mama have a really loving relationship! She wouldn't throw a literal child into the Battle Nexus, and besides, he's her son. He is her son, she has claimed him as her child and she is not giving him up any time soon. He straight up just... volunteers for the Battle Nexus. He grew up watching his older brother Crollo (oc) fight in it, and he was like "Damn, that looks like fun," so once he was old enough he just asked. Took some convincing, but eventually, he got to go!

Sometimes when he gets really mad, he starts talking like her. It's hilarious. Donnie has to physically stop himself from laughing every goddamn time.

Donnie is like a reluctantly adoptive son to Draxum. When he learned he had gotten the soft shell, he felt a bit swindled at first, but the kid was so much like him that he became quickly endeared to him. They're not super affectionate, but they definitely love each other. And Donnie sees Draxum as his parental unit.

He's definitely more open to incorporating it, but it's too finicky for him. He doesn't like it, he can never quite predict the outcome and that scares him.

Somehow I feel like Felix is actually the least jealous!! But he is the most scandalized!!!

He's more self-confident than his initial 'dredging for spirits in this veritable backwater' rant would make you think. He's been in a successful long-term relationship (aside from the whole death thing) so he kinda knows how to be self-assured and everything.

But Felix is a little bit of a Gremlin™ and he just has a flair for the dramatic.

Someone starts trying to chat you up and Felix literally just grabs your hand and drags you away because He's Still Working Up The Courage To Ask You Out Give Him A Couple Days

I just think it genuinely is funny if like,, he grabs your hand, laces your fingers together and says Listen, Dear, He Has Something He Wants To Ask You. But He Has To Prepare Himself. Can You Trust Him On This? You Can? Splendid!

And I mean yeah he's blushing the entire time but he's also leaps and bounds ahead of the other three so like

Good for Felix. You get it king. Take your time you have some trauma to work through and realizations to dawn on

He gets you guys matching jewelry or something and you wear it in public so that way when someone hits on you and Felix comes over and the person sees you guys are matching

But then as soon as you turn around to face her she's all smiley sunshine because she's supportive!

And you turn back around to face the other person and she is once again immediately back in Rage Mode.

Anisa is shy about touching you but she doesn't mind touching your outfit. So you can constantly find her adjusting your cloak and brushing off your shoulders and generally giving you lil touches.

I just think it's funny if you know what she's doing but she's still playing innocent.

If you do start hitting on someone then she'll stand aside (though she does linger nearby just in case things get dangerous) and not interfere.

Oh me oh my, my sweet self-loathing tropes, poor Anisa is bothered and beating herself up. Not particularly for not making a move on you (since she's still trying to be professional and respect boundaries) but for falling for you in the first place when she knows she can't have you. She tries to tell herself it's better this way, that you deserve someone who's strong and brave and honest. Someone who hasn't lied to the world with every breath they draw. Someone who doesn't have darkness in their DNA.

But it still hurts.

And if you go on dates?? I'm not saying she and Saaros are gonna discreetly follow along under the guide of wanting you to be safe but it's really so Annie can torture herself and be sad, but I am saying that you can clearly see that Anisa is wearing a really terrible wig and Saaros is just super boredly pushing an ice cube around the table and watching it melt.

The day after she asks how your date went and at this point you're kinda just messing with her so you start talking about it with a heart-eyes voice (whatever that would sound like) and she's just,,,

I think Sage is my favorite to write jealousy stuff before because I absolutely love seeing anti-attachment (playboy-esque) characters getting an emotional pipe to the knees when they realize that not only are they in love, but they have no idea what to do about it because it's never happened before, and also they're forced to address their own self-worth issues and they just fuckin crumble a little. Little bit. Itty bitty bit.

Anyways let's talk about the fact that he brings you to the bar kinda often (since he spends a lot of time there) and you get hit on!! Probably at least once every time you guys go out! And every time it happens Sage is just >:(

I think,, that,,, Sage would be the kind of guy to where someone is hitting on you and he just casually slides up and throws an arm around your shoulders and be like :3 Hai :3 What Do You Want With My MC :3 Yeah That's Right They're Mine Back The Fuck Off :3 like he doesn't say it but he has that energy.

Does Sage realize how hypocritical it is for him to be jealous when he has his reputation? Yes.

But that's the other thing, I think that if you were to like,, have sex with someone,, he wouldn't really mind. What he is bothered by is the idea that you might meet someone better than him and then you'll realize how horrible he is and you'll leave him

Do I think Sage has abandonment issues? Yes. Actually I think all the Starsworn have some degree of abandonment issues but that's neither here nor there

Since Sage is a regular at the bar (or at least a lot of people know him) I think he might even like,, tell people to keep their greasy hands off you,,, not because you're his or anything (he's painfully aware that you aren't) but because 1. a lot of the people here are like him, aka they're horrible drunks, and 2. because you're going out to enjoy a drink, not deal with shitty pick-up lines

No but back to what I was saying I think Sage is constantly touching you. Arm around your shoulders, shoulder pressed against yours, knees bumping under the table.

If he's drunk and someone comes to talk to you he just growls and softly headbutts your arm because He Is A Cat And You Need To Give Him Attention Already !!! but he doesn't actually talk. He just makes little noises.

Listen okay cats will scent marks things that make them feel safe/comfortable and so Sage is constantly scent-marking you so that other ilephtas don't try anything. And since he's constantly touching you somehow his fur gets all over you and that sends the message to humans. Especially when he's next to you all the time.

If you start flirting with someone, then Sage won't interfere. He wants you to have fun and do your own thing. He'll swallow his jealousy as much as he possibly can but he also,, might,,, not be able to stay in the room. If you talk to him about it afterwards he'll try really hard to be supportive and make jokes about it and whatever but on the inside he just feels all twisted up in his tummy.

Ultimately he wants you to be happy,, he's just,,, sad that it couldn't be him.

Spends the entire day sulking a little bitty bit

Possibly in your bed. I've said it before and I'll say it every time it's relevant, I think that Sage (as a cat) finds your scent comforting and when he's upset he kinda just goes into your room and mopes. Has the added benefit of getting his fur everywhere on your bed because he's petty like that.

And then you get back to Fathom like 'Oh I met my friend's partner and they're super sweet they're such a cute couple' and Sage immediately regains +10000 happy points

He refuses to acknowledge that he's jealous. When Tulsi asks him about it, he innocently says that he's just looking out for you and wants to keep you safe!! He is a Good Wholesome Boi!! :3

Tulsi honestly isn't sure whether Sage realizes how transparent he is or not. She ultimately decides he isn't because he's really stupid and stubborn.

Okay anon but what if I,, like,,,, like instead of making this about you and Rime (as a traditional M4 post would be) what if I made it about Rime being jealous of you because he still loves Felix?? Cause I could do that. I won't. But I could. Maybe I should.

Between Anisa, Sage, and Rime, I actually can't decide who has the most self-loathing. But I think that it initially comes through the strongest with Rime because at this point (since it's pre-relationship we can assume it's before LoS has announced his re-emergence) he's the only one that knows LoS is alive and planning something.

I'm,, really,,, really upset we're not getting a Rime route. Not even because of the romance but because I want to know more about his (working) relationship with LoS and just,, how that happened. Like did Felix's spell actually work at all or was it entirely just LoS that brought him back? I actually do not know. Maybe it's mentioned in Felix's route but right now I can't remember so like,, I I dunno. Not really the point.

The point I'm making is that not only does Rime have jealousy problems, he also has a lot of self-hatred because he's evil and obviously you deserve better than that so he's like,, not having a great time with these feelings. Especially since his initial thing was like,, killing you?? And then he falls in love with you and it's like Fuck.

Once he accepts that he's in love with you and wants to ask you out then he's punched in the face by the fact that, Oh Yeah, You Have Suitors

anisa - hades,, anisa who fits into the leadership role so easily you’d assume she belonged in the stately zeus cabin only to find out she’s hades’ kid; anisa who works so hard to stay out of the shadow of his reputation; anisa refusing to use necromancy child of prophecy anisa perhaps 😳

felix - hecate,, obviously because magicTM but also necromancy abilities (i’m trusting riordan wiki on this) would be a fun parallel to draw with anisa being anti-necromancy hehe, also the idea of florian leaving escell for another magician is so funny to me (i’m choosing to make scylla the mortal kid here for Extra Sibling Angst)

sage - ares/hephaestus,, ares felt like the most obvious choice i mean good with weapons? check. anger issues and always dtf? check. (clarisse+selina/ achilles+patroclus parallel with sage and mc owo); but ALSO tulsi is def heph kid,, don’t separate tulsi and sage they’re a package deal🥺 and pyro powers for sage would be SO cool,, but also also the thought of them finding each other on the way to camp, spending the first few months in the hermes cabin together, then getting separated when they’re claimed makes me sad and i love being sad

lucan + elowen - nemesis,, every elowen scene for the first few chapters make this a very obvious choice ksjfdf,, but also lucan taking it upon himself to bring balance and excise all that is evil and rotten himself,, lucan who’s got a bone to pick with the gods,, lucan and elowen on opposite sides of the war,, their parent must’ve been real hot for nemesis to hit it twice

saaros - aphrodite/athena,, bit of a difficult choice since we still don’t know much of them

azimuth - oracle,, do consider saaros going on quests despite hating the hassle, just to tell azimuth of all the cool things they find outside 🥺

headcanons of my babies being fugitives of state together bc I love the scooby gang - part 1 (? (I just feel like they're gonna keep coming)

- they go thrifting for civilian disguises. A full montage of trying on funny hats and sunglasses ensue

- they share clothes. I feel like tally and scylla would be the ones to have the most fun with this and constantly be trading around stuff with each other. Though scylla takes raelle's shirts over everything almost every day.

- scylla is a pigeon crow lady now

- you can find her feeding them worms outside every once in a while

- she talks to them and they all have names

- dumb ones too, like blackberry, lord cawster, russel crowe, feather fawcett, crowbar jr., etc (you all win extra points if you can give me more of these i'm dying for more)

- everyone else is weirded out and honestly a little scared. Raelle finds it endearing

- they eventually find a house and start being a little found family

- quinn is the montessori mom who 100% missed her calling as a kindergarten teacher.

- She never had biological children and suddenly she's given 6 very powerful yet very chaotic witch kids but she's managing and honestly we should all applaud her for that

- nicte is the wine mom (with a criminal past). She acts like she doesn't care as long as they're not abt to die, but deep down she loves being part of the idiot gang

- she's also quite insightful when they want advice

- they train their magic together in the backyard like a little boot camp and nicte whoops their ass constantly

- the kids eventually start to bicker as they develop into a little family and have to learn to communicate better together as they go

- it's mostly dumb stuff tho, like who's gonna do which chore

- also 95% of the times it's abigail and scylla

- abigail is canonically v bossy and scylla just doesn't really care for that (she also thinks it's funny to push her buttons sometimes)

- they eventually bond over being the ones that would a 1000% commit a plethora of war crimes to keep the little found family safe

- like all of them would die for each other but Abigail and scylla would burn the world for their friends/SOs and they eventually gain respect towards each other bc of that

- Khalida is everyone's little sister

- being the youngest in the group they can't help but be protective (and a little teasing) of her constantly

- she pretends it doesn't but it annoys her to no end

- "I'm a leader of my people, damn it! My ancestors picked my mind to keep their knowledge for the next centuries to be! You will NOT rustle my hair like an undignified little baby!" Abigail: "Yeah you're also like 4 feet tall so tough luck"

- they all love each other a lot tho

- they sit around in the backyard after training and tell stories around the fire

- they also dance and sing songs and have a little bit of nice normal carefree times together for the first time in a while

- between Adigail and raylla it's almost torture every single day for mostly everyone in the house

- the pda is INTENSE.

- it's almost always raylla but Abigail and Adil have their moments too

- (I have a feeling raelle would be the one to not give a single fuck and constantly get scylla flustered by kissing the daylight out of her in front of people but that's a one-shot for another day)

- m and gregorio eventually make their way to the fam too

- they all have to do missions together and are little shits about it the whole way

- the scooby gang is strong together but they DO NOT get along well under pressure

- once they're in a mission and gregorio says he has to pee when they're in a really sensitive moment and Abigail almost croaks on the spot

- abigail: Tally give me the safe opening thingy.

Tally:........

abigail, trying not to blow a fuse as she's hung upside down inside the security room of a bank: you forgot the damn thing AGAIN, didn't you?

Tally: I'M A SEER I'M NOT A REMEMBERER!

- yule with them would be the cutest thing ever

- them sitting around the yule log giving each other presents 🥺

- quinn playing the piano and them all taking turns singing holiday songs

- Petra, Edwin and Anacostia are there

- they all made the dinner together like a sweet little family, with apple pie and everything

- scylla, Adil, khalida and Tally can probably cook, the rest of them absolutely cannot

What is something that you hope to see Raelle and Scylla do or achieve in an upcoming episode?

Taylor Hickson: I'm hoping Scylla gets a chance to fully explain herself. I feel we're still missing huge parts of her backstory. It would be incredibly interesting to hear her justify why she chose the path she did and what led her there. I feel that's at least owed to Raelle and definitely the audience!

Amalia Holm: I hope Scylla gets a chance to properly explain herself to Raelle and that Raelle keeps an open mind. I hope that her senses are not clogged by anger and sadness and that their love will prevail.

Do you have any headcanons about Raylla?

TH: I have a strange feeling (maybe more of a hope) that the mall girl is a different person than Scylla. I don't have much to back this up other than intuition... I know as much as you guys do!

AH: I think they goof around a lot, including make funny voices. I also think they almost compete in generosity towards one another: e.g. fighting over who is giving up the last piece of lobster.

The witches of Fort Salem definitely aren’t perfect (e.g. collateral damage in battle). How, if at all, do you think that these failings can be resolved, and who do you think will be the ones to resolve it?

TH: Even having healers among the military, it's seemingly impossible to save every life. If anyone, I think Tally could petition the best outcome considering her enthusiasm for the cause and need for justice. Maybe even finding a way to please all parties involved- including the government and The Spree.

AH: In accordance with Scylla, I think that there has to be a reset and a rethinking of the entire conscription system. Until then, I think a change of leadership is a good idea: the system might need to undergo a systematic change from within. At the same time, the benefit of having Alder in power is that we know more about her than any other prospect.

What’s the most memorable thing that happened while filming?

TH: On the first day of shooting with Ashley, I licked barbecue sauce off of her pants and Jess licked her face. At the same time. We got real close real fast.

AH: The scene in episode 7 where Raelle and Scylla are united just to be separated while crying. That scene was so emotional and we both gave our all in a sense that created a very intimate moment. I would not want to be without that experience, neither professionally nor personally.

Can you share the funniest photo on your phone from set?

Were there any improvised or spontaneous Raylla moments that happened on the show?

TH: Too many to count. There were so many little moments. So much can change on the day of shooting -- entire scenes can be rewritten! Sometimes because a writer has realizations, or because of a location, or the team thinks it feels better another way. We were blessed to have a collaborative group that truly listened to how we felt. Amalia was an INCREDIBLE scene partner. So innovative. She really thinks on the fly and follows her intuition. After doing something 17 times, she always finds a way to make it feel exciting and new. She sure can keep you on your toes (sometimes OFF)! Ultimately, my favorite thing about sharing a scene with her is her ability to make time slow down. She has such a patient energy to her; very present and grounded. I'm someone who loves to rush through everything, so it's often difficult for me to truly drop in and stay there. Amalia always kept a free and creative air around her and it's incredibly contagious. I really found this allowed for deeper connection and more play.

AH: There were some! I think most of them had to do with mine and Taylor’s physical ways of expressing love, as a cherry on top of a scene. In episode 3, there is a scene by the lacrosse field where the two say goodbye and I felt that the one scripted kiss was not enough for Scylla, so I leaned in for one more. I also improvised a playful lift in episode 5 that just felt natural in the context of the dialogue and the need to cheer each other up.

What’s your favorite Raylla scene? Why?

TH: I would definitely say the first Salva scene. It was iconic in establishing roots for the relationship and giving it a strong sense of direction. The beauty of Jon Joffin's cinematography gave it an otherworldly, almost psychedelic feel, and Brandon Roberts' score rounded out the scene in its intimacy. We shot both in the studio and on location, and seeing the finished product all tied in with special effects (I'm in love with the fireflies), helped me understand the initial pressure around shooting that scene. It paved the way for a legendary love. *chefs kiss* to our team!

AH: My favorite Raylla scene so far is at the end of episode 4 — at the sunrise after the night of Beltane when they walk together, both having had some serious turmoil within themselves. It is so beautifully shot. It’s up there next to the scene in episode 5 where Raelle says “She goes where I go” because the entire scene is charged with so much from all characters. Hmm, I do also love the deathcap scene at the graveyard in episode 2, but that one is so early on in the relationship, it’s kind of before they were even Raylla.

Motherland Fort Salem 2x10

Because it’s the finale and I want to end on a high note I’m only going to talk about the things I enjoyed in this episode:

- I liked that our little unit got their moment of glory, and that it was such a traumatizing act. Tally’s character as the WITNESS (of truth, of justice, of the atrocities of war, of the way things change, and don’t) makes her involvement in Penelope’s death (she watched) perfect. Meanwhile, Raelle and Abigail worked together to kill her and save the day... we ended the season as we started it, with a Bellweather and a Collar joining their powers, which is how they are most powerful. The way this horrible thing they had to do bonds the three of them even more intricately than before, but also has clearly affected them deeply... I hope we explore this in season 3.

- The plot point of “our heroines will now be tried for murder” was... so dumb... but whatever, I could not care less, because I’ve wanted the three of them to become fugitives for SO LONG and this show finally gave it to me. They’re on the run! THE WHOLE GANG IS IN A VAN TOGETHER! WHAT CRAZY SHENANIGANS WILL THEY GET INTO! I love that for me.

- Scylla and Anacostia reuniting! Anacostia telling her “we’ll be in touch” and Scylla saying “yes, ma’am” and Anacostia’s little smile that’s a third pride, a third affection, a third plain exasperation! I LOVE THEM YOUR HONOR.

- Speaking of reunions, I actually laughed out loud when we get Raelle and Abigail hugging their bf/gf and then... Tally... hugging... an older woman... ON BRAND asjhdlasjhlakshlash she really has a type

- Actually Tally switching from her og military war crimes milf to her new terrorist milf... pls. I know they’re pushing Gregorio as her love interest but the way they have Nicte acting with her is so FUNNY like come on! Alder barely got mushroomed! Have some decency!

- Penelope’s father being with the Camarilla was predictable, but I’m glad it’s finally revealed so we can move along with that whole thing.

- Petra and Anacostia make a formidable team. Petra facing off the president was fantastic. Petra saving and trusting her daughter, and finally setting her free... The army is going rogue, and I am all for it.

Wishes for the last season:

- Can we please not have season 3 end with the status quo PLEASE. I want the Army dismantled. The Spree gone. The Camarilla destroyed.

- Abigail’s arc... Okay, I’ll reserve my judgement on what they’re doing with her until I see season 3, especially since we got that little tidbit from Creepy Camarilla Guy about the union of sky and earth, but :/ yeah. Please treat her fairly.

-They better give me a lot of screen time with our kids (plus friends) on the run, please. I want a MILLION SCENES of them bonding and having dumb little domestic fights and being friends. Scylla and Abigail making breakfast together in the most unnecessarily competitive way. Nicte flirting with Tally in front of everyone. Nicte and Scylla talking about the Spree together. Raelle and Tally and Abigail falling asleep all cuddled together, and the camera pans to the side to Scylla and Adil who are just like. Cool. No cuddles for us. Dope. That’s fine. Hey wanna get drunk and bond? Also: WHO IS DRIVING THIS VAN? (The only answer I’ll accept is Khalida.)

- Alder you better stay in your mushroom! I’ve had enough of this dude witch.

Which LL Characters are invited to the Carne Asada

Carne Asada, The Cookout, The Barbecue, The Family Picnic if you will

I will be grading the Last Legacy characters based on if I trust them to interact with my Mexican ass family

1. Felix

NO ABSOLUTELY NOT

This boy would embarrass himself and then probably say something stupid/insulting to my relatives. He LOVES to brag and ik that would not bode well. Also Felix is such a light weight, my uncles are the type to take shots at a funeral, no way he would survive They would also try to feed him such much food.

2. Anisa

Yes, however

I know she would be so awkward. She would be way too nice and take any food given to her and eat until she is sick. But once she starts drinking I know Anisa would be fun and dance with all the Tías and Tíos. But then she would definitely drink way too much (she likes a challenge) and get sloshed leading to a terrible hang over the next day

3. Sage

Nooooo definitely not

Sage would get way too drunk and somehow swindle everyone out of their money in cards. However I do know he would eat a lot and the Abeulas would love him for it. Yea he can hold himself in a drinking game but Sage is just way too chaotic and would probably catch something on fire

4. Rime

No way in hell

Rime would piss everyone off and then steal cake I just know it. I dont think he would drink and he would refuse more food if he didnt want it. Stinky deer man

5. Saaros

I love Saaros but no

Their dry humor and tendency to be a little snobby would also piss everyone off lmao. And I feel like they would complain about the food. Something about the enchiladas having too much cheese (no such thing) they would probably sit in the corner and sip the same margarita the whole night

6. Tulsi

Maybe

I feel like Tulsi is very similar to Sage and would also get drunk and eat lots of food. But I feel like she could also be lots of fun. But I also feel like Tulsi is kind of awkward socially? She might just keep to herself but if Sage were also there it would be chaos

7. Elowen

Yes!!

I love Elowen, she comes off as scary and mean but she’s actually so sweet. But shes also very shy so I’d be worried about her feeling too awkward. I think would also keep to herself but would be nice to everyone so she’s welcome to come but I wont force her

8. Escell

Not that he would even show up but no. Escell is a stinky rat man and would depress/judge everyone. If he DID go he would get way too drunk and be very inappropriate. Blocked

9. Scylla

She gives up tight vibes. She would stress me out the whole time I wouldn’t know what to do. I dont think she would enjoy it either. Would also probably nurse a drink in the corner hating her life. Say the music is too loud or something. Might flirt

10. Florian

Yes!!! 100%!

I just know Florian would have so much fun. He would eat, drink, laugh, dance. All the stuff you do at a party. I just know Florian would be a 10/10 guest and everyone would love him. He just seems so nice and welcoming

Idk why I thought of this but I thought it would be funny lmao

I love all these characters but sometimes they’re a lil dumb ❤️
