Ok so Lind is not technically confirmed to be dead, however it's very heavily implied he died offscreen. Source is the Twitter leaker where the initial leaks came from and all the information we got about the thing a few weeks ago:

God this is why I make an effort to never get attached to MV humans. All the stuff the fandom does with them is great but the actual canon narrative is so quick to wash their hands of them after they've outlasted their purpose to serve as an entertaining sideshow to the big monsters. Guarantee the reason this happened was because people didn't find Lind as entertaining as Ilene and Jia so Wingard threw him away to make room for Trapper. Very likely this is also why Madison nor Mark are in GxK and yet Bernie is because he's the funny one.

Like- I'd love to care about these people but the narrative has gotta give me a reason to do so. If the story doesn't care about them, why should I?

I learned not to get too attached after the first viewing of KOTM gave me such a bad feeling that Vivienne was gonna bite it and proved my suspicion right, and then GvK killed off the Skull Island Iwi and had 90% of Ren's characterization reserved for the novelization. Gonna be disappointed if the next movie decides to drop a bridge on Ilene and Jia.

Based on “Rodan’s Egg” by Quazies, can you imagine Rodan taking the time of doing a copious amount of research on human infants during Vivi’s pregnancy? Maybe Vivi comes across him surrounded by first time parenting books with her laptop open, him wearing tiny specs, and scribbling away in a notepad😆

Bonus points, she's the one who collected the books in the first place and they both scribble notes down together.

In my mind, comparing Young Goji to Zeus isn't the most accurate, since I interpret Young Goji as being more about fighting than banging. Oh, he did have a lot of sex, but Young Goji was much more about fighting and brawling and generally acting like a rabid Tasmanian Devil pumped full of cocaine. (Ozymandias did the Titan equivalent of going fully gray before 21, just from Goji's antics.)

Maybe if the Zeuszilla meme is happening in-universe it could also be the result of later legends conflating Goji and Ozzy together? Canon in real-life mythological lore can be messy and inconsistent, linguistic drift happens, and sometimes a god in one pantheon may have been a completely different god in the earliest records.

Apparently, the GxK novel says Dr. Nathan Lind isn't in the movie because he was killed offscreen in Hollow Earth, either by a random beastie, or by Skar King destroying Monarch's Hollow Earth outpost.

If you go window shopping without buying in DD2 the Pawns would sometimes say "The Arisen is ever prudent in his application of coin." Aka, "Bruh look at this broke-ass dude."

Or in my case, "The Arisen is up to their eye teeth in materials we're already pop full on and also there's nothing new at the armory so it's less they're broke, they're just STINGY."

I wonder if Goji would a tad embarrassed about the comparison to Zeus.

Especially given what we know about his past as 'resident runty asshole who threw around his weight all the goddamn time to look tough and get attention'- like the Zeus comparison might hit a little too close to home with past insecurities and regrets about who he used to be.

Nobody around him thinks this at all, they just think it's a harmless joke, and he's unrecognizable from who he once was; but deep down it kinda messes with him- especially when people like Emma say... shit like that.

If it's any consolation to Goji, should he voice his misgivings about the meme then it won't take long for those close to him to reassure him. It's not personal and it's not intended to make him feel bad, but they very much acknowledge that made him feel decidedly not great. Plus, Goji actually learns from his mistakes and has grown to be a vastly better person than he used to be; how many times can Zeus say that?

Emma misses the fact that, unlike Zeus, Goji is much more pleasant to be around (except when he's working, at which point he might be a little unhinged depending on whether or not Mothra is also there to keep him straight) and much more thoughtful and caring partner. Plus, Mothra is also allowed to have other partners should she choose to. In fact, the two of them keep each other updated on how their other relationships are going, maybe even give each some tips and tricks when it's convenient.

Zeus wishes he had the rizz that Goji and Mothra have!

Been watching some Godzilla Junior Clips (little guy is so freaking CUTE 🥰🥰🥰), when this scenario popped into my mind. Vivi and Rodan’s baby learning how to take on a Titan form, but only standing as tall as Vivi. So now a giant baby volcano bird is following around this short human woman, trying to eat her ramen, thinking them to be worms.😂

Funny thing, I went to a ramen shop for lunch the other day, so now I'm picturing the baby following mama into a ramen shop, and everyone is just STARING at them, a waiter goes "is... is it good for the bird to eat ramen...?" and Vivi just goes "They're not a bird they're my child. And yes, it's safe for them to eat ramen, they're omnivorous. So yes, I'll take a miso ramen with mango bubble tea, and a spicy curry ramen for the little one, please!"
