Before becoming Agent 3 and eventually the leader of the NSS she lived in a rural suburb on the outskirts of Inkopolis with her parents and two older brothers. Upon deciding to move to the city to pursue her interests in an education and ink battles, she was not ready for city life at all. It took her a good while to adjust, with the Squid Sisters helping her do so after they met. Though she still has school and work outside of the NSS she's extremely committed to the group; despite this she was still hesitant to be leader when Cuttlefish offered, insisting she wasn't a good leader (and she still isn't). However, her determination to do well for the group has worked out for both her and everyone else.

Azure's personality is best described as wild, yet very relaxed. She gets excited easily but is very go-with-the-flow most of the time. Despite this she's reclusive, and isn't comfortable talking with new people; though she's very talkative with her close friends and family. Besides the Squid Sisters (who are basically her older sisters) she's closest with Mist, having been dating for roughly 5 years now.

She let Mist move in with her after the events of Octo Expansion, and now they're inseparable (oh my god they were roommates)

Her right eye sometimes changes colors to how it looked while she was "hijacked" by Tartar. It's uncontrollable, and is tied to Azure's hormone levels; meaning, it usually happens when she experiences some strong emotions or is exercising.

Koa's a bit of a wild case. His family moved to Inkopolis from another country just before he was born, but he still shares the accents they all have. Being raised alongside 4 rowdy boys and an equally rowdy single dad (who's another oc I have), he's VERY loud and very, very energetic. he gets wound up very easily and will start yelling over the smallest things. Prior to meeting the NSS he didn't smile a lot and would actively try not to due to the environment he was raised in; as a kid he'd get teased by his brothers and dad if he got overly excited about things. Though they were only playing with him he didn't take it that way when he was young, and it stayed with him. No need to fear!-The NSS has helped him open up immensely.

Random facts:

Doesn't do much outside of the NSS besides go to school, but he does have several hobbies.

Plays the drums. Mist's little sister plays the guitar, and they hang out frequently and jam together.

Does gymnastics

Will not wear a shirt ever, he will fight you over it

Speaking of fighting, he wrestled with his brothers growing up and it's now something he likes to do for fun.

He doesn't play video games much but does enjoy a good fighting game.

Didn't know who the Squid Sisters were prior to the NSS since his screentime had been limited heavily growing up. He also just doesn't like to watch TV or use social media much.

Now, however, he's "secretly" the biggest SS fan out of anyone in the group.

[I'm still working on revising Mist's lore, so take her backstory with a grain of salt.]

Ah, yes, the tragic backstory character. Mist and her little sister, Jett, lived a rather okay life as Octarians-well, as good as it gets being underground, anyway. Mist was raised to be an engineer and Jett a construction worker for stages and weapons. Around the events of Splatoon 1 Mist's mother contracted a disease and wasn't able to survive it. Making matters worse was the death of her father a few months later, from broken heart syndrome. Mist was left to raise her sister as well as deal with the very obvious emotional trauma the deaths left on both her and Jett. Not long after that was Mist affected by the Calamari Inkantation, leaving her to question Octarian society and how it ran. Eventually she left for Inkopolis, seeking a better life; thus, Octo Expansion occurs. However, the memories of her parent's passing and leaving her sister wouldn't resurface until much, much later.

Mist learned Inkling shockingly quick and is now fully fluent, aside from the occasional grammar error. As mentioned earlier, she lived with Azure after Octo Expansion and fell in love, and now the two hate to be apart during the events of Splatoon 3.

She’s easily the kindest out of the entire group and a strong optimist, sometimes to the point where it’s annoying. Mist believes everyone deserves kindness and she loves to help others in any way she can. Despite this, when people push her boundaries she’ll fight back in the most reserved, collective way possible. She doesn’t give bullshit and she won’t take any, either.

She doesn't like working with machinery anymore, but she works for Sheldon repairing weapons to help pay rent and groceries. it's helping her cope, fortunately!

Mist speaks exclusively in positive connotation-meaning that rather than saying something like "This is bad," she would say "This is not good." She always uses positive words, not negative ones.

Drip was raised by salmonids after a mix-up between the Octarians and Salmonids occured and an infant octoling ended up with them. Fortunately, salmonids are very intelligent (much to the disbelief of many), and raised drip close to inkling society so drip could get a taste of where drip’s supposed to live. After growing up and deciding to live in Splatsvill, drip took on the profession of a graffiti artist to help make the city look more vibrant, sometimes illegally (but that's part of the fun for drip).

Xey're feral. Quite literally. Being raised by violence-loving salmonids will do that to you. Xey're far from uncivilized, though , so xey're feral in the classiest way possible. It's not uncommon to see xem doing something "weird" in the most calm and collected manner possible (like eating Alterna snow, eating grass, casually carrying things in xeir mouth). Xey’re also a fashionista and cares a lot about staying fresh and on top of things, but enjoys having fun when the time calls for it. Xey’re more serious than the other agents, but xey're learning to take it slow, thanks to them.

They have an unnatural love for ink battles compared to the other agents as well. They can get insanely heated during battles and they care a lot about their rank. They won't admit it, but it's because they were taught to love battle, being essentially a kid to salmonids.

Random facts:

Because salmonids honor dying, they love getting splatted in ink battles. It's a rush for them.

Visits their salmonid guardians frequently! They had a shack above water where they raised them. They haven't died in battle yet and Sting teases them about it

Sting's full name is The Stinging Rain Shower Born in Octopia.

Banned from Grizzco. Drip tried to steal power eggs and golden eggs from the place and was very, very quickly banned. Drip would boycott it even if drip wasn't, though.

Tekken 8 storymode thoughts/rant/review

Obviously will contain spoilers

But I have to say that

Surprisingly, I really liked Tekken 8's story (which is something I really didn't expect. I was preparing to gaslight myself that I liked the story because I was expecting a mid plot. But I can definitely say that I genuinely enjoyed this installment's storymode)

I'm going to remove my kazujun stan lens for this review

Jin has always been an after thought to me. The only time I care about him is if it's connected either to Kazuya or Jun (as a kazujun shipper). But the way he was written in Tekken 8 added layers to him and developed his character well. Don't get me wrong though, IT WOULD NEVER REALLY ERASE THE FUCKED UP SHIT THEY DID WITH TK5-7, but Tekken 8 was sweeping up some of the garbage left behind.

I always joke about Jin and his war crimes. Obviously, waging war is bad irl, but this is fiction okay. Anyway, Tekken 8 somehow managed to make me really feel like Jin didn't want to wage war. It was more of a result of his own self deprecation. Add to this, he was already suicidal before he took over the Zaibatsu, but after Tk6, he just really sulked into the idea of having to carry his sins and let it define him for the rest of his life.

The way they turned Jin from this guy who's hopeless and is submerged in his own hatred towards his bloodline and himself to this guy who finally acknowledges that all of the bad things are a part of who he is, but it doesn't have to be who he completely is, was really really really written decently. This whole character development with Jin instantly makes Tekken 8 on par, if not equal to, Tekken 4 story writing. And I was really impressed and blown away with how they unfolded the development. Because I really didn't want the romanticization of all his past mistakes, and his allies just cheering him on. Instead, his allies actually acknowledge JIN AS A DEVIL literally and figuratively (e.g Hwoa saying Jin has those dope-ass powers, Leroy asking Jin who is he, Xiaoyu saying she isn't scared of Jin despite the devil look), but they all believed in the chance they gave him to atone for everything he's done wrong.

I wish we could've gotten more about the history of the devil gene. It's still a very vague concept, and I was kinda expecting Tekken 8 to answer most of the questions about it, but still no.

Although as a Jun stan, I'm upset she never really appeared in the real world, I have to say that I really like how they still kept going with Jun's persona as a mysterious woman. If you see a previous post of mine, I have always been scared that Tekken 8 would finally be the franchise who would ruin Jun's character, but they played safe with it. She's still as mysterious as ever, but they allowed her to show more of her kindheartedness.

Like I said, I really wish we could've gotten more. I wish we could've also got to explore Kazuya's perspective. It's been like 6 consecutive games, and we still haven't had a storymode that focuses on Kazuya's character (always the one sided villain). Although, I understand why they couldn't do it (maybe because of budget constraints, and it would really diminish and compress the quality of Jin's char dev if they're gonna focus on both of them). I'm assuming at least that we get Tekken 9 and have it shine a spotlight on Kaz.

Overall, I really liked it. It gets an 8/10 for me!

More things I kinda didn't like:

- Where the hell is Yoshimitsu???? He appears in the tournament and then goes Bye Felicia once Kazuya absorbed Azazel LMAOOOOO. His bio about investigating the Mishima bloodline and whatever didn't really reflect on the storymode :<<

- Nina and Steve.... Uhhh.... We already had them in Tk 7, and I was at least expecting that they would continue it in Tk 8

- The Asuka Kazama erasure.... She's just treated as another one of the side characters at this point. I fear she's just only in the game now because of Lili. She's very underdeveloped and underutilized and I feel so sad about it :<<

Tekken has a very interesting set of characters with amazing dynamics and chemistry with everyone else. It has a huge amount of lore to explore as well. And they could really do better by exploring and developing most of the characters. Here's to hoping we get a story expansion DLC not just for the main story, but also for the other beloved characters in the game.

like!!! he's not even subtle about it!! he doesn't even give lloyd plausible deniability, he doesn't give him an out, a convenient excuse or just a helpful push, something like 'oh is this something you picked up from a dark wizard in a fight?', no, he just,,, straight up asks lloyd what lie he's gonna go with so javier can back him up.

this is javier telling lloyd 'i know you're lying to me, i know there's things you're not telling anyone and i'm not going to ask, just tell me what i need to say so i can help you' which,,,, fucking hell man. the absolute trust!! javier is absolutely loyal to the frontera family, so for him to know that lloyd is being suspicious and hiding stuff and still being willing to go along and outright help him??? it's because he just trusts him that much. he trusts him with the most important thing for him. he trusts that he won't betray the family that took and raised him since he was a child.

and it's not just a 'he's not dangerous' sort of trust. it's a 'he will help' sort of trust which is even more amazing.

javier has full trust that lloyd will help. lloyd will save the people of the estate. he will protect the frontera family.

and that's why he's willing to not just not ask questions but help make a believable story he'll back up if needed

and lloyd let's him! lloyd accepts the help!! he now knows that javier will be there if he needs the help!!! that to a certain extent he doesn't need to be as careful around javier because already knows something and while it isn't the full story it certainly means lloyd can lower his guard aroung him to a a degree that he hadn't allowed himself before!

it's definitely a big change from the novel but one i was soooo interested in!! i wanted so badly to know where they were taking this!! it changed so much of the dynamic between javier and lloyd and the way their future interactions will go!! the emotional conflict depends on the way these two trust and tell each other what they think the other needs or doesn't need to know!! so for the webcomic to change such a significant part of their dynamic so early on in the story??? massive change!! very interesting!!

but seeing the way the latest chapters have been (and sometimes just,,, not) handling the more earnest moments, i'm kinda scared ajdshfjkdas

i just hope this was done in order to let them be closer in a way they weren't allowed in the novel and not to diminish the impact and emotional weight of the latter part of the plot :/

but i'm keeping my hopes up and hoping we get more moments like these in the future where we get to see more of the trust that's developing between these two!! because it makes me sick in the head and i love that for me <3

On one hand he wants to hold yours, but on the other at least he knows you'll defend yourself if anyone other then him tried to make advancements towards you, plus he got compliments and no matter how long you two have been dating it feels nice to hear you call him your boyfriend :3

Haruto: Haruto is there asking you questions about how everything went, if you feel okay, if there's anything he can do for you. You say you want your boyfriend next to you, not some stranger. It takes everything in Haruto not to start laughing. He'll pull out his phone and start recording as you start gushing about him. "I've known him all my life and throughout all these years he's taken care of me and loved me and I plan on spending the rest of my life with him and-" You just keep going and going and Haruto loves it. He shows you the video as soon as the anesthesia wears off.

Jun: Runs in the room and hugs you! She's so happy you're okay! She wasn't expecting you to push her off though. "I have a girlfriend, don't hug me!" Jun is SO confused at first, trying to explain that she IS your girlfriend, but you just keep gushing about how cute and perfect Jun is for you. Jun gets the biggest smile as you gush about him, his face also turns extremely red. When the anesthesia wears off she'll brag all about it to you.

Hoshi: He’ll walk into the room and laugh at your state. He decides he’ll ask you all about how the procedure went once the anesthesia wears off, for now he enjoys listening to your senseless babbling. His eyes widen when you start gushing about Hoshi. He listens silently to every word you say and holds them close to his heart. Once the anesthesia wears off he'll try to use the situation as a way to tease you and pouts when you don't believe him.

Habiki: Is happy and relieved that everything went well, he just can't wait for the anesthesia to wear off so he can talk to the normal you. Still, he doesn't mind this version of you, he thinks you're cute loopy. Is surprised when you start talking about how much you love him as if he isn't right there. He might even insult himself or say anything to get a reaction out of you and gain more praise. Never mentions it when the effects wear off but he'll never forget every word you said :3

Kage: Was so nervous for your procedure and heading to the hospital, he's glad you're okay. He's pretty quiet, mainly waiting for you to talk while he listens to you, he's just observing you. Throws him for a LOOP when you start complimenting him. He might start crying from the compliments even if you didn't know he was right in front of you. Wants to ask if you meant it once the anesthesia wears off but is too nervous, so they'll just hold onto to the precious memory forever.

Kei: When he walks into the hospital room he looks you over for any abnormalities. He knew you would have to be put under anesthesia so your loopy personality wasn't too surprising for him, and other then that you seemed well. He'll sit down and pull out any drinks or soft snacks if you can have them. Then you start gushing about how your boyfriend would've done this if he was here and how you don't want handouts from a stranger. He looks at you surprised before chuckling and putting the water and soft snacks away. He'll just watch you, waiting for you to sober up.

Yani: Yani happily screams her love for you as soon as she enters the room, she'll run up to you and hug you before surprisingly getting pushed off. He'll worry that he may have hurt you but then you start talking about how only your significant other is allowed to hug you and start talking about how caring and sweet Yani is, how Yani always remember everything about you and how they're just perfect. Yani's façade falters because you don't know who this person is in front of you, so it sees no reason to keep it up. Their heartbeat rises and their face flushes the brightest red, thy can't fight off the giant smile that appears nor stop the tears from spilling out of its eyes. Yani never talks to you about it otherwise they fear they'll cry in front of you. it's okay though, Yani will always remember.

Aki: Aki enters the room and asks if you're okay, checking up on you before lightly teasing your loopy state of mind. She instantly pulls out the phone and starts recording, just like you two have talked about ever since watching all those funny videos about people under the effects of anesthesia. It all starts out pretty normal and funny before Aki grabs your hand just for you to smack it away. You start talking about how disrespectful it was to hold a taken persons hand. Aki is so confused and is awkwardly chuckling before you start going on and on about how much you love Aki and how perfect she is. She isn't expecting it at all and she happily teases you about it and shows you the video when you don't believe her. She watches the video every night and whenever she's feeling insecure.

hey katar again ! its random anon (now 🎧 anon because everyones random ^^) :)

after saying ill ask more asks in the future (in hopes of stepping out of my poor and very depressing comfort zone.), i have a very questionable “what if” hc i would love to share; merrick beardless. not cleanly shaven, i wont put the man under THAT much misery than i would like to but, its a very big difference to which even logan would gasp audibly. (i also hc he’s selectively mute, which was not mention at all last ask until i read ur response… shame on me.)

now, heres my perspective of how this could go, feel free to add on !;

1) the poor man is going undercover(alone or with other ghosts, ill leave that up to you.) mainly because merrick has a terrible sense of style and those who are close to him will probably recognize him from afar(inspired by your hc of who in the ghosts has the best/worst sense of style from a while ago, which i also agree with :)). but, the beard gives it away if you really see who the hell it is, so, he (regrettably) shaves the beard off to his demise. tears were shed, and not only from merrick. (a comment of merrick looking like mr.clean but with more facial hair was definitely made by someone.)

2) he got shaven because somebody decided to get revenge. (this parts completely up to you :D) Poor guy probably was in such a bad mood, and the comments did NOT help. hesh was probably the main one bullying poor merrick, along with keegan and kick, with neptune making a few comments and logan snickering and almost bursting out laughing everytime he sees merrick.(would be an accomplishment but in this situation…no.) if merrick was getting bullied before this, its fucking hell now.

anyways, thats the end of this ask ! its a little long like my previous ones which i apologize about. maybe even id even share another ask one of these days about another victim caught in my thoughts. :)

They all rip into him during the Shavening, which they have made an incredibly big deal, and while Merrick would like nothing more than to melt into the floor he's stubborn as a mule and refuses to back down or beg for mercy. (Which would not be given anyways.) It remains infamous in their history for years to come... mostly because Merrick concocted the most wild heist-esqe plan to get back at each and every one of the sorry fuckers who crossed him. A plan even Rorke can't rival! So good in fact, that I cannot even describe it to you. (Cheap cop out LMAO)

13. what’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?

ooh I actually have to think about this one for a second, hang on

maybe using sensory details and actions to break up dialogue? Sometimes if I think there needs to be a moment between two lines of dialogue but I'm not actually giving the reader a chance to pause by using an emdash or an ellipses, I'll throw something in there to break it up. I have some examples from the damitim fic:

“You’re not talking?”  “No.” “Is that your call?”  Damian puts the teapot on the stove with slightly more force than required, flicking on the burner in the same fashion. “No,” he says flatly. 

okay yeah so in this bit I put that action with the teapot in there as a substitute for a line about Damian pausing, because "he paused" looked boring and felt wrong, so I gave him something to do in that time. This also uses the other bit of advice I posted about the other day about avoiding just saying how a character feels. The action I gave him tells you how he's feeling about it: he's frustrated. But also, he says no flatly, because he doesn't want his words to show that he cares.

Sometimes instead of an action I'll throw in a train of thought because like. If the character has time to notice a smell or to feel something, it creates the breathing room I need to emphasize the dialogue. like here:

“No, I fucking don’t! Damian,” Tim scoffs, as if he’s explaining this to a child, “I’ve been living with Ra’s Al Ghul for the last six years, do you honestly think that Bruce is going to trust me after that?”  And Damian hadn’t thought of that. Hadn’t thought of not trusting Tim, or forgiving him, for even a second.  He is not a fool. He does not think that Tim has spent six years lounging around like a prince in a castle, living in luxury.  That Tim spent six years there and kept his hands clean.  He pretends he does not feel like he’s begging.  “That does not mean you have to leave.”

the time it takes to get from the sentence to the response creates the feeling of the pause even though it's not written anywhere that there is a pause. It just feels like there was a pause while he processed that, and the dialogue is emphasized because of that. Honestly, this is probably the most common thing I do in editing. This actually might not be a common writing tip but I find it works for me and I already wrote all this out and I couldn't think of any common writing tips lol

I've always thought that Jimin's home was uneventful and #plain. I also never really trusted that person who said that Jimin goes to art exhibitions a lot, and even if he did my thought was "he must buy art to give as presents." It's that kind of stuff that only makes sense to me and I could never explain to people why I believed that.

A lot of people really forget that they don't see or feel the same way we do about most things. Funnily enough, when it comes to shippers, they usually remember that when it's to talk about their careers or thing "solos" are complaining about. I say "hybe sabotaged Jimin" and they go "Jimin loves Jungkook!!!! You can't dictate how he feels!!!" (which none did anyways, but they immediately assume you're talking about their feelings).

So, they know that what fans feel about something it's not always what the members themselves might think or feel about the same thing. It's the same with these birthday greetings or whatever. They spent years saying Jimin didn't care that Jungkook never posted for his birthday. Well.. the photo might seem scandalous and boyfriend to FANS, but rest assured neither Jimin nor Jungkook see the photo that way.

Definitely gets one of those bell collars (with a cute bow on it!!) for you. It helps ease his anxiety whenever he hears it jingle. Better be a cuddly kitty, cuz he canNOT keep his hands off of you. Poor guy’s always on the verge of a panic attack at the thought of you running away. Gives you tummy rubs, praises, and even treats (when you’re good). However, when it comes to obedience, he’s absolutely the no-nonsense type. Do not test him; the literal leash he has on you is short for a reason. well i'm gonna be real with you, i actually am uncultured and haven't read many of the authors' works. i've read only a few, so i'd have to say of those that i've read, i liked doppo kunikida, mykola hohol and akiko yosano. i've yet to read dazai but i really really want to :(

as for individual works, i've read and enjoyed anne of green gables and the raven. i got through about a third of the great gatsby before abandoning it because i found it boring. i am still reading crime and punishment and i like it a lot.

funfact; whenever i eat m&ms i have this ritual where i save all the brown ones for the end, i eat all the other ones except for one of each colour, then i eat all those in one go. and then i begin eating the brown ones one at a time until there are nine left (lucky number) and then i eat all those at once. its cus the brown is more chocolatey in my head literally just because it is brown

Namjoon Keeping an eye on Jikook. I've said it before, but I'll say it again though. I need to do another post more about how namjoon supports them, indivually and together. Because the way jkkrs portray him as their police force and never talks about any other aspect of their trio dynamics or any other thing about it. Drives me insane. Because it's not as dramatic as jkkrs make it sound, nor is it nearly as often, nor is it even the most prominent way he interacts with the two of them. Same with Hobi too. His relationship with jikook is WAY more than just their biggest cheerleader. Conversations for another post though. Adding it to my list of posts to make for sure.

But that's on me as well for not talking about that more here. I will. I also don't have one specifically about Tae supporting Jikook yet either or solely his reactions, but I touch on it a little bit in my vminkook dynamics post. The differences between the god trio and the dteam are very different yet they still somehow mirror each other?? Like there are little remnants of Dream's personality in XD's and bits of George's personality is HD's and so on and so forth. And it makes it so INTERESTING and FUN to read!!! I literally love them so much,,, like I just wanna put the god trio in a little box and watch them asdlfakag is that weird i hope that's not weird lmaooooo.

The most recent fic was just so slice of life ish that my heart was just ready to melt the entire tiiiiime. Im rambling so i guess long story short i wanna ask how often to the three of them just,,hang out like that :((( they deserve it. And thank you so so much for the questions. Well, to start, I'd say they hang out like that casually rather often. So far in the timeline (and this may change later but this is what it is just now), that XD and 4K met sometime a little before Dream got put into prison. They started becoming closer friends after Dream's lock up, which lead to XD hanging out with the two other Gods more to help take his mind off things. But short answer, they hang out causally A LOT. And I'm going to write A LOT about it. I'm so happy the Relaxing with the Gods series can give a look into that.

okay okay okay okay i LOVE the voice question for two reasons! Firstly, these questions make me really think which I love doing because I can flesh out answers and characters more. And two because literally a few days ago I just picked out voices for HD and 4K glfhgl I hope to share them soon. But to answer the question, the other Gods think the double/distorted voice sounds are normal. I have it headcanoned that most Gods can speak two or more languages at the same time. To other God's ears this is normal and they can pick out each of the voices to listen to but to mortals it sounds like a double distortion. So as an example, XD speaks normal english but his double voice is repeating every word in an ancient End language. Mortals, like George, can't really understand the ancient language so the double voice just sounds distorted. 4K's double voice is an ancient demonic language and HD double voice speaks in fae talk. Also also I have it headcanoned that HD and 4K's doubled voice is softer/quieter so theirs can't really be heard, but XD being the youngest hasn't really learned to do that and most people understand him fine so he's not fussed about learning to quiet it.

what are fun beatles facts you’ve put in your fics

Hi anon!! Sorry for forgetting you!!! TBH maybe they're not as fun or not as much facts as I may have made them seem but here are a few from ILTY:

I point out in chapter 2 that George and John bought matching Gibson guitars (in 1962, following them earning the contract with EMI iirc; I didn't specify the date in the fic though)

Paul talks about when he uses the Höfner vs when he uses the Rickenbacker bass, saying the Höfner is good for live sounds because it's lighter. He says something like that in Get Back, I believe!

In chapter 3 when Cyn and John are looking through a scrapbook there aren't any wedding photos because there really weren't any! No photographer was present :(

I also reference this real letter John wrote to Cyn in chapter 3

also point out in that chapter that while John basically immediately married Cyn upon learning he had gotten her pregnant, Paul stalled with Dot up until her miscarriage and then broke off their engagement.

in chapter 4 I describe this weird trailer thing, which John really had in his garden though I've now learned he actually only acquired it a year later in 1967 so

This isn't historical but the bit in chapter 4 where I describe how John plays I Feel Fine is how you actually play the song lol. I didn't detail it much cause it's not very interesting, but I watched a tutorial for it and everything. I also did some rudimentary sitar + Indian classical music research for the relevant part in chapter 10. It's not directly mentioned in the text but I did my best to make sure I wasn't saying something outright wrong about the instruments basic function.

In chapter 5 I point out that John has a Stu painting in his house, which he really did IIRC

The idea that John may have recorded himself reading from Timothy Leary's book Book of the Dead and played it back while dropping acid it isn't one I made up but I believe it's from Goldman so. Grain of salt fun fact. (mentioned in chapters 4, 6 and 8)

From chapter 7: "They bloody invented automatic double-trackin’ just so Johnny could be here less." ATD was indeed developed by engineers at EMI studios because John found double tracking his vocals extremely annoying lmao.

there's some description in chapter 7 of stuff the Beach Boys and Beatles stole from each other that's to my knowledge accurate. also the song playing on the radio was in the charts the week the chapter takes place during, which I pointed out in the author's notes (I generally have kept track of the dates in my story)

Paul beginning to write Here, There and Everywhere, specifically the intro, right after listening to Pet Sounds is based on him saying the intro is inspired by God Only Knows (he starts writing the intro just after playing GOK in the story). He recalls writing the song at John's house, an he completes it in chapter 8, also at Kenwood, while waiting for John (this time simply to come down stairs rather than wake up) — this is less a fun fact but more my fun adaptation of true events.

I double checked this like three times when I wrote the chapter, but IIRC it's totally accurate that the band recorded brass for the first time one day after the Pet Sounds listening party (chapter 8)

I reference the horrible experience the band really had in February 64 at the English embassy in Washington DC in chapter 8, though the specific anecdote Paul recalls from that evening is entirely made up by me.

this is pretty well-known, but Isn't It A Pity was likely a Revolver-reject, which is why it's briefly considered for the album in chapter 8, given the circumstances

This is my own conjecture but I 100% believe that Day Tripper is about Paul and I made that canon at the end of chapter 8 lol.

This isn't exactly a fact but the questions asked in the Munich press conference in chapter 9 are for the most part similar to real questions they were asked. Including the weird one about participating in the Munich Olympics lmaooooo

Again more of an adaptation than a straight-up fact but John and Paul did visit the Grosse Freiheit when they were in Hamburg for that tour!

sooo, just got back home from the doc and she's actually really fucking good!! like, really really fucking good. i like her a lot. i don't even know if i'd be wanting to go back to my usual doc after she returns from maternity leave... girl i feel like such a cheater but I'M SORRY! she taught me SO FUCKING MUCH!

-she told me very important reproductive health information about the medications that i'm on that NO ONE EVER FUCKING TOLD ME!!!!! LIKE INSANELY FUCKING IMPORTANT SHIT

-explained the WHY behind so much shit like, WHY i might have had that seizure a while back while taking a medication that also doubles as an anticonvulsant

-she asked me sooooo many questions and listened with the intention of asking even more follow up questions and i could tell that she actually paid attention to my file and didn't make me rehash everything allllllll over again bc i hate that soooo fucking much

-she set me back up on my medication so that i don't have to worry about running out for a while ^-^ AND something new to help with the anxiety i've been feeling because it's been almost unbearable!

and in the very end she asked a very interesting question, "Do you have OCD?"

i was befuddled! i say, "n- uhh, no? no one's ever told me that so i guess not."

and i just shook my head. and like i wanted to tell her, obviously, i don't know the first thing about ocd other than what people assume from the way we, as a people, oversimplify mental illnesses/disorders but i was going to look into it. and perhaps she could be right, perhaps not but just the fact that she was simply standing in for my usual doctor for what, 2 visits? and still cared enough to carefully read my file and still treat me like a person and treat me like her own patient or client that she wants to help... it meant the fucking world to me. especially because i was so apprehensive about going in to this appointment that i was intending on canceling. but all that came out was a very stammering, "n-nothing, i just really like you. i like you alot. t-that's all."

she told me that if i wanted i could stay with her and that i didn't have to go back to my usual doc when she returns from leave. and quite honestly, i just might. i mean, if we're completely honest, the only reason i come to this place in the first place is because my primary physician recommended me to THIS particular doc. i just couldn't get her because at the time, she was just entirely too booked and i really needed help asap.

she reminds me a lot of my primary too and i love her to bits!! they speak so highly of each other and apparently they see lots of each other's patients. when i told her that she was the who i was originally recommended too she got so happy lol like i was gonna be another one of their passion projects they could work on together or something lmaoooo love that for them and me tbh pls fix me i beg
