Last movie: Currently watching 'Daughters of Darkness' as I'm filling this out. It's tagline was "An erotic nightmare of vampire lust", but what I am thinking about it is "What if Effie Trinket was a lesbian vampire?" and all I can say to that is 'Yes, please'.

Sweet, savory, or spicy: Usually savory. Unless it's cheesecake, I'm usually going to go for something that's not in the sweet realm, and spicy requires medication.

Currently working on: Scribbles & Drabbles is wrapping up now that the stories are posted, so that means it's time to switch to Screw Yule announcements and Back to Middle-earth Month/Spring Into Arda prep. I'm also sorting through all of my handwritten stuff, because I am more than aware that I have dozens of stories that were never typed up that probably should be, and there's still so much stuff that I need to transfer over to AO3. I have also started (though, don't let the number of categories deceive you, there's not much there yet) a wiki for Bunniverse. I was going to create it in my web space, but having it on Fandom means others can jump in (and because, while I created Bunniverse, at this point I'm not the only one playing actively in the sandbox).

And I wrote two items for S&D where I only had the time for the first chapter of each; I blame all of the car issues I had with GLRFNDL and having to shop for a new to me car >.< They're both Maedhros/Fingon Bunniverse stories, one of them YT at the beginning of their relationship and one way, way, way in the future, once Fingon is in a good place regarding Finya, gender fluidity, and so many other things, and this reminds me that I wrote 60K of something for NaNoWriMo with them and I should start posting that... I really need a fanfic manager XD

grace! what agility organization do you compete with? (i like checkin' out all the different rules)

I compete with ANKC. I think there are only two others in Australia, ADAA and NADAC, but neither operate in the Territory where I live. Here are the rules if you are interested.

My club is the only club besides the Royal Show that runs agility trials in the dry season. The other club here does rally and obedience.

How a New Law Will Impact the U.S. Antiquities Trade

Major changes for the antiquities trade are on the horizon for the U.S. in 2021, all in the name of cracking down on money laundering and creating more federal oversight over a market that’s historically been underregulated.

At the start of the year, both the House of Representatives and the Senate overrode President Trump’s veto to pass the National Defense Authorization Act for 2021 (NDAA). Included in this bill is a law that will increase federal oversight of the antiquities market, making it more difficult for buyers and sellers to conduct their operations in secrecy, reports Zachary Small for the New York Times.

The new legislation will extend the 1970 Bank Secrecy Act, which tightened federal restrictions on financial transactions, to apply to antiquities dealers. Now, dealers will have to reckon with a number of anti-money laundering protocols, including a rule that requires the “ultimate beneficial owner” of a limited liability company to register with the federal government. This rule means that it will become more difficult for art buyers and sellers to obscure their identities through offshore entities and shell companies, reports Eileen Kinsella for artnet News.

“Long considered but only now passed, the bill is a significant step into regulating the U.S. art and antiquities market,” lawyer and art law specialist Nicholas M. O’Donnell notes in an analysis for Art Law Report.

The new law also directs the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a bureau within the Treasury Department, to conduct a study of money laundering in the art market in the next year. The FinCEN study will explain exactly how the new law will work and answer a number of outstanding questions about further regulations: for instance, the organization will need to define who exactly constitutes an “antiquities dealer,” O’Donnell writes.

Regulators have long feared that the opaque U.S. art market provides “fertile ground for money laundering and other illicit activities,” in part because buyers and sellers are rarely identified, Small writes for the Times. More broadly, many have called for stricter regulation of the international art market, as conflict in countries such as Syria and Iraq has contributed to a growing black market for looted cultural heritage artifacts worldwide.

“The proposed legislation will begin to close a major loophole,” Tess Davis, the executive director of the nonprofit Antiquities Coalition, tells the Times.

She adds that pawnbrokers fall under the purview of Bank Secrecy Act, but major auction houses such as Christie’s and Sotheby’s do not: “Why should the rules be stricter for a mom-and-pop business hawking stereos in Milwaukee than a billion-dollar auction house in Manhattan?”

Senate members have long criticized the U.S. antiquities market, O’Donnell notes. Last summer, Congressional investigators wrote a report that detailed how Russian oligarchs were able to evade U.S. sanctions and buy art using shell companies and an intermediary, as Graham Bowley then reported for the New York Times. In the report, the Senate labeled the art market the “largest legal unregulated market in the United States.”

However, many in the art world argue that accusations of money-laundering in the antiquities trade are overblown. “Virtually all transactions of high-dollar amounts in the ancient art business are handled through financial institutions and instruments already covered by the Bank Secrecy Act,” Randall A. Hixenbaugh, the president of the American Council for the Preservation of Cultural Property, tells the Times. “Criminals seeking to launder ill-gotten funds could hardly pick a worse commodity than antiquities.”

Many antiquities dealers have opposed the new regulations. Some continue to call for reduced or scaled regulations, arguing that the financial and logistical burdens of federal oversight will place undue stress on small businesses, as the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) notes in a statement accessed by artnet News.

“The new regulations raise questions about the cost benefit balance of compliance,” writes O’Donnell.

“But leave no doubt after last year’s Senate report,” he adds, “that regulators have the art market in their sights and the market must respond if it wants to have a say in the oversight that is sure to come.”

A ghazal commonly consists of five to fifteen couplets, which are independent, but are linked – abstractly, in their theme; and more strictly in their poetic form. The structural requirements of the ghazal are similar in stringency to those of the Petrarchan sonnet.[4] In style and content, due to its highly allusive nature, the ghazal has proved capable of an extraordinary variety of expression around its central themes of love and separation.

The ghazal is a short poem consisting of rhyming couplets, called Sher or Bayt. Most ghazals have between seven and twelve shers. For a poem to be considered a true ghazal, it must have no fewer than five couplets. Almost all ghazals confine themselves to less than fifteen couplets (poems that exceed this length are more accurately considered as qasidas). Ghazal couplets end with the same rhyming pattern and are expected to have the same meter. The ghazal's uniqueness arises from its rhyme and refrain rules, referred to as the 'qaafiyaa' and 'radif' respectively. A ghazal's rhyming pattern may be described as AA, BA, CA, DA, ... and so on.[8]

In its strictest form, a ghazal must follow five rules:

Matlaa: The first sher in a ghazal is called the 'matlaa'. Both lines of the matla must contain the qaafiyaa and radif. The matlaa sets the tone of the ghazal, as well as its rhyming and refrain pattern. .

Radif/Radeef: The refrain word or phrase. Both lines of the matlaa and the second lines of all subsequent shers must end in the same refrain word called the radif.

Qaafiyaa: The rhyming pattern. The radif is immediately preceded by words or phrases with the same end rhyme pattern, called the qaafiyaa.

Maqtaa/Maktaa: The last couplet of the ghazal is called the maqtaa. It is common in ghazals for the poet's nom de plume, known as takhallus to be featured in the maqtaa. The maqtaa is typically more personal than the other couplets in a ghazal. The creativity with which a poet incorporates homonymous meanings of their takhallus to offer additional layers of meaning to the couplet is an indicator of their skill.

Bah'r/Beher: Each line of a ghazal must follow the same metrical pattern and syllabic (or morae) count.

Unlike in a nazm, a ghazal's couplets do not need a common theme or continuity. Each sher is self-contained and independent from the others, containing the complete expression of an idea. However, the shers all contain a thematic or tonal connection to each other, which may be highly allusive.[8] A near-universal convention (although not a hard rule) that traces its history to the origins of the ghazal form is that the poem is addressed to a female beloved by a male narrator.

🍟: I’ll answer this for my Jedi guy (gn) Imonho Myni, a Mirialan Pilot - who will become Anakin’s Master. After a long while of being haggled about what he gets into while he’s hiding out in the Mid or Outer Rim, he’ll just throw out that his guilty pleasure is just finding all the best food joints for peace and quiet. In reality, it’s because he follows his husband Asaav Ihan (a Togrutan cargo pilot) around and spends their downtime between jobs and missions lazing around and catching up on the chat.

🍪: Pulling out my baby Kel Dor, Padawan Goe Sult. They consider any gift from Fae Koon ( @penguinkiwi ) to be the most important thing to them in their lives, especially from when they were very young. And even though they aren’t quite sure what to specialize in once they’re chosen by Master T’ra Saa, they still know they’ll keep Fae in mind.

(For context, Adaa is the historical/original name of the planet Kalevala, and is recognized as Adaa in the Galactic Senate. The Chancellor serves as the Senatorial representative, but still answers to the “king” and/or “queen” of Adaa. | Cerel is also a gift from @perasperaadastrawriting !!) Cerel really doesn’t savor recalling how the previous rulers of Adaa completely trampled on the treaty that was honored when Mandalorians first conquered the world and ultimately lost to her people, the Cisomites, and agreed to share the land evenly and without further war. The rulers that Cerel grew up with were openly xenophobic to her and sort of used her as a trophy piece. Joke’s on them because now the Cisomites are in complete rule of the royal house LOL

Shapeshifting

Written when Sadam wasn’t at the bottom of a lake and before Sarah was revealed to be back robed figure and before I knew Paulina was Lawrence’s first time. At least I realized her name was “Lawrence” and not “Laurens” somewhere along the way and fixed that XD

A meow at Adam's feet.

He had just been talking to Principal Lawrence about the security in the school when there was a meow and something soft brushing against his leg. He glanced down to see and black-and-white car with bright green eyes.

"Oh, Sarah! Hello!" Principal Lawrence greeted and waved to the cat.

"Good morning," the cat replied in Adam's partner-totally-not-crush's voice. Even though he knew it was Sarah, hearing an animal speak in the dark-skinned woman's voice made him jump.

"Morning, Sarah," Adam nodded his head to the cat as he turned to his computer to check his email.

A few seconds later the cat leapt onto his desk and proceeded to walk on his keyboard, pushing random keys with her dainty paws. Adam glared at the cat.

"Sarah."

"What?" She asked innocently. Adam sighed and shook his head and returned to checking his email (which he now had to reopen since Sarah had closed his browser.)

"I'll be in my office if you need me," Lawrence announced and left the room. The woman-morphed-cat jumped off his desk and to the door that was left open and followed Lawrence. Adam was somewhat confused by Sarah's actions but decided not to question it. She was a very smart woman and could take care of herself.

The bell rang to allow students into the school building so Adam quickly logged off of the computer (although what was the point; the security was so bad students could hack from their student accounts and the COM wouldn't give them the funds to fix it) and walked to his classroom. A few students had already arrived that he acknowledged with a nod and sat down at his desk to look over his teaching notes for the day.

"Mister Foley? Do you know what's up with Miss Canaday?" Adam looked up from his lunch and saw a purple-eyed brunette- Kaya Long.

"What did you say, Miss Long?" Adam requested. He was confused as to what the dinosaur Magiclica was talking about.

"Miss Canaday. She taught the entire class as a cat and didn't even question it! I know her special ability is shapeshifting, but is there something going on so she's teaching in her cat form all day?" His student inquired.

Adam raised an eyebrow and shook his head. "Nothing that I know of, Miss Long. She was a cat when I saw her briefly earlier, but that's it." What in the name of the White Stone is Sarah doing today?

Kaya shrugged. "Thanks anyway, Mister Foley."

Throughout the day several other students had asked him the same question. Adam replied with the same answer each time: "your guess is as good as mine." It was finally lunch break (which was towards the end of the day) and as soon as Adam sat down with this tuna sandwich Principal Lawrence was calling for him.

"ADAAAAAAMM!!!!"

"Coming!" The dark-haired man jumped up from his desk and warped to the principal's office (Let's just say this is not the first time Lawrence has panicked and called for her most trusted teachers.)

Adam stepped through his orange portal to see Lawrence's office a mess. "What happened here?" He asked.

The green-haired woman was flailing about, trying to put the mess back together.

"I'll tell you what! Sarah is going crazy! She's acting like a true feline- the queen that rules all! But we're not going to give into her tyranny, no sir!" Lawrence announced rather overdramatically.

Adam rolled his eyes and picked up a pile of papers that was near his feet. The corners were slightly shredded by what appeared to be claws.

"Sarah..." Adam muttered under his breath. To say he was confused was an understatement. Sarah was the most organized, reliable, smartest and prettiest woman he knew. There was no way she would purposefully trash Lawrence's office, was there?

"Do you know where Sarah is, Lawrence?" Adam asked his superior.

She shook her head. "She disappeared when I tried to grab her. Who knew cats could be so squirmy?" Adam decided he wasn't going to be the one to tell her that most cats were like that. He kneeled down again to pick up more papers when he caught a glint of green under the desk.

"AHA!"

He mentally created a portal under the feline and he heard a surprised meow as cat-Sarah fell through the portal and landed in Adam's arms. He tried not to blush at the technicality of his action and held her tight as she squirmed in a weak attempt to escape.

"Ad-am!"

"Sar-ah!" he mocked. "You destroyed Lawrence's office!"

"How dare you, Sarah? I thought I could trust you!" Lawrence sided with Adam.

She shrugged her front haunches (the equivalent of human shoulders?) rather nonchalantly. "I had to get your attention somehow."

"You could have just called?" Adam noted. She shrugged again.

"Anyway, I wanted to show you guys my real form."

The two humans blinked with Principal Lawrence making a confused sound.

Sarah is a human though?

"I know you know me as Sarah Canaday, but have you ever thought that I'm not human?"

This felt like a slap in the face for Adam. She wasn't human? She was a cat? But how did she have powers?

"I'm my family's adopted pet. One of my siblings when they were younger accidentally enchanted me and I gained a human form with powers, a Magiclica."

I really, really admire a cat. Adam was somewhat horrified with himself and extremely shocked.

"But, but- how did you- can you even- WHAAAAT?!" Lawrence sputtered. "Is this even possible?!"

"As Adam teaches in his class, there's limitless potential for improving our special ability. I like to think that I've gotten very good at mine, don't you think?" Sarah's green feline eyes blinked innocently at the dark-haired man.

He silently put the cat down on the desk with a rather shell-shocked look on his face and he sat down in the chair across to contemplate his life.

"I don't even know what to say to this," he breathed.

My partner in half my life is a cat. As if my life couldn't get any weirder. If I thought teaching at this school was crazy enough as it is, this brings Everston to an entirely new level of interestingly-difficult. He idly wondered if the team of crime-solving students in his homeroom class had figured this out already.

A soft but heavy body landed on his lap. Adam removed his face from his hand to see Sarah's bright green eyes dilated to be large, round, and far too innocent. She gave him as much of a smile as a cat could and purred, rubbing her head against his chest.

"Sarah," he suddenly snapped back into his rather cold demeanor. "We're at work."

"When are we not at work? Work is literally life. Work and sleep," Principal Lawrence grumbled.

Sarah blinked and hopped off Adam's lap. "Alright then. I'll see you after class, Adam?" she verified.

"Uh, sure." Then the feline pranced out the door and back to her classroom.

"What was that about?" Lawrence questioned, glancing between her two most trusted teachers. Adam shrugged.

"I've been saying this all day, not a clue."

The final bell of the day rung and his students quickly packed up their bags and flooded into the crowded hallway. Adam knew better than to try and navigate the swarm and waited a few minutes before leaving his classroom. As he grabbed his own satchel bag with the things he brings from home, his phone went off with the ringtone he had set for Sarah.

Sarah: where are you?

Adam glanced around and replied back.

You: Just leaving my room

Sarah: meet me in the faculty parking lot?

Adam sighed and sent back a confirmation before taking the back door that went straight out to the back parking lot where only teachers and staff were allowed to park. There, standing by his car was the dark-skinned woman that had summoned him in her human form.

"Hello, Sarah. You're human now," he noted before cursing himself for saying that out loud.

She smiled and laughed. "Yes, Adam, I am human. I just wanted to let you know, I'm not really a cat."

He raised an eyebrow, this being the second time he's been thoroughly surprised by her today.

"What?"

She raised a hand behind her head and smiled guiltily. "One of my students dared me to trick Principal Lawrence, and I thought it would be funny and agreed. I felt bad about pulling you into this too, though, so I just wanted to tell you. But don't tell Lawrence, alright?" she chuckled rather mischievously.

"So... you're not an enchanted cat. You're a normal human like me?" the dark-haired man verified.

She nodded.

Adam groaned. "Don't do this too me, Sarah! I've had enough confusion as it is this semester!"

Thank the White Stone! How awkward would it be to have a small crush on a cat?

She laughed, once again sounding like an angel- (Adam, get yourself together!) "You and me both. See you tomorrow!" then she scurried off to her own car to head home for the day.

Adam sighed and shook his head. "Alright then." I'm glad she's not a cat. I don't think I could handle seeing a cat safely driving a car at any time of day.

Edgeworth & Mental Illness

In honor of May being Mental Health Awareness Month, I thought I would talk a little bit (spoiler alert: there is nothing “a little bit” about this post) about the different mental illnesses that I write Miles with. Keep in mind that I'm not a medical professional by any stretch of the imagination, and I'm going on my own research and experience for a lot of this. This is, of course, my own personal interpretation.

This is not a comprehensive list, and it's bound to shift and change as I develop my writing. Please be aware that this isn't fun stuff. I'll put a full trigger list under the cut.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

PTSD is a mental disorder that can develop after a person is exposed to a traumatic event. According to the ADAA, the disorder is characterized by three main types of symptoms:

Re-experiencing the trauma through intrusive distressing recollections of the event, flashbacks, and nightmares.

Emotional numbness and avoidance of places, people, and activities that are reminders of the trauma.

Increased arousal such as difficulty sleeping and concentrating, feeling jumpy, and being easily irritated and angered.

Miles canonically experiences symptoms of PTSD. He has flashbacks triggered by earthquakes, he has recurring nightmares, and he avoids elevators. Within blog canon, he also suffers from insomnia, panic attacks, and hypervigilance, particularly under times of high stress. He is also claustrophobic and experiences anxiety from things that restrict his breathing, such as tight ties/shirt collars and swimming underwater.

It should be noted that Miles' PTSD stems not only from witnessing his father's murder, but also the abuse he suffered under von Karma.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder

GAD is a mental disorder characterized by persistent and excessive worry about a number of different things, coupled with the inability to control that worry.

This is something Miles had since childhood, but he had a decent support system when he was young. It was exacerbated greatly by his father's death, and further from training under von Karma. A lot of this overlaps with his PTSD, but I do hold that it is alongside rather than a part of it.

A lot of his anxiety is stemmed from his triggers, but he has developed a good deal of smaller worries concerning (mostly) unrelated things: ladders, large bodies of water (such as oceans, not lakes), thunderstorms, etc. He also has a crippling fear of failure and losing control.

Major Depressive Disorder

MDD is a mental condition in which a person suffers at least one major depressive episode in their lifetime. The qualifications for one of these episodes involve a certain set of symptoms being persistent for at least two weeks and generally will interfere with one's ability to perform their normal everyday activities.

Miles experienced a major depressive episode following the State vs. Skye case (Rise From the Ashes), although he had been spiraling since before the State vs. Edgeworth case (Turnabout Goodbyes). Before that point, he likely would have been diagnosed with Persistent Depressive Disorder (PPD), which is a less severe version of MDD but generally lasts longer than a single episode. Miles has had major depressive episodes before the one that ultimately saw him leaving his job and disappearing for a year, but they were less severe.

The symptoms he experiences include feelings of extreme guilt and hopelessness, loss of pleasure of things he normally enjoys, decreased appetite, insomnia, fatigue, lack of concentration, and suicidal ideation.

He was likely predisposed to MDD, but it manifested because of his trauma and abuse history. He might have it without those things, but the severity would likely be a bit lower.

Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder

I'm a bit hesitant with this one because personality disorders are a whole different category, and diagnosing them is really complex. Personality disorders are called such because they are rooted within someone's personality, sometimes due to years of maladaptive patterns of behavior. It often has to do with using juvenile coping methods and never really learning to use better ones. Miles does fit a lot of the patterns, but I'm not sure it's the perfect diagnosis for him because it's difficult to tell if it's a part of his personality or some sort of chemical imbalance (believed to be the cause of many mental illnesses that are not personality disorders).

OCPD, which is also called Anankastic Personality Disorder, is a kind of personality disorder that is characterized by perfectionism, need for control, and cognitive rigidity. It is similar in some ways to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, but it is considered a separate diagnosis.

Miles' symptoms include preoccupation with orderliness and organization, obsession with rules, perfectionism to the point where it interferes with productivity (i.e. he may not sleep the night before a trial because he feels the need to prepare for every single possibility that may come up in court, rather than not getting his work done on time), rigidity and stubbornness, and inflexibility about moral issues (i.e. everything is either good or bad, black or white; there are no gray areas).

While the exact cause of OCPD is unknown, it's likely that this was influenced greatly by von Karma.

With this cocktail of mental illnesses comes certain behavioral patterns and coping mechanisms. Due to the fact that Miles is a functional member of society with a high stress job that he is very, very good at, it's clear that his coping mechanisms are working for him, at least for the short term. However, he has a distinct lack of a social life and not very many friends, along with the fact that his abuser is still a part of his life after he moves out. Without treatment and removing the severely negative factors in his life, it's likely a major depressive episode was inevitable.

Miles' coping methods were effective in the short term, but they were not positive coping methods. Here is a non-comprehensive list of his coping methods:

Distraction. He will bury himself in work to avoid dealing with his emotions. (Note: this is not necessarily a negative coping method, but being as he never actually deals with things, it's not a positive one either.)

Self-medication. He abuses prescription benzodiazepines (like Xanax or Ativan). However, there is a stipulation to this: he has a legitimate prescription, and, while he almost always takes at least one a day, he will not resort to breaking the law to get extra. The last few days before he is allowed to refill his prescription are days you want to stay very far away from him.

Self harm. Although less prevalent in adulthood, he was a cutter the entire time he was living under von Karma's roof. His cuts are very well hidden, mostly on his thighs.

Avoidance. He actively avoids situations that will spike his anxiety, to the point where he climbs twelve flights of stairs every single day so that he doesn't have to take the elevator. (Also not necessarily a negative coping mechanism, except for the great lengths he'll go to to avoid certain things.)

Aggression. While much of the time, his reprimands to subordinates are due to a lack of competency on their parts, he also sometimes derives pleasure from putting other people down. This is especially true in the courtroom, where he can generally outwit a defense attorney.

So, what can he do about it?

This blog's canon is that Miles started receiving psychiatric treatment after leaving his suicide note and fleeing the country. I'm not sure if this happened because of an actual suicide attempt or for some other reason. With official diagnoses and proper therapy and medication, he was able to rebuild himself into the man we see in the later games.

He also got Pess while he was in Europe, who is a certified service dog trained to help him deal with his PTSD symptoms in particular. She is more than an emotional support dog, although she performs those tasks for him as well. What makes her a service dog is that she is trained to get him to safety in earthquakes, protect him in the event of a full flashback, wake him up from nightmares, etc.

She is the absolute light of his life, and he adores her. He takes her just about everywhere, although he doesn't always need her services. The main place she does not go with him is the courthouse. But she has a doggy bed in his office and strolls around the twelfth floor most of the day.

Just because Miles is in treatment and on medications doesn't mean he is magically better, though. Many of the things he deals with now, he will be dealing with the rest of his life. The difference is that he is getting the resources he needs to deal with these things in a healthier manner. There will still be bad days and weeks and months, and there are still things he hasn't addressed. For instance, his addiction to benzos is still something he won't admit to needing to deal with and is very good at hiding it from his acquaintances. He still hasn't completely processed the idea that his life was so incredibly influenced by a man who was setting him up for failure from the beginning. He still has trouble admitting that what happened to him was abuse.

It's a long process, but he is finally on the right path.

Expert Suggests which Foods to Embrace & Avoid to Ease Anxiety

According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), 40 million American adults suffer from anxiety. · Dark chocolate – Contains a high level of tryptophan and magnesium, both known to reduce anxiety. · Water – A University of Connecticut study shows that even mild dehydration can cause mood problems including anxiety so drink plenty of water. · Fatty fish – Eaten in moderation (2-3 times/week), some fish like salmon, mackerel, sardines and trout contain Omega 3 fatty acids that are known to regulate neurotransmitters that promote healthy brain function and reduce anxiety. · Eggs -- Eggs contain tryptophan, an amino acid that helps create serotonin, a known anxiety reliever. · Yogurt -- Yogurt contains healthful bacteria and multiple studies show that they can reduce the inflammation that can help relieve anxiety, stress and depression.

Among the foods that can aggravate anxiety:

· Soda – Sodas contain aspartame, which blocks the production of serotonin thus affecting one’s anxiety level and mood swings. · Caffeine – Found in many foods from coffee and energy drinks to weight loss pills and some flavors of ice cream, excess caffeine can increase one’s anxiety level. · Alcohol – While OK in moderation, alcohol is a toxin that can negatively impact the levels of serotonin in the brain thus fueling anxiety. · Processed foods -- Generally, processed foods are high in gluten and refined sugars, both of which can adversely affect mood and increase one’s anxiety level. · Sodium – Foods high in sodium like pizza, fried chicken and those with a “fat free” label can trigger panic episodes and send you down a slippery slope of anxiety
