- He would definitely like someone who is responsible and serious about their work just like himself. He admires it whenever they're strict to follow the rules and understand the importance of it like how he is as well. Seeing how diligent they are about their schoolwork would also earn a good impression from the housewarden himself, even better if they're a decently knowledgeable person. - Though he probably needs someone who's always there in his most tired, vulnerable moment too; someone who will comfort him, tell him that he did well, etc. just be there to whisper sweet words, like how hardworking he was on that day, he'll melt into their embrace almost immediately. Let him rest his head on your shoulder or chest, slowly drifting off from tiredness yet his face looks so peaceful and content... Your warmth and gentleness are something he definitely needs after everything that he endured and went through. Of course, those moments are rare since he need to put on a front being a honor student and a dorm leader, so be sure to stick by his side to catch it. - He needs a s/o who can tell him to get loose and take breaks occasionally too, due to how he always being strict on himself. Or whenever he gets angry, they'll be there to calm him down so he won't start an outburst knowing how easily angry he can get. - He isn't really keen on appearance too much, but he would prefer it if his s/o know how to dress properly and formally enough. He is a housewarden after all, so a partner that dress as good as him is enough for a great impression towards Riddle. No need for such things like super fancy make-up or expensive jewelries. - Bonus: if his s/o knows how to bake, surprise him his with favorite sweet strawberry tart occasionally! He'll be pretty flustered that they put so much love and effort into this beautiful tart and would just melt internally, and every bite would taste like heaven for sure 💖

- He's definitely into people who know how to make jokes or have fun, it's one of the most important things to create impressions toward a guy like him after all! It never hurts to let loose and have fun once in a while y'know. - Though it doesn't have to be someone fun all the time, it could just be someone who could be able to keep up with his shenanigans most of the time or just know how to get loose instead of being uptight or serious. Of course, that doesn't mean letting this guy commit whatever horrible thing he's about to do, his s/o has an important mission and that is to stop him from getting scolded again by the teachers! - He's definitely an appearance type of guy, I mean, just guys being guys y'know; he's probably into cute, cheerful type or maybe a bit girly. But his s/o doesn't have to appear to his taste entirely, just someone being confident enough in their look also earns a point from him too! Giving him a big, goofy grin while making funny hand sings definitely would earn a laugh out of this guy for sure. - Because he's a rather mischievous type of guy, his s/o could be someone who can keep up with it. Or even better, being teasing or joking back at him, it would catch him off guard his s/o actually followed along and that would definitely want him to get their attention. The more unexpected they're around him, the more he would want their attention since he thought they're the most interesting person he has ever encountered! (He won't admit that it's because he falls for them though) - Bonus: One way to get his affection is to watch him playing basketball, like cheering him on or patiently waiting for the match to be over. Just imagine his reaction when you give him a cheerful grin and give him a cool drink as a way to tell him he did well! I'm sure you've earned a spot in his heart at that moment 💖

- Because he used to be a rumble delinquent, he probably needs a s/o that would accept his past and encourage him to not be scared, because they'll accept him for who he is no matter what, and that's what he's looking for the most in his partner because he too, want someone to tell him that it's okay to have a bad past, but what matter is how he is himself now and they love him for it~ - No matter how he acts, specifically, whenever he switches to his delinquent mode by accident in front of his s/o, he doesn't want you to be scared or avoid him because of it. That is the last thing he ever wanted - to hurt his partner. And if you saw his "bad boy" mode by accident, be sure to reassure him that you are totally alright with it and it won't drive you away! - He will admire a s/o who is diligent, smart and hardworking, since he is also a hardworking person after all. If his s/o is someone that shows their knowledge in a way that goes "Oh, I read this in a book that..." then our boy is gonna be super impressed! He loves it when you also talk about something you like too and share your knowledge with him, he'll always be ready to listen just to be impressed all over again like the first time. Since he's a slow learner, it would also be great if you could be patient and teach him things that he asks you, don't worry, he is very attentive, especially since it's you being his tutor after all. - He'll probably like it if his s/o is someone strong physically, even better if they don't appear like it; just imagine the astonished look on his face when he sees them easily carry heavy things despite their appearance! - I think that out of all the twst characters, Trey is the most easy-going when it comes to partner preference. He's pretty open to any type of people so to him, preference isn't something that he keen on too much, also since he's taking care of everyone most of the time or being the older brother figure, you can expect him to be the perfect, caring boyfriend~ - Though I think he would have special feelings more towards people that are mature with a somewhat older siblings vibe that is capable of taking care of others just like him. He might not appear like it, but he would really appreciate it if he's the one receiving instead of the other way around once in a while, it's the most effective way towards his heart! - It doesn't have to be a s/o that's mature or has an older sibling vibe all the time, they can also just be someone really sweet and supportive. Actively helping him out in the kitchen or tagging along with him in school, that is enough to tell him how affectionate they are towards him, and he too, would be affectionate back towards them. - Perhaps it could also be a s/o that likes hearing jokes or easy-going like him too. Occasionally, he would joke around or make small teases, and if his s/o replied with a laugh or just showed how much they're having fun around him, he would feel really relieved that they love this side of him too, since not many people can take jokes well or sometimes they would even take it seriously. (Ex: the Walrus seal oyster sauce joke) - Bonus: If his s/o is someone who loves sweets then get ready for a gift full of sweetness (literally and figuratively) delivered to them almost everyday! Simply complimenting how delicious they're with a happy expression and that would be enough to earn a heart point from Trey! Even more if his s/o gives him something that they baked themselves as a gift, I'm sure he'll treasure every single little bite with how much effort they put into them 💖

- Because he's a trendy, fun loving person, I think he would definitely like a s/o that is a fun fellow to be around him! Even better if they also like trendy things; just imagine you guys talking for hours and hours about the latest trends and how do you 2 can follow it, especially those couple trends on magicam. - But of course, it doesn't have to be someone with the same preference as him, it could just be someone chill and easygoing too. If his s/o is a curious, attentive person then he'll definitely love sharing his interests and all the latest trends if they ask him. They don't have to follow it, the way they give him a curious cute look while listening to him talking is already enough to show how much they care about him, and he would be so into them! - He's still overall a chill person that wanna take it easy, so he probably would like his s/o to be the same as him too. Sometimes, just a comfortable silence between the two of you would be enough as he scrolls through his phone casually, with your head on his shoulder or vice versa. - He might have a few preferences when it comes to appearance, such as a cute, trendy or confident s/o who knows how to style themselves. It's totally okay if they're someone more casual, but a well-dressed appearance is if not, a must if you want to impress him first hand. - Bonus: I think Cater is not a person who falls in love easily, but if his s/o tell him how much they love him with a genuine expression, eyes full of sincerity like they really, really mean it, then he'll fall more than just hard~ He probably received a lot of compliments before but none probably meant genuine for him, until he meets someone as amazing as you 💖

- Oh, you're pretty daring enough if you wanna date someone like him. I mean, he's the housewarden of Savanaclaw we're talking about here, a real lion prince, if you managed to get his heart then I'd say you're already pretty great yourself! I mean, you already saw how others think of him with their tails in between their legs... - Though, if we're talking about preference, he would definitely like someone who won't be noisy and interrupt his precious napping time. Maybe someone that lets him lay down on their lap, stroking his hair or his fluffy ears while he's sleeping. He might deny it but those low purrs and growls are telling a whole different story. Sometimes he could also use them as a great pillow to hug too, with his head on your chest and arm wrapped around your frame, just be prepared for staying like that for the next 3 hours though... - He would find naive s/o interesting too, so easy to mess around and tease, their expression is truly entertaining to watch with the way their round eyes look astonished, then blush brightly from the way he tease them. Like a lion messing around with the little naive herbivore~ He could never get enough or tired of it. - Maybe he would also like a s/o that can be bold or challenging at the right time. Surprises are a welcoming thing, and Leona isn't an exception to it. A somewhat teasing, flirty relationship between you two would be entertaining and also something fun that he would seek for, he does like it when his "prey" fight back after all, though he'll just eat them up in the end like a lion he is. (interpret it as however you want...) - Bonus: One way to really catch the lion prince off-guard is outsmarting him. Pretty hard to do considering how Leona is, I know, but once your wits manage to catch him by the tail, he'll be pretty surprised his s/o is someone more than just his expectation. Maybe acting a little bit daring while we're at it, but I'm sure that he knows how special his s/o is and that no one else is like them 💖

- I think for Ruggie, he probably would prefer a s/o that is smart and witty like him, maybe even better if they're street smart too as he'll be very impressed someone is the same as him. After all, people who have great practical skills can't be someone lazy from a spoiled, rich family right? Don't get him wrong, he didn't mean bad things, but it's just so because he grew up in such an environment, you couldn't blame him for thinking like that. - Though of course, it doesn't have to be someone like him, it could just be a s/o that likes to take care of others or be very supportive too. They can help him out with his errands; expect him to ask if you want anything in return though, since it has been his mindset for a long time now. But hey, if you help him enough in a sincere way without asking for something else, he might start to open his heart to you a bit and trust you more...? Everything takes time including love after all, so be patient~ - Another preference he would like maybe a somewhat naive s/o. Teasing them is nothing but fun for a cunning hyena like him. I mean, he could also use this chance to impress him with his skills in a way too, their face is just so entertaining to watch, but he probably warns them to be careful or bad people gonna get to them easily~ (ex: Ruggie himself) - Because Ruggie grew up really poor, he is someone who treasures and treats food way more important than normal people would, so if his s/o is someone who knows how to cook then he'd feel like he just stepped into heaven~ I mean, just imagine the happy but surprised face when they feed him such luxurious handmade food that they put so much love into, he feels like he's eating a buffet! His s/o could also make lunch for him daily as well, you two could share together as you feed him your homemade food, and his round ears would twitch in happiness for sure. - Bonus: Something sweet, surprising and genuine would be the best way to get his heart. For example, a bag full of warm, fluffy donuts would do! He loves those sweet treats a lot, so if you have free time be sure to bake some for him alright? As there's a phrase goes "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach" after all 💖

- He would like someone very responsible about themselves and take their work seriously and fairly with no underhanded methods or cheating. Seeing how diligent they are, he definitely would think his s/o is a great and respectful person to be with. I think if they recognize him and compliment him back, that will get him flustered too, though he might deny it with a grumpy expression. (He's just being a bit of a "tsundere" as you call it) - Someone with a moral worthy of his respect is also one of his preferences too. Do try to not misunderstand his coldness, he's a real softie deep down, so if you act kind towards him with no ill intent whatsoever, he'll quickly understand what kind of a person you are and won't be cold towards you much the more you two hanging out... and maybe it'll turn into something more precious than just friendship~ - Once you earn his respect, he'll become your biggest protector that you can imagine. Nobody will dare to mess around with you once you have a giant bodyguard like him tagging along. If his s/o is a bit of a tease and affectionate person, remember to thank him with small pecks on the cheek or a hug, our wolf boy would be pretty flustered with a wagging tail! Speaking of that, he wouldn't mind a bit of a tease too since I think he would like it. (Although he'll deny it again or so) - He isn't an appearance type of person, but if his s/o is someone smaller or shorter than him then his protecting instinct would happen more often. Also, it's cute when your smaller frame tries to wrap both arms around his bigger one, he would unconsciously feel flustered but also found it a bit cute. - Bonus: While it might sound a bit rude to him... or not, but I think if his s/o treats him like he's a big, cuddly and fluffy dog he would get super flustered. Like imagine you give him a big, cute grin while petting his big ears or his super poofy fluffy tail, oh the wolf boy would be so "tsun" about it. His s/o is the only one who can touch his tail or brush it! It's also a way to show affection towards a big wolf like him too, so don't hold back 💖

"I was thinking, 'Nancy Wheeler, she’s not just another suburban girl who thinks she’s rebelling by doing exactly what every other suburban girl does... until that phase passes and they marry some boring one-time jock who now works sales, and they live out a perfectly boring little life at the end of a cul-de-sac. Exactly like their parents, who they thought were so depressing, but now, hey, they get it.'"

The way this scene, this quote, has such a chokehold on the Stranger Things fandom to the point that most people refuse to let Steve or Nancy out of the box it pigeonholes them into. I'm always so baffled when people reference it as ✨proof✨ that they shouldn't get back together.

First of all, what Jonathan is doing here is projecting. Big time. He barely even knows Nancy at this point (beyond being his brother's friend's sister) but he's got this idealized version of her in his head and this, you know, Nice Guy complex that makes him think he knows the Real True Nancy, that he's the guy who really sees her for who she is and not who she pretends to be. He says as much to defend his picture taking. "I saw this girl, you know, trying to be someone else. But for that moment, it was like you were alone, or you thought you were. And, you know, you could just be yourself." Which, again, lemme repeat that he barely even knows her.

BUT ACTUALLY. The reason Jonathan is so disparaging is because he has this annihilistic approach to romance/marriage/happily-ever-afters in general based on his own experiences that have NOTHINGGGG to do with who he's even perceiving Nancy to be here. Case in point, fast-forward to season 4. Even when him and Nancy are dating and seemingly headed toward a lifetime together, he can't help but think they'll end up just like his parents based off of nothing but the fact that he doesn't want to go to the same college as her: "the cycle never ends." This is why I say Jonathan was projecting in the scene above. Not because he's full of bullshit but because, first and foremost, he already has trouble believing happy marriages can exist in the first place. So surely Nancy is just going through the motions with Steve, and of course that's just going to lead to resentment. That's the end result, right? Regardless of whether she's dating Steve or with Jonathan himself, it's the ending he assigns to both relationships.

It's also worth noting that, at this point in time, only 5 episodes into the first season, there is definitely a lot of truth in what Jonathan's implying about Steve and Nancy's relationship. Steve's still King Steve at this point, he's only just starting to crawl forward, he hasn't even gotten the thunk on the head he credited Nancy with giving him. So, yeah, it's very easy for Nancy to hear this superficial reading of her and Steve's relationship and want to rebel against it because, at that point, at that exact moment in time, her and Steve very well could have headed down that path.

But the thing is, what you can apply to these s1 characters (by way of this scene) is no longer applicable to their s4 characters - at least where Steve and Nancy are concerned. Nancy once admitted she didn't want to be trapped in a loveless marriage that ended with a cul-de-sac and a husband too checked out to look up from the newspaper. Great news is, that version of who Steve could've been no longer exists. Steve is now the guy who shows up when Nancy is first feeling adrift (present instead of distant,) he's the guy hoping to tag along on her investigative quests (interested instead of dismissive,) he's the guy literally leaping headfirst into danger (active instead of passive,) he's the one holding onto her with both hands during her Vecna mindfuck, he's at her side the entire time once they reunite.

So.

If ever there was a point being made about s1 Steve's incompatibility with Nancy by way of his early-on passivity, then SURELYYYYY there is something to be said about how directly involved s4 Steve was in aiding Nancy and what that says about their CURRENT compatibility.

Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?

Sky shows a lot of love via physical contact. He would love to have you sit on his lap all day while he plays with your hair and braids flowers into it. Maybe taking a ride on his loftwing if the weather would allow for it. Taking the time to relax with each other and to spend the day doing lazy sunny activities and enjoying the atmosphere of the castle or while in the sky. He is quite the cuddle bug so anything that allows him to be close enough to radiate body heat makes him a happy camper.

This isn't an issue if you two are already close and if you don't have any issues with being held by him, but If you don't know each other very well then him running up and wrapping his arms around you can be a little off putting. He's just so friendly that it's hard to see past the mask and realize that it springs from something much darker until it’s too late. It’s a change some people can see but very few will understand how deeply affected he is by his love for you.

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

Sky can get messy, he is willing to dish out whatever punishment is needed to get his way. Trust him when he says that no one would notice if someone just fell off of Skyloft one day. There's so many people around and not everyone will notice the hero missing for a few days to take care of some outside matters.

Before they settle on the surface it's as easy as abandoning them on the surface or just making sure they never see the light of day again and leave their body to be picked clean by the surface animals. I mean who will find out? You think even if they did find your friend's corpse that they'll be able to pin it to him? Accidents and mysteries happen all the time after all.

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

It's really hard to lock you away while on skyloft. By the time he's able and ready to buy a house his adventure is over and they're settling, beginning to start building on the surface. This is prime abducting time because there's so much unexplored and unclaimed land that getting a cabin in the middle of the woods is as simple as building one and leaving you in it.

Once you are his he won’t mock you on purpose but sometimes Sky will get talking and start bragging without realizing it. It can come off as preaching and very much a form of bragging about how simple it was to lure you here and how no one will ever come looking for you in the wild. In reality he's not doing this to rub your nose in how helpless you are, he's trying to explain how easy it was to lure you away from safety into the dangerous unknown and starts laughing because how stupid must you be to allow him to corner you? You must have wanted him all along if you were to be so easily deceived by his charm. You think he's so sweet don't you~?

To him you being here is just proof that you two are meant to bo! Because if you weren't meant to be here you wouldn't have allowed yourself to be so easily swayed by his charm, i mean you do find him charming don't you? You blush so prettily for him whenever he learns it and traces a finger along your jaw as he gently forces you to make eye contact with him. Why blush like that if it's not love? You never look at anyone else like that. Sky’s made sure that he's the only one your sweet helpless gaze will fall on.

Can this come off as bragging and mocking? Yes, but he's so sweet and point of fact about it he rides a fine line between being too much and being so sweet and naive it's hard to tell if he's a mastermind or just good at getting a reaction from you. It's honestly a bit of both.

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

He would force cuddles onto you. Convincing himself that if he can hold you through your anger you'll start to love him more. That is until you start to cuss him out or try to attack him. He’ll happily tie you up or gag you before laying back down with you pulled tight against his chest.

Look, snuggling with him isn't something you can escape and he hates it when you ruin such a sweet moment all because you can't handle benign given affection.

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

Oh Sky tells you everything. What he ate that morning, the bugs he saw on the stump during his morning walk, all the cool jokes he heard since the last time he told you them, and how much he thought of you while falling asleep last night. Tucking you in for bed isn't enough. He has to stare longingly into your eyes and ask if you look at the world the same way he does and if it's possible to truly know the contents of another soul so that way he may try to relate to you just how much you mean to him.

This man not is not only down bad he's writing poetry about the colour of your eyes in his head because he cant stop thinking about you.

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

There's absolutely no way you're going to win that fight so why pick it in the first place? The idea doesn't even strike him and if it does he never entertains it because of how quickly he'd be able to win. Not only is he a master sword fighter he has absolutely no time for your silly games or your attitude. Fighting back in any way is not tolerated. You wouldn't be able to land a blow and the punishment afterwards is being tied up for several weeks with many restrictions being put in place until you learn your lesson. I mean what did you expect from the man who made the master sword what it is today?

He'll berate you the entire time you're at his mercy while being punished. I mean a whole god couldn't even take him down, what makes you think you're any better? He's had fights against beetles that have done more damage and he makes sure to add insult to injury so you never feel safe enough to go after him again. He would probably put a blade in your hand and ask you to come at him just so he could wipe the floor with you and make sure you never try to put that blade in his back instead.

Sure he’ll go the kind route first but if that fails he's not giving up on making you his.

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

It’s not a game but there is a means to an end. If he sees an opportunity to say let you run away with some hope you might leave just so he can crush that hope by chasing you down he will. He'll make punishments into games just to make sure you don't want to leave him again but it's a last ditch effort. He loves you and having to be tough on you is something to be taken when the punishment suits the crime. It's not an everyday move.

Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

The look in his eyes as he changes from Sky, your childhood friend back on skyloft who was always a little tired but smiled at everyone nonetheless, to Link the honourable knight of Hylia, the god killer, It's scary how much a look in the eyes and some body language can change the image of the man in front of you but it's as quick as a blink of the eye and now he's after you. Whatever you did to change him (telling Zelda about what he's done, talking bad about his destiny or the sword, or insulting his pride too much are issues he takes seriously) it isn't something he can just turn a blind eye to. A lesson must be laid down.

Lucky for you he was at a school so he'll come up with a creative hands on activity to teach you the importance of mutual respect. Somewhere in there he's still the same sweet lovestruck boy you always knew, right?

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

Living together and settling on a homestead somewhere. His destiny is complete and now he has to help Zelda settle and create Hyrule with the rest of the people from up above. You're in that picture too, standing inside of a house you both helped build. Difference is is how much freedom everyone else has compared to you. How much you play into his love and how much he can trust you is a direct line to more freedom but only if you're willing to accept giving into him completely.

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

He gets minor jealousy a lot and on the rare occasion he gets really jealous and starts giving out death glares that would make the toughest warrior turn into a wretch.

Back on Skyloft everyone was really tight knit and friendly. They were one group of people trapped on a giant floating rock with a limited amount of space to get away. This was great for forming connections with everyone; and an easy way to corner you and making sure you couldn't go anywhere without him knowing (a missing loftwing is always noted, especially when it's yours that's gone). However seeing people being friendly with each other up there isn't unheard of. On the occasion you seem to be flirting with someone or if they flirt with you Sky will drag you away and make sure to have a talk with them later.

Which is to say he gets upset seeing you with someone when he isn't there but not enraged like he does when you get to the surface. You could be anywhere else (like in his arms for example) and you chose to be there? The issue starts when you have the ability to choose to only stay in his arms and go reaching out to others as well. He just doesn't get why you need people other than him, I mean some part of him understands why so he'll try to curve back on it (as long as you make up for it with cuddles and dont try again until his anger and sadness subsides). Just never show interest in another or linger with someone for too long. They won't last long if you do.

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

It's ridiculous how in love with you he is and everyone can tell just by the look on his face. When he's not blushing from ear to ear he always looks as buzzed as a bee when by your side. Sky is stuck to your side from the moment he decides you're his.

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

A mixture of casual courting and yandere obsessions. While on the surface he's just being friendly and taking it slow, in reality he's already broken into your dorms and gone through everything of yours. Sky has already found out what your favourite foods are, what books you like to read, several of your secrets, and he's using every piece of information he finds to formulate a strategy to make you fall for him as well. What do you mean you don't love him? He already knows everything about you! No one else is willing to do what he is for you so why run from the person who will always treat you right?

Who else loves you so much to do this? If you say the name of anyone else, mind you they won't see the sunrise tomorrow or ever again but the fact is he's going through such lengths for you how can you not find it adorable?

Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?

Yes but that's mostly because he’s not in a romantic relationship with anyone else. He is such a sweet old loverboy and a joyful hopeless romantic that when you find your way into his life he is going to be head over heels crushing over you so hard. It's so sweet and innocent at first; making his schedule constantly intertwine into yours, to forging papers saying your new dorm will be right next to his and slipping it into the headmaster's stack of paperwork on his desk just to keep you closer.

Everyone can see how close you two are and how destiny itself seems to be playing into the two of you getting together, because why else would all of these coincidences keep happening? In reality Sky is planning it all on the level of a mastermind hidden behind the sweetest blue eyes.

Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

Taking away your rights and treating you as helpless. Ok to be fair, acting like you're the most fragile china in the cupboard is normal for Sky, if you get in trouble he will up this to eleven after the fact. Along with the actual punishment he doesn't see you as capable of taking care of yourself on your own so any attempts to break away from this mould will only be met with eye rolls and uncaring smiles until he sees a spark of rebellion.

Taking away your rights also plays into this idea of you being helpless more so it's used as a way to keep you in line. What he takes away depends on how much freedom you had before. Talking to others is the first to go, then your access to the outdoors, being alone, leaving the house, even what you want to wear or eat will fall down to his decisions if you push back too much.

Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?

How willing are you going to go with him? I mean he can be really good if you don't mind playing into his idea of you being helpless without him and go along with his dreams. Yeah you can leave and go to town with him if you keep up with how needy he can be. Don't charge into conversations and play it safe rather than doing what you want to be and Sky will be perfectly fine!

Mild manners and not following directions leads to you being allowed access to the yard while being watched and walks around the surrounding area while he hides the rope he used to tie your hand to his are also allowed- you know, as a treat! Everything else is up in the air as he decides if you're going to do what he needs you to.

Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

Link can be very patient with you. It hurts when you yell at him and he truly hates hearing you cry but he does what he needs to to keep his love safe from the cruel world outside. He can give you everything you need and if you would just let him show you that then it would all be fine! Hugs and cuddles while he rocks and soothes you to sleep as you whine and bemoan your fate is met with heartfelt apologies for keeping you here but it was for the best. Don't try to leave him or fight and he's as buzzed as a bee, even if you arent as happy as you could be to him it's only a matter of time; after all he knows everything about you, and how could you not love him? Using the status as hero to sway you into courting him is also on the table. Trust me this man will do whatever it takes to win your heart. He does on all levels want you to be happy and he cares so much about you it hurts him to have to see you this way.

Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

Nope! Not at all he will never forget his lost love and if it’s something like you dying or getting lost he will petition Hylia or go to Zelda for help. They have to be able to do something useful because if the gods can't help him what good are they? After everything he's done for them they have to offer him this one bit of respite. I can see him absolutely using everything he’s learned to try and find you or bring you back. Necromancy is bad but I mean, does it count if it’s for you? He can play dumb and just kill the perpetrator afterwards anyways.

Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?

He’d never feel bad and he’d never let you go. I mean what the point of going through all the trouble to stalk you for years, save the world, come back home to your arms, kidnap you, and bring you to the surface with him in a house meant for the two of you if he was going to throw it all down the drain? He’s serious when he says that he's in this for life. You're his now.

Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?

Before his journey it was puppy love. He was so wide eyed and curious and it made him feel something he never really felt before. He went head over heels for someone and couldn't find the perfect way to introduce himself so he settled for the pattern of watching you throughout the day and avoiding encounters until he knew enough to make you as crazy for him as he was for you.

During and after his journey it was the relaxation he felt when around you. Even at his worst knowing he was saving you was the light at the end of the tunnel. He didn't know what was going to happen to him or his friends or Zelda or how he would manage in the final fight but he knew you would be there for him. He could always go and see your face; which is a double edged sword. I mean what if you got sick or passed while he was away. If he was by your side mind you he would never, ever, in his life! Let you die on his watch. The fact that he isn't there right now is a sore spot for him and he fights like a bat out of hell to finish his quest and to make it back to you.

Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

Isolating yourself from others? Not an issue seeing as he wants you all to himself anyways. Isolating yourself from him? Now that's an issue. Sky does not tolerate this well and will ask you about what's wrong and make you feel better to the best of his abilities. Given that he has stalked you for years up to this point he could in all honestly just buy you a gift and make you your favourite food and then lay the price of coming out of your shell in order to receive them. He will have already bought you items according to your tastes and decorated your house the way you two like it so you don't feel completely lost; but he can understand that this is a huge change for everyone! The surface is so different, just focus on your hobbies while he lays next to you and it will all be ok.

Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

Considering the fact that he is the god slayer I would consider the fact that he can exploit his hero status for your love a different tactic. Sky doesn't like to do this often but if it proves to be effective then he will happily lord it over you. Reminding you of it both to gain love and as a fear tactic. Honestly Sky doesn't even need to do it himself, others will do it for him. In the sky and on the ground people will talk about him and his exploits for years to come. Being his spouse or being seen on his arm is big news to the town and people love to gossip so it can be good to keep you stuck to his side. Because if you ever leave they'll report it back to him. Everyone in this world owes him a huge favor so even if you do escape people could very well turn a blind eye to what goes on.

Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?

If you aren't prone to fighting, can be stealthy, somehow saved up some money and supplies, and have enough of his trust that his honed senses won't wake himself up once he notices you're gone then you could escape. Good luck staying gone though. He has plans for how to get you back if the worst comes and most of them involve getting Zelda to join his side in this cause.

Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?

Never as punishment or on purpose but there have been times that he doesn't realise he’s tied the rope too tight until there's already marks. He hates it and will apologize and rub the sore spots until they feel better again.

Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?

Does he worship you like a deity? Not really but more so than others? He fights to keep your light in his life and he will defend your honour against any who would try to harm it; but it's not a ‘i see you as your own person’ thing rather a ‘you are a fragile person who needs me or else you'll fall and break’ type issue. You are the love and light of his life, his sword is yours and in the back of his mind he knows you're not strong enough to carry yourself in this world so he'll do it for you. Even if you are so blinded that you can't even see how fragile you are it's ok because keeping you safe includes keeping you safe from yourself.

Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?

A year at most. After Link returns from his journey he is coming straight for you. He has already made it clear before he got back that he needed to make you his and leave his mark so no one else may take you from him and now that the danger is gone and he has the rest of his life ahead of him he can finally go ahead and put those plans into action.

Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?

No. Sky couldn't do it on purpose but he could maybe accidentally do so. I feel like if you never learned the rules (or just never bothered to follow them) you may gain some form of stockholm but he couldn't do it on purpose.

Quickstart Guide to getting into the She-Ra and the Princesses of Power fandom on Tumblr

(Maybe someone has made one of these already but i am behind because of NaNoWriMo so I am making my own because I do what I want.)

Welcome to Tumblr, new or returning user! It's lovely here and the SPOP fandom is still quite active. Here's a quickie guide on how to become a part of it!

Finding content

Confusingly, this fandom uses three main tags: SPOP, She Ra, SheRa (Tumblr ignores case as well as the - in She-Ra so using She-Ra is effectively exactly the same as using just She Ra or she ra). Then there are tags for individual ships (some of the most popular ones are Catradora, Entrapdak, Glimbow, Seamista, Scorfuma etc).

To find content, search for either one of the main fandom tags (spop, shera, she ra) or the tag for your favorite character or ship. They'll be a big blue follow button under the tag you can press so that Tumblr will automatically pepper new posts from your followed tags into your dash.

Then, while you're looking at the search results, take note of who's posting stuff you like and start to follow the people whose posts you dig so they'll appear on your dash. (Understand that some blogs are side blogs so the blog that you followed and the one that follows you back or likes your stuff may have completely different names because one is the side blog and one is the main.)

Looking for something niche? Try a combo of terms! (Tumblr recently changed things so you can search within post content AND tags. So if you're getting, say, Hunger Games and My Little Pony results while trying to search for Glimmer, try searching for Glimmer SPOP instead to narrow the results down.)

Just remember that search results and tag results are different things! Search results show all posts with those terms anywhere in the post while tag results are literally only posts tagged with that exact phrase.

Sharing your content

When posting, make sure you tag your content in the tag field at the bottom of the posting form, each tag separately. As you start to type, the site will helpfully suggest popular tags to get your started. Unlike on other sites, you CAN have spaces in your tags (so it's Best Friend Squad not BestFriendSquad). No need to add the hashtag, Tumblr will do that for you after you hit submit.

At the least, you'll want to include the base fandom tags (spop, shera, she ra) and then any ships or characters in your post (Catra, Adora, Entrapta, etc). Other tags it might be helpful to add are any triggers, descriptors like fanart, fanfic, meta, incorrect quotes, etc or something for your own blog organization (like "my art" or "fics by me"). In yee olden days of Tumblr, you had to do things like make "Catradora fanart" or "shera catra" a tag (and some people still do this out of habit) but the way Tumblr has changed search, if you just make Catradora and fanart separate tags, it will show for anyone who searches for both.

Making Friends and Followers: Reblog and interact!

Tumblr lets you be as social (or not!) as you want. The reason the site is called Tumblr is posts get tossed around and around with other users adding tags and notes that (in theory anyway) make it better and get you more engagement: like a rock tumbler making dirty rocks all shiny. There are a million posts already on here that say this but I'm going to say it again: Likes do nothing. They are basically bookmarks. The way to connect with people on here and to keep the fandom alive is to reblog content and, if you want, add comments or tags.

See a cool headcanon? Reblog and add your thoughts! Someone posts a fanfic idea? Reblog and let them know how excited you'd be to read that! Every post on Tumblr is a collaboration and reblogs are how you pass posts around and support the content creators.

If people don't want you to interact with their posts, they will turn reblogging off so you never have to worry that your commentary isn't welcome. Reblogging your own stuff with commentary is a great way to get more engagement on it (say reblogging your fanart a few days after you posted it with some behind the scenes trivia about what gave you the idea for it or what brushes you used or reblogging to add some of your favorite reader comments from your fanfic).

Reblog the stuff you like and if you really like it? Reblog it now and queue it up to post again later. Reblog your own stuff multiple times. Don't worry about being annoying, that is 100% the culture on here so you'll fit right in. There's no algorithm so your blog is less like a book people will read in order and more like a TV channel: not everyone is watching at the same time so reruns let people catch the stuff they missed.

The more often you post about something, the more likely you are to find others who are into the same thing you are and that will help you find your happy little corner of Tumblr where you can thrive.

Discourse and drama

There is, blissfully, far less discourse and drama on here than other platforms but blocking on Tumblr is secret so feel free to block with wild abandon and no one will ever know. Want to be a little hater yourself? Know that it's a major faux pas to put ship or character hate in the tags. So if you really hate Melog, and you tag your anti-space kitty screed "anti Melog"... just know that everyone who searches for Melog will see that post unless they have specifically blocked the tag "anti melog" because Tumblr search includes tags. If you want to drink your haterade in peace, don't use the main fandom tags on anti posts and tag it as "discourse" or "drama," two commonly blocked tags. If you are a messy bitch who loves drama and WANT the people who love the character or ship to see your Big Angry Fandom Feels... just don't be surprised when the people who do love the characters or ship you are hating on interact with your posts or block you. And, on the other side, blocking the haters is as easy as blocking the users themselves or the hater tags (examples: "anti spinnerella" or "anti swift wind").

Which is all to say, be a little hater if you want but Tumblr is very much an f around and find out kind of platform so choose your experience wisely. And don't be surprised if people choose to block.

Which brings up a very important thing we're already seeing play out with new users: if you are used to a site with an algorithm such as TikTok or Twitter, you probably didn't realize how much it was coddling your fandom experience by specifically showing you posts it knows you'll agree with. Now that you're on a site with no algorithm, you're free from the insular feedback loop that you were in before and many of you are realizing that what you took to be popular takes are actually fringe opinions. It's jarring to realize you've been duped but you should be directing your anger at the platform that manipulated you, not your fellow fans who haven't been brainwashed into believing whatever you swallowed.

Other cool stuff

Download the xkit desktop browser extension for some extra features that make Tumblr even easier to use

Your blog has a queue which lets you stock up posts that Tumblr will release for you on a schedule of your choosing. VERY useful for when you go on a spree and want to reblog a billion things in a row but don't want to completely take over your followers dash. Throw all those posts in your queue and your blog will look active for days to months without you having to do anything. (This is actually the only way I blog, almost everything you see on my blog was queue up in advance)

Open up asks for art or fic prompts, questions or other conversation starters (You can block any annoying askers, even if they are anonymous!)

Schedule posts in advance such as for your favorite character's birthday or holiday / date specific stuff

tags are for visibility... but they are also for chatting and commentary? it's weird but you'll get used to it

there's no visible follower count so we're all pretty much on equal footing no matter how many followers you have

dates are hard to find on posts by design! posts never expire and old post make the rounds again all the time. It's NEVER "creepy" to go through someone's blog and like or reblog a billion old posts but every much encouraged. In fact, going through old posts to fill your queue is a great way to not only give yourself content but also give a blog you love new life!

Okay so I saw this summary from a fic from another fandom, and just couldn't help but think of obikaka:

“Before you scream, I’m just gonna go ahead and tell you that I have the rest of your family tied up in the other room, so maybe don’t.” The man’s voice had him blinking awake. Which was concerning. There were actually a number of concerning things right now. Not least of which being the stranger in black jeans and hoodie sitting beside his bed staring at him with a knife in his hand. Then, of course, his brain caught up to what was said.

“I live alone,” he mumbled, dumbly.

The man frown and his eyebrows scrunched up in confusion. “You live a- then who were all those people walking around your apartment?”

So Kakashi waking up to Obito threatening him, having tyed up other Ninja trying to kidnap or hurt Kakashi. Or maybe it's just his cute little gening that broke in to sleep at his place.

oh my god khjdsdgfzdfhjsdftkjfdtkj

Okay but imagine Obito stalking Kakashi on his off days, sort-of like in canon. He gets off on seeing how fucked up his life is, but also desperately doesn’t want him to die (because he wants Kakashi to see the new world he's building, and even if a tiny part thinks Kakashi deserves this suffering, he knows deep down it isn't his fault).

One night he's Tobi-ing around Kakashi's crappy little studio in the middle of the night, as you do when you're an undercover criminal boss and you're bored of hanging out with your loco evil flatmates. Kakashi's flat-out, exhausted after a solo S-rank, sleeping it off. He's sleeping so heavily he doesn't even notice the door to his appartment swing open.

What’s this? An assassin? Someone dares think they can take Kakashi from him?

Anyway, that's how Obito, three years too early, long before he ever intended to make an appearance, winds up pinning Konoha's jinchuuriki to the floor with a knife at his throat.

Kakashi lurches awake at Naruto's scream. Then EVERYTHING dissolves into chaos, because SENSEI DO YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND OVER? YOU DIDN'T TELL ME???? I COULDN'T SLEEP AGAIN SO I CAME OVER LIKE YOU SAID I COULD BUT NOW THERE'S A RANDOM DUDE IN YOUR BEDROOM????

Meanwhile Kakashi is freaking the everloving FUCK out because who is this man and why is he in his house and how did he get past his wards and oh god there is a BLADE at Naruto's NECK

He's slowly drawing his own emergency under-the-pillow kunai, glare fixed on the intruder. "Don't worry, Naruto. I won't let him hurt you."

And Obito, panicking to hell and back, blurts in Tobi's voice: "Haha why would Tobi hurt him? Sorry Naruto, Tobi didn't realise it was you!" He stands up and tucks his knife away, tilting his mask like he's smiling behind it (he absolutely is not.) "Naruto's right! Tobi is Kakashi-kun's boyfriend!"

Naruto immediately is all smiles, hopping to his feet and sizing Tobi up. "Oh, awesome! Hey, nice to meet you! Kakashi-Sensei's a weird old loser, but it's good that someone likes him, y'know?"

Meanwhile Kakashi is screaming get the fuck away from this creep in his head, but Tobi's body-language has switched to entirely non-threatening, and right now, his tired brain can only process that Naruto is here and this stranger is obviously dangerous. So long as he's not actively looking to hurt Naruto, that's a good thing.

"Yeah," he says, staring the guy down. "He's my boyfriend. And sorry, Naruto, but we'd like some privacy." He needs the kid out of here and far away, now. "Can you go to Gai's house? Or Iruka's?" He knows neither of them will complain about a little blonde ball of hyperactivity showing up in the middle of the night. At least, not much.

"Sure, sure!" Naruto shoots him a cheesy wink. "Have fun with your boyfriend, Sensei."

Then he's gone, ambling out the door like he didn't almost get his throat slit. He'll tell the others and they'll tell everyone, and probably tease Kakashi about this for the rest of forever, but that's the least of his worries. As soon as the door shuts behind Naruto, the kunai is out, brandished on a clear throwing line to the mystery man's vitals.

"Who," growls Kakashi, "the fuck, are you."

To which Obito (still panicking, but unable to resist the opportunity to fuck with him) lets just a teeny hint of his own deep, menacing voice infiltrate Tobi's tone, as he clasps his hands and wiggles back and forth. "Oh, but didn't you already say to Naruto, Kakashi-kun? Tobi's your boyfriend!"

He vanishes into kamui, the kunai striking the wall where he just stood.

And... scene.

Drop-zone (Shadow Of A Bluejay Ch.3)

Coming back to this series after over a year!

I honestly forgot how easy writing was when 90% (figuratively) was transcribing an existing episode.

But seriously it's fun to come back to this even though I'm not super active in the fandom anymore

You adjusted the strap of the duffle bag hanging over your shoulder.

"You'll do great kiddo" Ollie said and you rolled your eyes.

"I know. This isn't my first mission. It isn't even my first mission without you" You told him.

"Give them some space Ollie. They'll do great. I'm sure of it" Dinah said and kissed the top of your head.

"Thanks Dinah." You said, put a pair of dark shades over your eyes and stepped into the zeta-tube.

"Recognized, B-01, Bluejay"

You weren't the first to arrive at the cave. Robin and Aqualad were already there, both in civvies. Like yours Robin's eyes were covered with dark shades.

"It is good to see you again Bluejay" Kaldur said and you nodded.

"Where's everyone else?" You asked.

"Superboy is on his way back with Miss Martian and Kid Flash has yet to arrive" He replied. "That sounds about right" You said and put down your duffle beside what you assumed was Robin's bag.

Unlike Kaldur, who's costume was probably under his jacket or Miss Martian who could change into her uniform with just a thought the two of you had to carry yours around with you.

Within a few minutes Wally ran in from the Cave's main entrance and Superboy and Miss Martian came in as well, followed by Batman. He turned on the cave's main computer and projected your mission behind him.

"Isla Santa Prisca. This Island nation is the primary source of a dangerous and illegal neo steroid. A strength enhancing drug sold under the street name Venom." You explained and the images of the island quickly changed to blueprints and maps of a factory.

"Infrared heat signatures indicate their factory is still operating in full capacity but all shipments of Venom have been inexplicably cut off. That's where this team comes in. This is a covert recon mission only." Batman emphasized. "Observe and report. If the Justice League needs to intervene it will."

And then The boy wonder Robin asked the most important question.

"So who's in charge?"

"Work that out between you" Batman instructed and sent you all on your way.

Caribbean Sea July 22nd, 20:08 ECT

"Drop zone A in 30" Miss M announced and you and Kaldur both stood up, your seats on the bioship melting into the rest of the craft.

The plan Batman explained had two dropzones. Dropzone A where you and Aqualad would be dropped into the ocean about half a mile away from the shore where the two of you would then swim to the island and patch over the heat and motion sensors, allowing Robin, Kid Flash, Superboy and Miss Martian to fly to drop-zone B undetected.

You placed a rebreather over your mouth just as Miss M opened a hatch under your feet and you and Aqualad both dove into the sea. Kaldur could swim incredibly fast by nature of being an Atlantean but you used your flight to maneuver quickly in the water. It wasn't as fast as flying but it was faster than most swimmers.

Within minutes Aqualad made it to shore and patched the sensors. The rest of the Team moved on to drop-zone B while you made it to shore and put away your rebreather.

"I always think I can keep up with you and I'm always wrong" You say to lighten the mood and Kaldur chuckles.

"Now is the time where I must keep up with you" He said as the two of you made your way into the island's jungle.

It took them a few minutes to make it but Miss M's voice came over your radio.

"Aqualad, Bluejay, drop B is go" She said.

You couldn't respond seeing as you were busy flying Kaldur over a cliff in the jungle but he told her that the two of you would track their GPS while they headed for the factory.

You and Kaldur stayed silent as you made your way to the rest of the team. An aspect of covert missions They didn't seem to understand as you heard them bicker over the radio.

"Superboy, KF, we're almost at your location. Switch to infrared and check if we're being tracked" You said and Wally and Superboy each found a squad that was heading your way.

Not a minute went by and you heard gunshots from their direction.

"Is everything okay?" You asked.

"Yeah, the two squads found each other," Wally said.

"Swing wide, steer clear" Kaldur ordered.

"Yeah, yeah, just as soon as I find Rob" Wally said and promptly tripped, falling between the two squads.

"Are you kidding me?" You muttered and picked up Kaldur, deciding that flying would get you to your teammates faster than running.

As was expected once the team was found a fight broke out. Superboy went straight for Bane who was leading one of the squads. Robin jumped down from the trees and took out goons while Kid Flash dodged bullets and regained his footing.

You were almost there, you could hear more bickering over the radio and arrived just in time to knock out the last goon.

The six of you tied up both squads of now knocked out goons (and Bane) and regrouped.

"I recognize those uniforms, they belong to the Cult of the Kobra" Robin said.

"I am certain Batman would have mentioned it if he knew a dangerous extremist was running Santa prisca's Venom operation" Kaldur added.

"Agreed" You and Robin said.

It became clear that the Kobra Cult had overtaken the island from Bane and his goons.

"We get it, Kobra wanted super cultists, mystery solved. Radio Bats and we'll be home in time for—"

You cut Wally off. "Except the cultists aren't on Venom. They don't have any of the signs. Kobra must be hoarding it. I don't think our mission is done yet."

"Agreed" Robin said.

”We’re not leaving until I know why Kobra’s hoarding this stuff” Robin said.

“Until you know why?” Wally questioned.

“Yeah, this team needs a leader,” Robin retorted.

“And it’s you? Dude you’re a 13 year old kid who ducked out on us without a word” Wally said. His tone was harsh but not mean. Robin laughed.

“And you’re a mature 15? You blew our cover first chance you got” Robin threw back and you massaged your temples. You loved the two of them. They were your best friends but they could get on your nerves.

You looked at Kaldur as they argued. He was the oldest member of the Team at 18 with you following behind at a slightly younger 15. (Still a month and a half older than Wally as you liked to remind him)

M’gann and Superboy didn’t really count. Their experience of their age wasn’t usual.

“Are you gonna step in?” You asked Kaldur and he shook his head.

“Are you?” He asked.

“Maybe to slap them.” You muttered and Bane seemed to find your team’s disorganization funny as he laughed at your squabbling.

“Such clever ninos, but you only know half the story. Let me show you the rest, I can get you into the factory via my secret entrance” He said and you stared him down.

Why would he help you?

“There is a secret entrance but he’s also hiding something” Miss M confirmed.

“It’s not that complicated. The enemy of my enemy is my friend” Bane said.

You all looked between each other and agreed. For now you’d let Bane show you to the factory but as you walked Superboy pulled you aside.

“I don’t trust him. He was talking earlier, I didn’t get all of it but it isn’t good” He said and you nodded.

“Sounds about right. We’re on the same side but only until he has the chance to get his island back” You told him.

Bane led you to a cliff overlooking the factory where you had a good vantage point to see Kobra preparing the Venom for a buyer.

“We need to identify that buyer” Kaldur said.

You kept your eyes on Bane. If he was going to pull something, he would do it now.

He moved a large boulder revealing an entrance to the factory from the cliff through some old mines.

“So now el luchador is our leader” Wally grumbled and you pulled him into the mines by the ear.

“Come on”

“Ow, ow, I’m coming, stop pinching” Wally whined as he followed into the mines.

Bane opened the gate to the factory and after making sure the coast was clear you snuck in. Within seconds Robin was gone and KF ran off trying to find out who the buyer was before him, as if this mission was some kind of competition.

“While Wonder Bird and Mr. Speedy Gonzales have their little contest let’s see what we can find from here” You said and flew up to a higher perch to see the shipment being prepared.

“It’s a massive shipment” Aqualad said.

“Yeah but look, they’re only taking new product off the line. They’re not touching the old stuff” Superboy added.

“Maybe freshness counts?” Miss M asked.

“Or maybe they’re different. Maybe Kobra changed the recipe” You said.

“There’s a helicopter coming” Superboy warned.

“Miss Martian, can you use your camouflage to get closer and see who the buyer is?” Aqualad asked and Miss M nodded, stealthily flying off.

Meanwhile you helped fly Aqualad and Superboy up to a rafter to better stay hidden. You decided to let Bane find his own way up.

“Sportsmaster is the buyer.” Aqualad said after receiving a mental image from M’gann. He immediately tried to reach Red Tornado back at the cave over radio while you tried to reach Robin and Kid Flash to tell them to regroup.

“Ugh, I can’t reach the league. It’s all static” He groaned.

“Robin and KF are blocked too. They probably jammed all radio communication” You said.

“We need a plan, now.” Aquald said.

“I have a suggestion” Bane said and screamed as he jumped down from the rafter.

Both you and Kaldur looked at each other, confused as to his plan until a monster jumped through the window above, taking down the rafter you were all on in an attempt to get to bane.

You caught Aqualad, floating him down safely while Superboy safely landed.

The mammoth of a creature roared and while looking at it you realized this thing had probably been given this new Venom.

You braced for a fight as Superboy tackled Mammoth and you and Aqualad took on the goons, more and more of which were coming.

The ruckus also caught Robin and Kid Flash’s attention, finally bringing them back to the rest of the team as you tried to hold off the Kobra cult.

“I thought you learned not to run off” You told Wally as you kicked a goon who was aiming at him.

“It was fine” He said, brushing it off and quickly taking cover behind a support column. A cover where you quickly joined him in an attempt to avoid the bullets being fired at you by the Kobra cult.

That’s when your most hated sensation returned and you felt someone in your mind. You hadn’t heard Kaldur tell M’gann to psychically link you all.

Your hands flew up to brace your head as you groaned and Wally put a comforting hand on your shoulder. “Hey it’s alright” He told you out loud and after taking a breath the panic subsided.

“We need to regroup” Kaldur said through the link.

“A bit busy now” Robin replied.

“Robin. Now.” Kaldur said and with a groan the boy wonder ran in.

The six of you ran back into the mines. At some point Bane had gotten away but that wasn’t important now.

The metal door didn’t hold for long and you all ran or flew as fast as you could while dodging the bullets being fired at you.

“Superboy the support beams!” Kaldur said and Superboy nodded, punching the nearest beam and collapsing the mine, leaving you cut off from the factory.

With the threat of the cultists gone you all stopped to regroup.

You pulled a small but effective lantern out of your belt that lit the mine blue.

“Ugh, how could my first mission as leader go so wrong?” Robin questioned.

“You do have the most experience but perhaps that is exactly what has left you unprepared. Fighting alongside Batman your roles are defined. You two do not need to talk, but this team is new and a leader must be clear. He cannot vanish and expect others to play parts in an unknown plan” Kaldur said, trying to comfort Robin.

“Oh so I’m supposed to hold everyone’s hand?!” Robin asked.

“Not hold hands but explain. Communicate. This team isn’t a well oiled machine yet. It’s still building” You stopped. You had planned to simply comfort Robin but—

“Maybe we need someone who’s already used to very clear communication.” You said and looked at Kaldur.

Robin followed your line of sight and smiled.

“I agree, I think Kaldur should lead us” He said.

“Please! I can run circles around him!” Wally explained and you turned your eyes to him, raising a questioning brow.

“Come on, you know he’s the one. We all do” Robin said.

M’gann agreed. “Hello Meghan! It’s so obvious”

“Could’ve told ya” Superboy agreed and with that even Wally was convinced.

Kaldur looked between all of you, he walked up to Robin, “If it is unanimous then I accept the burden, until you are ready to lift it from my shoulders” He said, looking down at Robin.

“You were born to lead this team, maybe not now but soon” He told the boy wonder. You had some sarcastic replies to that but they would have to come later. Robin needed this comfort.

“Alright, our first priority is preventing that shipment from leaving this island.” Aqualad announced.

Though Bane tried to stop you, you ultimately made it back to the factory the long way and just in time to stop the shipment.

KF went in first and then Superboy and Aquqalad worked together to take on Mammoth while Robin took on Kobra himself.

Miss M was about to join them when you stopped her.

“Can you place these bombs while camouflaged?” You asked her, holding out a handful of bombs you kept in your utility belt. She nodded.

“Then you go, I’ll hold off sportsmaster” You said and she did as you said.

“Hey Sportsmaster! You’re awfully far from Coast city” You said as you tackled him.

“Well if it isn’t Canary’s little bird” He said as he dodged your attack. You were familiar with Sportsmaster in more ways than he knew and knew his fighting style well. More than well enough to keep him busy and when Miss martian was done to take a hit enough for him to think he could escape.

“Thanks for the workout Birdy but i gotta fly” He said and took off in the helicopter.

You looked at Miss Martian as she uncamouflaged and she smiled.

When Sportsmaster was far enough away you detonated the bombs and watched as his helicopter blew up above the island.

With the Shipment dealt with, the only one left was Kobra. Robin had done well but not nearly well enough. But as he saw his goons gone, his factory ablaze and the shipment of his Venom destroyed he ran, somehow managing to disappear into the shadows of the jungle.

WIth the bad guys beaten and the comfortable breeze of the jungle to calm your nerves you dusted off the dirt and grime that had covered your suit during your fight with Sportmaster.

Robin turned from the forests where Kobra disappeared to look at the team. He smiled and Aqualad.

“We picked the right guy to lead… Automatically making you the right guy to explain this mess to Batman” He said, laughing and you joined him.

“Good luck Kaldur” You told him.

Turns out just because Kaldur had to break the news to Batman doesn’t mean he’ll be the only one reprimanded. Batman bit into all of you pretty hard but what surprised you was the praise that followed.

“No battle plan survives first contact with the enemy. How you adjust to the unforeseen is what determines success and how you choose who leads determines character” He said before dismissing all of you.

“Looks like Batman agrees with our choice of leader” You joked once he left.

“It seems so,” Kaldur agreed, though somewhat sheepishly.

“So what now? We each just go home?” Wally asked.

“Well it’s a fresh morning, how about we all change back to civvies and we can go to a diner. There’s a really great place I know in Star City” You said and with a lot of nodding it was agreed.

joined the 911 fandom few months back and…has it always been this annoying or did something shift recently. someone on twt said maybe mehta coming back doesnt have anything to do w buddie at all and now they are getting cooked for “raining on people’s parade and being a negative nancy for no reason” …. this whole cycle of setting expectations and bullying people for not having the same enthusiasm then getting annoyed that the tv show isnt delivering the same expectation you set is just so annoying??? glad that your blog exists and you exist because this fandom is in heavy NEED of rational minded people 😭🫶🏽

I've been actively involved in fandom since the start of s4 (was a lurker in s3) and from my perspective...things get worse as the seasons continue! In s4, there was *some* hope for canon!Buddie, but Ana came back into the picture and TayKay soon followed so expectations were lowered (because we didn't know how long they'd stick around). Thennn...the shooting happened. Plus the change in guardianship. People were on board again AND we were introduced to even more new fans who couldn't believe "the gay firefighters" weren't together yet. Season five? Eddie breaks up with Ana, Buck breaks up with TayKay..."If Buddie not canon then why did they break up with their girlfriends?" And now season six is about how "all signs point to canon Buddie" no matter what happens. (ie They were convinced Eddie would be a big part of Buck in the coma to hint at feelings and when he wasn't they changed their theories to "explain" why his absence was a good thing; same with the sperm donor arc - all that non-communication was going to pay off once Eddie confronted Buck about a decision he didn't think through and now the lack of 6A content is going unmentioned because Oliver has (twice) emphasized that there's nothing for Buck to come to grips with, he knew what he was doing when he said yes.) I think the fandom just really, really wants to be right about this one thing for two reasons: 1. It would be a game-changer. How many fans of a queer ship can say that they got the endgame they wanted? Furthermore, how many can say their canon ship started out with two straight characters who fell in love over time because a show thought that made the better story? (Not the SPN fandom, that's for sure. They're some of the biggest naysayers you'll find around here because "I've been where you are." Mind you, most us are old af and remember a time when queer ships stayed in fandom spaces because TV shows wouldn't dare take the risk of alienating audiences.) 2. Having Buddie go canon is an opportunity to get back at any and everyone who doesn't believe it'll happen; the ultimate "I told you so!" victory lap.

I do agree with the fandom when it comes to keeping opinions out of other people's inboxes unless they're open to reading it (obviously me :P), but expressing an opinion on your own page (whether that be twitter or tumblr) is what having a social media account in a fandom is for. You don't have to agree with the person. You don't even have to read it. But you can't stop them from feeling how they feel. And quite frankly, while having hope is nice to see (I do, too!), some people could use a reality check. We're not in the writers' room. We don't know what the writing staff is really thinking when they come up with stuff. Even when Kristen makes comments and Oliver gives his perspective, the fandom calls them "liars" or twists their words to fit a narrative that makes for (what they think is) a better outcome. They'll also advise people not to read the articles, but...nobody actually lies in those because they don't give away all that much information, and the information they do give is to tell fandom when things aren't about Buddie, lmao. Kristen said the coma arc was about Bobby and Chim and there fandom was hyping up Eddie's importance only to realize she meant what she said. Oliver says Eddie going after Buck in 6x10 isn't hinting at anything and they're envisioning feelings realizations at Buck's bedside, which never came. They're TELLING fandom to not get its hopes up right now and the speculation has only gone deeper into "this can't be about anything other than Buddie" because everyone is too invested to turn back now.

As for Captain Mehta - I have my own theories about this. Could his presence bring about a mention of the shooting? Yep. Could his presence inspire another conversation? Yep. But *why* him and *why* he finally has a first name? 1. Is everyone at that table supposed to call him Captain Mehta or just Mehta? Nobody knows him on a personal level? 2. Is it possible that throwing some third no-name/relatively unknown firefighter into the scene (along with Capt. Williams and possibly Julie) does nothing to gauge the audience's interest? At least the audience will remember Mehta and there's a connection between him and both halves of Buddie whereas we've seen Julie in limited quantities (and not even as one of their friends off the job) and Miranda Williams was last seen in early s4.

I'm not saying him being back can't be the precursor to important things, but people also thought the Buckleys were coming back after two years so their kids could yell at them some more and they would decline to be with their son in the hospital (why else would they have returned right then, duh!) and we all saw how that turned out. This fandom loves to say "Bestie, you're watching a FOX procedural" on the ~discourse~ days while routinely ignoring the fact that we're watching a FOX procedural. Sometimes what you see really is what you get when the show runners are (currently) pandering to an audience that includes everyone but us.

I'm not sure if you answered this before but how do I know if a donation post is legit because to me they have been all looking the same (no shade to actual people that need donations)

Here's some of the big ones that appear most often & are some tell tale signs of a scam, that should be taken in together (aka, having only one of these things won't automatically mean it's a scam, it should have multiple of these on the checklist).

The blog is new. We're talking like under a week old. Go into their archive, & check for how long their blog has apparently existed. If its been apparently made in like a year or two or under, and/or their blog seems to be somewhat active but their posts are scarce (like say, it says their blog was made in January 2022 but their archive shows like 3 posts every month), then that's suspicious. Blogs that have only been in existence for a few days or a week or two are the most obvious to snuff out, & are most likely scams, but the ones that have seemingly been active for longer could be backtracked & people assume they must be genuine

^their blog is backtracked. What backtracking is, is when you can edit posts on your blog to appear at a certain date that you choose (often older than they actually are), & they'll show up in your archive to the date you edited it to. Scammers do this because people caught onto the fact that most scam blogs were very new & suddenly started asking for money, so now they backtrack to make their blog look older than it actually is so that people will think it's genuine. How you can check is by turning on dash dates for tumblr posting, looking at their reblogs to see what date their rb was posted, & then comparing it to the date the original post was made & what date the person they reblogged from had reblogged it. If the suspected person's reblog is somehow older than the original post was made, its been backtracked. Notes also aren't affected by backtracking, so if they apparently reblogged something last year, then the note for it shouldn't be showing up super recently.

Their blog is very unpersonalized, generic, not very diverse, & almost looks like a bot, even if the blog description may look convincing. Scammers have taken to stealing or copying/mimicking blog descriptions from real users on here to look more genuine, but the rest of their blog almost looks like a bot. What I mean is, if in their description they'll say they like cats or own a cat, then most of their blog will feature posts about cats. Or if they say they're gay, then most of their blog will feature posts about being gay. There's very little diversity in posts or that show a multifaceted personality to the blog, & this is usually because they just went into the tags for whatever persona they're faking for the scam (often to try match up with any info they've stolen or fake stories they've made up for why they allegedly need money ) & reblogged a bunch of posts to make their blog look more genuine. This may also include lack of personal posts that showcase their political opinions, media opinions, fandom interests, personal life (outside of apparently venting for, again, allrgedly why they need money), interactions with other users, etc. Most real users on this site will have varying posts that showcase all of these, but a blog that lacks all this who's main activity is suddenly asking for donations usually means its a scam that was set up to try look genuine

They're fundraising for a pet. Usually a dog or a cat (these are the most common ones, the pet scams are more common than the human ones). Common alleged "illnesses" in these scams are a "blood parasite" or broken bones. Often the proof photos will be very graphic & not tagged for gore etc

If they're not fundraising for a pet, & if it's for a human, usually it's either allegedly very sick children (often babies or toddlers), or the elderly. There's a common scam going around multiple times over a period of time where someone will claim they need money for someone sick, the sick person "dies", THEN they'll say they need money right this second for alleged funeral costs or some other wild claim that either the body will be withheld from them or be dug up if they don't pay the funeral home immediately (neither of which are legal nor standard practice), or something like that

Anon or asks in general, messages, and replies on the post are turned off. If you go into the replies & see the notification that "some replies may be hidden", then it's likely somebody already expressed suspicion of the poster or called them out, & so their reply/reblog was hidden & the op blocked them.

They sent you an ask to reblog their post, but asked you not to answer the ask or to answer it privately. This on its own it's always suspicious, since I've seen genuine users do this as well, but scammers in particular will do this because they like to copy+paste asks multiple times & use the same or similar script for different scams & across different scams blogs. Copy & paste their ask into tumblr search, you might find results where they're already being called out, OR evidence where they used the same ask for a different blog pretending to be a different person for another scam. That's why they ask people to answer privately; because it's harder for people to snuff them out.

Inconsistent information. Look at the info & "proof" photos in the donation post closely & compare them to the others, & the given information. Then go and look at any other posts or "updates" theyve done on the situation. Does it all match up? Are there inconsistencies? Is some evidence theyre allegedly trying to give missing? Is something edited out of the photo that seems like it didn't need to be (like the date of a document cropped off, or someone's face when they're trying to prove its themselves)? Half the time the "proof" photos don't actually prove anything the post claims, & the scammer is betting on people not taking a closer look. Many scam posts are also made hastily & might be copy-pasted from either previous scams or stolen info from genuine fundraisers to look more credible, but will have inconsistent info from being put together so quickly. **

(^in connection to the above as well:) One big one is that they might give "proof" of medical or vet documents, but the name on the document doesn't match with the name on the paypal info, & they might say "we" or "us" to imply theres a second person, but won't say why the person on the document isnt directly recieving the money. Like if they say they're fundraising for their adult sister's medical bills, the names don't match up, & they dont have a reason for why the adult sister isnt fundraising for herself.**

Their paypal name or alleged name is the same or very similar to one of the known scammers on the scammers list. These scammers will use multiple paypals across different scams while pretending to be different people, sometimes impersonating real people who may or may not have done genuine donation posts before. See the blog @kyra45 to look at the named scammers list, & if they used one of the names, it's a scammer.

Under the readmore I'm going to get into detail about inconsistencies & give examples (in blue regarding the **), as well as some other signs that are a bit more minor, but may very well indicate someone is scamming (again, should be taken in with the rest of the above)

** More on inconsistencies: Some common mistakes/inconsistencies are say, fundraising for a male dog but sometimes using she/her pronouns in the same post as using he/him pronouns for it, the people or animals look different in different photos (one scam alleged they were raising for a 1 year old child & then proceeded to show photos of a child that looked 4-5 years old in one photo & like a newborn in another), or they'll say they're fundraising for a dog but give photos of a cat, they'll say they're fundraising because of a house fire but their house photos shows no evidence of fire damage. Another scammer alleged they were homeless & living in a tent, but gave a "proof" photo of an empty landscape with no tent in sight (so it didn't actually prove they were homeless, or that they were living in a tent, or that it was THEIR photo, & the photo could've been taken anywhere). Sometimes the evidence isn't as obvious, like once we determined a scammer was using photos stolen from someone American because the "proof" photos they gave featured the wrong type of electrical outlet (an American one) that wouldn't be available to where they alleged to be located in. Another time I managed to snuff out a scammer because they alleged to be fundraising for a sick child in the hospital & gave photos as "proof", & in the background it featured a phone number of the hospital the people in the photos were located in, & I managed to figure out the photos were stolen because the hospital number was located in the United States, but they claimed they weren't American nor recieving treatment in the U.S, & their paypal used British Pounds. & that's another big one, where they'll say they're from one country but then their paypal currency will be automatically set to a different country.

Some other small indications:

They get defensive when asked for more solid evidence & refuse to provide any. This one can be a little tricky though, since genuine users get accused of scamming all the time, & it'd be understandable if they'd react with annoyance. Take this one in specifically when the proof they provided doesn't actually prove anything and/or it looks like the info may be stolen

Overfamiliarity in asks when asking people to reblog their posts. Things like calling you pet names (like "bestie", "sweetie", "darling", etc) or acting like you're close even if you've never spoken. This is one because its become a trend in scam asks lately

They followed your blog quite suddenly & then asked you to reblog their posts. Scammers do this to keep tabs on people to get them to reblog their scam posts. If you recieve a bunch of followers like this, & they all have a kind of similar way of speaking & meet some or all the other checks above, then it's probably the exact same scammer sending you multiple asks for different scams.

If you donate to them even once (or if you've seen other people experience the following), they'll continually keep coming to your inbox/dms to keep asking you for money, even if you insist you don't have much money to give or can't give anymore. Scammers harass people who have given them money because they hope they can get more out of you.

I personally thought about the Megastar Vs Megasound for AGES once I saw the fic count too. I had the same thoughts as you did, Like soundwave is so loyal it had to of ticked in others mind he had the gay™️?? (And Megasound was the first ship I had of this Fandom so call me bias.)

But thats when I remembered. That Megastar isn't about Megatron, like Megasound is (or atleast Soundwaves devotion is), it's about Starscream.

Its about that high-heeled, sassy, backstabbing (definitely not queercoded) 'bastard' who's the only one confident enough to argue with the leadership.

They certainly are a dynamic duo and a memorable one at that, they certainly have more screentime together as well which doesn't help our cause.

You have activated my desire to analyze! I actually have a theory about this. Oh, and while it's not my favorite ship anymore, MegaSound was actually the first thing I shipped in TF, too! And since I've been a fan for a good amount of time, I think I know what's going on. You know, this might sound weird, but I'm not even sure MegaStar's popularity vs. MegaSound's is about Megatron or Starscream. Maybe at one time it was—like in the earlier days of TF fandom when people would make jokes about things like, "Starscream must have been Megatron's ex and Soundwave's Megatron's new boyfriend" or whatever, but I think it's more about fandom wanting to plug characters into predefined roles they find hot. And I actually think this is the case for all the popular TF ships. Be warned to anyone reading this: this post gets kind of bitter.

Fans want drama and conflict and to pair somebody big and masc with somebody small and femme (and even when Starscream is not small or femme, fans will exaggerate the contrast). And it's a lot easier for people to do this with MegaStar because more and more often it has had some elements of this, like in TFP where Megatron was way bigger than Starscream and would viciously abuse him, and later Starscream decided he literally couldn't survive without Megatron so he came back and became devoted to him and desperate to do anything to please him. It was much more of a Cyclonus and Galvatron dynamic, really, so different from the dynamic in G1. While I thought this was the most stupid and disgusting way this dynamic could be written, it sure is easy for fandom to plug them into those roles they love.

But in more recent years, there was this huge backlash to MegaStar because of this connection with abuse and how that was a big reason it was so popular. So now, if you go on AO3, the most popular Megatron ship is actually MegOp, with over 2k fics, whereas I am certain that back in the fanfiction.net days, MegaStar was more common. And if you look at these MegOp fics, you'll see that despite the fact that I'm 90% sure people jumped onto this ship because they thought enemies-to-lovers would be less problematic… the most popular fics of them all fall into the same patterns. For example, the most popular MegOp fics on AO3 are all explicit TFA fics. But if you know TFA, you'll know it's actually one of the only series where Megatron and Optimus have barely any connection at all (Megatron doesn't even remember Optimus's name until the final episode!) and they really don't have any nemesis tension! It has the least potential for any kind of relationship between them. But what is true about it is that Optimus is much smaller than Megatron. Therefore it's easier for fans to find hot and plug into these same roles again.

And sadly, when you look at some of the most popular MegaSound fics, they are often attempts to plug them into the same roles as well. They'll have Soundwave as this soft, sad, pining guy and Megatron as abusive and negligent, and often the fics are about Megatron ignoring Soundwave's devotion in favor of messing around with characters like Starscream and Optimus again. It's like people wish Soundwave was like Shockwave from the 80's cartoon.

And the problem is, even when MegaSound would have more conflict, like in Earthspark where they feel so divorced, people already ship MegOp for the reasons stated above. So they're going to default back to that anyway. This is why it feels like MegaSound can never win.

My favorite of all the ships that I listed in the post I made is StarShock, the one that comes in at the very bottom of the list. I think talking about it really highlights what I mean. StarShock makes the most sense in G1, since it was basically (presumably unintentionally) made very close to canon in the Marvel comics series which is part of that continuity family. But if you look at AO3, you'll see the specific continuity where there are the most fics of this pairing is... TFP! Why? Well, maybe it's because they were bitter rivals there and Shockwave was really big and looks much more masc compared to that Starscream! Whereas in G1, it would be very difficult to try and put them into the fans' preferred roles, and there are different ships that would be way easier to choose for that purpose. See how it's the same thing again?

And making content that is more in-character takes a lot of effort, I know because I've tried to create art and fics that reflect the characters and it takes work. But fandom is a fun activity that people don't get paid for, so I get why it's easier to do it the way I've described in this post.

I feel like maybe part of what could help this is just making posts and stuff that show moments from canon that could be the basis for shipping. Or just to make posts gushing about how the ship is good. StarShock may be pretty unpopular, but I noticed a lot more nice fanart and stuff being made for it after I made posts on my main blog that were just excerpts from the Marvel comics that looked really romantic. Those posts were spread around and people started to realize/remember the ship was good. I've tried to do this with various other rarepairs too, and I recommend other people try it!

On the one hand he'd feed your kid exclusively fried chicken and soda but on the other he's actually paying attention to them unlike SOME of the people on this list

Scout honestly isn't that fond of kids but for whatever reason they seem to like him. As soon as he realizes that women think it's cute, he'll start actively volunteering to babysit. He is a little confused as to why they think he's the kid's big brother and not their father though...

Soldier

Heavy grew up taking care of his little sisters when his mom was busy so he's got a lot of experience. One of the few mercs that will actually remember to feed the kid. Won't run around and play with them though. He's too afraid that he'll hurt them

Demo

If Demo's sober he's a great babysitter. He keeps them entertained with stories about Scotland and mythical creatures. If they're a little older he might teach them a little bit about chemicals. Unfortunately, drunk Demo can barely take care of himself and you'd have been better off just leaving the kid alone

Okay, I know everyone in the fandom has decided Engie's like the team dad and he's great at cooking and taking care of people but hear me out, okay? Engie reminds me of my grandfather, who'd just crack open a beer and watch his grandkids climb on the roof. Engie insists that he did an excellent job. He watched them, after all. Watched them climb and subsequently fall right out of that tree. He tells you it's good for them. Next time they'll know better, won't they?

Medic

He is actually paying attention to them, which is a good start. Unfortunately, he seems to think medical textbooks make good bedtime stories and that helping out with surgeries is a good activity for kids to do. He taught them some anatomy though... So yay?

Sniper doesn't really like kids but he's not an asshole jesus, he'll do it if you really need him to. At first he doesn't know what to do with them but eventually they get him talking about his life and his experiences in Australia. The kid thinks he's cool as shit and Sniper actually ends up having a better time than he thought he would

Sheepishly volunteers to babysit again. He's not bad at babysitting, but do you really want a man that throws his own piss at people looking after your kid?

Spy

Don't get me wrong, Spy's great with kids. He's actually responsible enough to feed them and keep an eye on them and keep them entertained. However, the kid reminds him of Scout. He manages to keep it together until they're returned to their parents, but immediately after he's retreating to his smoking room. Are you happy? You made him cry

You got any ships that'd have people side eying you?

Uuuuuuh out of any fandom ever? Short answer: yes.

Long answer: it's a little complicated what I would define as a ship for me bc when it comes to ships I actively ship and actually think should kith I have incredibly few. But when it comes to ships where someone else will be like "these two are cute together" and I'll go "yeah I see it" and maybe rt/rb a post about them it's like...almost any ship. Y'all have watched me write hcs for almost every mix and match combination of almost every character in Survive even though I have like,,,two ships from that game. And also what some people consider side eye worthy is different from what I do.

Like,,,for example, I know I've said it before, but I don't think human x digimon ships are inherently weird. I think it varies on a partner-to-partner basis. I've seen a lot of people in gg fandom ship Ruli and Angoramon or Kiyo and Jellymon and...yeah I think that's fine. But no one ships Hiro and Gammamon because that would be weird. And I don't think I really have to explain what the difference there is. But I know for some people it's just a hard no across the board lmao.

Probably the only ship I actively ship rn that people think is weird is, for reasons I will never understand, ThomAya. For those of you not in Genshin fandom they're just a classic cute longtime best friends to lovers ship that some people unironically think is incest because Ayaka told one person one time that Thoma is kind of like a second brother to her. These same people will turn around and ship him with her actual brother tho which...what? Like if you actually think they're related or whatever how would that not, in your eyes, also make him related to her brother I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU PEOPLE. I digress.

OH OH OH NOT TO KEEP GENSHINNING BUT FUN FACT I totally got canceled on twitter for shipping kaether back when it was implied but not explicitly confirmed yet that Aether's an adult so the "Traveler is literally minor-coded" crowd came for my ass. I tragically got blocked by one of my only mutuals who liked Digimon back then over that shit lakfdjak. Like sorry for assuming a character who had "seen the birth and death of stars" but is kinda short was at least 18. I was right though.

I know a lot of my KH ships are side eye worthy because they'll be between characters who have literally never met (i.e. most mix and match combos of the characters who are Nobodies of or replicas of or the embodiment of darkness extracted from the other major characters). Some of them are between characters who, despite literally having entire arcs dedicated to establishing that they are NOT the same person, people will still point at and call self-cest. (i.e. shipping Roxas with Sora or Xion). So again I genuinely don't think they're weird, but I know other people do.

I've seen people say it's weird to ship Pao-Lin and Lara in Tiger & Bunny because of their "age difference." They are 16 and 14. Sue me.

Here's a special segment for things I shipped in middle and high school that no one thought was weird back then but would DEFINITELY get a side eye in 2024.

I was a sebaciel shippper when I was like,,,12. Would I still ship it today? Probably no. But hey it was 2013 and I'm pretty sure the show WANTED you to ship them.

Almost any hetalia ship. I am not even joking, almost every character in that entire show was related somehow or another. It was like 2015. I was not immune to smashing pretty characters together and shouting "now kiss." I also was not doing deep dives into whether or not the immortal personifications of countries were technically related or had age gaps, I'm sorry.

Totally shipped Yoichi and Gekkouin from OnS. I mean my main ship was kimiyoi but multishippping is real. To be honest it was just a classic case of being a teenager and shipping the character I related to with the character I thought was hot. It was not any deeper than that.

TLDR: if any of y'all do now or ever have shipped anything weird, I'm not gonna judge you for it. I literally do not have the right to.

Fandom: Detroit Become Human x Saints Row crossover (with a hint of Fallout) Pairing: RK800 - 60 x Kiki Kravchenko Setting: DBH Post Canon/Saints Row Pre Canon - Boston, 2040 Warnings: none? There is a hint of a sex scene though (non explicit) Summary: Kiki and Sixty keep blurring the line between lovers and friends, but also find a sort of freedom in their little nighttime activities.

I wanted to start getting into the Boston stuff.

It's three in the morning and she's creeping into Sixty's bedroom and climbing into his bed again, her arm draping over his chest while her head finds the space between his shoulder and neck.

At least that's always how it starts.

She comes in, unable to fall asleep and they'll get to talking, mostly just banter at first.

"I'm not on standby, you know. I can hear you." He whispers and chuckles softly when he shifts to accommodate the extra body beside him, just like he has every night that week.

"Guess I need to work on my stealth, then." Once she's comfortable and snuggled up beside him, he counters in jest; drawing Kiki closer to him.

"You know... You're lucky I think you're cute when you think you're being sneaky."

He can't ever seem to get her close enough, even though she's right beside him.

Then comes the kisses. Lingering for far longer than a simple peck goodnight between housemates. Tongues slipping into mouths and hands starting to wander under clothes in search of warmth only furthering their disregard for strictly friendly conventions.

The line can get so blurry sometimes.

It ends with clothes haphazardly tossed aside and wrapped up in the covers with retracted polymer and bare flesh grinding out a slow pace while the kisses they share reveal a much deeper yearning that neither dared explore in the light of day.

Sixty and Kiki cling to each other as promises of forever and declarations of need hidden from the world outside of his bedroom spill out with moans of pleasure.

"I love this." He groans against her lips, their eyes fixed on each other as his thrusts deepen and foreheads are pressed together.

"I love you..." She almost thinks she misheard it but he says it again when he fills her completely and the desperation in his voice, the aching behind it makes Kiki hold him tighter and bury her face in his neck.

Those three little words still feel raw to her as the night draws to a close and the highs of her and Sixty making love fade with sleep and dawn beginning to break through the curtain behind them.

A late night snuggle between friends ends with a deeper bond and sleepy kisses good morning, it ends with Sixty holding her close to him when she whines about five more minutes and his fingertips gently grazing her cheek.

"I should go back to my room." She whispers even though she's letting herself relax completely in his arms and letting him kiss her softly again.

"Or you could stay." He's gently brushing her hair out of her eyes then as they both lay face to face he's wrapping her back around him with the covers while he adds;

"Just stay with me."

It's those first few moments of waking where neither Sixty or Kiki care about the night before and the lines that were crossed, or the rest of the day full of questions that both knew would go unasked and unanswered.

For a fleeting speck in time, both of them can melt into whatever this attachment to each other is without fear of everything outside those four walls that stood in their way.

"We can't just stay here all day, Six." She laughs, even though she's not moving and neither is he.

"Sure we can. We can do whatever we want. And right now... I want this. With you." In fact; instead of moving to get up, Sixty's holding Kiki as close as he can while she's playing with the LED at his temple that's now a calm, static blue.

He can't explain the peace she brings him or the way he constantly finds himself craving it amidst the chaos that's followed him since he left Detroit. All he knows; all he cares to know is that what he and his housemate have in that bedroom is the closest either has felt to being free.

Truly free.

Leaving The Gaylor Community

When I started to listen to Taylor Swift, I was so excited. Her voice and her lyrics were a comfort to me. I would fall asleep to her music, I would do my chores to it, it was my obsession and for a person who usually just simply enjoys things it was new and exciting to be so bewitched by something.

I soon realised that some of her songs didn't make sense to me, and while I was researching on what could she mean by some of her lyrics I stumbled upon gaylor theory, and everything made sense. So much sense that I was speechless. All I could do was read countless posts and watch presentations over and over again, because the analysis of her lyrics was SO GOOD and it made SO MUCH SENSE.

I began to feel this spiritual bond with Taylor, as a closeted queer person. I felt like I knew her, and she knew me, even though we have never met and will never meet, but we understood each other. I didn't feel alone.

And, honestly, I also was invested in the drama and the secrets of it all. We all love to gossip, very human (and sometimes very useful) thing to do, so I wanted to talk about it with someone, I wanted to be up to date with gaylor lore, I wanted to read what people think, so I joined Tumblr. And I was not dissapointed.

The humor, the analysis, the theories - all of it was amazing.

And then the drama with the NYT article happened.

At first I was FUMING. I was so annoyed that I even deleted some of what I wrote because I posted some not so chill takes. It was intense. I was intense.

I calmed down in a day, of course, but the conversation was still going, and going... and I started to become curious about what people were saying. I mean, I knew what I agreed with, but what kind of points are they making against that article? Are they all slightly to moderate homophobic, or are there actual valid takes that I haven't seen yet? I wanted to know.

So, yesterday I watched a video by a queer person who was angry about the article. I've read some comments under that video.

I don't remember any arguments/points, but I saw how triggered people were, it stuck with me and I honestly felt bad. They were hurt, scared, angry, frustrated, they lashed out - I mean, everything I did. I know how that feels.

I fell asleep thinking about it all. Their perspective, my perspective, and the questionable importance of me holding on to something that at the end of the day doesn't change anything in my life.

And the truth is that I don't feel okay being a part of this community anymore when I saw how much pain it was causing to queer people. I can't ignore the truth of their emotional experience. Maybe it causes the same pain to Taylor. I don't know and will never know, but the thought of it haunts me and I feel bad.

Also, I realised that I lost control a little bit and started to become delusional at some point. I actually forgot that I don't know her. I grew too confident about my opinions and I began to view them as facts.

So, I choose to leave. This was a wonderful experience that I'll never forget, I've never been a part of a fandom like that. It was awesome.

I feel awkward right now. A lot of you followed me because I was active in the gaylor community. I don't know what I am going to do with this account.

But I know that I will not be a part of the swiftie fandom at all, starting now. If there's a chance that she's straight (and there is, because at the end of the day we don't know for sure) her behaviour during Lover era was not okay and I don't feel comfortable supporting her in this way.

Anyway, feel free to unfollow me, and I am sorry. I know that this post will upset some people who I like on here, and I hope they'll understand that it's just a decision that makes me feel comfortable and at peace. I don't want you to think that I am trying to make a point, I am just updating and explaining my decision because it felt weird and rude to just disappear.

I strongly believe that we all should always decide for ourselves and do what feels right. Keep doing what you think is right for you, babes, I fully support you.

About S5 (time jump and what needs to be addressed)

Sooo, since I watched vol. 2 I feel so conflicted, I'm not even sure what to think. The amount of questions and unresolved threads that we got in the finale is actually terrifying, especially considering they plan a time jump between seasons 4 and 5.

Now, it was probably said a lot of times, but if the rumors that the action of s5 will take place in autumn 1988 are true, then we need to get at least some episodes still taking place in 1986. WE NEED TO.

I can understand that they want the cast to resemble the ages of the characters more, but it should never happen at the cost of the plot and the characters themselves. With the way they left things in s4, it is impossible for them to start s5 from the time jump and not completely mess up the characters.

Mike and El's relationship needs to be addressed. We got that half assed love confession (that we never got to see El's reaction to) and we were told by Mike himself that El and he don't really talk. Everything points to M!leven break up and El's independence arc, but it's all contextual. They need to address that on screen, before they jump two years. Especially if they plan for Mike and El to still be a couple/develop their relationship anew (which I hope is not the case).

Same goes for Byler. Stuff that Mike did and said this season needs to be addressed on screen, before we skip to "two years later". They can't not address the "I feel like my life started that day we found you in the woods", no matter if Mike's speech was genuine or something he said that he thought El needed to hear, bc it was still an awful thing to say. We got to know that Will already feels like a mistake, they can't leave him with those words from Mike of all people without truly clearing the air between them. This love triangle is already messy enough. Will needs some answers, El needs some answers, Mike needs to at least start facing the reality of what he feels and actually apologize and do better. If they decide to drag it during the time skip, it will be just unnecessarily cruel (especially to El and Will) and will make it incredibly hard to preserve any sort of healthy relationships between the three of them.

And Jonathan and Nancy. They need to address their lies and how they grow apart more and more. They need to start communicating once again or take a break. Two years is too long to make them still be a believable couple, without addressing that first. If it was a shorter time skip then maybe, maybe, I could understand that. But two years? No. Not possible. They would either break up or fix their issues.

This is why I absolutely hate the articles that say how much the time skip makes sense, because they could tie the loose ends during that time. NO. This is literally the definition of bad writing. Nothing as major should ever happen behind the scenes, it is the absolute worst decision any writer can make. If they're so set on making a time jump that big, I hope they'll at least give the characters time to solve their problems/come to some sort of understanding, before the time jump happens. Otherwise we'll end up with half of the main cast making important decisions off screen and feeling completely off due to that.

Just, I swear to God, if these three couples are not addressed right after s4 ends, I will riot, I will scream, I will personally go and find the Duffers and give them such a bad time they'll regret ever being born.

I've never been active in a fandom before, but this show ruined me and not necessarily in a good way.

Hi! Long time liker, occasional reblogger, first time asker piping up to ask what your favorite Rimworld mods are! I just picked it up and am enjoying it so far, minus getting wrecked by rabid squirrels an embarrassing amount...

OH BOY LOL ARE YOU IN FOR A LONG ANSWER

First off: I am someone who takes zero shame in enabling Development Mode, so my subscriptions are big on adding complexity to the game while being able to address things spiraling out of control with a panic button. If you're not into that, I would ramp up slowly with these.

Putting behind a cut, because again: long.

For context, though they're not all currently active, I'm subscribed to 268 mods. ...I am not going to recommend them all.

Here are some favorites I would recommend for starting to round out the game. I'm grouping them up into significant vs. smaller QoL improvements. If you enjoy a mod, I would highly recommend going to your subscription page and checking out that modmaker's full workshop to see what else looks fun. That's how I discovered most of these.

Big Deal Mods

Harmony - a framework mod required by a lot of other mods.

HugsLib - same deal. Use autosort with your mods, and these will get moved up to the top where they need to be.

Humanoid Alien Races - and another framework. Needed for a bunch of new race mods, e.g. if you want Star Wars alien races. (I'm sure someone's made that somewhere.)

Hospitality - you can host visitors from other factions, improve relations, and even convince the visitors to join your faction.

Expanded Prosthetics and Organ Engineering - exactly what it says. A huge new range of options to buy/craft, from very low tech emergency options to very powerful upgrades.

Pawnmorpher - quite possibly the inspiration for Biotech, and in some ways I still prefer parts of it to that gene system. (But I do have a bunch of fun playing with genes.) You can upgrade pawns with fur for their boreal home, or downgrade them all the way into mindless animals.

Ambition of the Cosmic - adds a bunch of high-tech research tiers above and beyond the core game.

Glittertech - adds a bunch of new tech and gear, along with a new faction (commandos) who pose a strong lategame threat. They'll ignore you until you're worth their while.

Misc. Robots - this came well before the Biotech mechanoids, and here, I clearly prefer it. It requires research and materials (or buying from a trader), but you can get mindless hauling and cleaning robots that let your pawns focus on more important tasks. They're available in different tiers for speed/battery life.

Misc. Robots++ - adds the other types of robots (crafting, cooking, etc.). I enjoy setting up a custom starting scenario with one rich, pampered explorer and a bunch of robots.

Prepare Carefully - lets you super-customize your pawns for the starting experience you want. I use this (and the next one) to craft myself a group of pawns from [some fandom] and watch the chaos develop.

Character Editor - I actually use this one a lot more. It's a great way to change the basics of individual pawns at any point, and can also adjust their health conditions. I refuse to let some beloved pets bleed out! (The pawns themselves... whatever.)

More Vanilla Biomes - obviously only applies for newly-generated worlds, but these are some interesting new conditions to deal with. I'm a big fan of grasslands and cloud forests.

Dubs Bad Hygiene - adds hygiene/bladder needs. This will make the early game harder, as your pawns deal with being miserable and filthy. As you are able to take better care of them, you'll instead see them with mood buffs from being nice and clean, enjoying the swimming pool and hot tub, etc. I don't know why, but I love this mod to pieces. Lol.

TD Enhancement Pack - DOWNLOAD THIS ONE, IF NOTHING ELSE. All this shit should be in the base game.

Quality of Life Mods

Metals Trader - adds an orbital trader that's the best place to find certain materials. Not a big deal if you like to play mountain bases, very useful elsewhere.

Smarter Deconstruction and Mining - should avoid your pawns bringing down roofs on top of themselves.

Faction Customizer - yep. What it says. You can easily make other factions your allies or enemies.

Variety Matters - pawns expect a certain level of variety in their diet, based on colony wealth. Like with Hygiene, it'll be more challenging early on but can add buffs later.

Tier 2 Temperature - you can research additional temperature control devices.

Vanilla Plants Expanded - also look at Oscar Potocki's Workshop linked at the top of the page. Vanilla _______ Expanded is a MASSIVE collection he's created, and there's a shitton of neat stuff in there.

Healer Mech Serum Choice - you can pick which condition it's used on.

Stockpile Ranking - I put this as a QoL mod, but honestly, it's pretty core to how I play. You can prioritize different stockpiles, so—for example—I can set medicine to critical inside my infirmary, and rest assured that it'll be placed there instead of over in the general spillover warehouse. (While still allowing myself lots of room to store all of the different types of medicine I have access to with all of my mods.)

Tilled Soil - with effort, your pawns can turn any growable soil into fertile soil.

Prisoner Harvesting - :)

Incident Person Stat - get a feeling for what sort of stranger you're dealing with, so you can avoid admitting a pawn being chased by maneaters only to discover they're a pyromaniac.

Apparel Tainted Only When Corpse Rots - it's so much easier to clothe your pawns in early game with this.

Bad Can Be Good - re-balances some bad traits and gives them tradeoffs.

VGP Vegetable Garden - again, linking for the workshop at the top. Tons of mods for new crops, etc.

Ore Yields - yep. Adjustable.

Tradeable Meals - another way to make money, if you're flush with crops and meat.

Tech Advancing - you can customize when you move up to the next tier (e.g. Industrial -> Spacer).

Smarter Construction - get this one. Your life will be much less frustrating.

RimHUD - a nice redesign of the pawn info window.

Lightning Rod - once you have the resources to spare, storms become much less of a threat.

Replace Stuff - yep. Replace it without dismantling the old one, first. Terrific for situations like, say, upgrading your freezer walls to something non-flammable.

OgreStack - adjust stack sizes for all items. Get this one.

Medical Tab - adds a tab where you can see everyone's medical conditions at a glance. Check this workshop, too; there are other good tabs you can add.

Mad Skills - adjust learning speeds, slow or turn off knowledge decay, etc. Very useful.

Map Designer - you can set specific conditions (e.g., maybe you want a fuckton of ruins, or mountains at a certain angle, or a river so wide that it's nearly impassable). You can also reroll a map to get variations on its core features. Love this mod.

Adjust Quest Chance - there are some quests I hate and will never accept, and others I'd want more of. I can go in and adjust my chances accordingly.

Quick Stockpile Creation - so simple. So nice. The very definition of a QoL mod.

Underground Power Conduits - and finally: NO MORE UGLY WIRES EVERYWHERE.

Okay, as mentioned, this is just a small fraction of my subscriptions, but... I am sure it's more than enough. More. Than. Enough.
