Hi internet, I think every business should keep it bathrooms open until closing, every business should Have bathrooms, and if there is not bathrooms open to the public- there are no "employees/customers only" bathrooms either. (They can have them, but not until the community is taken care of.)
People have stomach problems and bowel issues, people need to throw up sometimes, Toxic Shock Syndrome is a thing and so is a pad used a few hours past what's practical, incontinence is a thing and so is urgency and little kids always need to go NOW and sometimes you also have just been Holding It for too long and you Also need to go NOW. Also also, some people don't even have a home let alone a private bathroom.
Why aren't we being taken care of??
(this post is about being sympathetic to your fellow humans and acknowledging the needs of physically disabled, young, old, and unhoused people.
Do NOT derail to talk about how inconvenient you think drug users are. I can already see the thought crossing people's minds. I do not care. I'm sure they'd rather not be doing drugs in your bathroom as much as you'd rather they didn't.)

Many say want world where no one left behind.
But then make post about how not leave people behind with many words. Small text size. Big words.
Not accessible for everyone. Not everyone able understand text what person saying.
Before try remove harmful systems, everyone need use language everyone understands, or atleast be willing “translate” or make easier. Can’t have change when everyone not understand what trying change how why

As I'm a wheelchair user, and going to meet Ruth Madeley (Shirley Anne Bingham) from Doctor Who at a comic con this weekend, I drew this as a gift for her - I've also printed another to ask her to sign for me to keep. Because I know I'm not the only wheelchair user who is thrilled to see more great representation in the media, I've added it to my redbubble so you can browse to have it printed on a wide variety of merch, including clothing, homewares, mugs, phone cases etc. I'll also be adding some smaller, cheaper stickers to my etsy shop when they arrive, and if you'd like one free with any etsy order you place, just add a note when you place your order! I usually add my Good Omens art stickers to any Good Omens themed order, and my OFMD art stickers to any Our Flag Means Death themed order as a bonus gift, but if you'd like to choose something different just ask! I don't get much from redbubble orders - typically only a couple of pennies for each item, but it's better than nothing. Etsy orders are more helpful to me. ( https://manicuresbykirsty.etsy.com where I do nail polish jewellery including pride flag and pronoun cabochons, fandom themed cabochons in keyrings, badges/pins, bracelets, and pendants for necklaces, mainly Good Omens & OFMD themes but I can do many more and take custom requests so just ask!)

i am once again begging yall to avoid using small fonts and colors with no contrast. i promise that typing in the default font size (ESPECIALLY for large amounts of critical information) isnt going to compromise your aesthetic. also be aware that the colors of your profile are extremely important; i literally cannot read some of your bios/ask boxes because there is no contrast. many users do not have perfect vision.

Parents of autistic children, I'm begging you, stop using yourselfs your children's lanyards. I know kids might not want to use them, and you think its a good alternative for those situations, but it kinda screw things up for adults on the spectrum.
I wear my lanyard when im too exhausted to mask or when im in a place/situation I might need extra help or patience, but the number of times ppl confused me for a parent of an autistic instead of understanding im the autistic person is stupid.
Like, if your child not want to wear it, you can make a little bracelet for them, put it on a button/patche on their clothes, tie on their backpacks and so on...
Just stop wearing them, plsss. My problem will be your kids' problem in a few years, so help them from now on.

Gaming with chronic pain
I love videogames. i am not, however, incredibly good at many videogames due to slow reaction times and my disabilities.
here are some things that accessible (for me) games have, as well as tips to make some games more accessible:
captions. for hearing spoken cues as well as noises and directions. i remember instructions better if i see rather than hear them
mod. those. games. even "cozy" games like Stardew valley have a bunch of controls and modding reduces the amount of clicking (thanks, automate mods), and remembering what you need to do in the game - reducing the cognitive load required. Modded stardew on my laptop is playable in a flare up, which unmodded stardew on my switch just wasn't at all.
interested about if you can play a popular game? Can I Play That has you covered.
Story/easy modes! options to reduce damage, immunity and less penalties for dying are great for both focusing on the story, and just not being able to keep up with controls.
ability to change button mapping, press fewer buttons, simplify controls. the ability to turn off long press commands, and reduce the amount of time you need to hold multiple buttons is *great* (side note: yes, i am mad about the amount of buttons and memory required for Zelda Tears of the kingdom. what about it)
beloved faves (steam links):
-hades. the first hack and slash i can actually play and an excellent low cognitive ability distraction to pain flareups
-animal crossing. goes without saying
-cell to singularity. a free clicker game with an amazing classical soundtrack that is excellent when more than one control is not happening.
-the outer worlds. good plot driven story with a sandbox feel but clear tasks and good accessibility menu.
-sims 4. when i'm in a lot of pain the time management of sims is too much for me, but the endless hours i can waste on character creation are *awesome* and its now free!

I ran into a post that was a bit confusing at first until I realised that op might have been using an accesibility tool to make the post in the first place. So I re-read the post focusing on the whole concept a word might convey rather than just the standard dictionary definition. It did take some effort but the post did make sense and not only that it was a post I agreed with and had experienced similar if not the same things.
Reminded me how difficult it can be to advocate for yourself if you're being dismissed because someone else doesnt understand you.
I took a linguistics class once and got into an argument because there was an example of a person who 'never developed langauge' and they were saying that person was only as intelligent as a todler if I remember right. But thats not something you can prove. They might not have the langauge skills you expect but you cant prove someone is stupid. It feels like pointing at someone who only speaks Mandarin and saying 'that person can't speak english therefore they are an idiot'. The only thing you can really measure is what you understand. So if you can't understand someone who are you to judge them?
When someone's grammar is 'bad' and its hard for you to understand. It was probably hard for them to write too. They're making an effort to comunicate something so the effort you put in to understanding it balances out. And even then the effort you put in to undersranding is in a lot of cases probably still easier than it was for that person to write in the first place.
I think it's important that for those who find it easier to comunicate make sure they are helping someone advocate for themselves and not advocating for them.
