This guy showed up at 10 pity on 50/50 when his banner was running and this gave me an idea for the Sanctuary AU:
Imagine the legacy creatures just randomly showing up in your office while you're working a night shift. They dont do anything like cause mayhem or terror(Kaeya and some of the Harbingers cause mischief at most) but all of them just want to see you. You are in your office filling out paper work and your notice movement in the cages and you later find they're broken open. But instead of some dramatic climax like in horror movies you just see Childe and Dainsleif, standing by your door way, you only seeing their torsos because they dont fit frame and all they do is just.
[Chirp translation] "I got a nightmare can I sleepy with you tonight."
And you agree every time. Not because you feel like you have to, but because what better way to work a graveyard shift then stargazing while being surrounded by abyssmal monsters.
Bonus: You begin to notice that some of the creatures are always finding their way out even if theres no indication of them breaking out. Its then you learn some these guys can teleport... so they'll pop in and out and you never question it.
YESSSS MORE SANCTUARY AU OMNOMNOMN
oh my goodness just imagine seeing all of the Abyssal monsters standing outside looking at you pleadingly- Childe and Dainsleif are there because they get nightmares, Kaeya follows because he knows they're going to go see you, Diluc chases him because he KNOWS Kaeya's going to cause mischief, and Albedo's just curious. anyone else who arrives is either wondering where they're going or thinking "hey, they're going to see my favorite person (you), I deserve to see my favorite person too!!!" so you have several Abyss creatures staring at you and you sigh and just open your arms as you walk out the door so you can hug them as best you can!! you've got paperwork to do, but you can easily do that outside with a candle (you're used to working late nights since you're one of the only people who can get everyone to sleep)
the first one to sneak into your office was Childe, no questions asked. he gets nightmares more than almost anyone (except maybe Dainsleif. Kaeya is a close second) and he's also the closest to your office, so one night when he had a really bad terror he just slipped out of his enclosure and went to find you, working hard during a graveyard shift. you quickly discover that late nights are infinitely better with a purring Legacy on your lap, especially since you can play with his fluff while you read. Childe's permanent spot is your lap, it's no one else's, that is HIS SPOT. he's normally quite friendly but he can and WILL shove anyone off your lap if he wants snuggles
you find out about the teleporting thing when Columbina just APPEARS behind you one day- it scares you half to death and there's no indication that she broke out, and then she just vanishes again with a little pop. MOST of the Abyssal creatures don't abuse this power- except Columbina and Dottore. they use it all the time because they love giving everyone a good scare. honestly, Columbina is pretty relaxed apart from the initial fright, she mostly likes wandering around and humming or dozing in places, but Dottore is an absolute MENACE. you're still trying to figure out some way to get him to stay in his enclosure so everyone can rest a bit easier, but for now you've learned to identify the sound he makes when he appears and disappears (the only time you're fine with any of them suddenly appearing is if they're hurting somehow or had a nightmare, then you comfort them for the rest of the day)

the beautiful sound of your laugh seems to echo in their ears. it’s almost taunting. taunting in the way that you’re always close to them but not in the way they hope. you’re with someone else - someone who makes you far happier and the one that you love so dearly. they would never amount to that.
so they attempt to banish these unwelcome feelings, but they just return even stronger. when you ask them why they look so lugubrious around you, they dismiss it as just being a little bit of fatigue. you - skeptically - leave the matter alone, respecting their wishes to not talk about it. if only you knew.
lingering glances, fleeting touches. those are the only things that happen. and they should be satisfied, no? selfish envy remains in their mind (much to their dismay) and they can’t help but glare at the one who has unwittingly taken their chance.
if only that had been them.

Thinking about ragbros and their direct parallel to the twins. The traveler who is widely considered a hero and spends their days protecting teyvat and their sibling who is leading the abyss who seeks to destroy that. Yeah that's a direct parallel to diluc being the protector of mondstat while kaeya is a descendant of the abyss orders founder. Like. Do you think after the traveler finds out about kaeya and Diluc's past they're just. Absolutely floored by how similar they are? And hoyo wants us to be normal about this???

no but actually. the parallels to other Twins in different nations of teyvat in relation to the traveler and their desire to reunite with their own sibling makes me a little bit bonkers. like.
diluc and kaeya as what the traveler has and fears, after we will be reunited [separation born from conflict that seemingly cannot be mended; they both care for each other but ultimately their opposing ideals mean they cannot be at each other's side in the same way that they used to, and no longer have the close bond they once did]
ei and makoto as what the abyss sibling experienced [a crushing loss not just of one's twin but the last remaining friend they had and the safety and security of their nation, coming out the other side traumatized, cold and jaded and making decisions that will ultimately hurt the people they claim to want to protect for the sake of an unattainable goal]
and lyney and lynette as what the traveler and the abyss twin used to have before they were separated [never apart for long, home is wherever we are together], what the traveler wants [their separation brief and quickly amended, continuing to be inseparable after they reunite], and also the choice they'll have to make [the twins being together in an organization the traveler inherently doesn't trust - does the traveler want to be by their sibling's side badly enough to throw their lot in with the abyss, and turn their back on everyone else they've met on their journey so far?]
#personal stuff#thorn plays genshin#RIPS AND TEARS.#hi . feeling so normal btw#i was thinking so so so so hard about the traveler twins when ei's second story quest dropped#and i am constantly sick in the head about the traveler being tired of the ragbros nonsense communication#and THEN in fontaine the traveler having to watch these two twins who are incredibly close.#and try not to think about what they've lost#i'm. uuaauguugh#LIKE#the traveler and the abyss twin really are what the fontaine twins could be if either of them lost the other.#at the end of his story quest lyney talks about how both of them give each other strength to get through the darkest days#and how darkness never consumes him because he has his sister and they remember the good things together [punches the ground]#also lyney and lynette losing their trust in people early on and having to lie to everyone around them#and getting the companionship that kaeya never got in his childhood. cries#like he had his twin!!! he had his brother!!! but he had to lie to him for years and never felt truly understood until that night#and AUUUGH the running theme of one twin being Light and the other being Dark#one always brightly engaging with people while the other deals with matters from the shadows#and the brothers flipping that on its head when diluc returns to mondstadt - diluc in the shadows and kaeya with the knights#and ei getting someone who will be her shadow so she can finally step into the light herself and see the world with her own eyes.#just AUUGUUGHGH. i'm fine. i'm normal#this is incoherent maybe but augh. augh. siblings.#[looking back at the earth] wait the game is about family? always has been

I love the “found family” trope as much as anyone (which is a lot) but no other trope breaks my heart as much as “lost family”. Characters who grew up together and who loved each other as family are separated by x or y reasons and the universe can’t seem to let them reunite. They both think the other one has forgotten about them/ hates them and they want to go back to how they were but it seems impossible to them. It’s so heartbreaking and genuinely makes me cry uncontrollably.

Im honor of spooky month, just imagine childe finally able to be out and about bc people will think its just a really high quality costume. Children will smile and scream playfully and childe will just play along! The other abyssmal monsters also come out to play!
...now where did your candy basket go- KAEYA GET BACK HERE THATS NOT YOUR CANDY!!
HAPPY SPOOKY MONTH MY DEAR THIS IS SO CUTE <333
Childe would be so happy to be able to walk around town!!! even more so that people aren't afraid of him!! if they do scream, it's all in good fun, and you can see how much fun he's having from how he chirps and trills in delight when children run around his feet. Childe also just can't let go of you- you're in his arms at all times when walking around, mostly because he doesn't get to look around the city with you that often!! but also because he is still wary about being around so many people, so he wants to hold onto you just in case something goes wrong <33 sometimes leaves will float into his hair and fluff and you're in the perfect position to brush them off!! you show him the ones you think are the prettiest and he playfully nips at them (a few times he actually DOES bite into them and yelps in surprise!!!)
*rubs my hands together* oh the other Abyss creatures GOODNESS- the most trustworthy apart from Childe is Albedo, hands down. he's calm and collected and knows to stick close to you, plus he doesn't mind children fawning over his cool scales and wings!!! Diluc is... he's a bit jumpy, in all honesty- he trusts people the least out of everyone and being surrounded by so many, even if they're well meaning, can be quite nerve-wracking!! but he'd LOVE some quieter moments just admiring the ambience and atmosphere of the season. Kaeya is most definitely a mischievous little monster who steals sweets from you!!!! you've banned him from stealing stuff from anyone else because that's rude but you weren't on that list so there's many times that you find the treat you were waiting to enjoy mysteriously missing. you're never super upset or anything, but if you WERE Kaeya would immediately apologize and treat you to extra snuggles- he's a bit smug and mischievous but he still doesn't like seeing you unhappy!! (and the snuggles definitely turn into a pile of Abyss monsters with you in the middle)
and if we're including the Harbingers in this, there can and WILL be chaos. some of them (just Pierro and Pulcinella honestly) are trying to keep order, some are just napping or sitting beside you (Sandrone, Signora, Pantalone, Capitano, Arlecchino) and the remaining few are making an attempt to set the city on fire (Columbina, Dottore, Scaramouche)

Key there I would like to become your first anon if you’d like
And here is my request
Crepus being reincarnated in our world and adoption the reader as his child and since the reader doesn’t have a good relationship with their father they see him as a real dad and the both of them get issekaied into Genshin and diluc and kaeya get their dad back with a god sibling
To Warm Your Hands, To Warm Your Heart
Quite the request you've got there! I've been writing and brainstorming it in-between my daily stuffs :)
Platonic!Crepus, Diluc, and Kaeya x Creator!Reader
Crepus, for his many self-admitted flaws, was still a kind man.
Crepus was sure he did his best for his sons, or as best he could. He ran the winery and the tavern to the best of his abilities. Still, he had regrets.
Never being awarded a vision, never becoming a knight, never getting to see either of his sons marry.
But, in one moment he was thinking over his regrets whilst bleeding out in Diluc’s arms and the next he was… fine? With a blinding flash of white light, he wasn’t in his son’s arms anymore. He was standing, perfectly fine, in an unfamiliar home, not in Mond anymore, that’s for certain.
Over a few days, he managed to piece together his new identity. Owner of an up-and-coming bar, still Crepus, but no longer a proud Ragnvindr. Whoever he was now, he had to find a way home. If he still lived, he would find a way home.
Should Barbatos will it.
No longer in Teyvat, the world lacked color like his home. Everything just that much duller, not lifeless, simply not as bright. Technology advanced far past what had been available to him at home. Crepus began to notice how much of his life in Teyvat was starting to grow fuzzy in his memory.
But that stopped when he met a new regular customer. A father and his child.
Every day the man would sit his child at the bar, order them a glass of water, and then disappear deeper into the bar while his child sat there uncomfortably and did their homework.
Drunkards. Crepus couldn’t imagine doing such a thing to either of his sons.
Crepus frowned. The child was Diluc’s age, or at least they would have been if it hadn’t been so long since Crepus last saw his son. They sat alone and uncomfortable at the bar every day until their father, drunk out of his mind, would retrieve them and bring them home. Crepus always prayed for their safety.
They spoke few words other than the meek “Thank you”s when Crepus refilled their water or offered them a snack. But slowly they began to grow accustomed to his presence.
And once they did, they spoke excitedly to Crepus, who always seemed to be listening with a fond smile. He offered them advice, and began to offer more non-alcoholic beverages simply to let them have more options than water and soda.
When it grew cold, Crepus offered them hot chocolate, even bought them some nice mittens to wear to school, which he noticed would always be on their hands when they walked in with their father.
Their father had no clue what he was missing. His child was brilliant, and here they were, closer with the owner of the local bar than with their own father.
Once they graduated from high school, they quickly got a job (before Crepus even had the chance to offer them one! He was so proud), and renounced their father who hadn’t raised them. They confided that Crepus was a better father anyway.
From that moment they were his child. No ifs, ands. or buts. Not that they complained when Crepus asked if he could refer to them as his child. They often accidentally referred to him as their dad anyway, so this just made it easier.
You and Crepus kept in close contact. Though you had no physical need for his parental help, you couldn’t complain when every day before Crepus started his shift, he texted you to ask about your day. Or when he made the worst dad jokes you’d ever heard. It was comforting given that your father by blood was one of the least caring people you’d ever met.
One day, you sent Crepus a screenshot from the game “Genshin Impact.”
His breath caught in his throat, tears filling his vision. That was Kaeya. Older for sure, but Kaeya, his son, his baby.
He started playing, needing more answers. That was Teyvat, that was his home and he couldn’t get there. How many people were playing this now? How many people were looking in on the lives of the people of Mond? Of Liyue? How many people were looking in on the lives of his sons?
You often bragged about your dad playing the game, though he didn’t play often.
One morning, when you awoke, it was to the rolling fields of Mond. Your father standing next to you, bewildered. He led you, ecstatic you, to Mondstadt. Everyone who was out and about was terribly confused.
That’s… that’s late Master Crepus… and The Creator??? Their Excellency looked ever so pleased to be there, but Crepus only seemed concerned…
Crepus realizes now that you were familiar. All this time, the kid abandoned by their blood father had been his God. And Crepus had just… adopted you???? It was turning out to be a very stressful and confusing day for poor Crepus.
People staring at you in awe was really weird, but you were excited, if not feeling a little shy now. But you felt safe with your dad. This was an excellent dream, you were so excited you could just burst.
Until you realized that your dad’s hair had changed from a bright ginger to a blazing red… And now someone had pushed Diluc to the front of the crowd… and there was another voice shouting for someone to “find Sir Kaeya.”
Diluc hesitated. The Ley Lines held memories, they could simply have leaked but… that was The Creator…
Diluc stepped forward, taller than his father, broader than before, a tired, haunted shadow to his expression. Suddenly weak…
“Dad?”
Diluc’s voice trembled with emotion, and was barely above a whisper. Crepus just brought his son into a hug as you stood by awkwardly. Before you had just laughed at the coincidence that your dad and Diluc’s had shared a name, an odd one at that but….
Before you could ponder too long, Diluc was on his knees at your feet, one of your hands held is his. He was trembling, and the sight of such a powerful person seeming so… fragile… it made you shiver a bit. Diluc’s shoulders were shaking in barely contained sobs.
“Thank you, Your Grace. I.. I don’t know what I’ve… what we've done to deserve this, but-”
Crepus cut off his son with a hearty laugh.
“You’re just lucky you never made them lose a 50/50! That would have been some divine retribution!”
Diluc looked absolutely puzzled as you and Crepus laughed. His cheeks tinged with red as he was clearly not in on the joke. Not only did the statement confuse him, but how casually Crepus referred to you. Before his death, Crepus has been very pious, he never would have been so bold as to clasp a hand on your shoulder as you pulled your hand away from Diluc…
What exactly happened between you two?
Diluc is far less chill about the “God is my little sibling” thing than Kaeya is
Once he stops being very stiff and reverent around you, he starts doting on you
First of all, you are still his god, and then you’re his youngest sibling so, no, you don’t get to complain about the expensive things he keeps giving you
Kaeya also spoils you, however he prefers bringing you out to explore Mond as his gifts
Which is why he is no longer allowed to be your bodyguard, despite being one of your first vessels
But no matter what, you never leave Mond without one or both of your brothers
They might not be able to repair their relationship, maybe not fully, but they both love you and want to be there to protect you
Diluc and Kaeya both have to admit that you’re more important to them than their… we’ll call it a squabble
Both are very affectionate with you
Many hugs are had
Although, if you need someone to talk to, you’re better off going to Crepus
Even though all three of them are very busy, Crepus is the only one who really listens, and also the only person who can really empathize with you about missing your home
But Diluc is also a pretty alright listener
Kaeya is just good at guessing what’s wrong lmao
All-in-All excellent brothers to you :)

Okay. Hear me out.
Ragnvindr Bros Reconciliation™️, but it's a Coraline AU
Listen. Listen.
Kaeya as Coraline
Diluc in the role of Mother/Other Mother
Jean in Father/Other Father's role
I was torn between Venti as the Cat or as Wybie because I could see it going either way. And I suppose you could technically take the book's plot where Wybie wasn't a character.
But I kind of like Venti as the Cat
Which would allow you to put Bennett in Wybie's role. Bennett's bad luck and Kaeya's being a mentor to him would be the dynamic to explore here.
Then there's the rest of the cast and characters that with a little bit of tweaking could further support the story.
And obviously the reasoning behind it all happening would probably be something like a Leyline mishap or Abyssal tampering.

Kaeya's story would have a pretty big plothole if he's telling the truth (Or in other words why Kaeya is probably lying his ass off) An analysis.
Major spoilers for caribert and Kaeya's character story.
Addendum : This is mostly for fun and to explore Kaeya's character and interactions, I'm not God, I can be wrong about things.
Important things are marked in orange and specific commentary on some elements of text is marked in purple.
Also while I do believe Kaeya is lying in Caribert and is generally an unreliable narrator, if you believe otherwise and can still make sense of his story please tell me, I would like to know other points of view or things I might have missed.
It is first said in Kaeya's vision story, he fought with diluc the day his father died. The reason why is quite simple, he told Diluc he was an agent (or pawn, depending on the nuance of the translation) planted by Khaenri'ah to serve their interests (and by the wording of the text, he had an idea of what the "ancient plot" meant). He comes clean and then fights Diluc as "his true self".
There was a side to Kaeya that he kept hidden from the world: In truth, he was an agent of Khaenri'ah, placed in Mondstadt to serve their interests. His father had abandoned him in this strange and unknown land to fulfill this mission, and it was Master Crepus and the city of Mondstadt that had welcomed him with open arms when they found him.
If Khaenri'ah and Mondstadt went to war, which side should he support? To whom should he offer his assistance: his birth father, who had ruthlessly abandoned him? Or his adoptive father, who had loved him and raised him?-
Quite a dramatic thought, makes it sound as if his mission will inevitably end in a war between the both of them, partly backed by Mona's voiceline
As a brother, he should have shared in Diluc's grief, and yet as their father lay dying on the ground, he had hung back behind his brother, that ancient plot running through his mind.
The use of that ancient plot instead of the ancient plot, or an ancient plot. makes it sound as if there are multiple ancient plots he is aware about, perhaps not the actual intended meaning but it's a fun thought, like how many ancient plots is Khaenri'ah directly involved in??? (probably a lot)
Consumed by guilt, Kaeya knocked on Diluc's door. As the rain poured down, the shroud of secrecy was washed away and all lies were revealed. Kaeya had finally come clean.
This is all fine and makes sense, Diluc feels betrayed and out of anger and residual sadness from his father's death, and strikes against someone he considered a brother, this causes a big rift between them and is a focal point in their relationship. Let's see how this character story is contradicted by the Caribert story quest, probably on purpose.
In Caribert Kaeya claims his father sent him to mondstadt to perhaps find happiness.
Kaeya: My life had less and less to do with Khaenri'ah as I grew up, and so I started caring less as well.
Kaeya: I used to believe that I had inherited some sort of duty from my father..
Kaeya: But then I began to wonder... Maybe my father left me in the peaceful land of Mondstadt for no other reason than simply to give me a happier life...
Then he didn't ruthlessly abandon him or send him to mondstadt to fulfill Khaenri'ah's goals, which contradicts everything previously established.
Kaeya: A happy life sounds good to me, of course. Even if it means being cut off from... certain things.
He sounds unsure, it's unclear If he wants to be cut off or not from those certain things, but what is he talking about?, If he doesn't know about the Alberich's involvement in the abyss order then what is he being cut off of according to him?.
It is implied Kaeya is just sugar-coating things, partly out of denial, partly out of a need to not reveal all his cards to the traveller, so I'm not going too in-depth with this section individually, as I believe it to be a clear cut lie in story.
And then the conversation with Dainsleif happens, and things get even messier.
Dainsleif: Tell me... what do you know about the significance of that name, "Alberich"?
Kaeya: Ah, you've decided to join us? I was wondering how long you planned on listening in. I believe I've seen you before in Mondstadt... Dainsleif, if I'm not mistaken?
Nice deflection buddy, almost as if he knows that If Dainsleif continues with that line of thought then some uncomfortable things will be revealed
Dainsleif: So you remember me (was he in Mondstadt to stalk Kaeya?). Then we are already acquainted, Kaeya Alberich... descendant of the Abyss Order's founder.
This means two things, first while the abyss is older than Khaenri'ah, the abyss order is a direct product of it, the sinners that are all that's left of Khaenri'ah according to Kaeya?
Kaeya: ...
Traveller: The Abyss Order...?
Paimon: What!?
Dainsleif: I take it that you weren't aware of this until now, Kaeya, or you wouldn't have been so forthcoming with your surname.
This is the part that always fucks me up, it makes a point for Kaeya being unaware of the implications of his surname, but also if Kaeya is telling the truth about not knowing anything about his father's motivation or goals for leaving him in Mondstadt, then what is his character story talking about, what the hell did he tell Diluc.
Do the character stories have information the character in story doesn't?, who's narrating the stories then?, Are they impartial?, are those kaeya's thoughts about his father's motivation?, Because that also contradicts what he says in Caribert. Or did he think his father was just working for Khaenri'ah which in his mind was a completely different thing from the Abyss order???, Then why did he have suspicious information explicitly from the abyss order like the title of the leader?, Which no other character apart from Dainsleif has (who would obviously know that)
I generally just take this as Dainsleif taunting Kaeya and trying to make him fall into a trap, because it makes the most sense.
Kaeya: Oh, my... that's quite a lot of baggage for a surname, isn't it? Though I must say, it does confirm an old suspicion of mine. I suppose that was why my father left me in Mondstadt after all... (How does that confirm anything, How does it improve your understanding of the ancient plot your father sent you to fulfill, in text it is said he was aware of the mission and was an agent or pawn, you already knew why your father left you)
Dainsleif: I'm surprised that you take me at my word without the faintest hint of skepticism... (Aka why are you lying you obviously knew this)
Kaeya: Well, perhaps what you told me just happens to answer some questions I carry in my memories. And, in any case... I recognize your eyes...(nice change of topic)
Okay the nicest interpretation I can give is maybe he knew his father was part of the abyss order but not that he was the descendant of the creator of the abyss order, but then what is the ancient plot he was sent to complete and why him?
Kaeya: You're a pure-blood Khaenri'ahn, aren't you?
I'm not even going to get into the, is Kaeya a full blooded Khaenriahn? thing or not because frankly I lack the information of the traits of a full blooded Khaenriahn. And in the best case scenario it just gives extra information on his mission.
Dainsleif: Very clever. (Thanks Dainsleif for actually being concise, even if you are most definitely hiding shit as well) Forgive me for being direct, but I sincerely hope this new knowledge doesn't change anything. If you've already let go of your ties to the past... then keep it that way.
This is just a barely hidden threat, if it's a don't get involved threat or keeping up the charade and clearly stating you are against the abyss order threat, is left up to interpretation
Paimon: Kaeya... You're not involved with the Abyss Order in any way, are you...?
Kaeya: Hey, hold on now. This conversation has taken a rather sudden turn for the deadly serious... and I'm afraid that as someone from Mondstadt, I'm not accustomed to this sort of atmosphere...
Deflection again, and identifies himself as someone from Mondstadt which in this conversation is also a double way of saying, I'm not a threat.
Kaeya: So what if I know my ancestry? Do I strike you as the type who would be bound by that kind of thing?
He changes his position again, "well even If I knew I wouldn't do anything for the Abyss order", which is weird because even by the kindest of interpretations he is terribly conflicted (Mona's voiceline, His character story, the fact this conversation is taking place to begin with)
Kaeya: Relax. I'll be just as delighted to hunt down the Abyss Order tomorrow as I have always been.
And how delighted are you, really?, And does this really make no change to you, almost as if you already took this into account?.
Traveler option 1: I trust you, Kaeya.
Traveler option 2:I think... I guess.
The real problem with the Idea that Kaeya is fully genuine about having no connections to Khaenri'ah or knowing about the Abyss order is that apart of all his info from his character story being wrong or unexplainable apart from the excuse of, well he had absolutely 0 context about anything , which would be strange especially for a character as Kaeya known for always having the upper hand info-wise. But that his fight with Diluc would make no sense. What did he tell Diluc?, That he was from Khaenri'ah and his father left him in Mondstadt to try to maybe make sure his son has a happy life far from the stress of Khaenri'ah (Stress like a mission or an ancient plot)?, How would that be a betrayal of any type, and how would that revelation show a hidden part of his true self?. If Kaeya knows nothing about this, then the emotional core of his story is ruined, because he would have never been conflicted when Crepus died, He would have no reason to be loyal to Khaenri'ah or the abyss order apart from his father being from Khaenri'ah, a father which abandoned him ruthlessly (or maybe not, who knows), The sinner's are all that's left of Khaenri'ah voiceline would just be meanspirited for no reason (because if those sinners were working for the abyss order, then it would make sense that he were critical of them), and His fight with Diluc would make no sense.
So in accordance to this, I believe Kaeya is lying about not being aware of the implications of his surname and the reason he was sent to mondstadt.
Thanks for reading if you have made it this far, and correct me if I'm wrong about something.
