“Ah, this place is just like I remember it!” Rin dropped his duffel bag on the tatami mat next to the door and stretched his arms into the air, sighing.
Rin had to return to Japan for Gou’s high school graduation and decided to take this opportunity to bring you to his home country for a little getaway, complete with introducing you to his family and friends. Hence the immediate reservation made at Anago Hot Springs three days before Gou’s graduation to spend some romantic alone time with you before subjecting you to the chaos that was Iwatobi.
“Oh, have you been here before?” You asked, kicking the door shut behind you and dropping your bag next to his. Rin hummed in confirmation and approached you, taking your hand and leading you to the big glass window that completed one of the walls of your room. He positioned you in front of him and secured his arms around your waist, resting his chin in between your neck and shoulder and gazing out at the view of the shoreline that the window offered.
“Yeah, but this time is gonna be different.” You could hear the lilt in his voice and turned your neck to look at his face. The smirk that you expected to be there was flourishing on his face and his fingers started to rub circles into your hips.
“Why is that?”
“Because I’m here with you.” He placed a chaste kiss to your jawline before releasing you. “Let’s go into town, I’m starving!”
Rin held your hand as you two walked through town, stopping at various food and activity stalls to sample snacks and challenge each other to multiple games. Once you had both had your fill, Rin opted to walk with you along the shore, still holding your hand.
“I missed the beaches here so much.” He smiled, looking out over the water simmering under the moonlight. You cocked an eyebrow at him.
“We have beaches in Sydney, babe. We literally live five minutes from one of the biggest tourist beaches in Australia.”
“Yeah, but…something about the beaches in Japan is different.” Rin stops walking to fully face the water, prompting you to stand beside him and acknowledge the water as well. The water was a deep blue, that somehow glowed even in the darkness, and the lull of the waves along the shoreline seemed to have a gentle calm to it. You could immediately understand what he meant once you stopped to regard it the way that he did. “Maybe it’s because I always came to the beach when I needed to clear my head.” He smiled softly and started to scrape at the sand with his toe. “Or maybe it’s because it’s the last place my dad ever saw. Makes me feel close to him.”
You turned your head to see Rin still smiling down at the sand, no doubt thinking about his late father who had drowned at sea while working an honest job to provide for his little family. You squeezed his hand. “Is that why you swim?” You asked slowly, trying to make Rin feel safe enough to talk about his feelings. He was probably feeling a multitude of emotions since coming back to Japan after two long years of being away. He was probably being reminded of all the feelings he felt during his time here. He was probably feeling the closest he’d felt to his dad in a long time.
“At first, I wanted to train hard so I could carry out the dream that my dad never got to see through.” Rin chuckled gently and lifted his head to look out across the ocean again. “But after meeting Haru, Makoto, Sousuke, and the others, I started to swim for myself. I trained hard so that I could swim with them.” Rin let go of your hand momentarily to kneel down and brush his fingertips across the waves. “I wonder if you’ll like them.” He straightened up and dried his hand on his pants before grabbing your waist.
“I’ve met Haru.” You smiled fondly at the memory of the black haired, blue eyed man staying in your apartment when he came to visit Rin last winter. You had never seen two humans bicker more than Rin and Haru, but you could see the years of friendship between them with just a glance.
Haru took to you immediately upon seeing you interact with Rin. Mainly the way you liked to tease him and make him blush. Haru knew Rin was in good hands with you in Australia. He knew of the loneliness Rin experienced during his first time living in Australia, and was glad to see he didn’t have to worry about that this time around.
“Yeah, you guys are just two peas in a pod. Arguing with me about every single damn thing.” Rin shook his head and squeezed your hip, causing you to giggle.
“Tell me about the others.”
“Well, Sousuke, you’ve met him on facetime. There’s not really much more to him than the stubborn, responsible guy you’ve spoken with. He’s probably kept me the most grounded out of any of my friends, but he’s a pain sometimes, the bastard.”
You remember meeting Sousuke one evening when you had arrived home and found Rin laughing and chatting with him over facetime. Rin immediately took the opportunity to introduce you two and the first thing you did was take note of how handsome Sousuke was. This lead to a string of teasing on your part, petty jealousy on Rin’s part, and more teasing on Sousuke’s part. The next time Sousuke happened to be facetiming Rin, Rin made it his life’s mission to keep you away, as if you were going to fall in love with Sousuke just upon seeing his face again. But over time, Rin got over his petty jealousy and allowed you to befriend his best friend. Now, Sousuke was someone you kept in touch with—mainly to gossip about Rin.
Rin went on to talk about Makoto, Nagisa, Momotarou, and Nitori, reminiscing about all the fun times they had together before he left for Australia. Rin talked about his high school days for the duration of the walk back to your inn.
He chatted with you about all the things he wanted to show you once you were back in his hometown while you slipped out of your street clothes and into the robes that the onsen provided.
“I’m gonna take a dip in the hot springs before bed. What are you gonna do?” You asked, securing the belt of the robe around your waist. Rin grinned and did the same.
“I’m gonna join you.”
“Rin, you know very well they are not co-ed pools.” You narrowed your eyes at him as he followed you into the hall after locking your room door.
“Awe, c’mon, it’s late. There’s probably not gonna be anyone around!” Rin pleaded with you all the way to the entrance of the hot springs. You stopped in front of the women’s entrance and smirked at him.
“If I didn’t know you any better I would think you’re just trying to see me wet and naked.” You ran your fingers up along the collar of his robe, lingering to wrap your fingers around the fabric and pull Rin close to you.
“I’m just trying to spend time with my beautiful girlfriend.” Rin said innocently. He leaned in and let the tip of his nose brush against yours. “Getting to see you wet and naked is always a perk, though.”
You placed a chaste kiss to his lips before letting go of him and pushing open the door to the women’s entrance. “You’ll survive, honey. Try not to pass out from the heat!” You waved at Rin before disappearing behind the door, leaving him speechless, hot, and bothered.
You made quick work of slipping out of your robe and slippers, stashing them away in a cubby, and rinsing yourself off before sliding into the warm water. You let out a content sigh, somewhat relieved that you were the only one in the pool and allowing yourself to feel the stress of the long day of travel evaporate from your body with the steam.
You were about to doze off when the door to the entrance opened and you heard the sequential splash of someone rinsing themselves off. Before you could turn around to politely greet whoever it was that would join you, a figure flashed across your field of vision and dove into the pool.
A creeping suspicion crawled its way up your chest as you shielded your face from being splashed with the steamy water. You lowered your arm just in time to catch a glimpse of a wet mess of maroon locks as Rin swam up to you, stopping only to rest his arms on your thighs and float in front of where you were sitting against the rim of the pool. A smirk was plastered across his lips.
“If you think you can get rid of me that easily, think again, baby.” Rin grinned at you and pushed himself out of the water to start nibbling on your neck, sneaking one of his hands to fit in between your thighs and push them apart.
“Matsuoka Rin, we are in public!” You scolded, pushing his hands away from in between your thighs. He just smirked at you and pressed his bare chest against yours.
“Eh…public private.” He drew out the last word in emphasis, completing his point by looking around the empty pool before turning back to you with a mischievous grin. You let him push your thighs apart again before sinking into his touch with a sigh as he ghosted his fingers over your clit.
You moaned and let your head fall forward onto Rin’s shoulder as he continued his ministrations on your neck and in between your thighs. He cupped your cheek with his other hand and brought your head up to meet your eyes before pressing his lips to yours. The kiss was soft and sweet, he moved his lips against yours in sync with each stroke of his fingers against your clit. He successfully managed to pry your lips apart with his tongue at the same time he plunged two fingers inside of you, making you gasp into his mouth. Your sounds were almost too much for Rin to bear.
“C’mere.” He growled, quickly taking your place against the rim of the pool and grabbing your hips to have you grind your ass against his cock. He bucked his hips against you and sank his teeth into your shoulder as he continued to hump you under the water, feeling as though he might pass out from the steamy pool and the excitement of having his lover there with him.
Without any notice, Rin gently lifted you from his lap and pulled himself out of the pool before turning around to offer you his hand. “Now, let’s continue this in the room or I will pass out from all this heat.” You blushed when you noticed he was still completely hard and wondered how he was going to walk back to your room like that. You took his hand and let yourself be pulled up and out of the pool.
“I will never understand why you suggested a hot spring when you know you get dizzy from the heat.” You chuckled as you slipped back into your robe, not bothering to tie it properly as you knew it would be dragged off once you set foot in the room.
“The heat from you and the pool, babe. You and the pool.”

︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
It was the summer of 2018, a time where Y/n found herself on holiday with some of her friends from high school, granted they weren’t as close before but Y/n couldn’t find it in her heart to say no. Thing is though, a group of guys were coming with them. Stephanie's older brother and his friends, which only made Y/n's social battery already start to sputter.
Arriving at their beach resort on Hawaii, the group of girls and guys got all their luggage, hotel room keys and headed to get settled in. Y/n carried in her small suitcase for the 7 day vacation, the smell of the salt water nearby already heightening her sense in a good way, she always loved being close to nature.
“Ya need any help?” She heard a deep Bostonian accent ask, looking up to see one of the guys on the trip with them, Chris Evans.
Before Y/n could even reply Grace had already spoken for her, “Nah don’t bother with her Chris, she won’t speak to you, that girl’s basically mute”
‘Here it all starts’ Y/n thought to herself, deciding to ignore them all and head on up to her room, if we was going to be on holiday then she was going to enjoy herself.
Her room was beautifully decorated, flower petals all over the place, courtesy of the hotel staff. Y/n has begun unpacking her phone buzzed,
Vacray GC 2022!!
Stephanie: Ok yall meet at 7pm for the dinner downstairs? Until then do what your heart desires :)
Everyone had replied with ‘okays’ so throwing her phone, Y/n got out the tiny notebook she brought with her, there she had written down all the things she wanted to do in Hawaii. Things the others didn’t want to do.
1. Snorkelling
With her bathing suit already on under her tshirt and shorts, all she had to do was gather her valuables and off Y/n went.
(Y/n’s P.O.V)
Closing my hotel room behind me, I bumped into one solid mass, only to hear it grunt right back at me.
“Y/n right?” Rubbing my forehead I looked up to see Chris from earlier, a charming smile on his face, a backwards cap pulling his hair back.
“U-uh yeah, you’re Chris?” I said avoiding eye contact, seemingly finding the floor more interesting than his intimidating dark blue eyes.
“Are you joinin us with the spa massages Stephanie booked?” He asked crossing his arms over his chest, see somehow only us two were put onto this floor, making it that more awkward knowing no one could interrupt this.
“Spa massages?”
“Yeah the one she sent us? She sent the invites separately”
I knew this was going to happen. I was only brought along to be the butt of their jokes, something I expected but was used to. I was not going to waste this vacation
“Uh no. No i’m not. I have my own list” I smiled holding up the tiny blue notepad in my hand, letting him read it when he reached up for it, his eyes concentrating on every single word.
“So you’re going snorkelling then first yeah?”
“Mhm I wanna see turtles” I smiled remembering the documentary I watched a while back about how they are endangered and how amazing it is to see them out in the wild where they belong.
“Can I join?” Chris asked cocking his head to the side, his thumbs now tucked into the front pockets of his swim shorts, a small smile on his face.
“I-I mean yeah of course, don’t you wanna go to the spa though?”
“I mean sure but i’d rather see some adventure, plus I dont want ya to be alone” He explains starting to walk down the hallway, causing me to run up a little to catch up to his massive steps.
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
(Chris’ P.O.V)
Y/n and I got into the boat we were using for the snorkelling trip we were doing, my phone was switched off because of all the spammed texts I was receiving from the others. Straight from the get go I could already see they were trying to alienate Y/n, for no other reason than them thinking she was too shy to actually be fun.
“Look Chris! It’s a baby turtle!” Y/n shouted once she got into the water, pointing towards a spot where a tiny guy was floating towards the boat, even deciding to boop Y/n's finger with its head before swimming away rapidly.
“Alright alright m'comin sugar” I laughed getting into the water beside her, both our hands interlocked as we floated over the water, both our heads submerged looking at the wildlife underneath. I had even decided to buy an underwater camera at the lobby of the place, Y/n and I deciding it’d be a good idea to have ways to remember it.
Looking over at her under the water, her face was lit up by her gorgeous smile, her hair flowing freely in the water almost as if she was some siren.
(Time Skip)
“Omg that was amazing! I’m so glad we got to do that” She squealed jumping up and down once we got changed back into our clothes and showered off, both of us choosing to have a sneak peek around the gift shop.
When something small and blue caught my eye, a turtle stuffie on a keyring, perfect for her.
So while she was busy looking at some other things, I bought ut and stuffed it into my back pocket, waiting on her by the front door. The taxi waiting to bring us back to the hotel for dinner, I could tell both of us were sleepy from the activities with the way our eye lids lidded.
Y/n's shoulder had landed onto my head,
“Hey Y/n? Thanks for today, I had a lot of fun” I whispered pushing back some of her wet hair away from her face
“No problem, I had a ton of fun too! Maybe you can join me for mountain tubing tomorrow? I understand if the others-“
“I’d love to go mountain tubing with you, and between you and me, the others’ plans seem boring. All just therapeutic bullshit, which don’t get me wrong I totally get, but for the whole week? Really?” I scoffed feeling her giggle onto my bicep, my chest feeling that bit tighter, and my cheeks feeling that bit more redder.
“Also I-uh got you this earlier, reminded me of ya” I said fishing for the turtle keychain in my pocket, her fingers immediately reaching for it and squishing it like crazy. Without seeing her face, I could already tell that her eyes were probably wide and doe.
“T-thank you so much Chris, it’s so cute. I may just name it after you” She smiled looking up at me, then putting it straight onto the bag she carried around with her
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
(Y/n's P.O.V)
“Ah so there you guys are” I heard Chloe groan, the rest of the groups already sat down for dinner, stephanie at the head of the table looking grumpy.
“Didn’t we say 7 for dinner?” Grace grumbled throwing me a shady look, the other guys choosing to just remain silent and engage in their own conversations.
“Yeah sorry our boat took a bit to get back, there was just so much to see with the turtles-“ Chris explained before he was interrupted
“Y’all went snorkelling without us? Was it Y/n’s idea? God Y/n you’re so fucking rude, where was our invite?”
“W-well I thought you guys had massages, so I went to do my own thing and Chris wanted to come along” I explained, feeling my cheeks heat up at all of their glares, my fingers starting to fidget under the table when I felt Chris' hand grip onto mine under the table
“Uh she wasn’t rude, I know you guys purposefully didn’t send her an invite today. Frankly I’d prefer to spend my vacation with her than a bunch of assholes. Oh and Grace? She isn’t fucking mute, maybe if you took the time to talk to her like a person you’d understand that she does have a mind of her own and can speak for herself”
By the end I could see a vein throbbing at the base of Chris' neck, his face flushed because of his rant, the girls’ face red with embarrassment for being told off.
“Come on Y/n, I read up about a good restaurant a few minutes away”
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
(Chris’ P.O.V)
“Thank you so much for treating me to dinner, standing up for me and just being there” Y/n said as we walked towards our respective hotel rooms, our pinkies linked, which somehow happened on our way home. I definitely wasn’t against it.
“It’s no problem, honestly. Thank you for making my first day here absolutely amazing, and I know I might sound stupid straight off the bat, but I think I like you? Of course I know you said during dinner you prefer to take things slow so-“
I could barely even finish my statement when U felt her lips kiss my cheek, a small squeak leaving her as she rushed to close her bedroom door and rush inside; not even letting me process what the fuck just happened.
“You dropped Chris out here by the way” I laughed seeing the poor tiny turtle stuffie had been cut off the rashness of the door. I heard her door unlock slowly before her hand slowly reached out with the palm open, a cute gesture.
“Alright here’s Chris, and my spare room key. I-I saw that it’s due to thunder tonight and I remember you saying earlier you were scared of storms so..”
Closing her hand around both items her hand retreated into her room again, a few seconds I just stood there standing for some reason, when I saw her hand hold out something to me. Her notebook.
“I-incase you wanna add anything else you wanna do, l-like for future trips I dunno” She whispered now shutting the door for definite, a bashful smile on my face as my heart started to race a tiny bit.
“See ya tomorrow bright n' early for mountain tubing then!” I shouted to her door before walking off to my room. Lowkey awaiting her presence at some point during the night, hopefully.

Lunch is happening right?
Part two of Two Hearts by the Ocean
Javier Gutierrez x Abigail (plus size OFC)
This part is for general audiences - rating will depend on individual parts. Overall will be 18+ MDNI
Word Count: approx 2.1k
Warnings: Javier being a sweetheart, anxiety, overthinking, more fluff! 🥰
Summary: Our kind pair meet up and go for lunch…eventually. Once they do, they finally eat and it leads to an important question that Javier needs answered.
Notes: Nerdie is fully in her soft fluffy marshmallow era. This fic so such a joy to write. I’m glad people are enjoying the softness. Some of you may be surprised to know that I do enjoy the fluff at times. ☺️ Hehe!
Main Masterlist/ Javier Gutierrez Masterlist/ Two Hearts by the Ocean Series
Tumblr media
Javier returned to his compound and checked in on the chef who kept it simple by making grilled chicken, a blue cheese salad and sliced some bread he bought from the market in town with garlic butter. Javi requested for regular butter instead, just in case. Not an expectation of course, but it never hurts to plan for these things. After squaring things away with the chef, he returned to his quarters and undressed, showered and put on his favorite red relaxed button down shirt with tan slacks and brown loafers. He checked on the chef once more and went to inquire what was for dessert when he saw a chocolate cake coming out of the oven. The question of whether to frost the cake or not was put on hold as Abigail texted Javi that she was ready. Gutierrez left it up to the chef as he headed to his golf cart, replying that he was on his way to get her.
Abigail stood in front of the resort where Javier had parked the golf cart not too long ago. Her excitement was matched by her anxiety over putting herself out there and agreeing to lunch with a man she didn’t know. But it was fine, right? Treat it like a date, at his enormous compound, villa house that has a private beach. That happens every day. She did text her girlfriends and let them know that she wouldn’t be at the beach or resort. That she was out exploring, which was as vague as she could be. She thought about it and added that she would be touring some of the buildings and architecture of the island, she might be back late. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath. She brought a smaller tote back which she stuck her sunscreen, a bottle of water, her phone, wallet, charger, her notebook and a few pens, hand lotion and sanitizer. Javier appeared to be a sweet man who was kind enough not to kick her off his beach and was inviting her to lunch, things should be fine. Great even, when’s the last time she had lunch with someone who wasn’t a friend, family or for work?
Pulling up to the curb, Javier spotted Abigail holding her brown tote back in front of her. She was wearing the same yellow wide brimmed sun hat from earlier but this time, she wore a strapless blue dress that was the same light shade as the cloudless sky above. Her red matching nail polish on her fingernails and toes stood out against the quiet blue of her dress. She wore simple brown thong sandals and waved when she saw him. He returned her wave as he slowed the golf cart to a stop and practically beamed, “I have come back for you Abigail. I take it you have an appetite for lunch now?” He asked as he got out of the cart and rushed to the passenger side to ensure she was in all the way along with her dress that rose above her knees when she sat down. Once settled in, she nodded and smoothed out her dress, patting her thighs softly to remain calm. Javier was back behind the wheel, but didn’t take off yet.
“So you did Javi. I certainly am hungry. Um, what are we having for lunch?” His hand covered her left one and squeezed, her patting stopped. Javier could tell that she was nervous, he didn’t want her to be. His cousin’s frightening one, not him, though they do not know each other and hopefully never will. The smile he had on his face waned a bit as he turned toward her.
“Abigail, are you sure you still want to have lunch with me? You do not need to feel pressured into doing so.” The woman’s head shook quickly and she placed her right hand over his hand that held hers.
“No, no! It’s not that I don’t want to have lunch with you. I’m just nervous. I tend to anticipate the worst, but I know you’ve shown me none of that. I’m learning to let go and relax. I find it difficult. Please, let’s eat lunch Javier.” Her face still showed some reservation to Javi, but he would see how lunch went at the very least, she appeared a little less anxious than when she first got in the cart. With a nod, he released her hand for a moment and started the golf cart, then held it again.
“Alright Abby, but please, if you feel uncomfortable at any point let me know. You are going to be my guest in my home so it is my job to make sure you are at ease. Yes?” His face was serious as he informed her of his expectation. The view of his home was even more impressive from the front given the long driveway and lush greenery. She wondered how many landscapers it might have taken.
“Yes, I’ll make sure to let you know, I-I think I should be okay now though. Sorry about that.” Abigail apologized again, she may not have needed to, but it was very clear that he was much kinder than even she initially thought and understanding. He added that she didn’t need to apologize for how she feels, that it’s alright.
“I must confess that I feel nervous as well. I’m going to have lunch with an enchantingly gorgeous woman this afternoon. My day has improved greatly.” Javier pulled to a stop near the bottom of the steps that lead to the front door of his home. The heat to Abigail’s face was not from the sun. What had he been nervous for? He’d be able to convince a leopard that they would look perfect with stripes. Should I be concerned with my lack of concern? Might have something to do with the fact that I can see nearly all his teeth in that pretty smile he has on his face. I might be staring…that’s rude, but I also feel like he knows how attractive he is.
“…And that makes him all the more alluring. Such a stunningly warm man.” Her thoughts spilled from her lips. Javi’s smile turned to a grin.
“Do you mean me Abby? You find me alluring? This makes me swell with joy and relief.” He stepped out of the cart and walked over to the passenger side where he extended his hand. “I suppose I did take to you rather quickly. It may have been the work of your polka dots and red bathing suit at first, talking with you is a delight.”
Keeping further thoughts on any swelling he mentioned, Abby placed her hand in his. “Yes you are Javi. I believe you know that though.” She chuckled, stepping out of the golf cart and walking up the stairs with him to meet two towering cherrywood doors that a butler opened. “I enjoyed seeing you in your speedo too and I like the burnt orange against your skin. You look amazing with and without clothes.” They stepped across the threshold and her grip tightened on his hand. That was way too suggestive, we haven’t even eaten yet. That’s not the impression I wanted to give him.
“You have quite a way with your words Abigail.” Javier added a playful rasp to her name and brought her hand closer so he could hold it with both hands. “I understand what you meant. Do not fret. Tranquilízate (calm down) Abby.”
Javier gave Abby a brief tour on the way to the dining room to which her head turned in every direction to marvel at the house itself, the artwork, the hardwood and marble. Arriving in the dining room, Javier pulled out the chair for her, which she was momentarily confused by but sat down. His seat was set on the far side of the long table, but Javi picked up his place setting and moved it to the chair next to Abby.
“It appears to be a bit silly to be all the way over there. This is much better, do you agree?” He took his napkin and placed it in his lap as she nodded giggling. This is good, Javier thought to himself, she almost looks as she did on the beach. Ella está tranquila (She is calm).
The chef and a maid brought out the meal and served the pair. Abigail complimented the chef and thanked both him and the maid before starting in on her chicken. She was actually hungry and if she chewed a bit slowly, she may not say anything else embarrassing to this nice handsome man. Just act like you’ve spoken to another person Abby. It’s not that hard. Small talk was made over the meal about the food, the beauty of the house and beach. Her throat cleared when Javier asked how long she would be in Spain. She hadn’t been expecting the question, but it wasn’t a strange one, especially since it seems like he wanted to get to know her. “We arrived this week, Sunday, so we’ll be here for the next rest of this week and two additional ones. It’s a miracle we were actually able to coordinate our schedules.” She explained, it sounded like a joke but it wasn't. The group, half thought they were imagining things when everyone had the same block of time available.
“So Javi, I take that to mean you’d like to have other lunches?” Setting her fork down after finishing her chicken and half her salad, she was curious.”With me?” She maybe didn’t mean to add that last question, that was out of her own shock. They hadn’t finished lunch yet.
Javier took a few sips of his water and used his napkin to wipe his mouth though Abby didn’t see anything on his lips. She had been keeping track, and trying to be subtle about it. Not that she was quite sure what that looked like. The man has these beautiful strands of chocolate-cinnamon swirls that match his facial hair along with his large nose that fits his face. Though, where else is it supposed to fit? Focusing on another part of Javier didn’t work so well either, his neck has a vein that kinda jumps out at times when he’s chewing and-
“I am unsure who else I would be having lunch with Abby.” The soft chuckle matched with a mischievous look in his eyes had her palms flat on the table near her plate. She was more aware this time so she didn’t move them. “I do have a question for you, it is of the utmost importance.” Javier clasped his hands together and set his chin upon them, pausing for dramatic effect. “Have you seen ‘Paddington 2’?” Blinking, she tilted her head to see if he was going to say he was kidding. The man across from her did not appear to be, he was waiting for her to answer.
“I have not. Is this a dealbreaker Javi?” Her mind is still trying to catch up. She knows of Paddington, she hasn’t seen either movie, her nieces had been into Monster High and the Bratz so she didn’t take them so see it.
“Not if you are open to watching it with me.” His eyes remained trained on Abby, curious to her answer.
“I haven’t seen either Paddington movie. Should we watch one today and another one another day?” She proposed, if he wanted to watch a movie or two, that was more than fine with her. She might even suggest a couple herself. She wasn’t prepared for Javier to pop up from the table and knock his chair back. He took both her hands into his and planted one kiss on the back of each.
“You would be willing to watch both of them with me?! My enjoyment of this day has increased tenfold! Vamos al cine! (Let’s go to the movie theater)!” Abigail was up on her feet and with Javier’s arm around waist before she realized her point of view had changed. He was guiding her out of the dining room as she looked up at his bright face.
“Espera (wait) Javi! ¿Qué pasa con la comida?! (What about the food?!)”
“I can tell them to bring whatever you like! Estoy muy contento porque voy a ver la película contigo (I’m excited to watch the movies with you)!”
Moving quickly down the hallway, all Abigail could do was mutter to herself with a soft smile that Javi missed in both his explanation of why he enjoys the movies, especially Paddington 2 and hurry to make it to his private theater.
“Eres un cielo (You are very cute) Javi. Estoy metido en un lío (I am in trouble).”

Vacation recap, feel free to skip
Andy and I spent seven nights at a Sandals resort in Curaçao and it was incredibly expensive and so, so great. 5 stars, would recommend.
The resort is the newest Sandals resort, and apparently their opening a few years ago was delayed and pretty rocky because of covid so early reviews were decidedly mixed. Everything seems to have been ironed out and from our perspective everything was super smooth.
We flew out from a big airport an hour away at 6 am so the trip started with dropping the kids off the night before and getting up at 2. We were at the resort in time for a late lunch and they had our stuff brought to our room and a cheese plate and wine and balloons and a card for our anniversary in the room when we got up there. The staff were incredibly attentive and they all seemed invested in keeping the guests happy. They all were cheerful and pleasant and went out of their way to make things as easy for us as possible.
Our room looked out over a gorgeous garden with a peek of the ocean beyond and a sort of lazy river pool below us, which was incredible. It felt secluded and the garden was always abuzz with tons of birds and butterflies. We spent a bunch of time in the mornings out on the balcony with coffee watching the hummingbirds and these big yellow butterflies that were the exact same color as some of the flowers, so it looked like the flowers would just pick up and flutter away.
The resort is pretty large so they have bicycle racks scattered around and you can just hop on a bike and leave it wherever you decide you're done with it. The main pool was lovely and they have entertainment going next to it all day. The "quiet" pool isn't actually far enough away from the entertainment to be quiet but there are other smaller pools scattered around that are very quiet. The beach is on a channel, protected by a dock, with tons of beach chairs and palapas. There's another area of beach to walk on that's too rocky and rough for swimming but it's very pretty to look out at -- pure turquoise water that drops of suddenly into dark blue.
The food and drink are all included and very good. There were a few perplexing things (a "charcuterie tray" that included one very thick slice of garlic bread and slices of salami wrapped around chutney to make little pouches???) but there's a solid variety and the service was usually very good, especially for the number of people they're feeding. They have three tiny restaurants in food trucks that are open most of the day and they were so good. Each restaurant has its own style (sushi, Italian, Greek, South American, etc.) and they do a great job with the menus. We were asked at every single meal about allergies or food issues and they took it very seriously. There is room to improve in their desserts but my standards there are very high. There are bars scattered all over and most of them have signature drinks that are delicious.
One of the days we were there we hired a guy through a local tour company to take us all over the island and it was amazing. We saw a million things we'd never have known to even look for and we snorkeled with sea turtles and got fresh coconuts and ate an amazing meal at a little hole in the wall kind of place. It was supposed to be eight hours but we were having a great time and he kept wanting to show us other stuff so we were out for ten full hours and were exhausted when we got back.
The trip home was annoying -- delays and multiple gate changes on both legs of the flight, so we got home at 3:30 a.m. instead of midnight, but it could have been a whole lot worse and we were already planning on the girls spending the extra night at my parents' so we were the only ones impacted by it. The girls had a great week with my folks and it seemed easier on them than we expected. We FaceTimed with them for a few minutes every day and that def helped.
The best price you'll ever get at a Sandals is if you book another trip while you're still there, so we did. You can book up to two years out and you can change your details for most of that time so we have almost two years to figure it all out, but this trip was so lovely that we both very much want to do it again. It's wildly impulsive of us to commit without blocking out budget and childcare and stuff ahead of time but this trip was so great that we were like "we'll figure it out, let's just do it."
Overall, it was an incredible week, and it was really great to have so much time with Andy to just hang out and have fun. I'm so glad we did it. The end.

Good morning, dearest friends! I'm delighted to say we're back from up north and it was a BLAST!!!
So first of all, whoo. what a drive. From the heart of the city to the softspoken winds of the water it was erm, give or take about 5-6 hour car trip. Ya girl got pockets of car sickness but I managed not to throw up so yay!
The four of us traveled through Traverse City and omg THE CROWDS BRO I COULDN'T. We did weave through the people to catch the air show, that was so cool! All you heard was the planes ripping through the sound barrier as you watch them do their tricks and spins and barrel rolls through that bright blue sky. They looked so close that you could reach out and touch them! So many cool tricks! The people were a little less than stellar, only because I get panicky in big gatherings, but the cherry pie was worth it. Soo worth it.
Okay, now, off to the Sleeping Bear Dunes! We arrive in fair time and pull up to the BIGGEST piles of sand I've ever seen with my own two eyes! I get nervous, a little dizzy just looking at this beastly climb, and immediately predict this is going to be the funnest nightmare ever. (I was right btw!) We all take a whiz then start climbing, each of us donning our breeziest most death-proof clothing we packed, and right away I resort to scaling the FIRST dune on my hands and feet, growling and howling like a monster and chasing after my boyfriend while other tourist watched and laughed. It was all fun and games until about the 11th pole marker on our never-ending hike. How long did it take, you may ask, to get through these sand hills? I will tell you, dear friend:
It took us, in grand total, a whopping 6.5 hours to get from the car, down to the beach, back to the car, all without the relief of adequate shade from any trees, and running dangerously low on water after we saw for ourselves that there were no facilities on the shore. No bathroom, no water fountains, just sand and lake and lots of cool rocks. We rationed the water we had for about the last 3 miles of our hike, only sipping enough to wet our mouths. When I tell you we got burned bad. My back is just now starting to peel. Turns out, after all was said and done, we had mistakenly taken the longest and steepest path there was coming and going. But we did it! And we didn't even need to call the rescue team (good thing too, hello $2,000 rescue bill, no thanks)! But watching some of these other people hike our way WITHOUT ANY WATER OR ANYTHING, I was like '???' So we went out of our way coming back to warn others that they might want to turn back and prepare for the worst. They were grateful to say the least lol.
From there we carried on towards Cadillac and meandered around the country roads until we found a cozy little hole-in-the-wall bar and grill and stopped off for dinner. The food there was excellent! My friends Cassie and Annette got a giant ceaser salad and mac n cheese with a side of fried cheese curds, my boyfriend David got a burger with fries and a side of mac n cheese, and I nibbled on a plate of veggies with a few fries on the side. I got something super light because I suspected I'd doze off in the car right after eating; sure enough, I was right lol.
From there we drove about an hour to our hotel room and packed it in for the night. Super nice little place, we lucked out and got one of the best rooms with lakeside view and a backroom door leading straight to the heated pool room. Everyone else stayed up for a bit, I was knocked out lol. We slept a few hours, got up the next morning and showered and whatnot, then took off for the local beaches for some serious rock and shell hunting. We found some neat stuff: David found some cool Petoskey stones and me and Cassie and Annette were chasing shells around the shore. We found a bunch of big snail shells and a few clamshells, I was hoping to dig up some gemstones somewhere like how I did out in North Carolina, but sadly no such luck this time. But that's okay. We beach hopped for a few hours, had a few seltzers in the sun, then began our journey home, saw a haunted-ass barn and belted out some car karaoke for a while.
Y'all, it. Was. The. BEST!!! It was the getaway we all needed and some amazing bonding time, even though we all nearly died out on the dunes lol totally worth it! We're already planning another vacation for next year, we wanna go gem hunting up in the mountains. Gonna be bomb!
I'm so glad to be home though. It's good to be back!

Destiel Month, 6 Nov.: Trip
"Oh?" Dean wiggled closer. "Where would you like to go?"
deancas, established relationship, nsfw-ish
"I was thinking," Cas said.
Dean opened one eye to look at him. Cas, or at least his soft hair, looked improbably tidy. Only a little flush on his rough throat remained. On the other hand, to Dean's great delight, Cas like Dean was still incredibly naked.
"Angelic post-coitus musings – sounds like a Penthouse column." Dean grinned lazily as he stretched long-ways down the mattress and wiggled his toes.
"I–" Cas closed his mouth and started again. "I was going to say I wouldn't call it that, but you're well aware I would not write a column for that publication."
Dean poked his leg with his big toe. "Don't let the naysayers get ya down. Dream big, buddy." He yawned and stretched some more.
Cas rolled onto his side, facing Dean and wearing a patient-but-not-that-patient expression. "Are you going to go to sleep?"
Dean moved a little closer and hooked his foot around Cas's ankle. "You just fucked my brains out, man, you gotta give me time to recoup."
"On average your refractory period is approximately 23 minutes." Cas pushed a lock of hair off of Dean's forehead. "And it's been about 15 minutes already."
"Okay, Mr. Spock, first of all, this isn't a sprint, it's a marathon. Secondly, you don't need to pay that much attention to the clock–"
"Oh, I'm not." Cas shrugged. "There doesn't seem to be a clock in here. Our phones notwithstanding."
He glanced over at the window. On the way into the cabin they'd thrown down their keys, phones, and bags in that general vicinity. They themselves had landed directly on the one well appointed bed. Their clothes were…everywhere.
Dean reached out and snagged the undershirt that was festooning the corner of the headboard and let it fall on the floor. "You're just, what? Able to keep – and remember, I guess – time, these particular times, by yourself? That an angel thing?"
Cas propped himself up on one arm. "Hmm. I oversaw a lot of celestial projects over the years. They often took a very long time to complete. Proper timekeeping was essential."
"You know having sex isn't the same kind of thing, right? Like there's no boss standing around with a clipboard checking off ticky boxes. Although that might be kinda interesting." Dean waggled his eyebrow and was gratified that Cas smiled in response. "All right. What were you thinking?"
"We should take a trip somewhere."
Cas traced something on Dean's shoulder with a fingertip; Dean shivered to guess it was probably the ghostly outline of Cas's former handprint.
"We're technically already doing that." Dean let his hand curl around Cas's hipbone and marveled again at how good it felt to do so. "And we're even staying in a slightly more upscale accommodation than usual. Behold! We're in a cabin, but the bedside lamp is not shaped like a whiskey barrel. Pretty classy."
Cas shook his head with what Dean felt confident was genuine fondness for him. "I meant a vacation devoid of potential dragons."
"Oh?" Dean wiggled closer. "Where would you like to go?"
"You're always talking about the beach."
"Oh hell yeah." Dean got lost in the ocean blue of Cas's eyes for a second. Then he remembered: "It's November."
"The US has a whole southern coast, doesn't it?" Cas squinted. "Not to mention all the other parts of the world that aren't going into wintertime, or even if they are, it's warm there year round." He must've felt Dean's hesitation. "We don't have to go the second we return to the bunker."
"No, no, you're right."
Dean started to imagine a long swath of white sand warmed by sunlight, and water clear as glass rippling in a tropical breeze. Fruity, frosty drinks and hot, lazy afternoons. The sea turned to flame at sunset. A beautiful resort room where he could lay Cas out and take him apart slowly, taste every inch of tanned, salty skin, render him helpless with pleasure.
Cas's eyes had been tracking Dean's and growing darker.
"We'll do some research when we get home, figure out a time and destination," Dean murmured against Cas's mouth, as the flat of Cas's hand began to wander down his chest. "How many minutes we at?"
"Twenty," Cas said, already sounding a little out of breath.
"Ahead of schedule then," Dean said, rolling onto his back as Cas rose up over him.
Planning for a trip could be half the fun. Practicing for a trip, even nicer.

STARTER: closed (GiGi x Cage) LOC: Unnamed Beach Property WHEN: June 28th @ around midday
This was the third property GiGi was touring this week and while each location was more beautiful than the last, the feasibility reports left little to desire. The first had been a gorgeous beach front; soft sand and stunning blue waters, she could envision hotel goers laying out on lounge chairs, enjoying a freshly made cocktail. However, it was isolated from the rest of town. The summers here were beautiful, but it didn’t seem feasible to create a resort solely on a beach when it’d be much colder during the winter months.
The second was closer to town, but the beach was inhabitable. Instead of soft sand like the last property, the beach was filled with stone. Too difficult to build upon and even if she attempted, who would want to visit a beach resort where they couldn’t relax comfortably? GiGi sighed, flipping through her binder, studying the report for the next property while her Uber driver searched for a radio station.
Third times to charm, right? she thought to herself, eyes narrowing onto the picture provided on the page. It felt like a stock photo, too perfect to be true. The property was smaller than the last two she’s visited, but if what the report said was true, it had beautiful beaches with perfect views of the sunrise every morning, close enough to the town and pier, too, which would appeal to most families.
“Here we are, ma’am,” says her driver, looking at her through the rear view mirror. GiGi smiles politely, grabbing her purse and the binder before opening the door. The smell of salt in the air floods her senses. “Thank you, if you’re still in the area, I should be finished within the hour.” The driver nods before pulling off and she thinks to herself, maybe I should finally get my license.
The walk to the beach doesn’t take long, a small trail having been made ages ago by someone she assumed to be the previous owner. Kicking off her sandals into the sand, she continues to push forward towards the waterfront. It was just as gorgeous as the pictures promised — white sand and rolling waves, it felt like she was having a vision. The resort would be built in the back with some rooms featuring a water view while others a city. They would have lounge chairs laid out by the water and cabanas for those who craved more privacy. Eagerly pulling out her digital camera, she begins snapping photos for her binder … she takes pause, however, when she sees run down bungalow in the corner.
“Well, that just won’t do,” she mumbles, staggering through the sand with her camera and binder in hand. The closer that she got, the more she could see of the dilapidated structure. If there had been any paint, it had been peeled to reveal the dark wood underneath. Broken steps, a door that was hanging on by a singular hinge, roof shingles lying in the sand, GiGi scrunches her nose at the scene. The bungalow must have belonged to the previous owner.
Taking a quick snap for her records, she mumbled to herself, “… maybe we could put the bar here.”

Crossing the enemy lines
Fandom: Ron Kamonohashi Deranged Detective
Last week, an anime in the making was announced to the delight of manga readers like yours truly. This is a prequel to the first chapter, with some hints of spoilers, yet canon divergence and a mix of head canons and fan theories.
If you haven’t read it, I urge you to do it.
Trying out for the first time to join @flashfictionfridayofficial for this week’s prompt.
Tumblr media
Totomaru Isshiki is on the run. Face, beet red and sweating, and heart racing, he turns around for a split second to check if someone is following him. Nary a soul. No one. Nothing. He walks along the coastal beach, strange that there are no divers to be seen, no beachcombers, not even the locals. The white sand, however, keeps on entering his white sneakers.
Kilometres it seems as he comes across the fields of rice where patient water buffaloes are waiting for their masters. His burner phone starts again to vibrate. In fact, it has been vibrating ever since this morning. Like a wilful child, he decides not to answer it at all.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck… fuck me!” Cursing is not particularly in his vocabulary, but at this moment, cursing at himself seems to be the only thing he can do. Paranoia grips him. Regrets. He has a lot of those. Especially if you are born in a powerful family operating in the shadows. He’s been cooped up for two days on the beautiful Yaeyama Islands. He’s walking aimlessly. The view is right—a row of Bali style lodges in the middle of luxurious jungle facing the blue waters of the ocean against the backdrop of loud yellow sunshine, verdant rice fields, temperature shooting up to more than 30 degrees, perfect for a getaway—but everything is wrong, off. Toto’s ideal vacation is without a doubt no disturbance coming from anybody, lest his own family.
The old Nokia model vibrates again. He resolves to answering it all at once. “Hi!” Toto knows the owner of that voice, Milo Moriarty.
“No greetings? Oh, you wound me, Toto. Are you enjoying the views at least? Have you been touring the whole island? You are so unreachable. It is exhausting to be ignored. Don’t try me, Toto. Don’t make me angry.”
Of course, Milo will know where he is. He has eyes and ears on everything. His omnipotence scares him, a family trait. Besides, he’s the one who kidnaps him away from the comforts of his new flat. He’s the reason he has probably lost a day prior to his arrival to the islands.
“It is not my fault to be here, Milo. I was doing my job and the next thing I knew I was on an island.” Toto is irritated that intermingles with his fear. He knows what Milo is capable of. He has seen how he destroys his enemies, witnessed what happened to those who oppose him. Yet deep inside, he knows Milo won’t dare touch a strand of his brown hair. He has other ways to punish him.
“Your job? If that’s your way of making me laugh… you only got it because you insisted of doing the right thing when you don’t even have the talent for deduction.” Loud chuckle rambles on the receiver. Toto could smother him. “The curtain rises.” Milo has the penchant for the dramatics. “Your stage is ready.”
“Ron Kamonohashi is not bothering the family. He’s suffering from depression, wallowing in his own loneliness…why do we need to lure him out?” Toto asks. He’s not used to violence so he’s resorting to a more sinister plan: befriending him, earning his trust. Milo has instructed him. He’s been taught how to mind his manners after all, all thanks to their grandmother, who is particular with etiquette by keeping the appearances of a respectable family.
“Because he’s nothing but a pest, Toto. He’s akin to a rat that needs to be eradicated. He’s an anomaly. He’s a taint.” Milo, who has taken over the family empire, means business. He can go on and on, declaring a hundred ways to destroy Ron Kamonohashi.
“He’s walled up in his room for five years, don’t you think it is punishment enough?”
“Are you backing out? Are you defying me? We have talked about this.” Milo raises his voice. Toto, shocked and defeated, tries to defuse Milo’s anger.
“All right. All right. You don’t need to be hyper. I’ll do it, okay?!” Toto assures Milo.
“Very good! Enjoy the last few hours of your holiday, Toto. Details will come to you once you are back in Tokyo.”
“Will you be there?”
“Maybe. Though I doubt it. If my schedules in London will permit me. Goodbye, Toto. I am counting on you this time.”
Toto lets out a sigh. He packs the personal stuff he has, goes to the terrace, and watches the sunset. Very soon he will meet the descendant of Sherlock Holmes. Not long now.
Expanded version now on AO3.

For my tumblr bestie @random-rave early birthday gift 🎁
@thenaluarchive Nalu Week 7-part story
“So, you and Gray will be heading back home to Cali for the summer?” Lucy questioned her friend Natsu. The University of Hawaii at Hilo just finished their spring semester, and all the dormies needed to vacate soon.
“Yeah, our lease is up at the end of the month.”
Lucy pursed her lips briefly. “In that case, I was wondering if you guys would like to come with Levy and I to my family’s beach house in Waikoloa?” She questioned. It had become their tradition to go after school finished for two weeks. “We’ll be back before you leave.”
“I’ll check with Gray, but I think he’ll say okay. So, just the four of us?”
“Yup. Gajeel,” Levy’s longtime boyfriend, “has to work so he can’t come.”
“Sounds like a plan!”
One week later, the four friends piled into Lucy’s Toyota 4Runner and headed out to Waikoloa. The quickest route was a 1-1/2 hour drive on the Daniel K. Inouye highway. A scenic route that cut between two of the island’s volcanoes, Mauna (mountain) Kea and Mauna Loa. Flanked by ancient ohia forests and lava flows on the eastern side, and miles of open fields on the west. You can even see rising across the ocean, mount Haleakala on the island of Maui on a clear day.
They arrived in Waikoloa’s Anaeho’omalu area nestled along the azure blue Pacific Ocean. A developed piece of land surrounded by crumbling ancient lava flows and sparse grass lands— a very dry environment. Here hotels like the Hilton and Marriott had built along side condos like the one Lucy’s family owned.
“Very nice,” Natsu remarked as he got out of the vehicle. “How much does a place like this cost?”
“I’m not sure,” Lucy responded. “All I know is they bought this place a couple years after I was born.” Her mom had heard about it’s sale while working at her realty company.
He chuckled, “so, out of our price range, got it.”
“Yeah,” she giggled too.
Lucy lead the group into the home and parceled out the rooms. It was a three bedroom condo, so she and Levy got one room each while the two boys had to share one. But they were fairly large and comfortable, plus Natsu and Gray were already used to sharing a dorm. Then after a quick tour of the place, they head out for supplies at the nearest store.
Foodland farms market was located in a shopping center a few miles away near the Mauna Lani resort. Since this was the boys first time there, the group walked around the shopping center, window shopping really. It was just a mix of clothing stores and restaurants.
“Can you believe there used to be a 4-D theater here?” Lucy explained. “They only played really short films, but it was the first time I experienced 4-D.”
“Yeah I saw a scene from that movie Journey to the Center of the Earth here,” Levy added. “That scene where they’re on the boat and flying fish we’re jumping all over, they spritzed us with water!”
Everyone laughed.
“At least you got to try a 4-D, I haven’t seen one yet,” Natsu griped.
“Well one day while here, we can check out the luxury cinemas at Queen’s marketplace.” Lucy offered Natsu with a light blush to her cheeks. “I haven’t been there yet.”
“Like a date? I’m game,” he teased pulling a deeper flush from Lucy.
“When you two are done flirting, meet us at the market,” Levy teased before pulling Gray away from the now flustered pair.
After a couple seconds, Natsu and Lucy gained their composure and followed. The group shopped for food to last a few days along with drinks and snacks. It was a decent haul leaving them with arms full of groceries.
On the way back to the car, Natsu stopped Lucy briefly. “I just wanted to say thanks again for inviting us. I think this is gonna be the best vacation I ever had.”
“Aww,” Lucy blushed, “I think so too.”

Aurora Australis
New Zealand, 2022, a parallel universe
Tumblr media
A/N: This is a collaboration with other writers. Make sure you read them all here. Please note this story is a parallel universe in the same time frame.
Benjamin Adams Hospital, Vermont, 2022
Jakes POV:
When Jessy sent me home I grabbed a book she had been reading along with some she planned to read. These were never my favorite but she loves them during her alone time. I grabbed the one she was reading from my bookbag. I bring my chair next to her bed and hold my hand.
"My love, these past couple weeks I've told you so many memories I hadn't before that I have nothing more to share. Can you believe  tomorrow is your birthday? I had different plans for them but they have to wait for you to wake up. However  I'm going to read from the book you had on the nightstand to read." I say as I open it up. I start reading to her but my hand still holds hers.
MC POV:
My eyes get heavy as I hear his soothing voice read to me and I feel myself drift off.
New Zealand, 2022, a parallel universe
He takes off the blindfold as he refused to let me know where we are going and I see the cabin that has become our favorite place. I see sunflowers and a gift on the counter as its my birthday. Its getting late but I know by the look in his eyes we have other plans.
We have done this trip a million times. It feels like he seems so nervous but excited. This little resort area with cabins has become our favorite place. We always ask for the same location every time and this was no exception. We walk out towards the water as the sun is setting, hand in hand. I have no fear with him as I look at him. His black hair is a little disheveled from the wind and as he pulls me close those electric blue eyes melt my heart. These last couple years with him by my side through everything, including the hospital for fighting for my life, has only brought us closer.
You see I've known him for as long as I can remember. We grew up just a few houses away and our parents worked together. For the longest time everyone said we would fall in love and we fought that idea as we didn't want to ruin the friendship we had. However, as we got older and had failed relationships we made it through them together.
We also fought what everyone said as he is five years older so all through school our lives never mixed well until I turned 18 and there was nothing stopping us if we decided to try
Three years ago I was diagnosed with cancer and I realized what my heart wanted one day when he came to visit me in the hospital bringing me sunflowers, because he knew they were my favorite. We've been together ever since.
This moment though with his arms around me as I see the sun sinking over the water in his eyes sends shivers down my spine and we lean in for a kiss at the same time. This kiss is deep and passionate. I still feel his nerves running through him.
We finally pull away and I look into his eyes, "why are you nervous, Jake?" I ask him.
"MC, I've known you for as long as I can remember. We've been through hell and back between life and when you fought cancer. All of a sudden I feel like this isn't our only life together currently or previously" he says with a huge smile.
"I've been feeling the same. I feel like our time together is definitely not the first time our souls have met. However, where is this coming from?" I ask holding his hand as I turn around and watch the sun setting.
I hear him sigh, as he picks me up and walks us closer to the water edge. He sets me down and sits down on the beach. I climb into his lap and he just holds me. I know with him when I ask a question he can't answer this is what we both need to calm our hearts.
I must of dozed off because I wake up to him kissing my cheek "baby wake up you don't want to miss this" he says into my ear.
I open my eyes and I see the Aurora Australis. My eyes get so big and my mouth drops. He knows this is something that Ive anyways wanted to see but we never made this trip at the right time. I lay in his lap in awe as I watch all the colors in the sky over the water and I feel him squeeze me tight.
He looks into my eyes as he doesnt hear me and must see pure enjoyment as I catch him smile.
"How did you know?" I ask him still watching.
'"I researched the best time and planned this trip around it because from all those days in the hospital you wanted to see this."
I just lean back against him watching in amazement as I hear him whisper in my ear "happy 30th birthday my love." He knows that calling me that in moments like this sends shivers down my spine.
I close my eyes for a moment to enjoy his arms around me and the wind on my skin.
I wake up and I hear the beeping of the hospital and I hear Jake snoring. Oh how thankful I am for that sound. He's finally getting some sleep. I feel someone on the other side of me and it feels like they are just holding my hand but I don't know who until they lean closer.
"MC, please wake up for him and I. We both know you're fighting and trying to come back. We refused to believe this is the end of you in our lives" Jessy says into my ears.
All I want to do is cry because I'd love nothing more than to come back to them. This last dream was so different it was almost like another universe with him and it heals my soul to know we really do always find eachother.

The mid winter afternoon sun spilled into warm living room, casting a soft orange glow over the snoring family. Chris Evans and his family were definitely one to take family naps on the daily, consisting of both his toddler Ellie and wife Y/n.
With an air mattress on the living room floor packed with blankets and pillows, and of course stuffies Ellie refused to sleep without, Elmer the giraffe. Chris lay on his back with one arm folded behind his head, another arm tucking his dear wife into his side and baby Ellie had taken it upon herself to sleep on top of her daddy’s chest.
“mmm” Ellie whimpered nuzzling her head further into her dad’s bare chest, her tiny hands clutching onto one of her mother’s fingers while the other had stuck a thumb into her own mouth for comfort. Dressed in her favourite bambi t-shirt dress, the three year old began to stir from her nap. Letting go of her momma’s finger and thumb, she lifted her head up cutely looking lost, almost forgetting where she was.
Using her diapered bottom as a cushion, the three year old slid off her daddy’s chest, landing with a bounce onto the air mattress. Ellie's specks of brown hair stood up in all directions, her face still puffy from her sweet nap.
“hmph” Looking around she felt bored but didn’t want to venture too far from her parents' side, not when there were boogie monsters hiding somewhere in the house. Her wide eyes looked around the room hopelessly, until a shiny thing by her daddy’s head caught her eye, his phone.
Stumbling to her feet, she tottered over and grabbed the phone with her hands, quiet squeals leaving her when the screen lit up. The three year old checked up on her parents, to see them now snuggling further into each other, oblivious to the antics their baby was getting up to while they snoozed. In fact Y/n now had one leg wrapped around Chris' waist with one arm around his torso, with both Chris' arms wrapping around his wife.
Little Ellie now felt left out and decided to do what she did best, cuddle. Trying to crawl into her parent’s arms seemed impossible, huffing out of her pouty lips she just sat staring at them both. Until the shiny thing once again caught her eye, her interest went further when she recognised the numbers from 1-9 on the screen, something her mom had spent time trying to teach her before kindergarten.
Pressing a wide spread of different numbers that peaked her interest, she got into what looked like a screen with multiple icons and squares, her dad’s homescreen.
“Oo birdie” She whispered seeing a blue icon with a white bird, reminding her of the times she had seen tweetie bird while watching Baby Looney Tunes with her parents during bottle time. She furrowed her brows when a complicated looking thing came up, all types of words and symbols all over the place. ‘messy’ she thought
Seeing the only thing she recognised was a ‘+’ button she decided to press it, with the alphabet coming up underneath giving her free reign to type whatever her heart felt content with. Starting with her ABCs typed out, she smiled proudly to herself before seeing the suggested words pop up above the keyboard.
Ellie clicked rapidly watching an abundance of words pop up onto the screen instantly bringing her tons of joy.
She only felt it was right to press the tick in the corner, thinking it meant she was correct, not realising she had posted it to Chris' 16 million twitter followers. Dropping the phone when she felt her father’s arm wrap around her waist,
“What are you doin up monkey?”
(Chris' P.O.V)
My eyes flickered open, my wife’s head tucked into my neck, with both my arms around her. Placing a soft kiss onto her forehead I turned my head to see my little princess facing away from me,
“What are you doin up monkey?”
“Nofin dada” Ellie replied cutely, my arms bringing her to sit atop my chest, her cute toothy smile making my heart swell with happiness.
To my side I felt Y/n pepper soft kisses onto my neck, signalling that she too was starting to wake up slowly. Sporting that same dazed look as Ellie, my wife lifted up her head and looked around before settling her head on my chest with a soft smile on her face.
“Hey baby” Y/n croaked out, bringing up a hand to cup Ellie's face as she nuzzled into it.
“C'mere love” Y/n cooed shifting over to create a small space between us, Ellie's face lightening up as she hurried to shuffle into the crevice. Her head laying on my torso, with half her body leaning on mine, Y/n’s arms kept around her waist affectionately.

(Y/n's P.O.V)
Ever since I had met Chris all those months ago, we had honestly been texting non stop even though I had started a new job as a chef a whole town away. I was missing his cute handsome face, and the way he just loved on me.
After throwing out the rest of food I couldn’t bare to finish, I just sat staring at the dull ass grey walls of my apartment, the atmosphere itself just draining. Sure there were a few family pictures laying about the place and mementos, but nothing ever beats being back home where everything you know is.
With the occasional sext and visit from Chris I was able to get by, although he did say I was not to touch what was his and I was not going to go against that
Even though my pa strongly disapproved of us, mostly due to the age gap, I did not let that waver my decision of seeing Chris. I'm in love with this man.
*Knock Knock*
Letting out a massive sigh I opened the door to see a massive bouquet of flowers being pushed to my face, before I saw a head poke out from the side.
"CHRIS?!" I squealed grabbing the flowers and setting them on the table by the door, jumping straight into his arms, a deep chuckle reverberating through his chest as he brought us inside.
“Well don’t ya look all pretty? Don’t suppose you were dressin' up for someone else were ya sugar?” He teased setting me on one of my bar stools in the kitchen, his hands not letting go of my waist.
“Nuh uh, was jus' thinkin bout you” I replied bitting my lip smirking back at him, his beard had grown and so had his hair, giving him a more matured sexy look.
“Oh yeah? what was you thinkin’ about?”
He inquired leaning in closer to me, his hands situating themselves onto my thighs to rub onto them softly. “Just thinkin thoughts” I said dismissively kicking my legs back and forth.
“Alright alright I won’t push ya, but I got somethin for ya” He laughed taking off his backpack, that’s when my eyes were glued to what he was wearing. A white tight polo shirt that accentuated his body, along with a pair of black trackies, how was this my man?
“This is for you when i’m not around” He said pulling out a brown teddy bear, dressed in construction work, it even had the name tag Chris on it.
“Aw Chris” I pouted taking the furry thing into my arms and hugging it dearly, hell he even sprayed it with his citrus cologne.
“You’re so sweet” I cooed looking up at the older man who I now had wrapped around my finger. Setting the teddy onto the counter behind me, I brought my hand up to behind his neck and pulled him down for his lips to meet mine.
My soft pink ones being pressed against his, it wasn’t long before I felt his tongue probing at my lips to open them, which he did. His teeth clashing against mine as his tongue ravaged my mouth, both of our lips now shiny with saliva as he pulled away smirking.

“Y/n didn’t I tell you not to go out to the shop on your own?! Especially now that you’re showing” Chris shouted pacing around the kitchen, his hands ruffling roughly through his hair whilst he got Y/n a glass of milk. Poor Y/n sat on one of the stools in their kitchen, clutching the packet of chocolate chips to her chest tightly; her 7 month bump proudly popped.
“But I just wanted some cookies n’ I didn’t want to wake you, you’ve just gotten home Chris” She argued setting the cookies onto the cold marble counter, watching her husband aggressively open the fridge and pull out the carton.
“Y/n you know that I would go above and beyond for you, I don’t care if i’ve just ran across the world twice, I don’t want you on your own out there” He grumbled pouring out the last of the milk before throwing the carton into the recycling trash bin, his face still slightly red from when he was really angry when Y/n first came in.
“I’m sorry Chrissy” Y/n pouted tugging on her husband’s shirt, to no avail, he instead handed her the glass of milk and opened her cookies for her.
“Nope i’m allowed to be angry for at least 20 more minutes” He groaned walking to the other side of the kitchen, putting away the stuff he had brought out. Y/n felt herself smile slightly when she got this amazing idea, that same morning she had seen tiktok trends of girlfriends flashing their boyfriends during an argument.
“Ya know I still can’t believe you did that-“
With his back turned away from her, Y/n put her hair behind her shoulders, “Chris look here” She said, immediately pulling up his shirt she was wearing, revealing both of her now swollen breasts to him.
Chris' eyes just widened and his mouth opened in shock, his sentence lost in his throat as a small smile slowly found its way onto his face.
“Ya can’t jus' do that bunny, that isn’t fair” He groaned, his teeth biting onto his bottom lip to keep his smile small. His eyes following her as she pulled down his shirt to cover herself up again, smirking to herself she turned to face her treats once again, knowing she had won.
“Hm well are you still mad at me?” She asked,
“God no, are ya kiddin? Just saw my wife’s tits” He laughed walking over, picking up one of Y/n's cookies, and dipping it in milk before feeding it to her. His heart going a thousand miles an hour when he saw her wiggle in her seat, enjoying one of her many midnight snacks which had become a daily routine now.
“Baby can you get some marshmallows?”
“I don’t know bunny, might be too-“
Before Chris could protest again, Y/n had pulled up her shirt again, Chris' eyes falling to her chest causing him to sigh.
“No honey, it’s not gonna work twice in a row in one night” He groaned closing his eyes and shaking his head,
“Not even if I let ya touch them?” She teased giving him a little shake of her chest,
“I-Uh damn okay fine, but it’s gotta be a long one ok?”
“Fine by me baby” Y/n smiled watching her husband grab the mallows, he gave her one hell of a wet kiss before passing over her newly acquired marshmallows. His eyes trained on the globes under her shirt,
“Honey-“

“Look Noah, it’s mama” Chris said holding up Noah's hand to wave it at his momma, Noah's face widening with a smile as his arms stretched out for Y/n to hold him.
“Woah hold on, when did ya get these?” Chris asked his wife smirking slightly, his fingers looping themselves inside her waistband to tug her closer to him. Noah who was in her arms had his head tucked into the crook of her neck, his arms barely wrapping around her due to how small he still was.
“Hmm what do you mean?” Y/n asked playing coy, her hands smoothing over the top of Noah’s head, his tiny coos filling the kitchen.
“I think you know what I mean baby, lookin' good enough to eat over here” He groaned suddenly groping her ass aggressively, even slapping it just to watch it jiggle in his palm, God was he mesmerised.
“Stop it Chris, your son’s here” Y/n laughed padding about the kitchen, trying to lull the clearly restless Noah into a soft sleep. Before Chris took Noah out of her arms and said he was off to put him down in his crib for a while, although we all know he had an ulterior motive.
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
“I’m a lucky man” Chris groaned sipping on a cold beer, leaning on the edge of the counter just watching his wife move about the kitchen gracefully.
“Chris I didn’t actually think you’d like them this much? I mean Nancy said it worked wonders but- OW”
Y/n squealed jumping up a little, Chris’ hands coming behind her to give her one hell of a spank, I mean she always knew he was an ass man. We all knew. Turning around to face him, Y/n felt herself swoon at his charming smile and the animalistic growls coming from his mouth as he grabbed and kneaded her ass.
“What’d ya say we get that ass outta those leggings and we can have some fun before our baby wakes up? Man I just love your fuckin’ body” He whispered, his hands grabbing onto her love handles gently, his lips pressing an affection kiss onto her forehead.
“Well I guess it wouldn’t hurt to have a little fun, how fast do you think you can cum?”

(Chris' P.O.V)
“Come on Chrissy, give it back” my wife moaned as I gently slid my hardened cock out of her slippery fuck hole, the sounds of her sopping wet cunt filling the room. Her eyes half lidded with her hands intertwined with mine, her hips slowly started to roll against the air.
Slapping my cock on her swollen lips, I heard her wince and whimper, her beautiful tits sitting there perked up looking pretty.
“Come on baby, look at your pretty puffy pussy, knew I missed her” I taunted slowly pushing myself back in, her breath getting caught in her throat as her hands now held onto my forearms which were by my stomach.
“Look at me. Be a good girl, and cum on my fat cock”
(Y/n's P.O.V)
Chris slammed his hips repeatedly into mine, whispering things like “my beautiful perfect wife, all pretty for me to worship”
My arms now linked around his neck, my eyes starting to close due to the immense pleasure coursing through my body.
"Your body is fucking perfect. I'm obsessed with it. I'm not cumming until you do. So, cum for me."

Day 220c: Tuesday August 8, 2023 - "O'ahu Sunset"
After lunch at the Fish Market on the Pier, we followed the traffic up the West coast of O'ahu completing our tour of the island with a hope for sunset up at the end of the road at Keawaula Beach and the Space Force Base up there. The wind whipped the sand in painful bursts, but I got one last salty float in the Pacific, and a few nice shots with my Nikon in the last few minutes before they locked the gate. I enjoyed seeing the water fall back into the ocean over the rugged lava rocks, and how I had to be patient to get the shot, while everyone else smartly waited in the car. Seeing the sun fall into the pacific out here on O'ahu is a big score on the aesthetic voyage and if were to capture a really great shot, it could stand as a nice marker of this memorable trip with my parents, taking on the standby game to crash Audrie's overnight with a whole crew; leveling up again, in an effort to put myself here. As I crunched down on my butt, trying to get small against the blowing sand, it crossed my mind that "this is still way better than having to be at work in the desert. The sun plowed through the cloud in bright rays, the waves kept rolling up onto the rocks, and I was doing what I always felt like I enjoy doing the best.
When it was done, we started down the road back to Honolulu just as Mama let us know that she was on the ground. It timed up perfectly - she arrived 15 minutes before us, got settled into the room before catching us in the lobby of the resort, and helping to figure out our parking situation. I was excited to show off the ingenious pack job Id pulled off in our little VW rental, getting all 5 of our suitcases, the stroller, disassembled into 4 piece, and a collection of totes. This had been a major source of stress for me on Saturday, but we pulled it all back apart for the next to last time, and crashed into Audrie's hotel room, hosting us on her little workcation. We ate Poke from the Fish Market, and shared tales from our couple of days apart, and washed all the sand and salt out of our little lion's mane. When it was time for him to go to bed, we all laid together as Mama sang sweet songs. After a fun day in O'ahu that saw us eating shaved ice on the North Shore, picnic breakfast at the beach, craft rum stop, Pearl Harbor, Fish Market, and Beach Sunset.... it was still this sweet moment at the end of the day that was my favorite. Audrie softly singing Powder Blue Solo while running fingers through Williams hair, as we all lay together in a pile - that was the prime moment of the day when I felt happiest. Better than the sunset? For this older version of myself, hell yes. We had bags to organize for the flight home tomorrow morning, and a long challenging day of stand by game lay ahead...but all of that could wait. I wanted to just lay and enjoy this moment with my family, and so I did and doozed off to sleep in that contentment I was so anxious for when first getting to the island 3 days ago.

This got a little long, please forgive us

There really is something about a saltwater breeze.
New York has beaches, of course: Coney Island, Montauk, the Jersey Shore. A handful of summer weekends have been whiled away in the Hamptons, at the behest of this paramour of Bellamy’s or that friend of Octavia’s, and the one Pride they spent on Fire Island regularly elicits covetous groans and pleading promises of “we should do that again!” even now. But the north Atlantic just isn’t the same. The air is briny, the sand is coarse, and there’s no vegetation for miles around by the time your feet hit the water.
The Intracoastal, on the other hand, makes a much better show of mimicking the beaches she grew up with. The sea breeze in question rustles the palms over her head, dappling her chosen chaise in shifting shadow before flowing over the edge of the terrace and filling the sails of the trimaran scooting by on the water several levels below. It’s too large a craft to be headed for the sandbar she knows is just around the corner, where some dozen boats will be beached so their passengers can sunbathe; even her limited knowledge is enough to tell her the sleek craft and the four people scattered across its deck are destined for the higher waves and stronger winds of the open ocean. Her hand drifts, idly sketching out the shape of its triangular sail in the corner of her sketchbook. The pencil moves without her really watching it.
When Lexa said she’d found a vacation spot in Palm Beach, Clarke had expected some resort or other, maybe a few minutes’ walk from the shore. What she got instead was this full on vacation home: more row-house-meets-luxury-condo than the sprawling mansions across the water, its multi-level step-style exterior terraces offer plentiful and surprisingly private sun-drenched decks while shading the glass-paned interior from the daytime heat. The level below them has a propane fire pit, the level below that leads to a small private dock, but this topmost level is host to what has quickly shown itself to be Lexa’s favorite part of the place: her own, personal lap pool.
The pool’s existence is brought back to Clarke’s attention by the sound of splashing water, and she tips her head to watch Lexa begin another set of laps through the blue-tinted lenses of her Aviators. For all its amenities, the waterside home doesn’t have its own gym. Lexa has chosen instead to maintain her workout regimen via swim sessions.
This morning is the first time that Clarke has managed to extricate herself from Kane’s relentless calls–despite her very clear out of office memo on her email, work voicemail, and personal voicemail–in time to join Lexa for a swim. Though “join” is perhaps the wrong word. The pool is long, but also narrow. Clarke would be hard pressed to stay out of Lexa’s way as she freestyles from one end to the other, so instead she’s busied herself with sketching the fishing boats and catamarans that pass below or the herons fishing in a shady forest of seaweed near the dock.
The sun is relentless here in the southern half of Florida. Clarke’s short hair is pulled up as much as physically possible from her neck and though it adds a layer of fabric, the button down Lexa wore the night before now draped around her shoulders is a necessity to avoid a sunburn. But even with the added humidity and lack of long, sand-covered beaches, Clarke feels at home here. She’s been living in bikinis since they arrived (both for convenience’s sake as well as to prove to Lexa that six swimsuits is a perfectly reasonable number to travel with) and while Lexa tiptoes across the deck on the hottest part of the day, Clarke barely feels the heat on the pads of her feet.
It’s not Venice Beach, but it’s certainly closer than miles of asphalt and glass skyscrapers.
A cessation of splashing heralds the end of Lexa’s latest set a few minutes later, and Clarke watches her right herself in the water. She lifts the goggles off her eyes and rests them on her forehead, allowing her to wipe water off her face as she catches her breath. Closer to the far end of the pool than Clarke’s chair, she looks out over the water below; when the catamaran catches her attention, Lexa rests her elbows on the deck to watch it sail by.
Clarke’s pencil starts moving again. The slope of Lexa’s shoulders into her akimbo arms makes a pleasing shape from this angle, the black swimsuit she wears–because even in Florida her penchant for monochrome remains–baring the cuff tattooed on her bicep and the geometric pattern inked down her spine. Clarke knows their details well, can practically recreate them from memory, but the shading of muscle is a preoccupying challenge: the Florida sun throws her triceps into relief, her engaged shoulder blades casting a shadow that makes Clarke flick her tongue against the back of her teeth…
“Have you ever been on one of those?”
Clarke brushes the edge of the dark space she’d just drawn in around the curve of Lexa’s shoulder blade with her thumb, smudging the lead into the perfect shade. As she looks back up for reference, it registers faintly that Lexa has asked her something. “Hmm?”
Something in her expression must betray her, despite her sunglasses: Lexa turns to look at her and immediately raises an amused eyebrow.
She tips her head towards the water. "A catamaran," she says–though the one she indicates is already out of sight.
“Oh.” Clarke pushes her sunglasses back up her nose reflexively. As if the lenses being closer to her eyes will help her process that question better. “I don’t think so. For someone who grew up near an ocean, I haven’t been on many boats. Certainly not as many as you, I’m sure.”
Back to her sketch, she outlines the shape of Lexa’s biceps, flexed slightly against the edge of the pool to keep her top half out of the water. Without looking up, she adds: “Why, am I missing out?”
Clarke spots the suggestion of a shrug from the corner of her eye. "Depends."
She arches an eyebrow at her sketchbook. "On?" She prompts, and Lexa chuckles.
"On what you're into."
Hardly a helpful answer, Clarke elects to let it go without follow-up. Her outline of the cuff tattoo is messing with her ability to get the bicep-into-tricep shading just right…she erases the first attempt and tries a new angle as the pool water begins moving again.
"Most of the boats I've been on take the shape of yachts, rather than catamarans." Lexa's voice is closer now, and Clarke looks up to see her standing right at the pool edge closest to her. Both elbows are up on the pool deck, her hands layered one on top of the other, and she rests her chin against her knuckles to look up at Clarke. The positioning of the sun means she now has to squint, one green eye squished closed against its blaze, but Lexa doesn't seem to mind. "Yachts are great, if you're interested in drinking fancy whiskey and eating five course meals while on the water. Less so, if you'd like to pretend you're a pirate."
Clarke is only half listening. Because Lexa is the kind of sexy that transcends clothing choices. She’s just as likely to make Clarke wet if she’s wearing a button down and a tie as if she were wearing a t-shirt and basketball shorts, and Clarke knows it. And yet still, there is something particularly embarrassing about this exact situation. Because despite the most simple swimsuit Clarke has ever seen; hair pulled back into a soaked-through braid and sticking to her face at odd angles; blue tinted swim goggles pressing into her forehead; somehow Clarke is still squirming in her lounge chair at not just the reality of this scene, but at the mere sketch of it.
It’s embarrassing enough that she refuses to look back up for further reference.
“What if I want to be a pirate and drink fancy whiskey?” she asks, pencil pressed just a little too harshly into the page as she fills in the space around the inside of Lexa’s elbows.
A thoughtful hum precedes Lexa’s answer. “Perhaps…a racer-cruiser?”
Clarke’s embargo on Lexa-looking lasts only a few minutes, as after several moments of silence on Clarke's part Lexa elects to get out of the water. Palms pressed flat to the pool deck, she bounces once before heaving herself bodily upwards–and Clarke, unable to resist glancing at the commotion, is treated to the sight of tanned shoulders flexing and water running rivulets between breasts. She settles her weight on the edge of the pool, torso and hips angled towards Clarke; one leg dangles in the water as she discards her goggles, the other bent casually before her. Clarke’s tongue goes dry.
“Might I ask…” Lexa leans back on her hands and fixes Clarke with a penetrating–if amused–look. “...what has you so enraptured over there?”
Clarke rolls her eyes, already aware that she’ll have to admit what it is she’s doing and how half-finished sketches of palm trees and sailboats have been abandoned in favor of a far too detailed drawing of Lexa’s shoulder blades.
But there’s no reason she has to give in right away.
“It’s a beautiful view,” Clarke shrugs despite feeling heat immediately creep up her cheeks. “Really encourages creativity.”
“Is that what it encourages?”
She refuses to acknowledge the self-satisfied smirk now playing across Lexa’s lips and so is careful to keep her eyes on her paper. Failing to get the rise she desired, Lexa pulls her braid over her shoulder and tries again: “I didn’t realize you were a still-life artist.”
“What sort of artist did you think I am?”
“In my experience…?” She drags the word out unnecessarily before deciding on: “Portraiture.”
Objections arise before Clarke recalls the occupants of several of the sketchbook’s previous pages: Lexa sitting at her desk, wearing a dress shirt and in the midst of a business call despite it being a Saturday; Lexa in profile, reclining on Clarke's couch with a book in her hand and Pip in her lap; an also-too-detailed study of the way the light catches Lexa’s Rolex when she lifts a rocks glass to her lips…
“I can, admittedly, see why you would think that. But believe it or not, I do enjoy drawing other things besides you.”
“Lies.”
A shadow falls over her sketchbook as Lexa stands. She’s been using this time to undo her braid, it seems, and when she leans down to bring her face within kissing distance, drops of water fall from the ends of her hair onto Clarke’s chest. Green eyes move from Clarke’s lips to her eyes and she drops her voice to finish: “What could hold your attention more than I?”
Clarke’s stomach flips at Lexa’s proximity. “How are you always so pleased with yourself?” The darker green flecks of Lexa’s eyes seem to dance as her smirk widens. “Doesn’t having such a big head ever get tiring?”
“It used to, back when hats were an integral part of my wardrobe.” At this angle, there’s little Clarke can do to hide the contents of the page under her hand; all Lexa has to do is look down. And as she finishes, she does. “Life’s gotten simpler since I’ve stopped trying to find the right size.”
“You are annoyingly clever,” Clarke tilts her sketchbook toward Lexa to give her a better view, “and even more annoyingly sexy. Did you know you’re hot even with goggles sticking to your forehead?” She sighs dramatically. “What’s a poor artist to do?”
“Mm.”
For a time, that’s the only response Clarke gets. Water runs in steady rivulets from Lexa’s hair and from her torso, drip…drip…dripping alternately on Clarke’s cover-up or the pool deck as she stands motionless. It isn’t the first time she’s seen Clarke’s sketches of her; on that occasion she’d reacted with a silent shock so profound it took Clarke days to puzzle out its source. After all, it had only been some silly sketch to pass the time, something that ought to have mortified Clarke far more than it shocked Lexa…
Every time since she has reacted in the same way, with a quiet, intense, earnest study of the work more in line with a museum piece than a throwaway sketchbook. But Clarke now knows that study is indicative of the same thing that shock was: Lexa reckoning with the fact that someone would care enough to watch her so carefully, to notice and record the small details of herself that eek out when she isn’t paying attention. To capture her, as she is, and not as the persona she puts on for everyone else.
When she looks again at Clarke, it’s with warmth in her eyes and an affectionate tilt to her lips. A fleeting breathlessness catches Clarke’s lungs in response–and flees immediately as Lexa smirks again and says, “My apologies. I didn’t mean to turn you on.”
Clarke snorts and rolls her eyes. “Please, you are not sorry.”
Lexa’s smirk slowly fades as Clarke reaches up and traces the indents left by the goggles along her forehead. Her fingers trail around her eyes and around to her ears where the straps bit into her skin just enough to keep the goggles stuck in place. “I wonder if it will ever stop feeling like a privilege,” she whispers.
Lexa’s eyebrows knit together in a question that hardly needs asking aloud.
“That I get the real you,” Clarke explains with a smile.
Those eyebrows drop, her eyes go wide, and in a moment…she’s blushing. Lexa Woods is blushing.
She tries to hide it, pushing her cheek into Clarke’s palm and closing her eyes as though doing so would block Clarke’s sight instead of her own, but the pink doesn’t fade from her face or the tips of her ears. Instead, Lexa’s brow knits together.
“Be careful what you wish for,” she says, and Clarke recognizes her sardonic tone for the dodge that it is, “I know for a fact the real me does a number of irritating things.”
“Like,” Clarke grins, “dripping on my sketchbook, maybe?”
“Hm? Shit!”
Lexa jerks back immediately. She steps on her goggles in her haste, and her attempt to not totally crush them in turn nearly sends her toppling back into the pool. Her balance returns with a chorus of “Ow! Shit! Sorry! Sorry!”
“Lexa!” Clarke is laughing so hard, she can barely get the word out. She flips her slightly soggy sketchbook closed and throws it on the lounge chair as she hops to her feet. “Lexa, relax!”
The woman in question is now cursing under her breath, having just barely saved herself from tipping into the pool behind her. Clarke steps into her space and steadies her shoulders. “I was teasing. I have twelve more half-used notebooks at home and twice as many unused ones.”
“They won’t do you much good for the next five days all the back there,” Lexa mutters. She isn’t quite looking at Clarke, opting instead for glaring at the discarded goggles as though they intentionally put themselves under her foot.
“True. Maybe you’re right.” Lexa looks back up at Clarke, half surprised and half contrite. Until she marks the mischievous lilt of Clarke’s smile, but by then it’s far too late. “Maybe you do deserve this.”
Before Lexa can do much more than emit a yelp, Clarke shoves her shoulders and she toppled ass over teakettle back into the pool with a crash.
“The shoving!” she sputters when she breaks the surface a moment later. Clarke is already laughing, but the indignation pouring out of every corner of Lexa’s expression nearly makes her double over. “Always! With! The shoving! Shoving me over things, onto things, into things–Clarke! Stop laughing, water went up my nose!”
It takes Clarke several seconds to collect herself and even then the words are barely recognizable. “Are you trying to say that you dislike when I shove you onto things?”
“I–” Lexa was really warming up for a scolding when a thought visibly strikes her with all the sudden force of a bolt of lighting. She cuts herself off, and Clarke chuckles.
“Mm, that’s what I thought. So,” she makes her way back around the pool, taking her time. As she knew they would, Lexa’s eyes follow her every move despite her would-be protestations. When she makes it to the short steps down into the pool, she shrugs out of her cover up and discards it on a nearby chaise. “Can I assume your workout is over?”
The pool is only three and a half feet deep, but Lexa sinks until water washes over her shoulders. “I was considering another few laps,” she says. It’s so clearly a lie it doesn’t even merit acknowledgement: Clarke dips one foot in the water and can feel her rapturous attention. “Unless you had a better proposition.”
Today’s bikini is, to put it simply, very small and very red. Clarke hadn’t planned to do much swimming and the smaller the swimsuit, the thinner the tan lines. But she’s nothing if not game for a little improvisation.
“I may. Though I’d hate to interrupt your very dedicated,” she inhales sharply as the cold water hits her bare stomach, “workout regimen.”
She can practically hear Lexa’s gulp from here. It’s the way her jaw tenses, the way she rakes her eyes over the goosebumps now peppering Clarke’s skin–the way she draws closer while hardly moving, a planet captured in the gravitational pull of her star.
“I’m very dedicated to other things,” she answers. Once she’s within arms reach, a mere few inches away, she rises out of the water to stand at her full height. “Even more dedicated, in some cases.”
How does that look in Lexa’s eyes, even now, never fail to make Clarke’s stomach flip? “Is that so?” she asks. It’s easy enough to step into Lexa’s space. Her fingers close around Clarke’s hips instinctually to pull her closer.
Clarke’s heart hammers in her chest but her hands are steady. Dating Lexa Woods is, in many ways, simply getting used to one’s body reacting to her; the way Clarke’s eyes are drawn to her without thought in any room, or the riotous response of her heart to every touch. She wraps an arm around Lexa’s waist and trails a wet finger up her abdomen to her chest. Green eyes fix onto Clarke, dark and hungry.
“Why don’t you prove it?” Clarke whispers, and the green seems to almost dance with energy in response.
A brief bob low into the water, a quick shifting of hands from hips to thighs, and it’s an easy enough thing for Lexa to rise to stand again with Clarke’s legs hooked around her waist. The buoyancy of the water makes this much easier than normal–so much so that Lexa uses just one hand to steady Clarke’s weight, using the other to carefully pluck Clarke’s Aviators from her face.
“Oh, my darling…” she sighs, and her eyes roam. Clarke is happy to drape her arms around Lexa’s strong shoulders as she wades to the edge of the pool. She looks away just long enough to ascertain that she’s safely put the sunglasses down before her eyes return to Clarke’s collarbones, her neck, her cleavage, right there and glistening with a light sheen of sweat and tanning oil…Lexa keeps wading, and has returned to the center of the pool by the time she meets Clarke’s eyes again.
“I hope you know,” she murmurs, using the same, damp hand to brush at the curls that have escaped Clarke’s hair tie, “just how much I love you.”
Several thoughts then occur in rapid succession: a rush of warm feelings and affection, followed by the somewhat puzzling observation that Lexa is holding her breath, and then the panicked realization that she should probably be holding her breath too–right before Lexa tips backwards and uses her body weight to drag them both under the water.
For a few seconds, anyway.
“Are you fucking kidding me?!”
Somehow, Lexa still has a hold on Clarke. ‘Somehow’ because Clarke has absolutely flailed enough to dissuade even the most stalwart captor. Lexa might have been kicked in the stomach at least twice; certainly Clarke hopes she was.
“I am going to fucking kill you–Lexa, stop laughing!” Except now, despite her best efforts, Clarke is laughing too. “Do you know how long it takes to make my hair look like this??”
“Approximately three seconds, if I counted right!” Lexa laughs, pulling her head back as though doing so would save her from Clarke’s flailing. She does manage to take slightly less water to the face. “Oh, sorry, you meant before I dunked it under water.”
“You are so,” Clarke wraps her legs around Lexa’s torso again, “fucking,” and tightens them around her rib cage until she gasps, “insufferable.” She wraps both hands around Lexa’s neck, raking her fingers up into her hair. “Do you know that?”
Though all of the above may be enough to make Lexa wince, it does nothing to erase her smile. With a strained voice she says, “On the contrary, I’d say you suffer me just fine.”
Clarke rolls her eyes but it doesn’t have the scathing effect it so often carries. Her curls are, as always, holding buckets of water and a few quick shakes of her head sends it all flying at Lexa’s face. She squints and attempts to pull away, but there’s nowhere to go with Clarke wrapped so thoroughly around her–and, Clarke can tell, she isn’t trying very hard.
“You’re lucky I love you,” Clarke mutters. Lexa’s expression still, without fail, lights up when she says those words. Clarke has wondered if that will ever go away–she hopes not. “I hope you plan to make this up to me.”
Lexa hums as she ultimately settles for resting her weight back, using gentle sweeps of her arms to keep both of their heads above water and leaving Clarke to hold onto her as she pleases. Perhaps just to demonstrate that she does, in fact, know, she says, “Well, seeing as fixing your hair would require another forty-five minutes’ worth of effort, I’m debating saving you the work and canceling our dinner plans for tonight. I’ll make dinner for us here instead, and that way...we can take our time.”
“So very generous of you.” Clarke raises an eyebrow as Lexa’s meaning fully sinks in. “Take our time with wha—mm.”
Lexa doesn’t let her finish her thought, much less her sentence. Her lips are wet and taste of chlorine and lip balm, but Clarke hardly cares. It’s a relief akin to breathing; she’s been desperate to kiss her, to touch her, since Lexa started talking about whatever nonsensical categorization of boats she’d gone on about earlier. And, as usual, it feels as though Lexa felt much the same.

My parents decided to go to Cabo San Lucas for spring break. It landed during my fifteenth birthday so it would double as a birthday retreat as well.
So here we were Angela, Silas and Katrina Easton getting off the Easton Jet. I was lagging with my best friend since I was seven Hayes Eldridge.
It had been extremely overcast in New York but not here. It was hot and extremely sunny.
“Oh, come on Lynnie. It is a vacation!” Hayes said with his southern accent.
“Maybe for you, but the Easton’s are trying to purchase the resort, so all business for them.” I said rolling my eyes trying to get my bag out of the overhead compartment.
“Let me” he said reaching up and letting our hands brush for a second making the spot feel warm.
“Thanks” I said smiling.
“So, in this scenario you aren’t an Easton? He asked as he took my bag and his own.
Nope, Daddy says I am not until my first kill” I said walking carefully down the stairs and going to meet the others.
“Oh, right” Hayes nodded.
He had his first kill already this past December. His father brought him a present that he couldn’t resist. He was quiet when he came back to St. Andrews. It took me days to pry it out of him.
Not me though, I had already started vampire puberty as my parents and sister would tell me. I would get times when my throat burned, and I would see red. I did not want to kill anyone though, so I ignore it.
“There you two are” my dad said giving me a hug even though he had seen me not two minutes ago.
“Thank you, Silas, for letting me come. Cabo beats the outer banks where my family goes” Hayes said smiling.
“Not a problem at all. You are part of the family, my boy” my dad said getting in the car.
“Wouldn’t that be incest dear sister?” Katrina whispered in my ear.
I was the only one that heard her. She liked it that way. She knew Hayes and I were just friends even though I wanted more.
We all got into the limo, and I looked out the window.
“Alright listen up Lynnie. Today is the ninetieth. We have the rest of the day to check in to the resort then you and Hayes can fend for yourselves tomorrow, but Saturday we are hosting a banquet at the resort to announce the merger as well as celebrate your birthday” my mother said in her stern voice.
I just nodded thinking even my birthday was second rate.
After we had checked into the resort, we all ate dinner then Katrina disappeared as per usual. Hayes and I played connect four until we were both too tired. He was too tired to go to his room, so he slept in mine. It wasn’t unusual. We had grown up together, but now since I had developed feelings it was difficult to concentrate
After tossing and turning I got up to get water.
“Hey you, okay? Hayes asked groggily.
“Yea just… “I stopped mid-sentence because I didn’t know what to tell him.
He got up and came over to me “Is it your throat again?” He asked assuming it was my blood lust and not just lust.
“I just looked at him trying to smile.
He hugged me “You can’t hold out forever”
“I can try” I said muffled through his chest.
The next day we went to Playa El Médano the main beach in Cabo. It was nice to just relax. I buried Hayes in the sand, then we splashed in the ocean. It was like old times.
We ate lunch then went back to the resort to take showers. We had decided to go to a bar that was loose on ID’s.
I got dressed in a mini dress and sky-high boots, I put on make up that made me look like Katrina’s age.
“Wow” Hayes said as he walked out of his hotel room.
I looked at him and his sandy blonde hair was still damp from the shower, but he was dressed nice in a blue shirt and jeans. He made jeans look classically cool.
He extended his arm, and I took it. “You look nice too by the way” I said as we got in the elevator.
“I always do” He said smirking.
“Cocky” I said playfully hitting him on the shoulder.
“Ow” he teased.
We had no problems getting served at the bar. I saw Katrina in the corner with a few guys. She waved and I turned away.
After the second shot nothing could hurt me. “Lets dance!” I said to Hayes.
“Yes Ma’am” he said taking my hand and leading to the dance floor.
In the distance I felt eyes watching me. I wrapped my hands on Hayes neck and swayed to the music. We were looking intently at each other. I would move and he would counter my movements perfectly.
“Hey baby can I cut in?” the eyes finally had a face. He was tall and had to be at least eighteen.  He wasn’t Hayes cute, however he was attractive.
“I’m with someone” I mumbled.
Hayes tightened his grip on me instinctively.
“I can do more than him” He said confident.
Just then the breeze from the open door gave me a whiff of his scent. God, he smelled delicious. I looked at him and his neck was exposed, and I saw the vein pulsating.
I saw red. I could not think of anything but his blood coursing through my veins.
“Lynnie keep control” Hayes almost growled in my ear.
I let his hand go and silently took the stranger’s hand out of the club into the back alleyway.
I heard Hayes call after me begging for me to come back but blood was on my mind. I could feed like my parents then spell him to forget.
One sip, a simple taste.
“Yea baby! Let’s party” He said.
I pushed him against the wall. He kissed me hard on the mouth. It tasted like booze and sweat. I kept my eyes on his neck.
The burn in my throat was intense now because I was so close to human blood. It knew somehow.
I pulled away from his mouth and he pulled my body closer. I again smelled the sweet aroma of his blood. My vision was blurred now.
I felt a rain drop as well. My affinity was weather. I hadn’t harnessed it yet, but a seer had said that’s what my affinity was.
It began to pour when I pulled my face away and then it happened all at once. My fangs appeared but he wasn’t paying attention
Just a taste Lynnie
I reared my head back and sank my teeth into his neck, right at the vein. At first it was slow. The pressure barely pierced his skin. Then the sweet crimson began to flow from him to me. It made my entire body relax. The burn was gone but the thirst I felt was no match for his screams.  I sank my teeth in more and drained every drop of his life. He fell in a puddle of the storm I had created.
I looked at the man and tried to get his attention.
He could not be dead.
One taste, right?
I looked at myself and the front of my dress was drenched in his blood, my mouth I quickly wiped the remanences of blood smears and felt hot tears in my eyes.
I had to get out of here, but I felt paralyzed in the rain.
“She’s here” came a familiar voice.
Hayes came to me wrapping me with his strong arms and Katrina was behind him already on her phone.
“We need to go” Hayes said “Lynnie can you move?”
I nodded and we ran to the other side of the street then the car came, and we got inside.
Katrina got in behind us and told the driver to go fast to the resort.
We rode in silence. I had began shaking and Hayes kept me close. Katrina took my hand as we stopped. My parents were inside waiting for us.
“Lynnie, you are all right. You are safe now” my dad said hugging me tightly.
We then went to my parents’ suite and after the door was bolted shut, my mother spoke.
Emberlynn, you did nothing wrong, you hear me?” she said firmly
“I killed him” I said quietly. “What are we going to go?” I asked looking up at my parents and sister.
“We have a clean up crew already dumping the body where no one can find him.”
Hayes sat down next to me.” It’s alright Lynnie”
“I killed him” I said leaning on his shoulder.
“You are a legacy vampire. You completed your birth right. You had your first kill. Now let us celebrate!”   my father said beaming at me.

I survived triimeri!!!!
Final thoughts!!!
I am well rested , i am well fed , i am slowly starting to come to my senses , heres the final opinion .
It was fine . It was very very low key and very chill . The clubs were mostly empty besides us being there , and after i had my fill of dancing i went outside either way , so i has very relaxed through and through . They didnt let us have any alchohol in the club either which was godsent because i dont do well with too much alchohol and loud music. We didn't party to much at the resort either it was very relaxed and layed back . My friend groop was bitching and moaning and acting like bitches and fighting for some reason that i havent yet understood and i did not want to be around that drama so i ditched them and went with this girl i used to crush on , soft butch lesbian stoner ,and the guy i post about a lot saying im in love with him and such and such and went and found his friends and we mostly just drank a bit of wine the first nigh and talked a bit , most people were asleep by 4 .
I stayed with the guy and we talked , and he sayed he wants us to hook up again like we had last year but it was so unbelivably akward last year so i told him no . Anyway we talked some more and got cold a bit so he ended up going inside to his room , which had an empty double bed and a single bed with some dude sleeping in it . I asked its its ok that we sleep in the same bed and he said sure and we layed down laying still for about five muinyed before he asked me if i wanted to cuddle . I told him he is the most important person in my life , he told me he loves me , that he cant function without me , that he missed me so much and that he wants us to be friends again . He hald be very very tight and wouldn't let me go . I asked if i could move a bit because i was very hot and sweting and about to pass out from the heat and he have me a very sad " oh ok we can stop cuddling then " which lasted for about five muintes before he started shaking and whining and looking like he was about to cry and he griped my waisted pulled me close and begged me not to leave . Begged . He begged me not to leave . Killing myself over it. I also tryed to ignore his boner pressing against my leg the entire time . He said that we wants to be just friends and i agree but like . Your dick is stabinh my abdomen rn . Anyway i do really love him more than anything but i hate myself to much to be actually convi ced the really loves me back and he isnt just capping . I also didnt sleep a wink the entire night . I didnt sleep at all for 48 hours .
The second night people bought vodkas and got wasted by 8 pm and we did short of all go into panic mode trying to get them to pull it together but we gave them food and water and bathed them and they relaxed eventually . Me and the lesbian and the guy ditched the rest of his friends and they slept in my room . The guy collapsed into a single bed imidietly and wouldnt get up. I slept next to him in another single bed that was pressed right next to it and the lesbian slept in a double that was also pressed right nextto the two singles . Me and the guy cuddled a bit and then he pushed me away i think idk i was sleep deprived and i didnt really understand. There was a great deal o debate over who pushed who away but it was probably me because i cannot sleep cuddled up like that i need my space . Anyway i slept maybe a good 3 hours .
Also The resort was great. I almost felt as if i was camping . We stayed in little bungalows instead of a hotel which defenetly gave it more of a chill relaxed vibe because because we would be allowed to roam around ouside more unlike last year when we could only go out on tiny little balconies. It also ment that was just a bunch of little white and blue houses near the beach , very greek island but not so much so it was touristy . The place was amazing. So lovely . The beach was beutiful but small , perfect for a bit of a chat and a smoke with a small circle or friends . The view was even more amazing . Just endless horizon with mykonos right across from us. Our bungalow had a balcony that faced the sea , and i woke up at six once and stayed out smoking watching the sun rise through the waves while sitting . We also happened to share that balcony with a teacher and she sat next to me and smoked while we watched the sun rise
Over all i had a great time . It was fun but not too fun . Im lowley freaking out over the deal with the guy but im sure ill get over it . Great success!!!
