Team Reign’s science is advancing and they tried to test the latest version of their mind control venom on the treasures of ruin. At first it worked, or that’s what it looked like, but the four Pokémon quickly fought off the mind control and is now roaming Paldea, causing damage to the region

Naranja-Uva academy usually wasn’t filled with this many people, especially people who weren’t students or staff.

It was also not this busy with activities. Students and staff were going about helping elderly people and those who had to evacuate from their homes. Anyone who wasn’t a student had their eyes glued to their rotom phones or the TV set up in the main hall, at the news being broadcasted across all TV channels in Paldea.

“Four Pokémon who seem to be legendary Pokémon are attacking Paldea. This morning citizens were rudely awakened by a loud roar and destruction as the pokemon started attacking homes, forcing many to evacuate.”

“Currently Medali, Levincia, Alfornada, and Los Platos are considered danger zones, local rangers warning all to stay away from those areas. Naranja-Uva academy in Mesagoza is considered an evacuation point, with many already staying or heading there.”

On the second floor, in the corner of the room, were four trainers and a flutter mane that definitely looked like they didn’t belong here. Tourists.

“When you said pokemon were on a rampage I didn’t expect legendary Pokémon, and four of them too.” Eden said as Siren put her rotom phone away. “I thought it was like a mass gathering of Pokémon going out of hand but not this.”

The constellia squad was in different places in Paldea when the legendaries attacked. Siren was at Fury falls, Ai was at Paldea’s highest point, and the researcher duo was at Levincia.

“You think Regina is the one behind this?” Siren asked, turning to Ai. To not alert anyone else of the possibility that an evil team caused this, they agreed to refer to team Reign by their possibly leader’s real name; Regina Twist.

Paldea, August 9th, 6.00am It was the early morning, where not many would be awake, or outside. Unless you were Team Reign. The members of Team Reign were out and about in Paldea since 4am. No one liked waking up early, but it was Hivemind’s orders, can’t complain with someone with such high scientific knowledge. They’ve been hunting down stakes, pulling them out of the ground. You would think someone would properly hide these stakes or use a more obscure method to secure four very powerful legendaries. But nothing was impossible for Team Reign. “Last stake for this shrine!” A grunt called out, hands covered in some black dust like substance. A white panther like creature with swords for fangs emerged from the now unsealed shrine. The team reign members were quick to surround it, by the time they cleared a strange harness was around the panther’s head. ”So, that’s one down?” Another grunt asked as the panther like Pokémon stared at the grunts. They knew if this went well, Chien Pao would have no desire to attack, but a desire to follow their orders. “By the time we get back to Hivemind, everything will be in order.” The first grunt answered, before noticing a commotion near Chein Pao “What’s going on there?” ”Chein Pao isn’t listening to us!” Someone in the chaos answered, dodging a move from the Pokémon. The grunts all fled. They were evil, but at least they had a sense of when to retreat.

I'm thinking of the incredibly vital role Rhaenyra was given after her mother died, becoming the first ever female heir to the iron throne.

How revolutionary this was, and what an opportunity it presented for all women in Westeros (outside of Dorne).

How the sexist society she lived in was less than pleased of this title and how happy it would have been to strip her of it. And how easy Rhaenyra made it for them to do so.

She knew the importance of the title she bore, she knew that every noble man in the continent would look for anything to discredit her because of mysogyny, she knew that how she behaved would determine whether or not women would ever be considered capable of taking the weight of the crown and rule.

And she completely fumbled the bag by:

Being extremely rude and bratty to all of her suitors, refusing her arranged marriage, obviously cheating of her husband and claiming her bastards were true born, murdering said husband so she could marry her uncle (who has a terrible reputation) days after his own wife's death.

What was she thinking?

Didn't she even bother to wonder what the realm would think of her unlawful actions?

She literally proved the sexist society right, by being the most scandalous princess she could be, and that only solidified in the minds of everyone in Westeros that if you put a woman in a position of power she's gonna abuse it to do whatever she wants.

The girlboss black queen is the reason why no other Targaryen woman ever sat the iron throne after her, as her scandals and treachery turned the population against the mere though of a female ruler, in fear of having a new "Maegor with teats".

oedipus killed his dad and fucked his mom. polynices and eteocles killed each other because they wanted to be king. agammemnon was ordered to sacrifice his own daughter. clytemnestra killed an innocent woman and ill-treated her children for years afterwards. orestes was goaded by elektra into murdering their mother. achilles murdered hector and desecrated his body. medea murdered a shitton of people including her own children.

one of the main draws of greek tragedies is that there aren't bright lines of "good" and "evil", it's about human people with flaws that exacerbate the situations they're in and lead to devastating consequences. oedipus's hotheadedness, medea's mild sociopathy, polynices and eteocles's lust for power, achilles and clytemnestra's rage, the tyranny and indifference of the gods themselves. that is what makes the greek tragedy so incredibly compelling even thousands of years after they were written, and why some of the great tragedies from later eras (shakespeare's tragedies, american canon tragedies like death of a salesman or the crucible) are still so inspired by that fundamental "the characters are flawed and those flaws are their downfalls regardless of inherent good or evil within them" type of storytelling.

and if you've been studying and analyzing greek texts and are not in fact just talking out of your ass for twitter points about the dragon incest show and you genuinely think that greek tragedies have clear cut "good guys" and "bad guys" then you are two steps away from being brain dead and i'm shocked you're allowed online access without adult supervision. also idk how to tell you that ancient greece was in fact quite misogynistic soooooooooooo. but i think op is just stupid.

Something that manages to trip me out every single time I see it is those fan works, posts, etc. about the Targtowers betraying the Green side for the Blacks.

Literally all of the major Greens (including Alicent) are victim to this and it makes no sense.

Aemond is who arguably is used the most for these trope and he is probably the least likely to go behind Alicent or Aegon's backs. He's envious, cruel, and overall a fiend, but he isn't disloyal to his family. He is ambitious but he does not ever try to covet what he believes belongs to his brother. Of all the Targtowers, he's the one closest to Alicent and Cole—two very influential players in the war. He would not betray them over love or believing in Rhaenyra's more legitimate claim to the throne.

Helaena wouldn't betray them either. It's clear she doesn't have the best relationship with her mother and Aegon, but they are still closer to her than Rhaenyra, who's practically a stranger to her. We can also assume that she gets along fairly well with Otto (he applauds her and he's one of the two people she interacts w during The Last Supper™️) and Aemond (she touches him). Helaena also has her children. I think she cares about them too much to jeopardize them by choosing to be a hostage for the Blacks.

As for Aegon... be real. Aegon does not want to be king in neither F&B or HOTD. He takes on the job because (like almost everyone else) he is convinced he & his entire family will die at the hands of Rhaenyra's faction if she becomes queen.

Daeron is a pretty forgotten character overall, but I do see people who haven't read the books think of him as "the good one" and say he should've been on the other side, but Daeron is not entirely unlike his brothers. He clearly looks up to them and hates the Strong boys. Daeron throwing a drink at Hugh Hammer's face when he put him up at Aegon's expense says enough about his character.
