・Johnny had made you absolutely swoon for months, but you were too hesitant to do anything about it. Your insecurities held you back.

・How could someone as gorgeous as this man, nay, god, even look your way.

・But he was looking your way, and crushing so bad that you were all he could think about.

・You found a lot of solace in each other, swapping phone numbers and texting constantly. Johnny's first message was: "heyy bonnie, how'd ye day go? ❤️"

・It took you nearly an hour to reply because all your brain could do was short circuit

・But over the years you became friends, then lovers, moving in together. All while he was still going on missions.

・He took you to meet his family after 3 months of proper dating, and he was so proud to show you off.

"Aye this is she!," he said (yelled) presenting you to his large family. (They didn't believe you existed).

・Your relationship with Johnny has always been based on honesty and humour. You know you can rely on him for anything, even if he can be a bit fookin' cheeky.

・Johnny had told you about his teammates (once he realised you were the person for him).

・And you quickly noticed the way he would speak different about his Lieutenant. Simon Riley.

・A crush...

・You had no issue with it. Crushes were normal, and you knew Johnny was faithful. You also knew Johnny was much to apprehensive to do anything with Simon.

・But one day, when you were picking Johnny up on the tarmac, after a grueling 3 months away. Simon watched as you ran into Johnny's arms. Kept watching as he spun you around, buring his face in your neck.

"Johnny..." you whimpered, pressing soft kisses all over his face.

"Aye, it's me bonnie. Couldn't get rid of me if you tried."

・Tears were in both of your eyes and Simon had to close his own. Swallowing a lump down his throat.

・After you and Johnny had left, Simon stayed in his car for upto 2 hours. Staring out the frontshield window. Confused as fuck.

・How could he fall in love with a person he'd never spoken to? In his deeper, most inner self, he knew he loved Johnny too.

・And when he arrived 'home,' he shucked off his clothes and stayed in the shower. Sitting, letting the water mix with his tears. He would give anything. Anything, to be with you both. But he knew that was ridiculous.

・Surprise. It wasn't ridiculous.

・When you got home, instantly you brought up Johnny's superior.

"Eh, wha' about him, bonnie?" Johnny asked suspiciously, opening the fridge door.

"He likes you."

All you got in response was an eye roll.

"Johnny," there was something in your voice which made him look at you.

"As a ... teammate. As a friend, aye. Yes. Not as anything more."

"I like him too," you cooed. Walking over to the blue-eyed Scotsman.

・He smirked, grabbed your waist and pulled you close, "don't go pryin'."

・You went prying.

・But didn't have to go too far, because Simon was never too far away.

・You bumped into him many times, both with and without Johnny.

・It all came to a head, when your car stopped working and you needed a ride home.

・Simon was more than happy to help.

・Johnny nearly fainted when he opened the door. His partner and his teammate stood in the doorway, a cheeky - almost sheepish smile on yours.

・No matter how hard Simon tried to leave, you made him stay ... and stay he did. You made his tea perfect on the first try.

・Always a dog pile when it's time to go to bed. Arms and legs are splayed over whoever. You might start in the middle but by the morning you're completely on top of Simon while Johnny uses your bum as a pillow

・It took 6 months for Simon to move in. And he brought Riley with him as well. Your cats weren't too happy about that ...

・It's a silent agreement that no one uses the boys' call signs. It's always their real names or pet names.

・Simon and Johnny like to keep their work away from their home life as much as possible.

・On deployment, Johnny and Simon have both agreed that home with you is their solace. You are their person.

・And speaking of being on the same task force; you made Johnny and Simon sit down (with their favourite beverages) to talk it out. Sometimes they wanted you there, other times you knew they needed to be alone.

・But encouraging communication made both men a lot less scared to express their feelings. Even if you could be quite ... aggressive.

"Look, Johnny...it's uh, hard to say... but-"

"No, no, I ken what ye mean-"

"Ah! Let him say it Johnny!" You yelled from another room.

Johnny sighed, blushed and sat straighter in his chair.

"Uh. Yeah well," Simon started to sweat. This was worse than an interrogation.

But before Simon could finish, Johnny just bellowed out in a very gruff Scottish accent, "I love ye Simon Riley!"

And Simon never thought he would feel as elated as he did in that moment.

Until you rounded the corner, sat on Johnny's lap and blushed. "We, love you Simon Riley."

i'll be doing this for the gemini heist. this is the description Gabi gives of Euna the first time she appears in the story.

Carrying a large crate right behind Leo was Euna Li, surveying the hall with wide-eyed wonder like a child on their first trip off their home planet. She stood an inch or two taller than Leo, and the way the sleeves of her orange jacket fit snugly around her shoulders and upper arms betrayed their brawny build, but in this moment, tagging behind Leo, she seemed a lot less dangerous than she really was. Her straight hair, falling just below her shoulders, had been dyed a bright pink when Gabi had first met her, but the dye had since faded, leaving the bleached hair underneath an unnatural shade of peach that clashed with the dark roots that were beginning to show at her scalp. Her sleeves were rolled up just enough to give a peak of her sleek, cybernetic arm, made of white plastic and accented with pink lining, which was installed just above Euna’s right elbow. Now that Leo had her back to her, Gabi couldn’t help but allow her gaze to linger on Euna’s face— rounded chin, small flat nose, rosy cheeks, and cupid lips. Lips that curved into a tiny smile as Euna’s brown eyes lowered from the ceiling and locked with Gabi’s. Gabi quickly hid her warming face behind the screen of her datapad. They weren’t supposed to know each other here, after all.

omg pls share more about mennonite winter camp, i’ve never heard of winter camp, this is fascinating

Well when I was 10 11 12 and other such ages I would sometimes get sent to a camp for mennonite children in the winter time. Due to my parents being mennonites (normal kind, not Amish at all) it was very much church camp and aspects of it were weird and culty but I had funnnnn I look back on those weeks fondly. Lots of starlit walks in the frigid woods and hot chocolate themed camaraderie. You know how it is in the midwest

Have you ever been bullied or at least get called names before?

oh yes. middle and high school come to mind. some of the worst memories ever. i felt like there was something wrong with me in middle school but nope. undiagnosed autism. well technically not since i was diagnosed at three but i never knew for a majority of my life cuz i was adopted

maybe that's why i latch onto characters (many whom are autistic coded) who are outcasts because that's literally how it feels when ur autistic

I think stereotypes are harmful and we should avoid them when creating characters but I swear to God sometimes you gotta ignore it to make an interesting character. "Don't make gay villians." "Your darkest character shouldn't be the most aggressive" "Don't make a crazy woman" BUT SOMETIMES IT'S FUNNNNN. The thing is you need to be good at writing and also have the minority you're writing behind the character as well. I love Kat Elliot from Wendell and Wild and she's the darkest there and pretty angry all the time but she's written WELL and the people behind her were writing from a place in there hearts. Professor Venomous and Lord Boxman are gay villians but being gay isn't an evil thing because there are also gay heros in ok ko! And Professor Venomous and Boxman are also explored as characters and not to be only evil on screen all the time. I LOVE WOMAN CHARACTERS WHO KILL! It could be written so well, one of my fav shows that my friend introduced me too recently is "Why women kill" and it's so well written and all those women have problems HAHAHAA.

I think you just have to hold these things with care when writing a character. Because it's nice to see characters outside of the stereotypes! And I appreciate them too! But completely avoiding every possible stereotype can lead to a lot of samey stories and casts and when it comes to writing these characters, you just have to write them well and put people who can portray these characters well in the writing process.

3. Favorite musical artist / group you started listening to this year?

Hard to pick just one but probably Rogér Fakhr (: I fell in love with his music for sooo many reasons. His funk influenced folk songs helped me cope with so many feelings this year...and were/still are a safe place for me. Allow me to mention another unexpected yet marvelous discovery which was Akritas (psychedelic/progressive rock project from Greece) because MAN. This band's one and only album has so much to give...fusion, progressive, rock influences and so on...why the hell was this little gem forgotten... anyway sorry for ending up rambling on weird ass greek music once again :/

13. How was your birthday this year?

I don't really like celebrating my birthday but this year I had a pizza with my fam :]

22. Favourite place you visited this year?

Ngl I barely visited places this year, but I went to a lake nearby in March to spend the day with a few american students and we had soooo much funnnnn and ate a lot. Was impressed by the amount of alcohol some of them were able to manage but god it was fun. We also cooked local dishes together and sang Dolly Parton together we had such a good time <:) tee hee

What’s your favourite x files episode?

OK SO too many to choose but 5 shout outs

HOME (s4, e2) bc I remember when I was growing up my dad had all the dvds of the series and i remember that season 4 was the ONLy one that was rated 18 bc of that episode. so the rest of the episodes/seasons were like 12/15 so my dad was like u can watch the x files but dont watch home. but then we watched it bc it's his favourite. every time i talk to him about the x files he tells me EVERYTIME that it's the only episode to never be repeated in broadcast bc it's so spooky and because it's one of the most fucked up episodes

X-COPS (s7, e12) bc its so fucking funnnnn like at season 7 we're still loving it and having a lot of fun but u know...its the 7th season of a show so maybs we're gettin a lil bored BUT THIS EPISODE IS SO FUCKING FUN and i love it. u can tell how much fun the actors were having and it's just great i watch it all the time

TERMS OF ENDEARMENT (s6, e7) i feel like this one is neglected but its the one w demon babies and bruce campbell and I love this one because the //twist// at the end fully got me and also Fox is like peak in this episode

BLOOD (s2, e3) id say i rewatch this one the most, i think it's well ahead of it's time and it's just an absolutely mint episode

THE POST-MODERN PROMETHEUS (s5, e5) its a classic and i think everyone agrees its one of the best episode. also, Cher?????????????????????????????????

13. Talk about a writing experience that has pleasantly surprised you. I will always talk about God Eater. I have done a few collabs and I have a few others in the works but I think something a little magical happened with God Eater. We had a little bit of a rough start (neither of us knew what the other’s writing looked like, and we had no idea what we were doing, and we had no plan and Regulus was just being a little moody bitch), but the moment Regulus and James met, @greenvlvetcouch and I set ourselves on fire? I think we reached a point when they met where we were like “wait hold on this is going to be great and we can do this”? 

And I think the beauty of it is that what you’re reading is a Jegulus story, but it’s also Green and I becoming good friends. By the end we were both trying to one-up each other, dropping a 1K in the doc like “bitch be ready” and losing our minds. 

I mean, we got matching god eater tattoos, that’s how crazy the experience was. And so now we have this silly little story and a really good friendship. 

I will never not like god eater, because there is some of my best writing in it, but also because it brought me Green. I’m being sappy but also 100% honest.

20. What is your favorite trope to write?

I love a good enemies-to-lovers trope. I think the dynamic is so DAMN interesting. I also love (shocker I know) meet-cutes, which is 90% of my one-shots. They’re so fun fun fun funnnnn I love them.

41. What is the weirdest story idea you’ve ever had.

God I had to think hard about that one. I don’t really have weird story ideas for fanfiction. 

Actually, that’s not true I lied. I just lied straight to your face. Yesterday I was hungover and started writing something in the metro. 

I’m ace, and I’ve had some really fucking weird dates, and all of them have always ended up with me feeling inadequate and weird and wrong somehow. And I decided to self-therapeutise myself. I’m going to start this weird thing where I write the start of the date, where it went wrong, and then I’m going to fix it. Because it’s going to soothe me and I need it. I’m going to fanfictionise it. 

So anyway ace Regulus is coming.

I have no idea exactly what format this is going to take, and I think it’s fucking weird but it’s happening anyway. I think it might soothe my inner child, I don’t know. I’m tired of feeling inadequate. I think maybe it might help me, to allow myself to rewrite the narrative in a way that’s less depressing for me. 

I don't talk a lot about the sad things about being ace, but being misunderstood is a big one for me. Dates always think I'm teasing and being a snob. I'm not, I just don't know how to function in an over-sexualised society. Anyway I could talk about this for hours so imma stop here.

OMGGGGGG OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY

before you reached this final plot, what were the first planned major/somewhat major plot points, and how did they change over time while writing?

(sorry, idk if this doesn’t make sense, i’ll try to explain again if you don’t understand lol)

um yeah basically anything about your planning stage (like, your notes, anything really!)

OOOO FUNNNNN OK I HAVE SO MANY ABANDONED PLOT IDEAS

-ok so in the original draft of mine to subdue there was never meant to be a sequel so it was going to be a thing where another person was captured by the redcoats in the same way alexander was and it was the revolutionary set's mission to rescue them and alexander dealt with his trauma in that way. then, the guy was going to turn up dead (with obvious signs of what happened to alexander having happened to him) and cause the really bad spiral that we see at the end of mine to subdue. this was going to deal a lot more heavily with survivor's guilt and having intense ptsd while on the move. like i had a scene i really liked where they were infiltrating a British camp and alexander starts freaking out and we had a fun silenced panic attack moments. but then i wanted to include characters from act 2 and means to go on was born and this was inevitably scrapped

-another mine to subdue abandoned plot was having the guy john killed's friend in the first few chapters be wayyyy more important than he was. so like i kind of wanted to hint at a romance between these two characters and have the friend really messed up over his death to the point he actually became a traitor. like he actually despised alexander and john so much that he began giving intel to the British about them. This ended with him being a part of a kidnapping plot to retake Alexander and Alexander promptly stabbing the friend to death in a really dark, panicky, gorey scene. This was going to be a moment where Alexander's downward mental spiral really became evident (the first draft had alexander being more unhinged than in the actual series. believe me, the current alexander is definitely more calm now)

-something i kind of touched on in mine to subdue was alexander's insecurity and jealousy over john and eliza being together and misunderstanding their intentions, but that was much more intense originally. Alexander was a lot more toxic (i mean hamboy was traumatized so he had a bit of an excuse but still). It ended with john and alexander getting in a huge fight, but i thought it made alexander seem really unlikeable and ooc so i cut it down for the most part. you can still see remnants of it throughout tho!!

-I WAS GOING TO HAVE THE REDCOATS BURN DOWN SCHUYLER MANSION OH MY GOD. it was such a dark scene y'all like redcoats broke in and it's only alexander and the sisters home. they immediately start accosting the girls and being very slimy and icky toward them. alexander needs to do something but he can't bc of his ptsd and he's frozen. THEN IT GETS WORSE BC THEY RECOGNIZE ALEXANDERRRRR. omg just thinking about this chapter still makes me feel gross bc omggg it was so bad. ok so then they say how they've heard of alexander's "services" and how they've always wanted to be pleasured like a king. they say they'll leave if he just gives them a taste of him (ew) and they command alexander down on his knees. AND THEN HE DOES IT BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY WAY HE KNOWS TO DEFEND THEM AT THIS POINT. AND EVERYONE IS JUST BEING HELD BY THE GUARDS THERE FREAKING OUT. OMGGG I'M NOT GOING TO GET INTO MUCH MORE OF IT BC I DON'T WANT TO POST THAT HERE but after it's over they think they're safe when they first smell the smoke. and then it dissolves into chaos. it felt a bit too dark (that's a lot coming from me) and i honestly didn't know how alexander would carry on after that when he was already so traumatized so i cut it and poof it was no more.

-now means to go on is the fic that changed the most. originally this was supposed to be yearsssss into the future instead of the five i chose. i wanted philip to be the same age alexander was when it was happening but then i thought it was a bit too much time and despite how crazy my king george is, i don't think he would manage to hold on for that long. but it was basically supposed to follow the plot of the musical and have philip wanting to defend his father after the reynolds pamphlet is released. only instead of alexander being the one to give him the guns, it was john (there was a lot of call back to the first fic and john's duel) i had everyyyything written for this. i had a confrontation between philip and eacker, i had john and philip's conversation, i had philip's death scene and his funeral. i spent so much time on these chapters, BUT i had to let them go in exchange for our baby philip instead. also this was going to be at the end of means to go on, and instead of seeing him early on, alexander would meet back up with the king at the end of the book. it looked a lot different than it does now.

-jefferson and madison were not the great guys i changed them to be in this story. they were sooo villainous but almost in a comical way. like initially they were the ones who found the king's letters in washington's office and thought alexander actually did have a relationship with king george (because they're stupid and couldn't use context to save their lives) but i thought them being morally gray and still respectful to alexander after they found out and sort of forming a bond was more interesting than having them be bumbling idiots. but they were definitely meant to be the comedic relief originally

-i was going to have some scenes involving yellow fever and alexander being delirious and having really fucked up dreams and eliza trying to console him but it's like he's actually reliving it, but it never really fit anywhere. i might actually release this as a oneshot just set in this universe at some point.

My BTS Story

Starting off my BTS blog with a little ˚✧₊⁎history⁎⁺˳✧༚ Funnnnn!!! Another ARMY fan girl sob story!!! Yayyyy!!! -_- whatever. Here it is:

With Jin now in the military and the other members soon to follow, I’ve begun to question my relationship with BTS and how it might play out in the years to come as we all await BTS’s return in 2025. Before I begin, I want to make one thing clear. My story may just seem like another boring fan sob story but I think everyone’s story deserves to be heard.

         I was introduced to BTS by a friend of mine back in middle school but it wasn’t until I started high school later that year that I really started to become a fan. The first few weeks of school were extremely stressful. Let’s just say I knew a lot of people from my church and some of them I didn’t have good pasts with.

Honestly, I got into BTS because it was the only thing I had to keep my sanity alive. (BTS is, in a way, my savior which is why I’m now so attached to them)Gradually, I began to get more into BTS and my school life actually seemed to improve. I guess when the military news really sunk in was when I heard about Jin’s enlistment. I had heard about military but I thought it was all a hoax lol 😂 To tell the truth, I did cry. I cried at night, I cried with a school friend who likes BTS as well, and I cried over text. It was and still is really sad for me knowing that Jin’s enlistment is the start of all the members’ soon enlistment. And it made Jin’s enlistment even harder with my birthday a few days before his enlistment date. Now it’s a new year.

        My bias at first was RM. He was my first choice when I was asked for the first time who I liked. But then I started to notice V. I don’t know what it was that first caught my attention. Maybe his voice, maybe his personality and cute smile, maybe his beautiful and seemingly unreal looks, or maybe everything about him. Now I fall asleep listening to his soundtracks, I’m all for Taekook, and I have half a million pictures of V on my phone. Honestly, he’s my first celebrity crush. Wait…no…V, BTS, they’re more than celebrities. They. Are. LEGENDS!!! But yeah. Now my bias is forever Taehyung ❤️🐯❤️

     (Excuse my fangirling. Btw, this is only half of my photo album named and I quote “🐯❤️Kim Taehyung❤️🐯” whatttt?? I’m a fan! A big big fan. 😋 luv u, Tae tae <333)

Moving on.

  Anyway, because of my mistake of not getting to know BTS sooner, my teenager years will be concert-less, fanmeet-less, RunBTS-less, grouppicture-less. I graduate in 2026. Who knows how soon in 2025 BTS will reunite as a group again? I feel like my teenage years will always be missing something and that’s really sad. Also, BTS won’t be as young as they are now in 2025. I mean, V turned 27 just a few days ago. He’ll probably be 30 when they reunite. And he’s also mentioned that he wants to have a family someday. BTS has and will have their own lives to take care of. Who’s to say they will really be reuniting as a band in 2025? Thoughts like these are what make me emotional. 

         Finally, I have thoughts about what will happen to BTS if they decide to discontinue the band in 2025. Like what if BTS decides to pass on the band? Like choose seven new boys to continue their legacy? Crazy thought, I know but wouldn’t that be cool? And imagine 50 years time. Your grandchild asks who BTS was like some kids today ask who the Beatles were. What will you say? I know what I’ll say: “BTS were legends. They were the greatest boy band to ever walk the face of the Earth. They spread love and joy and incredible music everywhere they went, from continents to the internet to books and magazines. BTS were legendary superstars; they ruled the world of music. And your grandma lived to see them preforming, singing, dancing, laughing, crying. I present to you, my grandchild, I present to you, dear readers, I present to you, watching world, the seven pieces of the puzzle of greatness, the seven kings of k-pop, the seven human wonders of the world(lol maybe that’s a bit weird but anyway) Never forget BTS and their legacy.”

Ahhh thank you😊 took me a bit to answer this because I was thinking it over

🌾 Describe your OC through the eyes of someone absolutely head-over-heels in love with them:

Obviously I gotta do Corin here. I'll just post a little excerpt-y thing of Corin thinking Faolán over back before they got together but when they were very much dancing around each other and their feelings. Excuse any weird formatting;

Faolán Hasard wasn’t one for easy smiles. But that made those smiles all the more precious, when they did occur.

Smiles or no, amusement could be read in that quiet face, if one knew how to look. And Corin knew. He’d taken pains to know. When Faolán found something funny he bit the inside of his cheek and looked down and to the side, a warmth flicking behind those earth-brown eyes and making them luminous.

He had the most expressive eyes Corin had ever seen. Entire sagas played out behind those eyes even when the rest of his face stayed carefully schooled. In the sunlight the colors within their deep brown came to life, shaded by long lashes. It was perilously easy to get lost looking at those eyes. Corin caught himself doing it frequently, and he’d long since stopped trying to chastise himself for the staring. He’d never really started, in all honesty. Faolán was good to watch.

And there he sat in the sunlight, sitting in the dappled shade cast by the gnarled oak his back rested against. Cast in sunlight and green-tinted shadow with a book in hand and brows slightly furrowed as he read, tracing his finger along the pages like he could read the ink with a touch.

Corin resolutely avoided thinking more about Faolán’s hands and his touch and the surety he always seemed to move them with. Ever movement deliberate. Corin moved his hands constantly, spoke with them, sent them fluttering like startled birds at the slightest thought. Faolán though…Faolán never seemed to move any part of himself without thinking the movement over. Almost never, anyway.

Corin desperately wanted to take those hands in his and read the contours of them until they were willing to hold his back. If that day ever came. If it didn’t, he’d just content himself with watching, and try to let that be enough.

🌿 What way does your OC show that they care without using words? What way do others show your OC that they’re cared about without using speech?

This one is funnnnn

So Faolán is somebody who doesn't talk a lot, and almost never talks without thinking his words over (almost being the keyword there). So he is very adept at showing his care without words. He's all about little gestures, fond touches, comforting touches, tucking somebody's hair out of their face, brushing hands, etc. He also shows his love by mending, if that makes sense. By mending his loved one's clothing, by decorating it with embroidery, etc. And be sharing what he loves. For example, by loaning a book to somebody or pointed them to a particular poem or passage, etc.

As for how others show him that he's cared about without using speech, the two central people in his life, his husband and adopted daughter, both show affectionate in very physical terms. Corin pretty much always has his hands on Faolán, just holding him or touching his cheek or leaning on him, etc. But he also can always tell when Faolán needs space, which happens fairly often, and will give it to him. Corin also shows love through just quietly knowing what Faolán needs, be it an arm around his shoulder, some space to think, etc. Further, Corin is very good at quietly reading Faolán's needs. He can tell when Faolán is say, hungry, even when Faolán hasn't realized it yet, and he will just quietly bring him something to eat, etc. Stuff like that. bringing him a blanket to drape over his shoulders, sitting down next to him to just hold his hand, etc. Corin also really delights in knowing the exact sort books Faolán will be interested in, and hunting them down to gift them.

Adaira (their adopted daughter) is very standoffish at first and pretends to be a very scrappy independent little badass, but she's just a scared little girl desperate for affection and family and safety, and once she warms up to them and learns to trust them and feel safe with them, she becomes a very clinging little lass who is constantly wanting to hug onto her dads, fall asleep against them, etc. Stuff like that. She also loves giving them little gifts she makes herself, which tend to be weird little charms she's made out of twigs, etc. She's a baby witch and she wants to protect them, even if her charms are still 'learning' at first. So that's very much how she shows love to Faolán. Another way though is expressing interest in what he loves, so books et al. She will quietly sit and let him discuss plots with her, or narrative structure, or different types of poetry and meter, etc. Just nodding along and listening so intently

💦 If you as the writer could erase one traumatic event from this OC’s life what would it be and why?

The mercenary company he used to be with was his second family after losing his mom, and them being wiped out, including his boyfriend, was a very mean thing for me to do to his backstory sdfghj. (Also his mama dying was a very sad and I am sorry Faolán)
