B!D takes a kryptonite bullet for Kara basically dies, but they revive her.
A/N: It's been forever, but I'm procrastinating homework (in school for television writing) and happened across this old thing. B!D has taken on a life of her own at this point - she has a name, a backstory, a fiance . . . everything. So please excuse my not using 2nd person. Jacquelyn Danvers wants to be heard.
The pointed gun blazed a sickly emerald green. Kryptonite.
And it was aimed right at Kara.
Jacquelyn looked from the gun's barrell to her sister. Kara had her hands raised, she was saying something, but Jacquelyn's ears were ringing. She couldn't hear anything besides the pounding in her heart. She had to do something. She had to stop it.
"Supergirl, move!" Jacquelyn called. She only allowed her sister half a second to get out of the way before her body reacted to seeing Kara in danger. She shot forward as quickly as her legs would go. Arms outstretched, she shoved Kara out of the way just as a BANG filled the air.
Jacquelyn felt a searing pain rip through her chest. The force of the bullet sent her flying backward several feet and she rolled across the pavement.
Her entire body felt like it was on fire. Her head buzzed, and she was struggling to breathe. She could hear a commotion, but nothing made sense. The world became blurry. And then it went black.
______________________________________________________________
Kara stumbled sideways when Jacquelyn pushed her. She heard the gunshot, and in that moment, she had never been more terrified.
That was, until she realized her baby sister had been shot instead of her.
"Jacquelyn!" Kara glanced at her sister and back at the man who made the shot. "Alex . . . Jacquelyn's been shot. Hurry!" She wanted desperately to run to her, but she knew she couldn't help Jacquelyn if she herself were dead. She had to take care of the shooter first.
She whizzed forward, her fist contacting her man square in the jaw. Kara hadn't ever hit that hard. At least, not on a human. He flew back and landed limply on the ground. Unconscious or dead, Kara didn't really care.
Within a second, she was at Jacquelyn's side. Her sister was passed out and bleeding profusely. Kara put pressure on the wound, blinking back tears as she looked at her sister's pale face.
Footsteps sounded behind Kara and moments later, Alex was at their side. "Oh god . . . you need to get her to the DEO now. I can't do anything for her here. I'll meet you there."
Without a word, Kara pulled her baby sister into her arms. She somehow seemed even lighter than usual. Like when she was a little kid. Just as helpless. Just as small and scared.
And Kara flew. She zoomed across the sky at record speeds - Barry would be impressed. But she didn't care about that now. All she cared about was her dying family.
When she lay Jacquelyn on the bed in the med bay, a team was already waiting. They got to work immediately.
"Is she going to be okay?" Kara asked.
"Supergirl, it's best you leave," an agent said. "You did your job, now it's time for us to do ours."
"I can't just leave! I'm not leaving her. She -" Kara's voice caught in her throat and she couldn't continue. She couldn't fathom the idea of losing her baby sister. "Just fix her."
J'onn walked in and placed a steady hand on Kara's shoulder. "She'll be okay, but you have to give them space to work. There is nothing you can do for her right now, Supergirl. You got her to safety. Come, let's go sit down."
Kara didn't want to leave, but she knew J'onn was right. She didn't have any medical training. "It's my fault. She pushed me aside! I should have gotten hit with that bullet."
"That bullet would have killed you. Jacquelyn at least has a chance. She knew that when she threw herself in the way."
Alex ran into the room. "Jackie! Oh my god. Jackie . . . What the hell happened out there?!"
"We were attacked," Kara explained. "He had a kryptonite gun and Jackie - she saved my life. I swear, Alex, if anything happens to her. If she doesn't make it, I will never forgive myself."
Kara was crying now. J'onn wrapped her in a reassuring hug as Alex moved to Jacquelyn's side.
"She'll make it," Alex said. "She has to."
The monitor started beeping rapidly.
"Shit!" Alex said.
"What's happening?" Kara asked. "What's going on with her?"
"She's coding. Get me a defribrillator. Now!" The doctor's worked in tandem with Alex as they quickly prepped Jacquelyn for the shock. "Everybody, clear."
Jacquelyn's body jolted as electricity surged through her. But still, the monitor beeped in rapid succession. Alex charged it again, and again they shocked her.
But the monitor continued its quickened pace.
Until it stopped.
"No," Alex said. "No, Jackie. You are not dying on me. Don't you dare die on me!"
Kara pulled away from J'onn to rush to Jacquelyn's side. "No, no no no," she sobbed.
Alex interlocked her fingers and positioned them over Jacquelyn's heart as another doctor placed oxygen over her mouth and nose. Alex furiously pumped her sister's heart. Though steady in her movements, Alex with nothing short of terrified. The only thing keeping her together was knowing she was Jackie's only shot.
Alex kept this up for several minutes. She refused to give up. She refused to give in to the possibility. The world spun around her and she felt like she would pass out. But she didn't stop.
A slow, steady beep started on the monitor.
Alex took a step back, her eyes filled with tears and heart full of relief. "She's not dying. Not today."
The doctor's took Jacquelyn to surgery to fix the damage. The bullet hadn't gone all the way through, so it had to be removed and bones and organs repaired.
Alex and Kara sat outside the room the entire time.
"I'm scared, Alex. Is she going to be okay?" Kara asked.
"She was in bad shape . . . but our doctor's are the best." Alex was just as scared as Kara. But she was the oldest. She couldn't show it. She had to be strong for all of them.
It seemed like hours before anybody came to get them. "She's stable. She should be waking soon. You can go see her."
Kara jumped up and threw her arms around the doctor before zooming to Jacquelyn's bedside.
Jacquelyn looked pale and sickly.
Both sisters sat by her bedside, holding her hands. "Oh Jackie, I am so, so sorry," Kara said. "I should have been faster. This is all my fault."
"Stop beating yourself up, Kara," Alex said as she gently stroked a stray piece of blond hair from Jacquelyn's sweat-covered face.
With a small groan, Jacquelyn opened her eyes.
"Hey, Jackie," Alex said softly. "How do you feel?"
"Ow . . ." Jacquelyn scrunched her face and turned her head from the light.
Alex immediately got up to turn it off. "Is that better? You were badly hurt, so it's normal to feel some pain, but we can try to ease it as much as possible."
"Kara?" Jacquelyn asked. "Is okay?"
Kara squeezed Jacquelyn's hand in both of hers. "I'm right here baby girl. I'm okay."
"It was kryptonite . . ."
"I know. You saved my life. Don't ever do that again, Jackie. You could have died."
Jacquelyn squinted up at Kara. "I had to protect my family."
At her words, tears welled up in Kara's eyes again. Her sister, her baby sister who had always been so soft, so sweet, so . . . nervous. Had been brave enough to nearly get herself killed for Kara's sake. It was both touching and terrifying.
"And now," Kara said after a long pause. "We protect you. It's going to be a while before you're well, but Alex and I aren't leaving your side."
Jacquelyn reached for Alex's hand, who grabbed it quickly. "That's right," Alex said. "And it's ice cream and The Land Before Time as much as you want until you're well. How does that sound?"
'Great," Jacquelyn forced a smile. "Better if everything wasn't throbbing . . ."
Alex exchanged a worried glance with Kara. "Let's up your pain meds."
"No," Jacquelyn said, though her voice was strained. "I'm fine. I don't need it."
"Jackie . . ."
"No! It'll make me high. I want to remember.'
"Okay," Alex sighed. "But if it gets too bad, I'm doing it no matter what you say. Got it?"
"Got it."

Hi to the Supercorp fandom. I need help finding this fic in AO3.
It was a fic about Rhea successfully mixed Lena and Mon-El's DNA. They didn't know until they found a pod with a baby boy in it. Mon-El wasn't present also as he was in the future already. Kara then adopted the baby as hers. But an intergalactic assassin was sent after the baby boy as he was the "rightful king of Daxam". The kid's name was Drew. It was a finished fic already.

For anyone still here - sorry I’m absolute shit at keeping up with fics. Dealing with this pandemic at work, constantly having to sign new contracts to maintain my job etc has just been a nightmare and every time I get home I just need to shower and sleep. I’m so exhausted and work has been shit. I’m so grateful to still have a job unlike so many people and I wish I could be contributing to some happiness in the form of fics. In saying that I’ve been reading a lot of the little prompts people give writers and I love the thought of doing some of them to get back into the swing of things. So if anyone cares and anyone has anything in mind send me a request. Stay safe everyone x

When you can’t seem to figure out your current chapter, draw it out. Literally.
So, here’s my writer’s block drawing of Lena Luthor from the current chapter of my Supercorp fic, How to Succeed in Business, proving that you can be intimidating, even in socks.

Zari Tomaz/Kara Danvers- 58,92
Accidental Eavesdropping + Kink
Alright so we all know that Kara has super-hearing which is good for hearing people in trouble who are screaming for help but not so good for when people want to keep private things private.
She’s learned how to distract herself from listening to people’s private moments, mostly using her sister as practice but we’re not going there. Though, that’s only if she has a heads up. When Kara doesn’t have that, well….not much she can do.
Now for the fic
Team Supergirl is in need of the specific skill set of Team Legends and as she’s the only one to have met them, Kara uses her device to cross worlds to open up a portal on the Waverider. She thinks it will be like any time she comes to see Barry/Team Flash.
However, she’s not familiar with the layout of the Waverider so the portal opens up right outside of Zari’s bedroom.
The rest of the team decided to take advantage of being in their correct time period to stock up on their favorite things/check in with their people so Zari decided to use this to her advantage to take some time to properly take care of herself which she’s been neglecting to do due to back-to-back missions.
Kara knows she shouldn’t be listening but she’s been attracted to Zari since they met and she’s getting worked up by the sounds Zari’s making.
Gideon then happens to tell Zari about Kara.
Zari gets to her door and opens it before Kara can run away. As she goes to say something, she sees the condition Kara is in then smirks before pulling her into her room, Kara goes willingly. After all, what kind of person would Zari be if she left Kara in that state to fight bad guys?
Besides, she’s always been curious about sex with an alien.
By the time the Legends return, they’re both happily satiated and able to focus on why Kara popped over in the first place.
Send me two (2) tropes from this list + a ship and I’ll describe how I’d combine them in the same story.

On a post-it note and sanvers because they are extra like that
this got bittersweet oops im sorry
She’s cleaning out her apartment, not thinking anything of it. It’s something to do. Some way to deal with the stress having nearly lost Kara while fighting evil versions of their friends on another Earth. Some way to ignore the fact that she was still in that post break up haze. Some way to distract herself from reality.
Alex has never liked cleaning.
But at least here and now it is something to do.
Some way of putting her life into boxes without having to think about it.
Until she does.
Until it hits her in the face, a to do list, scribbled on an orange post it note, in Maggie’s handwriting.
The handwriting itself would have been painful enough, if it wasn’t for the words written there.
A minor set of things.
Get reports of Jackson by 5pm
File the Delta 9 incident report
Ask Cindy to restock the break room spoon supply
Pick up more parsley for pasta night
Find brown leather jacket
Get a movie for movie night that won’t me cry
But it’s the last thing on the list, that has Alex sitting on the floor trying to remember how to breathe, blinking past the tears in her eyes.
Tell Alex that I love her.

Could you do a fic where R is dating Lena and they go to a bar with the super friends and Alex gets drunk and is super flirty/touchy with r and Lena and Alex fight over r and Lena gets super possessive?
It was a nice night at the bar with your friends. Lena had her arm around you as you were tucked into her side, with Alex beside you and the other Super Friends just across the table.
“It was hilarious,” Alex said, laughing as she took another drink. It was her fourth. “Brainy was so confused.”
“I do not understand this … confusion,” Brainy said. “As a twelfth level intellect, I declare that I have never been confused.”
“I’m sure you haven’t,” Nia laughed. “You could never be confused.”
You couldn’t help the snort that echoed across the table. Brainy was confused at least ninety percent of the time, so his denial was quite hilarious to you.
Alex turned to you and smirked. “You have the cutest snort. It’s adorable.”
“Why thank you, Alex,” You chuckled. “That’s very nice.”
Alex’s hand grabbed yours and you furrowed your brows. You weren’t sure what she was doing. “You … are just beautiful.”
Lena’s head snapped in Alex’s direction. “Hands off my girlfriend, please.”
Everyone else at the table had gone silent and you felt very, very awkward.
Alex wrapped an arm around your shoulders and pulled you away from Lena. “Come on … she loves it. She loves the attention. You can share.”
“Alex …” Kara whispered. “You’re pretty drunk. Let’s get you home.”
“No, she does not love it. You aren’t her girlfriend, I am. You should listen to your sister and just leave.”
You were looking uncomfortably between the two, wishing nothing more than to just sink into the seat.
“Y/N,” Alex slurred. “You love me, don’t you? I know you’d rather spend time with me. Look at this beautiful hair.”
Lena slapped away Alex’s hand as she brushed it through your hair.
“Okay …” You chuckled. “I think I’m tired. We should … go.”
Lena pulled you protectively into her lap. “You made her uncomfortable, Alex. Go sober up and don’t let me catch you acting like this again.”
Without another word, Lena stood, keeping you in her arms, and marched out of the building.
“You can put me down …” You whispered.
You knew Lena had heard you, but she ignored it. She kept you in her arms until you were placed safely in her car and she had done your seatbelt for you.
“Alex had no right to act that way.”
“I know, Lena, but -”
“It’s absolutely disgusting that she thought she could get away with treating you like that.”
“It’s okay. She -”
“Treated you like an object, not like a person. I am highly offended by her behavior.”
“Lena!”
Lena finally stopped talking and looked at you.
“I know you’re upset, but you need to calm down. I’m not going to leave you for her. Ever. People do stupid things when they’re drunk. Now, if you’ll quit ranting, I’ll let you carry me into the house.”
“I was going to do it anyway.”
“Shut up,” You said, playfully rolling your eyes as you leaned against your girlfriend.
“I love you.”
“Love you, too.”

I forgot when I was watching the new ep of Supergirl that it's not following the fanfic I'm reading where M'gann is free & helping J'onn, and Lena and Kara are very cannon so the reality of the episode was kind of upsetting

Fic Meme: Supergirl
So I came across this fic meme, and decided to use it for prompts to practice writing one-shots (though you’re welcome to send me requests as well)!
Here’s my first ficlet, featuring the indefatigable Danver’s Sisters (they should come with a warning), hope you like it! (Cross-posted on my Ao3 account too!)
Levity
13. “Ask me again.”
The day had been unforgivably long, Kara had hoped that having more time to devote to the DEO would give her a sense of fulfillment and stability she so desperately needed, but instead it just exhausted her. Not that the work was difficult, rather it was the tedium that grated on her nerves, the mindless minutiae that she had conveniently escaped before, only coming in when the situation required swift actions. She hadn’t, until recently, been subject to the 2 pm afternoon slump, where everyone seemed to have paperwork and training and indexing to do, which left her, quite literally, sitting on her hands waiting, praying for a robbery, a fire, even a jewel heist to break up the boredom.
She needed to decompress, to veg out with Alex, and maybe vent a bit, which is how she found herself knocking on her sister’s door at quarter to eight that evening.
Alex opened the door with a flourish – smile wide and staggeringly bright. It faded as she took in her bespectacled sister in the doorway, “Oh, hey.” She turned on her heel, leaving the door ajar.
“Nice to see you too.” Kara sniped, teasing.
“We were together all day, Kara.” Alex busied herself in the kitchen, cracking some romaine hearts over a bowl – the crisp green leaves torn into smaller, manageable pieces – before moving on to something else sautéing in a pan. “It isn’t that I’m not glad to see you I’m just,” she tossed something in the pan with a flick of her wrist; it shifted in the oil, lifted, flipped gracefully and settled back down, searing pleasantly, “I’m a little busy.”
“I can see that.” Kara stepped into the apartment, crossed closer, and leaned over the kitchen island, curious, “You’re cooking.”
“Yes.”
“You don’t cook.” Kara raised a skeptical eyebrow.
“I do,” Alex paused and the two sisters exchanged a wary look; they knew each other far too well for such crude lies, “Okay, I don’t. But that doesn’t mean I can’t.” The redhead removed the sauté pan from the heat and turned off the range.
Kara crossed into the kitchen a bit further, noticing an assortment of fresh vegetables and something wrapped in cheesecloth, sandwiched between two plates. She treated Alex to a quizzical look, steeped in a healthy dose of judgment.
“It’s tofu, Maggie’s vegan so I’m trying something new to surprise her. Eliza sent me a few recipes and some suggested modifications I might try.” She moved to take the tofu from the damp cloth, pressing the excess water from it before transferring it to a cutting board.
“You really like this woman.”
“I thought we’d established that.” Alex took up a knife and started cubing the tofu, setting the pieces into some sort of dark brown mixture to marinate.
“No, I mean, you really like her.” Kara almost laughed and Alex set down the knife with an exaggerated eye roll. “Cooking, Alex. Vegan cooking.”
“Oookay, this has been fun,” the redhead sighed, and, smiling almost menacingly, stepped from the kitchen, taking her sister by either arm and leading her back toward the door, “but Maggie will be here any second, which means it’s time for you to leave now.”
“Oh c'mon,” Kara whined, “I just got here. And I want to see Maggie’s face when she sees that you’ve been making… whatever it is you’re making for her.”
“Nope.” Alex started physically pushing her along now, fighting Kara’s resistance to leave. “Maggie’s been pulling doubles at the precinct all week and this is our first night to ourselves in forever. Now, I love you, Kara, but will you please just get. out?”
Alex gave her younger sister an unceremonious shove and rather than stuttering forward, Kara came crashing back toward her, stubbornly. Alex braced against her and little by little, the blonde started to grow heavy, leaning back against the press of her hands.
“Uh-oh Alex, I –”
“No.” The redhead shook her head sternly, shoved up as Kara leaned into her more forcefully now.
“ – feel something strange –”
“Kara, no.” Alex felt her knees buckle as her sister crumpled slightly against her.
“ – happening to me.”
“Kara, I swear!”
The blonde paid her no mind and Alex could almost hear the stupid smile in her sister’s voice.
“It’s like…
”Don’t do it!“ Alex was shouting in earnest now.
”…like I suddenly have no bones!“
And with that, the Kryptonian became a dead weight, nothing but dense muscle and flopping limbs, collapsing against and then over Alex. With one motion, Kara pulled her down, trapping her sister beneath the weight of her strong body, laughing all the while.
"I hate you.” The redhead said flatly, her voice muffled under the weight of her sister.
Kara cackled delightedly as Alex squirmed helplessly under the weight. True, her sister was strong, she was fast, she cold fly – the savior of National City – but still, when she wanted to, she could be really annoying. And heavy. Alex wasn’t certain, but she was pretty sure something in Kara’s alien makeup made her five times heavier than any normal human of her size. Struggle as she might, Alex wasn’t going anywhere.
“You can’t hate me.” Kara let her head loll to one side, meeting Alex gaze and smiling delightedly, “I’m too loveable.”
“I do, though. Get off me, I have important cooking to do!” Alex almost howled.
“Gosh, it’s like you don’t even want me here, Alex, I’m hurt. Truly.”
Alex struggled futilely for a few moments before the levity of the situation finally got to her and, sprawled out in exhausted surrender, she couldn’t help but giggle.
They hadn’t done this in years, but their childhood had been punctuated with hundreds of situations just like this: one of them would get impertinently upset over something – a test, a boy, using the car – and the other would retaliate by collapsing like a bronze statue gone suddenly liquid until the obstinate party broke. Granted, Alex’s weight on Kara was little more than a nuisance to her, but it wasn’t the act, it was the spirit of the thing: a reminder to never take themselves too seriously. As soon as Alex let loose the first hint of a laugh, they both lost their resolve and laughed outright, too busy enjoying the ridiculousness of their position to notice the figure in the door.
“Well, this is not the surprise I was expecting.”
Alex’s face snapped up, as much as it could from its awkward position, pinned under Kara’s shoulder. Maggie stood, leaning casually against the doorframe, a lopsided smile deepening one of her dimples in a way that made Alex’s heart skip a beat. Kara detected the less than subtle rhythmic change of her sister’s heart and shifted slightly.
“Hi, Maggie!” the blonde smiled broadly. “Could you give us one second?”
“Anything you need, Little Danvers. I’m just going to hang here and take in… whatever this is.” Maggie gestured to them vaguely.
“Kara.” Alex hissed.
“No bones!” the blonde countered.
“Get off.” Alex pleaded. Her voice whispered, but her tone was caustic.
“Ask me again. Nicely.”
“Please Kara?” Alex sighed, finally giving into the pressure, both physical and otherwise.
She hadn’t realized it, but as stupid as this whole thing was, and it was definitely stupid, it had actually forced her to relax, to breathe, to displace some of the pressure she had put on herself regarding her evening with Maggie. She resigned herself to a bemused smile and softened considerably.
“You know I love you, more than just about anyone else in this galaxy –”
“And the next.” Kara amended, helpfully.
“Right. This galaxy and then next.” Alex huffed under Kara’s shifting weight. “And I am always happy to see you. But I would really like to spend a night cooking for my girlfriend and I can’t really do that from down here. Can I get a rain check? Maybe tomorrow we could hang and catch up on Brooklyn 99?”
“With?”
“Pizza,” Alex answered automatically.
“And?”
“Potstickers.”
“Deal.”
Kara moved to stand and pulled her sister to her feet. Alex stepped in and caught Kara up in a tight hug.
“Thanks” she whispered, pulling back to smile at the blonde, “I think I needed that.”
“Anytime.” Kara answered, smiling still.
Maggie, for her part, just stood back, laughing at both of them.
