So for the bodyguard au wanted to make alternate designs for power ups based on incorporating them with shy guy masks and shy guy variants. Listen I will take any opportunity to make outfits for characters it is just so much fun!

Adding sketches on both how the mask works along with an example of a transformation sequence below the “keep reading” to avoid this post getting super long. Quick edit before I forget I do plan on an alternate cat (super bell) power up that leans more into the cat aesthetic. I just wanted to design a more stealth/field outfit for him. I also have drafts for a knight design for the metal power up! Those are coming later though.

So I wanted to work on the setup that power ups aren’t readily accessible in the Darklands (with the exception of fire flowers and maybe boo shrooms). To counter this I’m going with the concept of fusing power ups with masks so they can be used multiple times (think Majora’s mask).

Currently working with the idea of while this does make the power up a bit weaker, as long as the mask isn’t broken or removed from the user the power up will stay in effect.

Also on how shy guy masks work with different faces this just goes with my headcanon that there are different things under each shy guy’s mask. Varying from some shy guys just having a void that stares back to horrifying appendages and the masks just cover these so they can all blend in together.

The transformation sequence wouldn’t happen every time a mask would be used, but I will never pass an opportunity to draw Luigi break dancing. (Btw the reference for this sequence was Deboshir’s dance when he was going off against Zip Rock, break dancing competitions are super cool and I highly recommend watching them). Anyhow this is super rough, but I hope it gets the general idea across.

AITA for not leaving my room?

Don't get me wrong, I (F, minor) don't hate people, I just hate leaving my room during the day. I have partial albinism which makes my eyes a bit more sensitive to light than other people's, and it's literally ALWAYS bright, warm, and sunny during the day where I live. My dad says the sun is better for me in the long run, plus I'm not at all opposed to sticking myself just a bit into a warm bright spot, but I much prefer to curl up and sleep until it's dark out.

At night I leave my room a lot more! There's a really cool forest outside my house. There's this huge old tree covered in vines, a pond, some giant hollow logs that you can sit in, and it even has a cozy old hammock, a swinging treehouse, and a jungle gym! Plus, the nights here are still warm, we've got night vision security cameras around, and nothing really lives out there besides us and a lot of mice so it's not dangerous. I can't wander super far because there's a huge cliff right on the other side of the fence and I'm not allowed to go past it without my dad being with me, but I get plenty of good enrichment by myself, too. I don't have any friends my age and I really don't want to.

My dad encourages me to explore, but I can tell he wants me to feel more comfortable at home. Sometimes he'll start making my favorite food so I'll wake up smelling it and come out to see him, or sometimes he'll just come into my room and carry me out to hang out with him and his boyfriend and maybe even his friends if they're over. I don't hate it, they're all pretty awesome and I'm always content as long as I'm warm. We watch my favorite YouTuber together and it's usually really fun! As soon as I can find something that I can shove myself under, though, I just cover myself up as much as I can and fall asleep again. I feel like I'm worrying him by not coming out during the day more. Some people think it makes me pretty cold-hearted to just sleep all day. Or was it cold-blooded...? Eh, either way, it's not like I'm being hissy or biting him or anything. I would never dream of it! I'm just a girl who likes to hide. Does that make me the asshole?

could you possibly do maybe a blurb or fic of having two-bit in readers rrom and them getting caught with their clothes still off? But they didnt do anything, they were just changing and readers brothers (curtis's) think they did smth🤨🤔😏😏

In reality they were just cuddling (as a couple not besties) and two-bit gets chases out the house, and reader is super embarrased.

I think this would be a really funny fix, LMAOO

𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 - 1.4k words

𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 - mild swearing

A cool breeze swept in through your open window, and the sun was already high in the sky, casting long shadows that stretched from corner to corner of the bedroom. The curtains are open just enough for a ray of light to slip through, warming the sleep-rumpled sheets pooled around you.

Beside you, with his arm draped lazily around your waist, lies Two-Bit Mathews, his rust-coloured hair sticking up at a variety of odd angles, his lips parted ever so slightly as he sleeps soundly. He looks unusually peaceful, and you take a second to admire him, gently tracing the freckles dusted across his bare shoulders with the pads of your fingers. There’s a small scar just above his brow, barely visible beneath the messy strands covering it, but you know it’s there all the same. It’s just one of the many things that you find yourself loving.

Carefully, you brush his hair back into place and press your lips to his forehead, hoping to wake him before your brothers get out of bed and inevitably come knocking at your door. A soft groan rumbles through his chest, and you can see his eyes flutter open for a fleeting moment, bleary blue irises meeting yours as he tries to process where exactly he is. Then those eyes fall shut again, and you sigh heavily, leaning over to shake his shoulder lightly.

“Two, c’mon.” You whisper softly, earning another moan of protest as he pulls you closer, pressing a kiss to the crook of your neck.

“Five more minutes,” he murmurs against your skin, his voice thick with sleep and his breath tickling your sensitive skin. It's rare to see him so disoriented, so out of it, and you can’t help but feel amused at his behaviour.

However, your amusement quickly evaporates when you hear the telltale ring of Darry’s alarm, the sound shrill and piercing as it cuts through the silence. You cringe at the sound. Two-Bit grunts in displeasure, burying his face deeper into your shoulder.

“It's not fair,” he whines, peering up at you. “How can they be awake already? It's Sunday morning. I want to sleep in.” Despite his words, his hold on you loosens slightly, and he pushes himself up onto his elbow, blinking hard until he focuses on your face, his eyes brightening significantly when he meets your gaze.

The covers pool loosely around your waist as he shifts, and he immediately notices your bare torso, a broad grin spreading across his features.

“Woah, hey, cover up!” A loud laugh escapes him, and you're quick to slap a hand over his mouth, glaring down at him.

“Shh, you idiot. Darry will hear you.” Two holds his hands up placatingly, his smile still in place as you pull your hand away, rolling your eyes in feigned annoyance at his antics. He leans forward, pressing his lips to yours in a silent apology, one you accept easily, your fingers tangling in his hair as he pulls you closer. It’s sweet and simple, lasting no longer than a couple of seconds before you break apart, a soft smile playing at your lips.

Two-bit stretches out beside you, propping his head up on his hand as he watches you intently, an unreadable expression in his eyes. You roll off of the mattress, ignoring the quiet whine of protest you get in response, padding across the room in search of your discarded clothes, which lay in a crumpled pile by the door.

One glance at the clock tells you you've only got a couple minutes to get your very stubborn and very lazy boyfriend dressed and out of your window before Sodapop or Ponyboy come barging in.

With a heavy sigh, you pick up a pair of dark blue jeans, tossing them haphazardly towards Two, who catches them with a broad grin.

“Put those on.” You mumble, turning back to search for your own clothes, only succeeding in finding your shirt before the door flies open, slamming against the wall and making both of you jump.

“Y/N, Darry wants—” Ponyboy stops short when his gaze lands on Two-Bit, whose jeans are halfway up his thighs, an almost comical look of confusion crossing his features before it's replaced with something akin to horror. “Oh my God,” he breathes out. “You guys...” He trails off, glancing over to you before slapping a hand over his eyes when he realises how very little you're wearing.

“Get out!” You shriek, your cheeks turning a brilliant shade of red, and Pony doesn’t need to be told twice, turning on his heel and fleeing from the room, no doubt to go tell Darry about his new, and rather horrifying, discovery.

You turn to look at Two-Bit, who, despite the situation, is still grinning like a madman as he pulls on his shirt, seemingly unfazed by everything that has happened in the last few seconds. That grin quickly fades, however, when a loud crash sounds from the kitchen, accompanied by Darry’s all-too-familiar bellow of your name.

“Shit…” You curse, tugging on the remainder of your clothes, trying to usher your boyfriend to the window despite his protests. His arms wrap tightly around your midsection, preventing you from even attempting to escape, and though you try to kick and squirm out of his grasp, he simply refuses to release his grip on you, his chin resting on your shoulder. “Keith Mathews, I swear if you don't let me go right now—”

Your threats are interrupted as the door flies open for the second time that morning, and there stands Darry, his hands on his hips, his eyes blazing with a look that could only be described as murderous. You freeze, staring at him helplessly, and Two-Bit offers him a sheepish smile, slowly releasing you and backing away towards the open window. Before he reaches it, however, Darry steps forward, grabbing him by the back of his shirt roughly and dragging him back.

“Darry!” You exclaim, sounding slightly exasperated as you watch your brother pull Two-Bit out of your room and down the hallway, cursing under his breath as he goes. You trail after them, pausing beside a rather surprised Sodapop and a very guilty-looking Ponyboy as Darry shoves Two out of the front door, crossing his arms and glaring down at him.

“If I find you sneaking in here to see her again, I'll skin you, you hear?” He growls, pointing a threatening finger at the younger greaser, who has the decency to look appropriately terrified, flashing you a pleading look.

With a sigh, you step forward, placing a gentle hand on your brother’s forearm and forcing out a tight-lipped smile. “Darry, c’mon.” You try, “He wasn’t doing anything wrong.”

It seems, however, that your pleas fall on deaf ears, and Darry turns sharply to glare at you, his expression stony. You quickly fall silent, listening as your older brother continues to scold Two-Bit, whose eyes are wide with a slight fear. Darry could be really frightening when he wanted to be; you’d learn that the hard way.

“I mean it,” Darry barks, his attention seemingly back on the redhead still standing on the porch. “From now on, you use the front door, and that bedroom door stays open whenever you’re around. I don’t want any ‘funny business’ going on under this roof. Especially not while I’m sleeping next door.”

You know exactly what he means by 'funny business', and the implication causes your cheeks to flush crimson. Two-Bit, who looks just as embarrassed as you are, nods hurriedly, and you don't think you've ever seen the greaser look so guilty in all the time that you've known him.

Darry must notice too, because he relaxes slightly, his tone softer than it had been before, as he speaks once again. “Don't hurt her; you got it?”

“Got it.” Two nods: “I wouldn’t dream of it.”

Darry huffs, clearly not entirely satisfied with the whole situation, but deciding to drop it nonetheless as he glances between the two of you. He runs a hand through his dark hair, which is still slightly mussed from sleep, and lets out a long sigh. “Ya’ll are going to kill me someday.” He mutters, shaking his head, before turning from the door and heading back in the direction of the kitchen.

Once he’s gone, you shoot Two-Bit an apologetic look, but he merely smiles and winks reassuringly at you before turning on his heel to jog down the porch steps. You close the door with a loud sigh and hear Sodapop chuckle behind you, his arms crossed and a smug smile spread across his features.

“So…” He drawls, looking impossibly pleased with himself. “Two-Bit Mathews, huh?”

“Shut up.”

- you swore you could’ve seen him staring, but whenever you ask, he just ignores you, “I don’t know what you’re talking about y/n. I’ve been working.”

- “No I wasn’t.”

- “Yeah you were!”

- “Yeah because you look pretty in that shirt!”

- a silence echoed throughout the submarine, and both of your cheeks started to turn pink

- “You think I look pretty? Really??”

- man wanted to run away, but he didn’t want to make you feel bad, so he just awkwardly hid behind his hat in a cheap effort to make it seem like he wasn’t turning as red as a tomato

- “Yeah.. You’re pretty.”

- That right there is probably the biggest and most meaningful compliment you’ve ever received

- But still, even with a lot of other people saying you were pretty in public, it still felt like you just didn’t believe them

- all the staring actually made you even more self conscious, were their compliments just fake? They didn’t really mean their words?

- with the way zoro is, he’s kinda bad at giving compliments, and he’s better at insulting people (mostly sanji)

- zoro then paused, he had just admitted outwardly and quite loudly that you’re pretty. And bro just blamed it on you 😭

- “I’M NOT STARING.”

- this argument continued for a while before Nami told you two to shut the fuck up so she could get her beauty sleep :’)

- but still, did zoro really think you were that pretty?? A lot of people told you that, but it felt more meaningful coming from him

- so a little while after your argument, you went up to him and just blatantly asked him

- “Zoro, do you think I’m pretty?”

- “I literally told you that an hour ago.”

- “yeah I know but do you really think so?”

- “Y/n why tf would I say it if I didn’t mean it?”

- Welp. There’s your answer, but your question kinda made him pissed 💀

- “Zoro I was just asking!”

- “Why though?! You don’t make any sense!”

- yeah don’t start with him- he just doesn’t get it, but you managed to get him to say you’re pretty about 30 times in that same argument so 👍

lucifer hears you come in but can’t summon the energy to open his eyes, on the verge of falling asleep. you still, presumably seeing him, and he waits to see what you’ll do next. you begin moving again, noticeably quieter, and after a few moments of rustling, he feels you walk over to the bed. you stand there for a long moment, then pull the covers up over him, smoothing them across his shoulders. your hand touches his cheek, feathery light, and when it pulls back, he mourns its loss.

fondness explodes in his chest, warmth spreading between his ribs. when was the last time he was cared for like this? without the expectation for anything in return, without the need for a response?

…the only times he can remember are other moments with you.

you circle the bed, sliding into your spot next to him, movements gentle. you slot yourself against his side, and lucifer can’t resist the urge to wrap his arm around you, pulling you even closer.

mammon has his face pressed into the pillow when you knock on his door, and rolling over just seems like too much effort. he stays where he is and hears you close the door behind you, moving further into his room. you set some stuff down, probably your bag, doing your best to be quiet.

“oh, he’s asleep,” you whisper to yourself, barely audible. mammon really isn’t but he’s close enough that waking back up fully sounds too hard.

you mess around for a few minutes more, and mammon’s curiosity piques at the noises. when you enter his attached bathroom, he rolls over, opening his eyes a crack so he can see what you were doing.

when he’d laid down his desk was a mess of papers, clothes, and other junk, but now it’s neat, clothes folded on the chair and papers in stacks. the action is small, seemingly almost habitual to you, but to mammon, it means the world. he always says how much he loves the big gestures, and really, he does, but something about the small, domestic moments really get to him too.

levi wakes up when you open the door, but doesn't open his eyes, still half-dazed. your footsteps stop for a moment, then pick up again. the tv shuts off, assumedly due to you, and he hears his door being closed fully.

he can tell by the illumination behind his eyelids that you turn on his nightlight - levi rarely sleeps in complete darkness - and the fact that your remembered is super touching. he really lucked out with you!

you walk to his bed and levi feels the covers getting adjusted. you gently pull his forgotten handheld gaming console from under his arm, setting it aside, then smooth his hair down, combing the strands back. levi sighs under your touch, and after a long moment, you move away, much to his disappointment.

disappointment that doesn’t last long, since you return, crawling in bed next to him. how lucky he is, to have such an awesome and loving person in his life. he needs to tell you that more often! you always do nice things for him, and while he doesn’t say it, he really appreciates it.

you settle in easily, and heart warm, levi falls back asleep quickly.

Sans: "huh," he starts out, and doesn't really elaborate much on it. You can hear him chuckle as he watches you try to figure out just what he meant by that. And as much as he would like to admire the way your face looks as you think, he knows this is a serious topic. It's easy for him to disarm you, to have you relax because he really doesn't want you to feel like you're walking on eggshells around him. He looks calm as ever as you explain but you know better, from the way his touches linger on you and how his eyelights never stray from you. When it's his turn to speak, Sans isn't really much for words, but he makes it known that he's always rooting for you. Once he's in love, he's all in, and he will always show that, one way or another.

Papyrus: Not offended in the least bit. If anything, he would have a deep fascination with your job and how you work. He's into it, the flair, the dramatics, the legs! He thinks it's Very Cool™. Papyrus isn't one to really judge people by their personality, especially when he's had experience of people doing the same to him. Sure, he'd be surprised but it's more so good surprise because... He wants to know more about you, after all.

He'd also be surprised when you express your fear to him, understanding that the way humans and monsters view certain things differently is very much at play here. Papyrus also doesn't care how long you've been together, if it's something you wanna do, he's ready to support you and you will never experience any judgement from him. (Your workouts are gonna be super fun btw, he had Plans™)

Blue: After you tell him, he kinda just... Goes quiet for a bit. It worries you, rightfully so as you find it hard to properly discern his expression. But he moves a step closer to you and holds your hands, first assuring you that you never have to be afraid to tell him anything. Blue would want to make it known as soon as possible that he will be by you no matter what, your safe space, your pillow to fall on.

But he also assures you that he trusts you, anything you want to do is for you to choose but he will support it so long as you're safe and happy. That's all that really matters to him in the end since, well, it's one of the reasons he fell for you anyway, the fact that it's you. (Also would probably point out the pretty outfits you have and if you'd model for him-)

Stretch: Definitely do not tell him while he's eating or drinking because he will choke. He would then panic and say he didn't choke because he was angry or anything like that, he was just... Very surprised. And he is! He just gets extremely flustered at the idea of you doing literally anything (boy is whipped I tell ya). It takes him a while to completely articulate his thoughts because he wants to tell you that's so cool but also wants to tell it's okay and that you're so awesome and-

There's a lot going through his mind, and you're sat there in dumbfounded silence as you watch the orange hue begin to cover his entire skull. But! He does eventually gather his thoughts and tells you that.. Hey, he thinks you're an amazing person and he's loved you far too long for anything like that to get in the way. He trusts you, and he hopes you trust him as much.

Red: "that's hot-" and he stops upon seeing your face and chuckles. He holds his hands up in defense before moving a little closer once you're a little more relaxed. He starts small, holding your hand before explaining what the culture is like from where he is. He's not the best with words, but Red does succeed in getting his message across, that being:

It is your life, you have the right to decide what you wanna do and what you don't wanna do. But whatever it is you choose to do, he's got your back, no matter how "out there" it is or whatever. You want it? You got it and Red will absolutely make sure that you can depend on him for supporting you. (still will tell you it's hot af tho)

Edge: You think he's judging you but really that's just his resting face. He's a little surprised by the fact that you're so... Unsure of telling him. He voices this concern, because to him, these kinds of things were rather normal in the underground. Whatever it was, as long as it was a means to survive. He takes this a little too seriously, not that it is a bad thing, but it can be rather daunting when he's staring you down as you're both seated on your couch.

And the whole thing kinda... Makes you laugh a little.

Perhaps from how nervous you are, from how overly invested Edge is, but.. it's.. Touching. He's rightfully confused, and huffs when he finds out why, feeling a little shy.(but you would never catch him admitting that lmao). The dramatics only last for a while before you gather your thoughts and explain and Edge is.. Very gentle about it. It's one of those moments that make you understand just why you fell for him, how he makes sure that you understand that he would never, ever judge you for that. He respects you, and he will respect the choices you make as long as you're okay.

he doesn't sleep much but when he does it's quite peaceful and he doesn't move much

As I said before he likes to be close to you and the closet he feels he can get is you lying on your back and him lying on your stomach so that's how you all sleep

There are books upon books stacked on his end table so you have a large variety

he doesn't sleep as much as normal ppl do but is less against it than Illumi

Likes to sleep in any position with direct contact and prefers to sleep with his head on your chest and his hands wrapped around you waist or vice versa

Always big spoon he likes to engulf you with his arms and body

His body is really warm and produces a lot of heat so sometimes you get hot but there's no way he's letting you go til he's ready to get up

His hair is long and down while you're asleep so when you wake up it's either in your face, splayed out over your shoulder or chest or just barely covering his face while he sleeps

Would dream of you almost every night
