as per usual, the concert is amazing. you wouldn't expect anything less from the marauders- they're one of the biggest bands in the world, after all. and oh, how lucky you are to be a rockstar girlfriend- even if your boyfriend, the infamous drummer sirius black, can be a tad on the grumpy side sometimes.
he's sweaty after the show, his long, dark hair slicked back with beads of perspiration. his white t-shirt is tight, the muscle tank showing off his intricate tattoos. the spotlight is cast upon him for so long onstage, it's no wonder he's hot, tired, and a little grumpy. but you can't help being enthusiastic backstage, showering him in praise.
"you were so good, pads," you say to him, perched on one of the amps backstage, stretching your arms out in a hug. sirius thinks you maybe shouldn't be sitting on there, but who is he to reprimand you on rules, of all things? he sighs, leaning into a hug, smelling the sweetness of your perfume, vanilla and sandalwood, mixing with the scent of his leather jacket draped over your shoulders. your smile is intoxicating. all of the fans wonder how on earth bad boy sirius pulled a good girl like you.
you press kisses all over sirius's face, smudging his eyeliner in the process. he doesn't care. when he pulls away, it's to pull his drumsticks out of his back pocket- he really should be putting them away, but sirius can't help wanting to show off. his nimble fingers deftly twirl the drumsticks, flipping them in the air, attempting a stupid trick that somehow he manages to pull off. you gasp in mock delight, but a hint of genuine joy shines through. you would never admit it, but you love his drumstick gimmicks.
"oy! pads!" james catcalls, grinning at the two of you. "have you signed her forehead yet? she's your biggest fan, eh?"
you laugh, and without missing a beat, sirius whips out a sharpie from the back pocket of his ripped jeans. you're laughing- "no, no, not my forehead-" and he settles for the back of your hand, scrawling his name across your soft skin and adding a little heart beside his signature star. "for my pretty girl," sirius says, a smile spreading across his features. you can't help blushing. your rockstar boyfriend will never go out of style.

Tumblr media
It wasn't a secret that you had a crush on Hui. In fact, everyone knew this a long time ago. So when you started dating Shinwon everyone was completely shocked. Even Hui.
Before anything happened between you and Shinwon you made sure to tell him that having a crush didn't mean having feelings for someone. Hui was nice and hot, you wanted to hook up with him one day but that meant nothing when it came to loving someone and Shinwon was the one who actually stole your heart. He too was nice and hot but something about him made your insides twist and butterflies go crazy in your stomach.
Thankfully Shinwon got it, he understood that loving someone didn't make everyone else ugly and unattractive and that he too had a crush on someone else and just like you he'd hook up with them if he could. You both laughed about it and jokingly agreed on only hooking up with your crushes if the other was present. Shinwon had a blast whenever you met with his long-time friends since Hui was one of them. He'd keep teasing you even if it was for your ears only.
Hui was thrown back when you started dating Shinwon because he too knew about your crush, even if he didn't do anything about it. He wasn't a close friend but he thought you were nice and pretty as he told you once. So when he saw you with your boyfriend he was always slightly confused.
You weren't always with the boys so when you showed up it was always special. Tonight was no different. Everyone gathered to have a pre-party and get wasted before going out, so you wouldn't need to pay an absurd amount for drinks at bars. You decided to not drink that much and Shinwon followed you, only casually accepting one or two shots.
Needless to say, a couple of hours later and everyone was already pretty drunk and caught up on their own shit. You and Shinwon were lost in your little bubble. Your boyfriend was looking especially hot tonight, probably had taken his time dressing up to go out, but you just wanted to rip that pretty shirt off of him. The alcohol probably had something to do with the urge to just grab him and kiss him with all you got.
You were still in public, though probably no one was sparing a glance at you two, so you just made out lazily on the couch. The thing is that when you two start kissing, you always can’t stop yourself. Shinwon was a good kisser, and you couldn’t get enough of him. The kiss started getting hungrier, your hands messed around his hair when his’ hooked around your hips and pulled you up to straddle him. Normally, you would be embarrassed by a hot make-out session in public, but for some reason it made you feel sexier, arousal already pooling in your panties with the idea of being watched.
Shinwon himself seemed to be showing you off, grabbing your ass and slightly lifting your shirt to explore the skin on your back. He trailed wet kisses along your jaw up to your ear, nibbling the lobe and getting a breathy moan out of you. You felt his grin, knowing he was very well aware that he hit your sweet spot.
“Looks like your crush is watching us, baby” he whispered for you to hear, giggling secretly.
You turned your head just enough to see Hui on your peripheral vision, smirking at you two;
“Don’t worry, I bet he is too drunk to remember anything in half an hour like everyone else is.” you answered, biting your lip.
“I’m sober enough to hear you two, and please don’t stop because of me” you were interrupted, heart racing as soon as Hui’s voice hit your ears. His grin grew wider.
“Give him a show, baby girl” Shinwon hummed lowly and pulled you closer.
You involuntarily grinded your hips when he tightened his grip and were pleased to feel his semi-hard through the thin fabric of your shorts. He tugged on your hair, exposing your neck to him, and took his time sucking on the skin, and you were sure you would regret letting him mark you, the trouble of covering that for work on Monday would be a pain in the ass, but right now it felt too good for you to care. It was also hard to keep yourself from letting noises fall from your lips, as every touch of his sent shivers through your whole body, but you tried your hardest to make sure he was the only one to hear it.
When his lips found yours’ again, his hand went down to your ass, guiding you to grind on him again, the friction giving you some relief and this time the moan that escaped you was loud enough that you were sure Hui, who had his eyes glued on you all the time, heard it.
Shinwon noticed it too, and a chuckle vibrated on his throat.
“Look at him, just can’t help himself seeing how hot you are and how good I make you feel” he said to you.
And then you saw what he was talking about. Hui was palming the barely-visible-but-still-there tent on his jeans, eyeing up and down and biting his lips.
It took you by surprise when Shinwon took you off of him and got up, holding your hand and guiding you to the bedroom. Part of you felt a very small pinch of disappointment, wanting to show yourself off to the man you crushed. But your boyfriend was full of surprises, and one of them was when he stopped on his tracks, and looked back at Hui, enunciating:
“I’m not going to ask you twice to come with us.”
Hui lifted one eyebrow, pleasantly surprised at the proposal, but didn’t waste any time following you two.
Shinwon didn’t bother closing the door, throwing you on the bed as soon as you entered the room, making you yelp in surprise. He climbed up in between your legs, attacking your lips with determination. Your legs instinctively crossed around his hips, making him grind, and you took pleasure in the friction.
You only remembered Hui when you heard a small gasp leave him, who was watching you two while leaned against the now-closed door.
Shinwon climbed off of you and commanded you to sit in a bossy tone that had you squirming in anticipation.
“Come here, baby” he said, monitoring for you to get closer. He tugged the waistband of your shorts “you know what to do with these.”
You got up and, facing Hui, shimmied out of your bottoms, leaving the lacy underwear on. You watched his eyes travel down your body with lust as Shinwon, standing behind you, pulled your shirt off. You felt his naked torso pressed against your back while he kissed your shoulder.
His hand cupped your breasts over the bra and you didn’t miss the way Hui’s breath quickened. You closed your eyes to enjoy Shinwon’s touches, feeling like you could melt under his palms.
“kneel down for me” he whispered.
You turned around and followed his instructions as he sat on the edge of the bed, supporting himself with his hand behind him. You kneeled in between his legs and grazed your nails on his abdomen before undoing the button and unzipping his jeans. You took it off of him along the underwear, his cock springing free and bouncing against his stomach, fully hard this time.
You licked your palm, your eyes locked on his, and grabbed his member, jerking it teasingly slow, giving small licks to the tip.
“Look how hard I already am for you, baby, I don’t think we have time for teasing.” he caressed your head, taking the opportunity to hold your hair into a make-do ponytail.
“In a hurry?” you chuckled.
A hiss left his lips instead of an answer and you sucked the tip of his dick in your mouth, swirling your tongue around it and already tasting the leaking pre-cum. You knew alcohol made people hornier and therefore they lasted less than usual, so you quit the teasing before it was too much and lowered your head, trying to fit the most of his length inside.
You hollow your cheeks and sucked, your hand moving close to the base where you couldn't fit in your mouth. Shinwon moaned wantonly and warned you about not lasting longer. You'd chuckle if you could, knowing your boyfriend all too well. Bobbing your head up and down, falling into an easy rhythm, your own breath sped up at the feeling of his dick twitching inside of your mouth, your tongue tracing his veins.
The room was hot, three different labored breaths mixed together made you feel even wetter. Knowing Hui was watching you sucking Shinwon off made you moan around his dick. You couldn't see Hui but heard his intake of breath whenever Shinwon moaned a bit too needy, so you knew he was watching intently.
Shinwon came without warning, his seed sliding down your throat making you almost choke. Your boyfriend didn't relent, hips moving with your head, moaning softly at how you swallowed every drop. He was watching you closely through heavy eyes and you were loving it. Soon enough he came back from his high and you opened your mouth, showing him how you truly swallowed and he groaned.
"I think Hui is a bit neglected, baby". Shinwon spoke and you froze. "Go show him some attention".
Shinwon was spent, laying back on the bed but still watching you closely. You turned your head and stared at Hui. He was a mess, heavy breathing and palming his bulge. Upon being put on a spotlight, Hui only walked into the room, still slightly open, and stood next to Shinwon, on the side of the bed. You followed his movements and only stopped a foot away from him.
"Hi", you said, giggling like a girl with a crush, which, well, you did.
"Hey you", he said right back, hands quickly finding your waist.
"You're too clothed for her, Hui", Shinwon said from the bed and you chuckled, watching your boyfriend move on the bed to watch you two.
Hui laughed and moved to take his shirt off. You took the opportunity to get his pants open and down on the floor. After that you both moved quickly, not quite knowing who reached first but kissing hard and desperate, tongues fighting for dominance. Hui's hands expertly opened your bra and you took it off, enjoying the feeling of his hands on your breasts.
You laid on the bed on your own accord and Hui followed, breaking the kiss only to position you and himself better, laying next to Shinwon, your head close to his hand. Hui took his underwear before moving on top of you and you almost pouted. You wanted to actually see him and touch him but the alcohol and the dim lights made it all too difficult.
It was all a bit too hazy and tipsy, your bodies moving together while you kissed, his dick leaving a wet patch on your panties even though they were already soaked. It was too overwhelming and Shinwon touched your head gently, caressing the top of it before whispering something to Hui who broke the kiss to nod and take your panties off.
"Let him take care of you, babe", Shinwon spoke to you when you looked from Hui to him.
Hui stopped to touch your folds, fingers moving easily because of how slick you were. Rubbing your clit fast, Hui moved on top of you and kissed you once more. You were enjoying it too much to notice Hui aligning his dick to your entrance. When you felt it moving inside, you only felt pleasure, you were too wet and Shinwon's gentle caress on your head was keeping you grounded, just as Hui's kiss was.
When he was fully inside, he didn't waste any time and moved, a bit too sloppy for what you thought but it was perfect. You knew it was the alcohol and your body reacted in the same way, sloppily following his rhythm until both of you found a good one and it became perfect. You moved in sync with Hui and only pulled him closer, hands crawling his sides and back.
You were moaning loudly and freely, the feeling of finally having someone you were so attracted to was too much, the alcohol and Shinwon right next to you only adding fuel to the fire. Shinwon chuckled and Hui followed, a silent conversation going on above you. Suddenly you felt Shinwon moving and soon enough two of his fingers were in your open mouth. Your immediate reaction was to close your mouth around the digits and suck.
"Ah, that's it. You're being too loud, babe". Shinwon spoke and you groaned around his fingers. "Keep sucking them like that and I'll have you on your knees for me again".
You moaned as much as you could, his words making your belly heat up even more. Looking at Hui, you put on a show of sucking Shinwon's fingers as much as you could. You were still a bit loud and Hui only whispered "fuck, Shinwon, do it right", before you could barely move your mouth. Shinwon was still keeping his fingers inside your mouth but now he was pressing your tongue down, successfully quieting any loud noise you could make.
"Tsk, I tried to be nice, babe. You made me look soft in front of Hui. Can't have that".
You groaned but the sound died on Shinwon's fingers, making you groan even more, clenching at how hot this whole thing was. You were thrown to the edge when on top of all that, you watched Hui bite his lips while staring at your mouth.
"Wish I was the one doing that", Hui spoke between heavy breaths, "I bet your mouth feels so good sucking me".
It was all it took for you to explode, white lights flashing behind your eyelids and you held Hui closer than before, body trembling beneath him. Your mouth closed around Shinwon's fingers, your moans turning into gibberish and you even a bit of drool escaping because of the make-do gag.
Hui fucked you through your orgasm, moaning as his own high approached. His voice asking Shinwon to not let go of your mouth made your orgasm last more or even come back after seconds, you weren't sure. You just knew that you felt absurdly exposed and you loved it. Hui came minutes after that, emptying himself inside of you and you made a grunting noise at the feeling, not quite having the strength to moan anymore.
Hui got out of you and sat on his heels as Shinwon helped you move to snuggle him and make space for Hui to lay next to you.
"That was something else", Shinwon was the first one to say.
"Hm, it was", Hui answered, still out of breath.
"Yeah, it definitely was", you laughed, sitting up after getting seconds of rest.
"Thanks for being so cool with all this, dude", Hui said to Shinwon and he only nodded.
"In fact, this wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for our trust, you know. So as long as you don't break any boundaries, we're fine", Shinwon spoke and held you closer.
"I get it. I truly do", Hui watched you and you fought back the urge to kiss him. "It is really nice, what you two have".
"Honestly, it's amazing. If it wasn't for our communication, friendship, and trust, I think Shinwon would have given up on me already", you answered, giving your boyfriend an affectionate kiss.
"I would never", Shinwon made a theatrical move of outrage and you and Hui laughed. "Nah, it's fine. Y/N had the hots for you since forever".
"Oh I know. Just never thought of hitting on her because it was clear you were into her".
"Come on, guys. Love and attraction aren't always together, you know?", you chimed in and they chuckled.
"That's obvious now to me", Hui spoke and gave a quick kiss on the forehead. "I still wanna go to the party tho, will you guys come?".
"If everyone is up, sure", Shinwon shrugged.
"Maybe we can go the three of us…?", you asked.
Hui and Shinwon watched you for a few seconds and you got a bit scared of crossing a line you shouldn't have until Shinwon kissed you on the lips and got up, holding his hand out to you. You took it as Hui got up on his own and suddenly you felt very warm.
"As friends, right?" Shinwon asked, but you could see clearly his playful manners and you laughed.
"As my boyfriend and his friend!", you answered and Hui walked past you with his clothes in hand.
"I'm clearly the boyfriend now", he said.
The three of you laughed as Shinwon ran after him in a small room, butt naked and you sat back on the bed to watch the scene roll. Having Shinwon as a boyfriend meant always getting a pleasant surprise.

Burlesque babe with Beauty Queen hair, it's a sight for him to see, sleek nylons with suspenders, stacked with sparkling diamante. Pasties swinging as she chokeholds a luchador under her arm and one between her thighs.
He's never seen anything like it.
The Homelander stands tall, towering over the ring, blazing trails from his eyes. Feet wide apart, fists clenched by his sides, he looks mad as hell as he watches the scene unfold.
She doesn't miss a beat, even with the Fender guitar bashing her in the side as she sits atop the wrestlers' shoulders. But nothing seems to phase her and her smile sparkles as bright as her tiara.
She's like a cake topper on a luchador mountain. Arched brows and devious grin, sparks flying and tail feathers swinging, her Homelander red, glows in the club's dim coloured spotlights of reds and purples.
She holds a figure skater's pose all the way down to the ground, as the man under her topples and falls. In celebration of her victory, smiling at and sending air kisses into the crowd from her cherry red opera gloves, making an elegant perfect 10 landing.
Both luchadores on the ground, out cold. Two grown men were no match for her. He's gonna have to find out what this one is capable of. This supe showcase has never presented anyone he was interested in.
Let's see what she's got.
He marches up to the ropes, pulling them aside jumping over, into the ring.
The announcer shouts into the microphone. 'Let's hear it for Homelander vs. Crazy Dame.'
Homelander beams holding his arms up. He strolls up to her as the luchadores are mopped up from under her feet.
She's standing there looking smug, pleased with herself. Devastating.
'So you're the new one they're been talking about? Huh?'
'I am. You wanna go?' she taunts.
He lifts her by the waist with one arm, she feigns defeat with the back of her hand to her forehead. Going limp in his arms.
He's watching as she springs up with a roaring laugh and a fist to his face.
He looks up at her with angry eyes. He's fuming. He grabs her by the throat launching her forward.
His eyes twitching, rage flowing.
'You think you can mock me?' he tilts his head leaning to her ear, 'I wanna see you squirm. Give me what you've got.'
He lets go abruptly getting into the middle of the ring waiting for her.
Zigzags and stars fly as they fight, swinging and throwing each other around. She pins him to the floor, back of her elbow to his neck, lying across him.
'Vought is gonna pair you with me, so you're gonna have to mind your manners with me, Lady.' he says.
'I guess I'll have to get the fun out the way now?'
He gets out from under her, flipping her aside.
Red scorching rays cut through the blue tinted room, his chin tucked his eyes raised, glaring ahead.
He blinks slowly taking her in. 'Why stop so soon? The fun hasn't even begun.'
He walks back up to her, grabbing her arm. He crushes the crown in his fist, throws it to the floor, rips off her jewels, throws them asunder. Pushes her onto the floor now weighing her down.
'Pearls,' he says slowly through gritted teeth, leaning down pressing a finger into her clavicle, 'not diamanté, are a girl's best friend. Especially, for my girl. But you're not my girl are you.'
His eyes burning into her face with a bright blue gaze.
'Come see me when you start..and it might not be these cheap gems spilling over you.' Diamanté falls through his fingers collecting in the indented space between her clavicles.

The first Sinister Six: Aftermath with angy dad
I wrote this as a follow up to ask-spidersisters series of events, which read them first here => 1 2 3 4 5
-----
Perched on the roof of one of the large skyscrapers in his version of New York, Sterling watched the lights and listened to the noise that drifted up from below for any sign of danger. But this was a surprisingly quiet night, even for Christmas Eve. And he didn't like it. He was pulled from his thoughts by his phone and raised an eyebrow under his mask at who was called. Thalia always texted first. Answering it via his comms, he immediately felt something was wrong.
“Hey Honey, is everything ok? Normally you text first.”
The concern leaked into his voice, and it only grew to alarm when Thalia started sobbing.
"Thalia, Honey, talk to me. What happened?"
He fought to keep his voice calm as his younger daughter broke down on the other end.
"A-Athena, she's really badly hurt, th-they took her to the compound. We were attacked at-at the ice rink and Athena went to fight them."
Sterling felt like ice water had been poured down his spine. One of his spiderlings was hurt, and he hadn't been there to stop it.
"Were the avengers with her?"
"I-i don't think so."
He was glad he was using comms or he would have dropped his phone.
"Okay, Thalia, Honey I need you to listen to me. I need you to go to the compound and wait with her. I will be there as soon as I can with Alpha and Jace. Okay? Everything is gonna be fine, I promise."
He was already moving, knowing that Harry was already calling the other two. He just hoped he'd get there before anything else stupid happened.
-----
Sterling was going to kill someone.
Not that it was unusual for him to do so, he wasn't like most other spiders in that regard. But no, what was not standard was the situation he found himself in. Athena had been critically wounded, because Stark had been at a fucking party instead of paying attention to his 'mentee.' And Sterling was pissed. The idiot had one job. One! And it was to make sure a sixteen year old girl wasn't killed on his watch. And lo and behold, Athena was nearly killed.
Sterling pushed down his own guilt, the bile in his throat he pretended wasn't there, fueling the blistering rage he felt as he stormed through the Avengers' compound. Of course, S.H.I.E.L.D agents and the like tried to stop his warpath, only to be thrown into the walls or their fellow agents. Trailing along behind were a worried looking Night Wren and a serene looking Alpha, both only there to keep Sterling from ripping Tony Stark apart. The former had never seen his mentor's unbridled fury before, only frustration, but he heard the stories of Sterling's rampage through the crime syndicates of Spotlight Row when he went missing.
Reaching the medbay doors, Sterling wasted no time plugging Harry in, the young teen quickly overriding the security measures and throwing the doors open for the party. Storming in, Sterling had no problem grabbing Barnes when he tried to intercept the pissed spider and flipping him into the floor. Cap soon joined him after being slammed with his own shield, not that Sterling cared, as he locked eyes with the REAL target of his ire.
"Stark, you have five seconds to explain to me why one of my daughters is in a hospital bed, on YOUR WATCH, before I crush your fancy suit like a tin can while you're in it!"
The billionaire found himself hefted up with shockingly little effort, and staring down an angry beyond belief spider. The mask had been torn off by its owner, giving the genius unhindered access to dark eyes that glinted with barely repressed killing urges and a snarl that wouldn't be out of place on a mother bear protecting her cubs.
"Well?"
All Tony could do was wheeze before a hand found its way to Sterling's shoulder.
"Put him down, boss, he can't answer if you crush his windpipe."
Sterling let out a chitter and dropped Tony like a sack of potatoes, instead choosing to turn his back on everyone else in the room and settle at his spiderling's side. This left the rest of the avengers with the murder robot and Night Wren, the later helping the super soldiers to their feet.
"Now, can we get an explanation before the boss decides he prefers Stark in chunks?"
All that could be heard in response was Tony catching his breath, and the soft chittering of the worried father in the room. And honestly no one was sure what to say…
To fill the silence, Harry flicked the nearest TV on, and the sound of a news report flooded in. Detailing the aftermath of what happened, Sterling only half listened, and then something interesting was said.
"- Reports claim that the villainous group known as the Sinister Six was responsible for this attack."
Realizing his error Harry shut off the TV frantically, but it was too late. Sterling had new targets. Standing abruptly, Sterling stormed towards the door, fog beginning to form in his wake.
"Alpha,"
The woman snapped to attention and tilted her head,
"Guard her and Thalia when she gets here until I come back. I have some mongrels that need to be taught their place to deal with."
The robot silently nodded and moved to Athena's side as the man left the room. Noone dared to follow.
-----
Sterling stalked his quarry from a distance, the wounded lion a few roof tops ahead. It was laughably easy to tear apart the oh so terrifying Sinister Six. They weren't expecting a much more experienced spider to get the drop on them, and while he was safe for now in his cozy prison cell, doctor octopus was far from off the hook. He'd get his in time, but for now, Sterling had more pressing concerns. Namely the furrycon reject that was Kraven.
When Sterling had found the six, they were gloating their victory in the middle of Times Square, against the good doctor's wishes he assumed, and Sterling couldn't help the murderous grin that curled across his face. Such easy prey, out in the open like that. To call what happened next a massacre would be an understatement. The square was flooded with a thick fog, and the panicked shouts of the men he stalked only spurred him onwards.
One could say the fog was a blessing for civilians, because when it cleared, five of the six villains lay broken in the street, a note pinned to the unconscious rhino. It read;
"My daughter is kind, merciful. A better person than I am in every way. But do not mistake her mercy for a weakness, it is strength and restraint. Restraint I do not have. These men have left my child, Scarlet Spider, half dead, and I shall show them what it means to truly be hunted. I know who you are, Planner, and your time is coming. Let the lion be a lesson for all, attempt to harm my child again and I will make sure it's the last thing you do.
Fog-Weaver"
Kraven had been let go, the elder spider choosing to play with his food. He stalked the man, slowly cornering him at a spot with a perfect view of where Athena had nearly died.
"Nowhere to run, little lion."
Sterling let his steps echo on the now too quiet roof, the hunter for getting a good look at the man who had ripped the six apart. But while a smart man may recognize the danger he was in, Kraven could only boast.
"Who is running? Now I have you right where I want you, I must thank you though, you got rid of the others that kept me from having the sole honour of defeating the Scarlet Spider. For your combat prowess you will make a fine trophy. Now let us-"
As the man boasted, Sterling had kept up a steady advance and was now in arm's reach of Kraven. Without another word, Fog-Weaver reached out, grabbed Kraven's arm, and snapped it. The hunter stopped mid monolog and howled in pain. Even that was silenced when the angry spider kneed him in the stomach and slammed him into the ground.
"How do you feel hunter? How do you feel now that you're the prey?"
Kraven tried to respond but a tight grip around his throat stopped him. Looking up at his attacker, Kraven expected the blank eyes of the mask, but instead found him staring into eyes darkened with rage.
"Know that however you feel is nothing compared to what you and your colleagues put my child through. And I hope your last moments on this earth makes this sink in."
The spider hissed, before the hand around his throat vanished only to be replaced by fangs. The more he struggled and fought, the quicker he felt himself weaken and begin to seize as his organs began to shut down as Sterling drained every last bit of Kraven's life essence. When the man finally died, Sterling pulled away and wiped his mouth, eyeing Kraven's body with contempt. Eventually he hoisted over a shoulder after placing his mask back on, heading towards the Jumbotron in the square.
That was how the police found the once proud hunter, dangling lifelessly and drained of blood. The only explanation was a note reading;
"This is both an example and a warning, the only one you will get. Do not anger me again.
Fog-Weaver"
Of course, Sterling wasn't there when they retrieved the corpse. He was at Athena's bedside and hugging Thalia close, watching over his children, and giving no indication of what he had done. He would deal with the fallout later. For now, he had a spiderling to guard and a child to comfort.

Peter Parker/Spider man!
First of all, girl, you're very pretty :). Just thought that I would say that. Right. On to the match up.
Like, from appearances alone. You two would compliment each other so well. 🥰
With heels on, you'd most likely be taller than Peter Parker.
Like. How dare you! He would do his best to one up you.
You occasionally catch him standing on his toes to try and match your height. And you look over at him like "???"
Cue mumbled excuses and awkward laughing
Then one day your heels go missing. And as you're looking around, you notice Peter is standing surprisingly tall. Upon further investigation you notice that he put on your heels.
Would this guy actually steal your own heels just to one up you? He'll, yeah he would. It's all in fun and games though and he isn't too serious about it.
But personality wise? Even better.
You are both serious nerds
It's not technically official but I head-canon that Peter Parker is a theatre nerd as well. I could just be Tom Holland seeping through but he gives off those theatre kid vibes.
You know how I mean.
He'd be wholly supportive of your hobbies. He would love to go and spontaneously buy random tickets to musicals on Broadway, even if you two don't get the best of seats.
Just be prepared to watch a lot of cult classics with him.
Like. A lot.
Especially Star Wars. You two will watch those movies so many times. And every single time he will be dramatically (poorly) mouthing the lines along with the film because let's be real- he has all of the movie scripts memorized.
He would also love to learn how to play an instrument from you. He'd be really bad at it. Honestly, he would be playing horrendously with this puppy-like jubilation that makes up entirely for his horrible pitch. It's adorable, really.
Your morals also align perfectly and that works out very well because the both of you are incredibly stubborn and steadfast in your resolve. You both strive to see the best in people, even if it puts you in jeopardy. Critics would call it gullibility. But you would be able to keep each other in check.
Sometimes.
You would be a massive headache for those in SHIELD or anyone assigned to manage you.
I can imagine Peter roping you into one of his elaborate schemes after getting hyped on caffeine and the two of you raising hell together. With the best of intentions, of course.
Like, "no. You cannot kidnap an ice cream truck and drive it to the orphanage for the kids. That is called theft and that's illegal."
"I don't care if it will make the children happy!"
You both have an incredible drive to help others. Peter's just manifests in a way that is a lot more... potentially lethal. Whereas you are content enough to simply volunteer your time.
Just. Don't ask to go with him on one of his super hero missions.
Trust me.
Peter has already lost people in his life. The poor boy would never forgive himself if he lost you as a result of his ineptitude on a mission.
Don't put him through that
Because he is awkward as well, you two would do very well to motivate each other and encourage one another to step outside of your comfort zones.
Meet to new, make new friends
Honestly, you’d be perfect together
~
You probably met Peter's sophomore year of College.
It's a funny story actually.
You volunteered with a charity service who was hosting a musical, "The Adams Family" The ticket revenue collected during the performances would be put to relief and conservation efforts in foreign countries.
Everything was extremely low budget. All of the cast members were volunteers and very few actually had much theatrical experience.
But you did not mind too much. You were cast to play the role of Morticia. So no complaints there!
The venue you were performing in was actually lent to you for free. It was on a college campus, and the auditorium was actually decently sized.
The previous performances went off rather smoothly. The turn-outs had been decent as well, thankfully.
It was closing night. Your final performance for the night. The audience was slowly filling into the room, that was when it happened.
One of the crewmembers on hair and makeup, completely new to the theatre environment actually asked out loud: "Wait, why can't we say 'Macbeth' again?"
Silence
Dead Silence
So quiet that the muted chatter of the audience could be heard from behind the heavy oaken doors of the female changing room.
The shit storm that followed would have been absolutely hysterical if everyone were not so panicked.
Those in the cast who actually had experience in theatre arts were whisper-shouting at the offending crewmember.
The others looked on, an expression of complete confusion plastered onto their brow
It's not like you could have sent her out to run around the entire college campus. You were on in 5.
Collectively,  you all decided to let it go.
It was just a legend after all.
"We'll be fine."
At least, that is what everyone told themselves.
~
The night, surprisingly, went off without a hitch. There were a few technical difficulties with the lighting (the spotlight "affectionately" named Big Bertha refused to fully open its iris) and a few missed cues, but otherwise, the performance did not terribly fail as many feared.
~
You and the rest of the cast were now hurriedly darting back from the bathrooms after intermission. It was a frenzied sprint around the back of the building to avoid the audience catching a glimpse of you.
That was when you heard something that caused you to peel off the rest of the group.
It was this peculiar scuttling sound, followed by a darting figure.
You initially thought it was an audience member who had lost their way and turned down the winding path.
The narrow road itself was completely innocuous and actually just led to a dorm site. However, under the dark of the new moon, illuminated by few stray streetlamps, it felt kinda ominous.
Having to remind yourself that you weren't actually in a horror movie, you continued down the path towards the figure, asking him if he were all right.
Then he stepped into the flood of light from a lamp, his movements kinda janky and angled.
This "person" was not a person at all. Rather it was a humanoid beast covered completely in rippling grey fur. Like 'Cousin It' jumped right out of the play and appeared on the street. But this wasn't your cousin. You knew the little girl who played him and she was much... much shorter. This thing cleared 213 centimetres!
You wisely decided to run.
And it gave chase, scuttling after you like some malformed beast.
So here you were, still in complete costume, being chased down the street but a Cousin It lookalike and screaming your lungs out.
You didn't get really far because Morticia's sprawling mermaid dress did little to help you move your legs.
Cousin It caught up to you, a clawed appendage swiping against your ankles.
With a loud rip the dress tore and you fell. Pain flared through your elbows made contact with the grated pavement.
Rolling onto your back,  you gazed up at the creature. Its purple fur glowing dimly under the backlighting of the street lamp.
For the first time you noticed its eyes, multiple gleaming plates meshed together to form one bulging eyeball,  like a fly or moth. Its mangy hair, overgrown and matted, reeked with a permeating stench you can only describe as rotting eggs.
So maybe you were in a horror movie. And the horror movie was 'Mothman'... or maybe the curse of Macbeth was here and this creature was coming from retribution.
Regardless of the reason, you did not have too long to think about it as the creature took a lumbering step towards you.  Then another... and a third... then it paused.
It pulled against something, like a dog heaving against its leash. But it couldn't move another step
"Stay where you are, Mothra." A trilling voice called.
Blinking, you noticed a figure perching on the top of the lamp post, hanging upside down from a glistening web. Another web was attached around the creature's waist, preventing it from advancing.
The blue and red was unmistakable.
This was spider man!
But why is he here?
Cousin it gave a roar of complaint and swiped for the spider. He nimbly dodged out of the way, laughing the entire time.
It was not long before he had Cousin It wrapped up in a thick cocoon of webbing, and was absently dialing something on his phone.
You heard him mumble something about how much of a nuisance "A-Chiltarians" were.
A-Chiltarians?
What was that supposed to be?
Spiderman seemed to notice you for the first time, and apologetically offered to escort you back to the play.
Which was practically ruined as intermission was over and no one seemed to be able to locate you
The audience was beginning to get antsy
To make up for lost time, Spider man grabbed you round your waist
Before you knew it, the two of you were flying
Swinging from tree to lamp as you glided across the ground back towards the theatre.
He dropped you off, literally dropped you, onto the stage, just in time for your next scene.
You could hardly act through the confusion of WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED TO ME
The rest of the night, you were understandably preoccupied
~
After the performance, the cast stood along the hallway, allowing the audience to meet and greet with them and pass out gifts.
A young man garnered your attention in particular
With hazel eyes and mousy hair, he introduced himself as "Peter" and handed you a bouquet of flowers
And you find yourself looking at him like "Do I know you?"
He seemed rather apologetic for whatever reason and praised your performance
Getting suspicious, especially after the events of that night, you had a feeling that he knew something he was not letting on to.
So you asked for his number.
And to your complete shock, he actually gave it
So. Over the course of one night, you were saved by the legendary spider man and got the number of a cute boy.
Maybe the curse of Macbeth is not so bad after all

And All That Jazz - Chapter 2: When You're Good To Mama (Ninex/Branjie) - Gab
Summary: Last chapter, we got a taste of the merry murderesses of Cook County Jail and it’s new addition: the Dancing Duo of the R.A.C. lounge. This chapter we meet the ladies of the west block and their lawyer extraordinaire.
a/n: Sorry I’ve been MIA for so long! This chapter is way way way overdue, but it’s here finally! Thought I’d try my hand at some Ninex. Also disclaimer, we’re not going for roaring 20’s realism at all if I want my lesbians to thrive!!!! So yes, women can be lawyers even though the general public won’t believe they would murder anyone. That’s fanfiction for ya folks. Also murderess row is in the west block of cook county jail in this instead of the east block… for obvious reasons. Shoutout to barbiehytes for checking up on this fic! It’s still alive, although I’m not so sure about what to do with it quite yet. If you have any comments, feedback, or suggestions for where this should go, let me know either on AO3 or on my sideblog @gabby-writes ! Enjoy!
Chapter 2: When You’re Good To Mama
Word count: 2128
Ask any other chickies in my pen
They’ll tell you I’m the biggest mother hen
I love them all and all of them love me
‘Cause the system works
The system called
Reciprocity
The west block wasn’t the nicest place, it had the same layer of rust and grime that covered the entire prison, but not even the leaking pipes and smell of smoke could stop the reporters from snapping away at the gates, nor could it stop the stream of flowers from coming through the door.
Each of the other inmates wore the same gray jumpsuit and had the same cold bunk, but not the west block. With all the attention these girls were getting, management seemed to let some rules go a bit lax. A mix of glamour and perfume hung in the air above Chicago’s most infamous celebrity-making machine—cook county’s very own stars in captivity—and entering the holding area was like walking into a circus act, wondering when the next show was about to start.
These girls were relentless, always pining for the spotlight, but there was one thing that kept them together. One woman that is.
Miss Nina West herself.
On the outside, Nina was completely delightful, with a smile that could melt even the toughest officer. Nina wasn’t a fool however, and she knew it took a whole lot more to get people to work in her favor. She had tricks up her sleeve and in her bra after all.
It took a hell of a lot of work to keep diva murderesses in line, but Nina had more grit than a sheet of sandpaper, and more connections than a telephone wire for good measure.
She knew every girl in murderess row by name, crime, and whatever else in between. She knew every intimate detail of their lives, coaxed out of them through kindness, cigarettes, alcohol, or a careful combination of all three. Every girl knew that if there was any chance for them to make it out as stars, Nina was it.
Got a little motto
Always sees me through
When you’re good to mama
Mama’s good to you
She was making her way around the block, each holding area buzzing with life as the poor officers tried to quiet the girls down. They stood up in front of their cells to greet her, lines of outstretched hands and strategically placed dollar bills adorning the side of the hall.
“Miss Nina I can’t find my favorite Nightie, would you be an absolute doll and order me a new one?” a flirtatious and stunning redhead peered through her cell doors, a beautiful smile on her lips as she knelt on her bed, leaning on her cell bars. She was draped in a silk robe and lazily peered up at the older woman.
Nina never fell for Scarlet’s attempts at charm, but it was always a delight to watch her try. Besides, there was nothing that flattered her more than the starlet’s unabashed flirting. She stopped for a moment, leaning into the bars across her cell.
“If you stopped letting miss Oddly rip them apart, maybe they’d last longer.” Nina’s teasing tone was rewarded by the blush on the other woman’s face, the redhead’s smile never faltering.
“Oh come on mama, you know she’s got all these… frustrations,” Scarlet said suggestively, leaning in further to tease fingers over Nina’s chest.
“Besides, I can’t go without my nightie for the press tomorrow.” She leaned in closer, a wickedly sexy smile on her face. It was a known fact that Scarlet would never show up to her press conferences without a sheer slip dress under her loosely tied robe. Nina couldn’t deny her however, after all, she was the one who suggested it in the first place.
Besides, from the standpoint of the press, asking particularly hard-hitting questions was a tad more difficult when you were faced with Scarlet’s breasts nearly spilling out of her dress.
Nina rolled her eyes, reaching through the bars and down the front of Scarlet’s robe, pulling out a 50 dollar bill from her brassiere.
“I’ll give them a call in the morning.” “You’re a gem, mama.” Scarlet blew her a quick kiss before rolling over on her bed.
There’s a lot of favors
I’m prepared to do
You do one for mama
She’ll do one for you
Nina walked up to the girl who was cooly resting against the bars of her cell down the hall, the older woman snatching the cigarette from the inmate’s lips and placing it between her own.
“Hey! I paid for that.”
“Then maybe you’d work harder to hide it,” Nina said with a wink. “Now tell me, when is your trial date again?”
Yvie gave a small shrug along with a wide grin.
“It doesn’t really matter, you know how much I like it here.”
This is Yvie’s third time in the west block for allegedly killing another husband. Well this time it was her fiancé. And this time he mysteriously wrote off his fortune to her before he mysteriously…got murdered.
“You know, you don’t have to kill men to meet girls in prison.”
“Okay first of all, allegedly, secondly they were all assholes, and third, prison has all the fun girls mama,” Yvie said, pouting for a second before letting out a laugh in Nina’s direction.
“Oh right, I forgot crazy is your type.”  Nina muttered, putting out the cigarette and handing Yvie a fresh pack. Yvie laughed again, accepting the contraband and retreating back into her cell.
They say that life is tit for tat
And that’s the way i live
So i deserve a lot of tat
For what i’ve got to give
Nina would worry more about her girls—death penalty was a real threat after all—if she wasn’t so confident in their lawyer. And maybe she was a sight for sore eyes after dealing with hot messes all day, but she wasn’t going to be the first to admit it. She saw her often enough, but a new case to whet her appetite was always welcome. She smiled to herself, remembering the two new girls that were about to be brought up from administration, definitely in need of a lawyer.
Don’t you know that this hand
Washes that one too
When you’re good to mama
Mama’s good to you
She finished her rounds, tucked the wad of cash she collected into her pocket, and strolled into her office to note down the next few favors she had to call in. Of course, there was one more very important call she had to make.
“Miss X Change? The phone’s for you.”
A voice chimed into the room as soft classical radio played in the background. The radio gave a click before going quiet as a woman with short, platinum hair rose from her seat and headed towards the door, her bright red heels matching the red of her smile perfectly. It was late afternoon and the sun colored the smoky office in gold light, touching everything in the room from the gramophone in the corner to today’s headline, left on the desk.
“Speaking.”
“Have you seen today’s paper? It’s been a madhouse here since morning.”
A smile broke out across Monet’s face the minute she heard the voice on the other line. She let her hand linger over the buttons on her blazer, fiddling with the top button as she listened to the other woman.
“‘Dancing Duo Murders Club Owner in a Deadly Double Act’? Nina, baby, I’ll have the press printing their names all over the city before the week is up.”
“So you’ll take their case then?” The voice on the other side of the line sounded hopeful.
“Maybe you should invite me over first.” Monet smirked, already reaching for her hat, “To meet them, of course.”
“You know, you’re much better at flirting with my girls than actually getting them out of my block.”
“But if I got them all out, I’d miss you too much,” Monet strode straight towards Nina, arms outstretched as she went in for a hug. “Now tell me about the two new babes.”
“You good baby?”
Brooke watched as Vanessa dressed herself in the tiny cell they had been put in for the time being. They had just taken their mug shots, some medical exams, and various measurements. The two were completely exhausted.
“Didn’t think there’d be that much pokin’ and proddin’, apart from you,” She replied, giving Brooke a wink before pulling up her trousers. She walked closer to the blonde, putting her arms around her neck, savoring the bit of privacy they got before they had to go to their cells.
“You nervous?”
“Nah. Nicky’s gone ain’t he? Ain’t nobody can hurt me now,” Vanessa said sweetly, placing a kiss on Brooke’s lips. “Are you?”
“Nope, I think I can swing something good for us here.”
Nina knew exactly who she was dealing with from the moment she got the call about the murder at the R.A.C. lounge.  She was no criminal, that much was clear, but after dealing with so many you get pretty good idea of the next person to slip.
Brooke was a performer at R.A.C., a regular show girl that practically ran the establishment. Nina met her while calling in a favor, something that club owner Nicky Pike owed her plenty of. They were fast friends ever since, trading stories over dinner and whatever show came with it.
It was a few years later that Nina met Vanessa. She was a young performer from the countryside, much too eager, and far too pretty. Unsurprisingly, Vanessa quickly became Nicky’s favorite, his arm constantly draped low on her hip and his eyes wandering every which way. Vanessa never looked particularly keen, but Nina could tell from the way that Brooke clenched her fists and straightened her back around them that she did not like it. Not at all.
Nina could tell when people were about to slip, and she was sure Brooke wasn’t far off.
“Brooke Lynn!”
Nina’s voice carried across the detention center until it hit the blonde on the other side of the room. She was lazily running her fingers through Vanessa’s hair as the brunette practically purred on her lap. Brooke smiled as she saw Nina stride towards her.
“Long time no see?”
“I told you she was gonna get you in trouble one of these days,” Nina said, gesturing to Vanessa, who pouted playfully.
“Hey! It was a team effort,” Vanessa said, pausing for a moment, “if we did it.”
“You don’t know the half of it Nina.” Brooke smirked as she took the handcuffs from Nina’s belt and fastened it onto Vanessa’s wrists as the younger girl giggled. She then took another pair and placed it on herself, looking over at Nina’s raised eyebrows.
“I know how things work here.”
“I know you do. You should also know to not get drunk before getting caught, and definitely not to get caught between your girl’s legs.”
“I hear this lawyer of yours is real good.”
“You wanted to test it?” Nina could feel a headache creep up on her as she regarded the pair. They didn’t seem sorry at all, although knowing Nicky, she wouldn’t feel too sorry either.
“I always liked a good challenge anyway.” Monet walked up beside Nina, looking over the pair and giving a low whistle.
It was going to be a long day.
The evening wasn’t any quieter than the daytime, the noises of the street carrying through Nina’s office window and bouncing off the walls. She had sat down, kicking off her shoes and screwed the top of her flask open. Monet walked through the door as she took a swig, offering the smuggled drink to the lawyer.
“Those girls of yours are something else.” Monet handed back the drink, sitting on the other side of Nina’s desk. “Oh they’re mine are they? I thought we shared custody with all of them being your clients,” Nina emphasized, putting her feet up for a moment.
“Touché.”
“So, what do you think of Brooke and Vanessa?” Nina looked at the lawyer, trying to read her face.
“It’s not gonna be easy Neens, the evidence is everywhere,” Monet sighed, putting her hat back on, making a move to leave.
“Hey hang on, we both know that asshole club owner has been harassing Vanessa for months now,” Nina said, quickly putting her feet down and standing beside Monet.
The lawyer’s face suddenly shifted at the proximity, her tired expression turning into a smile.
“I know, I’m just messing with you,” Nina blushed at the words as she took a step back.
“I’ll take it.”

The sound of the shrill hiss of the bell cut through the chatter of the students, abruptly ending their conversations as they made their way to their classes, albeit at a snail's pace. The first day of school, and everyone was moving slowly. None of them wanted to face the harsh reality of the education they were expected to have. But nevertheless, the students moved in a wave and an onlooker wouldn't be able to differentiate one person from another. But one head stood out among all the rest, her fiery red hair glinting in the light that streamed down from the windows above the lockers. She stuck close to the never ending wall of lockers, her arms clutching her History and Biology textbooks close to her chest. There was a noticeable bubble of space around her, people throwing cautious glances in her direction as they moved to their classes. She didn't mind, in fact, she rather liked the bubble that she had. It gave her less of a chance to come in contact with anyone else. She wasn't much of a people person, and the fact that most people either ignored her or stayed away was perfectly fine with her.
There were a couple exceptions, of course. She had a very small circle of friends and she kept them close to her whenever she could.
But one of those friends had been missing for a good long while.
Barbara Holland.
She had disappeared last year and no one had heard from her since.
She jumped when she felt a hand on her back, turning her light green eyes to see Johnathan coming up beside her. She gave him a soft smile when he grinned at her, his brown hair falling in his eyes.
"Hey."
"Hey, yourself." she responded.
"How are you? I haven't seen you in what feels like weeks." he said, almost bringing them to a complete stop.
She bit her lip, eyes darting away from him. She had purposely been staying off the radar. After everything that happened last year, she wasn't sure she wanted to be seen. Nancy, Steve, Johnathan, the kids, and herself had been through a lot. She needed some time to process it all, and her mind decided to shut down to do it. When that happened, she preferred to be away from the prying eyes of Hawkins High. That always seemed to be a never ending battle, seeing as she had recently been thrust into the spotlight.
Nancy and Steve seemed to go back to their normal routine. Though, it appeared that the events of the Upside Down weighed heavily on Nancy's conscience despite everything that Steve had told them both. She had shut herself away from the majority of the school's population, much like herself.
She blinked when she saw a hand waving in front of her face.
"Ari? You still with me?"
The redhead blinked again, turning back to Johnathan. He had managed to keep her from entirely shutting down. He was insistent on taking her out, keeping her mind occupied. He would take her to the movies, rock climbing, hiking, or for a photography drive. Things she loved doing that would momentarily take her mind off of everything else. He was the one that turned out to be her rock, and she tried to return the service. He was one of her best friends, and she appreciated him more than he knew.
"Yeah," she said after a moment, clearing her thoughts. She caught a glimpse of Tina passing out fliers before turning her full attention back to Johnathan. "Sorry. Just a bit...distracted."
This time, he did stop them, laying his hands gently on her shoulders. "Talk to me, Ari. You're not gonna shut down again."
She smiled, nodding. "No, I won't."
He still wasn't satisfied, and she knew it. But he dropped the subject with just a displeased look. "Why don't you come over for dinner tonight? Will would love to see you."
That sent a pang of guilt through her heart. Like Will and Barbara, she had spent time in the Upside Down. She had seen and done things that still haunted her nightmares. If she wasn't forcing it out of her mind, she could still feel the sticky black blood coating her hands. But unlike Barbara, she came out of it relatively unscathed. She and Will had grown close in that darkened world as they both breathed in the same poisonous air. She had tried her hardest to keep them both sane and safe. For the most part, she succeeded. But she had been pulled out by Johnathan and Nancy, through the old twisted trunk of a tree. She had been pulled out before she could help Will. Before she could make sure he was properly safe from what he had called the Demogorgan. She had done a fair amount, but it was nowhere near good enough. He still suffered because she had left.
She paused for a moment before answering. Since her return, her parents had hardly let her out of their sight. But, she figured, this would count for something.
"Okay." she said.
He smiled before nodding, putting an arm around her shoulders and heading down the hall.
"Watch yourself, Byers."
"Don't let her open her mouth."
"You do realize she's dangerous, right?"
"Dude, I heard she talked a guy into blowing his brains out."
"I'm not surprised. She lives up to her name."
Ari glared at the guys who threw insults in their direction. She almost bared her teeth in a snarl, taking a step forward. They jumped backwards and away, not wanting to be anywhere near her. She smirked as they tucked tail and ran in the opposite direction. Johnathan turned to her, concern once again taking over his features.
"What's that about?"
She shrugged. She had been considered an outcast before her three week disappearance. But, because of her looks, she still had jocks trying to get in her pants. She had a rather...interesting...way of dealing with them. But they didn't always take the hint.
Therefore, she had earned her nickname.
"Watch out for Siren, Byers. I don't want your kid brother to have to go through losing his brother."
She rounded on the other guy, stalking towards him, books lying forgotten in the hall. Johnathan quickly grabbed her and and pulled her back, planting her firmly on the ground in front of him, his eyes searching hers. After a moment, her rage dissipated, leaving behind an exhausted expression before she rubbed her forehead and picked up her books.
"Sorry." she muttered to her friend. She was sick and tired of being treated like the plague. She didn't mind if people avoided her, but it was the comments that really got to her.
"Forget them. They're losers."
She snorted in response, rolling her eyes and starting to walk to her class once again. She held her head high, ignoring the many eyes that followed her, their scrutinizing gazes ripping her apart.
By lunch, she'd had enough. She gripped her messenger bag tightly as she stalked out of the school, her lips set in a thin line. She made her way towards the parking lot, weaving through the students that were in her way. She sighed as she found peace in her parking spot beside the old oak tree. She sank to the ground, leaning her back against her 1973 Harley Sportster. It wasn't long before she was joined by Will, who managed to sneak away for lunch. She grinned at him as he sat beside her, crossing his legs as he grabbed the sandwich out of the brown paper bag. She ruffled his hair before handing him the spare Coke that she kept in her bag. He took it without a word, nodding his thanks to her.
She turned her head slightly when she heard footsteps approaching. By her count, it was a group of guys headed to their cars. She decided to pay them no mind, instead grabbing an orange from her bag. They had made it around the tree by the time she got it peeled, handing half of it to Will. He took it with a thank you around a mouthful of food.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?"
Ari stifled a groan when she recognized the voice of Tommy H. He was one of her biggest tormentors, and there were several others that followed his lead, seeming to hunt her in a pack.
"Looks like two freaks hiding from us. Where's the stalker, Siren?"
Ari glared at them before flashing a glance to Will. There was no way she was going to start something in front of him. But if worse came to worst, she would end it.
"He's standing right beside you, Mason." she said, turning her gaze on the junior that stood to the left of Tommy. "Didn't you know? Tommy here has been following me around since we were kids. He's just pissed I won't give him what he wants."
There was a chorus of 'ooooh's' that followed her statement, the eyes of his group turning on Tommy. He glared at Ari.
"I didn't think you were allowed to be within five hundred feet of the Byers kid. What, I mean with you being the one that kidnapped him and all."
Tommy leaned down and grabbed Will's arm, hauling him to his feet.
"Get off me!" Will shouted.
"Don't touch him!" Ari hissed, jumping to her feet and staring Tommy down.
He snorted at her. "Some sicko you are. I'm just trying to keep the boy safe from the woman that held him against his will in the woods forever."
"Let. Him. Go." she enunciated. She was protective of the youngest Byers boy, and she would go to the ends of the earth to keep him safe. And right now, Tommy was the one that was threatening his safety. Ari saw the tight grip he had on the twelve year old, and the way the Will glanced up at him in fear. The image made her blood boil and her vision turn red. But she couldn't afford to be the one to throw the first punch.
"What kind of sick bastard gets off on grabbing little kids, huh?" she demanded, her eyes narrowing.
As soon as the words were out of her mouth, Tommy jerked away from the kid as if he had been burned. He shoved the kid towards Ari, and Will wrapped his arms around her torso. Seeing the way Tommy wound up, she gently but quickly untangled herself from Will, preparing for the hit that she saw coming. She clenched her jaw and redistributed her weight.
But before she felt the blow, a hand entered her line of vision, clamping down on Tommy's fist, stopping it in it's path. Surprised when the blow didn't come, Ari took a step backward when a denim clad figure stepped in front of her, shoving Tommy backwards.
"There a problem here, gentlemen?"
Will darted back to Ari, wanting to make sure she was fine. She put a hand on his head, ruffling his hair as she glanced down at him with a small smile. "Go back to class, Will." she said softly.
He gave her a frown, not wanting to follow her order. But when he glanced at the other guys and back to her, he nodded cautiously. He quickly grabbed his bag and started sprinting towards the middle school.
"No, Billy."
Ari crossed her arms, glaring at the group of guys that had surrounded them. The one that stepped in front of her, apparently named Billy, stood with his hand son his hips as he talked with Tommy and the others. Deciding to bow out while she still had the chance, she grabbed her bag and almost disappeared into thin air as she headed back into the high school.
"Dude, where'd she go?" Mason asked, pushing past Billy and looking around.
Billy turned, a frown on his face, as his eyes scanned the area looking for her. His eyes narrowed as he spotted the head of bright red hair stepping into the building.
By the time the school day was over, Ari's head was spinning.
"Oh my God, have you seen the new kid?"
"How could I not?"
"He's such a dream."
"I wouldn't mind a ride on that horse."
"I heard he's got a record."
"Where's he from?"
"Cali, I think. I'd like to kiss that skin as much as the sun has."
Johnathan caught up with her as she made her way out of the school, rubbing her forehead as she went. "Kill me now." she muttered.
He chuckled, knocking his shoulder into hers. "Sorry, no can do, Red. You promised to come to dinner tonight. Besides, you didn't survive three weeks on your own to give up now."
She rolled her eyes before Nancy came up to them. "Hey, you guys are going to Tina's party?"
Ari groaned. "You serious, Nance?" she asked. "You know I hate crowds."
"I didn't get an invitation."
Nancy rolled her eyes. "This is me inviting you, idiot. Come on, Ari."
Ari frowned. "I don't know. I've got a lot of things to do."
Nancy sighed. "Think about it?"
"...fine."
She and Johnathan quickly dove into a conversation, leaving Ari to fend for herself. She quietly excused herself, leaving her two friends behind as she walked back up to her motorcycle. Tightening the strap on her bag, she swung a leg over the body of the bike, pulling on her helmet as she did. She started the engine, smiling when she heard the familiar roar. She loved consistency, and the fact that she could always count on her bike made her cherish it even more. She glanced around before moving out of her parking spot, headed towards the road. But what she failed to notice was the blue Camaro parked a few spaces in front of her, the occupant watching as she moved. A cigarette dangled from his lips and smoke poured out if his nose as his keen eyes watched her. He watched until she turned into the highway, moving out of his line of sight. And he waited until the passenger door opened and the young redheaded girl plopped into the seat before stomping on the gas and skidding out if the parking lot. She cursed at him as she slammed the door shut, looking for the seatbelt that would undoubtedly save her life. "Are you insane?!" she demanded, gripping the door as he peeled onto the road.
He quickly caught up to the black motorcycle, smirking as he did. The rider turned when she heard the roar of the muscle car behind her, which she was surprised was louder than the engine of her bike. He took the cigarette out of his mouth, letting it drop out of the window as he stepped on the gas, pulling up beside her in the opposite lane. But because of her tinted visor, he couldn't see the shocked expression that she wore as he recklessly drove beside her, traffic laws be da****. He motioned for the younger girl to toll down her window, which she grudgingly did. Billy leaned over the seat, pursing his lips as if blowing her a kiss before he sped up, passing her with the blaring of a rock band and the squealing of tires.
Ari hit the brakes as he continued to speed away, her mouth dropping open. That was the guy that had all the other girls in an uproar?
She shook her head, quickly putting the thought out of her mind as she turned down her street. She had a lot of buttering up to do on her parents, and she needed to start as soon as she could.
She hadn't told them the full story of what had happened. They knew that she had been taken around the same time as Barbara, from the pool outside of Steve's house. They knew she was held with Will Byers. They knew that she kept them alive.
But what they didn't know was how she did it. How she managed to prevent that monster from eating them. Or how she had abandoned Will when Johnathan and Nancy pulled her out. They didn't know of the blood that stained her hands, or the screams of terror that ripped from Will's throat. They didn't know how she got the scars that adorned her back and right shoulder. They didn't know about the ghost pain she experienced, still feeling the monster's thousands of teeth dig into her flesh. They didn't know about the nightmares that still plagued her, waking her in the middle of the night with her body covered in a cold sweat.
And she would never allow them to know. That burden was not theirs to bear. It was hers.
She parked the bike inside the garage, taking off her helmet and allowing her naturally bright red hair to once again spill over her shoulders before handing the black helmet on the wall beside the bike. She plastered on a smile before walking into the house.
This was her life.
This was the never ending horror story of Aria Grey.
