Part 1 - Prologue: 'An Alpha always Protects their Omega, even if Both are being Hunted by another Predator' ---------------

Eddie Brock's P.O.V:

Eddie.

"Hmmm…..Five more minutes, please?…"

EDDIE!!!!

Venom shouting that in my ear at about 5 telepathically in my head makes me shoot up in my nice, warm cosy bed with shout of "CHRIST SAKES, YOU BLOOMING MOTHERFUCKER!!!" then lay back down, hearing him shifting to lean over me.

His symbotiate body rippling like ink in water or oil spreading outwards because literally it was so fluid and almost to mind seductive-looking then ruffling one hand through my hair, yawn to wake myself up and check the time seeing it is about 6:03 in the morning with sunlight filtering through a gap in the curtains of where I now live.

I had moved to nice street house, close to Annie and sold the the Apartment - the old one, that had got trashed literally after escaping from Carlton's goons and Venom well being what he was being the one who had done the damaging in the first place.

Calmly I look up at him. He soon leans down, nuzzling affectionately against my cheek - which truth be told he been doing a lot and without any explanation or reason why - and licking my lips to wet them decide to test myself to see how Venom will react to it.

Turning my face, I kiss him on the cheek lightly and pull back, feeling him peel away from me in the process. This surprises me at the action, because previously he just said "Hungry" when I had done that once and I would get us something both to eat then watch him now solidify until becoming a skinny version of himself almost.

Lying there seeming to want to say something to me in almost could I even say seductive 'Come-hither' pose.

"What's wrong? Venom, talk me to me." I ask, sitting on the side of the bed and he seems to be complementing what do next then his clawed hands reach up to take hold of both of my cheeks.

I'm pulled closer to him, while he seems to be trembling slightly like whatever he is feeling is frightening him him and it is me who makes the first move pressing my lips against his to test his reaction then feel him kiss me back, lifting me up onto my knees so were chest to chest and pelvis to pelvis.

It becomes slow dance of exotic, strange harmony as saliva is either exchanged or dribbles down the side of our mouths and yet, neither of us are wanting to stop what were doing even when their is knock on the front door followed by shout of "PIZZA DELIVERY!!! HELLO, IS ANYONE IN!!! ALRIGHT I'LL LEAVE IT ON THE DOORSTEP." then Venom purrs softly in our kissing, grabbing my ass-cheeks with both hands and giving them a tight squeeze making me release my lips to moan heavily at the action of it.

He sits back, pulling me down into his lap and begins to rip of the t-shirt and boxers to shreds until I'm bare for him then moves one hand between my ass-cheeks where strangely I feel some kind of strange wetness!!!….No, Eddie….it feels more like slickness…..Maybe Venom will know….starting to seep out of my puckered entrance to trickle down the inside of my thighs.

"Eddie. Omega." He purrs out, making me in some strange way understand because of what and where he came from as he calmly and gently, lifts me up slightly as I decide to look down seeing the erect cock he has a bead of what could pre-cum already forming.

Mrs. Chen smiles at the sight of seeing Venom again, when he appears from out of my shoulder throwing him some of her home-baked chocolate cookies - one thing he loved eating, along with biting of heads of bad guys we stumbled into or upon or they stumbled upon us - then scratches under his chin - another thing he liked as well - making him purr heavily in delight.

"What you been doing, Eddie? You look…well….well-fucked to be said." She asks me, making me blush to high heaven and doing a pretend coughing fit as memories of Venom filling me again and again until I was as she just said "Well-fucked" by him into the mattress come to the forefront of my mind.

This causes Venom to turn a bright shade of pink, quickly giving an excuse by eating more of the cookies hearing the shop bell gently tinkling as a another customer comes in making him quickly go back into my body.

Grabbing the plate, I make it look I was eating the cookies and take a bite out of one, finding them surprisely better than supermarket ones as old man with salt and pepper hair, plus glasses as small dog on a lead keeps close to them.

"The usual, Mrs. Chen." They say, making her smile softly and get some packet of custard creams and teabags from behind the counter, while finishing off the last cookie decide to head home.

"Thanks for the cookies, Mrs. Chen." I say, handing her back the plate and head out of the shop into the busy street where people are going back and forth their daily lives, while I head in the direction of home.

Eddie, were being followed.

Venom saying that in my head, makes me go on full-alert mode feeling him rippling slightly under my skin like water waiting to burst out of dam and keep on walking reaching for my phone to make it seem I'm just getting a phone-call from a friend and answering it.

"Yeah. Oh, what? Really, No way, man…just talking about that last night with my neighbour. Yeah, big shit wasn't it. Hmmm…hmm….I hear you."

Turn to the left.

Doing as Venom says, I quickly turn to the left and sink into an alleyway filled with darkness has the person passes by making me stiffen when I feel Venom coming out of my shoulder, inhaling silently their passing scent then satisfied they have gone slips back into my body.

I go to step out the alleyway when suddenly bloodcurdling scream fills the empty silence and quickly running out see a sight that makes me look in shock and how was it possible.

Crimson, pulsating and writhing mass looking like Venom only the vibes coming off them like literally it was like whoever was the Host of this Symbotiate was mad as they grab another person tearing them apart to gorge on them, licking their lips with long forked tongue.

"Mask." I find myself saying, feeling Venom shoot out and ripple over my body to fully cover me as I sink downwards into like I'm falling through water allowing myself to be drag down into the gaping maw below in the abyss.

Venom/ Eddie Brock's P.O.V:

We open our eyes, looking at the Crimson Symbotiate in front of us.

They writhe and pulsate, turning to face me followed by licking their lips clean of the spilled blood and grab another victim licking their face with their long tongue causing a whimper to come from the person they hold tightly in their grip then fling them in front of S.W.A.T causing it to career into at the same-time the Crimson symbotiate slams into us hard.

An explosion of crimson and black happens, followed by snarling at them with fangs bared and saliva forming while forming sharp claws to rip them off our chest to slam them down on the pavement as they peel back the mask of their face to reveal who they are to us.

"Hello, Venom."

We open our eyes, looking at the Crimson Symbiote in front of us.

They writhe and pulsate, turning to face me followed by licking their lips clean of the spilled blood and grab another victim licking their face with their long tongue causing a whimper to come from the person they hold tightly in their grip then fling them in front of the S.W.A.T van causing it to career into at the same-time the Crimson symbotiate slams into us hard.

We wrench free from them. They slowly get up, walking up to us while a red claw slowly touches our chest and strokes downwards as they grin up at us then bring a long tongue upwards to lick some blood that splattered onto our cheek at some point, making us both flinch at this action.

“Enough.” We growl out, grabbing hold of their shoulders to push them back and away from us only for the crimson to start mixing with us and they press closer to us - creating a mixed, writhing mass of jet-black and crimson, while we try to get free.

"I don't think so. I've been looking for you...." They hiss out, long forked tongue flickering out heavily, followed by bringing up their clawed hands to cup our cheeks heavily dragging the claws down as we hear Eddie screaming internally when blood begins to trickle down our cheeks.

Hearing our Omega screaming in pain, we immediately block out everything around us to try and reach out only to be suddenly wrenched away from him by a sudden force.

Eddie Brock's P.O.V:

Being flung away from Venom, I feel his ink-like tendrils reaching out to me only for something to slam away from them hard it sends me flying into a restaurant window where people scatter inside, when I land heavily on the restaurant floor with bits of shattered glass around me, splintered wood and China plates smashed into small white pieces.

Weakly lifting my head, the sight out the shattered restaurant window shows the black fluid-ness of Venom being forced to mix with the crimson symbotiate in such a way it makes me grab a shard of glass gripping it tightly when I clambered out of the shattered resident window feeling blood starting to trickle down the palm of my hand due to how tightly I’m gripping the glass shard.

Approaching the writhing mass of crimson and inky black, there is no second thoughts as I bring the glass shard down into the crimson symbiote's neck hearing it giving a deadly screech of pain when I do so, followed by whirling around to confront who had stabbed it allowing for Venom to wrench free, lunging towards me to roll me out of the way when it slams a crimson barbed tentacle down where I had been standing.

Holding me close to his chest, Venom begins run heavily heading towards an alleyway where he jumps up to the rooftops causing me to grip him tightly being slightly afraid of heights hearing not far behind the other symbotiate starting to follow.

Eddie…..?

“I’m alright…..just…”

Tailing off, I find myself being laid down on the altar steps of an abandoned church, above the rafters covered in cobwebs which billow slightly back and forth due to breeze coming through holes in the roof and above us there is a intact circular, ornate stained glass window of many coloured hues.

His large, clawed hand comes up to cradle the back of my head, sifting through my hair making a trilling Omegan purr – something I had discovered during our Mating that I could form when being appreciated by my Alpha – which makes him lean downwards to start scent-marking me heavily, coating me in his rich, musky scent to indicate to another Alpha I was his and only his.

Bringing my hands to place around his shoulders, soft breathless mewls, gasps and pants begin to fill the empty space as his long tongue trails up and down my neck, causing me to tilt my head backwards to expose it to him more.

At the moment during this short moment of peace, he rolls us both so I'm straddling him where he gives soft nips to my throat - marking me - until pulling back to rest his forehead against mine then yawning heavily, move to lay my head on his chest feeling him wrap his tendrils around me to keep me in his embrace.

There was something about Crimson Symbiote which had felt familiar - like they were someone I knew - and yet, I couldn't remember at the moment who they reminded me off.

A clawed hand massaging my head soothes me, hearing myself making a trilling sleepy purr before slipping my eyes close.

--------------------------------------

Sitting on a rooftop of some apartments, which are across the street from the church bearing a stained circular, ornate stained glass window the Crimson Symbiote watches silently where it can tell where it's prey is within.

A sweet, fertile Omega with such a rich scent it makes them salivate at the thought of capturing them. The opportunity was to much to miss, even if they had an Alpha already protecting them.

The black Symbiote it had heard rumours about from various sources, but to see who was bonded to it made them heat up in such a way it felt like Hunting for Prey.

Soon the crimson mask pulls back slightly revealing behind it a face of a someone who knew Eddie Brock very much from reading the journalist's articles which the man had written and watching him go about his daily life, alongside....the black Symbiote.

A lightening flash illuminates their face, revealing only briefly that of...Cletus Kasady - a serial killer - smirking in delight before the crimson mask covers his face once more, a guttural hiss escaping with fangs forming at the thrill of....continuing the Hunt which had started.

silly rant about sub! eddie brock and sub! venom thanks to @pastelclovds

siren puts her hands together, rubbing them evilly before clicking a button and showing the slides to eager/uneager watchers.

"okay," she pushes a lock of hair behind a ear. "i simply do not understand why is eddie dominating in so many fanfics? especially,"

her eyes glinted. "smut."

siren lays back in her chair before resuming her passionate speech.

"if you watch the movies, it's pretty clear that eddie brock is emotionally starved and also touchstarved. he is constantly shrunk into himself and just look at the state of his house! man needs someone who can take care of him because he is going down a very self-torturing path."

she looks away, coughing out a suspicious sounding 'me, i volunteer!' before rambling.

"and whenever eddie is trying to gain attention, even though he runs a news report-thingy (i forgot the specific term), he's not really confident and is actually quite shy. other than the times when his emotions get the better of him, he's quite withdrawn and doesn't have much friends other than Ms. Chen."

She clicks the button, moving to the next slide: Smut

"If we consider all these emotional factors, then why do people think he will dominate in bed?"

Siren's eyes are widened in genuine curiousity.

"Because it seems to me that he is more likely to bottom and maybe has a praise kink. But! When he came to Earth, he is now one of the strongest, so it might change the dynamics slightly."

Siren claps her hands together. "In the face of a strong, assertive dom, he will sub. Especially in during the heat cycle! His instincts of always being the weaker one will probably take over (considering how often it happened, it might be engraved in his head) and he will willingly beg for release with loud groans emitted, rumbling the walls."

"Maybe he might be a sub but topping sometimes?" She shrugged. "I mean, a couple of rounds would tire anyone, but considering that Venom is an alien, he could go for a couple more. So his urge to dom over a human might take over and would top and ride you while you lay on your back, groaning and moaning all the time."

Siren moved to switch off the projector before grinning. "Considering everything, I would just like to mention THAT THERE SHOULD BE MORE SUB! EDDIE AND SUB! VENOM CONTENT!"

First things first, thank you so much for voting, reblogging, liking, following, and sending in requests. This blog passed 250 followers this week, which is very cool. It is so fun to see how you guys vote, and going through your requests has been a great way to learn a little more about wrestlers that I'm often not super familiar with. My pinned post has been updated with links to the results table and a CSV for my fellow spreadsheet nerds.

Thank you also for being cool about my request regarding violent tags. I haven't had to block anyone yet, and I hope it stays that way.

As for this week's polls, it is VERY amusing to me that you all prefer regular Kane to Corporate Kane by 31 points. That is a LOT. Corporate Kane scored lower than The Boogeyman, who will probably always be my yardstick for smashability. Are you doing better than The Boogeyman? Then you can't be doing too badly.

Around 1/4 of you are clown fuckers! Sinn Bodhi scored 27.3% smash, while a couple weeks ago, Doink the Clown scored 28.3% smash.

Wheeler Yuta tied Orange Cassidy, with both of them getting 77.1% smash. OC received more votes overall (and therefore more smash votes). Looks like Best Friends truly is the most fuckable faction.

Max Caster got 59.2% smash to Anthony Bowens' 74.8%. I'm curious to see how they do as a pair, and what happens when Billy Gunn enters the arena.

Windy City Riot preview

Tetsuya Naito vs. Jon Moxley - This match was announced back in January, but it was only six days ago that Naito's IWGP world heavyweight championship was put on the line.

The IWGP world title is essentially a 2021 reboot of the prestigious IWGP heavyweight championship, which was introduced in 1987. Few non-Japanese wrestlers have held either version of the title; if Moxley wins here, he would join Vader, Salman Hashimikov, Riki Chosu, Scott Norton, Bob Sapp, Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, Kenny Omega, Jay White, and Will Ospreay. Mox would also be the only man to have held the top men's title in WWE, AEW, and NJPW. New Japan has already coined the term "global grand slam" for this potential achievement.

A Moxley world title win would be pretty wild for New Japan. Typically the top belt is heavily protected, and mainly passed around a small group of tippy-toppy guys who are full-time on the Japanese tours. Mox is a part-time special attraction for New Japan, who mainly works one-off appearances in between his dates for AEW. Putting the title on him--outside of Japan, no less--would probably be more of a publicity stunt than a long-term direction, and I suspect they'd get it off of him ASAP. But I can see them pulling such a stunt right now, since Naito doesn't need a long title reign, and you can always switch the title at Dontaku (May 4) or Dominion (June 9) or Forbidden Door (June 30).

The match itself should be pretty damn good. Naito hasn't wowed me against SANADA or Yota Tsuji, but I figure Moxley (and a US audience starved for hot New Japan matches) can make the difference. Every near-fall should mean something. Could Moxley really win the big one? Could Naito really beat the top western wrestler outside of WWE? Could we really see an IWGP championship change hands in Chicago? Could Naito really close the show by speaking English? I don't know about you, but I'm pretty pumped for this.

My brain says Naito will keep the belt until January. My gut says I should listen to my brain. But my heart says fuck that shit, go Mox.

Nic Nemeth vs. Tomohiro Ishii - Nemeth is not defending his IWGP global title here. The original plan was for him to make his first defense against Hiroshi Tanahashi on April 6, but that got delayed by Tana's ankle injury. So I guess the idea is that Nemeth won't defend the title until Tana is ready for the shot he was promised. Of course, if Ishii wins here, he'll obviously earn himself a title match later on.

As Dolph Ziggler, Nemeth spent much of his WWE career in roughly the same level Ishii has found in New Japan, as the guy who can deliver a big match and threaten to beat the top guys without ever really making it to the top. The challenge for Nemeth now is to prove he can go beyond that role, both here with this new championship and in TNA where he's chasing their world title. We'll see how well Nemeth fares in New Japan, but for right now he's not booked against Ishii to lose.

Matt Riddle vs. Zack Sabre Jr. - This is for Riddle's NJPW World television title, so this match will have a 15-minute time limit. Riddle won the belt from Hiroshi Tanahashi in February, who won it from Sabre back in January. So this is Sabre's big chance to get the belt back, and he does want it, but he's really looking past that to get in the hunt for the IWGP world title. This should be a good mix of styles, but they'll have a hard time convincing me Sabre is going to win. Champ retains.

Eddie Kingston & ? & ? & ? vs. Gabe Kidd & ? & ? & ? - This is billed as a "riot rules" match, so there will be no tagging in or at and no disqualification, so the two teams can just brawl all over the place. Six of the eight participants will not be revealed until they make their entrances. This match came about after Kingston and Kidd went to a double count-out in January.

The structure of the match is weird because you'd think Kidd would just team with the rest of the Bullet Club War Dogs, except then it'd be 5-on-5 and David Finlay would be the focus instead of Kidd. Assuming Finlay isn't involved, it'd make sense for Kidd's partners to be Alex Coughlin, Clark Connors, and Drilla Moloney. But that's so obvious that there'd be no reason to keep it a secret if that was the actual plan. And now it seems like they couldn't do that even if they wanted to, since Coughlin abruptly announced his (legit?) retirement. I hope at least one guy on Kidd's team is a genuine surprise and a new War Dog. But I'm not confident we'll get three important surprises on his side.

I won't even hazard a guess who'll be on Eddie's team. It could be obvious choices like Homicide, Mark Briscoe, or Angel Ortiz. Or it could be guys that you'd never see coming but make sense if you know the lore. Or it could be the usual guys who work midcard matches on STRONG shows, and it'll just be like "yeah, okay, I guess."

I assume the destination is Eddie vs. Kidd for the STRONG men's title, which is the only belt Eddie has left since their last encounter, and the only one Kidd was interested in. If so, I think Kidd needs to pin the champion to end this match.

Mustafa Ali vs. Hiromu Takahashi - Ali is the TNA X division champion, but the title is not at stake in this match. This is his New Japan in-ring debut, although he appeared in a January video package to set up this match, shortly after exiting WWE. Ali is a local guy from Bolingbrook, so he should get a hero's welcome nonetheless. Hiromu has apparently brought at least one of his stuffed cats, which is a big deal to me because he doesn't use them enough these days.

This a treat for me since it'll be the first time I get to see Hiromu wrestle in person since he broke his neck in 2018. Hopefully things go better this time! Even so, I think Ali really ought to win in his first match with the company.

Jack Perry vs. Shota Umino - Perry showed up in New Japan back in January to sneak-attack Umino for no obvious reason. That led to a match on March 6, where Perry won and officially joined the House of Torture. Shota has been looking to avenge that defeat with a pinfall over Perry ever since; this may be his last chance to get it.

Perry is still under AEW contract, but he hasn't wrestled for the group since August 31, when he was suspended over a backstage altercation with CM Punk. (You might have heard about it.) That incident led to Punk being fired the day before an AEW pay-per-view in Chicago. Since then it's been an open question how Perry would be received in Chicago, and how he would be presented to handle that. I have to say, "put him in House of Torture" never would have occurred to me.

I expect Perry to pull every trick in the book to get heel heat and milk it for all it's worth. But it probably won't be a typical House of Torture match, if only because I doubt they're flying in EVIL, Dick Togo, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru just to do run-ins. I suppose Perry could get the last laugh in this feud, but something tells me he'll put over Shota on his way out of New Japan, to set up his return to AEW.

El Phantasmo & Hikuleo vs. Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls vs. Tom Lawlor & Fred Rosser vs. Royce Isaacs & Jorel Nelson - ELP and Hiku issued an open challenge to defend their STRONG tag team title against any three teams. This is a standard four-way tag match, so each team gets a corner, and only two men can legally be in the ring at any time. The legal men can tag in anyone from any team. The first man to score a fall on any opponent will win the match and the title for his team.

The three challenger teams have all been mainstays of the STRONG brand, back when New Japan had a dedicated roster for taped weekly television in the US. Nowadays, though, the brand is just used for the occaisonal US-based pay-per-view, loaded up with key guys from the Japanese roster. That transition worked out well for Haste and Nicholls, who became a fixture in Japan. Not so much for former STRONG headliners Lawlor and Rosser; the story of their gradual reconciliation and alliance is barely a blip on the radar. Nelson and Isaacs are even deeper in obscurity; if this match was a three-way I don't even think they'd be on the card.

I don't see any point in changing the tag title here. The best reason to do it is if Phantasmo and Hiku are splitting up to work as singles. The next best reason would be if New Japan wants to put a new coat of paint on the STRONG brand and its titles, and they've shown no interest in doing that. I think the champs retain, and take the belts back to Japan until the next US show.

Stephanie Vaquer vs. AZM - Vaquer's STRONG women's title is up for grabs, but her CMLL women's world title is not. I'm still getting acquainted with both of these women; maybe seeing them live will really make them stick with me. I expect at some point Vaquer will drop the STRONG belt to someone on the STARDOM roster, but I don't think it'll be tonight.

Minoru Suzuki vs. Ren Narita - In January 2023, Suzuki and El Desperado unexpectedly made the save for Narita against the House of Torture. The unlikely trio fell apart in December when Narita betrayed Shota Umino to join the House of Torture. Since then we've seen Despy and Shota square off with Narita, but this is the first time he's had to face Suzuki.

Suzuki is the kind of guy who makes House of Torture bullshit more interesting, because he's arguably more evil and sadistic than the heels without needing any of their nonsense. Even so, I have to think Suzuki's role is to put over the rising young guy. But I'll be curious to see how Narita can pull this one off without a lot of run-ins.

Mina Shirakawa & Viva Van vs. Trish Adora & Alex Windsor - A week ago I couldn't even spell "Mina Shirakawa," and I didn't know anything about her. Now I know she's the woman who keeps running out to kiss Mariah May and drink champagne. So there you go.

I'm guessing the point of this match is to have a woman ready to challenge the winner of the STRONG women's title match. Adora already had her shot, and I don't expect her to get another so soon. So I'm thinking Shirakawa wins the match for her team.

Today i wanna talk about one of my hyperfixations i've got even before i knew what an hyperfixation is.

Megaman but not only Megaman, the Starforce Saga

I wasn't such a fan of the Blue Bomber i played some of the games yeah but they didn't catch my attention at all unlike others like Sonic, Mario or even Crash Bandicoot (i think?)

Until i got my first (and only) DS i got many games (and also thanks to it i started to play the Mario & Luigi saga games) and one of them was this

At first i thought it was something boring like idk what i expected but

Oh gosh how wrong i was, remember that one Max Steel reboot? Well mix it with Evangelion and you get this criminally underrated gem of a game (or should i say GAMES cause there's 3 parts there was about to be a fourth but it was sadly cancelled)

One of the things i liked as that i'm a sucker for interactive RPGs pixelart type of games and my fav part is that you can turn into Megaman whenever you want and not when it's necesary and ofc feel OP the more Battle Cards and experience you get and it has difficult bosses (seriously difficult FUCK YOU ANDROMEDA)

The plot is simple you get this boy Geo Stelar (Hoshikawa Subaru as they say in Nipon) who's father was working on a Space Station called Peace (i think that was the name?) The father and the station dissapeared out of nowhere and since then Geo became an edgy angsty kid who can't make friends cause he's scared of being hurt (Shinji Ikari is that u!?) However Geo meets an Alien called Omega-Xis (or War-Rock) who is like a Symbiont made out of an energy that makes him invisible to the human eye this being called EM wave (Electromagnetic Waves) the two join forces and became Megaman fighting evil guys and becoming strongee together their relationship is like if Eddie Brock and Venom got a more Little Brother/Older Brother type of relation instead of a toxic Yaoi one

You also get some funny characters like Luna (aka Asuka Langley Soryuh) Patrick (aka Mr Femboy) or Solo (aka Edgelord_Mu)

The games are fucking underrated and it pains me as hell so if you have the time to play them, do it.

Eddie watched the pay-per-view.

He told the kid he wasn't gonna, and he didn't think he was gonna but then it was Saturday night and he saw the tweets going around when he and Yuta's match started, and what the hell. Corporate had sent around codes to watch it for free so it wasn't like it was going out of his way. And anyway, Yoots was in his faction or whatever so it wasn't weird. It wasn't anything to get excited about.

It was a good match. Duh, Eddie, what the fuck. They were good wrestlers, anybody off the street knew that. Both of 'em, in their prime, still fucking miles to go before they ever reached the limit of how good they could get. Hot little superstars. Fuckin' everyone knew it.

The kid looked good too. Little red trunks—what, flirting with Danielson? With Regal? Cute. He was cute, he did cute shit and knew it. Eddie grinned when he saw him, and kept grinning, especially when Yoots kept putting him down. The kid never learned to stay down and Eddie sincerely hoped he never fuckin' would.

Then he watched the bite.

It wasn't a mating bite. Surely the ref woulda stopped it if it was, ROH wouldn't have done it even before Tony bought 'em. It wasn't a mating bite, the kid would have had to get him lower on the neck for that.

But Yuta clutched Garcia's head, held him fast for a beat, and Eddie's heart stopped. It just stopped.

He turned it off after that. Didn't wait to see the kid get pinned. Opened a six pack and went through it like it was water, passed out face-down in his bed, woke up raging like a fuckin' grizzly with a headache like a sledgehammer.

Why was he pissed? He didn't give a shit. He never gave a shit about anyone. That was his thing, love 'em and leave 'em. Or more accurately, sort of like 'em sometimes, and then fuckin' kick 'em out.

He was an intolerable bear for a couple more days until he ran outta time and had to go right back to TV. Fuckin' Cody. If it wasn't for that ratfuck betrayer, he'd still be minding his own business on the indies, probably living in his car, working construction on off days. Thanks for nothing, hope you choke on Brock Lesnar's ball sweat.

He flies in on Tuesday night, and ignores the knock on his door. It could be Monkey or Mox, but the chance it's the kid would ruin his night even more than it already was ruined, so no thanks. He stays where he is and watches ESPN until his eyes go crossed, and he passes out. Mature shit.

Down in the lobby, the kid comes at him like his fuckin' deep sea tracker just got activated. "Hey," he says. "What's up?"

"Whatya mean what's up? Same thing as always, pinky," Eddie says, and heads for the shuttle.

"Pinky?" he hears the kid say behind him. "What's that mean? Eddie, what's that mean?" but there's a seat open next to Bryce so Eddie slides in.

"Wanna see a video of my son's first t-ball practice?" Bryce says excitedly.

"Do I ever," Eddie says, and he watches a choppy, blurry, first too-zoomed-out and then too-zoomed-in video of a vaguely kid-like shape eating grass in left field for fully the entire five minute ride to the venue, and thanks his lucky stars for it.

He manages to avoid the kid at the venue too, although mostly by blind luck. They're gonna have a big rematch eventually, so they make Garcia cut another promo surrounded by his ding-dong dads talking about how unfair his loss was. Eddie can hear them from catering, where he sits safely surrounded by all his boys. It's good they're keeping the feud going, honestly. The two of them are already pretty over, and if they play their cards right, they could keep coming back to this feud over and over again for the next twenty years.

And if they end up mating each other, it'll even be bigger news. Wrestling media won't be able to get enough of the possibilities of an alpha/omega mated couple wrestling each other. Eddie knows. The rumors about him and Mox back in the day were hot, but he and Mox never got it together. If those two are smart, well—if they're smart, they won't need advice from him..

Like clockwork, the kid comes into catering and scans the room. He sees Yuta first, and goes over to the table, says something that makes lil fuckin' Yoots beam up at him. Eddie thinks about the look on Yuta's face when Garcia bit him. Wonders when Garcia'll do it for real, whether he'll do it on the road. Whether the kid will move down to Philly, or Yoots will go to Buffalo. Could go either way—they're young. They're just kids. They got their whole fuckin' life ahead of them.

"Hey," Garcia says, standing in front of him. Eddie startles like someone's got him with a taser. He hadn't even seen the kid moving. "Where have you been?"

"Here, mostly," Mox drawls. "Your dads take you down to get a snack?"

Garcia ignores him. "You got anything to do before shit starts?" he asks. "Wanna take a walk?"

Monkey leans in. "I think my man's good here," he says. Eddie loves both of them more than he can stand. He didn't even say nothin' to them, but they know him. Both of them know him more than he's ever let anyone know him in his life.

The kid waits a beat, waiting for Eddie to disagree, to say something else. Eddie doesn't, just stares down at his chicken and rice.

"Okay," the kid says slowly, the hurt evident in his voice. "Aight, I get it."

When Eddie looks up again, he's gone, hurrying out the room and shouldering past his dingdong dads.

"Sometimes," Mox says casually, conversationally, mildly, "I really wanna beat you upside the head until I knock some fuckin' sense into you."

"I wish you fuckin' would," Eddie says, and stabs his plate so hard the plastic knife breaks off in his fist.
