Haru smiled as she handed the newly embroidered handkerchief to Akira, proud to present a new product for Cafe Noir.

“It was a little tough at first to get the shapes right. But I think the design turned out cute.”

“I agree. I’m sure the customers will love these.” Akira said, smiling as he took in the details of the flowers and black cat faces

But his smile fell once he looked at her and noticed her bandaged fingers. He gently took her hands into his as he took a closer look. She’d chastise him for being so protective but honestly she was one to talk. Even with their time as Phantom Thieves in the past, they both couldn’t help but worry about each other.

“Don’t worry, they’re just a little sore right now. They’ll heal up quickly.”

“Hm… maybe I should help speed up your recovery.”

“Huh?”

Before she could ask what Akira meant, he began to place gentle kisses on each bandaged spot.

How embarrassing, she and Akira had been together for how long now? And he was still finding ways to make her blush like in their school days.

Soon enough, he looked up at her.

“Did that help?”

Haru giggled, “Yes. I feel so much better already.”

Kohana!! <3333 *huggles* James already asked me about Taang but I can always talk about the ship. <333

What made you ship it?

The Swamp caught my intrigue; The Blind Bandit cemented it with its spectacular writing. Toph seamlessly fit into the group and even though I was entirely positive K@taang was still going to be endgame, I wanted to see where their relationship would go. Seriously, him seeing her in a vision first and then just recognizing her by her laugh? Poetic cinema. <333 God, I remember us Taangians dreading anything happening to Toph because of "In the swamp we see visions of people we lost, we loved...." line and we were like, "Yo, is something going to happen to her?!" The fic fodder was endless back then. Endless.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

They are two goofy kids who can be bad influences on each other (The Runaway) while also helping each other improve (Aang becoming more assertive; Toph having the freedom to be herself and not hide anymore). They butt heads sometimes. They are besties. They could've fell in love and never lost that dynamic. Like I told James, Aang being Toph's first friend just gets to me. T____T

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I did share that I personally can't explore the Kummi/Taang theory with a romantic lens (doesn't stop me from eating it up because it is delicious food) and that I also didn't fault Toph in Bitter Work as much as the fandom did when the episode first aired. So those are my main ones.

But I thought of another that may or may not be a popular opinion: Taang could exist on its own. It didn't need another ship (namely Zutara) for it to work.

Context: I fell for Taang first, but it took the hiatus between season two and season three and chatting with Clear and getting her perspective for me to ship Zutara so it was annoying when some people accused Taang of only existing to get Aang away from Zutara.

Zutara would have never needed Taang for it to happen and vice versa. Haven't heard anyone say it in years but that annoyed the crap out of me.

1. Die Trying ~ aespa

Suuuuch a bippity boppity BOP! I love the intro and the bridge the most. And the lyrics make me feel so empowered: "Hands around my neck, I don't break a sweat. Never wave a white flag, I'll die trying."

2. Afraid ~ Day6

First off... I miss Day6 so much. Their discography is so gorgeous with so much meaning. Such as this song: It has beautiful background music that makes me feel like I'm featuring in a Shinkai movie, but the lyrics deal with a darkness, a worry I sadly can relate to.

3. Journey to the Past ~ Aaliyah

Her voice, the way she conveys the emotions of longing, of hope, so so beautiful. (It's been over twenty years, but I still miss her.) Also, yes, I should rewatch Anastasia someday.

4. Bubblegum ~ NewJeans

So sweet, so adorable. How can I not like this?

5. bellyache ~ Billie Eilish

I love the contrast of the upbeat tune to the macabre lyrics. Well done, Billie.
