Everyone’s maybe not doing so good and could use a little warmth.

6.5k, Lucretia & Taako Near the end of the century, Lucretia is feeling rough. Taako pulls her out of her funk and initiates a much needed rest. Fantastic characterization, of Lucretia as a whole, and the loyal, warm side of Taako. Warning for mentions of a suicide attempt and suicidal ideation.

As if on cue, he watches the tires crush it to pieces. “Whoops,” he says. - Lup is trapped. And then she isn’t. --- In which Taako breaks his umbrella during the Petals to the Metal race, unknowingly freeing Lup, who is almost immediately captured by Kravitz. After becoming a member of the Raven Queen's retinue with Kravitz as her trainer, she has two missions: 1) find her family, and 2) ruin Kravitz's afterlife. A story about enemies becoming friends and lost families finding their way back to one another.

197k (currently), Lup & Kravitz Incredible characterization. I love the way Lup is written. Hilarious shenanigans, sweet friendship-building, and terribly sad sometimes, because it dives deep into the reality of Lup existing in a world that's forgotten her.

76k (currently), IPRE crew The premise for this one is incredibly offputting, but I'm so glad I gave it a chance. The characterization and quality of writing is absolutely wonderful. I also love the attention to detail of the realistic difficulty of just surviving. Fantastically atmospheric, this fic dives deep into the uncertainty and fear of the first cycle, when the crew are all strangers, and the love that turns them into a family. Warning for extensive discussion of sexual assault.

300k, Davenport A series of four works set in an AU where Davenport is an emissary to the leader of the gnomish pantheon. My absolute favorite depiction of Davenport, ever. The first three works are explorations of Davenport as a character and the relationships between people and gods in a DnD world. The last, Lost Gods, is the best fanfiction I've ever read. I can't express how good it is. The attention to detail among myriad plot threads, the building of themes, the characterization across just about every single character in Balance, all come together to create 223k words of a genuine masterpiece.

Ambessa x blind reader

       Y/n sat hunched over beside Ambessa  as she talked to her war council, their finger running over the bumps in the pages of their braille book. Ambessa looked over at them fondly before she quickly looked back up her face hardening and continued to talk to her council. Though her darling was too busy reading to care much about what they were talking about.

   Y/n looked up when they felt a light tap on their shoulder. “The meetings over Sweetheart let's go back to our room.” I nodded, marked my page with a bookmark, closed it and stood up taking her strong arm.

    As we walked down the hall they asked, “So how did the meeting go?”

    Ambessa chuckled, “You were there Darling.” She replied simply. 

    I looked away, face a little hot, “It was a really good book…” We reached our room and paused out the door. 

   “If you want, once we change I could read some to you.” She suggested caressing Y/n’s face lightly. Leaning into it, so their face was turned into Ambessa’s hand.

   “That would be nice.” Y/n said.

   Opening the grand door to their shared room shagging out of their fancy cloth into more comfortable ones and laying in bed. Y/n’s head resting on Ambessa’s chest, one of her muscular arms wrapped around their waist the other holding a copy of the book they were reading. Her soothing voice almost a whisper as she read it.

   Cuddling up to her more they thought about how lucky they were. Most people know her as the brave and terrifying warlord of Noxics and they knew her as that too, but they also knew her as their caring, tender and sweet lover and that was an honor very few people knew. They would always feel grateful that Ambessa trusted them enough to let her walls down and let them love her.

   Eyes barely open they didn’t even realize they were falling asleep till they felt a soft kiss on their forehead and their lover whisper, “Goodnight Darling sleep well.” shortly after falling into a comfortable sleep.

1) The first image got me concerned after drafting process. The pencil/paint was the original style planned but it felt like a hassle adding all the organic textures altogether. So I settled with a lineless-hard brush technique for (again) experimentation!  The creature prior his current look

2) Image 3 was more or less forced during the making, especially for bringing up the first two OCs, Fairuza & Sepphora. These designs are not final, but they’ll shine again in the future!

3) Pic 5: It’s not often Evren’s seen in the flesh story-wise, but I enjoy drawing her design.

4) The last image is another hard brush practice and a small design update on Gunnhildr’s fiery effects. This dragon’s breath opal-based deity burns upon contact, but that doesn’t stop the floral princess-dragon hybrid

The Tempus Gender System

An Overview

The Tempus gender system is made up of two twin gender systems, each with their own terms and poetic meanings.

There are two meanings for each gender, their masc-fem-neu-xenic alignments, and the secondary description of the gender, so if you reject the alignment system altogether, you can still use these as sort of scene genders.

The Noxic gender system is mirrored with the Diesic gender system in the overarching Tempus Gender System, the Vespic and Auroric genders being demigenders of them.

For a combination of Diesic and Noxic, the two roots would be combined Noxic-Diesic, i.e. Vitalunatempic for a gender that is like night over nature and the moon in daytime together.

For a gender that isn't described by the system or if someone doesn't wish to describe it, Noxic / Diesic / Tempic or Othernoxic / Otherdiesic / Othertempic works as well.
