Person: "Hey what's your type?"
Me: "What's my type? Could you please be specific?"
Person: "Your favorite comfort characters I guess?"
Me: "Oh! You mean these guys as my comfort characters?"
Also me- *Chooses the weirdest comfort characters ever.*
I feel like I always choose the weirdest comfort characters ever. Like, how would I even describe my type in all honesty because it's weird?

Okay I've posted these ideas before somewhere but hear me out:
Cosmic Fury signalling the end of Power Rangers (And the end of an era that it has been an honour to have been there for the start of. 90s kids stand up) has made me think of where Western Tokusatsu adaptions and reboots could go from here.
Obviously I love the idea of rebooting PR for an older universe and (Like I did in one of my fanfics, to an extent) tying the various seasons together in a more unified continuity...And I like the idea of making it animated.
But....
Beetleborgs.....Kids who wished for the powers of their favourite comic book heroes came out in the 90s, before the MCU and comic IPs beyond the big three being household names, before Crunchyroll and widely available manga and anime. There is a ton of potential in using a Beetleborgs remake as a way to really examine comic book tropes and the tone of the original show would leave it open to a dark action/horror comedy.
VR Troopers.....Again a 90s show, based around a virtual world in an era before the smart phone and actual functioning AI and we live a world where 'Evil Billionaire' is an actual legit threat we face. The potential for a VR Troopers reboots that goes beyond the scope of the original show is huge. Although they'd have to knock the casting out of the park with Grimlord, because if you can't make "Force of darkness empower me, take me back to my virtual reality" sound legitmately imposing then you're not the right person for this.

It's been decades since I watched it so I honestly forget, did they ever say what the plot of the in universe Beetleborgs comic was?

Well, the show is seemingly dead and hope is pretty damn thin, despite me just having watched the show less than a month ago, so, I may as well toss this out now, colors will come in a follow up when finished...
Meet, Kiki Knóht, huntress of Team IKRN (pronounced Icterine by allies and friends, acorn by mocking enemies)
Her weapon is Midnight's Bite. Twin chakrams that combine into a compound bow type ranged weapon, or shift into spider robots that both scurry around to scout areas, and grab hold of varied surfaces to embed and act as swinging points for Kiki to swing from on an energy rope/beam.
Kiki was born a boy but got helped early enough nobody would know.
She's 18, just very shy. And her team are all bug themed queer folks. (A redheaded Ace Enby leader grasshopper karate swordsman who always has a red scarf, Kiki herself and two gay dating women of color, one a protective lady with twin cleavers she combines into a shield, and the other a rollerblader who loses her legs and becomes a mobile tank tread chainsaw user with a caterpillar theme.)

So this is my Wednesday fleamarket finds. It started out basic. When I found Super Troopers 2 and an empty Switch case, both for $2.00. After that I found, quite a bit of nice stuff. An old lady had a table full of goods. Many in bad condition. But I still got decent stuff after checking them. Some good blurays! I've been holding back on buying a few of these new in hopes of finding them used. And patience paid off! And I also got some videogames too, a few have outer water damage and a few dusty. But I had hopes I would get a deal on them. I guess I did, as I paid $26 dollars for all.
Another seller had good media this week. He had like 5 or 6 milk crates full of music cds. A lot of people were going through them. And I saw they got good tunes. I took a look through one, and I grabbed a bunch of Electronic trance/dance music. Years ago I had some of these, but they got old and worn-out. But I recognized the font. So yeah I got them. And going through more boxes, I picked up some manga and comics. I tried real hard to find volume three of that manga, but no luck. I also found a Tokyo shock dvd. Those are weird movies but fun to collect. Speaking of weird. I also got a VHS of Saturday morning fox kids/ Saban Entertainment Beetle Borgs. That show was quite goofy, especially since they didn't have much to copy from it's Japanese source material. And all of this fine media cost me $23 dollars.
