I think 90% of my gripes with how modern anime looks comes down to flat color design/palettes.
Non-cohesive, washed-out color palettes can destroy lineart quality. I see this all the time when comparing an anime's lineart/layout to its colored/post-processed final product and it's heartbreaking. Compare this pre-color vs. final frame from Dungeon Meshi's OP.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So much sharpness and detail and weight gets washed out and flattened by 'meh' color design. I LOVE the flow and thickness and shadows in the fabrics on the left. The white against pastel really brings it out. Check out all the detail in their hair, the highlights in Rin's, the different hues to denote hair color, the blue tint in the clothes' shadows, and how all of that just gets... lost. It works, but it's not particularly good and does a disservice to the line-artist.
I'm using Dungeon Meshi as an example not because it's bad, I'm just especially disappointed because this is Studio Trigger we're talking about. The character animation is fantastic, but the color design is usually much more exciting. We're not seeing Trigger at their full potential, so I'm focusing on them.
Here's a very quick and messy color correct. Not meant to be taken seriously, just to provide comparison to see why colors can feel "washed out." Top is edit, bottom is original.
You can really see how desaturated and "white fluorescent lighting" the original color palettes are.
[Remember: the easiest way to make your colors more lively is to choose a warm or cool tint. From there, you can play around with bringing out complementary colors for a cohesive palette (I warmed Marcille's skintone and hair but made sure to bring out her deep blue clothes). Avoid using too many blend mode layers; hand-picking colors will really help you build your innate color sense and find a color style. Try using saturated colors in unexpected places! If you're coloring a night scene, try using deep blues or greens or magentas. You see these deep colors used all the time in older anime because they couldn't rely on a lightness scale to make colors darker, they had to use darker paints with specific hues. Don't overthink it, simpler is better!]

Hey, will you write a cassian x reader fic inspired by the song Creepin by Metro Boomin & the Weeknd?
My fault.
Summary: They never liked her. Thought he was too good for her. She did not realised the lengths they would go to hurt her.
•○●⛦●○•
Tw: self loathing, cheating, asshole inner circle, reader does not think herself worthy of love. that's all, me thinks, but if there's more, lemme know.
A/n: thank you for the request anon! i enjoyed writing it so much 🥹 so sorry for the long wait my love❣️
(the inner circle is kind of a bitch in this, not Nesta though. she is an angel. reader has no freakin backbone, so dont read if its no your cup of tea)
with that out of the way, i might do a part two if everyone wants it. I have it all planned out 😏
anyways, enjoy!
(heheh @artists-ally and @aroseinvelaris i hope this makes you cry. the snippets were just the snacks. this is the meal)

Y/n stared at her best friend of centuries, numbness spreading through her chest the longer she thought about the information she had just received.
"Y/n? Please say something." Nina begged, her eyes shining with tears, pleading.
"What is there left to say?" Y/n mumbled, taking a deep breath as she turned her gaze towards the empty cup that sat in front of her, picking at her cuticles. "Are you... are you sure it was him?"
Y/n knew it hurt Nina to be the bearer of the bad news, and she felt bad for asking her more about it. But she needed to know. "Yes. I don't think many Illyrians walk around with seven glowing rocks on their body."
Y/n nodded absently.
They sat a few moments in silence, letting the scrape and clinks of the cutlery fill the space between them.
It was supposed to be a girl's day today, and it had been fun, until Nina had gotten that sad, guilty look on her face as the two of them sat sipping on tea at a small cafe in the heart of Velaris.
Y/n almost regretted asking her friend what the matter was. Almost.
When the quiet became unbearable, Y/n stood with a deep sigh, grabbing her purse from the table in between them. Nina followed. "Y/n?"
"I think it's getting late. We should go home. He will be returning soon."
Y/n could see Nina's heart breaking for her friend, but she did not want anyone's sympathy.
"You are going to go back? To that house? To him?"
Y/n released a frustrated breath as the two of them left the cafe, spilling out into the packed street. "What else am I supposed to do? Run away?"
"Yes! He does not deserve you. Please tell me you will leave?"
Y/n looked away from Nina. "You know me, Nina. I have never been one to just up and leave."
It was almost common knowledge at this point. Everyone who knew Y/n, knew she would rather stay in a relationship in which she was the only one making an effort than leave. And she knew she probably was weak for not standing up for herself, the couple of relationships she's been in before showing that, but she simply could not bring herself to forget the teachings of her long dead mother-
That it was a female's job to keep her partner satisfied, and if he sought out other women, then it was the female's fault that she could not satisfy his needs.
Y/n did not think she would ever be able to stop being that timid, shy female who would just cry in the safety of the darkness in her room when someone hurt her.
She hated herself for it.
Nina was the only one who understood Y/n's reasoning and did not give her shit for it. She was the only one who tried to gently guide Y/n to stand up for herself. She never judged Y/n for crying.
"I..." Nina took a deep breath before nodding, rubbing Y/n's back. "I hope you someday find it in yourself to leave him before he..."
Nina did not say it, but Y/n heard it nonetheless.
Before he left her, disposed in favour of someone better. Someone more beautiful, someone more confident and loveable.
Y/n nodded, blinking back tears as she moved to hug her friend, who was more of a sister than anything at this point.
"Thank you." Y/n murmured into Nina's shoulder, her voice breaking. She felt Nina nod against her, giving her a rueful smile after they pulled away.
"Take care, Y/n."
Y/n nodded, turning away. "You too."
•○🌑○•
Y/n searched his face for something, anything, to show her that what Nina had told her was just a lie. That maybe she was mistaken.
Y/n came up lacking.
Now that she thought about it, the signs were always there. She was just too busy pretending that everything was fine. That Cassian was not like her previous lovers. That he would not throw her to the side, out of his life, for someone else.
That he loved her.
She now saw how foolish she'd been. Every male put on this land by the mother was the same. They only wanted females who were confident, who knew how to give them what they wanted.
She remembered how he had become recently. Yelling and picking fights over the smallest things.
The first time it happened, he was deep in his work, and Y/n had dropped something, making a loud sound and startling the both of them. Usually, Cassian would have given her a small smile and just gone back to work. But not that day.
That day he had glared at her, which was almost worse than the words that he mumbled next.
"When will you stop being clumsy?"
He had spoken under his breath, but Y/n had still heard. She stiffened.
"What?"
He sighed, his frustration evident. "When will you stop being clumsy?"
His voice was loud, almost booming, echoing in the painful silence after. Tears filled Y/n's eyes as she stared at him.
"Great. Now you are crying." He leaned back, dragging his palms down his face. Y/n ducked her head.
"I'm sorry." With that, she had shuffled out of his office, hoping she had not angered him too much and that he would forgive her.
Y/n watched, as Cassian threw back his head and laughed at something his family said, his hand on his abdomen.
She knew he had recently begun pulling away, knew he felt trapped by her.
And so she had let him do what he wished, made herself smaller to make space for his happiness.
Maybe that's where she had gone wrong.
She could tell he felt freer in this moment. Could tell by the sparkle in his eyes and by the constant smile and joy on his face.
She watched through the window as his body shook with the bouts of laughter his family pulled from him. She stood outside of the small gates that guarded the River estate of the high lord and blinked away her tears.
She had not seen him this happy in months now, and she had to fight off the jealousy that simmered in her gut. After all, she had no right to feel that way after she was the one who suppressed his happiness.
Y/n took a breath, releasing it in a sigh as she made up her mind. She needed to talk to Cassian, and then she would go back home, to the place she and Cassian had shared. To the place that he stopped living in in the past months, only visiting for the sake of it.
Walking up to the door of the home was quicker than she expected, and suddenly she was staring at the fine wood and considering bolting.
Her hand raised itself before she could do anything else, knocking, and she cursed lowly when the sound of footsteps approached.
The door opened to reveal a beautiful female staring at Y/n with a small smile. She had gorgeous blue-grey eyes, her hair that was wrapped around her head in a crown shining under the faelights.
"Yes? How can I help you?"
Y/n blinked, swallowing, wondering if she looked as miserable as she felt.
"I- is Cassian here?"
The female's brows furrowed. "Yes. Who are you?"
Y/n's eyes travelled to behind the female, where now stood a wide eyed Cassian and a furious looking High Lord. "I..."
Cassian sighed, taking a step forward, making the beautiful female glance back at them. "She's my-"
"She's no one, Nesta." Everyone's eyes snapped to the high lord. Hate spread through Y/n, but she tamped it down when Cassian simply continued staring at his brother instead of defending his wife.
A sudden rush of tears prickled at Y/n's eyes, but she swallowed hard. "Yes. I'm no one."
Cassian met her eyes, his gaze pained. Y/n had the vague feeling of being watched, but she ignored it, directly addressing her husband.
"Can I have a word? In private?"
The high lord opened his mouth, to reject no doubt, but Cassian beat him to it. "Yes."
Y/n sighed, and when she inhaled, Cassian's scent mixed with a soft, feminine filled her lungs . Y/n's wide eyes swung to a confused looking Nesta before glancing at Cassian disbelievingly, and she could see guilt overtaking Cassian's features.
She blinked, letting the tears fill her eyes as she gave him a pained expression.
"Thank you." Y/n mumbled, her tone defeated. Before the high lord could interrupt, she turned away, making her way towards the garden in front of the house, knowing Cassian followed.
When she was sure that no one could eavesdrop on them unless they really wanted to, she turned to her husband.
The two of them just stared at each other, the air around them charged.
Y/n decided to try and break a tense silence. "Hi."
His brows furrowed. "Hi..."
She smiled uncertainly at him as she contemplated her next words. "I... how are you?"
He blinked. "I'm fine. Why do you ask?"
She shrugged, the words flying out of her mouth before she could stop them. "Just feels like I haven't seen you in a long time. I've been worried."
His features softened, his eyes studying her. "I'm sorry. I have been... busy."
She nodded. "I can tell."
Despite her efforts to not let her sadness show, she knew he could tell.
"I- I can explain-"
Y/n shook her head. "There is no need to. I understand."
He blinked again. "What? You... what?"
She gave him a look. "I understand why you did it. I mean... it's not like it hasn't happened before with my previous lovers. I get it."
His mouth opened and closed like a fish, and Y/n continued.
"Look, it's... okay. I won't stop you from it. Just... I don't want to know. If you are playing me, please... keep it low. My heart can't take it anymore. Just don't let me find out. Keep it to yourself." Her voice wavered as she spoke the words that were swirling through her mind since Nina told her about what she'd seen. "Please don't throw me away."
Guilt and shock spread though his face, as if he's just made a realisation and hated it. "Y/n I am so sorry-"
His voice broke, and Y/n immediately began searching for ways to ask for forgiveness and make him happy.
"Don't apologise, my love. I know your family hates me, and I probably deserve it. I... you definitely deserve better. I know you do. And I understand." She took a deep breath, knowing she was rambling but she could not stop. "I- I am so sorry I could not give you what you want, but please, Cassian, don't-"
Cassian grabbed her face, pulling her into his chest. Y/n stilled, trying to take in a full breath as tears started escaping her eyes as she gasped and clenched her eyes shut.
"Y/n-"
But a sharp gasp cut him off, and Y/n pulled away from Cassian, finding Nesta and Rhysand staring at them. Y/n took a few steps back, not wanting to ruin whatever was giving Cassian the happiness she couldn't.
But Nesta glared at Cassian, and then Rhys. With a start, Y/n realised the high lord was staring at her.
And he had tears in his eyes.
"You were trying to get me to accept the bond with a married male?"
Everything slowed down, and Y/n stared in horror at Rhysand.
"Mates?" She whispered.
Nest looked over, making to step close. "Please forgive me. I did not know that brute was married. I would never have done what I did otherwise."
Y/n shook her head, wondering if there was a way to respond to that.
She settled on the only thing that made sense to her.
"Good night."
She turned towards the gates, and, for the first time since she had met Cassian, ignored the calls of her name by her husband, his brother and his mate as she sprinted away.

The Hellaverse/Vivziepop fandom is the perfect proof of why i hate the arguments of "oh there is no such thing as a toxic fandom! All fandoms are equally toxic! Its always a loud minoriy thats toxic and every fandom is actually nice!".
As someone who has been in multiple fandoms (including some of so called "one of the most toxic fandoms ever"), thats pure fucking bullshit told by lazy people who know that their favourite fandom sucks and they just wanna pretend that there is nothing that could be done about it.
There are fandoms that are healthier, paceful and more mature than others.
There are also fandoms that are more aggresive, rude and toxic also.
If it was true that "every fandom is equally toxic", then all fandoms would have the exact same dramas and polemics, thing that doesnt happens.
For example, not every fandom has multiple cases of people in it harrassing the voice actors, but the Genshin fandom does, thats why it is considered toxic.
Not all fandoms have cases of fans sending death threats to the creator of the show they like over ships, but the BNHA does, and it is considered a toxic fandom.
And not all fandoms have MULTIPLE cases of cyberbulling people for criticizing the show, attacking artist for doing redesigns (even if they didnt have any bad intentions), scaring people off the fandom, acusing people of Bigotry over liking or not liking certain characters, giving rape-apoligyst like speach to justify a shitty ship, making creppy arguments of how consent works to justify rape jokes from the show, gaslighting people into thinking they are bad people for not liking the show(s), invadilating SA victims for not liking how rape was threated in the show(s), defending terrible people just because they participate in the show they like, and even making someone take their life over shipping discourse because their cyberbullying was SO severe. Yet, the Hellaverse fandom does, and they get offended if we say that their fandom is toxic.
And also the thing "its just some bad apples! A loud toxic minority most people are nice!!!" Its also a dirty lie. Because in the Hellaverse fandom, being a terrible person (especially against anybody who dislikes the shows) is constantly encouraged and excused, not only by the fans but by the person they admire, and they will crucify you if you dare to point that out.
They always excuse themselves with "it isnt THAT bad, youre just a hater!", "well the antis makes us act this way!", "but the hatedom is just as bad!", all lame excuses that is so worrying to think that grown ass people are saying this.
Because yeah, your fandom IS toxic, and its a huge problem thats hurting many people, and it will never get better until you guys reconise that is not the fault of antis, haters or the "hatedom", its you, who are at least 70% of the fandom assholes.
Speaking as someone who's been in decades of fandoms, some wonderful and some downright nuts, the HH/HB fandom is easily the scariest and most hostile. I wish I could say I was surprised when we all learned that it had led to a real person's death, but a lot of people have been saying for years now that one way or another, someone was eventually going to get hurt.
The first step towards fixing anything that's gone wrong is to admit that there's a problem. Any member of Viv's fandom, from the fans to the SH higher-ups refusing to admit anything's wrong, isn't actually interested in keeping people safe.

Someone shared an closed species hate Blog with me where someone Was just super angry w dewwings and my adoptables for... being a closed species and pricing things in a way they could not afford I guess.
Man these sort of Blogs are exhausting. Listen its valid to dislike closed species, no one is forcing you to interact with them. Not all of them are good and some are problematic. Thats valid. But I feel like these sort of blogs do nothing but breed hate and contempt for artists trying to make a living wage off of their work. Anytime I see a closed species Blog the hate towards artists and "popular" designers seems to double. I've had people tell others to rip off my art and ocs because I've made a few cs adopts.
Listen, I am poor, I am not rich because I make a few hundred off designs sometimes! 3 or even 400 isn't even half of my monthly living expenses. And I pay over 5,000 in taxes. Its not my fault if you cannot understand that things cost money. I dont have family that Supports me. And the reality is same for many other artists. 30% of every sale I make goes to taxes. My closed species adopts are the same prices as my normal adopts. If my prices bother you than I dont know what to tell you, sorry I need to eat 🤷🏾‍♀️. My follower count does not equate to me being rich. In fact most artists who have 50k followers or more are probably poor as well. I should not have to justify my prices.
I do not own dewwings but I genuinely feel it is a nice and cozy community, it has alot of lore the owner has worked hard on, its a chill place, and I like designing them. It has never tried to gate keep wing traits or night/leaf hybrids. Ever. The owner has said this multiple times so idk why people think that other than they just want to be angry abour something. I've even made night/leaf hybrid adopts w similar traits that weren't dewwings.
My point is. Please be kind to artists. If you dislike closed species thats fine. But it's not an excuse to be horrible to artists or harass them. Its already hard enough being a freelance artist without kids trying to go after you for trying to make enough to get by. If a closed species is not actively harming people and someone enjoys interacting w them, and it bothers you. Please maybe have a look at yourself and ask yourself why that bothers you? Why do you care about someone being apart of a closed species community?

A word or two about AI and our fandom
Over the last few months I've been noticing an increased presence of AIs in this fandom environment. Not that it's something new, they were already here for some time but, although maybe it's just my perception, I see them more and more often.
Being aware of the multitude of fields covered by this technology I would like to talk about what, as a lover of arts in general (not only graphics), makes me uneasy about this matter.
I will start by saying that I am not writing this from a place of rejection towards artificial intelligence, I understand the value and the multiple utilities and advantages it can bring. I will even say that I am attracted to its potential and the promises of improvement that it can provide to certain aspects of life.
But not here, in art. In the most human work there is, it will never have a deserved place.
I remember when, a few years ago, through social networks, we were beginning to see greater support towards artists. Many voices were talking about their visibility, about sharing their creations, commenting, criticizing, interacting with them. It seemed that everyone wanted to support their favorite artists, and who wouldn't? The art world is a hostile place, how could they not support them? It even seemed that the detractors, if there were any, were a bit more hesitant to steal art, leave hate comments etc.
Now, however, I am deeply saddened to visit these same profiles and find "fanarts", "fanfics",... made by an algorithm where the public is full of flattery towards a work generated with, most likely, stolen art. Where has all that gone?
The AI in this environment triumphs with its stunning images, full of colors, "details", "intricate shapes", lighting. Oh yes, they look very appealing and complex. Incredibly attractive (at least until you look at them in detail) and suspiciously similar to each other. As if they were taken from the same book. A part of the public no longer seems concerned about those artists who have their work stolen and amalgamated into an attempt at "art" by companies or individuals who are trying to break into this world with their dubious (to put it mildly) techniques. A painful part of them is content with simply seeing their favorite character in a new "work", no matter who or how they made it or its consequences. And I still hear from them that it is necessary to support the artists. But hear me out, it is not the public's fault, at least not entirely, they are not the ones who steal art nor the ones who are driven solely by the desire to have more interactions on social networks, whatever the price. It may be a false illusion but I prefer to think that there is a lack of information and not that we just don't care anymore.
These days, interacting on networks, sharing what I do or just checking in is difficult. Not only for me, as I personally don't claim any artistic career and it's just one hobby among others, but for my more dedicated peers. I find the daily experience of many artists, being overtaken in numbers, visibility and support by an AI made of stolen art, heartbreaking.
Although I think that the use of these images and texts created by computer is equally ignoble in all art spaces, in particular for "fandoms" where most of us participate in a disinterested way, by and for the same community and with special affection, I feel it especially vile. Leaving aside (for now) the fact of the intentionality and the emotion the artist puts in and its appreciated in their works, I would like to emphasize that these communities are formed by small creators mostly that will feel in a more devastating way, if possible, the impact of this tendency. I would not want to see myself in the position of a small artist trying to carve out a niche in the community by competing against individuals or companies whose only goal is numbers and profit. Interactions, not art or the appreciation of a work. Just the generation of similar good-looking images that are known to do well in networks and collect numbers. And the artists, even if they manage to make a niche for themselves and get recognition for their work, how should they feel when they realize that what they had taken hours, days, weeks or months to create (among many other things), an algorithm can emulate in seconds, as many times as the person wants in the day, with little effort, even earning more recognition than them and, on top of that, based on stolen art?
I won’t dare to call these crude attempts “art”. Not just because of its relation with effort, which is not entirely crucial, but for the absence of intentionality, conscious expression. To say that everything is art is to deny it, but in reverse, because if everything is art, it means that nothing really is it.
A distinction must be made. As part of the community I will say that for me there is no comparison for a work made by a person who feels and loves what they do. All of them have something that cannot be emulated by an algorithm. Coherence, intention,... That's what I look for in these spaces and what I expect from them. Real people enjoying what they do, creating for themselves and gifting something for everyone else in this community. I won’t be praising a covetous individual or a company that steals art and writes prompts with the sole objective of clout. It would be an insult to myself and my peers' intentions and work.
I’d like to remind all artists that they have something incomparable and valuable in their hands and that they’re very much appreciated. To the vile individuals and companies stealing art and farming numbers I won’t bother to say anything since they’ve proven to be selective in what they listen to and my words will just fall into deaf ears. And to the "public" to inform themselves, if they want to. I’ll leave some links with guides on how to distinguish art from computer images.
Excuse my English since it's not my mother tongue.
Note that a lot more information is available on the internet and art communities for those who might be interested

This will go down like a lead balloon with the person who has been messaging you, but the sanctimonious attitude all over social media toward Lando this weekend is every bit as awful as anything he did or said.
99% of those people, including I would put money on the person who has been messaging you, could not have cared less about that trophy before it got broken and I can guarantee knew nothing about its origin or worth and yet now they are acting like he deliberately smashed it against a wall and then personally insulted the artisans. Half the F1 fandom including a lot of the people who have been sending him abuse on social media, were calling it ugly and saying it looked like an urn and should be used for grandma's ashes last week. That is far more disrespectful toward the artist and company than anything Lando did. Not once did he or Max or Red Bull aim any of their jokes toward the artist or the company or the trophy itself. Their jokes were purely aimed at each other.
He apologised to the company who said they weren't angry at him and know it was an accident. They are the only people who deserve an apology. He doesn't need to send them a five page handwritten note self-flagellating himself and publish it on social media for the satisfaction of a bunch of jackals who would then only tear him apart for being 'insincere' or 'only doing it for pr'. He found out how much time went into it and what it meant and he said sorry to the people who made it. He owes nothing else to anyone else, regardless of what those who sit in self-appointed moral judgement believe. There is a nothing wrong in pulling someone up in a polite way or having an opinion that someone is being bit of an ass. However sitting on their high horses and passing judgement and acting like someone's faults makes them the worst person in the world and demanding public apologies for mistakes (I'm not talking bigotry or hate here obviously, that's a different thing entirely, I'm talking the kind of faults that EVERYONE has, yes even those of you who act like self-appointed moral judges) does not make those sitting in judgement good people. Quite the opposite in fact. It's one of the worst parts of online culture, this pitchfork mentality where people go on self-righteous mob crusades. It says nothing good about the people who do that.
The stuff on the radio - EVERY driver gets rude on the radio. They are driving at huge speeds with adrenaline coursing through their bodies and have engineers wittering in their ears often at the worst possible time when they are trying to concentrate. I can promise you that not a single engineer in F1 cares or takes it personally when a driver gets snappy. F1TV only play select radio clips, usually ones that either are important in terms of the race or they think the commentators can turn into some kind of drama. Lando, Lewis and Max are three of the drivers who fall victim to this more than others and every time it happens, people go on a tirade about them being rude whiny awful people and yet in reality they are the 3 drivers who have the best driver/engineer relationships on the grid. They are genuine friends with their race engineers, they have worked with them for years andt their engineers love them. That should tell these judgemental people how much anyone cares about people snapping or getting stressed on the radio in F1 but no, it apparently makes them the devil incarnate.
The comment about the backmarkers - it may have sounded rude but in that instance he was absolutely right. Yuki held him up for almost two minutes, passed 17 blue flags and had to be told 3 times by his engineer to move out of Lando's way before he finally did so and even then he made Lando go out on the marbles to pass him. Checo made up 3 seconds on Lando in that time Yuki was quite frankly being an ass. Magnussen and Zhou were also very slow to let both Lando and Checo past (Checo also complained about it after the race) - not as bad as Yuki but they also held them both up for the best part of a lap allowing Lewis to hone in. People dragged Alex every which way last year when he did the same to Charles in Monaco and Charles said something similar on the radio to what Lando did, and everyone went with 'poor Sharl, evil Alex', but because it's Lando who said it, he's the villain not the guys who almost ruined his race. Not one of those drivers was fighting for anything at the time - they were alone on track, nobody anywhere near them, them getting out of the way would have cost them nothing but some dirty tyres for a lap. Lando (and Checo as well) had every right to be angry.
As for the absurd 'he was so rude about Lewis' carry-on - No, he wasn't. All he did was stated facts. There is something about certain parts of Lewis's fanbase who for some reason lose their minds when anyone points out he has been in front-running cars for the vast majority of his career and even when he has had cars that are not so great, they have not been backmarkers, not even the 2009 McLaren despite what they try and claim. I watched that season, I can promise you it was not close to the slowest car on the grid. Nobody is putting Lewis down by pointing this out. Not Lando, not other drivers in the past who have mentioned it, not the media, not other fans. They are simply stating facts. Max openly says he wouldn't be where he is without having the best or one of the best cars and his fan readily admit it as well, and he spent more time not in front-running cars than Lewis ever did. But when it comes to Lewis, his fans cannot accept the same is true. There have been times in the last 18 months where Lewis has carried on like he is driving a 2021 Haas. Yes he's used to having the best and it's all relative, but can you imagine how galling it is for those who are truly driving cars that can barely fight for p15 week in week out to hear him moaning about having a car that is still capable 90% of the time for fighting for high points scores and podiums? I can promise you they all think far worse things about Lewis and his woe is me comments than Lando's jokes about Lewis never having fought over 19th & 20th. There was more than one race this season where Oscar and Lando were doing just that, where they were dead slowest car on the grid. Also Lando adding "it's the one thing I've achieved that Lewis hasn't" is not a dig at Lewis, it's a self-deprecating joke about himself and how awful McLaren were in the first part of this season.
Lando has joked about this stuff in front of Lewis before. Lewis is not offended. Lewis doesn't care. Lewis likes Lando and his sense of humour and actually knows him and chooses to spend time with him. He's a grown man with his own agency capable of making his own decisions about who he likes and hangs out with. He does not need a bunch of chronically online people with massive parasocial relationship issues getting endlessly offended on his behalf. There is a reason he liked that awful twitter fan's tweet saying she would unfollow him if he posted the selfie he took with Max and Alonso and then posted the selfie a few minutes later. He's not proud to have those people as his fans. He's too polite to say it directly, but knowing what we do of Lewis, I have no doubt he finds them disgusting and has no interest in being associated with people like that. If they think he would admire them or thank them for behaving as they do and going after people he likes and respects like a bunch of rabid dogs in his name or in his behalf, then they know nothing about who he is.
Sorry this is so long, just really needed to rant about all of this. Some people's behaviour in the last couple if days has been abhorrent - far worse than anything Lando has ever done.
please let it all out :)
first of all A-freaking-men.
but this is exactly what im saying, they'll find any excuse to target him. they didn't give a shit about the trophy until it was broken.
to be honest, it's funny how friendly all the drivers are (i can't think of one driver relationship that is bad right now) and how the fans are just at each others throat constantly.
and the backmarkers thing is something that needs to be repeated. lando got held up for almost TWO MINUTES. as an athlete i empathize because i get frustrated all the freaking time and i say things that i wouldn't say if i wasn't chock full on adrenaline.
but thank you.

Total Drama headcanons!
In universe its contrary to popular belief, Heather and Alejandro are still together. When they got together post elimination in All Stars, all that spending time together made them find common ground, they bonded over trauma, their likes and dislikes and since they both like succeeding and showing off, they loved World Tour’s musical aspect (this connects to a fanfic I’ve mapped out in my mind haha). They acknowledge their faults even though it takes Heather a tough time, surprisingly its not that hard for Alejandro though he still struggles a bit- so its like they are their own therapists in that moment.
Even though in the All Stars finale they turned on eachother, it was of course old habits and neither of them resented eachother for it. In fact, they turn it into an inside joke! (They found a way to get couples therapy though- regardless of old habits, they truly love eachother.)
They also, of course, have found other ways to shine- they started a youtube channel that they have together until this day. Theres fitness videos, vlogs which tbh probably have travel vlogs to luxourious countries, mostly song covers and self help tips. The covers are either her singing with him playing guitar, vice versa, them both singing while playing guitar, solo song videos of her and vice versa with him. Seriously, she was the camerawoman for his cover of ‘Los Oruguitas’ while he accompanied himself on guitar, and she was honestly surprised she made it through without crying.
Their playlists are divided into whichever album or artist they cover, and speaking of Encanto, they covered the whole soundtrack. (Both cried like babies watching the film, as I’m sure we all did)
I used to headcanon that they founded a dance school and they are strict teachers, but I can still see them being very strict because thats so on brand for Aleheather.
A travel destination favourite is the Yukon, because of course it is. They go their once a year if they can afford to.
Heather also collabs with other ex-Total Drama contestants: Harold, Courteney, Cody and suprisngly Leshawna. More on this later, but in WT she really formed a friendship with Courteney having stuff in common with girl- they like winning, and are sort of anti heroes. Courteney also has a youtube channel where she mainly sings, I believe their voices go really well together and Heather’s low tone reminds me of the Midnights album by Taylor Swift (I’m a hugeeeee Swiftie!) they both play guitar. In fact, they’re such good friends that on singing videos on Aleheather’s channel you’ll sometimes see comments from Courteney hyping up her friend. The only comment about Alejandro was on the ‘Los Oruguitas’ cover, and it was just ‘Nice cover.’ (Goes without being said, but she just tolerates him since he is her friends boyfriend.) Heather finds it hilarious that Court hates Al, but 100 percent understands while Al actually regrets how he acted. The policy Courteney has towards Al is like ‘forgive but don’t forget.’
Aleheather do have successful jobs, but tbh I’ve not thought about what they are.

Hi!! I would like to request a matchup for twst!!
I'm 19 with wavy black hair and brown eyes. I'm average height around 5'5". I'm a writer, avid reader, artist and I love learning!! I like singing and dancing too. I love anime and manga and I'm active in a lot of fandoms. I'm a huge feminist and I have an rbf😅. I get pretty anxious and stressed which leads to insomnia. I really hate when things don't go according to plan but I would love for someone to just tell me its going to be okay. My love languages are words of affirmation, physical touch and quality time. I have a stubborn streak and I'm big on skincare. I have a lot of trauma and I like to feel protected and wanted. I can be short-tempered and quite loud. But I like meeting new people and getting to know their stories. I'm a huge history nerd and love mythological stuff. I'm known for ranting a lot about my hyperfixations.
I hope you're having a good day too!!! Lots of love❤️
Thanks for the well wishes dudeski
== Twisted Wonderland ==>
I match you up with…
Leona Kingscholar
Leona is a difficult man to get to. At first, he’ll be rude and generally annoying towards you, ignoring stuff you say and twisting your words around. It’ll take a while for you to get to him, and even then, he’ll rarely let you see his innermost self.
But when he’s hooked on you, he’s HOOKED.
Leona relates first and foremost to your feminist ideals and resting bitch face, as he possesses those as well. Any time a guy on campus bothers you, while he won’t care on principle, he’ll get agitated simply because of their audacity.
Ask him about women in his home country, and he’ll glow with pride when regaliling you with tales of their strength and power.
He’ll also be the more chill and grounding of the two of you. When you’re stressed or anxious, he’ll take some time out of his day to help you study, even if in exchange he makes you take a long nap with him.
He’ll back you up when you’re being stubborn, but he’ll also remind you when it’s okay to back down and relax a little.
Speaking of relaxing, please help him with his skincare regimen at night. He loves the feeling of your hands scrubbing and soothing his skin. (He will start purring).
Leona will definitely make you feel protected and wanted. He’s protective and possessive to a fault, and always wants you to know that you're his, he’s yours, and together, you can rule the world.

I'm really over all this weird hate Lin Manuel Miranda has started getting. Like, he's not perfect, some of his work is very phoned in just for a paycheck or part of a contract, and yeah he should be criticized for the times he's fumbled or worse about racism, but a lot of the criticism this website is throwing at him is just off the mark. Like, you absolutely cannot deny the impact he's had on theater, Pop Culture, recent music, etc.; Of course, people do try and minimize or flat out deny any impact he's had, and they flat out have to lie or misrepresent reality to do it. Hamilton, while obviously worthy of its criticism, definitively made an impact with race blind casting and emphasizing diversity; It's not fully his fault Disney remakes saw people liked race-blind casting once and decided all their remakes have it now regardless of the legitimate criticisms he got from it. Speaking of remakes, a lot of Tumblr people hating on him hard-core right now are specifically hating on him in relation to the Little Mermaid remake, and... I hate to defend it, but Tumblr should really understand by now that not everyone is hating on an admittedly bad remake for the same reason, and in this case a lot of them are hating on it for very obviously racist reasons, and yet because they share a hate for LMM, people just reblog without looking, and now tons of Leftist or Progressive Tumblrs are regularly reblogging Lite to big time racist/fascist Tumblrs. Like, come on, isn't this website the one where everyone was all smug about not falling for "obvious" Right Wing Pipelines? Look, they guy is earnest and imperfect, and I've never really cared about him before now, simply because I recognized the flagrantly stupid "He WaS nEvEr GoOd" takes and recognized the pipeline that was coming because of Little Mermaid. He's just a guy who made it big and kinda gets used a lot, and who works a lot because he likes music and really doesn't want to do anything that could mess up his dream projects; So he takes on some subpar projects for cash or because he's contractually obligated to, so many actors and artists do that, at least he still tries to make it fun. And, in regards to a lot of common criticism, he seems to genuinely be learning and actually trying to better himself and better showcase diversity and darker skinned characters in his work, he's trying which is a whole lot more than honestly most; He seemed to genuinely think the policies he supported for Puerto Rico would help but now he shows regret for supporting things that hurt it. Honestly, he's handling going from "hero of diverse storytelling and music who tries to help more diverse creativies" to "literally as bad as a fascist while also justifying people being racist towards him and calling it progressive" better than most would.

12, 17, 19, 22 for the choose violence ask game👀
12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them
Oh man, like. All of them? I tend to only fall for unpopular characters, so that's a long list. But keeping it just to a few choice people in the Untamed;
Xue Yang. Obviously. He's brilliant, he's dedicated, he's fucked up in some really interesting ways and he got so close to having a redemption arc and happy ending before everything came crashing down! If he'd been the protagonist/viewpoint character, you know he'd be getting the fandom's WWX cinnamon roll treatment. But alas.
Jiang Cheng. That so many people dislike him honestly baffles me? I see so many takes that are frankly based in extremely shallow readings, disregarding his trauma, his world context, the impossible balance between his crushing responsibilities and the people important to him. He's not your homophobic dad or schoolyard bully, he's a deeply traumatized person doing the best with what he's got despite losing everything dear to him over and over, and he's trying so hard. He's loud and has a hot temper, but for fuck's sake, there's so much love there and you'd almost have to be willfully blind not to see it!
Jin Guangyao. Another of those "if he'd been the main character/viewpoint character, people would have loved him" ones. He's intelligent, determined, hardworking and loyal - though frequently pushed way beyond his breaking point in that loyalty. Pragmatic to the point of ruthlessness, but it's because the world's one big trolley problem to him - he sacrifices the few to help the many (even if yes, that does include himself in 'the many'), but he doesn't take pleasure in the hurt he causes (except in that one pretty understandable case of his dad). He deserves so much compassion, or at the very least understanding!
Should I put Song Lan on here? A lot of people seem to hate on him for very shallow, ship-related reasons, but within the plot, he tried his very hardest to set things right. It's not his fault they were all already doomed by the narrative and he walked into Yi City that day as the unwitting catalyst.
17. there should be more of this type of fic/art
For fics, Yi City fix-its that don't count killing Xue Yang as "fixing it". Stories digging into the hot mess of the complex, fascinating canon-verse, or at least reincarnation.
More fics with characterization I vibe with - a complicated, rough-edged but ultimately lovable Xue Yang, a compassionate but stubborn and somewhat brittle Xiao Xingchen and a Song Lan who feels so much and is so bad at showing it. More SXX fics overall!
For art, more art with the CQL character designs! The designs for the other adaptations are kind of cute, but they're just not my guys, and I feel pretty lukewarm toward them on the whole.
(And fellow artists - please, please, please don't forget Xue Yang's missing finger! 😭 I see so much fanart with either 10 intact fingers, or a glove with a fully articulated left pinky. His lost finger is the driving force of his entire character arc, don't just forget about it...😢)
19. you're mad/ashamed/horrified you actually kind of like...
Hmm... 🤔 On the whole, I don't feel a lot of shame for my tastes in fiction. I'm surprised I actually ended up really liking the main couple as much as I did - in a love story, no less? That literally never happens, I always go for the sideline gremlins.Other than that, though...
Trying very hard to hold up the blorbos and my usual go-to tropes, groping around for any sense of horror or shame, but I can't think of anything really. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores
I guess I'm that one (1) person who actually likes the Yin Iron plot? I genuinely think CQL made a lot of good choices to tie the sprawling narrative together more cohesively, and I liked the introduction of the Yin Iron and how it led into the creation of the Yin Tiger Seal rather than tossing the latter in as an "Oh yeah, this was a thing that totally existed all along, forgot to mention". (I know MDZS was written and posted in installment, and that can make it hard to work with foreshadowing etc, but even so. I do think CQL did a good job tightening up the story in many ways.)
And don't get me wrong, I absolutely don't mind the idea of Xue Yang as an absolute nobody clawing his way up from nothing! It's a delicious version, too! But there's just something about the idea of a family he could have belonged to, a sense of community he could have had, ripped away centuries before he was even born.
If I want to be a petty, I guess I could put "Xue Yang is canonically brilliant" under this question, too, because I wish that was explored in more fics and meta. The boy is a prodigy. He's a genius. He's also a street-brawler, petty thief and murderous little piece of shit, but that doesn't take away the first point. Let Xue Yang be the highly, dangerously intelligent Problem that he actually is!

Hii! Over the mbti thingy: I remember seeing the original post and being kinda sad that I got childe hahaha (I’m Infp) {I didnt send hate btw! Like thats beneath me} I guess its bc in the fanfic sphere readers are there only for pure validation by charas they like, and thus tend to see the writer as a somewhat faulty tool to get said validation. Idk about you but I think that, despite my love for the cultural impact of fanfic, this aspect just seems like a major limitation for artistic expression. (And I think it kills artistic appreciation in readers as well) Idk I guess I just wanted to ramble a bit jdjdjs So what are your thoughts?
i’ve definitely given this some thought! especially when i get asks that are something along the lines of ‘i don’t think x would be yandere for me because i’m y” and i feel really bad,, because if it’s an insecurity they’ve mentioned, my reflex is to Reassure, but then i worry if it’d come off as me saying “no no you totally deserve to be in a toxic yandere relationship i promise” and well. 😦
it’s not that i don’t understand the wanting validation aspect! fanfic, reader-inserts especially, have a huge appeal from a self-indulgent standpoint. i love that and think it’s super fun to go around writing/drawing your favorite characters being madly in love with you. now that’s a good time. i don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong or right about using a writer’s work to find validation, it’s more something that’s up to what the writer does or doesn’t want to do. for me personally, since i predominantly write yandere, i always feel concerned about how to handle something that is as sensitive as those types of asks. i do see writers who seem comfortable navigating it and that’s cool too. it really just depends.
i’m sorry for somewhat veering off from the original point of your ask, i felt it was somewhat related though .
as for the limitation of artistic expression, this feels more like a universal issue in media these days with the high tendency toward easy to digest ‘content’. i can see how this might potentially impact the stories fanfic writers do/don’t write though. obviously we know that lots of romance/smut will get more interaction, but sometimes to build the story that we want to build, those things have to get put on the back-burner. i always feel bad whenever i finish reading a chapter of something and see the author apologizing for the main love interest not being around much in it & promising they’ll be back soon, when the story was solid enough to hold up without the love interest’s presence. i think i’ve actually done this myself actually ??
i wouldn’t say it’s the reader’s fault... if you’re reading a fanfic for romance, you want to see, well, romance. i can’t feel upset about that hgkjfld
ANYWAY it’s an interesting discussion to have. lots to unpack. 😌

Symbiote-Suit (Before Venom)
I remember the Symbiote-Suit from reading spider-man shorts in the newspaper, and didn't really get the full story until much later. Like every edgy-child of the 90s the Black Spider-suit was peak coolness.
The suit itself was created by artist and fan Randy Shueller. Whomst was paid 220$ for the creation, and given the opportunity to write an official storyline about it. Ultimately, Marvel didn't really go with his idea and took creative control.
When the suit first debuted, it was during "Secret Wars" (written by Jim Shooter with Mike Zeck and Bob Layton illustrating.) Secret Wars was basically Jump Force or Super Smash Bros of its time. (At the time, Arcades came close with the Marvel v Capcom series)
The symbiote was generated by a mysterious machine after Peter Parker destroyed his original suit while fighting Goku. But has seen various alternate representations such as the one with Tony Maguire in Spider-Man 2. And had a completely different storyline ever since. And is always destined to become Venom. (Who is just... A anthropomorphic self-hatred Peter has for himself.)
In the original story-line though, the Symbiote suit was this cool thing that parker could control with his mind and basically became whatever clothes he needed, abolishing his need to get dressed in alley-ways. (Yes, proto-iron-spider basically.) And had unlimited "web", which this Peter had developed himself, like Garfield's Web Shooters in Amazeballs Spidey. So this suit was primo spider-upgrade gear.
When Marvel decided Spidey needed a rebranding, or at least to return to the original suit, because "black Spiderman" didn't mean the same thing it means today... (Trying not to get canceled) The symbiote became a metaphor for Peter Parkers inability to join the two halves his life into one, and subsequent 30 year old burnout from overworking, and no vacations.
Peter Parker, and Spider-Man. And he went through a devastating breakup with MJ and all sorts of pain and anguish. And Pete blamed the suit because he felt that it was the suit's fault for his inability to finish everything he set out to do *and* feel normal.
PTSD from being a superhero, living two lives, overworking, being unable to do the things he wants to do.
And from there the Symbiote becomes this villain that was fed all of Peter's negative emotions, and double-unlucky, joins forces with his main photographer rival at his job--Eddie Brock.
And thus Venom was born. And while Venom was a good guy (most of the time) he harbored vengeance and a deep hatred towards parker and Spider-Man. Both because of the competitive rivalry *AND* birthing an evil alien symbiote thing.
I always wondered about the symbiote suit, and what character it could *have* been if this were not the case... If it wasn't destined to become Venom, especially what venom and the symbiotes are *now*.
This entire section of Spider-Lore and marvel comics which are dedicated to *extreme* edginess. Not that I *hate* them and want the comics abolished, going through different emotions by exploring the Seven Deadly Sins is a good storyline. And dare I say it; fairly important in the history of comic books.
But I still lay awake at night sometimes and wonder "What if the Symbiote Suit had a chance to not got through all that? What if the character could be something else, something not as reliant as being attached to another character?"
What if the Symbiote could've been something more as a character?
What if the Symbiote had a chance to just be a good hero instead of the anti-hero and perma-villain?

(my internet gets wonky today, not sure if and in what state the previous ask got sent, so here is another, feel free to ignore my ramblings ^^) Tell me more about your BG3 OCs! They seem like such a colorful bunch! What do they think about the tadpole dilemma? Will they keep them? Get rid of them? What was their goal before being kidnapped?
Hello and thank you so much for your ask!! 💜💜 (No, I didn't receive any previous one) It was a lovely surprise to see your message and I'm happy you want to hear more about my characters. Sorry for the lateness of this reply and for the rambling to follow. I'm rubbish at writing my thoughts down and then when I try, it goes on forever. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
EDIT: This got posted by accident instead of saving to drafts, so you've only got Maddie's stuff. Oops! I'll post something about the others at some point.
Maddie
A little ray of sunshine and eldritch energy
Tumblr media
Backstory and personality
Maddie had a loving and happy childhood. From a young girl she loved to paint and she dreamed of being a proper artist one day. When she was old enough, she moved to the city to study and train, eventually owning a small studio of her own. She became an admirer of the work of an infamous mad artist, whose surreal style left most people with an unsettled feeling, but whose use of colour and rare and unique pigments fascinated Maddie.
One day Maddie came into the possession of one of the late artist's works and she was eager to study and restore it. Whilst doing so she accidentally touched the mind of an eldritch 'Patron of the Arts': A Great Old One whose ever-present but usually imperceptible influence, inspires artists both great and small. Through these artists' works it subtly shapes the minds of the people in order to steer reality towards its own, unknowable ends.
Overwhelmed with awesome and terrifying dreams, Maddie's former passion for art became a compulsion. Her studio filled up with bizarre sketches and paintings. Attempts to resist this influence went… badly. She lost her reputation, became alienated from her family and very nearly lost herself. What followed was a hard period of acceptance and recovery. Over time, she began to recognise her erratic artwork was an attempt to process these visions in a way her mortal brain can comprehend. Occasionally some understanding is gained, which is how her warlock powers are granted.
Her experiences still haunt her and she mourns the life she had and the person she used to be, but she is healing and has reached a point where she is broadly able to manage the unwanted side effects of the connection to her patron. She retains an optimistic personality in spite of everything and adventuring has given her a reason to embrace this other side of herself. And being able to Eldritch blast a minotaur halfway across the underdark is pretty damn cool!!
Maddie is bold and curious (perhaps to a fault). She is thrilled by new experiences and tends to take weirdness in her stride, finding beauty and joy in unlikely places. She will usually go out of her way to help others. Her friendly and generous personality does have some limits – she has little patience for petty arguments and hates bullies. It would be unwise to threaten her or her friends or family (and her new companions are family whether they like it or not) as she can be fiercely protective. Those she doesn't consider worthy of persuasion may find themselves face to face (or at least naval to face) with her defiant intimidation, only to discover that their first instinct towards laughter is curbed by an uncanny desire for self-preservation.
Tadpole situation
Maddie's initial reaction was panic. One of her biggest fears is losing her mind and sense of self and hurting people she cares about because of this; she already came scarily close to doing both when first encountering her patron. Later, when it becomes clear that ceremorphosis is not proceeding as expected she becomes more relaxed about it. She's already used to her mind not being entirely her own and she's survived that so far. It's tempting. Her patron nearly sent her mad, but she owes her survival so far to her warlock abilities, so maybe the tadpole powers could be useful too. She'd admit (in private) that Astarion's ideas about controlling the tadpole are intriguing to her. They could also help alleviate the worst aspects of her patron's influence. On the other hand, there's too much still unknown and she's all too well aware of the risk of losing control and getting into a battle of wills she can't hope to win.
With regard to using the tadpole to influence others, she respects the privacy of her companions and won't use the tadpole to pry into their secrets. She has used the tadpole the Absolute's followers. (In EA) after the dreams, Maddie is more inclined towards resisting the tadpole because of the effect it is having on her companions. It is clear that their tadpoles are connected and she doesn't feel she has the right to risk her friends without their consent.
(Basically I don't know which way this is going to go yet and a long will depend on how the tadpole stuff is implemented in the full game. I like that she is someone who could be swayed in either direction and I think the mind stuff thematically complements a Great Old One Patron. But she's nice and I don't want anything bad to happen to her 😭)
Goals
Prior to being kidnapped Maddie had no great ambitions beyond trying to rebuild her life back. The most important thing she longed for was to regain the trust of her brother and reconnect with her family. After surviving the nautiloid, however she has been bitten by the adventuring bug and if she survives would like to explore the world more, now that she has skills to look after herself.

If people are feeling more sympathetic towards the people who hurt pink/rose, who's supposed to be the victim and the people in question are the diamonds and her abusers, whose fault is it exactly for that whole thinking? The fans and critics for not getting it or not liking actions that happened with rose/pink or the writing of how it went about rose that kind of made her seem even less sympathetic than the diamonds?
Maybe sympathetic is not the right word for the diamonds but then at the same time people give me the impression that what blue was "right". Feel like I am seriously not understanding something I do kind of feel like the backstory being told backwards probably didn't do wonders but I'm just still wondering how are they more sympathetic then pink when they are heavily part of the reason why she left them?
I think at a certain point it’s just people misinterpreting it. Sure the show could’ve had more episodes about Rose’s and the Diamonds’ past but that only accounts for so much. The story is complete and all the information is there about Rose and the Diamonds. People thinking “the Diamonds are more sympathetic than Rose” seem like they’re either forgetting major parts of the plot or are just angry at the show for not going the way they wanted it to
It probably also comes from an inability to accept that the creators of your favorite media aren’t omnipotent, and that they’re subject to outside forces. It’s a lot harder to admit “the shows I love are made based around business deals that are sometimes unfair and that hurt the artistic merit of the final product” than the kneejerk “Rebecca Sugar wrote a terrible ending because she’s stupid and evil”
I feel like it also ties into some of these people’s politics somewhat. I’d be willing to bet that a lot of the people saying that the show’s ending was bad because the Diamonds didn’t face enough consequences are also the type of person to view real life politics that way too. The type of people who think “if we can just get kill all the bad people (billionaires, racists, pedophiles, etc.), the world will be perfect!” The people who think that it’s not enough that people stop doing bad and start doing good, but that they must suffer also. These types of people usually have good intentions (ending inequality, racism, pedophilia, etc.) but if you let that desire for revenge against society taint the way you watch media, it’s gonna lead to you unironically saying shit like “Steven Universe is nazi propaganda”
Bringing this back to SU, this reminds me of when I recently saw a piece of fanart from “Gem Harvest” (from back when the episode first came out in 2016) and it was tagged something like “the theme of the episode was wack, they introduce a bigoted character and the moral is to FORGIVE HIM???!?” Yes, that is the moral. Making human connections will always be better for your mental health (and more helpful in actually stopping people from being hateful and bitter) than any amount of vitriol or righteous anger
It seems Steven Universe is simply cursed with fans who are forever unwilling or unable to accept its basic tenets of forgiveness and self-love
