the hot girls guide to a mindful morning ʚ♡ɞ

1 ~ drink water. rehydrate that gorgeous body of yours.
2 ~ bless your ears with morning meditations, affirmations, podcasts or music. something to peacefully ease you into the transition from sleep to wake. have a moment of mindfulness and appreciation before the day ahead.
3 ~ open your curtains and spend a moment outside to greet the sun and thank her for bringing you this beautiful day.
4 ~ do some soft stretching or exercises. morning yoga, gentle pilates, or even just a nice, big, open hearted stretch. do this wherever you feel most comfortable, preferably with mother nature.
5 ~ if you are a morning shower type of girl, now would be the time to get naked baby ! visualise as the shower washes away any nasties, it also washes away any negative energy. step out of the shower feeling emotionally lighter and energised.
6 ~ skincare time lovely ! do your skincare in any way that your skin loves. ice facials or rollers feel absolutely amazing as a refreshing start to your day. i love listening to beauty/self love subliminals or affirmations as i do this.
7 ~ prepare yourself a scrumptious meal, and i mean meal. smoothies and coffees are drinks to be consumed in conjunction with your meal, not as a meal of its own. get some food in that sexy little belly of yours ! don’t hesitate to eat whatever your body is craving. listen to your body and her needs. if that means cake for breakfast, so be it.
8 ~ journal. prioritise adding a step of emotional self care into your morning routine. this doesn’t have to be time consuming. if you are a busy woman, simply write your daily intentions e.g ‘today i would like to learn something new’. write something to give your day purpose and direction.
9 ~ dress in something that makes you feel delicious and fabulous. consider fashion a friend that will remind you of who you are, and how good you feel and look throughout the day.
10 ~ if you feel inclined to do your hair and makeup, go ahead ! if not, that’s perfectly fine too ! wether you decide to or not, admire yourself in the mirror, check your stunning self out, do a dance, take a pic ( or 100 ), blow yourself a kiss, and you’re good to go !

October eve in New Mexico is beautiful. I have coffee, earlier Rabbit made French toast for breakfast, I have the cat curled up on me, and briefly the heater came on because it’s cool enough to cuddle up in blankets. Happiness.

Routines
Morning Routine
wake up at 7:00-7:45— i use alarmy to start my day with a brain game
open my curtains and drink water
use the bathroom, put in contacts, brush teeth, comb hair, etc.
short morning stretch (finch is great for routines and to-do lists, it has stretches/exercises and a bunch of other stuff)
exercise— anything from jumping jacks to a youtube video
meditate/mindfulness
a few mins of learning a language (i want to try either italian ASL or arabic)
skin care, put on clothes, lip gloss and jewelry when i feel like it, etc.
medicine & vitamins
have a good breakfast
pack bag and lunch for school

Night Routine
i always bring water and a book with me
use the bathroom, wash face, brush teeth, moisturizer, etc.
change into comfy pjs, fuzzy socks, and a sweatshirt/robe
write 1 good thing about the day (i started a jar on new years to fill with tiny pieces of paper with good things)
water my plants if i need to
pick out tmrws outfit
read for at least 15 mins

Todays reflection question was “will I adhere to the rhythm that I have?”.
First thing that I wanted to write was like “at first I need to have one”. Further inspection showed that actually I have one.
It is flaky, but it is present.
I do wake up in the morning and have the routine present to start the day. I do go to gym (whenever I can walk of course 🤕😅 ), I do day planning and make reflections on daily(some times 2day) basis.
More over, thing that I got most proud was that I succeed in restoring rhythm every time it breaks. And Im becoming better and better with it. It takes less and less effort to make it.
This thought gave me a second wind feeling.
It would be better not to break it at all at first glance, but that was false goal. Way to idealistic, suitable only for world that I was taught live in childhood.
As recently discovered quote of Epictetus:
— You become what you give your attention to.
I have become more resilient in my routines. I have learned to rebuild with ease things that break apart. And the main difference is that they will always break. It is 2-nd law of thermodynamics. Having this practice many times I will be able to restore them with near zero effort. I think - this is resilience.
I start to question of idea of discipline. Is it just deep bound routine ?

Best application of the year.
One allows me not to forget main things from different books that I have read. Revise material and rethink it.
I have returned to reading a book in two weeks. Feels wonderful. Especially thought the amount of good reflections I get. It is funny how I had lost that part in my life ?
In latest half a year I really like how I have changed. Cost of it is huge, but I’m becoming the one I was, so glad to be.
For this transformation to happen I needed to go through the one of the biggest crises in my life, escape war in my home country, chase bad dream twice and survive a summer in paradise.
As old saying says “you cannot understand height unless you fall from it”.
