one of my favourite parts is how in the last bit of The Rum Tum Tugger when the girls are squealing over tugger, if you look in the background u can see Mistoffelees on the pipe on the left side and if you watch his reactions it's just so KLNCFLNVNS there's so much tension at first he's shaking his head disapprovingly but then if you look at the second bit he's making little hand-wavy motions (kinda like how the girls are) like he's trying so hard to control himself. and then at the last note tugger holds you can see him sort of take a deep breath and look bewildered

hes like "tch.." and then he's like "oh..." and then he's like: Oh.

(THE ITALICISED OH)

and then you get this

its giving "…am i interruptin somethin 🤨 " "UHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

literally the funniest screencap of the whole musical i think especially bc not only does mistoff make this startled expression as if he's been caught doing something he's not supposed to be doing (despite literally just vibing (he has anxiety)) he also completely freezes up and the other cat (not sure who) just lets go of his hand and continues on like nothing happened KLDVNFKLDNVDKLNVKLSFNL

ALSO SOMETHING THAT MAKES THE MISTOFFELEES TUGGER DYNAMIC SO SO GOOD TO ME IS HOW MISTOFFELEES LIKE. he embarrasses himself at the start of the old gumbie cat and is visibly distressed and the kittens make fun of him for it. but he opens the trunk with his magic anyways and then like hides behind it

and hes directly said to at least appear shy and i definitely get a meek read on him. this boy is the shyest drama queen this side of the heaviside layer. he loves to perform and then any time he's not performing he's self-conscious and nervous,,,

and rum tum tugger sings an ENTIRE HYPE SONG FOR HIM

the "please listen to me... and dont scoff" at the start i might mention, 'dont scoff at my boyfriend he is very sensitive and i will kill you dead'

also in Magical Mr. Mistoffelees, rum tum tugger says "i've known the family to call him in from the garden for hours / when he was asleep in the hall " so like are they living in the same house with the same family or does tugger just frequently break in because the latter is my personal belief and way funnier

he makes this motion like cmon baby during the line and mistoffelees is like . hang on why were you at my house for hours ?

tugger is basically flirting with mistoffelees the entire song NEVERMIND the lyrics but the way he moves towards him and the way he articulates when interacting with mistoff,,,

Big spoon: Tugger

Little Spoon: Misto

There’s a lot of reasons; it’s more comfortable, Misto runs cold, so it’s cozier being the little spoon. But he also feels incredibly safe in Tugger’s arms, hidden away from the world. It’s also reassuring to be held like he’s precious, and like he isn’t dangerous.

For Tugger’s part, he is very protective of Misto, and being the big spoon helps him feel like he’s shielding Misto from the world. But he also doesn’t like being confined or restrained while sleeping, so he prefers being the big spoon.

In CATS as cats, I do headcanon that Misto alternates between using Tugger as a heated bed and sleeping under him with basically only a black tail and maybe a nose sticking out XD

6-What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?

Tugger [grinning]: He’s got a GREAT ass

Misto does love Tugger’s laugh the most. When he first met Tugger, he was annoyed by his cocky attitude and self-centeredness. But when he laughed, like, properly laughed, it made him seem so warm and friendly and… jubilant. It was the first redeeming quality Misto decided he had.

Tugger Loves Misto’s magic. As Misto got more comfortable with it and with Tugger, he stopped controlling it so heavily. Now, his hair has a dusting of sparkles that shift and dance to reflect Misto’s mood. Tugger will entertain himself by trying to see how he can change Misto’s sparks by saying something flirty or funny. It also makes him happy to see how much more comfortable he’s gotten with his magic since they had first met.

15-Who wakes up first?

It changes. Both of them are night owls, neither of them going to bed before midnight or waking up before 9.

Tugger’s sleep schedule tends to be more erratic, sometimes staying up all night because partying/clubbing/hyperfixation, so then he’ll sleep until noon. But other times he wakes up relatively early because he’s excited about something, a concert, a trip, an event, etc.

Misto tends to be more consistent (he has his routines, his routines are important). He tends to go to sleep and wake up around the same times, though he’ll sometimes sleep longer if he exerted himself too much (magic, dancing, excitement, sensory overstimulation) etc. In more human aus, he loves Tugger’s concerts, but he will sleep 12-14 hours afterwards.

17-Who says I love you first?

Tugger. He falls in love first and realizes it first too, which sets off a crisis of identity for him. While he never identified as fully aromantic, arospec is a good description for him. But he’s also used to getting fixated on a person, but after sleeping with them, poof, feelings gone.

But sleeping with Misto when he’s using his magic- boy. Changes something in his brain chemistry.

He goes cold on Misto after he realizes, desperate for the feelings to go away. Which makes Misto feel like shit, honestly. But he can’t stay away for long, and comes back, though he tries to convince himself this is just a fling.

As for Misto, he is mortified when he realizes he’s fallen in love. Sleeping with the tom was bad enough, but FEELINGS?? Really?? But over the time they spent hooking up, he’s gotten to see the more authentic Tugger. He’s still cocky and irreverent and swaggering, but he’s also kind and mischievous and surprisingly clever. He trusts him. After the shock of realizing exactly what the warm-and-fuzzy feeling he gets when looking at Tugger wears off, he’s sad. He knows Tugger doesn’t feel the same way about him, knows he never will. So he carries on, compartmentalizing the relationship as purely physical, as a secret affair that can never become anything more.

When Tugger tells him he loves him, he is flabbergasted.

22-Who cooks more/who is better at cooking?

Misto is an okay cook but he needs a recipe, and NEEDS to follow it to a T. (This actually makes him a pretty good baker, if a slow one). If there is something wrong with the recipe, he will not catch it.

Tugger has the uncanny ability to throw a bunch of Stuff in a pan and make a phenomenal dish. King of pastas and stir-frys. But he is allergic to recipes. If he’s trying something new, he Might skim a recipe, but he Will change it depending on his mood. He is a terrible baker because he doesn’t care about any of the steps or ingredients or ratios.

Tugger mostly takes care of cooking, with Misto preferring to chop veggies and clean afterwards. However, baking is Misto’s domain. He WILL kick Tugger out if the kitchen, because his spontaneous “Vibes” style stresses him out so much.

My second favourite non replica is Brno XD

I know, I know, but what can I say, I like the weird ones XD

But seriously I do really enjoy it!

The costumes maybe aren't phenomenal, but i do like most of them. My faves are def Skimble, Victoria, Jelly's Aria costume and ofc Gus and Asparagus in their mirrored suits. And Munk's t-shirt with printed on tie is just funny XD I know most people dislike the lack of catness they got going on, but I don't care that much and it doesn't take me out from the show. Probably cuz Warsaw is weirdly cat-but-not-cat and I'm used to it XD

I do like the vocals, my favs are hands down Gus, Asparagus and Jelly in "Gus..." and the Aria. And i like Skimble's voice too. And since Czech and Polish are somewhat close I can understand bits here and there of it so that's a plus XD

I like the choreography well enough, some bits are better than others. Once again Warsaw being my number one probably helps cuz if I had to compare I'd say the choreography is closer to it than to regular Cats XD

Also Tugger actually kisses a guy in there so that's a win XD

Besides that I like how they used the space they got and the props. Skimble's train and Misto's Ms Paint moment are my favs XD Plus ofc the motorbike

Also it has my favourite version of the Italian Aria and in my opinion the best handling of the Growltiger situation: Cut it out, but leave the Aria and play it totally serious and straight so Gus can have his moment, without taking Munk's moment earlier. I love Asparagux' voice and the mirrored costumes and Jelly and Gus lip-syncing to it. Just yeah, I love it

Speaking of characters, I do like their takes on most of them. Some are better than others (I don't really like their old D XD) but for the most part I think they did a great job. Especially Tugger, the guy playing him really put his everything into it XD Drunk Bustopher is also a choice and I think it's a fun take

And I love the added lvl to Griz' storyline. I like that she is old and disfigured and there's some letter and she's not been invited and there's clear family drama. Idk what exactly is going on but like yes, I like that it's more than just the regular "old lady is not welcome, for reasons". I just like that both Brno and Warsaw added some more connection between Griz and one or more tribe members besides Old D and implied reasons why she got kicked out, sue me XD

I like that sure it's human world, mafia/cult vibes, but there's still magic there XD Misto straight up kills Mac and then is a technology wizard, Gruz turns into an actual cat and it all take place in a clocktower or smth XD

And last but not least, there are some things in there that I think may or may not have been inspired by Warsaw XD Whether they were or whether it was just a coincidence, I always have fun noticing them XD

Like yeah overall I really really like it, I love the weird and bizzare bits and how messy and different it is. And just how fun watch it is

Tuggoffelees oneshot for Valentines day

This is my first fic finished and posted, and I hope you guys like it <# the ending is a bit rushed though

words: 2,696

hurt/comfort kinda, slow burn, slight angst, m|m, fluff at the end

Misto's POV:

It was a few days after the Jellicle Ball. I was curled on the trunk next to Victoria, both doing our respective things. The night was a chilly one, much colder than the day, yet not uncomfortable. She had been talking bout her and Plato for a while now and it got me thinking. As my sister talked, my gaze began to wander, eventually landing on one cat in particular. The Rum Tum Tugger. A curious cat he was, surrounded by many of the queens. He flashed his teeth in a cocky grin, his bright orange eyes shifting towards me and I turn my head to Victoria in attempt to seem as disinterested as I pretended to be. "-offelees-" "-stoffelees" "Mistoffelees!" Victoria yelled. Only then I realized I had been zoning out. "Are you okay?" She asked worriedly, "You were staring off into space again." I shook my head and put on a smile. "Yeah, 'm fine Vic, just thinking." My reassurance only brought more concern to Victoria as I rarely ever lied to her, but I wasn't lying right? With my attention on Victoria I failed to noticed a figure approaching from behind me. Victoria on the other hand greeted them with a smile. "Morning Munkustrap!" She said with her usual cheerful expression. Admittedly I was caught off guard though I quickly regained composure. "Mistoffelees, can I have a word with you? Alone?" "Okay, that was a worrying way to start" I thought to myself before hopping off of the trunk. Munkustrap led me around to a pile of tires off to the side.

3rd person:

Munkustrap turned to look at Mistoffelees, his expression showed no negative signs though his demeanor expressed his concerns well enough. Mistoffelees stood in confusion and slight concern as to what was going on but those feelings soon left when Munkustrap began to speak. "I've seen the way you look at my brother, Misto." "'m pretty sure everyone sees how I look at him." Misto retorts, interrupting him mid sentence. "-But him!" Munk stood there and he considered the fact but he knew his brother better than anyone, "He knows, Misto. But he wont make the first move. Not with you at least." Misto's confusion only grew along side his anxiety. "Let me rephrase it. He won't blatantly flirt with you…" "Why me? He has no problem flirting with anyone else?" Munkustrap rubs his temple at this and sighs, "You're both oblivious to one another. My brother, lets say, may have a low attention span but you've got his attention throughout most of the day!" Misto perks up at this revelation, his previous nerves peaking for a new found reason. He had hoped Tugger liked him back, but this? It being true just made the situation feel so unreal. And if this was a dream, he never wanted to wake up.

Munkustrap's words made their home in Mistoffelees' mind. He couldn't help but feel some pride for gaining the attention of someone like Tugger. Misto knew Tugger though. Or at least he thinks he knows Tugger. With now knowing of Tugger's feelings, doubt also makes it's way in. And like a sick tango, it dances in his mind with Munk's words. Despite all those thoughts, hope was there and Misto knew that if he was serious about Tugger he would have to show that it was mutual. So Mistoffelees showed off his magic a bit more often. What harm could that do, really? It was just enough to catch Tuggers attention. And it worked. Kinda. With Tuggers attention, came the others attention in a way. Sure, Misto wasn't the shiest cat around. Hell, he loved being the center of attention. This was different though. He wanted to be the center of Tugger's attention. He could care less if he gain the attention of the other toms or queens. Misto would practice his magic in more open and populated areas, just in view of Tugger, Just for Tugger (and whoever was stuck to his side at the moment).

Tugger's pov:

Misto was acting weird today. He was still his eccentric self, but it seemed directed towards me for some reason. I mean, of course, it's me. But it was me. He normally would never act like this. Showin off and all. I couldn't complain though, his magic was so cool! Told him that once, too! Mistoffelees thought I was joking and brushed it off (T^T). How could I not find it at least kinda cool? Making smoke and little explosions out of nowhere, or when he made Old Deuteronomy reappear! Mistoffelees was incredible in my eyes… If only I could really get to know him. He was so interesting to watch. But the thing I couldn't get out of my head was how he rubbed against me during my song (based off the 2010 "Cats Now and Forever" in Manila video clip). We've never been that close before. And just for him to insult me right after?!… oh god, was I really into him?? He was just on the opposite side of the Junkyard, I think he was trying a new trick. Every once i a while he would look my way with a smirk on his face. Almost like he was saying "did you see that?" It was amusing. For me at least. Bomba was stuck to my side like glue, she didn't seem as interested in Misto's magic like I was. I was hoping she would get bored enough to go somewhere else.

3rd person:

The night was coming to an end, soon their humans would wake. They knew this. Quickly the junkyard became empty as they fled home for the day. Tugger was normally the last one to leave the junkyard, and today so was Misto. It was just the two of them. The perfect time for moves to be made. "You were incredible today." Tugger exclaimed enthusiastically. Tugger inched his way closer and closer to the tuxedo cat in a way that made it seem like his flirty personality was put on max. In a way that made it seem like he wasn't interested like how Munkustrap depicted it, instead more like a casual hookup. And Mistoffelees all the wiser saw past this. He returned the flirty nature that was shown to him, which he wouldn't do if he wasn't serious. It was done so naturally that it had seemed like Misto was just messing with Tugger from his view. The two had stopped for a few moments just to talk. This was one of the few times they had with it only being them. In Mistoffelees' eyes it was time to tell Tugger how he felt. Even with Misto's confidence and love for attention, it felt like the eyes of a thousand cats were on him (or like 2019 Mistoffelees). Mistoffelees with all his might, reached to grab Tuggers arm, gently keeping Tugger still to look him in his eyes. "Tugger, I want to get something off my chest… Something I wanted to tell you for a while now." Mistoffelees' words were uncharacteristically shaky. Tugger felt a wave of shock go through his body as Mistoffelees grabbed his arm. His ears flattened, he didn't know how to take his words. It sounded like a confession, but whether it was good or bad, he didn't know. Tugger looked to Misto, giving him all his attention, "Is everything alright?" He asked genuinely concerned.

Misto's pov:

With a deep breath, I attempted to let it all out. "Tugger. I like you." There I said it. Tugger was quite… oh, god… was Munk wrong, was I wrong?? He stepped back away from me and smirked. Fuck, his cheeky-ass smirk. Did he think I was joking? "I mean, 'course you do. It's me after all! Love the enthusiasm though~" I looked bewildered at his reaction. I guess I should've seen this kind of reaction coming, especially from him. After his, interesting choice of words, he just walked away!.. My arms dropped to my sides. What the fuck was that?! I gave up my pride just for it to give him a little ego boost! The only options I had were to stay here in the Junkyard or go home, either way I would be sulking. I want with the latter, cause if I was home at least I would have company. I got there long after Victoria and Alonzo, much to the concern of my human. Through the cat door I crawled. Ears and tail drooping in defeat, to which their human noticed as soon as he saw his cat. All Victoria and Alonzo knew was that Tugger and I were going to have a talk and I could see on their faces that they knew something was up.

Tugger's pov:

Holy shit, Holy Shit, HOLY SHIT!!!! Did he just say what I thought he said??? I was, no, I am through the roof! The most talented magician to ever live likes me??! I didn't know how to react I just walked away. It was like I was about to scream but I couldn't scream all at the same time. For the first time ever I rushed home. How was I meant to react, should I jump to the opportunity of being with him, or should I act cool about it. I managed to catch up to Munkustrap before he left me behind, I couldn't wait to tell him what had happened. In fact I could barely manage to keep my excitement to myself.

3rd person:

Tugger caught up to Munk just in time to see an upset expression Munkustrap in fact saw what went down and was initially very happy for his brother, but he was there. He saw how hurt Mistoffelees was. While Munkustrap knew Tugger meant no harm, he felt disappointed. "You're an idiot, y'know" he said, to which Tugger was immediately offended "The hell did I do to you?". Munkustrap sighed and continued on to their home. Tugger was persistent with finding why his brother was acting like this all the way home. Constantly Tugger would cut Munk off and pester him on why he was upset, not taking a second to really try to figure out why.

Back with the monochromatic siblings, the siblings were sitting on their humans couch. Alonzo rubbed Misto's shoulder in comfort. "I totally made a fool of myself, though!" Misto whined, earning a shared look between Vic and Al. Their human walked in to the room and sat down next to them. Their human petted the pouting cat, "You okay, Quaxo?" Their owner asked softly, giving the three cats pets. Misto purred at the touch of his human, but Vic and Al could see that he was really hurt. The two shared a look and nodded, it was their duty as his siblings to be there for him and protect him. Tugger would be no exception to this.

It was the next night, Vic and Al were getting ready to leave for the junkyard, Plato outside waiting for the trio (specifically for Victoria though). "Are you sure you want to come tonight?" Alonzo carefully asked Mistoffelees, to which Mistoffelees quickly and quite frankly happily(?) replied "Of course. I'm not going to stay home just because some tom doesn't feel the same way." "Don't wanna let him win?" Vic joked, nudging Mist's shoulder "I'm glad you're not letting him get to you!". The trio crept under the ajar window and out the house. With Misto leaving last, left with his thoughts. He wasn't going just to not let Tugger get to him but also to regain Tugger's attention. The Rum Tum Tugger is a curious cat, and he doesn't want what's handed to him, so maybe, just maybe, if he acts like he's over it he'll get the attention he wants. On the walk to the Junkyard it was obvious that something was on Mistoffelees' mind. He wasn't talking as much and barely practiced any tricks just for shits and giggles like how he normally would. And this worried the siblings and Plato to no end.

Tugger's pov:

I still don't get why Munk is upset with me, did I say something wrong? Whatever it was I was going to confront him about it 'cuase if I don't it'll be the death of me! Once I get Bomba off my side I'll have a chat with him. Yeah. That's what I'll do if I don't get distracted I mean. Right as I thought this, Dimeter called Bomba over giving me the perfect window. I practically rushed to Munkustrap so I could finally find out what pissed him off. On my way to Munk, Mistoffelees, Victoria, Alonzo, and Plato passed me, and naturally I flashed Mistoffelees one of my irresistible smirks. And what to I get in return? Nothing! He walked right past me! Shaking my head, I kept on to Munkustrap.

" ey Munkustrap, what were ya so mad 'bout last night? Ya were acting really standoff-ish y'know.-" I perched my hand (paw?) on my hip, popping my hip out as I spoke, "So what gives?" He looked at me like it was the dumbest thing I had ever said. "You're a real piece of work, aren't you…" was the first thing out of his mouth. Ever so dramatically I brought my hand to my chest and gasped. "Oh, really. and pray tell why I'm such a piece of work." Munk grabbed my arm and turned me around. "You honestly don't know what you did wrong? Let me give you a hint. A certain someone swallowed their pride and gave you their heart, to which you walked away." And my eyes widened, shit Munkustrap was still in the junkyard…wait is Mistoffelees mad at me? Did I hurt him??How???

My mind was going at a thousand miles an hour as I watch Mistoffelees go about his business. Occasionally his eyes would flash my way and a shock wave of nerves passed up and down my spine like never before. It wasn't like he was ignoring me, just not giving me attention.

A small siblings pov (Vic, Al, Munk):

Victoria and Alonzo approached Munkustrap leaving Misto alone to Tugger's eyes for the time being. The three had all come to the conclusion Tugger and Misto needed to resolve this themselves, so in the meantime they would watch from the sidelines.

"How long do you think this'll go on for?" while all of them were thinking it, only Al said it. "Till Tugger can use his brain that I just hope he has." Munk laughed off but he couldn't deny he wasn't worried about Misto and Tugger's relationship. Victoria sighed as she was watching the trainwreck about to happen, aka Tugger walking up to Misto to fix things hopefully.

3rd person pov:

Mistoffelees had planned to act over Tugger but his efforts were futile due to his eyes wandering. Like a seemingly never ending cycle Mistoffelees would fight himself to remain strong and focus on himself, not the cat coming his way. 'Wait what?' Misto thought as he saw Tugger walking to him. 'This couldn't really be happening again.' And with his ears pushed unusually back in regret, in a less flamboyant way Tugger stopped in front of Mistoffelees. "Mistoffelees?" Tugger cleared his throat and took a deep breath. "I realized I never gave ya a answer yesterday…" Misto smiled coyly, "Yeah… I'm sorry I just threw that on you out of nowhere-" mistoffelees was promptly cut off by Tugger placing his hands on Miisto's shoulders, "Please don't apologize. I like you too..! I was just too in my head." Tugger let his hand rest on Misto in a wordless way of comfort. And it was much needed. And with shacky hands and a heart beating faster by the second, Misto wrapped his arms around Tugger in a way that made it obvious he never wanted to let go.

From afar, The siblings watched with smiles, content in knowing the duo weren't on bad terms. That everything was cleared. It was a relief to the lot of them, and now they could sleep easy.

CATS Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre - Hudson, FL (with Pics)

Thanks to Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre for renting our set and having us for the past two weeks in the Junkyard. It's always a delight working with Chaz, and we got to know an incredible cast and crew. I'm not sure how many hashtags I can use so I am going to include the cast list here for pics that arrive since all of you are so talented at Tumblr (the cast is so intrigued by Superfans, btw!)

We had many challenges with a dinner theatre because the stage is very small in order to accommodate tables. As well, actors serve patrons so I needed to design an outfit to protect the costumes and suspend disbelief. And from patron reactions, we've been told this is one of the best openings, if not the best opening, and the best show/costume the theatre has had to date and hoped we'd be back, which was very, very kind of them.

Mungojerrie/Macavity split track, played by Andre Spathelf-Sanders and yeah, this jerk who keeps showing up. I adore the whole cast to bits truly but we're planning on cosplaying Green Lantern together and he was the first to get my "Archer" references in the make up classes. If it's ever of interest, I'm happy to sometime talk about my make up classes and what to do when there are "mistakes" with what I call the Bob Ross Method.

Demeter by Iraya Catalina is making an argument that maybe all Demeters need to be Filipino because she slays!

Jennyanydots and her incredibly supportive husband. She was one of the most delightful people to work with, hilarious, fun, loving, amazing hugs, and just a joy. I've never had a Jenny almost refuse to take the Gumbie suit off (which is a huge compliment). What a joy.

David was the make up designer for all of the designs except Bombalurina's, and I taught about 5-hours of make up classes.

The magic of an incredible LED screen came into play as there were cool effects, such as a first person POV of a cat going to the junkyard (bringing YOU into the show) and the sky changing with the hours of the day, the moon, everything. The lighting designer Dalton Hamilton was wonderful and provided the following photographs. All costumes designed/created by David and myself (The Costume Asylum/Siegert Creative):

I am going to try to get some rehearsal pics and one of the funniest bloopers ever but I hope this is a nice start. Happy Sunday, I'm happy to be home, but I miss these kitties so much already!

Mistoffelees: Tug, they are heard in the whole junkyard!

Rum Tum Tugger, almost crying: Misto, I know! They're teething, have fever, are ill and I can't do anything for them! I can only stay as a strong, competent and calm parent for them and you aren't helping!

Mistoffelees: Oh... I'm sorry... Can I do... Something? Anything?

Rum Tum Tugger: I don't know at that point. Jenny's remedies aren't working, Munku was so tired he rather passed out than went to sleep and I'm still here only because he let me sleep longer than he should...

Mistoffelees: It's my fault...

Rum Tum Tugger: It's not. You gave us our dear kittens, our suns and I wouldn't change a thing in them. They are perfect as they are. It's just... Hard sometimes.

Mistoffelees: They should be healthy and strong as both of you! How could I mess so much and make them so fragile? They are ill almost all the time!

Rum Tum Tugger: Misto, it's. Not. Your. Fault. Things happen. You didn't mess... You gave us a new family. We don't blame you, do you understand?

Mistoffelees: No. I don't. You should be angry at me and demand more help... Demand everything, actually. You are my best friends and I disappointed you so much... And I completely don't know how to make things better!

Rum Tum Tugger somehow manages to hug Mistoffelees and both crying kittens: It's OK, it's OK... you didn't disappoint anyone. You're the best friend I have and you didn't mess. And you're here... Helping me ground myself and stay sane. It's more than you think...

Mistoffelees: I wish I could do more. What good is my magic when it can't help in a moment like that?

Rum Tum Tugger: You can. Stay with me. Help me with all those little things. Talk with me. Carry one of them maybe, for a moment. Talk to them. You're their honorary father, maybe they just want your attention?

Mistoffelees, with a small smile: That I can do.

Rum Tum Tugger: You see? You don't need your magic, we need only your big heart and amazing you.

(OK, I have zero idea from what hole it came and why. It was supposed to be something small and funny and... Well. But yeah, it's still my headcanon and some version of that scene will be in my fanfiction I want to write. Cysiek and TuśTuś were small and often ill and Mistoffelees definitely had a hard time believing it wasn't his fault. It was him who pulled those kits from a hat and they should be healthy, strong kittens, as their fathers. And he has no idea what went wrong! Tugger and Munku never were blaming him for that, not in the smallest word or thought, but it was hard for him to believe that, especially in moments like that.)

so a lot of my thoughts about the parallels come from this post made by @was-there-ever!!

(and ofc this is all based around the revival choreography!!!)

so, for starters, one of the very obvious parallels is the costumes!! Macavity's costume resembles Tugger's quite a bit, with the same fur coloring and positions. Macavity's got a mane as well, though it's obviously very matted and torn up, so right there is a visual connection between the two!

next, this is specific to the promo videos that the 2016 revival did (that i CANNOT FIND), but in it, Macavity and Tugger both do the same little movement, where they walk beneath Victoria, who is being supported by (i think) Tumblebrutus and Alonzo. it's a little thing, but that's something that's always stood out to me!

now onto the number itself!!!

Macavity and Tugger both spend a large chunk of their time on the steps up to Deut's tire, in the center of the stage, making everyone look at them

When Tugger has everyone singing together and dancing together, they're having fun. It's because they want to. When it's Macavity, you can tell that they're uncomfortable and being controlled by him.

and for my FAVORITE FUCKING PARALLEL MOMENT THAT I'M 100% POSITIVE WAS ON PURPOSE IS THE TUGGOFFELEES AND DEMCAVITY MOMENT

i think @magical-marvelous-mistoffelees said it best: Tugger and Misto are working together. Tugger's holding onto Misto's arm, he's planting his feet. Misto is the one moving, he's the one who is guiding that moment. He's trusting that Tugger will catch his arm and stop him if he throws himself a little too far. Tugger's eyes are ALWAYS on Misto, making sure that they're in sync, and that he's not going to fall. This is quite obviously a move that they have practiced and perfected together. The trust they have in each other in this moment is painfully obvious.

Then, you have the exact same movements, but the physicality is so different: Macavity is holding Demeter's hand. His feet aren't steady, he's not even making sure she's planted in place. he's throwing her around, yanking her into the proper positions instead of letting her guide the moment. He's barely looking at her, glancing at her at the last moment to make sure he's got control of her. Demeter is trying so hard to free her arm, she is terrified in this moment.

and because I'm a sucker for the revival lighting design, i have to talk about the spotlights:

During Tugger's song (yes it's Misto controlling the lights), the yellow spotlights are bright, solid, and controlled. There's a spotlight for almost each cat, highlighting them during that moment.

During the Macavity sequence, the red lights don't really have a place to go. They're bleeding out into the rest of the stage, there's no purpose to them other than for Macavity to show off. It's highlighting him.

yeah the 2016 revival said Deuteronomy Brother Rights and i love that for them <3

ALSO there's everything with Munk and Alonzo in this number vs. Tugger's number:

how in Tugger's number they're chiding and staying off to the side, never once interfering except to make fun of Tugger in that sibling way. They trust him, adn they trust Mistoffelees.

In the Macavity sequence, obviously, they are front and center the moment he shows up. There is no hesitation, none of that playful teasing in Tugger's song. Macavity is a threat, and that's what matters.

MUSEUM DATE!!!

They would absolutely love going on museum dates together!!

I have a small hc that one of the reasons Jerrie likes to steal things is bc he likes the history behind them (I have a similar hc for teazer too) ALSO who's better at steal things than the british museums?? Jerrie has deep respect for that lmao (I'm british I can amd will dunk on my country)

And I hc Misto also has a big fascination with the past (part bc of Victoria and part bc hes a nerd) plus he loves anything about learning and adores everything sparkly so yeah he likes museums too xD

They often spend most of there time in the Egyptian exhibit for obvious reason, but they do each have their own favourites (Misto is particularly interesting in the Victorian exhibit while Jerrie is definitely a fan of the tudors and Roman empire stuff the museum has for show!!)

All in all they love telling eachother about the little bits they've learnt about and what was their favourite bits (and what Jerrie would love to come back and steal lol)

And at the end, Mungojerrie always makes sure to swipe Mistoffelees a little something from the gift shop while Misto magics them some food from a near by cafe!

Me: So the Jellicle cats are a clowder right? And they’re super accepting of differences in a way I wish the real world was. Of course there are things like “confidence is a good trait for a cat to have” or “you really should take good care of how your coat looks”, but if anyone deviates from what could be considered the norm, no one reacts badly to it. Being eccentric or a little out there is seen as a really cool thing among Jellicles, and having something about you that sets you appart from the rest of them, for example George being a dog and not a cat, is no issue at all! All around, the Jellicle clowder celebrates their differences and-

Some evil, angst loving part of my brain: Cryptid!Misto, as a kitten, was a little weirdo, and freaked out many others in the clowder so much that they avoided him and treated him like he was something other, something dangerous. It made him feel like an outcast among the people who were supposed to be his family, which progressively destroyed him. When the Jellicles realize they had no reason to fear him and that he was genuinely just a lovely cat with some spooky powers, it’s almost too late, and all they can do is hope to salvage what is left of his trust in them. When Jemima arrives with Demeter, and starts to display signs of cryptid magic similar to Mistoffelees’s, the clowder does it differently, and does it right, and shower her with as much love and affection as they can to make sure she knows that she is part of the clowder. Misto still only feels comfortable around a few of the clowder members, but as he does his best to watch over his fellow cryptid to make sure the clowder treats her better than they treated him (or, if they hadn’t changed, maybe even save her from them) he sees how the clowder has genuinely changed since he was a kitten. Slowly, they all start to heal.

Me, crying: Alright, okay, yeah that’s cool I guess. Mhm. Yup.

Day 12 of Cats-pril by @storyweaverofgondor! Today’s prompt was tyre, and my idea was that the Kittens must think the tyre is magical, seeing how it rises up during the ball! Also I feel like I never write my girl Etcetera, so, voilà. Also on Ao3 here.

“What are you doing, Sweetheart?” Jellylorum asked. All she could see of her youngest kitten was the tip of her grey and yellow tail.

“Mama!” Etcetera shrieked. “Tumble said this tyre was magic! So I’m investigating it.”

“Did he, now?” Jelly hummed with a smile, peering into the middle of the large old tyre that looked over the Junkyard.

“Yeah,” Etcetera replied, poking her head up and leaning her chin on the inner rim of the worn rubber. “I didn’t believe him, of course, so I asked Misto because he’s magic.”

“And what did he say?”

“He said he’d look at it with me, and then he said ‘yes, it’s magic, watch this’, and then he jumped into the middle here where I am now and disappeared! So it’s definitely magic, because it made that Grizzy Cat vanish too, didn’t it?”

Jelly carefully made sure not to laugh. Of course, it must have looked like a magic tyre to the Kittens, who were just a bit too young to understand quite what it meant to be the Jellicle Choice.

“Yes, she did disappear after standing on the tyre, didn’t she?” Jelly chose her words cautiously; she didn’t want to lie to her Kitten, but didn’t want to quash her fun either.

“Yes! That was fine, but I don’t want to tell Victoria I lost her brother! If the tyre ate him she’ll be so smad!” Etcetera wailed.

“‘Smad’?”

“Sad and mad mixed together,” Etcetera explained, waving a paw as though this were obvious. To her, it probably was. “But if Vic gets smad, then Plato will get sad and Alonzo will get angry, and then Munkustrap will get all worried, and then Demeter will get all worried, and then Jemima, and everyone will get mad at me! And-”

“Cettie!” Jelly interrupted her increasingly loud and high pitched monologue. “No one is getting angry, or worried, or ‘smad’, ok? You know Misto, don’t you? What kind of Cat is he?”

“A Magic Cat?”

“Yes, but what else?” Jelly pressed.

“A Conjuring Cat?”

“Exactly, which means that if he disappears, he can conjure himself back, just like he did to Old Deuteronomy, remember?”

Understanding dawned on Etcetera’s face and her frown cleared as she realised what her mum meant.

“Oh yeah!” she squealed. “I forgot he could teleport. But should he not have come back by now?”

“Hmmm,” Jelly thought out loud. “Well, teleporting must be difficult, don’t you think? I think it’s hard to aim when you can’t see where you’re going. Maybe he did come back, but popped up in a different place?”

At that, Cettie leaped up on top of the tyre, a look of excitement in her eyes.

“Of course, Mama, you’re right! I should go find him, make sure he’s ok after the tyre played a trick on him. I’ll ask Tugger, he always knows where he is!” She jumped down and tore across the clearing towards the alley where Tugger’s den was. “You be careful there too, Mama! That tyre is tricksy!”

“I’ll watch myself!” Jellylorum called back, stifling a laugh as Etcetera vanished around the bend. She had no doubt Cettie would find Misto curled up in Tugger’s den having a nap, and they’d all have a laugh about it later.

Going anthro/human AU here. Mix of Zurich!Misto and 1998!Misto. He isn't mute in this version.

Mistoffelees considered this Christmas-y dance show around the wards of the local hospital a roaring success. The kids loved his enthusiastic dancing, the old people were moved by his dance to an old nostalgic carol, and this ward had an enthusiastic bunch of patients too--well, perhaps a little overenthusiastic on one patient's part with his whooping whenever Misto did his conjuring turns. A pointed glare in his direction did not work, nor did pointedly not looking in his direction work either. It was all Misto could do to ignore him and not sigh out aloud in exasperation. He came here to entertain, not to be annoyed by some overly enthusiastic twenty-something who kept cheering whenever Misto so much as pointed a freaking toe.

To be fair, Mistoffelees had to remind himself at one point, maybe he might've been high on meds.

Yeah that has to be it. Totally meds.

Mistoffelees was deep in conversation with Victoria when someone tapped him on the shoulder. He flinched away from the unwanted contact and whirled around to see who it was--

Oh great. Just fantastic.

"Sooo," the overenthusiastic young man drawled with a grin and hands on hips. "What's your name again?"

"Mistoffelees."

Mistoffelees began to turn around when the annoying dude who wouldn't leave him alone tapped him on the shoulder again.

"Hey!" Mistoffelees snapped, a little louder than intended, "I don't like being touched."

A flash of hurt in the patient's eyes and he lowered his hand back down.

"Okay, sorry, didn't mean to upset you. So...Mistoffelees?"

"Yes."

"Can I call you Misto?"

"No. I haven't seen you before in my life, therefore no. Only friends can call me that."

"Oh okay. So uh...are you gonna ask me my name?" Here, the patient grinned what he clearly imagined to be a smile that would charm the pants off Mistoffelees.

Well, it wasn't working. But it was clear even to Mistoffelees that he wasn't budging any time soon--though maybe if he asked his name, he might actually leave him alone. It was worth a try anyway.

"Fine. Your name is...?"

The taller man puffed out his chest. "Terrence Mann."

Mistoffelees looked him up and down and folded his arms.

"I really don't think your name is Terrence Mann."

"Ah, my bad, of course," the patient said, before clearing his throat and throwing a wink at Mistoffelees. "It's really John Partridge."

Mistoffelees narrowed his eyes, not fooled. "Really?"

"Nah, I'm just joking," and the youth threw back his head with a laugh like this was the most hilarious thing in the whole goddamn Milky Way Galaxy.

Mistoffelees rolled his eyes. "No, you had me completely fooled."

"Ooh, really?"

"No."

"Time to 'fess up then, Mistoffelees." He primped himself up, brushing back his ears and puffing out his chest again, looking the prince of handsomeness. "My real name? It's The Rum Tum Tugger."

Mistoffelees arched an eyebrow. "The Rum Tum Tugger?"

"Aaah! So you have heard of me! Yes, I am the one and only, the Rum Tum Tugger!" Tugger bowed dramatically. "And I am honoured to be graced by the presence of the one and only Magical Mister Mistoffelees."

A long, awkward silence followed this before Mistoffelees sighed, really eager to pack up for home now.

"I only did thirty spins in a row. I can do that any time."

"Only thirty? Only?!" Tugger gaped, looking like he'd heard the world's most astounding fact. "You mean, you can do more?"

"In my sleep."

Tugger whistled low. "Whoa."

Mistoffelees really, really couldn't wait to get home again.

First of all, THANK YOU!!! I love an excuse to talk about my hyperfixations so truly thank you :D

I’m currently hyperfixated on Cats the musical, specifically the 1998 film but a few other productions as well. I personally don’t like the 2019 movie but no hate to anyone who does. That being said, assume I’m talking about the 1998 film unless otherwise specified

💕 tell us about one of your favorite characters and why you like them!

The magical Mr Mistoffelees, my boy <3 headcanons is the way I show my love to characters and media, and Misto is very Headcanonable™️, heavily because he is magic, it has so much potential for headcanons!

I also have a fondness for mute/nonverbal characters, and while there is very little spoken dialogue, Mistoffelees is one of the more in-focus characters and has proportionally fewer lines. I think that’s what drew my attention to him in the first place. That, and his design being very easy to spot (and cute!) even in the background

I have also come to the conclusion about myself that for me to hyperfixate on something, there has to be a character I can look at and go “yeah, that one’s cishetn’t and autistic” which does in fact apply to him, which smoothly brings me to the next question!

🏳️‍🌈 do you have any headcanons (lgbt, race, neuro etc) that are important to you?

Mistoffelees being gay and autistic are huge comforts to me, being an autistic lesbian myself with not many characters to represent me. There’s a lot of reasons for the autistic headcanon, some of the main ones being his stimming! He has at least two distinct stims in the 1998 film:

The happy arm winding stim

And the anxious ear scratchy stim

There’s also that he seems a bit socially awkward (conveyed completely without dialogue!) and gets excited over things in a way I relate to because I’m autistic. And of course the selectively mute/nonverbal thing, which is also a comfort headcanon.

I also have a general headcanon that neurodiversity and magic are somewhat connected, in the way that magical/mystical cats are more likely to be neurodiverse, which are headcanons I have for Sillabub and Old Deuteronomy. But there are also ND headcanons I have for non-magical cats, like Etcetera and Munkustrap.

Also, there are very few of the cats I look at and think “that one’s cishet”, I have a bunch of lgbt headcanons and I don’t have the time or energy to list them all, but for example Mungojerrie being trans is a big one I’m unwilling to sway on. Reasons being he is often interpreted as a calico cat which mostly ever happens for cats with two X chromosomes, and that I headcanon Rumpleteazer as his identical twin sister, which would mean they have the same genetic structure and therefore the same gender assigned at birth.

💎 are there any fun facts or trivia that you would like to share?

The first thing I come to think of is how many scenes they cut from the 1998 film and how much pain it brings me /lh They at least cut a verse from Jennyanydots’ song and one from Jerrie and Teazer’s song. They also cut quite a bit of dancing out of the Jellicle Ball, and they decided to cut Mistoffelees conjuring turns!!!! Which is like, his signature move!! And those are just the things I know from the top of my head! What I would give to get my gay little hands on those scenes. Jacob Brent (who played Mr Mistoffelees in 1998 and other productions) is our savior for uploading the conjuring turns on his own

I cannot say I’m in the least bit upset about them cutting Growltiger’s Last Stand (although that was due to lack of time and not simply deciding to not include it). It’s a super racist song and I’m so happy it’s not in the production that I love the most. Fck Growltiger’s Last Stand all my homies hate Growltiger’s Last Stand

Would You Sit On His Throne: Old Deut and His Kids

So, it’s generally understood that Old Deuteronomy has a lot of kids, but the two cats that are definitely his kids are Munkustrap and Tugger. That’s the explanation that most people who’ve been in a production, or near a production, will give you. Sometimes Macavity might be thrown in there as well, but that’s really more of a popular headcanon that’s popular with actors as well as fans. It’s not official.

Other than that, everything else is speculation that varies from production to production. The only other cat that’s ever been confirmed as a son of Old Deuteronomy is Mistoffelees in Jacob Brent’s commentary. I’ve seen this as a headcanon in fan circles, but he’s the only one officially tied to a production to say it. Because of how that stands out, I’ve always been curious about where it came from. Why is this production, the most well-known production, apparently so different from the others? Brent didn’t mention Munkustrap or Tugger as Old D’s sons or as Misto’s brothers either.

Because of that last sentence, I don’t consider this a debunking of Tuggoffelees. It wasn’t being done intentionally here, but this doesn’t make it into an Incestuous Sin Ship. Tugger might not be Old D’s son in this version. But, Tugger feels like Old D’s son in this version. So does Munkustrap. But, for the most part, Mistoffelees doesn’t. No matter what’s said, if I hadn’t been told about it, I never would’ve suspected any relation between Old D and Misto. Yeah, they both have magic, but it’s not the same. Old D has this sort of vague, spiritual power while Misto’s powers are far more direct. Also, Misto can teleport cats to him from unknown locations and Old D can’t use magic to escape a net being thrown over his head. And magic isn’t always hereditary in fiction anyway.

I don’t need to do a whole essay to explain why Old D as Misto’s dad doesn’t work for me. That’s not actually what I’m doing here. I’m not thinking about the logical reasons why this might not make sense, but rather, what I said about it not feeling like Old D and Misto are father and son. When watching them interact, it doesn’t feel like watching a father and son interact, except for the reunion after Misto brings Old D back.

Then I started watching other productions.

When I watched the Zurich 1992 bootleg, it felt more like Misto could be Old D’s son, because they interacted slightly differently. Misto in that bootleg was played by Lindsay Chambers, who was playing Misto on Broadway when Jacob came onto the project, which is probably why their characterizations seem so similar, and might be where the idea of Misto as Old D’s son came from. They could’ve been playing it that way in Zurich and Chambers just continued it on Broadway, and that’s what Jacob learned.

But, there was really one specific moment that stood out to me when it came to Old D and Misto. This doesn’t just apply to the two versions I’ve mentioned previously, but to all of them. I think there’s one moment that establishes who Old D’s kids are in each production, or at least what an audience without context might be able to guess.

It’s the end of the Old Deuteronomy number, when he’s first seated on his throne.

So, Old D appears, he sits on the tire, which becomes a sort of throne, and most of the cats sit on the floor, facing the tire. But, a few remaining standing, on or near the tire, facing the crowd, almost on the same level as Old D. They’re associated with Old D and they seem important up there. This is the Jellicle Royal Family.

I’m going to show a lot of pictures from different productions, many of them bootlegs or cheaply filmed pro-shots where it’s difficult to see who’s who at times, which is why I’m circling the characters standing by the throne. It’s unnecessary here, but I need everything to be consistent because I’m just Like That, I guess. So, from here on out, Tugger will be circled in red, because it’s the sexy color. Gray fur on cats is often called blue, so Munk gets blue. Also it contrasts with red. In productions where there’s someone else up there, they’ll be circled in white, because it’s neutral and contrasts with both red and white. The choice of red, white, and blue is not meant to contain any patriotic message. It might look a bit silly though.

Anyway, Munkustrap and Tugger end the number standing beside Old D. They also performed the number. It makes sense, with them both taking the lead, to see them as connected to Old D. Munkustrap has taken a leadership role throughout the show, but Tugger disappeared after his own number and this is something new with him. It’s pretty clear by now that they’re both important in the tribe’s hierarchy. You’ll also notice that Munk’s standing a bit closer to Old D than Tugger is. He generally seems to prefer to keep the others at a distance and, as the younger son, he’s not as important in this moment.

Now, this is just one version. Here’s another one:

This is from Madrid. It’s pro-shot and in good quality, so it’s also pretty easy to see everyone, though Munkustrap is kind of fading into the shadows here.

This UK Tour bootleg is terrible, so the circles were definitely needed here. Tugger is even further away in this version. And Munkustrap, Cat of the People, is still on the ground, but he’s holding Old D’s hand.

The German Tent Tour bootleg is a bit better quality, but Munk and Tugger are on opposite sides of the tire from where they usually are.

So far, I’ve been showing London-based productions. Are Broadway-based productions any different? Well...

The Troika tour used different staging, so Old D’s still standing at the end, surrounded by various members of the crowd. However, most Broadway-based productions aren’t like this.

Buenos Aires was, like most international productions before the VHS, Broadway-based. Tugger is camouflaged on the pipe, but everyone’s in a similar place to where they usually are.

Even in the Broadway Revival, which restages some of the numbers, it’s the same cats up front. The only major difference is that Tugger isn’t off to the side. This Tugger is less standoffish and more openly affectionate than most Tuggers, so this makes sense.

So, Old D is always surrounded by his two sons. But, then there are Vienna-based productions:

Munkustrap is where he usually is and Tugger is only slightly closer than he usually is, but look: Mistoffelees, after bringing Old D on stage, instead of joining the others as he usually does, goes up front and sits down next to him, so there are three cats on Old D’s throne.

The Paris version, despite being pro-shot, turned into such a blob that not even circles would save it:

Tugger and Misto cuddle up to Old D, but good luck figuring that out.

And here’s the all-important Zurich production. Tugger is behind the throne, while Munk and Misto are on either side, framed almost equally. This is the version where Misto spends most of the first act being awkward and getting into trouble. He’s usually not allowed around the important people. But, with Old D, nobody questions it. He’s supposed to be there.

In these versions, Misto is placed with the cats who sing the song. Along with having the job of getting Old D, this puts him on their level. He seems like another son here. If the VHS was staged this way, more people probably would’ve headcanoned Misto as Old D’s son.

As an added bonus, here’s the Hamburg version. It’s not Vienna-based, but it also puts Misto up front. Tugger still sings his verse in this version, but he doesn’t get near the throne. It might be that he’s just out of frame, since this is a bootleg, filmed by people who probably didn’t know exactly what to film, but he’s usually placed somewhere where he’d be visible from this distance. Instead, Munk and Misto are at Old D’s two sides, in a near equal way, similar to Zurich.

So, that’s my take. In any given productions, the characters I see as Old D’s sons are the ones who stand by his throne when he gets there. That framing gives off that vibe. Because the VHS didn’t do this, it’s hard to see Misto as Old D’s son there.

Hard and fast. Emphasis on hard. He likes being slammed down and taken hard. He may be small, but he’s never liked it gentle. He wants a tom that will dig their claws into him and fuck him until he’s gasping through his orgasm.

Although, he does quiet enjoy slow and sensual. On occasion, especially if it’s an anniversary, he’ll prefer slow. He’ll keep it going as long as he can. Gently kiss his partner, whisper nice things to them —that kind of stuff.

Big YES. Misto likes to be adored, so kissing is always on the table. If he’s having sex with someone he wants to kiss them before, during and after as much as possible. His lips are swollen and sore afterwards, but it’s always worth it.

Misto is a size king. He’s often met with concern from his partners. With them being quite large and Misto being a small cat and all. He normally rolls his eyes at that assumption and assures that he can take it —and he does very well.

Does your character like to roleplay? If so, what?

He does! Roleplays he’s particularly fond of are: Magician and assistant, famous idol/rockstar/poet etc. and groupie, beauty and the beast —to name a few.

Does your character prefer condoms or bareback?

He prefers bareback. He only ever has sex with whoever he’s in a relationship with.

Your character’s most private sexual fantasy?

Mistoffelees most private fantasy involves semi-public sex. Being somewhere he could potentially get caught is exciting for him! Being anxious someone might accidentally stumble upon him being filled up? Exhilarating. That’s not to say he actually wants to be caught. The thought of someone he knows seeing him like that is humiliating and shameful, but the idea of almost being caught is attractive to him.

How sexually active is your character?

Single? Not at all.

In a relationship? Very. If his partner is good at what they do then he’ll want it whenever he can have it. A big part of why he enjoys sex so much is being close to the person he’s with as well.

When did your character lose their virginity?

He didn’t lose his virginity until his early adulthood. It was with a Tom he was seeing at the time and it was.. okay. He didn’t enjoy it as much as he thought he might have and felt confused that that was what everyone was talking about.

Mistoffelees likes a little bit of pain play. Having claws raked down his chest or a hand around his neck is something he enjoys a lot.

He also likes praise and a little bit of bondage is nice too. Struggling to move when there’s something holding him down —very nice.

He’s not interested in anything weird. Feet or body odor? Nasty. Hygiene is very important to him.

A character that yours fantasizes about coupling with?

Mistoffelees had a confusing time. Sexually, he was attracted to a hand full of toms in the junkyard. The ones that he actually wanted to have sex with though? Fewer.

He found the more romantically involved he was with someone the more strongly he felt sexually aroused around them. In the earlier years, he had a BIG crush on Munkustrap. Hilariously, being surrounded by other cats who swooned over Tugger when he was more attracted to his older brother.

I think Mistoffelees didn’t have very many sexual feelings growing up and then had an “Oh” moment when Munkustrap wrapped an arm around him one day.

The crush went on for a few months until it eventually fizzled out. He dated a while, but nothing really got his rocks off.

Then Macavity showed up and Mistoffelees hated him —only to have another “Oh” followed by an “oh no” moment when he realized he was starting to have feelings for him. Spending more time with him and then realizing he wasn’t as bad as he’d initially thought. He was always attracted to Macavity, but now he was extremely attracted to him. He spent a fair amount of nights cumming alone with Macavity’s name on his lips 🤭
