“Hey, could I request a fluffy fic with Mereo x fem! Reader, please? It would be the reader’s birthday and they don’t really want to celebrate because they’ve been disappointed in the past. But Mereo surprises them with birthday stuff or a party anyway because she wants her to enjoy her birthday again.”

Y/N sighed as she walked towards the Vermillion residence, her girlfriend of three years, Mereoleona Vermillion, told her to come by around late afternoon when she finished her shift at the Crimson Lions base. She had been confused and curious at the request, but had agreed nonetheless.

So here she was, standing outside the residence, wondering what awaited her on the other side. She lifted her hand and knocked a few times, she waited a minute or two before one of the maids of the house answered.

“ Ah Miss Y/N, we’ve been expecting you. This way please.” She said with a warm smile on her face as she moved out of the way to allow the young woman inside.

She nodded in thanks and stepped inside the house. The maid quickly closed the door before walking ahead of Y/N. The two walked quietly down the hall, the young lady could hear voices belonging to the Vermillion siblings floating down the hallway. Their voices were excited as usual, but it sounded like there was a hint of nervousness as well.

The maid knocked on the door that led to the dining hall, they heard the Vermillions shout for them to come in, and the maid gestured for Y/N to walk through the door before turning around and walking away.

Y/N opened the door and frowned at the sight before her.

The room was decorated with a banner and streamers, there was food, desserts, and gifts set out on the tables, and in the center of the room sat an extravagant cake big enough to feed the entire Crimson Lions.

“ You’re here.” Mereoleona said as she walked up to Y/N, the woman turned to look at her girlfriend as she wrapped an arm around her and placed a kiss on her cheek.

Y/N looked around the room again, as she opened and closed her mouth repeatedly. She couldn’t begin to find the words to describe how she was feeling at this moment.

“ I think we made Y/N speechless big sis!” Leo shouted cheerfully as he finished hanging up the banner, and Fuegoleon chuckled.

“ It appears your surprise party worked after all, Mereoleona.” Fuegoleon said as he walked up to the couple.

“ What’s wrong, love? Don’t you like it?” Mereo asked as she looked at her silent girlfriend. The young woman finally looked at Mereo again, but this time with tears in her eyes.

“ Why…did you do this?” She asked softly, the question sounded ungrateful at first, but luckily Mereo and her brothers all knew that she was actually feeling the opposite of ungrateful.

“ Because,” Mereo began softly as she held the young woman tighter. “ you told me a while ago how disappointed you were in the past because people either forgot to celebrate this amazing day, or they just didn’t care to celebrate it. So I wanted to show you that there were people who love you and were more than happy to celebrate this day with you, and maybe it would bring back the joy you’ve been missing.”

Tears of joy fell down Y/N’s cheeks before she quickly wrapped her arms around Mereo in a tight embrace. The vermillion haired woman placed a kiss on top of her head before hugging her back tightly.

“ C’mon you two, let’s have some dinner and open some presents.” Fuegoleon said with a gentle smile as he turned and walked towards the tables.

Y/N nodded and Mereo took her hand and they followed her younger brother. The group ate, laughed, opened presents, and told lots of stories from their past as the afternoon turned to night.

Later, Mereo convinced her girlfriend to spend the evening at the Vermillion residence, and as they said goodnight to Fuegoleon and Leo they calmly made their way to Mereo’s room.

“ So, did you enjoy your birthday?” Mereo asked as they stood outside her bedroom, and the younger woman nodded.

“ I did, it’s the first time I’ve truly enjoyed my birthday in a while,” she admitted with a soft smile. “ Thank you Mereo.”

“ Anytime love, I’m glad I was actually able to pull it off in time.” Mereo said with a chuckle as she kissed Y/N before opening her bedroom door.

The couple walked into the room and settled down for the evening, with Y/N being as happy as she could be. As she closed her eyes to drift off to sleep, she silently hoped that next year would be just as amazing, and just as enjoyable, as it was this year.

Hiya! Since both your requests were similar I just decided to combine them 🥰, there isn’t much Mereo and Leo fluff and it could be because we don’t see the two interact very much 😔, but I hope you all enjoy, I apologize this isn’t hurt/comfort and is 100% fluff!

“ Good, you’re getting stronger,” Mereoleona began as she walked towards her little brother. “ But you’re still no match for me!” She added with a laugh as she stood over Leopold.

Every time she spared with him, she felt him get stronger and stronger, which made her very happy and proud, But she grew confused when she watched him throw his arm over his eyes and sigh in frustration.

“ I’m still not strong enough,” He muttered as he hit his fist against the ground. “ No matter how hard I try…I’m still not strong enough.”

“ Eh? What the heck are you talking about, kid?” Mereo asked as the confusion on her face bled into her voice.

“ I’m not strong enough to protect you and Big Brother,” Leo said softly, his frustration evident in his voice. “ You two, are always risking your lives to protect me and everyone else. So I want to get strong enough, so I can protect you guys too, and I thought I finally had it but…I guess I was wrong.” Leo said with a sigh as he sat up and rubbed the back of his head.

Mereoleona blinked before she crouched down to his level. She reached out and gently ruffled his hair, causing him to look up at her in surprise.

“ You’ve gotten a lot stronger, Leo, especially when I compare your strength from a few weeks ago,” Mereoleona said honestly. “ Just because you aren’t strong enough to beat me or Fuegoloen doesn’t mean you’re weak. One day, as long as you keep training like you are, you’ll be able to beat us. But for now, just focus on protecting the country and its citizens.” Mereoleona finished as she ruffled his hair a little rougher.

“ So…you’re saying that I’m on my way to becoming as strong as you and Big Brother?” Leo asked, and he smiled brightly when he watched his Big Sister nod.

“ But that doesn’t give you permission to slack off on training!” Mereoleona quickly said as she stood up and held her hand out to him. “ So, what do ya say? Wanna go for another round?” She asked with a grin.

Leo quickly nodded before he grabbed his Big Sister's outstretched hand and pulled himself up, he dusted off his pants and grabbed his grimoire before he stood in his battle stance.

“ Alright, come at me with everything you’ve got!” Leo roared and Mereoloena laughed.

“ Bring it on, kid, but don’t come crying to me when I beat you again!”
