this is the face arthur fears the most. the disappointment and the barely contained brimming anger. arthur knows he’s in the wrong, trying to fix it for him, thinking “it’s the best for eames”, despite eames asking not to meddle with it. arthur knows he has crossed a line he shouldn’t have. his inherent nature of taking care of everyone had actually caused eames pain and arthur doesn’t know how to make it better. whatever apology arthur can think of dead and dusted in his mouth, all he wants is for eames to lose the hatred in his eyes and the disappointment set in his lips.

the face eames fears the most is not arthurs anger or disappointment; instead it’s arthur being scared and shaken. eames knows he should’ve double checked the one detail he has missed, the detail he promised arthur that he has taken care of already. eames had only done it get one hour more sleep for arthur, but now eames is ready to trade anything to see arthur not looking so helpless and worried. eames selfishly realises he wants his ever solid rock to be unwavered and this horrified look of arthur is making his own stomach to treacherously leap in to his mouth. trying and failing to put a facade of confidence for both of their sakes, eames desperately wishes he could travel back in time to fix his mistake, just to see arthur lose the unsureness from his face.

I wonder if people notice. If doctors, restaurant servers, pharmacists, uber drivers, delivery guys, receptionists, and other strangers I interact with notice how awkward I am. How childish, how shy, how scared, how anxious, like I'm barely a human being. When doctors see my age, and then they proceed to have a conversation with me for like 30 minutes, do they see how something's wrong with me? How I'm on the verge of having a breakdown from simply having to exist in society? I must look so pathetic in their eyes. I must seem like a child in an adult's body. It feels like I'm cosplaying someone of my age, and it's embarrassing. I try to hard to act normal, but the raw, unfiltered side of me... it shows.

Leisurely, but with a steady and sure move, guide the fork and the cube cheese attached to it into your mouth, close your lips around it, and free the cheese cube into your mouth.

Slowly slide the fork out from between your lips.

Additionally:

Don’t forget the charming smile.

Never move your gaze away while you are applying this technique.

Guaranteed, it will leave them mesmerized by your skill to do something as simple as a cheese eating, in a way so alluring.
