Meet Secret Meline! She was an accidental OC to be honest, I kinda just kept using the same name for every Pokemon game I've ever played so I figured she deserved to be fully fleshed out ^v^

She's a trans woman because I always used the girl sprite and I wanted her to be trans but I don't like how the guy sprites look so.... Trans! Plus, it makes the comment your rival makes more of a compliment than sexist ("I thought the gym leaders kid would be a boy...."). She's also 19 because I wanted her to still be young, but she's also not ageless like Ash Ketchum. She would've started her journey at the age of 11 and she's been to many regions and explored the Pokeworld to learn how to best bond with Pokemon. I imagine later she'd probably open a business to teach others how to bond with their own Pokemon more effectively.

She's essentially how I am as a trainer in the fact that she doesn't care about building a super strong and overpowered team. Her strength is entirely built on the friendship and trust she has with her party, and all of them love her unconditionally, leading them to trust her even when hit by effects that would leave them at a disadvantage. She's also one of my more athletic OC's, since she has to be given that she's a trainer ^v^

She also has a bag and the string on the side of her skirt is meant to hold her PokeBalls but given that she wouldn't have any Pokemon at the point of this drawing, they're not added to her just yet. Either way, I adore her as a character because I know she loves her Pokemon because I love my Pokemon UvU

Mumbles: Lowkey flirting with the ai Aether bot and he straight up told me he likes when I praise him, so I got inspired to write this. Added Lumine cuz girls need praise too! This was a field day for me whew. TLDR: the twins discover they have a praise kink and you help out.

Aether

It was a normal day out in Teyvat for Aether, solving puzzle after puzzle and collecting a lot of treasure

You, having nothing better to do, decided to join him for the day

He was excited to have you join in on his adventures, you usually spend most of your time away

So, as you can imagine, he made sure to show off extra hard today, just for you

And it worked!

You were surely impressed, looking at him in a quiet amazement as you smiled at his accomplishments

"Wow, starlight, you're quite proficient doing this type of things. You look so pretty doing it to, you've done such a good job getting treasure." You praise him in amazement

His planned worked!…perhaps a bit too well…

Aether smiled, albeit a bit strained, and you swore you heard a whine leave his lips

He looked away, planning on working on the next puzzle, so you decided to let the subject go

You decided to tone it down with the praise for a while, not wanting to make him uncomfortable

However, he seemed rather…sad, to not hear your praise at his actions

Well this isn't what he wanted, not at all!

He was decidedly more whiny around you, as if indirectly wanting to annoy the praise out of your system

Not gonna lie, it was a bit frustrating for you, but after feeling his lips against yours in a frenzy, you understood his message well enough.

Aether's moans were heavenly, and you made sure to let him know. You gently pulled him down to your thigh, helping him find a good rhythym. His hands were on your shoulders, using them as leverage to steady himself. His thighs were shaking as he moved against you, trying to chase his release.

'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' except xiao doesn't feel like anything he went through - that endless agony and suffering that sill haunts him in the middle of the night when he closes his eyes - made him any stronger. if anything, it made him wrecked. broken. tainted with blood and pain that he doesn't seem to be able to erase.

as he's panting heavily after defeating monsters full of bad karmic energy, he can feel it, almost. that disgusting sensation etching its way deep into his bones - so deep that he slowly starts to think it's impossible to erase it. to erase all the ugliness of this pain and karma and his own past actions from the depths of his shattering heart.

darkness only sinks in, deeper and deeper. wrapping around his heart, choking his throat until he can't breathe, can't think about anything other than how much easier it would be to be erased from this world. or better, die while protecting mortals. this way, he will fulfill his oath but also erase another dangerous being full of karma from the world - himself.

lumine is nothing like him, he thinks.

after losing everything - her wings, her only family - she held closely to her heart, and going through all the pain this world has to offer, she still hopes. her eyes gleam when she helps people, the corners of her lips curl upwards at the sight of pretty sunsets. she skips a few steps when she's excited and she acts like happy small bunny who is happy to explore the world and it's mysteries (recklessly, sometimes. or at least xiao thinks she is a bit foolish - in an endearing way but still, it makes him a bit worried sometimes. it makes him want to be better so he can stay by her side and fiercely protect her heart with all his might as it was more his than his own.).

in the pale moonlight, in xiao's eyes–in the spaces bettwen his racing heartbeat and trembling exhales, she looks almost like the personification of love herself.

....how can she be so soft despite it all?

xiao knows he shouldn't dare to get closer to her, to long for any semblance of her light and presence around him... to yearn for her love, for her... he isn't sure whether he deserves it, anyway... the closure he's able to offer her might hurt her in the end, he's all too aware of that possibility and it's scaring him - just like the want for her does... lumine deserves better than to deal with someone who's more akin to a monster than to human, so unlike her...

and yet, his heart lingers there; with a girl as gentle as the moonlight and as radiant as the sunlight, whose heart is pure gold and her smile lights up his world just a little bit and makes him wish he, too, could be soft. just like her love is.

To stay - It’s easy to forget when he stays for so long that one day he will leave. It’s inevitable. Really, you should know better. He’s done it with every nation he’s visited. He remains for a year—exploring, taking quests, getting close to everyone—and then the winds call him on to continue his journey. And then after that, what is left for you? Those biannual visits when a special event was being held? Those few times he invites you to his teapot or to explore with him? How can he see that it’s simply not enough?

Look initially I was not excited to hear that there would be “an area that changes with every dive.” Like one of the favorites parts about the game was exploring the areas, completing the maps (pushing myself in going to “scary” areas to do so), and revisiting beautiful areas. But something else this would likely impede on is there being a story! You go to different spots, explore different areas! It’s just not possible without specific locations.

And the trailer we got for the game did not even touch upon the story. I think perhaps the trailer is more meant to draw in new people unfamiliar with it.

It mentions this generated ever-changing area called the Veiled Sea, then immediately shows multiplayer.

The Veiled Sea is a fantasy place they can implement generated areas in. And multiplayer is through the Online Play (maybe locally it’d work too) ….I think it’d be very dumb of them to bank on this being an exclusively multiplayer game. (If that was the case why not just make a diving game with a separate title?)

The trailer shows the atmosphere of the dives. The story likely isn’t going to be as enticing for a trailer showing a few quick snippets… the story in Endless Ocean 2 was very low-key from what I remember. (Not many flashy action shots for a trailer lol.) It’s a low-key game (with some little scary moments haha.) So marketing it with the story might not work as well…. Maybe showing off multiplayer and endless dives is what they prioritized, bc multiplayer games are kinda a big thing right now.

I’m like 98% sure the multiplayer and generating sea is just a feature they wanted to entice with. That remaining 2% of doubt is bc sometimes ppl do dumb things. And it would be very dumb of them to abandon the story and land exploration aspects that the previous game had in a new installment.

We're gonna talk about two things here, what's said and what isn't.

First thing, what Al-Haitham is saying is that the Akademiya only works if people are benefited, when knowledge is gained from harming others or crossing any boundaries that Humans aren't meant to cross, then that's where trouble falls. Trouble follows because this is where the line is drawn between man and god, a line that Sumeru has intentionally blurred in their impassioned search for understanding. Alhaitham simplifies this egregious act by likening it to a typo in a book. I can't decide if it's more likely for Alhaitham to believe this level of violation to require a simple correction or if he simply does not think the Akademiya's corruption is something as wide-spread as it was. After all, we found this information from one group in one place that was used years before canon. Honestly, he reminds me greatly of Lisa Minci in his mentality regarding work and the way they treat knowledge. But anyways,

Second thing, the traveler’s preferred type of ally. The most trustworthy people are the ones with a personal code of conduct that you understand, this is seen specifically with Venti, Diluc, Xiao, Beidou, and Shenhe. Characters that they can "let their hair down" with, and trust with a little more of their bleeding heart than others. These are characters who have promised to show up and be there whenever needed or wanted, and then proved it.

Venti is shown to be the Traveler's favorite person to learn what's happening in Mondstadt and personal confident whenever things are stressful, Diluc has frequently made a space for them to rest in his tavern and home, Xiao quite literally promises to stop everything at their call and to kill if they cannot for emotional or physical reasons, Beidou offers them a place in her crew and help if they ever need it, and the Traveler also tells her more about their journey than they normally would with companions, and Shenhe values the Traveler immensely as her first human friend to the point that she literally goes to bat for them against Beshet and then continues to offer against any inconvenience. Bless her.

Basically, the traveler honors people who are honest with themselves and keep their word by holding them a little closer than their other company. Overall, I would say they value allies that are not aligned exactly with the government, that are influential in some capacity, have integrity, and are kind-hearted.

This isn't to say they don't value their other friends, but there is a reason certain characters get to hear about their past experience and current stressors.

Anyways I'm bringing this post back out of the drafts in honor of his first banner ending and his character quest being released <3 I'm sure this jackass is gonna be one of the fan favorites but also a treasured companion for the Traveler themselves going forward.

So I was thinking, would genshin ever make a duo element character? Because we know there are elemental creatures like wind whips and Oceanid and probably others we're unaware of, but what if, for example, an Oceanid got a vision and it wasn't by chance hydro.

The only way I think they could make this work is by having it function some how similar to Childes ranged vs melee playstyle.

Like, either the skill or burst switches your element for a certain duration, and perhaps fighting style? Like imagine an Oceanid sword user with a pyro vision. Their default is a hydro sword since that's their natural affinity. But when you use skill or burst, it switches them to their pyro kit for say 30 seconds (ideally the duration doesn't end if you swap out to someone else) Feel like this would prevent a broken self vaporise character, since the elemental application from the first element would get used up pretty quickly.

Example

Tidalwave: tap elemental skill deals aoe hydro damage. Hold E to switch to the Earthshaker state. While in the Earthshaker state, the characters elemental and burst will deal pyro damage. Duration: 30s

And I thought of this too

Ascension 4 passive: While in the Earthshaker state, energy regeneration is increased based on the characters max hp (because hydro default)

That, or their normal attack is one element and their skill/burst is another by default, but I feel like that's a bit too wonky for a functional kit. Also the reason we can't, and probably shouldn't be able to, mix and match the travelers elemental skill and burst. Kinda feels like it has to be two modes like childe

Honestly, this could be really cool, but also feels like it'd be hard to pull off well. (Also artifacts would be an absolute pain to figure out. You wouldn't want to use an elemental dmg goblet unless you're focusing really specifically one one element.)

Or, you know. It could be like the traveler where they can only use one element at a time with no access to the other unless you switch them. But that's boring.

Okay, now I actually kinda want to design a dual-element kit.

Actually now that we have have to basically evacuate Twitter while it crumbles into a pile of ashes, I wanna know something:

So I had a project that was/is in the works to over a bunch of tweets I found on Twitter about people talking about…or even so much as mentioning Azure Striker Gunvolt 3. Usually people talking about the story and characters.
