Lukas Dostal

-wakes you up with coffee

->come into your guys shared room.

->place a few kisses on your head helping you sit up handing you coffee either from your favorite place or some made at home if you are up when he’s getting ready for practice

-giving you all of his attention

->always loves to hear about your day or any new gossip you have learned

->would never tell you that he loves hearing the gossip but just loves seeing your eyes light up as you tell him all that’s going on at work

-always orders food if you say no

->He always makes sure to get extra food so you can have some too and that you never getting hungry and not have some food at home

->he loves skating with you as it’s his to favorite things and you both can just enjoy being on the ice together and can talk about things

-keeping a pad/tampon in his wallet for you

->always has one of him if you ever need it. he keeps both in there as he never remembers what you use but just keeps it on him

-spraying his cologne on your teddy bear when he has to leave

->he had gotten you a teddy bear with a umich shirt on it and he sprays it so you can cuddle it and know he loves you

->it even has a button on it that you can press and it says “I love you princess”

-wears a dog tag around his neck that has “I love you” engraved in your hand writing on it

->never takes it off and always wears it. You had gotten it for his 19th birthday and now calls it his lucky charm

-has a playlist made for you

->he had a made a playlist of songs that would remind you of him and that remind you that he’s all ways there for you and loves you.

->he even if he has something big coming up would stay up with you after a game to listen to all of the stuff that is bothering you or is coming up.

->he’d jokely say no to something like going to get ice cream and you’d put on a fake pout to which he’d kiss and say “I’m just kidding baby”

->he just wants you to have something that you can take with you to remind you that he loves you and sometimes it’s just even a small smiley face saying “thinking of you”

->in a loving way if your walking up the stairs or in front of him he’d give your butt a squish to remind you that he’s there

->He started doing it more when you got pregnant with your guys first kid and would always keep his head on your chest and a hand on your bump rubbing it.

-keeping a hair tie around his wrist

->he always has one around his wrist which comes in handy sometimes if you ever need your hair pulled back

-keeps eyes on you at all times

->wether you are cooking or out in public he always keeps an eye on you in a protective way making sure nothing happens to you.

->as he knows the dangers of Newark and the area of the city and he also doesn’t want you to silp up and accidentally cut yourself without him knowing

-braiding your hair

->he started doing it by himself but was worried he would tangle your hair so he asked you to teach him

->now anytime your sick or need your hair up he would braid it. Also has started watching YouTube videos on more ways to braid it

-puts his beanie on your head

->if he notices your ears even getting a hint of red in color he’s will take his beanie off his head putting it on yours and says “shush just wear it”

-writes your initial on his stick

->always after you both started getting serious he started putting your first and last letter on his stick with a heart as he thinks it would bring him more good luck

-always checks up on you

->wether it’s a small message or a 10 minute call every day he makes sure you are okay and doing okay

Jack Hughes

-covering corners when you lean over

->he’s like a slient protector. If you ask him about it he wouldn’t know what your talking about but he would always cover corners so you wouldn’t hit your head

-warms up a towel for you

->anytime your about to shower or in the shower he always makes sure to throw your towel in the dryer so it’s nice and warm when you come out.

-cooks for you

->from the articles it’s says that Jack is a good cook so he takes his chief abilities and makes you dinner when ever he can

->learns how to cook your favorite meal and cooks it for you every now and then

-being your cheerleader

-> he always has someone shouting for him including you but he wanted to be shouter for once and always cheers you on in anything you do whether it’s your job or just working out

-always sending you good morning and good night text

-if he’s not home he always makes sure to tell you good morning and night with a heart and I love you with it

-always has your favorite snacks at his place (Jack’s)

->literally has a sticky note on the snacks that say “don’t touch theses are for y/n”

->always makes sure you are fed and happy

->he does this to annoy you because he loves seeing the way your face goes and also a way of showing he is by your side

->if you are around him when he is talking to someone in French he would take his time to translate it all for you or if your in a all French grocery store he would translate the items for you

->he reminds when you both first met and the place where you met. When he first asked you out.

->if your shorter than him he likes to just pat you on the head when he sees you doing something like homework and cooking dinner instead of wrapping his arms around your waist

->he enjoys washing your hair especially when he knows it relaxes you and gently scratches your scalp too.

->He noticed how you were trying to learn it on your own so you could talk with him more so he started to teach you.

->he would say something in sovak and then make you point at what he meant

->he tells you about his hometown and how he’d love for one day that he could bring you there

->once you both moved in together is when you both started to have a late night ice cream run definitely when he is home

September 7, 2023

Connie walked down the hallway of the Blackhawks Arena and into the locker room for the first day of training camp.

She’s been in Chicago a couple times alreadly since the draft and likes the city pretty well already. She spent almost two weeks after the draft for the development camp and then signing her ELC.

Connie saw her name on the stall between Nick Foligno and Lukas, she walked over seeing Nick already sitting there.

She met Nick and his family the last time she was in Chicago and he was one of the few players in the city in the off season as they were moving and trying to get the kids settled. Connie really enjoys spending time with his kids and she had a feeling she would be spending a lot more time with them throughout the season.

“Hey Con.” Nick smiled a fatherly smile seeming to already taken Connie under his wing, not that she truly needed it she was natural at adjusting.

“Hi.” Connor soflty spoke back with an awkward nod as she sat down on her stall and took a deep breath calming her anxiety and hoping she will impress the team enough she would be staying on the team for the next season.

Connie knows everyone already thinks she is on the teams roster and it’s not even a question that the coaches want her on their team but Connie doesn’t care she’s going into this camp trying to prove she deserves a spot and she doesn’t want to just expect a spot because she went number one overall.

“Hey Vla.” Nick greeted as Alex walked into the room and sat down on the stall next to him.

“Nick.” Alex smiled nodding accepting Nick’s fist bump.

“Have you met Con yet?” Nick questioned, even with this being his first season with the team he still took the step to make sure the younger and newer players were settling in well.

“I haven’t.” Alex shook his head no and looked over at her, obviously he has seen photos and videos of her especially with her on the ice but seeing her up close she was stunning but her eyes, they were incredible with many different shades of green.

Alex shook his head clearing his throat noticing he was staring, “I’m Alex.” Alex smiled crookedly at her holding his hand out.

“Connie.” Connie softly introduced herself shaking his head softly.

Alex could only focus on how much smaller her hand was in his hand and knew he was screwed.

๑ – synopsis : luka is your best friend. he is probably, if not, the best fighter in the underworld you know too. however, as of late, it seems he's been getting a bit too distracted in the cage, causing for some.. less than sightly injuries that you normally patch up without a second thought. you can excuse it maybe once or twice, but almost every single time he's in a fight? you need to find out what's up with this blockhead yourself.

๑ – notes : tbh, luka hasn't really come out yet and it's kind of ironic that i'm posting this right after the 1.2 livestream soo.. ehe. however, i took one look at him in his drip marketing and i fell in love♡ btw, reader is kind of mean in this but it's just cuteness aggression or whatever :P

"hold still, idiot."

"ow! hey, i'm trying- why're you being so rough?!- oww!"

LUKA whined as you huffed in annoyance, pulling harshly at the gauze you were wrapping around his heavily bruised arm. "you weren't complaining when you let yourself get beat up in the cage, were you?"

the redhead beside you pouted, letting you tug his arm around as you skillfully wrapped up the area where he had been rammed into by an automaton spider, and your gaze quickly flits to the second wound he sustained - a deep gash in his side, caused by an automaton grizzly's blade.

"i didn't let them beat me up, i just.. y'know, got distracted." luka averted his gaze, sweat-dropping as he saw your irritated glower in the corner of his eye. "got distracted, you say?"

you cross your arms, raising a suspicious brow as you look him up and down. luka's fiery locks are disheveled, void of the hair tie that keeps it up. his bright cerulean eyes are now tinged with the slightest hint of embarrassment, and similar to his hair - his face is flushed bright red.

"uh.. yes..?" he almost questions, and you let out another exasperated sigh, lightly flicking his mechanical arm and earning a small thnk noise as you do. you continue to pepper small talk and scoldings as you return to the task at hand, reaching to your side to pluck the bottle of rubbing alcohol off the floor, applying a generous amount to a small cotton pad before starting to clean off the cut.

luka winces, but falls silent, and you can feel his gaze burning into the side of your head as you work. once his wound is clean, you press the gauze against the gash and get to work yet again, meticulously wrapping up the wound and making sure it's tight.

"so, tell me what you were distracted by." you start to speak, and his eyes widen, blinking almost dumbly. it'd be cute if you weren't annoyed with him right now - how many times this week has he gotten distracted in the middle of a fight?

"h-huh..? what do you mean?" he chuckles, still not meeting your eyes. his avoidance of confrontation somehow fuels your irritation, so you gently reach over to pinch his cheek, redirecting his gaze towards you.

"you heard me, luka," you lean in closer, studying his bandage adorned mien with a critical eye, and you swear his face seems to glow brighter at your proximity. "what distracted you this time?"

luka tries to pull his head away, but you only tighten your grip, and causes his face to scrunch up as you squish his (strangely smooth) cheeks. "o-oh, you know, the usual stuff.. the lights were pretty bright- t-the noise!-" "luka."

at your commanding tone, luka's eyes flicker to yours - once, twice - before his adam's apple bobs, and he clears his throat. then, his voice comes out as a hoarse whisper, akin to that of a man in a desert with no water. or, well, in his case, a man suffering from insanely fast heart palpitations. you sigh heavily at his bulging eyes and panicked expression. "luka, if you don't want to tell me-"

"you. i was distracted by you."

...

the silence that follows is thick enough to slice with a blade, and he's stopped trying to meet your now dumbfounded gaze. "it's stupid, i know," luka sighs after a moment, looking like a kicked puppy. "sorry for making this so awkwa- mph!-"

you stop his incessant rambling by squishing his cheeks slightly harder, and his lips twist as he gives you an incredulous look. "..you idiot.." you mutter, voice uncharacteristically gentle as your eyes soften at his expression.

"i'm sorry." luka pouts slightly, and you swear, nothing's holding you back anymore. the next moment, you've leaned even closer, and you've planted a small kiss on one of the bandages on his stupidly adorable face. luka's bright pink, but the sulk that had once adorned his face had now turned into the biggest, dumbest grin you've ever seen in your life.

"whatever," you roll your eyes, but luka can see the slight blush that tints your own cheeks, and the fact that you can't hide your own small smile either. "you know, if i was distracting you while you were in the cage, you could have told me. i would have stopped coming so you could focus."

now that gets luka's attention, because just like a switch was flipped, he's back to whining playfully, and his mechanical arm reaches over to grab your wrist. "and have my lucky charm miss out on me absolutely kicking ass in the ring? no way!"

you deadpan. he really has a way of confusing you - going from droopy puppy to a golden retriever in seconds. he notices your look, and his grin turns cheeky, nudging your side. "i never said being distracted by you was a bad thing. i would lose all my fights if it meant seeing your pretty face every second of the day."

you blink, a little stunned by his confession, but you shake it off with a sigh. well, it seems he was all patched up, and judging from his flirty comebacks, he was feeling well again.

"you seem better already. i guess i'll take my leave, then-" "not yet!"

luka's grip tightens on your wrist, and you wince as the metal digs into your skin. he notices, and quickly lets up a little. "you still haven't given me an answer." now this confuses you even more, and your brows furrow. "wha-"

luka cuts you off by pressing his own kiss to your cheek, and now it's your turn for your face to turn the color of his hair. you stare at each other, his eyes glinting with mischief whilst yours reflect utter confusion.

and then, luka gets a roll of bandages to the face.

"ouch! come on, (y/n)!"

"shut up, you moron."

and even as luka whines about how you've 'injured his heart,' and that 'you'll need to heal him again with more of your sweet kisses' - you can't fight back against the affectionate smile that spreads across your face.

luka pauses as he sees you, openly smiling at him instead of hiding your face, or glaring at him as he normally sees you doing. so, he matches your look, and leans in to gently nuzzle your cheek with his nose.

"see what i mean? you're way too pretty to not be a distraction."

introducing connie

Connie Willow Bedard was born July 17, 2005 to Tom and Melanie Bedard, she was the second born and the last kid her parents had. She has an older sister Madi.

Connie has been exceptional on the ice since her dad brought her onto the ice when she was barely one, she was in love with the ice and the feeling of gliding across the ice.

Connie had met her best friend Fraser Minten on one of her first hockey teams when she was really young and they played together until they both got drafted into the WHL and then started playing against each other.

She was the first ever player to get exceptional player status and joined the Western Hockey League a year earlier than everyone else, she joined the Regina Pats in 2020.

In 2022 she met Mason Mctavish when she joined Canada’s World Junior team and they became very close and act like siblings. Mason took her under his wing and became quite protective of his honorary sister.

Connie met Kevin Korchinski in the 2023 World Juniors and they hit it off pretty easily, Connie being more quiet and reserved and Kevin is more a ball of sunshine and very outgoing, they compliment each other well.

Connie was drafted to the Chicago Blackhawks first overall in the 2023 NHL Draft and the first ever Woman to be drafted in the NHL and she went first.

Connie met Alex during the training camp over the summer before her rookie season and they clicked surprisingly well and Alex seemed to have a natural protectiveness over Connie, getting in multiple fights over the season protecting her.

Connie felt like she could finally just be herself with Alex, she didn’t have to be Connie Bedard the Blackhawks first overall pick and the player that was gonna save the team. Alex was teaching her there was more to like them just Hockey.
