The Key to My Heart
We were writing sonnets in English class. So I decided to take advantage and write some Julistín. Agustín writing poetry to Julieta is something I can see and I wanted to explore it from his pov.
A sonnet from Agustín to Julieta.
Her eyes are dark, like the coffee she brews.
Those eyes so lovely and full of wonder.
Makes my whole heart leap and burst like thunder.
She knows how to get me out of my blues.
Her heart is vast and open to all love,
With love so deep for each of our daughters.
Her healing meals are no substitute for love,
As the love she provides never falters.
With total sacrifice she gives to all.
When my glasses fall, and my teal love comes,
My soul stops and beats like very loud drums.
She is always there to catch all my falls.
My silver threaded queen, Julieta,
Pass me one of your cheesy arepas.
Enjoy some poetry!! Maybe a response poem will surface from Julieta. Might make hers a sexy poem. 😈

julistín - got germs
got germs: [character A] and [character B] are sick.
burning up
"You're hot."
"Why, thank you! It's so nice to be finally appreciated–"
Julieta groaned. "No, Agustín, you're really hot," she mumbled, rolling onto her other side, distancing herself from him. "Hot and sweaty."
"I can say the same about you," he said after a while and sniffed loudly. "Hot, sweaty and grumpy, and at least one of these things is a bad thing."
"Ugh," Julieta buried her face into her pillow, the idea of kicking Agustín out of their bed tempting like never before. She probably would do it, only to get a few minutes of calmness, but her every muscle felt like she ran all around the Encanto the previous day, without any break, including climbing the mountains and crossing the river. She was sore.
Sore, hot and miserable, and she couldn't breathe properly because her nose was stuffy and she had to inhale and exhale through her mouth.
Agustín coughed behind her, shifting on their bed.
"I'm dead on my feet, Julieta."
"You're not even standing."
She could imagine the look he sent her, and it made her lips quirk for a second. But the tiniest small dropped quickly as another wave of heat overcame her and she kicked the sheets off her, desperate to cool down.
Her nightgown felt as uncomfortable as if she dived into the water and now the soaked material clung to her body in the most unpleasant way.
Julieta sat up and started unbuttoning her nightgown.
A bit of silence and–
"What are you doing?"
"Can't you tell? I'm undressing."
"Aw, amor, you can do so much better than this."
Julieta turned her head to look at him and sent him a glare. In his pitiful, miserable state, with his nose all red and his eyes glossy, he had the audacity to smile cheekily at her. Still staring at him in the most unimpressed way she could (at least she hoped she succeeded at that), she pulled her gown over her head and tossed it aside.
Agustín emitted a low hum and traced her thigh with his long fingers. Julieta swatted his hand away with a loud slap and he hissed in response, a pout appearing on his lips. "What was that for?"
"For being an unbearable, irreformable silly man."
"You knew perfectly well who you chose when you agreed to–" he sneezed suddenly, and sniffed immediately. "–to marry me."
Julieta shifted on their bed and collapsed onto the mattress with a long sigh. "And I do wonder sometimes why I did it."
"Now you're being cruel."
She tilted her head to the side while fanning her face with both hands. "Whose idea was it to go and dance in the rain?"
"Hey, you agreed to it!"
"But you suggested it! And now we're both sick!"
"You weren't complaining yesterday!"
"That's not the–" her nose tickled suddenly and before she could even cover her face, she sneezed.
Agustín burst out laughing which turned into coughing in a matter of a couple of seconds. "You sound like a tiny kitten," he cooed between coughs. "Like an adorable, small kitten. Aw, Juli!"
"I hate you," she murmured, inhaling deeply through her mouth.
He shifted closer to her, running his hand over her arm and stomach. "No, you don't."
"I do."
"You don't."
"I really do," she assured, looking at him seriously. He pouted again. She cracked a resigned smile. "Okay, I don't."
"Told you so," he smiled, bowing his head to kiss her forehead.
"Agustín," she whined. "Get away from me."
She was still hot and the closeness of his equally hot body didn't help at all. Julieta wished she could just dive into a bath full of cool water. Maybe it would make her less sticky, at least.
"You know..." he said slowly, tapping her nose with his index finger. "Since we're both down with a cold because of me, maybe we can heal thanks to me?"
"Oh? Since when you are the healer in this marriage?"
He wiggled his eyebrows at her. "Since now. Because I heard that there's a certain, rather pleasant way to–"
"No."
A pout.
Julieta rolled her eyes. "Nope, amor. Unless you want me to sneeze in your face beca–" she didn't even finish the sentence, sneezing again.
Agustín wiped his face with the back of his hand. "You know, a simple no would be enough."
Julieta smacked him on the stomach with the back of her left hand. "Pff, you were ready to kiss me a few seconds ago but me sneezing grosses you out? You're a silly man, just like I said."
"But I'm your silly man," he said in the most charming way.
Or at least it was intended this way because his red, runny nose and raspy voice didn't make him sound nor look charming at all.
She laughed, and coughed, and laughed again, pushing him away so that he landed on his back.
"We have about..." she looked at the clock and frowned. "About thirty minutes before people start looking for us and find us here, sick, miserable and barely alive. And I don't want our hijas to see us this way. I wish I could get healed with an area. Or a cup of chocolate santafereño..."
"My offer still stands..."
Julieta looked at him, blinked three times, and pushed herself up, wincing at the dull pain in her muscles. "I'm gonna take a cool shower."
There was another wiggle of his eyebrows. "Because you're hot?"
Julieta sighed defeated. "Because I am hot," she agreed, standing up. "And it's your fault so don't even try following me."
She took two steps–
"But I'm hot too!"
She shook her head. "Ay Agustín."
He was really insufferable at times.

When alma find out who was the guy that had done the hickeys (obviously Agustin since he's the only boyfriend she ever had), she cornered him and I don't have inspiration for what happened, but damn she was mad
I'm supposed to be studying but-
For the sake of julistín obvs
--------------------------------------------------
“Alma hurried down the streets of the Encanto, averting her age from one passage to another trying to spot that Tall guy, that was diving into her Daughter's dress ever so often- She clenched the pitch-black pongo closed with one fist, supporting herself onto the walls of the Casas with the other...
Her breaths came short, after managing to spot that specific young man,her heart reaching its highest pace. She let a curse roll off her tongue,as she practically chased a young Agustín between the rock made paths. ' How can he walk so fast? ' She thought out of frustration, only for an idea to pop in her mind-
She hummed in thought, quickly stepping onto a different path than the one planned. She shifted her steps through the dusty road, popping right in front of the racing man,who yelped in surprise
"Señora Madrigal-"
"Buenos Días,Niño. May I have a talk with you?"
Agustín nodded nervously,in repeat sweat dripping over his temples. Alma coughed in a manner to help herself regain her regal posture. Back straightening, inhales, eyes slowly flattering open-
"I saw you in a very intimate encounter with my daughter Young boy."
His view was all of a sudden accompanied by a very Angry Alma, a pointing finger came to proudly standing in front of his chin, his eyes staring carefully at the limp that almost threatened to take his life-
"I WANT no funny bussiness with my Julieta do you understand-"
"Yes Señ-"
Before he could make an agreement with the old matriarch, his speech ended with her immediate interruption.
"YOU are not allowed to speak in my presence!
Esto es para mi hija,so you must listen to me adolescente intrépido-"
The bee boy gulped, trying to ease the burning knot down his throat. He didn't know whether he should fear for his life or run off into the distance. Doña Alma was a person he respected but he never knew her research would evolve that deep...
"Julieta is not a young girl for you to play around or be exploited by some youngsters like you! You better find a good excuse to explain yourself because I can make sure you will never be able to see her again!"
Agustin released his stressful gesture, relaxing his grimace only to be tensed again
"Julieta is a perfectly, good mannered young woman, with a rather charming wit...IF I ever catch you staring at someone else OTHER-
Than her. You are dead and you don't even know it."
Alma grasped at his creme Camisa, tagging furiously the fabric, almost hissing at the last syllables, through her pearly white teeth. Agustín's swallow was definately heard louder than expected, making Alma smile and whisk her hands together as she finished her sentimental paragraph-
"Are we clear Señorito?"
" ¡S-Sí! "
Agustin frantically moved his head,a toothy awkward smile on its way throug. The older woman cleared her throat again, returning her formal posture as if nothing happened between the two. She opened her eyes, hands holding for a second time her pongo firmly,a genuine smile spreading through her face now-
"Have A great day hombre...joven.
I hope my words were a very friendly reminder. Greetings to your Familia-"
The woman in her mid 40s,nodded her head slightly, walking down the path towards the sun-showered squared,a few citizens' voices echoing in the distance as they greeted the Older adult. Agustin, was left dumb-founded,fixing his collar vigorously and rushing to his home.
How could he be so accidental...of course falling onto random accidents was his specialty but the poor boy made sure to find a very secluded place but special for the couple,he knew risking it publicly wasn't in Julieta's favor as much as he desired to teaser her under the risk of getting caught...
He grinned lightly at the thought of his time with Julieta, the way her skin glowed under the golden sun and how her Whiskey eyes sparkled in the shadows. Her pepper waves brushing over his neck-
"Ow-!"
His thoughts were suddenly paused, after a door slapped open onto his nose,he yelped in pain holding his nose, while the old lady mumbled a few apologies. By wrapping her hand around his arm he guided the young man over the healer's stall. At least his thoughts will be alleviated by seeing the God blessed image of his healing heroine...that would really southe the pain in his nose both ways.

Nightmares...
“Mira...Mirabel!”
Her eyes sprang open and she sat bolt upright in bed, chest heaving and unable to catch her breath, scanning the room and doing her best to make sense of her surroundings despite the tears in her eyes making it hard to see. It took seconds for it to dawn on her that she was still in her room, in bed with her husband next to her, and she pressed the heel of a shaking palm to her forehead with a groan.
For a decade now, since the night her little girl had missed out on getting to open her special door, she had been having these night-terrors. They had never been easy for her to deal with, she always woke drenched in sweat and feeling sick to her stomach, but they had taken on a much darker nature and only increased in frequency over the passing weeks. It appeared to be an every night occurrence.
Her husband had sat her down one morning, not too long ago, and they had had a long talk about what was going on. He had been so patient with her while she tried to put into words what happened in her night-terrors, never making her feel embarrassed, and when it had been his turn to speak he had pointed something out to her. Something that, for some reason, had never actually occurred to her.
“Do you think this might have something to do with the ceremony coming up?”
It had all made sense then.
For several weeks, all she had been thinking about was the ceremony for sweet Antonio. It had caused more work for her than usual and the kitchen had looked like it had been hit by a bomb, what with her planning what she would make for the guests at the ceremony while also cooking for the family and making food to take into town for those needing to be healed. It had worn her out, it really had.
Being so busy was probably the thing that kept her from acknowledging her fear.
It had been there in the back of her mind the whole time, the fear that the exact same thing that happened to Mirabel would happen to him and prove something was wrong with the miracle, but she had refused to confront it when she should have. Instead, she had made herself feel better by assuring herself that all would go back to normal once the ceremony was over and they were all able to relax.
She had been wrong.
Instead of returning to the party once she had sent Mira to bed following the talk they had, she decided to continue preparing things for tomorrow and it was one of the worst decisions she could have made. Her thoughts had gotten away with her and she had ended up losing track of time, leading to her standing there for hours until she had been all but marched upstairs by Agustín when he found her.
He had been less than pleased with her, but he had seemed to understand.
She should have expected no different from him, to be honest.
He was the most understanding man she had ever met.
“Not again, mi vida...” The feeling of his hand coming to rest on her shoulder and his rough voice in her ear snapped her from her thoughts, making her gasp, but her shoulders soon slumped again and she relaxed when he hushed her and sat up behind her to wrap her in his arms. She leaned back against him on instinct, sighing when she felt him press a kiss into her neck. “I hate seeing you like this.”
“Gus, I’m fine.” She shook her head.
“I have had the privilege of knowing you far too long to believe that.” He used his arms around her to snug her closer to him and she glanced over her shoulder at him, her eyes falling closed when he leaned in to brush his lips against her own. Her lips clung to his when he began to pull away a short while later, the love she had for him growing when her eyes opened again and she looked right into his.
“I worry this is never going to stop,” Her voice was no higher than a whisper, her hands coming to rest over his on her stomach as a lump came to her throat. “I...I thought they would get easier to deal with in time, but they seem to be doing the complete opposite and all I want is for it to stop. I want one night where all I do is sleep, but it has been years since I was last able to have that and I’m so tired...”
He sighed when a tear trickled down her cheek and took an arm from around her waist, using his hand to tuck a curl behind her ear before catching the tear on his thumb and brushing it from her skin. It was no wonder she was worn out. For ten years, she had been enduring this without a single complaint and he doubted he could even comprehend how hard it must have been for her. She was so strong.
“How about,” He caressed her face when she looked at him again, holding back tears. “I make you one of your herbal tea blends? I know you save them for the girls for...that time of the month...but I also know they work wonders for helping them relax enough that they can get some sleep on the nights their cramps are especially bad. It may work for you, it may not, but I think we should chance it.”
She nodded. “I think that sounds like a good idea. Gracias.”
“De nada,” He laid a hand on the back of her head and pressed his lips against her forehead in a tender kiss. “You get comfortable and I’ll be back in a minuto.”
She watched him pull back the quilt and climb out of bed then, following him with her eyes as he padded across the room for a nightshirt he could put on. “Gus?” She said when he began to make his way over to the bedroom door while doing the buttons up, smiling when he stopped walking and looked at her. “I love you.”
He gave her the look that never failed to set her heart racing. “I love you too.”
He made his way out of the room then and she clasped her hands together atop the covers, sinking back into her pillows with a sigh as she awaited his return.
---
In no time at all, near enough, he was making his way back into the room with a steaming cup of herbal tea in one hand and a blanket in the other and she sat up as he approached her. She thanked him when he handed the cup to her and let her thumb run around the rim as she blew some steam away, the aroma causing her to let out a hum before she took a sip and made herself comfortable again.
Her husband got back into bed beside her once he had made his way around to his own side again, the two of them sharing a smile when he put the blanket he had found around her and she cuddled up to him, allowing him to wrap her in his arms. “If you want to talk about it, we can talk about it, but if you want to just sit here together, that is fine too. Your choice, querido.” He murmured into her curls.
She stared into the golden liquid for a minute before looking him in the eye once again. “I think it had something to do with me telling Mira about Bruno earlier on. I was telling her about how he lost his way and how I never want something like that to happen to her, but that was what I dreamt about. She vanished. I turned my back on her for one minute and she was gone when I turned around again.”
He ran his hand along her arm through the blanket.
“I looked for her for days, we all did, but all any of us ever found of her was one of the mariposas that must have torn from her blouse. I know it was a dream, I know she would be there if I went to the nursery now and looked in on her, but I also know she feels like an outcast in this familia. Sometimes, I worry I’m going to wake up one morning and she’ll be nowhere to be found. Exactly like Bruno.”
“Our little girl is going nowhere, you have no need to worry.” He soothed.
She shook her head. “You are certain of that no more than I am. She only needs to be pushed a bit too far, to have the wrong thing said to her, and she could go.”
Moving closer to her on the bed, he laid his spare hand on her knee through the covers and pecked her cheek. “I think talking like this is going to do little to help with your nightmares. I know the thought of her leaving scares you. It scares me too, but why worry about something that hasn’t happened and may never will? I think we should try to keep a closer eye on her and then we’ll see any changes.”
She hummed in response and took another sip of tea before reaching to set the cup down on her bedside table, her arm draping across his stomach as she laid down and let her head come to rest on his chest. Her eyes fell closed and a soft smile crossed her lips when she felt him bury his lips in her curls, his hand lightly rubbing her back as he used his other hand to draw the quilt further up over her.
“Get some sleep, hermosa,” He hummed. “I’ll be here to keep them away.”
“Promesa?” She murmured, the pull of slumber already drawing her in.
“Te prometo,” He echoed. “Siempre...”

Headcanons for Julíeta and Agustín Madrigal
I have these headcanons for Julíeta and Agustín that have been in my head for a while now so I am going to share them. This will contain both canon, headcanon, and modern AU ideas as well as Live action ideas. Enjoy ♡
A young Julíeta (15) was at her stand like she is every morning giving the villagers in town food to heal their injuries as she was finishing up she gets approached by a young Agustín (14) who is covered in bee stings. Julíeta gives him her last arepa to help him heal.
Julíeta and Agustín begin to spend more time with each other when she is done healing people. Agustín does his best not to get hurt when he is spending time with her so she doesn't have to heal him. The two get to know each other more they end up loosing track of time and he walks her back to the casita and they say they will see each other the next day.
16-year-old Julíeta starts seeing a boy named Sebastián Díaz and Agustín is a little jealous and starts spending his time with his friend's friend Mía González who soon developed a one-sided crush on him. When Julíeta sees them she becomes jealous but acts civil when she sees them in town but when she gets home she wants to hit something but she says nothing because Alma set her up with Sebastián but Pepa and Bruno can see how upset she is and try to talk to her but she says she is "fine" but she is not at all
Julíeta now 21 is getting ready for her engagement dinner per her mother's request meanwhile as Pepa helps her Bruno goes to find Agustín to tell him that Julíeta is unhappy and for him to come to see her. A few hours later Bruno comes home with Agustín and Pepa tells Julí she should go to the balcony which makes Julíeta confused but nods then sees a 20-year-old Agustín below. Pepa and Bruno let the two talks as they distract their mother who was about to walk out of the casita. A few minutes later Julíeta comes down and tells Alma she can't go through with the engagement because she fell in love with Agustín who her mother refers to as the boy who keeps getting hurt. Julíeta was a good daughter but she was in love with Agustín and she was not going to let anyone get in the way of her happiness.
At 24 she married Agustín who was 23. The two were finally happy to be together the next to follow was Pepa and Félix to tie the knot and the road for them was as equally complicated but that is for a different post.
August 7th was when the birth of their first child a daughter named Isabela was born to follow was her prima Dolores who was born on August 31st to Pepa and Félix. Her younger sister Luisa was born on November 14th the following to be born on March 6th is the youngest on Julíeta's side is Mírabel who was born after her primo Camilo who was born on December 28th and the last to be born to Pepa's side is Antonio on May 21st.
Julíeta's friends María Duran and Jimena Valentina often question why she feels for a clumsy and accident-prone man (as well as Alma who didn't approve at first but slowly warmed up to him as long as he kept his daughter happy she is happy to have him in the family.)
Sometime later Agustín started working as an agent for the NCIS he started working with a female partner named Jessica Nightingale. Which made Julíeta a little jealous again but Agustín reassured her that it was only for work and he only loves her. (I had put an NCIS reference in here because of Wilmer Valderrama.)

Here's the first part of the follow up to "A Love Story in Three Acts"
Enjoy!!
@sophiasi1172 I hope you don't mind me using part of your comment in the summary for the fic! (I haven't posted the summary yet, but you'll see it!😊)
---------------------------------------------------
Julieta should've known.
She should've known that something like this would happen, to her of all people.
It was just her luck.
She'd been woken up by her husband, when he unwrapped his arms from around her, both of them still wrapped up in their post-coital bliss. When he saw her start to stir, Agustín brushed her hair out of her face, and whispered for her to go back to sleep; he'd be taking both the girls out to the river today. As if reading her mind, he told her they'd bring provisions if any of them (him) happened to get hurt, or stung by bees (also him).
Her only response was a tired "Hmm." before she fell back into a deep sleep. She barely even registered the door shutting with a soft click.
---------------------------------------------------
Agustín walked into the kitchen with a saunter in his step. Last night was… incredible. He didn't even know Julieta could do that. He didn't know any woman could do that. He had initially been concerned about how rough he was with his wife, but with her reassurance and seeing just how worked up she was, he went with it. And oh boy, was it worth it. Agustín didn't think he'd ever made his wife scream like that. Leave it to him, the most oblivious man on the planet, to unknowingly push his wife to the edge for literal hours. Thank god for Casita, and their soundproof walls…
Or so he thought…
Upon walking into the kitchen, he saw all of the adults, and Dolores look at him in various degrees of amusement (Pepa and Félix), embarrassment (Alma and Bruno), and confusion (Dolores). Agustín was confused as well, until Félix threw his arm around his brother-in-law and said, "Ay! Cuñado! Have fun last night? It sure sounded like you did!"
Agustín sputtered, "W-what?! You heard us?!"
Félix let out a bellowing laugh. "Of course we heard you! Casita isn't that soundproof!"
A pause.
Pepa's snickering turned to full-on cackling. "Wait, you really thought no one could hear you?"
Pepa was about to say more, but Alma held up her hand, interrupting her. "Now Pepa, I know you want to tease your cuñado, but please, keep your voice down. Your sister needs her rest, especially after the…events of last night."
"And you," she turned to Agustín. "I don't think I need to say this again. I don't need to know what goes on in your marriage bed. That is between you and your wife. None of us need to hear that again. Ever. Are we clear?"
Agustín turned fifty shades of red.
"S-si, Señora."
Bruno still wouldn't look at any of them.
And Agustín…
Well Agustín just wanted Casita to swallow him whole, right then and there.

Natalia's (aka Julistín oopsie 4th baby's) gifts
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Natalia is from the fanfiction called something unexpected by @wikluk ao3. Go read it. I decide to redesign Natalia to look more like Agustín than Julieta but i kept her clothes from my previous design of her that i made months ago. These powers are just sugestions and whatever gift little Natalia will get, is up to the author. i just like to imagine diffrent scenarios. So without any further ado, heres some of Natalia's gift ideas. I have alot of fun making these and i hope you like it.
1. Telekinesis.
Natalia's eyes would glow when using her gift (similar to Bruno but blue) as well as the object she's moving. I feel like if Natalia has telekinesis she would be close to Pepa since both gifts are control via strong emotions. Her powers are like Matilda from Matilda, Raven from Teen Titans and Carrie from Carrie but the way it works is similar to Eleven from Stranger Things (minus the blood). There are weight and time limits to what she can carry with her mind, she can get physically and emotionally drained from using it to much and she can't carry everything especially if it's heavy (she has telekinesis, not super strength). I also think she will be close to Agustín since she would often catch him with her gift everytime he trips.
2. Hydrokinesis.
Basically water bending from Avatar the Last Airbender. If Natalia have this gift her chores would be rerouting the river and watering the crops and various plants, making her close with her 2 older sisters Isabela and Luisa.
3. Empath.
This one is intresting. The way this gift works is that Natalia is able to feel other people's emotion by simply looking at them. If she have this gift she would be close with Dolores since according to superpower.wiki , people with this ability are prone to sensory overload especially if there are to many people near by therefore, she will absorb too many diffrent emotions all at once making her dislike large crowds. She will also be close to Julieta since i believe with this gift, Natalia is able to help heal people emotionally. She's pretty much a therapist at age 5. Her eyes will change colors depending on what emotion the people she sensing. Yellow is happy, dark blue is sad, red is angry, purple is fear and many more.
4. Portal Creation.
She can make portals. All around the Encanto. Though i felt her portal creation won't extend beyond the mountains of Encanto and if it does, her family will ban her from making portals going outside of the mountains.
5. Photokinesis
Light manipulation. Natalia can create balls of light and can move around as well as turning it on and off. After she got this gift, one of her chore would be lighting up the street lamps around the Encanto with her balls of light at dusk and extinguish them by dawn. Similar to a lamplighter, a now extinct profession that used to be very common in the 19th century.
6. Invisibility.
She can turn herself as well as anything she touches invisable. Would probably be close to Camilo if Natalia have this gift. They (and with Mirabel tagging along) would be absolute prank gods.
7. Super speed.
She can run fast. Similar to her portal powers, her family will not allow her to go beyond the mountains.
