In your version in this AU: how would used team CRDL more in this story?

I read the volume one part about jnpr so far: other then that any other interaction between the other teams or focus on the team?

I have thought about it. And hopefully my thoughts are coherent enough.

I think they'd slowly integrate into the jnpr/rwby friend group. My ideal scenario for doing this would include an additional volume within Beacon. In general I'd like an additional Beacon Volume, so any notes I make are made with that in mind. This is also a hefty one so under the cut:

To start Volume 1 Jaune managed to convince JNPR to have lunch with them and I feel like at this point Pyrrha has a soft enough spot for Jaune that she's willing to strong arm Cardin into making his team agree. It's awkward, Ren and Dove are the only two with a pretty good dynamic due to them and Blake having a study group. But any one else on team CRDL who speaks to Ren is met with a cold shoulder and simple answers, Nora hates whoever Ren does because she's ride or die, Pyrrha simply doesn't find them interesting enough to care about, and Jaune is trying desperately to bridge a gap.

Their real bonding comes from finding out that apparently team RWBY got involved with getting a lead on who has been robbing dust shops. This is the moment where both JNPR and CRDL are bitter that some random new guy and a weird girl got in on the chaos but they were left out entirely.

During the dance instead of asking Ren for advice courting Weiss, he's trying to figure out how to ask Pyrrha on a friend date to the dance (unaware of his own feelings and ream CRDL gets group messaged about helping out. Cardin and Russel show up because they have nothing to do. So Ren who can't really stand most of the group, Nora who hates whoever Ren does, and half of team CRDL are stuck in a dorm room together trying to help Jaune. We run into the problem where not a single person in this group knows how to ask out women.

For Cardin's general Beacon arc it's him learning to manage his pride and unwillingness to take criticism. He's team leader and the expectation from him is that they respect him enough to do what he says. Being a team player in general is his weakness so to combat this we get Ruby deciding to start making weekly team leader meetings to check in on how everyone is doing and open a space for advice and help. First few don't go great, Pyrrha (leader in this version) spends a fair amount of time hitting Cardin with a smile that could kill, and Cardin pretends to be unbothered despite being terrified of her. He's the reasons the meetings end when they do because he'll find a reason to storm off in a huff.

The main instigator for his change will be the group outings everyone goes on during volume 2. CRDL isn't exactly a well oiled team at this point and this outing proves that with things going south and Sky gets hurt. Realizing he's been pretty bad at acting as leader Cardin starts trying to listen more and direct his team in a way that they can understand his intentions.

Study groups with Dove, Ren, and Blake lead to one of the only non-rwby centric friendships Blake has before the fall of Beacon. Through these conversations with each other we begin to see how well all of them know their teams and they themselves realize how important their teams are to them even if they are more closed off. Dove also I think has a pretty deep respect and admiration for Pyrrha that he doesn't talk about since he's more militaristic. I do also like the idea of him being very focused on the dust robberies around town, tracking any spikes. He himself won't investigate, it's against the rules, but his data does help team RWBY.

Sky and Yang I think actually don't like each other. At least not at first, Sky's opinion is what his team does is none of his business they just got stuck together. Yang thinks a team's connection is super important. They end up working on the dance with Weiss and a bunch of other students and this work is what ends up altering the dynamics to something more positive. Out of the group him and Russel don't get along at first on account of him enjoying to have flare when he fights, that and him not having as much history in proper Grimm combat as the rest of his team means he's a bit of a coward and has to grow from that. He is not very keen on following orders and his lack of respect for Cardin as his leader is part of how he gets hurt on the outing. A bit of a teachable moment for him to even if he's annoyed having to learn from it.

And Russel I personally view as the youngest of CRDL and the one who is closest to Cardin. During the landing practice he and Cardin get partnered and he's not quick to trust people but bonds with Cardin pretty fast since Cardin proves himself to be capable and very skilled in combat. Something Russel has respect for as survival is his life. Cardin's original disdain for Jaune's weakness was another thing Russel would've approved of leading him to join in tormenting Jaune. That said he's also mostly bark no bite so when he's without Cardin I see him mostly glaring and quiet. JNPR and RWBY both find him pretty chill on his own.

These would be the overarching narratives I'd give them mixed in with interactions with other teams. I'd love to set up matches and characters prior to the tournament fight so once we get in there we're excited for where things go. A few extra fights with CRDL as a team also can show us how they got to the doubles round in the tournament.

Largely I want to make sure by the fall of Beacon we know that Cardin is a leader who cares about his team and knows how to lead them even if he still has room to grow. Team CRDL and every team caring about each other is what matters. During the fall CRDL would be the group helping get civilians to safety and combating Grimm. They wouldn't be cowards but they would get separated.

When all is said and done, like Weiss, Cardin's family comes to collect him. With beacon falling they expect him to focus on being the company heir. And out of everyone, Russel isn't counted for. For six months Cardin has no clue how anyone at Beacon is, not beyond what the news shows. His team potientially scattered to the winds and he has no clue where they are and in that time he doesn't even know if his friend is dead or not. Dove is probably in Atlas if he came home is all Cardin knows.

He and Weiss see each other at the party her father throws and he looks rough. Lost weight. Not sleeping. He's pretty much stopped fighting because he feels like a complete failure. Weiss heads off. He doesn't. We don't see him again until the group makes it back to Atlas.

Dove did return to Atlas. And he as well isn't seen until the group makes it to Atlas, he's followed in his families footsteps and requested to be trained by the military, transferring into the school. He doesn't have a team and it makes things difficult but with the state of the world, Ironwood seems the type to welcome more trained hunters. No one would turn away the best fighter on CRDL. Ren and Blake are the most happy to see him, they were pretty close after all.

He is content following whatever orders are given because he was there when Beacon fell and knows the risk. He wouldn't be aware of Salem, however. He's not part of the inner circle. But his skills had him working towards Ironwoods good graces. His friendship with the teams means he's ultimately one of the first to agree to help them and go against Ironwood's wishes. He'd start assisting people in the lower city when things go south and be on standby with Robyn's group to start the evacuation. During this evacuation is when him and Cardin see each other for the first time, and its not exactly a reunion they can stay in, but there is clear happiness.

Sky would be from around Vacuo so he doesn't reappear until that arc. Without knowledge of what happens I can't say for sure but in his down time I think he's taken to hanging out with team SSSN and CVFY as well as any other Beacon groups who made it there.

And I'd also probably plan for Russel to be there as well, with the grim situation in Vale getting worse Sky offers him the chance to go to Vacuo with him, recuperate from injuries during the battle that very nearly killed him, and find hopefully some safety even for a bit. His former mountain town likely being one of the first things abandoned/wiped away during the new grimm incursion.

My hope for Volume 10 is some focus on SSSN and CFVY so a CRDL proper reunion at this point with team RWBY (and JNR if Nora replaces Weiss in volume 9) would allow for secondary teams to get more proper attention.

There are potientially things I'd alter if I were to properly script things but this is the general plot progression ideas I had rattling around recently.

Addiction issues - not only does Roy have past entanglements with addictions which leads him to live a clean life. He had developed a critical eye for intentions, as a trusted friend was the cause to his addiction. Now, Roy analyses everything for deeper motivations. That’s just the result of the trauma and it’s a the reality in which you had accept. Whilst it can be insulting and exhausting to be under the microscope, you always speak your mind freely and bluntly.

Relationship dynamic of being in a team - it’s a struggle for Roy to build trust in others due to his past experiences. He has trouble letting people in, but once your in, you most certainly not getting out. You appreciate the value in which Roy holds you and makes you feel extra safe and comfortable knowing that Roy, no matter what, will always be there for you.

Responsibility as a hero - Roy has had to endure the heavy burden of protecting society as nothing more than a well trained human. Society is never short of criticism and Roy is hard on himself enough as it is. This can lead to feeling emotionally and physically strained. Roy cannot handle the criticism of his short comings when it comes to his romantic entanglements too.

When first joining the squad... it took a while for Meta Knight to understand social cues or to figure out when people were joking. An important thing to note, this was before Meta Knight officially became leader of the squadron and was just currently supervising them for now.

He was still getting used to the squadron. This convo just seemed so in character with the dynamic I had to include so this comic. I'm still learning to draw the rest of them but this is it for now.

I've already introduced Perry and Avery; now it's time to introduce three others...

Sir Gregory: He's basically a fallen knight of a noble family... His father refused the cruel management of the nobleman he served. As the result, they were shamed and they could no longer work.

Gregory joined the war in hopes of restoring his family's honor. He speaks in this formal old English (that he's trying to get rid of) but tends to slip from time to time.

He has a thing for Avery, but she hasn't noticed yet... but she'd definitely be interested if she knew. ;3

Lady Marleen: Team Medic and basically the sweetheart of the group... known for healing magic and a vital asset of the group.

She originally worked in a clinic on her planet, but it was destroyed and joined the GSA as a result.

Lowkey is also the team therapist and generally has the most calming presence in the group... Meta Knight got the cape wrap-around thing from her. (That was always the coping mechanism she taught MK to calm him, down he still uses it....)

Sir Bishop: He's basically the team mechanic and was the go-to person if they ever needed to hot-wire a ship. He was working in a junkyard digging for scrap metal to make into weapons & ships to sell...

His brother was arrested by the GSA (for stealing equipment ) and volunteered to work in the army as collateral to replace the things his brother stole & to get him out quicker.

I'm trying to learn how to draw the rest of the gang... more on them soon! Stay tuned! (I'm giving so much characterization on characters that I know are going to die...) :')

Heads up that this HEAVILY unhinges off of my au/hcs so uhuh! I'm not entirely sure how much of this lines up with the current fanon interpretations since admittedly I hardly interact with the fandom outside of my own stuff 😭😭 gotta change that theres so many talented artists and writers

Getting the big nasty out of the way, Zalgo! Technically connected to everyone! I talk more in depth about him, you can find that post in the creepypasta Masterlist! Might be the first one.. but run down is that hes a weird force/piece of nature/way of the universe and is responsible for the creation of monster characters as well as the means for human characters becoming something else (ex. EJ becoming a monster, Ben coming back from the dead). Human characters that remain human can sometimes become what they did (a killer or otherwise a figurative monster) after coming into contact with zalgo, usually unknowingly or indirectly..

He is quite literally their maker more or less, sent out to cause problems in the world

I would assume many different characters would have different thoughts and relationships with Zalgo, even if they can't directly make contact with him. Zalgo bounces between being tangible and not

Eyeless Jack, for example, doesnt know who or what Zalgo is and the name doesnt ring a bell; having been corrupted through a creation of zalgo rather than zalgo itself. Slenderman on the other hand actively resents zalgo for giving him sentience and a human-like conscious.

Jeff and Ben are best friends, it'd be criminal for them to be otherwise. My take on ben is that hes confined to electronics majority of the time. Jeff Carries him around in a phone, or maybe a DS.. I keep switching between both.. maybe originally a DS but made the switch. Jeff met Ben not long after he mvrdered his and Jane's families. Though there is now a rift in their friendship, mostly due to Jeff still being human and is now a grown adult, they still care deeply about each other. More like a sibling bond as Jeff got older

Bringing up Masky and Hoodie! I tried blending them, eith the crp version and their mh source since I love both versions. They lean more towards the crp take, though, given that's what I grew up with.. finding a balance is a bit hard... moving on, they aren't that close actually. Sure they are still proxies in this au, hence the more crp leaning comment, but they aren't.. friends. They hardly tolerate each other in most scenarios, actually. On the flip side, Tim and Brian still exist and have their own lives, whether or not they're fully aware of the fact they're being sort of puppeteered by outside forces is up in the air.. they're still fairly close in contrast to masky and hoodie!

Staying true with the older fandom, tiby and masky antaogize each other. Usually its toby getting onto masky, though. Hoodie and toby have a rather decent relationship, oddly enough. They aren't buddy buddy, but they are civil with each other. Could be that hoodie is no bullshit + doesnt give toby a reaction when he DOES do something to him

Jane and Jeff still hate each other, with Jane actively trying to hunt Jeff down and get revenge for everything. Jane is the only character (with the exception of tim and brian) who has a job and still interacts with society. I had an idea that she and laughing jill team up (to parallel jeff and Ben's dynamic).. though I might scrap that or swap jill out with someone else.. shrugs

Then theres nina! I hc that her and eyeless jack are close friends. No reason behind that other than "their energies contrast each other. Ej is tired and reserved, nina is energetic and gossipy/chatty" and their visual aesthetics contrasting (dark and mostly grey against bright and multicolored).. though I'm still trying to find a way how they'd meet in universe

Nina is also friends with jeff and has a sibling like bond with ben as well. I think she'd still have her crush on jeff, although I'm bouncing between it being faded or just as strong as it was before.. I mentioned I kind of want them to have a tiffany/chucky dynamic but I need to rewatch the child's play movies to get the dynamic for nina and Jeff right 😭😭

Ooooooohhoho still on the nina thought train but her and Jane would have so much beef. Jane hates nina with her entire being for being so buddy buddy with jeff.. whereas nina just treats their rivalry like it's some high school drama, totally unserious

from now that we don't talk: 1 ! y'all, i'd never imagined writing so in-depth from will's pov (i'm definitely more of a mike kinda gal, i mean... it's kinda concerning tbh) but lo and behold: this absolute monstrosity of an excerpt! i couldn't figure out which part to post without taking away too much context so... i decided to post the whole thing. anyway. this is about 1/10th of chapter 1.

When Will first moved to California, it had taken him two months to fully unpack his boxes. And he knew why. He didn’t want to be there. He’d left a part of himself behind in Hawkins— a part that grieved him in reciprocal. He’d seen the expression on his best friend’s face through the passenger side mirror as he stood with his bike in front of the old house; he looked lost, confused, and hurt. Will could definitely relate. Being uprooted from the only place he’d ever known and dropped into an unfamiliar, blistering hot, suburban town in California didn’t provide him with much motivation to unpack. Unpacking, to Will, meant the Byers’ big move became real. Unpacking, to Will, meant that it was permanent. Unpacking, to Will, meant that he’d eventually have to start his new life, at a new school— high school— without his best friend by his side. Well, on the other hand, at least he and Mike could still talk over the phone.

Will could not have been more wrong. Mike did not make a single call to Will for the entire seven months that he and his family were in Lenora. Mike did not send a single letter, either. And El was too busy building a shoebox shrine for Mike to realize that her brother was practically falling apart because of their thriving relationship. So Will started unpacking, each box representing a call and letter El received instead of Will. His clothes were put on hangers in the closet, and his art supplies finally found a place next to his bedroom window. And all of Mike’s writing was shoved away into the darkest depths of his lowest desk drawer, never to see the light of day again. Yeah, it was petty, but Will was angry. He deserved to be angry, damnit. He was angry at Mike for abandoning him, and he was angry at himself for being delusional enough to believe Mike cared that much about their friendship.

His mood hadn’t changed much when they’d initially arrived back in Hawkins. He watched from afar as Mike continued to pursue El, who had clearly resigned from their relationship the second Mike referred to her as a superhero following the incident at Rink-o-Mania. About a month into the Vecnapocalypse, Mike had told Will that he’d finally broken up with El. Will was secretly elated; the torture fest was finally over. But when Mike revealed the reason why they’d broken up, which was the very painting that Will had used as a device to try and clear the air between Mike and his sister, his back-breaking efforts seemed to be all for nothing. They had a little argument-turned-heart-to-heart about it, but they hugged it out in the end like best friends do. And things were fine. They were a team again, and that’s what mattered most.

The dynamic between Will and Mike had changed, though, throughout the course of the Vecnapocalypse. They’d gone from being virtually radio silent to… whatever the situation was. They’d flirt, hold hands, listen to each other’s mixtapes, and partnered up together during missions. This continued on for a while until one particular moment in the Upside Down, when Mike had leaned in a bit too close and Will was just about to lean in as well, giving into the deepest desire he’d ever had in his life: kissing Mike square on the mouth. In typical Mike fashion, ever the dramatic, he’d jumped backwards, stumbled outside, tripped over a gigantic vine, and triggered a shit ton of Demobats to swarm the Upside Down version of the Wheeler house. After that shit show, Will couldn’t help but be a little bit bitter towards Mike. That side-battle could have cost them everything. Vecna could have won. And on top of all that, Will was tired of being led on by Mike and all of his contradictions, so Will kept Mike at a distance from there on out. They never brought up the Almost-Kiss ever again. Once he’d moved back to Hawkins for good, unpacking went fairly quickly.

Things got even stranger when a few years had gone by, and the Party had made it out of high school in one piece. Then Will found the letters. When he’d confronted Mike about them, he was pinned against the wall and kissed as if it were something Will should have been expecting that entire time. Which, first of all, he had no fucking idea, and two, he’d just been going along with all the flirting because he’d assumed Mike was merely using him for practice for when they’d inevitably go off to college and find real significant others. But Mike had made his stance on their relationship crystal fucking clear, leaving Will feeling breathless, thoroughly kissed, and blindsided.

There was no way Will could have fathomed that this was how his time in Hawkins was going to close out. He’d been looking forward to the time in his life where everything could just be normal for once; he’d been on a decent roll for the past two years. But Mike just had to go and drop the bomb on Will that he wanted the two of them to spend the rest of their lives together, and that threw Will for a goddamn loop, because in what world– in what universe– was Mike Wheeler loving Will Byers even remotely viable? Had the Upside Down come back again? Was Will trapped in a nightmarish torture chamber, with Mike as the subject of said nightmare? He’d believe it, honestly; when he mentally added up the Vecnapocalypse period of their relationship (including the almost-kiss), the endless mixed signals afterwards, senior prom, the letters, the reality that Mike probably would have just let Will leave without admitting his stupid, dumb, impossible feelings or letting Will know about all of those love letters he’d written over the past few years, it made sense. By the time Will escaped the Wheeler house that humid August evening with tears following the semi-permanent track marks that stained down his face due to crying for literal years back to back, Will knew for sure and certain that he couldn’t spend one more week in Hawkins, Indiana. He was done.

He’d been pretty damn quick about escaping Hawkins to begin with, but the urgency to get away from Mike only accelerated it. He’d spent the rest of the summer avoiding Mike at all costs; he’d been working at Melvald’s with his mom all summer, but started picking up extra hours under the guise of wanting to save as much money as he could for his new car– which he’d already had more than enough money for, but still. Time spent at work was time spent away from Mike. Joyce certainly didn’t complain; she loved having Will around, and savored every moment she could with her Baby Boy before he moved to the Windy City.

Will realized, as he sat on his mattress amongst heaps of boxes scattered across the floor of his dorm at the American Academy of Art, that anger seemed to fuel his unpacking process. It ignited the flame of desire for transition and change in his life. And oh, after the summer he’d just had, did Will desperately need a change. This particular change, Will decided, would be good for him. He was out of Hawkins, at his dream school, about to begin studying the subject that he loved most in the entire world, and Michael Wheeler wasn’t around anymore to throw him off. Will grabbed a marker out of his pencil case and marked off the date: Sunday, August 20th, 1989. This was going to be a good, drama-less, normal year. Will could feel it.

So a clip for episode for came out and final some talk about oz and Oscar situation but I'm still kind of upset nobody in the show has asked Oscar or Oz about it or how their marriage is going like if team Ruby can acknowledge this and tell it to someone else trying to explain things to them why is it that nobody can have a direct conversation with Oscar about it 😒

But I am glad that curious cat does mention that it isn't that helpful of a way to reincarnate like the smart thing even though it sucks we wouldn't have gotten to know Oscar as a character is to just have the person fully take over that other person's life

when they reincarnate or like with the maidens and how the maidens power and muscle memory transfer is instant from the next maiden once they get the powers but they don't get that maiden's memories cuz their version of getting the maiden Powers is a watered-down version of Oz's curse

Don't get me wrong I love the dynamic between Oscar and Oz but their situation truly is unfair and I was really hoping when they were in Atlas that they was maybe somehow figure out to separate them I don't think they would just completely have Oscar out of the show I think they would have maybe less him with team jnr so he could still grow as a character and help the other fight and maybe be the voice of reason for ozpin to get him the cooperate with others, and get the others to cooperate with him again kind of like he did in

do u like the new event!! w satan and diavolo... i was initially like "ugh another event so soon". but its cool that its focused on 2 characters instead of spreading the whole thing out for like 12!!

The screensaver has hit the corner, I HAVE THOUGHTS! But in short, I really like this new format, and hope it continues.

I agree with you, it's good that they are finally focusing on fewer characters, and I especially like that it's 2. Not only did we get more time with each of the 2, we get to see their dynamic as well! To me it's more interesting to see how 2 characters flow together rather than a group. And, I don't know, maybe I'm being forgetful or not far enough into the main story (Lesson 41) yet, but I don't remember we ever got so much SUBSTANCE of Diavolo and Satan's chemistry before. And nothing better than the brothers turning insufferable again to demonstrate.

It is also inteesting to get a little peek at the general feeling towards the brothers at RAD. At least a few of them are popular in a positive way. Beel is the captain of his sports team and presumably would have a few fans at least. Asmo should also be quite famous as an influencer. Yet the HOL pinpoints right away that, of them, it will be Satan and Lucifer who people at RAD feel more grateful towards.

I forget how self serving Beel can also be.

I wonder if it's proof of Diavolo's disconnect from the rest that he didn't figure out this would turn into another free for all. He seems to have a very idealistic image of everyone 🤔 he does step up to try to solve the issues though, becoming a competitor to Satan.

Then... MC becomes the key to win, and I think that's when things get even more interesting!

Anyways, to me the most gratifying interesting part is when Satan gets mad on MC's behalf.

He even turns into his demon form, and his speech changes, becoming more distant and biblical sounding maybe? Don't quote me on that...

Lucifer trusting Diavolo to handle his brother's wrath was also a nice bit of lore.

And I can't post any more images but the way Diavolo handled it peaked my interest. He never talked down to Satan or brought up his own status. He just reasoned with him. Kind of felt like baby talk but maybe that's the only way to reason with Satan when he's so enraged. l

At one point I though maybe the winner and focus of the golden path would depend on who MC says they think will win on the 1st half of the event. That would've been fun. But I liked the real resolution still. As disconnected as Diavolo can be, it seems Satan's outburst really made him see how negatively others could be affected. It was clever to give all of his stars to MC. I don't doubt that he wanted to, but it was also the most peaceful way to resolve the manner, with least likelihood for hard feelings afterwards. Diplomatic, even.

Satan spiraling in his room after his outburst was also a nice reminder that he can really disappoint himself this way.

"I think you are about the only person who worries about me. That being said, your worry is misplaced. Leave me alone."

"No good could possibly come out of being with me."

He's really down in the dumps about it, and I bet a reminder that an outburst could hurt MC crossed his mind.

The rest of this part is just pure fluff, very wholesome very sweet, looking into MC's eyes fills Satan with bliss and seems to wash away his rage, 10/10.

Now, Diavolo's part intrigued me.

This part is kind of hard for me to fully understand. But what I get is; he respects Satan's anger. He probably didn't even think it was wrong to get mad, just that destroying RAD would be counterproductive to his goals and everyone's happiness.

Over all yeah I enjoyed this event! I hope the following ones are just as interesting. This one helped me see Diavolo in a new light and now I appreciate him a little more as a character, since I'm not usually fond of him.

NO LITERALLY i figured out i was nonbinary and just slowly got into more furry stuff. trans to furry pipeline REAL!!!!

For me? Honestly? I've liked furry stuff since high school.

Part of me openly sharing and exploring that interest and engaging with the community/fandom now I think is related to a wider comfort/acceptance of my truest self, which obviously involves my transness.

It took until this time last year to finally accept that I am a woman. I had been slowly pushing myself there between identifying as nonbinary and socially/medically transitioning, but it still took me that long to get all the way there.

There's a lot of shame and embarrassment I've had to work through. Heck, even publicly talking about the music I've always loved didn't happen until my mid 20s. My life has predominantly been about making as few waves as possible. The logic: if I hide my likes, desires, and self from everyone and just try my best to do what I'm told, I won't be ridiculed or shamed for it.

I had a father who really really wanted me to be like him and he made me suffer when I wasn't like him. And I was never gonna be like him. I had a mom who wanted me to heal the generational wounds caused by the men in my family, particularly my father. That's a lot of pressure to put on a child, let alone one who's actually a little girl (I have a better relationship with her now and she is fully accepting of my womanhood). Hell I went to an all boys high school where fitting in and avoiding abuse meant muting almost every aspect of myself to fit into a masculine social dynamic. AND THEN I was in a college program that functioned as a cult where any deviance from the team values meant ostracization and expulsion (which happened to me after they almost killed me). It takes a long time to get out of that shame. But I got there.

So yeah, silly Cat Lux pictures and paws and eventually a fursuit and funny animal people seems just like a silly thing, but talking about it and sharing that joy and not being embarrassed is indicative of a lot of growth.

Because if I can own the stuff I like that's weird or on the fringes or cringe or whatever, then I've come quite a long way. I used to have panic attacks when people would ask me what food I liked. Part of why YouTube was such a good medium for me is that I could curate what I shared with the public only up to what I was comfortable with. So yeah. I'm a lesbian and a woman and also a goddamn furry! Fuck you! I'm here to enjoy life and have a little fun and whimsy on top of all the other stuff I like to do.

Don't ask why I wrote this (thoughts on the latest Ear biscuit)

It's been a good while since I've written down my thoughts on an Ear biscuit episode. I can tell you, there are probably dozens of unfinished drafts saved on my tumblr. I'm determined to post this one - if that doesn't happen, hi, me, from the future, trying to cypher why this text never got posted.

This was the rpisode after Good Mythical Evening, and, as we learn from Link, Rhett is still sick, but I think it's safe to say he's not premused quite as dead as he was during the Streamys anymore. Because of all of my neuroses, I've been genuinely worried for a few days, but I guess it's okay to breathe again.

So, Link was doing the podcast with Jenna, and I have to say, this was an excellent episode. The past few times when Jenna had been on the podcast with both Rhett and Link, the dynamic has been a little off, more confrontational with Rhett and Jenna teaming up "against" Link (which of course is not really the case, but because I tend to see things more like Link than Rhett, I'm often rooting for him). This episode, Link and Jenna have a great discussion as complete equals, and it is really enjoyable.

First, Link and Jenna go through GME and the Streamys, and sounds like they are both proud of Link's performances on both occations. It seems Rhett was pretty sick on the night of GME already. I hope GME 4 happens next year, not just because I've loved every show thus far, but so they get a chance to do one with both guys not sick, and with the technical stuff going as planned.

My heart kinda melted, when Link said he was missing "his dude" at the Streamys, and turns out he had talked about what to say on stage with Rhett. The way he presented Mr Beast's award was epic, but apparently, had they won Show of the Year, something even better would have happened. Next year, maybe.

So, the majority of this episode is dedicated to a solo camping trip Link made (with Jasper) during their summer break. He compares notes with Jenna on why they both enjoy solo travels, and talk about things you gotta do to stay safe while staying in the wilderness alone.

The reason I ended up writing my thoughts about this episode, in particular, is that listening to Link and Jenna talk about how freeing solitude is. I got envious.

The reason I've been so absent from Tumblr and everything else is that with my parents getting older, a lot of my time these days involves me doing things for them. My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last year, and he no longer has his driver's licence. My mom has had some pretty major health scares in the past year, and it's near a miracle she is currently alive and actually physically functional. As if these things weren't enough, my sister was diagnosed with cancer, went through surgery, chemo and radiation therapy in the past year, too. She is doing better, now, but with my parents and my sister all struggling, I've suddenly ended up being very necessary. And that means, the most time I've had for myself in the past few months has been two days at most, but usually, not a day goes by without someone needing my help. And, I could really use a solo trip right about now.

Link talked about how being alone gave him a sense of being fully in control, and that made him happy. And for Jenna, solitude meant freedom. I can relate to both of these feelings. I've never really been able to be truly myself when other people are around, and it can be really suffocating. For me, it took a world wide pandemic to figure out that I actually like being me, but the problems, the anxiety and stress, emerge when I'm expected to interact with other people. As much control as I have over my own existence, I can't control other people. I've tried, doesn't work.

I csn't wait to see the video version of this episode on Wednesday. Link showed Jrnna a video he had made while watching the sunset with Jasper. I'm not religious, nor particularly spiritual, but if I ever feel connrcted with the universe, it's when I'm in the wild, surrounded by the beauty of nature. One August night this summer, I sat in the dark, staring at the sky, searching for shooting stars. I was alone at that time, apart from a million mosquitoes eating my ankles, and at the same time, I felt free, yet not lonely. And then I heard something crack in the dark, and, because I was in my garden, I calmly stood up and walked inside.

So, yeah, after sll of this nonsensical rambling, what did I actually want to say? Enjoy the little moments in life, alone or with someone you love. If you can, go on a solo trip - and if that is not an option, go outside, look at the stars and breathe. And even if this text probably isn't the best ad for this Ear biscuits episode, listen to it.

aside from one scene where aiba loses her battery, we don't really see mizuki with her blind grey eye...well, she only has one eye and whether or not aiba is her partner for a while, temporarily, or i hope, she gets a gold-colored (a bit darker than aiba's coloring) left eye for herself if, and i dread this slightly, AI3? she always loses her left eye, and if aiba is turned off, she uses an eyepatch because the prosthetic to cover the gaping hole is a washed out shell of her blue-grey right eye. it's more a washed out, dull lighter gray - silver than the dark blue grey of her right before it was destroyed and i'll be coloring in icons with these dependent on canons of other ai muses. i mean it was blown clean out with not a trace of it left. i doubt they can fully replicate the same color plus..ps won't make it look matching whoops.

she still pursues the detective life / problem solving life and my mizuki is extremely proactive in the HB case, as i'm very bitter about how she was advertised but given so little, and want to balance out what i think ryuki would be doing in my mizuki's storyline when she's old enough to join abis. she's obviously more of a rookie than ryuki is, and my mizuki actively struggles MUCH more with forgiving him on the explosion route. saying she has no stakes to be on the case in a.ini is....her dad literally went missing because of that tragedy. it's a huge driving force to arrest the person who took ANOTHER family member away, tearer, naix, tokiko and also, her own private investigations on horadori institute, which she still was sent there, but she was not born there, just there until she was three as another result of inhumane experimentation.

all the while running two companies or frantically trying to figure out how to at least, with the inheritances that were left behind by her biological father renju. while i do really find that aiba and mizuki as a team grew on me, since they were already like a big sister and little sister different dynamics from iris and mizuki ? and i do think she should have her own AI-BALL that isn't the same yellow but golden-yellow, to match her color scheme because her 18 year old glow up is amazing? she'll always lose that eye. frankly to mizuki it's hardly as traumatic as all the hell she's gone through since she was born, she's kind of...numb and indifferent to it. which is disturbing, considering she canonly sneaks out of counseling or attempts at therapy.

in my canon she's generally borrowing aiba for an unknown period of time and swaps between her eyepatch, that has the insignia in the artbook that date inherited instead, as i'll always cherish aiba and date's bond, or aiba isn't her permanent partner. she is her partner too, but not lifelong. a lifelong familial presence in her life? absolutely. but mizuki should have an ai-ball of her own, someone to bounce her snarky and feisty attitude with in a chemistry unique to her.

i do genuinely hope they give her an ai-ball that does LOOK a lot like aiba's coloring, since that worked so well with her color scheme. maybe a darker gold / yellow, and also her 'seaweed' shape is more like a rabbit, as that is mizuki's animal motif, like date's by fandom standards tends to be the falcon / cat. i also could see a small lion, playing off 'a lionhearted girl.' and because mizuki is both lion and rabbit.

this is her look when date needs aiba back or she's waiting on her own ai-ball. or waiting on having her blown out left eye adjusted to fit aiba. or if it comes down to it, both dates share aiba when it counts, as tama remarked on the diverge ending about mizuki and date tossing aiba around. but date and aiba will ALWAYS be my favorite ai and partner dynamic. i really want to see that for mizuki too! while she won't admit it, she feels more at ease if aiba is with date, because the explosion route whether he's missing long or short in time, and aiba looks after date, in a more...tactical way than say, if mizuki did. she's just as protective but would rather eat rocks than admit it easily.

it just...traumatized her far more than losing an eye just like renju and shoko and date. i plan to write a balanced team of two traumatized detectives, mizuki and ryuki, as both were done so dirty. mizuki will imply ryuki in her canon, mine anyway, and he will also be given the treatment i felt he deserved like she did so, so very much.

honestly? ryuki being someone who has helpful advice for her and them being a big team? after she begins to forgive him slowly for ...involving so many people in the explosion route? she's more receptive to his talents and experience. i just feel knowing mizuki, if you hurt her family even if you had no choice, it's going to take a while to forgive you or not forgive you at all. ryuki is the former, and forgiving him takes mizuki /time/.

I have captured a shitload of moments these past few days. We were making a lot of memories in our last days together.

In my graduation day, my best friends cried. They're afraid they won't see me again. I said, "I'm definitely still one call away sis whatchu talking about?" , laughing, trying to cheer them up.

Not this time. Everytime I imagine you leaving, it feels as if a rock struck down my throat. I can't say anything about it.

Is it because I used to meet you everyday? Is it because I won't meet you in person (at least) for the next two years? Liza, what makes you so special to me and why can't I stop my tears from coming out of my eyes?

It pretty chill to hang out with him after your secret is out, since he doesn’t need time like the others and just keeps treating you the same.

Should you worry about coming off as too girly, he will happily remind you that he lets his sister paint his nails, make his hair and that he was a Japanese princess once.

So you really don’t have to worry about a thing.

Butters:

Why worry about anything, its Butters!

You knew fairly well he had sexist tendencies and could be a dick sometimes but once he discovered youre a girl, he will just keep on going like he always did.

He might invite you to paint each other’s nails and talk over your fear.

He will tell you about that one time he was forced to play a girl and become “Majorine” for some stupid future telling devise.

He is interested in hearing your reason for hiding your gender and once you tell him, he kinda gets it but also tells you that you don’t have to hide anything from him, as he wont ever judge you for your interests.

Should you tell him he wont have much of a reaction to it. A simple “Okay. Cool.” Will be the most you get out of him if you tell him.

If he finds out by other circumstances he wont say much and cut the hang out short or just leave.

He will need some space to think about the whole thing, reevaluate your friendship.

But he will come around.

He will later question why he felt so weird about you being a girl originally, as he feels this doesn’t change all that much between you guys.

He thinks that your tomboy looks fit you better than a girly look, but he would like anything you wear as long as you feel comfortable in it.

Tweek:

He feels uneasy about it at first.

You hid being a girl from him, so what else were you hiding in those oversized hoodies of yours?!

Tweek will probably behave weirdly around you (Not as long as Clyde and Cartman though) but them come slowly around, once you assure him you won’t hide anything important from him anymore.

He fully supports you wearing something more girly and will happily compliment you on any clothes you pick out.

To show you his support he will try to experiment with a new style for himself and will ask you for help.

You didn’t know that going out shopping with someone like Tweek could be that much fun.

so i've been kind of trying to figure out how exactly natasha and kate start their relationship, and i think that it would start with kate having trouble with her prioritizing in college.

warnings: smut at the end (18+), teacher/student relationship (college au, kate is 19 when they start a relationship) 

Natasha notices Kate starting to miss practices, but still looking exhausted and beat down just to keep up with everything.

One day, she asks Kate to come to her office to talk, and Kate is fully convinced she's about to get kicked off of the team

She comes in all fidgety, sitting down on the leather couch that smells like it's been there for years, the material squeaking under her as her leg bounces

Natasha sits across from her, propping one of her legs up on her desk and twirling a pen in one hand. "So, Bishop."

"I'm so sorry coach i know i haven't been coming to practice lately but please don't kick me off my soccer coach just kicked me off and this is the only other extracurricular i still have and I've actually been doing better in class so i can start coming more often but if you really want to -"

"Hey hey hey, calm down," Natasha sits upright. "I'm not kicking you off the team. I'm glad you're trying to sort things out to keep your grades up. I just know you like being on the team, and you're so stressed that you don't even seem to be enjoying yourself."

"I feel like when I'm doing anything but studying, I'm wasting time," Kate admits.

Natasha hums, watching Kate chew on her lip and stare anywhere but her. "You need help taking care of yourself."

"I...maybe."

"And stress relief. You're going to work yourself to death if you keep pushing yourself like that. Lucky for you, I can help."

"Really?"

"Really."

Natasha ends up offering Kate her office to use to study in, a place where the can't get distracted and so she can more easily go straight from working to practice so Kate doesn't have to worry about running late like she usually does

and it eventually ends up with Natasha helping her with some assignments, and the two start getting closer and closer

and then one day, after Kate aces a midterm, Natasha tells her how proud she is and how she deserves something special to celebrate. and she asks kate what that should be, knowing exactly what her answer is

"You, please, Natasha."

kate is definitely super super subby for nat, and i kind of think as playful as their dynamic is, natasha's biggest priority is looking out for kate and making sure she doesn't go back to slacking like she was and have to catch up again

i like to think there's some service top kate and power bottom nat dynamics because. thats a good image

What are my top four favorite non-romantic relationship dynamics for them?

Just a heads-up now, Whitley doesn't have many canon interactions and I'm avoiding his family, so we'll be diving into hypotheticals fairly quickly.

Ironwood: I'm fully on board for Ironwood to be the father figure the Schnees' deserve, and that includes Whitley. Their little banter at the door in V7 was nice, and it was incredibly refreshing to see someone actually talk to Whitley with some respect as a human being. In a nicer timeline, I could absolutely see Whitley working in an R&D facility as an adult for the military and reporting to Ironwood, the two having a more argumentative relationship than Winter and Ironwood do, but one ultimately built on a foundation of grudging respect for the other's work and skills. Also, just more positive male figures in Whitley's life, please.

Ruby: I was 100% ready for them to reveal Whitley's techy tendencies and have the two of them geek out about weapon designs, Dust, power suits, all of that fun stuff. Even if the show has largely left Ruby's weapon nerd side behind, I still think the two of them would make a great team, Whitley being more into the circuitry/computer coding and Dust side of the equation, and Ruby having a more practical knowledge of engineering and physics to make the ideas they come up with work in reality. Sadly, that apparently wasn't meant to be. Besides that, I do appreciate that Ruby was the one to reach out and show a little respect to Whitley in V8 E4, actually trying being kind and reasonable when asking to crash in his home. It's one of the few moments where I feel like the old Ruby surfaced in that volume. I really think that they could have made really good friends, and if I ever decide to get off my lazy ass, I'll dig up my old "Ruby/Whitley Pen Pals AU" idea and make it a reality.

Ren: Look, I just want Whitley to have an older brother figure, and Ren is the prime candidate. Ren has endless patience and while not good at expressing his own emotions, is good at reading them in others (literally now), making him a good fit to handle someone that masks his emotions and lashes out to defend himself. I could also see his fighting style appealing to Whitley, respecting a more subtle approach to fighting. Other candidates for this older brother spot include Jaune and Marrow.

Oscar: I don't personally ship Snowpines very much, so this can count, right? I think the two can relate with being pulled into this situation not entirely of their own free will, and the discussions they could have about identity would be very interesting - Whitley being defined by being a Schnee, the new heir, and Weiss's brother rather than by what he himself can bring, and Oscar's sense of self becoming lost as the merge grows closer and closer and his personality is mixed with Oz's. The rich city boy x poor country boy dynamic is always a fun one, too. I want the two to go shopping for new clothes sometime and eavesdrop on that conversation~

What season were they at their best and why?

Volume 8, hands down. He was the undeniable MVP of episode 8 and did so much to show off what a smart, resourceful, brave, and surprisingly caring person he can be. He called a doctor for Nora, came up with the airship plan, completed the commands even in the face of the Hound, helped finish it off while the Huntresses were all dumbstruck, gathered the blueprints to make the portal plan work - he did so much this volume and I'm so proud of him.

What season were they at their worst and why?

Hmm... which is worse, the humiliation of V7 Cordially Invited, or V4 with Weiss acting like he betrayed her for doing nothing... I would probably say they're about even in quality, but if I had to pick one, I'd say V7 was more disappointing. He had some really good scenes with Ironwood, Jacques, and the stair scene after Jacques gets arrested, but I really hate the wine prank and feel like they missed a lot of good opportunities to use his character and develop him. V4 is frustrating with how much it wants to paint him as a bad guy for doing literally nothing, but it's nothing that couldn't have been revealed to be a bias of Weiss's that she overcomes with the help of an outside perspective, and then repair that relationship. That didn't happen, but looking at V4 by itself, it's more the fan response that frustrates me than the actual volume's content.

How would I rank their outfits from worst to best?

Slytherin~ Ravenclaw is a valid contender, but I love the idea of a resourceful and ambitious Whitley that works hard to achieve his goals and prove himself worthy. Slytherin Prefect, and gifted in Transfiguration, with a pet cat he's very fond of.

As for wands, I'm thinking pine wood with unicorn hair, but I could also see elm or acacia.

What do I think this character would be like if they were on the opposite side (good characters are bad, bad characters are good)

I mean, they would just actually make him mini-Jacques, but that's boring as shit.

So how about a character that has been perpetually ignored and abused by the people who are supposed to love him? A character who grows to hate the very idea of huntsmen and huntresses that are upheld as "paragons of virtue and glory" but can't even stop the abuse in their own households, who do whatever they want and use their skills for evil with no oversight? A character that sees 5 people be able to halt the flow of the most crucial resource of their world and leave 3 out of 4 kingdoms utterly defenseless and energy-less? A character that decides that the system that couldn't even stop one of the most famous men in the world from abusing his own son to the ground has to go. No more renegade huntsmen that fail to protect anyone, no more embargos imposed by the will of less than 10 people to the detriment of millions, no more children left behind to fend for themselves, no more kingdoms left to fight alone. And to build something new, the old must be torn down and the earth scorched clean.

...but he's also 15, so I'm not sure how much he could act on that anger. XD

If I suddenly had control of RWBY, what would I want to do with this character after the events of V8?

Vacuo adventures! Clearly Whitley has one of the only two braincells from the hero crew (Ren has the other), so I'd like for him to be included in the problem solving of how to accommodate thousands/millions of people being added into a kingdom that already had a housing problem (from what I've heard - I haven't actually read any of the tie-ins). Whitley's already proven to be good at using the resources they have, so I'd like to see how that would work in a new kingdom.

I'd also like some interaction with Winter, see how that awkward reunion and inevitable blow-up goes, and even though I hate the idea of him becoming a huntsmen, I would be interested in Winter trying to teach him some basic self-defense. Vacuo is a dangerous place, and probably doubly so for a Schnee, and Winter just lost one sibling. I could absolutely see her feeling like she has to at least try to teach Whitley how to defend himself - and there would be so much drama involved in that that I want to see. Also, the two characters I said I'd like to see him interact more with are there, so win-win.

Hello!!! Thank you for asking me about Chief Kim!!!! I can go on about it for ages lol. This got a bit long so i’m putting it under a cut

Chief Kim (aka Good Manager) is a comedy office drama with 20 eps, and it aired in 2017. There isn’t a main romance plotline, but don’t let that put you off! It’s an incredible drama in so many ways. (tho there is a subtle romance side plot, but it doesn’t involve the main character and it’s never the main focus, though it is cute). It does feature a bromance that was so great that the two actors literally won an award for it tho lol, so there’s also that!

In a way, the general premise is somewhat similar to Vincenzo in that it’s the main character and an unlikely team of others fighting a big corporation. The comedic tone is also more or less the same. The drama follows Kim Seong Ryong (the titular Chief Kim, played by Namgoong Min), a man with a talent for handling numbers who goes from running a seedy accounting firm to quite accidentally becoming a champion of employees rights in one of the biggest corporations in the country. He originally joins the company with the goal of embezzling a lot money and moving abroad, but he gets swept up in office politics surrounding high executives and the sinister goings on surrounding the position he was recruited for, as well as the shady things the higher-ups want him to do and the suspicion of the other members of his department. Eventually he starts to work alongside them to fight the corruption of the higher ups, and quickly becomes the bane of top management’s existence by being so incredibly annoying that they begin to regret hiring him.

It’s the kind of drama that really gets you to laugh, while still being incredibly heartwarming. The main character is so unashamedly funny, and the character dynamics are all so warm, and none of it ever seems forced. The first tag for the drama on MyDramaList is “character development”, and that says a lot! There’s so much growth that goes on for all the characters, even some of the villains! It’s especially funny because to begin with all the good things Kim Seong Ryeong does are completely by accident, and he’s annoyed but also pleased with all the attention it gets him. Over time he begins to own it, and begins to actively try to stand up to the corrupt people at the top of the company. The other highlight for me besides the humor is definitely the characters. From the eccentric main character, to the no-nonsense second in command in his department Yoon Ha Kyung, to the aggressive finance director Seo Yul who is always eating (one of my all time favourite characters, played by 2PM’s Junho), to the janitor lady who always roasts everyone, there isn’t a single dull character, whether good or bad. And Seo Yul gets one of the best character arcs I’ve ever seen in a kdrama. You get to watch the characters struggle and triumph, and you feel for them because their struggles feel so real, and the drama really gets you invested in them. You see the ways in which they fight to survive as normal working class citizens and you want them to win.

It differs from Vincenzo in that the main character isn’t considered evil and loses his less savoury traits over the course of the drama (his character arc is one of becoming a more upstanding citizen), and the message is one of fighting against corporate greed using the corporate system against itself in order to make things better for the average working citizen. But there’s the same plotting, and the same feeling of rooting for the protagonist team to win as you watch them plot and plan. I never rewatch things, but i’ve rewatched Chief Kim twice already and i’m looking forward to rewatching it again soon (just writing about it is making me want to rewatch it right now lol). It especially hits well for me because i love office dramas, and the humor and the bromance are just right. (Also, not entirely related, but it’s the first drama Kim Seonho was in!)

Another Park Jaebum drama i can definitely recommend is The Fiery Priest! It’s also a comedy action drama with 20 eps (released in 2019), and it follows Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil), a catholic priest with a real temper, as he works to solve the mystery surrounding the death of a senior priest. No romance there either, but it’s got the same humor as Chief Kim and Vincenzo, and the same overarching found family trope (that really shines for this one). It’s darker than Chief Kim, but not as dark as Vincenzo. The plot is very intriguing, and it’s the kind of drama you feel compelled to keep watching to see what happens next. And the host of characters in that drama is still one of my favourites to this day. Every character was incredibly written, and they all played vital roles in the overall story. Again, lots of character development all round, and great character arcs not just for the main character (even for a few of the villains!). Plus it was lovely to watch the various characters interact, get closer, and build relationships. Such an iconic squad. Not to mention how funny it is?? And the fight scenes??? In fact, I enjoyed it so much that when I checked Park Jaebum’s page on MyDramaList after watching it around June last year and saw Vincenzo as an upcoming project, I added it to my plan to watch list immediately even though there was only a single line of synopsis lol. It’s also got an absolute banger of a soundtrack!

When you think about it, all three (Chief Kim, TFP and Vincenzo) can be simplified to “guy with dubious past sets out to fight corruption and creates a great support circle in the process”. All three are dramas of finding people who care about you and are willing to fight alongside you, and fighting for your convictions/what you think is right. Each main character starts out as a somewhat solitary figure, and you get to watch as they each find people who are willing to fight alongside them and support them. What exactly those specific convictions are varies in each drama, but Park Jaebum writes the character development arcs incredibly each time, and the relationships between the characters are so real and so satisfying to watch. And yet the integrity of the main character in each drama is never compromised either, it’s shown that they can grow and become better without losing themselves. The growth is also in the way that they learn to work with and rely on others, because teamwork makes the dream work. And then to cap it all off he lets them have victories, and he makes it SO satisfying??? There are highs and there are lows, and you feel all of those right there with the characters, which makes the victories feel so so good. In each we see the ensemble cast get involved with the fight and the plotting, and we get to see all their epic plans and their execution, and the victories they win that build up over time. And it’s so satisfying to me! I love it a lot, just thinking about it is making me smile lol. It also shows how well humor and darker/more serious plotlines/events are balanced in the dramas, neither is compromised in favour of the other, but it always works so well that the humor never feels forced or out of place. As someone who doesn’t like overbearingly dark shows, I really appreciate that. They all give you lots to laugh at, while not losing any of the plot to the funny.

Of course there are differences, notably the romance, and the fact that Vincenzo is bad vs bad rather than good vs bad like the other two. They deal more with redemption (especially The Fiery Priest), but that works for the stories that are being told, and it’s very well executed.

It’s worth noting that Park Jaebum also wrote Good Doctor and 4 seasons of God’s Quiz. I haven’t checked those out yet, but I’ve heard good things about all of them. He also wrote Blood, I haven’t seen that one either but opinions seem to be split on how good it was. All of those are medical dramas (which is the reason I haven’t watched them lol, i can’t stand medical dramas) from before 2017, when he wrote Chief Kim. It seems he’s been on a roll since then, good for him and good for us lol. You can see everything he’s written on his MyDramaList page.

Overall I enjoyed the Park Jaebum dramas I have seen for first and foremost the comedy, but also for the warmth of the character relationships and for how well developed/written each character is. And I love how he balances the humor with more poignant/darker moments, I laughed a lot watching all three dramas, but I’ve cried over each of them as well. It’s a good balance to have, it gives you a good plot to be interested in, but doesn’t keep you stressed and sombre the whole way through. I’ve seen people say that Vincenzo wouldn’t be as good if it wasn’t so wacky, and I fully agree. It’s the same for both TFP and Chief Kim, and that balance is definitely what I appreciate most in Park Jaebum’s dramas. I know I will laugh, but I also know I will get an incredible plot and incredible characters, and that’s really important for me. Plus I know I can trust that there will be a good ending because the writer cares about his characters.

I definitely recommend checking out both TFP and Chief Kim after Vincenzo is done, especially since they’re so similar in terms of comedic tone and basic plot direction. If you ever get to watching either of them feel free to hmu to chat about it!! There’s lots of plot stuff that can be can discussed.
