i've been tied up in knots after kdin posted her twitlonger (cw homophobia, f slur) - i've been so sad for her, and waiting for the three people i gave a shit about to respond.

gavin's statement was not an apology. he seemed remorseful, but he did not apologize. kdin did not respond to him.

geoff's "apology" fucking sucked. we all know you're built on self-loathing, geoffrey, and the way you wrote only looks like you're trying to lean on it as an excuse. furthermore, some of his twitter likes are...not cute. kdin responded and not only did not forgive him, but said further that she'd asked him to air out all of this shit in 2020, and he said no.

michael's apology...he's my favourite, so i'm biased, but i don't want to be. i hated how he phrased his. i remember the time he spoke of, where shock humour was "normalized". i appreciate that he mentioned he'd spoken to kdin privately, a long time ago. kdin responded and said she forgave him then and forgave him now.

so that's it.

i am not the one being apologized to so i am not accepting them. shamefully, however, i feel a little better now that kdin has publically forgiven michael for his part in this.

i don't know what to think or to feel. mainly, though, i'm just desperately disappointed and sad.

i already wasn't watching AH videos anymore so i think i'm going to unsub. delete my RT account. unfollow gavin (i wasn't following geoff). keep an eye on michael.

worst way to start my new year, thanks. i have a lot of things to say about these companies but i'm tired and just keeping it focused to the pin side of things for this one. do not ever buy pins from these companies, literally ALL of them are stolen from small artists like me. if you want to buy enamel pins, check out etsy, and artist's personal websites and shops! (though even Etsy has some bootleg pins that ship straight from china, so tread carefully…)

Every pin I've designed is, thus far, EXCLUSIVE to my etsy. if you find it anywhere else, it's been ripped off! and once these stupid bootlegs pop up, it's basically a never ending game of whack-a-mole trying to get them all taken down...

I really like that they made Jor-El speak Kryptonian and Clark unable to understand him. The whole "aliens speak English" thing that happens in every goddamn media has bothered me all my life. Ik sometimes Clark just gets zapped in the brain for insta-second language but that always felt like a cheap shortcut.

Jor-El had a lot on his mind when he set up that magic spaceship okay. The world was ending and he was trying to do as much as he could before time ran out so he could be there for his son. He was rushing. He likely didn't consider Kal would be raised with a whole different language and not know any Kryptonian nor have anyone to teach him.
