Au time continues, now featuring Remus

He’s a witch (like Virgil)

He has a pretty high amount of magic, but his raw magic is linked with Romans (they basically share the same magic battery) so that can be an issue sometimes. He is fairly skilled with his magic, he may not know a lot of normal spells, but he gets creative with it.

He is constantly fighting the urge to get more piercings, but his current facial piercings are: right eyebrow, bridge, nose, septum, smiley, snake bites, labret, and dimples. (All but one are ones my sister has/had) And he got 13 ear piercings

It would be funny in season 2, we see Tyler all Hannibal Lecter style, him inside a jail cell for dangerous monsters.

Wednesday will visit him to ask for information and if he noticed anyone looking/stalking him. However, Tyler will just be like: Hi, Wednesday so how you been? 😉

It would be really interesting if the writers toy with him, you know? Like: Is he really going to help or he got something up his sleeves?

Because as the viewers and everyone else, we know we can’t trust Tyler just yet.

And if he actually have to help Wednesday to catch her stalker. It would be extra cool to see everyone reaction.

Wednesday: Clam down. I have everything under control.

Enid: Clam down?! Did you forget he try to kill us?!

Eugene: And actually succeeding.

Tyler: I mean, you’re alive aren’t you? (Everyone looks at him) sorry

This is probably niche but I have a bookstagram too and literally whenever I post more about Greek mythology retellings- like Song or Achilles and PJO like all the other blogs out there- I swear all these Greek nationalists(?) just bleed out of the woodwork to come defend ancient misogyny and claim exclusive rights to ancient stories?? Yes cultural appropriation is a thing, but fam…this is not that.

I have never seen them do this on any one else’s posts and like jeez Louise what am I doing to attract all of them?? I get that Greek mythology is a part of your culture but the hard truth is it is a part of all major Western identities, particularly in the US.

Rick does an amazing job of pointing all this out in Percy Jackson, but there are dozens and dozens of books and papers discussing Greek mythology being at the core of Western psyche (and yes I did use the word psyche to reinforce my point). The architecture. The symbolism. The narrative tropes. Brands like Nike. Our solar systems???

This is just a rant but seriously why would you spend your time ‘defending’ a guy who beheaded a woman who was punished for being a victim (in most versions of the Medusa myth) and why would you bother doing it in my wee little corner of the internet?

MLP Redesign (Minuette)

So me and my bestie (you know who you are) keep dragging each other back into mlp and the two of us can draw. SO. We’ve challenge ourselves to redesign Twilight’s friends back from in the academy. So here’s my first one under the cut if you’re interested:

Not to make ourself suffer TOO much, we decided each to do two and Minuette was my first one. So here she is. I like to headcanon in this redesign that she’s half pegasus as in one of her parents’ a unicorn and the other a pegasus. It just seems right idk.

Ravenloft headcanons:

Both Rudolph and Erasmus van Richten are really good at trick shots. (It’s a skill that comes in handy surprisingly often.)

Alanik had a habit of pacing the room while in deep thought. This habit resulted in wearing pathways in the floor. Being wheelchair bound did not stop this habit.

Ez has terrible taste in romantic partners.

The only things Strahd is still capable of feeling genuine affection for are his nightmare and the bats that hang out in his castle.

Azalin Rex is a giant troll and was allowed by the dark powers to escape Darkon because he only ever wants to fuck with people and doesn’t actually do anything truely “evil”… anymore.

Alanik gets super excited when people try to kill him. It’s his favorite part of working a case because it’s an indicator that he’s close to the truth. He’s always deeply disappointed when it doesn’t happen. Arthur is usually terrified by his excitement but has slowly become accustomed to it.

Erasmus (as a ghost) enjoys making his loved ones laugh and it always confuses the hell out of his father.

Erasmus has a suspiciously fey-like affinity with animals. When he was alive, he’d befriended a flock of ravens. He even kept one as a pet. A one-eyed “hell bird” named Hades who had a habit of biting Rudolph for no particular reason. After Erasmus died, Hades stayed with Rudolph for almost 20 years before dying of natural causes.

Rudolph makes dad jokes. He actually has a rather dry sense of humor and is surprisingly funny if you can get him to open up.

If Erasmus is resurrected, Gennifer and Laurie smother him with an almost embarrassing amount of affection though he isn’t shy about reminding them that their “little cousin” is roughly 20 years older than they are. They do not care.

When the detective duo first started their relationship, it was Alanik who made the first move (spurred by Erasmus), causing Ez to lose a bet with Rudolph. Later Arthur proposed using a puzzle box.

Ez and Erasmus both have a massive sweet tooth.

Arthur has in-depth conversations with the corpses he autopsies and sometimes even tries to involve Alanik in said conversations. Alanik finds this practice entirely bizarre but deeply insightful.

Honestly, just imagine somewhere in season two, we get a scene with Tyler and Wednesday which can be a parallel to season one where he said “I want us to be more than friends” to “can we be friends?”

With Wednesday saying something like “you do realize that I can’t fully trust you yet, right?” And Tyler being totally okay with that, and then they shake hands.

( I think that would be amazing because it would show how much Tyler like Wednesday and how much he regrets hurting her and wants to start their relationship all over again. As for Wednesday, it can show that she can forgive people again. It would be really sweet. )
