I read a fic recently where mu qingfang was like "sometimes if we get VERY lucky, shang-shidi knows some miracle cure" and ive thinking about that in terms of 'god sqh'. Like you mention how x disciple is gonna die of the hyperdeath dying flower and your martial brother speaks in tongues to himself for a moment before stuttering and stammering his way into a 'this might work but good luck' possible cure. Reality takes a sharp turn for half a second and then when you try it, it works. He dismisses it and himself but it keeps happening. Not always, but sometimes. Often enough to be a pattern. Is he some kind of seer? Diviner? Or just divine? He's very protective of his personal rooms so you're not going to be able to get evidence either way. He keeps a garden of poisons and cures that he supplies you with personally, anyway. You're not gonna pry. Then later when everyone is screaming crying throwing up because he betrayed the sect you interrupt his demon king? Boss? Something. To be like hold up. Shang-shidi can I have an address for any emergency letters I might have to send you. Oh and also have you got a supplier for your meds in the demon realm? Hm? Oh yes very powerful demon Lord your flustered servant takes anti anxiety medicine. Yes it's a mix of herbs that forces him to be in less of a state- yes he gets worse than this. Shang-shidi don't whine I've seen you off your meds I KNOW you get stomach aches from anxiety so bad you can't work. Yes the 'category 5 tummy event' is not a secret. We know about them shang-shidi.

The idea of Mu Qingfang just knowing that yeah Shang-Shidi most often then not probably has the cure to this Very deadly disease and doesn't bat an eye he's just like well as long as they live I GUESS.

I think when we talk about treating Taylor (or any celeb) as a real human, the focus is usually on remembering they have feelings and insecurities and bad days too. But sometimes I think this fandom in particular needs a reminder that Taylor being human means she is not a god. She doesn’t know everything or see everything or have control over every aspect of everything that anyone in her orbit does. She should definitely be held accountable for things she has control over, but a lot of folks come up with theories that hinge on her knowing obscure facts or being caught up on specific fandom discourse or being able to control what other artists/celebrities do or wear, and then get frustrated and confused when that doesn’t end up being the case. She’s very smart and very savvy, but she really is just a human woman doing her best and maybe it’s not totally humanizing to expect complete omniscience from her.

Will finds comfort in the Alpha and sits in silence near him, sometimes he's painting while Steve reads and Steve praises his work and he feels really happy he made their leader happy. Max, who gets in fights with other pups, reluctantly gets guidance from Steve, who gives her the most disappointed mom look and then gives her pointers on her swings. Steve is whining to the older teens that he doesn't have a pack and everyone is like ???? (Robin also swings at him for acting like they aren't pack bonded, yelling at him about being a bonded pair and Steve is just like well ya platonically but that doesn't count, which causes a whole new argument)

• Steve who is extra sensitive to scents because of getting hit too many times and losing part of his hearing. He is very attentive to the slight changes, and can tell when someone he's close to has different emotions. Steve especially can tell when someone is about to go into rut or heat, and he gives them a care package (because let's be honest half his friends don't take care of themselves, hell he doesn't even take care of himself).

I remembered you explaining once how you planned out general plot beats but also left a significant amount up to what the game would tell you - like how Rosella was originally going to have an affair with George's husband (his name escapes me right now, lol), but in game Rosella didn't seem interested in men, and therefore the story shifted to what we know now. Simply curious if that's still the case or not. Either way, love your work!

So I’ll be the first to admit that I can’t pinpoint exactly what I’ve explained about my process in the past, partially because I have a supremely shitty memory but also because the process has morphed over time! But more or less the way I’ve always planned is that I have ideas for “moments”, some big like the Titanic and others relatively small like individual scenes or even snippets of dialogue. How I connect those moments is something that has some flexibility.

However, I wouldn’t say that gameplay really influences this at all? So like for Rosella, it wasn’t so much that “in game” (like through preferences, actions, traits, etc) influenced me, more that as I thought on who she was and how she got to that “moment,” all the details became more clear. It’s almost like a block of marble, in that the more you chip away at the structure, the clearer the object becomes, even though you went into the project with a clear goal. Unfortunately gameplay does not do much to help illuminate that path, although I do think seeing the characters is inspiration in and of itself, and does serve to bring them and their motivations to life.

What I will say has changed is that I now have more and more of those “moments.” So as the plots, characters, and years gain momentum, they begin to draw lines amongst themselves or produce consequences that in turn connect the dots almost on their own. So yes, now more than in the 1900s for example, I am functioning in my own web of plot points more than I am still figuring out how to make large connections between “moments”, if that makes sense? But simultaneously this also creates its own need for more developments, connections, and jumps, so it’s always a give and take between planning, writing, and feeling out how exactly to connect all these things together in a way that feels genuine for the characters that have revealed more of themselves with each passing year.

Anywho, I hope this made a lick of sense! Thanks for the question my dear ☺️
