Okay so uh. Sorry to my jaytim ppl but this is not gonna be jaytim???

In a WILD turn of events, I sat down to write my Jaytim reverse robins fic bc I was feeling inspired about it and I wrote the first chapter. And then by the time I got to the end of it I was like oh. Oh this is actually DamiTim. And then I just. Couldn't stop writing. I definitely am still going to write the Jaytim flavored version, so no one worry about that, but apparently, this is also happening!!

So here you are, some Nightwing!Damian/Red Hood!Tim!!!! I hope you all enjoy 💖 (context to the scene: they are on the phone at a ridiculously early hour)

“I told you already, you may scold me if you like.” “Scold you? Right now I’d like to strangle you.” “I think that would be fair.” Tim laughs, a surprised, sudden noise, and Damian wants to beam. “How is your throat?” he asks, and his voice has gone gentle, softness leaking into it. “It’s fine.” Tim's voice is icing over, losing warmth. “And your wrist?” “You left a few bruises, but nothing’s broken. Full range of motion. Does it matter?” Of course, Damian wants to say. Of course it matters. “I did not mean to hurt you.” “You never mean to,” Tim mutters, and Damian isn’t entirely sure he was meant to hear it. “What are you doing right now?” “Making coffee,” Tim sighs, irate. “Do you still take it with an obscene amount of sugar?” Damian asks, trying to get him back, trying to get his brother back. He wonders how much of the rest of his life will be spent trying to get his brother back. “No, I drink it black.” That knowledge settles painfully under his left rib. “You used to take it with so much sugar that I was concerned.” Tim scoffs. “And you still won’t touch the stuff, I’m sure? Only fine teas for the prince?” Damian squeezes his eyes shut. “I have… developed a taste for coffee.” “I bet your blend costs five thousand dollars a bean.” “I don’t think it even costs five cents a bean.” “Oh? Where do you source it?” “The bodega.” Tim snorts. “Sorry, sorry. I’m just trying to picture Damian Wayne walking into a bodega with a sword strapped to his back, digging through his pockets for enough change to afford his morning cup.” A smile curls across Damian’s lip, against his will. He is powerless to prevent it. “The owner is Egyptian. It can be nice to have a conversation in Arabic, every once in a while.” There’s a pause before Tim answers him.

“How do you take your coffee?” he asks in Arabic. “Black,” Damian responds in Arabic, feeling that same feeling he always gets when he gets to rest his English. Like collapsing onto his bed after an especially long day, remembering that his comforter and sheets and pillows were waiting for him. “I didn’t know you missed speaking Arabic.” “I never knew you spoke Arabic.” “Yes, you did,” Tim snaps, abruptly switching back to English. “You knew.” “…not when I would have had an occasion to use it.” “An occasion, are you kidding me? Any time you wanted. Any time you wanted to walk into the manor and say anything to me, you know I would have listened. I would have done anything for you, don’t you get that?” Damian sighs at himself. Why is he even doing this? Every time he thinks he finds an opening, Tim slams the door on his fingers. “Yes, I do." “You are infuriating to talk to, you know that?” “Yes,” Damian answers. “Why are you staying on the phone with me?” “Because you—” Tim groans at himself, and Damian feels like an intruder. “You always make me want more than I can have.” Before Damian can think of an answer to that, Tim has hung up.

Also, do you think that the scenario with Marina had an affect on Colin self confidence? I understand why Marina felt she had no choice but to trap Colin, I actually don’t want to downgrade her . However, I do sympathize with Colin too bc I feel like it’s not easy dealing with the idea of being used. Also, I hope they explore Colin’s character a lot more in S3 .

I think maybe my opinion for Marina the character has been influenced by how much I like Ruby Barker, who is a sweetheart. But while I think that the Marina situation was complicated, my caveat with her approach to Colin was that.. she didn't have to lie about it. She lied to him only because she was in a rush and didn't know Colin well enough to realize that inlove as he was, Colin would have still accepted her even if she was pregnant. She lied to him, she didn't trust him and she did it with the full intention of tricking him into a lifelong commitment without full disclosure of the details involved.

I think that left Colin very wary of being lied to. And I like to think that this is what's going to bite Penelope in the butt next season. Because Marina didn't know Colin. But Penelope DOES, she has to know that Colin would rather prefer being told the truth to his face than discovering a secret from someone he loves. Not that Penelope is planning to use him, but Colin will still feel like she never trusted him in the first place, even knowing he 'would never hurt her' by exposing her secret. Nevermind that Penelope has her reasons for hiding her secret from Colin. He's still going to feel betrayed and angry at the fact that Penelope, who always looked at him like some sort of hero, has been lying to him all this time, meaning she doesn't actually believe any of the positive things she's said about him.

If Penelope could lie to Colin about Lady Whistledown, what else has she lied about? Does she really admire him, or thing he's a good man. Or was that just emply flattery to get rid of him so he wouldn't get close enough to discover her secret.

And maybe these kind of thoughts is what will lead to the transformation from puppy love Colin to the Fierce riled up Colin I loved during the second half of Romancing Mr Bridgerton.

I want Colin to discover that being nice to Penelope doesn't work, because she can use his own manners against him. So the next step is being a scoundrel, because at least this way, Penelope can't predict his next move and he can catch her in her own game.

But hey, maybe that's just me wishing for ice in my tea during this heatwave.

Man of Medan headcanons

Even though the fandom is almost nonexistent, that won't stop me from talking about it! So here are some headcanons for all of the Man of Medan kids bc I love them~

First, some neurodivergence headcanons!

Fliss & Brad are both autistic and Conrad has adhd! My neurodivergent faves, I love them sm❤

Brad has a bunch of sensory toys & fidgets that he shares with Fliss & Conrad after they get back home. Brad was surprised that Conrad didn't already have them, since he can afford almost anything, and Conrad reveals that he had bought several fidget spinners when they were popular, but he never knew about other fidgets like the infinity cube (which becomes his favorite). Fliss quickly favors the kinetic sand because it reminds her of the beach & she likes the way it feels in her hands.

Conrad buys 3 sets of noise-cancelling headphones for each of them. He doesn't really get as bothered by lots of noise as Brad & Fliss do, but he could afford it and he wanted to be included in the neurodivergent trio lol, so he figured why not.

Fliss has a super soft fuzzy blanket that she sleeps with every night. If she's ever feeling down, sometimes she'll just grab her blanket & huddle up with a hot cup of tea or something (I also headcanon her as more of a tea person than coffee).

Okay here are some other headcanons!

Despite Brad clearly being the more academic brother, Alex always fell under the role of the "golden child." Their parents didn't have a favorite at all, they loved both boys equally, but Alex was always the one they put a bit more pressure on as their oldest. This was unfair to both of them, as Brad felt like he was always living in Alex's shadow & Alex always felt like he had to be perfect.

Alex played football in high school & briefly contemplated a sports career, but his parents were always a little weary of the field; and after one of his friends & teammates suffered a concussion, Alex felt the urge to go into the medical field instead so he could help people like his friend whenever they got hurt. I like to think it comes from being the older brother & always feeling the need to be a protector.

When they were kids, Conrad & Julia had ongoing prank wars. Julia was usually the victor as her pranks were more clever, but Conrad was always quicker with a comeback afterwards. Their parents eventually put a stop to these battles when one of Conrad's pranks resulted in Julia getting a swollen lip. Conrad felt so bad afterwards, though, so he tried to make it up to her by getting her favorite ice cream (chocolate peanut butter cup) & watching her favorite movie with her (Legally Blonde, because obviously).

Julia is a secret nerd. She won't admit it because she has her street cred & popularity to maintain, but she's totally into all of the history & World War II stuff that Brad is also into. She might not know as much as he does, because his hyperfixation has caused him to relentlessly research it, but she's actually very interested in it. After they all get back home, she starts asking him questions about his grandfather & what else he knows and he just starts gushing to her all about it. It makes Alex happy to see them bonding so well, and he & Conrad tease their respective siblings for being nerds.

Fliss was homeschooled, which is why she tells Brad that she "never really went to school." Her parents just thought that they would be able to give her a better education than she would get at any public or private school. This made it hard for her to make friends growing up, but she would make up for it by finding out-of-school activities and extracurriculars, like swim teams & gymnastics.

Fliss & Conrad are both bisexual! And they both have a preference for women, too. Fliss has experience with both men and women, so she knows who does it better😉 (hence her telling Brad about how women are good in bed); but she has a weakness for goofy & slightly dumb guys (*cough* like Conrad.. Same, girl, same😅). Conrad has felt some feelings for some guys here and there and he'll occasionally flirt with them, but he mainly only has experience with women. He and Fliss make a beautiful bisexual couple💗💜💙

Brad is both gay and asexual! He's been in the closet since high school when he realized that a boy in his biology class had caught his attention. It's not that he's scared to tell anyone, as he knows that his family would love & accept him regardless, but it's more that he's confused by his feelings & not sure what to make of them. It doesn't help that he doesn't experience attraction to the same level or frequency that most of his peers do, so it's harder for him to figure it out.

Conrad is an alcoholic. This one is pretty much canon, as he's seen drinking more than any of the other characters & even opens a beer immediately after they all get back on the Duke safely; but Julia's line about how she's been "studying it for years" in regards to his tendency to get so drunk that he forgets things makes it sound like it's been a reoccurring issue in the past. Perhaps he went through a period where he struggled with depression or anxiety and the booze helped calm & quiet his mind, so he became reliant on it and he feels he needs to have it in order to feel good. This headcanon makes me sad and I like to think that he eventually heals from this addiction & becomes sober with everyone else's help (especially Fliss & Julia)❤

Ones like empathy or compassion because no matter how much he may want to show it (he’s long since stuffed that down in a box locked tight and it rarely peaks out) it could cloud his judgement or get someone he cares about killed because one minute you think you’re dealing with someone who needs help and the next they’re taking advantage of you or are able to kill you

Cyra

Things like anger or frustration come so easy that when she feels peace or even happy it feels like something is off or that she’s letting her guard down. And the last time she felt or did that well, she gets the friendly reminder in the way of phantom pains

Spade

Ice cream but the simple flavors, nothing to extrapolate or something with to many different flavors. Just seems over complicated and he can’t focus on the one specific flavor he likes

For the love of everything good and holy he would wish that he could stop being in constant pain all. The. Time. So that maybe he could do more and be more useful than he thinks he is (he doesn’t even think about getting a way out of what they do now, since he’s been doing it for so long) But as to actually getting the problem solved (or at least lessened since there’s not really a cure for osteoarthritis) he can’t go far unless their medic can get the supplies they need

Cyra

To please just see the sky one more freaking time before she dies at least, even if it’s through a window or for just a few seconds. She would do near anything but she can’t without being killed

It really depends on who is on the tracks but he’s probably go for the track with one person on it then try to get them off it before the train got there. Now if he did see some of the really bad people he’s met then he’d let them get run over without a care

Not sure if he could find it within himself to care much anymore, he tends to see the worst in everyone so he doesn’t care who dies as long as it’s not someone he cares about. He knows that sound cold and heartless but you do what you have to do to survive

This one is complicated because Kassai would have tried to save as many as she could but Cyra tries look away and not care at all

Ice King Andrealphus being the third fucking wheel, questioning why he even showed up, but staying for the literal tea

Stolas & Stella obviously hated each other from the get go, so yeah, he didn't betray no one (except maybe his daughter's trust)

COWBOY DADDY STRIKER STRIKES BACK!!! Still sad that Norman Reedus didn't return to voice him, but I kinda already had a feeling that he wouldn't return cuz 1) We didn't get to hear Striker in the S2 Trailer & I think it was confirmed that most of the cast had finished recording their lines for this season over a year ago and 2) It's understandable bc he's a busy man in the acting industry!

And besides, Ed's an awesome VA (especially with all the characters he's voiced so far in the Hellaverse), so I didn't really mind the recast!

i am so like. metaphysically exhausted i feel like im going thru so much rn i just need to vent with timestamps

like i have zero money so my card declined on my medical bill today and i have to make a bunch of phone calls to places that are only open on weekdays. and i have to prepare for a market but my heart is just not in it. plus ive been waiting to hear back about some other freelance stuff but it hasnt happened yet. so i just keep working on little bits and praying that it will work out. esp bc i have a tattoo appointment i made for my birthday to keep from totally spiraling but i obviously dont have the money for it right now.

and i have to go talk to bf's parents on monday and convince them that im telling the truth about anything w regards to moving. when they dont respect me and think im just some fairy trying to steal their daughter. and the thing is i am but its obviously for the best. and my parents are excited that im moving back but they cant really help me until july and mostly once we're already over there. and bc of how little money we have were gonna have to get rid of most of our stuff and either fly or drive a car across the country.

and all of this while i am getting sicker and sicker and ive just been getting sicker for years and usually it gets better in the summer but this year it isnt so im really worried about that. all i want is to sit outside in a pretty dress with a fun beverage and draw and write but the reality of my situation keeps creeping in. and its crazy bc the thing is pretty much everything aside from the medical bill is already sorted out and being dealt with and i just have to wait it out. i just cant get over how stressed out i feel and thats whats holding me back from fixing things, leading to them getting worse. they increased my ocd medication but the pharmacy hasnt called me yet even after two days when usually they have it same day.

what is going on. im exhausted. i havent slept properly in like two years. i survive off chocolate chips and microwavables and vitamin supplements. i spend most days alone in my apartment sitting by the window on the computer. this is not living. this is not living. i am supposed to be outside talking to strangers. i am supposed to be making the mistakes of a young adult. i turn 20 in 10 days. i have not been able to stay sober longer than 3 days in a row. i have near-constant short term memory loss. my vision is fading. i cant stand. once a week i go to the park and run until my ribs hurt, which is only about 3 minutes. i wear dresses over my hairy legs and combat boots. i get boba tea and coffee and ice cream when i have 10 dollars in my bank account. why isn't it worth it to live a beautiful life? why is responsibility the beginning and end of my life? when do i get to fuck up without being incessantly punished for the rest of my life?

when i was 17 i came to the startling realization that when something bad happens to me, that is the punishment. before that, and even still, i believed that i had to endure the bad thing and then be punished for the fact that the bad thing even happened. then one day i spilled olive oil all over the kitchen counter and my father helped me clean it up and asked if i was ok. to this day it sticks out as a dream, as if something so kind could ever happen to me. and yet i feel like if i had not been treated with so much hostility, i never would have been radicalized the way i am today. i cant prove either way, but i know that the hostility i am constantly faced with is unwarranted. yet it continues, so what am i doing wrong? the answer is obviously everything.

writing this has calmed me down. i am one of the few who benefits from journaling, even performative journaling, which is what this website is based on. one day when i die just a little bit before my time, my now-bf future-husband will compile my unpublished writing and art and notebooks and tumblr posts into a chronicle of my life, and then i will finally be beautiful.

2 months on Lupron update

Had my first Lupron shot on September 15, that one was the 4-week dose

Had my second Lupron shot on October 17, that one is the 12-week dose

But no, no, my body can't do anything normal

Near the end of August, I started developing an ear problem, so I talked to 2 doctors from an over-the-phone, walk-in service, each said it sounded like a bacterial infection and each prescribed a round of oral antibiotics, which immediately stopped working the day after finishing them both

October 23 (6 days after Lupron dose increase), I wake up with a sore throat, stuffy nose, dry cough, and mild fever, which feels connected to my ear problems from August and September, so I talk to another doctor who says it was probably never a bacterial infection at all and was likely allergies or maybe even a virus, so he prescribes Omnaris and recommends taking Advil for the swelling, Tylenol for the pain and fever, and Reactine for the whole thing overall

I stock up on my silly little vegan ice creams bc my throat fucking hurts, man

The fever was only there for the first couple days and I sometimes randomly run a low-grade fever anyway, so whatever

After a few days, my throat and nose feel better, but now I've broken out in hives on my hands, feet, knees, and elbows and my dry cough has turned into a wet cough with a heavy feeling in my chest

So I call my nurse practitioner who prescribes Bricanyl and Alvesco

The hives aren't itchy or painful and I know from past experience that they don't really respond to treatment anyway, so we leave them to clear on their own

Now my lungs are better and the hives are gone but my right eye is flaring (pressure, pain, light sensitivity, irritation, blurring, nausea, etc.) and whatever's wrong with it might be spreading to the left one, so I called my ophthalmologist's office on November 18 and they said to watch it over the weekend, go to the ER if it gets bad, and call again on Monday if it's still acting up then

My eyes are getting a little bit better again, but I stocked up on liquids (juice, iced tea, chocolate milk, and Ensure) and shortbread (sometimes the only solid I can eat when my eye is flaring) while grocery shopping today just in case

And the whole first 2 or 3 weeks of this, my injection site keeps mildly hurting on and off, as if I've just had a fresh injection that day

So either I was having an immune issue made worse by Lupron, or it's coincidence that it happened so soon after the dose increase

Still trying to contact my gynecologist to see what she thinks about all this, but it's a two-woman show over there so it's easy for things to get lost or forgotten and I haven't heard back yet

To the people who have anxiety while ordering food or something.

I used to work at a cafeteria and now I work at Bubble tea. As a worker i can say i really don care what weird order you take, how long you make your decision or if you stutter. I don't get paid enough to care.

I am minding my own bussines thinking about a song, a netflix show, make plans, then I see someone, I come to the order spot. If the customer says thay haven't decided what they want yet or even just resises a hand in the "stop" gesture, I come back to what i was thinking about. I stay at the spot but I zoon out and think about what I will order for dinner, so take your time, I don't rush you.

If I make a face at your order, it's not bc I find it weird,it's bc I don't like the process of making it. Frappe for example. It requires crushing ice cubes in a blender, it's loud, hurts my ears and i don't like doing it.

If I ask you to repeat your order it's not bc I find it weird, it's because I couldn't hear you. The work place is loud usually and it's hard to understand somebody who talks very softly or is shy. It's also very awkward to ask "what?" for the third time like an idiot so just pleas repet loud and clear.

I'm not here to judge you, just to make you your drink. I swear nothing you order will shock me more then a guy who took a carmel & melon milk shake. I can't recover from that one. That was the only time I had to mask a laugh snore with a fake sneez.

If you feel the pressure to buy something after looking at the menu, chill. You don't have to order anything, you can just go away. The job requires a lot of stanfing and legs get tired after 8 hours so I appreciate the time when I can sit. If you order, i need to stend up and take your order. If you go away I can sit some more.

i giggle at him being just a normal data entry office working and him loving it bc it is simple easy and boring . excitement and unpredictability is smth he tires of lol

Corn cause its slippery not sticky so itll go down

Hot and cold packs like two of each make sure u keep cold ones in freezer when done -have two of each cause one on each side of throat helps/ for each ear cause those hurt too, thin hankies or somethin to hold em so not too hot/cold

hydratin drinks w electrolytes to make sure not dehydrated bc hard to eat or drink enough and if ur dehydrated ur scabs could bleed more

body armor has an electrolyte water too and get dif drinks so u dont get sick of em

i got a non-bpa popsicle mold with reusable popsicle sticks from target and filled it w electrolyte water for throat pain cause popsicles got too sweet but wish there was like a skinnier shape lol

popsicles and icees (without dairy cause dairy made it mucousy-er) for throat for a while - at least they were a skinny shape lol

theres this like personal like vapocool steamer humidifyer inhaler thing at cvs thats like 40$ :p but helpful for softening prickly dry peelin scabs that were bothersome but take out the menthol pads cause they were too intense !

ate mashed potato lasagna from store soup popsicle mac and cheese, corn, [egg salad in theory cause dont have to cook it if u buy it ! ] - they have instant mash potato in little packets that u just add boilin water, easy mach u just add water, canned corn and with tab on it to open the top so u dont have to find ur can opener - easier when ur alone!

throat coat tea

had ear and jaw pain but chewing gum helped with that!

had many headaches and hot packs helped

made some ice cubes to put in drinks if i didnt have cold ones at last minute or they werent cold enough to be helpful - silicone mold was easy to remove em

distraction helped to not think about pain

got liquid motrin/tylenol just in case of trouble swallowing

rotate motrin and tylenol every 4 hours - u can set alarms for during the night to take next doses if u dont wanna wake up with more pain

its day 8 and feelin a lot of improvement! Day 1 surprisingly didnt feel much but day like 2 til 6 had a lot of pain and night 1 when wakin up, tongue was very swollen, could barely talk and some trouble breathin ! I think just ate and drank cold stuff and took motrin but apparently if its too much u can call ur surgeon and he could prescribe u like anti-inflammatories to help lessen swelling
