Hi there. I’m gonna swallow my anxiety down and put this in an ask if that’s okay.
I saw the ask about voice claims and how someone contacted you about being interested in voicing Albin. And for a while now, I’ve been wanting to ask if I could express my interest in voicing Donna? I know I already did a brief thing with voicing her. But I’m wondering if it’s okay to do more with that?
I tried a couple months ago to message you on different platforms and they didn’t work out so I thought to leave it alone for a bit before I try again. The last thing I want to come across is an annoying fan barraging you with asks and all that. It’s just my stupid anxiety brain.
Thank you if you take the time to read this message!
Oh hey don't worry at all!!! Sorry I didn't get back to you on other platforms I've been really bad at checking DMs, sorry if it seemed like I ignored you!
And of course you may! I love when people do fanworks of my stuff, no need to ask for permission ^^ ✨
And the reason I really told people about someone being interested in voicing Albin is really only because I got so excited since the guy is a professional voice actor so I couldn't hold it in 🙉 but that doesn't mean he has been jinxed or anything and also I haven't planned to make anything official with voice acting yet! No need to worry, I'm looking forward to hearing it :D especially since Donna actually talks in this chapter lol 😂

𝐅𝐑𝐔𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐒
anon asked: 🍊 : does my muse desire romance? is it something they would actively seek out, or prefer to happen more ‘ naturally? ’ what is their love life like? do they have any exes or past flings, or crushes?
König: He doesn’t really give it too much thought, in all honesty. He’s had a few relationships in the past but they mostly fell through because of his work, constantly being away from home for too long and any passion that was there fizzling out as a result. If he were to find love he'd want it to happen naturally - dating apps and websites are bad at finding long term love, in his opinion, so he’d rather not use them. And, if he never ends up finding love, he doesn’t think he’d mind. His mother hasn’t dated anyone since he was born and she seems perfectly fine, if a little lonely - but loneliness is nothing new to him.

@watery-melon-baller I'm sorry lilac I deleted the ask from the angst prompt game a while back, just as I was trying to finally post it :(
Um, anyways, here's what I came up with. It's not your fandom (unless you join me :3 /j), but I hope it's still interesting enough without context ^-^ (the page break is so it doesn't take up too much space XD its a bit long with the way I formatted it)
The prompt was number 38. "Please stop hurting me. Please. Please stop." (I changed it a little to fit the character/scene)
---
“Shelby! I wrote a new song!”
No, no no no, this was such a bad time why’d he have to show up. She needed to- she had to- to-
“Ah, there you are! I was wondering where you were hiding in this big, twisty place.”
Not Oli. She couldn’t-
But she has to.
She doesn’t want to feel bad anymore.
She has to.
“I wrote a song about the tea party, would you like to hear it?”
Shelby gripped her scythe tighter.
“What am I saying! Of course you do, here, let me grab my lute-”
‘Don’t think, just do it!’
Shelby swung.
“Wha- Shelby, what are you doing-?!”
She cut him off, scythe slicing through the air (and his clothes, his skin oh gods-) and Oli squeaked as it came too close to his throat.
“Please- please don’t hurt me! I’ll- I’ll stop singing I swear-!” He was laying on the ground, looking up at her with scared, confused eyes, and Shelby felt... bad.
‘You’ll never feel bad again..’
“I’m sorry Oli.”
With one last slice with her scythe, she took it all away.
She took away his voice, his life, his head.
The sculk spread.
And she didn’t feel bad anymore.
She felt powerful.
Confident.
Good.
The tendrils of sculk curled around her limbs, welcoming her, embracing her.
A trilling chirp rippled out from the heart of the Evermoore.
And the swamp shuddered.

So, who’s gonna be my life-long hero and write about a steph/klay fic inspired by long live - taylor swfit especially with them winning the ‘22 championship?
I said “remember this moment”, in the back of my mind. The time we stood with our shaking hands, the crowds in stands went wild.
Thinking about the finals, realizing how big the moment is. The team huddle? Arms around each other? Yes.
We were the kings and the queens, and they read off our names
The player intros, thinking about how steph and klay are always called after the other? How steph never waits for them to call his name before running after klay, never wanting to be centered alone, always just a bit closer to klay.
You held your head like a hero on a history book page. it was the end of a decade, but the start of an age.
That heroic game 4 performance from steph to even the series 2-2 and how they said they dynasty is over with the young guys mixed with the vets but a new decade starts and the warriors won a championship again.
You traded your baseball cap for a crown
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When they gave us our trophies, and we held them up for our town
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the cynics were outraged, screaming “this is absurd”. ‘cause for a moment a band of thieves in ripped up jeans got to rule the world
I mean do we have to explain this, the warriors won the title again and the league is in shambles again. All time hate from other fanbases is incredible, but hey what you gonna do?
Hold on to spinning around, confetti falls to the ground
I KNOW THERE ARE NO CONFETTI WHEN THEY WON THE FINALS BECAUSE THEY WON AT THE CELTICS GROUND BUT GOD I WISH THERE WERE. I JUST CAN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS LINE AND THE FEELINGS I WOULD HAVE FOR THE MOMENT AND ALL THE EMOTIONS POURING OUT FROM STEPH AND KLAY.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Will you take a moment? Promise me this: that you’ll stand by me forever. But if, God forbid, fate should step in and force us into a goodbye.
Thinking about how they stayed together for more than a decade in a league where everything could happen, where in a quick snap a player gets sent to the other side of the country and never looking back. How loyal they are to each other. Remembering how the kevin love trade didn’t happen because i don’t know, steph and klay are soulmates. Bonded for life. Tied together. Splash brothers. Greatest backcourt of all time.
If you have children someday, when they point to the pictures..please tell them my name. Tell them how the crowds went wild, tell them how I hope they shine.
Imagine steph saying this to klay, like after some years where all of this comes to an end (and i hate myself just for thinking about this), where eventually klay has a family and children of his own and they are looking through thousands of old pictures from klay’s nba career and every single one of them, steph was just there. like he’s ALWAYS there. and he thinks of how his children squeals out “uncle steph!” as they point to a photo of steph doing a dumb celebration and egging the crowd on the bench for him, and he chokes up a little because now they just get to meet at most thrice in a year to play golf or attend a birthday and he realizes their lives could never ever be not-interrelated, is it? It would always be them in this lifetime although not in a way one would think it to be.
And I was screaming, “Long live all the magic we made”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s just them jumping around the stage like little kids, holding each other’s hands. Klay screaming “All we do is shoot threes, and win championships!” “i love you, brother!”
Long live the walls we crashed through.
I had the time of my life with you.

39, 41, 44 for your big brainscramble pairing! (@commanderhorncleaver)
Oh geez, at different times that's different folks alskjdfs--the two who have been on the brain the most recently are Ari and Cio. Going to grab this ask as a spot to talk about them! :D
39. If your OCs has/had a child, who would be the stricter parent?
Hmm, good question--Cio, if only because Ari would lean so far away from imitating the way she grew up in the fahrar that she'd struggle with how to discipline their kid at all.
41. What green flags do they have for one another?
My brain is putting this early on in their friendship long before they get together, so that's the context that these answers are in!
Cio re: Ari: she's willing to snark back and forth but is really not judgmental, she's dedicated to what she believes in, she'll listen and try to be open even if it's hard for her, she's kind
Ari re: Cio: she's flexible (I mean mentally flexible, not physically, shush), she believes in what she does and truly loves what she's working on, she cares a lot and will show it, she's easy to talk to
44. Who’s the better cook?
Oh geez, neither of them are the best at cooking xD Cio, maybe, if only because she does have practice roasting marshmallows without burning them. Ari knows how to throw snacks in a bag and go. They both do try to learn to cook together later on, but neither of them take to it particularly well.

In another life
Tumblr media
Pairing: Gojo x reader
Summary: Reader is transported to another dimension where nobody knows her.
Warnings: Language, mentions of blood and minor injury.
Hope you guys enjoy, I actually found this deep in my drafts and said what the hell and posted.
Next Part
It was just another typical day where Gojo and his students were walking to the destination of their next mission.
"Why do curses have to cause trouble on hot days, ugh what a pain" Nobara groaned shielding her eyes from the scorching sun.
"I told you to bring a hat" Yuji pointed out, somehow unbothered by the tortuous weather.
"But hats are so tacky!"
"Then don't complain" Megumi sighed annoyed as usual.
"Don't worry, we can get some nice cold ice cream after we exorcise the curse, in fact I know the best spot! It's a little hole in the wall place but they have the best- huh?"
Gojo suddenly whipped around at the sudden burst of curse energy he sensed.
"What the hell is that?!" Yuji shouted as he stared at a hole crackling in the sky getting bigger and bigger.
"Not sure, but I don't like what I'm sensing. Everyone be ready..”
"Right" they all tensed and got into attack positions.
What they didn't except though was to see a head pop out of the warp, followed by a body. A woman seemingly limp, began to plummet from the warp. Which promptly closed the second she had left.
"What the hell?" Nobara squinted trying to figure out if the figure looked dangerous.
Gojo didn't feel any malicious energy anymore now that the warp had vanished so he sprung into action and caught the woman before she became a pile of mush on the ground.
"Sensei what if shes dangerous?" Yuji frowned.
"Hm" he kneeled down still holding the woman. He eyed down her figure. She had some scratches and a few bruises but other than that she seemed ok...
So what was a human doing falling through a warp in the sky.
"I don't believe shes a threat, not that I can sense anyway..."
"The energy from that warp felt seriously freaky" Nobara shivered.
Gojo was about to respond when a glint made him freeze. His brows furrowed when he grabbed the girls hand and brought it closer to his face. Now that was definitely peculiar…
"Mm" the group suddenly all jerked to the form now rousing in Gojos arms.
The womans eyes began to open slowly. It took them a moment to adjust to the light but then when they were fully open they suddenly became full of life.
"Eh?! What happened??" Her eyes widened as she looked around, becoming aware of her surroundings. "T-toru!!" No one was more shocked than Gojo as the woman launched her arms around their teacher as if her life depended on it.
"Are you alright? He didn't hurt you did he? Ah Of course he didn’t what am I saying…?! I-I'm sorry you had to come save me again, I don't know how he even snuck up on me!" the woman pulled back only a bit to face him, but still held on. "I promise you can train me as hard as you want from now on and I won't complain anymore"
(From now on you are the woman)
You paused noticing his bewildered expression. "What Is it Toru?"
"Um… not to sound rude or anything but….who are you?”
Your face twitched in shock, "Um Toru, now really isn't the time for jokes you know" you pouted slightly.
It was when he took your arms off of him that you felt something was majorly off.
"I assure you I'm not joking" he gently pushed you off and you shakily got to your feet and so did he.
"I don't...I don't understand...Toru, what do you mean you don't know me?" You tried to quell the panic that was rising. Surely he was just playing a prank right?? Right?!?
"You know who I am it seems…" he stated, eying you curiously.
"Know who you- Satoru Gojo if this is a joke you better stop it right now or I swear I'm going to eat all the kikifuku you brought back yesterday! It's not nice to confuse me after being so close to death you know!!"
He only quirked a brow at this, "Listen lady, you just fell from a hole in the sky, If anyones confused its us..."
This caught your attention, "Wait…What did you say?"
"He's right, you fell from this big hole in the sky miss. It closed right away after you came through". Your eyes drew to the new voice and you realized the others were here too.
"Yuji..." his eyes widened and he pointed to himself, "You know me?"
You felt your panic rise more, "Of course I know you! All of you, Megumi, Nobara you're all like family to me, why don't you know who I-" you froze. A cold fear overtaking you. The hole. His technique. You got caught up in it. You weren't saved. Satoru hadn't made it in time.
"I t-think, I u-um" you felt your breathing begin to quicken and forming words seemed impossible.
"I t-think I got t-t-transported by the curse I was f-fighting" you felt your whole body shaking and tried to control your breathing.
"Hey calm down, we'll figure things out soon enough" you stepped back abruptly knowing what that tone and outstretched hand meant.
"D-don't knock me out, you promised you wouldn't do it anymore.." although you supposed that this Gojo had no idea.
He seemed troubled at what to do but sighed a moment later.
"For now why don't we just head back to the school..." you reguarded him for a moment then hesitantly shook your head.
"Alright..." you silently followed everyone, feeling more nervous with every silent step.
The quiet was maddening and you were grateful that Yuji spoke up finally, probably becoming aware of your borderline panic attack "Don't worry, weird things are always happening here. We'll figure whatever this is out ok?" You managed to crack a little tired smile.
"Yeah".
*************************************************
Of the many times you had been sat across Yaga, this was the first time you were ever intimidated.
"Start from the beginning" was all he said as you fidgeted in discomfort. Gojo stood beside Yaga, leaning back on the wall, while Yaga sat imposing as if he was dealing with a curse.
You took a deep breathe and recalled what had happened just before all this madness.
"Well I was just leaving my house to go to the school... I recieved a message saying I needed to report there immediately and I didn't hesitate, thinking maybe something bad had happened...but on the way I was attacked by a curse. I'm not really much of a fighter but I am a little skilled at barriars, so I was able to shield myself against his attacks. The curse became frustrated when he realized he couldn't land a major hit and before I knew it he had sent a huge blast in my direction. I shielded but it didn't matter, I remember feeling really hot and then the next thing I knew I was waking up in Satoru’s arms..."
You peeked at Yaga and saw he was deep in thought. Finally after painful silence he finally spoke, "This curse you fought, what did it look like?"
"He looked kinda like that tree curse thing that the kids fought back at the exchange event, except his presence was..." it was then something struck you. You recall feeling something was off the entire fight. Something oddly familiar and it had just hit you what that was. The smell the energy the odd aura.
"Wait…” both men perked up at this.
"What is it?"
"That's why he felt so familiar!" you said more to yourself in your horror.
"Who are you talking about?"
"The curse...he felt familiar because I've sensed that same presence before..."
They waited for you to continue, "Back when Toru and Megumi first recovered that cursed object...and had me place an extra seal on it...but Toru never mentioned it was stolen? Why didn't he say anything...unless it wasn't stolen but then how did he get unseal- shit"
You ran a hand over your face, "You were right about the spy after all Toru..."
"How can you know all this- the exchange event, who we are, private information if we don't even know who you are?” Yaga eyed you suspiciously.
"I think I can answer that" all eyes snapped to Gojo.
"You mentioned a curse being unsealed, one that megumi and I brought in correct?"
You nodded
"Its a just a theory but I have a hunch I'm correct, tell me, what was the curses name?"
"Ah um...lemme think, it was definitely...uh...ama...amamoo, amamee, uh wait...."
"Amamotetsu?" Gojo offered which promptly made Yaga flinch in shock.
"Yeah that's it!" You jumped up.
"Amamotetsu-! But how?!" Yaga tensed shooting up.
"I'm not sure how he got unsealed but...this isn't the first time I've heard this type of thing happening before.."
This caught your attention, "What do you mean?"
"When Megumi and I first retrieved the curse, we teamed up with Nanami. He was the one who told us about this curse's history... apparently this particular curse is known for transcending through times and universes-"
"W-what?" You felt your body slump down. What did that mean?? Did that mean you- that you were in a different universe?! How-what- you felt your whole body begin to shake.
This was the first time Yaga seemed to let down his guard because he now was beginning to understand you weren't a threat.
You felt something warm being placed on your shoulders. You looked up at Yaga through blurred lenses.
"Yaga..." your voice broke as did the dam holding back your tears... how could this have happened?! What were you even supposed to do?! And Satoru, what was he even going through now?!"
"Listen, theres no need to panic, we'll figure it out alright?" He assured you, but it wasn't quite the same knowing he didn't know you." You nodded anyway.
"Satoru, why don't you call Nanami, we'll see what more he can tell us...in the meantime it would help if we knew some more about you and the curse." You nodded and braced yourself for the onslaught of questions.
"First off, it's quite clear you're close to us, so are you a teacher here or something?" You a teacher? If you weren't so upset you'd laugh
"Teacher? No, I actually work in the city..but I do help out occasionally at the school when I'm needed.."
"So then how did you get involved with us in the first place?" you looked over to where Satoru was finishing the call with Nanami.
"Well...Satoru helped me fight off a curse one time, that's how we met. He basically saved me and then convinced me to train with him...since then I've always kinda been around.." you twiddled with the ring on your finger, more specifically the ring he gave you on that special day.
Yaga must've of noticed your hesitance. "Something tells me there's more to the story.." you looked up with sad eyes, then over to where satoru was also now tuned in, phone in his pocket. You took a deep breathe.
"No it's just, it's finally sinking in ya know..." you decided to keep that part about your relationship quiet for now. You were already overwhelmed and just wanted to lie down for awhile. Your injured although mild still hurt and you were now feeling the true exhaustion settle in.
Yaga looked at you sympathetically then nodded, "Why don't you rest for little, Satoru?" He got off the wall, "Nanami will come by tonight, for now I'll take her to Shoko. Yaga nodded then patted your shoulder gently, "Try to get some sleep, we'll figure all this out" you thanked him quietly then followed Satoru out the room.
You quietly trailed behind him in the dim hallway. His back had never made you feel so lonely.
You didn't even realize you were crying until you felt the coldness on your cheeks. Satoru pasued a sec to turn around.
"Hey, there's no need for tears, didn't you hear us? We'll figure it out"
You nodded despondently.
"C'mon, have I ever let you down before?" He smirked.
You smirked through the tears, "Always so confident, no matter what universe huh" you wiped away your tears with your sleeve and walked next to him.
"Well I am the strongest, I'm sure any other version of me would no doubt be the same"
"Yeah maybe arrogant is the better word.."
"Awe don't be mean now, after all for you to be so casual around me, we must be friends yeah?"
"Yeah you could say that..." you absentmindedly twirled the ring around your finger. Remembering the way he proposed all those years ago.
"And here we are, Shoko!” He called busting inside without knocking.
"How many times have I told you not just to barge in here?”
"Well it's an emergency of sorts"
"Huh?" She finally looked up from her work.
You waved shyly.
"And who's this?"
"Well now that's a bit complicated..."
**************************************************
"Take it easy alright, and if you need anything here's my cell"
"Thanks Shoko, oh wait my phone!" You suddenly remembered and frantically patted your body down.
You sighed in relief pulling out the device, seemingly unharmed by some miracle.
But then your brows furrowed seeing the blue case instead of your own and a sticky note with a tongue sticking out. *Bring this to me at work will you baby, then I can see your beautiful face*
You felt your irritation rise, "Of all the days Satoru you had to switch our phones today!? Ugh" you ripped off the note, usually you loved these little pranks but now you wanted to kill him.
"Huh what did I do?"
"Sorry not you, other you.." you clicked the on button and tried a variety of passwords.
Dammit satoru
"Wait is that my phone?" He peered over your shoulder.
You perked up, "yeah it is! Do you know the password?”
"Hmm lemme try" he grabbed it out of your hands and you waited anxiously.
"Got it"
"Wait really?!"
"Yep, All great gojos think alike-" he suddenly froze.
"What's wrong?" You eyed him curiously but he just stared at his phone dumfoundedly.
"How close did you say we were again...?"
Shoko curious leaned over and her eyes went wide.
"What do you mean, what are you looking at?" You moved next to him and gasped at the saved screen. A picture of you asleep in bed in something strappy, barely covered by the sheets and toru leaned over kissing your cheek.
"AH DON'T LOOK" you tried snatching the phone away but he held It above his head.
Ugh his stupid tallness!!
"Satoru wait!" You reached helplessly as he started scrolling through his camera roll. You were mortified to learn that most of them were candid shots of you. Some appropriate and some not.
You excersizing bent over, your sillohette behind the shower curtain, you licking a lollipop, you wearing a shirt of his on laundry day…
"Geez were you stalking her or something" shoko commented disturbed.
"Satoru! please!" Finally he let you snatch the phone back. Your face hotter than the sun.
"So I guess that's what you were hiding..."
you sighed knowing you couldn't keep it hidden much longer.
"I guess that explains a little why you have my grandmothers ring..”
this got your attention.
"Wait what??" Your eyes widened.
"This is you're grandmothers ring?!"
"You mean you didn't know...?" Shoko asked.
"No...you just gave it to me, but you never said it was hers" You felt a rush of warmth knowing how much she meant to him. Probably the only member of his clan that actually cared for him. Sadly she passed when he was young. The truth is this was the ring he gave you when he proposed- or more like told you he was gonna marry you and you didn't have a choice- not that you were gonna say no to the cocky idiot.
"So what's your relationship with other Gojo then?" Shoko asked.
"Well uh...that's a little...." You hesitated wondering if you should say.
"Might as well say it, I mean obviously other me and you are pretty close" he motioned to the phone.
sigh
here goes
"I guess some might say...well if you look at it one way...um... I guess legally and technically other you, and me are what some might call...married"
"What no way?! Gojo actually settled down!?”
“Hey don’t sound so surprised! Although to be honest.. I’m finding that a little hard to believe myself..”
“Well you weren’t exactly a one woman guy when I met you..”you recalled all his various flings in the time before you were dating.
“The other me must be worried then huh?”
I sigh, “I wonder if you’ve figured out what happened yet..”
“Don’t worry, I’m really smart, there’s no way I wouldn’t know”
“Cocky bastard” I let out a tired laugh.
BZZZT BZZZT BZZZT
“Huh?”
“Wait is other gojos phone ringing?”
“Yeah it says “Wifey is calling..”
“What no way!? How?!” I jump to grab the phone and answer the call. Not knowing really what to expect. Maybe the tower got mingled weirdly.
“H-hello??” I call out anxiously.
“Y/n? Where are you!?”
“T-Toru!!!” I can’t help but cry out.
“Are you ok? What happened?? Why can’t I sense your energy in the city?”
“T-Toru I was attacked on the way to the school! I think that curse- amamama got free and he sent me to another dimension!!!”
“Babe..have you been drinking?”
“I’m serious Toru! That curse! The one you and Megumi brought for me to add a seal to! He sent me to another dimension! I’m here with another version of you!!”
“…is this payback for because I said your ass got bigger? Because you know I meant that as a compliment.”
“Y-you idiot!! I’m serious!!”
“No kidding? You’re being serious?”
“Would I joke about something like this?”
“… hold on a sec” a woosh sound emits from the speaker
“Shit..”
“Toru?”
“I just transported to the road. I can sense the residual energy…I see blood, were you hurt?” He sounds more serious now.
“I’m ok.. Shoko fixed me up..”
“So what…you’re in a dimension parallel to ours?”
“Not exactly… I guess I don’t exist here.. or at least I’m not apart of everyone’s lives..”
“…don’t worry alright? I’ll figure this out, have I ever let you down?”
I give this gojo a knowing look,
“Never.”
“Plus my birthdays coming up, and you promised to do that thing I like as much as I want so how can I let you be in another dimension for too long?”
“Ah Toru you’re on speaker you know!!”
“Hey other me you there?!” Your gojo suddenly shouted.
“Uh yep I’m here..”
“This is definitely a first.. ahem well anyway until I get this sorted out take care of our girl alright?!She’s pretty weak so keep an ey-“
“Hey!”
“As I was saying, keep an eye on her. Also make sure she gets iron pills from the pharmacy since hers are here. Oh and she’s allergic to tuna and if she stays out in the sun too long she’ll get this weird rash-“
“I’m hanging up” you reached for the button.
“Hey cmon I’m not there-well I’m kind of there but I just wanna make sure my baby is taken care of!!”
“I’m an adult not a child! You don’t need to say all these things, I can take care of myself here just fine!!”
“Pfft says the one who made me transport home in the middle of a mission to kill a cockroach.”
“IT HAD WINGS”
“Alright alright, I know you’re a big girl. Let me go so I can figure this all out quickly and get you back.”
“Yeah..ok”
“Hey, no crying ok?”
“Ok.. I guess I’ll talk to you later? We are meeting Nanami here because he has knowledge about the curse apparently. I’ll let you know how that goes..”
“Alright, later then.”
“Love you Toru…”
“Not as much as I love me”
“Pfft asshole”
“Heh, there’s that laugh I love so much. love ya sweetheart, be careful ok?”
“I will”
*click*
For the first time since your arrival you felt some relief.
You awkwardly looked up to the pair and found Shoko dumbfounded and satoru scratching the back of his head.
“Still can’t believe it…”
“Um well that was definitely a first…”
“So what now?” Shoko took a drag seeming bored already.
“Now we go and see if Nanami can make sense of this. Come on, he’s waiting for us.” He motioned and you followed with a bit more hope now.
The power of two Gojos with one goal? Yeah you’d be home before you knew it.
Should I continue this? Make it into a series? Lemme know:) thanks for reading!

— of lies and empty promises.
pairing: Aemond Targaryen x Strong! Reader.
trope: something between star-crossed lovers and friends x enemies.
synopsis: while you enjoy a pleasant afternoon together, the differences between your families begin to make their way into your friendship, giving rise to moments of discontent between both young highnesses.
word count: 1.4k
warnings: Young Aemond and reader. I would believe there is no more warnings. Only Aemond is a tad bit possessive, jealous, and manipulative. Perhaps.
an: I've had this story saved in drafts since season 1 ended, but I've been neglecting it. Now, after seeing how hot handsome Aemond looks in the season 2 trailer, my fixation is back and so is my desire to publish this. This is something like a small introduction to what I have planned, so please, if you are interested, stay tuned for the next chapters!
Tumblr media
You and Aemond were resting under the shade of the weirwood, with the sunlight filtering through its branches and red leaves. It was the most tranquil place in the Red Keep, ideal for doing nothing but enjoying a well-deserved rest after a day full of study and sword training, and as it was a rather warm summer afternoon, the mood was truly pleasant.
"I wish every day were this peaceful," you commented as you lay on the grass. "I would spend my entire life here if I knew no one would dare bother me. Can you imagine? Just lying in the sun, with no one behind rushing us to our lessons. And so, perhaps we could spend more time together."
"As far as I am aware, no one keeps you from my company," Aemond replied as he lay down next to you, palms flat on his stomach, legs crossed.
His comment made you frown: was he playing the fool, or was he really oblivious to certain glances? While shading your eyes from the sun with one hand, you tilted your face towards him before responding. "Oh, but they do, they sure do. I bet you know it is so."
"Oh, and by whom?" he inquired with a mischievous grin, one that vanished as soon as he heard the answer to his own question.
"The Queen."
Oh now that made him roll his eyes.
It was an immediate reaction, as Aemond was more than used to hearing you refer to his mother as if she were an impediment to your friendship, being that she never raised any objection despite her own opinions regarding Rhaenyra's children.
And how could she not have them? It was more than clear to him not only the truth hidden behind his mother's suspicions, but also how they were much more than mere prejudices towards the Princess.
"As I have told you countless times before," he said, not bothering to hide the subtle hint of frustration he felt at bringing up the issue again. "My mother holds no grudge against you."
"Then maybe her face hasn't caught on," you countered. "Or have you not seen how she scowls upon seeing me?"
"Believe me, you are not the source of her complaints. Mother spends more time grumbling about your brothers than about you, and rightfully so. They are fiends. You are not to deny it."
But to you it didn't seem such a far-fetched idea. You were about to argue once more, but then suddenly refrained from voicing your own opinion on the matter. You knew Aemond's position; how he preferred to turn a deaf ear and therefore often dismissed the matter. After all, what could the Queen do? She was not going to succeed in separating you both when the King was more than delighted with your bond.
Moreover; was it really worth arguing? It would do nothing but sour things between you two, something you feared greatly, for you held Aemond in high regard.
"Do as you wish," you replied. You did not want to interrupt the peaceful mood with reminders of the many quarrels that prevailed in your family, and so as usual, you decided to remain silent and put the whole matter aside. Still, your discontent showed on your face. "I was only expressing my desire to spend each day as I do now. I wish my only duty was to lie here and take a nap."
Aemond chuckled. "I fail to see where I fit in."
"I m afraid you are too irritating to be a part of it."
"Well, that is rather unkind of you. And selfish, I would say, as I want to be included anyhow," Aemond retorted stubbornly.
As he sat now with his hands on his knees, he looked at you with a determination unbecoming of someone his age, for not even men sounded as certain when they chose their greatest pursuits. But in Aemond's eyes, at nothing but ten years old, there wasn't a hint of doubt when he said, "Every time I imagine where I wish to be, you are by my side. Even in my dreams I relish in your company. I believe it is only fair that I am part of your ambitions and yearnings too, would you not think so? I would like it that way."
"But I never asked for such a thing," you replied. "Why am I to even consider it? I want my dreams to be my own, and not shared with anyone else. Dreams are one's own thing after all. So I wonder, why share them with me?"
"Because I love you, of course," Aemond answered you without further regard. "And if you love me as much, you must include me in yours, for not to do so means our friendship is not as important to you as it is to me," he added that last bit with a hint of playfulness.
You then turned to look at him. "Not as important?"
How confusing. It should bother you to hear him claim such a thing, for after all, were you not the one who had always defended him from the ill-treatment of your brothers? Were you not the one who had shown him unconditional affection despite the growing differences between your family? Were you not the one who, even in these moments, and as hard as it was not to, had never been upset with him? For even when you were accused of loving him less or branded as egotistical, you worried that those concerns were far more than harmless banter.
"Of course I love you as much. I would say more, even."
Aemond's smile widened, as he had expected such an answer. "And yet, it is I who always has you in mind. Who loves whom the most, then?"
"Me," you wanted to say. But was love not too big a concept for such young people?
You were taken aback. Not because the answer would be disheartening, and certainly not because you doubted the extent of your affection for him, quite the opposite: for one as young as yourself, the dephts of your feelings frightened him.
Then, instead of answering his question, you sat up, wiped the dust from your hands on your robes, and with sudden curiosity asked, "And what is that dream of yours, pray tell? I reckon it is no more mind-boggling than mine, where I gorge myself in lemon tarts as I ride the Black Dread."
Aemond snickered at your comment, but his words sounded a bit too serious to be a jest when he uttered them. "Well of course it is simpler. It is just about…"
"Your highness," a voice interrupted him.
A handmaiden approached from the opening, looking somewhere between hurried and delighted, something that intrigued you as much as it annoyed Aemond, who hoped this interruption would be brief so he could resume his comment. After a bow, however, he found her words rather daunting.
"Your mother sends for you, your highness. She wishes to introduce you to a new brother," the woman announced, which caught your attention so much it made you forget all about your previous conversation with him.
"My mother, you said?" you beamed before you pushed yourself up from the ground in no time, dusted off your clothes and bade Aemond farewell with such haste he could barely make out an "excuse me" as you and the handmaiden walked away.
He watched you as you ran ahead of her, clearly excited to meet what awaited you in your mother's chambers. As for him, he remained seated under the tree for a few seconds longer, a hint of jealousy souring his smile as his brow furrowed.
What a pleasant afternoon you were having so far. And yet again, your siblings always seemed to interrupt you both, even if they were not doing so directly. Will he ever be free of the burden of kinship?
How you could choose your brothers was beyond him. Was he not the one who often amused you? He had always considered himself closer to you than Jacaerys and Lucerys, but what was it about those bastards that always pulled you away from him nonetheless? And now there was a third!
Were his concerns correct then? Did he love you more than you loved him? But no, the very idea seemed so absurd it brought a scornful laugh from him.
You would never dare choose them over him!
"Damn them," he exclaimed before standing up as well. There was no use in staying here now that he was alone.

I'll always miss you, you will shine like gold in my memory.
Zhongli x Reader
Wc: 2.7k
Warnings: Angst, hurt no comfort, reader dies. Toxic relationship, Morax is an idiot brute, this is set in the Archon war, reader is a warrior.
A/n: I had this draft written here a while ago, decided to post it because it's one I really like. As the old Morax is described as a more rough and ruthless person, I imagine that for him to change there had to be a major event. And so I ended up writing this, maybe I'll do another ending because I genuinely don't like sad endings, but it went together so well I decided to leave it like this.
Tumblr media
"Morax, please listen to me." And there you were, in one of those endless fights with your husband.
The reason this time was that you had found a group of people, begging for a place to stay, since they were wandering around. This group had been exiled from Sumeru, the reasons were not yet clear, nor did they know why. There were children, elders, even young pregnant women, you couldn't just ignore them and let them die.
And you had offered them a home in the Guili Plains, the place where the Liyue population was housed. But Morax did not accept, nor did he seem to want to change his mind.
"I've said what I think, and I'm not going to change it." And he didn't even look at you, on the contrary, he walked even faster to distance more from you.
"Can you stop being so irreverent?" You quicken your steps and stand in front of him, stopping him from moving forward.
He narrowed his eyes in your direction, his face turning into an angry frown, "I told you, don't make me repeat myself. If you choose to save those people, you can forget about coming back. I don't want you around." His words were sharp as blades, wounding as such.
And seeing his face without a drop of expression, without a single regret. How could he say such impactful things as if they were nothing?
"How can you talk like that? I'm your spouse, I'm just trying to help." You could already feel tears forming in your eyes, he always acted like a brute, but there were times you couldn't even handle it.
"You can help me by protecting my people, not by harboring strangers." The coldness with which he spoke to you was abysmal, it didn't even seem like you had any kind of relationship.
"They are people too, they have feelings too. They are afraid to die, they are simply out in the open."
"I care what's mine, we're in a war, we can't save everyone. And I chose to take care of what is mine, my territory together with my people". He states, with that usual stoic face. With that arrogance and selfishness that would drive anyone crazy with rage.
"So that's still a no?" Breathing heavily you ask him one last time, the hope you had of him giving in had simply vanished.
"It was always a no. If you're going to keep talking about it, you can save both your time and mine." Snide and sharp, he never seemed to change.
"Then you won't want me here anymore, I suppose." To his surprise, you wouldn't give up. You would keep your word no matter what.
"Go ahead." Nothing more, not a sentimentality, nothing. Just treating you like you were just another one of his pawns, like you were just another one in the crowd.
A hot tear ran down your face, your heart burning as if it had been recently scalded.
"Are you really going to treat me like this? Like I'm nothing to you, and this ring means nothing?" You removed the ring, holding it with trembling hands.
The engagement ring, which he had made for you himself, was so beautiful. With jade detailing all over the ring, and even more precious was the message it had, 'It will always be you'. According to him, it was to show how much you meant to him.
And now? Were those beautiful words just thrown to the wind?
He huffed, looking incredibly upset and tired of this situation, but he didn't show you anything, he wasn't sad, sorry, guilty, nothing. As if none of this mattered.
"Have it your way." Completely indifferent he mumbles.
"Okay." You threw the ring away, without even looking at where it went," If it meant nothing to you, it meant nothing to me."
Now he seemed to take some notice of you, but was clearly displeased.
But there was no time for him to talk or complain to you, you ran out of there. He wanted to go after you, but the pride he carried in his chest was stronger.
A feeling of guilt invaded his heart, but he still wouldn't let his feelings get the better of him, because he believed that you would go back on your decision.
You wouldn't exchange him for a group of people you barely know, but that was exactly the point he didn't understand. It wasn't that he wouldn't help you, it was the way he dealt with certain issues. He was so focused and objective, that should be good, but it wasn't the case with him.
He always complained that you think too much about others, just as you complain that his behavior is often harsh and hostile. He believed that you would come back, but he was wrong, very wrong.
it had been three weeks since you had even dared to look at each other. He couldn't swallow his pride, and neither could you. That arrogance and selfishness he possessed could get on anyone's nerves, and you were not immune to it.
No matter how many times you tried to make him understand that things were not practical as he claimed they were, he would never understand, he was a real brute.
And that was the last straw for you, people were not objects that he could control as and when he wanted, and he didn't seem to want to understand that.
You had left the village, and had no desire to return. You had tucked yourself away in a simpler hut and in a place you suspected Morax wouldn't go near. Even though you loved him so much, you doubted if he would ever change.
It was so many doubts mixed with the anger you felt about the things he said, you took it out on the monsters you met in front of you, without letting a single one escape.
With quick and precise blows, you used your blade with an unmistakable dexterity. But even this was not enough for what would happen next. A monster that you didn't even know what it was hit you, and ended up hurting you.
You didn't even know where it came from, you didn't even have time to react. Your body heaved and you fell to the grass abruptly, as you felt a sharp pain run through your entire body.
And when you managed to stabilize yourself and look at the monster, it was no longer there. It had already turned to dust.
"You with this stubbornness. You can't even take care of yourself." From the familiarity in his voice, it wasn't hard to guess that it was your husband.
"Shut up." You mustered the strength to speak, it seemed as if your strength was draining away second by second.
Even in such a state, the weakness and frailty you were in didn't seem to make any commotion in Morax.
"If you knew you wouldn't be like this." So cold, so distant. Every word of his hurt so much.
How could he be so indifferent? So cruel.
"You won't even see your spouse? You won't even try to take care of me?" Even though you tried to sound strong and imposing, all that came out was a shaky, tired voice.
"I'm no specialist in this. Go find help somewhere else, I told you I don't want you around." It wasn't just anger, it was a feeling of someone who had been defied, you hadn't followed his orders, and he was hating you for it.
You had traded him, that's what he had in mind, but you didn't leave because of that. You loved him like crazy, and you had helped him in many ways. But he still needed to think more about others, trust humans more.
To learn to understand that people were not just pawns that he moved when and how he wanted, it was far from that. And now he was experiencing the fact that someone might not follow his orders, and that someone was you.
He went to look over his shoulder one last time, as he began to notice a pool of blood starting to form around you, he hurried his steps over to you.
"I have to take you, the healers will help." Bending down close to you he whispers. The sudden change in behavior that soon showed his desperation.
"You know they won't, there's nothing else to do." You couldn't control the tear that welled up in your eye.
It had been a very deep wound, you didn't need any healer to tell you that you were hopeless, the village was far away, there would be no time to get there. Several other warriors had died like this, and it would be no different with you.
His stoic expression turned to one of terror, his pride gone in a matter of minutes.
"Don't talk foolishness." He nestles you in his arms, carrying you so gingerly that it seemed he was afraid of hurting you with the slightest touch.
"Leave me here," he opened his mouth to protest, and you continued, "Please."
He propped you up on his chest, wrapping you in the clothes of his own body, so that you were properly protected.
"Why are you so stubborn? I can't understand you." For the first time you heard him speak in a broken voice, he was trying not to cry.
"I just want to save time, you know you don't have much to do." You gently caress his face.
He wanted to tell you so much, but he couldn't put it into words, ever.
"I shouldn't have acted like that." Finally, he admitted it. But now it was too late for any regrets.
You intertwined your fingers with his, smiling faintly. He could feel your strength fading little by little, and he could do nothing.
You were too fragile, just like all humans. And he could do nothing.
Nothing.
He couldn't believe it, how could a being as powerful as him be so powerless like that? That shouldn't be right, but it was.
"Please stay." He pleads, but how could you fulfill that request? His voice was so shaken it sounded almost unrecognizable.
For the first time he was losing one of his partners, he had always protected them all as best he could, and none of them had gone so far. But the first was you, his first big loss was you. How would he be able to handle it? No, he couldn't.
"I will never forget your eyes, they are so beautiful." You say softly, almost inaudible.
And he let a tear escape, all the armor he had made in his heart had broken, and he couldn't control it. It was the love of his life leaving, all he could do was watch, how could he be so useless at a time like this?
"Stay, keep your eyes open, I'll get help, I'll…" Not even he himself believed his own words, much less believed that you could save yourself.
He felt so much guilt, how could he have been so negligent? He had never been very sentimental, but now he felt it all at once.
He could hardly describe his exact feeling, because he had no exact feeling. Now he understood all the human emotions you spoke of, a pity he could only understand now, on your deathbed.
The birds were singing, it was a beautiful day, the sun had the most beautiful glow. And yet Morax was there, on the grass with you in his arms, crying in despair like never before. The blood that stained the green of the vegetation, and the pain that remained impregnated in Morax's soul.
And then, like one of those tricks played by fate, everything fell silent. Morax sobbed softly, and made one last plea, "Don't leave me, I really care for you. I love you, stay here." He held your hand tightly, seeing how small it was compared to his.
It was the first time he had been that clear, he had never really opened his heart to you, a shame that the first time he said 'I love you', you were no longer there to hear it.
And as soon as he realized it, a faint cry was all that came out of Morax's mouth, followed by an audible sob. He realized that you died there, nestled in his arms, holding his hand, so angelic.
His beloved had left him, eternally.
Tumblr media
Millennia had passed since your death, 3.800 years to be exact. Yet this hurt Morax so much that he was never able to forget you.
Even though he left the Archon life aside, now going by another name, Zhongli, and leading a more modest life as a simple Liyue citizen, the memories he had with you were vivid, shining like gold in his memory.
He martyred himself every day, he blamed himself, a guilt that he would never be able to eliminate from his chest, he would give everything, even his life for you to come back.
And today this feeling was stronger than ever, because it was the day of your death, the day you left him alone in this world. Another year had passed, and even so it seemed like yesterday when you died, at least that's how Morax felt.
And as he did every year, he bought your favorite flowers, picked them carefully to make sure that you would like them. Plus he provided the wine of his choice, it was the only thing that made his mind clear on a day like this, even if he wasn't very used to all that drinking.
When he was ready, he went to your tomb, which was made in the Guili Plains, the place where everything began, and also where everything ended. He always kept your grave clean, after all he visited you every day, no matter how hectic his routine could be, he would always come to your grave daily.
"I missed you, my dear." He says these words to the wind, anyone passing by would think he was crazy, but he didn't care.
He always spent hours talking to you, talking about everything that had changed, and how he had changed. He always thought that no matter where you were, you could always hear him.
Gently he put the flowers on the grave, and sat down on the floor, while pouring himself some wine. "I just wanted to remind you that I love you, more than anything else."
On a day like today, he wouldn't even try to hold back the tears, or the pain in his chest. He caught himself thinking how proud you would be to see the progress Liyue had made, how beautiful the city looked now.
He wanted to show you that he understood what you said in the last minutes of your life, he wanted to show you that you had become a better person. This was due to a great influence of yours, who now was not here to accompany him on this journey.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry for everything I did, my beloved. You would think it magnificent the way everything has progressed, how humans could achieve so much." His voice choked, his face red as the tears came down without stopping.
'His beloved' , was so sweet when it came out of his lips, but so melancholy by the look in his eyes, those gentle golden eyes that expressed so much sorrow.
A love ended in such a way could hurt so much, and Morax knew it. He had experienced it so harshly, but he stood firm to keep the nation you two had fought so hard for standing, and he would keep fighting because he thought it was the way to repay you for all you had done for him.
Every time he remembered you crumbling in his arms, his heart squeezed in such a way. Your face paled along with your frail body, looking as if it would break at any moment. And with that he remembered how much he missed you in his arms, your laughter, the warmth of your body, your beautiful face.
He missed it all, and remembered these moments bitterly, but also joyfully, because he remembered when you were still with him.
He would protect the people at all costs, and keep everything safe as long as he was alive, he would watch over everything you believed in. He would gladly do this for the rest of his days.
Now all he could do was wait, wait for him to take his last breath. And then finally, finally he could meet you, and tell you everything that happened during those years.

Trembling
Din Djarin x Reader
summary: It was truly the end for Din Djarin when he saw the fear in your eyes.
Tumblr media
author’s note: Hi! I’ve never quite finished this, but I just found it in my drafts and thought I’d share this little angsty piece! Have fun :)
You didn’t feel all the emotions you were supposed to feel, the feelings that you expected to flow through your body. You were waiting for your heart to clench in your chest, for the sinking feeling in your stomach and for the tears to start flowing out of your eyes.
You expected to feel something, anything, but merely numbness overtook your mind. It was as if your own mind didn’t want to accept what had just happened, wanted to push all those memories out of it and just move on like before.
But you wouldn’t be able to move on like before. Your clan of three wasn’t a clan of three anymore. Your only goal all this time was to bring Grogu back to his own kind, but now all you wanted to do was find the Jedi and bring Grogu back. You knew it was selfish, for training was what Grogu truly needed, but your heart didn’t want to accept that fact.
One glance at your, at the Mandalorian, who was sitting opposite from you with his head lowered and hands still trembling, was enough for the numbness to vanish away and the tears to fill your eyes. Uncontrolled and chaotic thoughts were racing through your head. You tried to shut your eyes, tried to just stop thinking, but nothing helped. One thought, a question, was the most apparent one.
Where did this leave you?
You liked to think that Din has rescued you. He had not only saved you when he had hired you as his mechanic, but he also saved from your mind. It had taken a long time to open up for Din, but when he finally did crack, you saw a complete different side of him. The caring, loving side. The side that made you fall in love with him in the first place. He always listened to you and never interrupted you, always let you voice your thoughts and never disagreed with you. He took your hand in his when he felt anxiety creeping up your body and whispered sweet nothings in your ear to calm you down. He let you take care of his wounds and see the most vulnerable and human side of him. He cuddled you to sleep whenever you got the opportunity to, trusting you so much that he even took off his armor.
What you loved the most, though, were the small touches he gave you. He always put his arm around your waist, gently moved his fingers up and down your arm to calm you down, gave your hand a gentle squeeze of reassurance, drew small circles with his fingers on your body and always initiated any body contact with you. However small, he always seemed like he wanted to feel you close to him.
There was a time when you had hoped that his heart beat the same way your did, that merely your existence brought him joy and that he felt the same way about you. After some time, though, you figured he didn’t. You had asked him once, a few months ago, if he could ever imagine himself loving someone romantically and devoting his whole life to a single person. You didn’t known what you expected him to answer, but you had desperately hoped for him to tell you that he was capable of loving romantically, that he was open to love someone that way someday.
Your heart had sunk when he had answered with a simple “no”.
You were thinking whether you had always just been the woman who took care of Grogu and repaired his ship to him. Now Grogu was gone, there was no ship to repair anymore and you were scared. Scared of him telling you that he didn’t need you anymore, that you could go back to where you came from.
You were scared that you would never ever hear from him again.
The thought alone made you want to vomit. Din was everything you had, he was everything to you.
“Din?”, you whispered, finally, after what felt like hours of sitting in silence. Din didn’t budge, he didn’t even raise his head or give you any sign that he was listening to you. But you knew you needed to say something, anything to make sure that he wouldn’t leave you behind.
You gulped, opening and closing your mouth a few times before you could even bring yourself to say something. “Uhm.”, you began, your voice quivering as the tears threatened to spill out of your eyes. “What are we going to do know? I mean we’ve spent so long finding a Jedi to train Grogu and- what’s going to happen now? Where are we going to sleep? Can we even afford a new ship, I mean I barely have any credits. I know Boba told us that we can stay on his ship and with him as long as we want to, but are you thinking about buying a new one? Are you going to go back to Bounty hunting? What- what am I going to do now? I just-“
“I don’t fucking know!”, Din shouted and interrupted your chaotic thoughts. When you looked up, Din was roaming over you, his broad and tall body suddenly intimidating you.
You instantly shut your mouth, your eyes widening as the tears threatened to spill out of your eyes again. Din had never once raised his voice at you like that, he’d never shouted in your face like that, never looked at you like you were one of his bounties.
Your lips quivered but you tried your very best not to cry, not now and not in front of him. He was going through a lot, he had just been separated from Grogu and you could understand his frustration.
Din let out a big breath, trying to control his heavy breathing.
“I don’t fucking know!”, he repeated himself, even louder. “I don’t know what I’m going to do now, just fucking leave me alone!”, he continued as he took a step forward.
Your hands were trembling and you automatically took a step back when he took one forward, your back hitting the ship’s walls. You felt trapped unter his gaze, his visor was sharply pointing at you and you could see the way his chest moved so fast, heaving heavy breaths. You were feeling like one of his bounties, like he was going to pull out his blaster and shoot you. The rational side of your mind knew that Din would never ever lay a hand on you, never ever hurt you in any way. Not your Din, no. But in that moment, your mind stopped thinking altogether. In that moment, your eyes flashed with fear, if only for a second, but Din caught it.
-
Din almost didn’t catch it, too caught up in the moment, but when he saw the fear in your eyes, his heart truly broke in his chest. He took a few steps back and held his hands up. “No. No.”, he whispered more to himself than you, looking down at himself in horror.
Plenty of people were afraid of him and fearing what he could do, but he had never seen that fear in your eyes. He always feared that you would someday see him as he saw himself, as a cruel person, a killer. But you never did, never once even mentioned his bounty hunting and the people he had killed in his life. You had always seen him for who he truly was, you had always seen his caring and loving side, which was also the only side he was willing to show you. He didn’t want you to see what he was capable of, he didn’t want to corrupt your mind with the images and he didn’t want you to think differently about him. To think that the only person Din Djarin had ever, and would ever, love romantically was afraid of him, felt like someone was ripping out his heart slowly and painfully. It felt like someone had punched him in the guts.
“I would never hurt you, you know that, right? I would never touch you- I would never lay a hand on you. You know that? I’ve made that clear, right? Fuck, I’m so sorry. I don’t want you to fear me- Cyar’ika?”, his voice broke when he saw the empty look in your eyes- you weren’t listening to him. Your mind was probably racing with a thousand questions. “Fuck.”, he whispered to himself, not wanting to step closer to you and make you fear him even more, but still wanting to convey the message that he would never even think of hurting you. Not you, not his cyar’ika.
“Mesh’la? Mesh’la, do you hear me?”, he asked again, his voice a tad bit softer, but shaking even more than before. When your eyes moved to his visor, he let out a relieved breath. “I would never hurt you, you know that, right? Never.”
You carefully nodded your head, your ears still roaring.
“Mesh’la, never.”, his voice cracked and the tears started flowing out of his eyes. He needed to get away from you, he couldn’t bare seeing the only person he cared about being afraid of him. He couldn’t keep looking at you with the knowledge that you saw him as everyone else now- brutal and cruel. He couldn’t bear it.
Without looking back at you, without saying anything else, he left the hallway of Boba’s ship and entered the first room he saw before he collapsed against the door and ripped the helmet off of his face.
He saw his reflection in his helmet, saw his tear stained cheeks and was reminded of another fact. You had not uttered a single word when he had taken off his helmet, he didn’t even catch your gaze once. Din Djarin felt ugly. He felt like he was unworthy of ever being loved by you. Did you think he was so ugly that you didn’t even say anything about his appearance? Hasn’t he made it clear how much he truly adored you? After all you were a member of his clan, you were practically engaged and he was courting you. Surely, you must have been aware of that.
Nothing of it mattered anymore. Those problems seemed like nothing in comparison to what had just happened.
Din Djarin let out a sob. You would never look at him the same way again.

Can we have an intro script for Avatar but instead of Katara, we have Zuko narrating?
I was actually just thinking about this the other day, anon!! I bet I can draft something up real quick!
FIRST CHAPTER NARRATION:
Long ago, the Fire Nation lived in peace and prosperity.
Then, everything changed when my great grandfather tried to share that prosperity with the rest of the world, and the Air Nation attacked.
While my great grandfather won that battle, the Avatar - an Air National, the master of all four elements, and the most deadly threat to the Fire Nation - somehow managed to evade him, and vanished.
Nearly a hundred years have passed since then, and the Fire Nation is now nearing victory in the war. My father, the new Fire Lord, has tasked me with finding and capturing the Avatar.
This is my destiny, and the only way I can restore my honor and return home.
POST-ZUKO REDEMPTION NARRATION (aka the normal show intro version):
Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.
Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop the my people’s tyranny. But when the world needed him most, he vanished.
Nearly one hundred years passed, and my uncle and I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang.
Through his friendship, Aang helped me open my eyes to the things I was blind to. Now, my uncle and I are going to help him defeat my father and save the world.
*****
There you have it lol. I literally just thought these up over the span of the past 20 mins, so sorry if they’re not the best 😅
I am seriously considering going back to the very first chapter and adding that first narration to the beginning of it now… hmmm…

Damn it all, I lost someone's ask
I saved it to draft (so I could deal with it at more length) and it vanished.
The person was saying they wanted to tank up on Young Wizards printed books but were having trouble, due to unavailability of all but "the first one", and prices for both hardcovers and trade paperbacks being all over the place at independent suppliers.
Briefly: this has been a problem for nearly the last decade, and more so since the books' US publisher (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) was ingested by another larger publisher.
Distribution on these books has always been dodgy, and frankly it's become more so over time, as their publisher keeps changing hands, staff leave or are fired, and sales staffs turn over. Additionally, all the books have appeared in multiple formats over the years, and not all of the books necessarily in all of those.
Confused yet? I know I am, and they're my damn books!
Dealing strictly with the Harcourt editions here: the first three appear only in mass-market paperbacks, with covers by two different artists. The fourth one then appears in mass market and an unusual small-format hardcover. Then (when the series took off with that publisher) all the MMPBs were repackaged, and (starting with the fifth one) were preceded by Harcourt hardcovers. Additionally, as the books were doing quite well in the early 2000s, the sales staff thought it would be a good idea if there were "digest format" editions aimed at younger readers. (These books were only physically larger than MMPBs, with bigger print: no text was ever Reader's-Digest-style abridged/condensed.) And there were only six of these, as the later books were thought to be "more adult" and hence not a good fit for this format.
After that, the remaining three books all went to hardcover-and-paperback, usually a year apart. The digest editions were allowed to gradually go out of print; so were the hardcovers, as demand for them fell off. And that's where we are at the moment, with (as far as I can tell) the MMPBs only being reprinted in small amounts when stocks fall low enough to warrant it.
This situation doesn't really support the books being easy to find. Additionally, older editions of the hardcovers from previous publishers (and older trade paperbacks, ditto) are still out there, and can be had... but at what will look like weirdly high prices. The early Dell hardcovers of So You Want To Be A Wizard, Deep Wizardry and High Wizardry, due to their small print runs, are rare, hard to find, and usually go for hundreds of dollars. (This link at Abebooks will show you what the situation's currently like for the Delacorte hardcover first edition of So You Want To Be A Wizard.) For a long time there was no US hardcover of A Wizard Abroad until SF Book Club published one set from the text of the UK Transworld/Corgi edition. (sigh) And so on. (There's a page over at the Young Wizards site dealing with this wild assortment of covers and formats.)
Now, all that said: Over at Signed Books Direct is our storefront for copies of both the newer and older books. Except for the rarest ones, we sell them at cover price (and are happy to do so, because FFS nobody needs this many of their own books). :) I acquired a lot of these from Harcourt when word came down that warehouse space was tight, stock was being winnowed, and I could have these on the cheap—or, it was heavily implied, they would be pulped. And as someone who due to a weird confluence of circumstances had half the print run of her (strongly-selling!) first novel pulped in the warehouse, the mere word, even after forty years, makes my blood run a bit cold. So I laid out the necessary cash and gave those books a home. And when people find ones they want, I sell them on to new homes with great pleasure.
So the thing for you to do (O person whose ask was in an evil hour eaten by Tumblr) is use the SBD contact email on this page to query me about what you're looking for. I'm presently in the middle of reorganizing the store's inventory so it reflects what we've actually got. The website's about to be reorganized to reflect what's on the shelves in the boot room, but that's not gonna happen this week.. so don't take what you see on the site seriously. Query me about what you're after, and as soon as I've had a rummage in the shelves, I'll get back to you.
HTH!
(And for those of you wondering, "But what are you doing about the distribution problem?" ...right now the answer is: "What my agent and I can." More news as it becomes available.)
