My headcanons about kid in circus (idea from @moonbunscafe and @gddancefloor. Thanks for idea ;))

• Caine would be praised by hugging kid every time he/she did something in the game/ adventure (it doesn't matter if she/he lose or won)

• I think Caine has a program for how to take care of a child and what to do with him if something happens

• Kid would choose Pomni like mom, because she would protect him from Jax or during an adventure

• Caine would not mind being Pomni as a mom, explaining that kid would be calmer in the circus this way

• Caine beat Jax with a cane when Jax tried to make fun of the child

• I like to think that Kid would approach Caine with a Pomni and ask them why they don't sleep together, don't kiss because parents do that. Pomni would be worried, and Kane would laugh with the reaction Pomni considering it funny (and would ,, kiss" Pomni on the cheek to make kid happy)

• when Kid first appeared in the circus, she/he began to call certain inhabitants uncle and aunt (and called kinger grandfather). when Caine asked kid who he would be, the child loudly said ,,dad!’’ because of how Caine took care of him and Caine was happy with the nickname

• Caine often (almost always) gives kid his hat or cane because she/he wants it

•Moon clearly started to get angry when she found out that kid considers Pomni as mom and that kid literally brings Caine with Pomni together (Caine then began to avoid moon, because he's afraid of her anger)

The dream is frightening - a flash of color and bared fangs that gnash against his throat while a man’s scream rips through the air. What do you think it meant? His therapist would ask. Probably that I watched too much telly before bedtime, he’d answer. And then they’d stare at one another, quiet except for the scratching sound of pen against paper every moment that Lucas sat without speaking - for apparently silence is it’s own kind of answer. Instead of saving it for a small office with close fitting walls and a woman who breathed far too loudly through her mouth, the agent turns to face the warm body lying next to him. He doesn’t know if she’s awake (if she’s not, he hopes her dreams are more peaceful) so rather than ask Lucas simply tightens the hold of his arm around her side, nose nuzzling into the soft hair at her temple and words a mere whisper of sound.

“I love you, pretty girl.”

She’s not sure what roused her from slumber at first, the sounds of the night familiar and peaceful as always, but she can’t help but feel as if there is something wrong despite the evidence to the contrary. Keeping still and listening intently for any sort of clue as to what has her heart hammering in her chest, she focuses on the breathing of the man laying beside her, the sound usually enough to calm her on the rare nights when she’s troubled by lingering nightmares. That sense that something is wrong only deepens when she feels him shift, his arm twined about her waist pulling her closer and the soft brush of his nose against her temple drawing the faintest shiver from her just before his words register in her sleep-fogged mind.

The shock of hearing the words for the first time steal her breath away for a moment, her eyes stinging with emotion that she wasn’t prepared to feel at this hour of the night, and she’s about to open her mouth to respond when she feels the faint trembling of his body where it presses cold and clammy against her, hears the unsteady breath that catches in his chest, and the pieces fall into place with a dull click - nightmare. 

Drawing a deep breath and turning carefully in his arms until she’s tucked against him face to face, Aurora lifts one hand to cup the side of his face, her fingers gentle as they trace the angle of his cheekbone and the sweep of his jawline, all the while her gaze holds his steady in the dim light cast by streetlamps outside. A tender kiss is pressed to his lips before she draws back, a faint smile touching her own as her soft voice fills the space between them with words she’s been dying to say for a while now.

“I love you too, baby.”
