Edit 2/12/2024: I wanted to add a disclaimer to my redesigns! I really appreciate all of the likes and comments that these have garnered, but I just want to add that these aren't intended to be "improvements" or "fixes" of the original designs in any way and were done as a character design exercise for my own entertainment. Looking back on them there's a lot I'd like to change about them and I'd never claim to be anything more than an amateur/hobbyist character designer messing around with these character concepts. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Redesign of most of the main cast of Hazbin Hotel + Lucifer for fun and all that. I enjoy seeing other people's interpretations of these characters and wanted to try my hand at it. Elaboration below the cut.
(warning for some potential spoilers for Season 1 below)
Charlie
Tumblr media
As you can see, the gist of my redesigns is exaggerating the qualities of whatever the character is supposed to be. In this case, I thought Charlie lacked qualities that identified her as a demon, and so I gave her permanent horns and a more goat-like appearance. I also gave her angel wings for a unique look and to identify her as Lucifer's daughter. Realistically these could be bat wings instead, since Lucifer was historically depicted as having said wings, but I thought the angel wings combined with demonic features would give her a unique appearance. Her outfit is inspired by bellhops and magicians. I wanted her to be based on a type of performer in the same vein as her parents, with Lucifer's supposed ringmaster theme and Lilith being a diva. This is also why I gave her red nose paint, because to me, her red cheeks and white face make her look clown-like. I gave her round shapes to represent her sweet personality while her overall body type is lanky in a somewhat awkward way, trying to depict her as a bit dorky. I made her hair a bit more prominent for a princess-y look.
Vaggie
Tumblr media
Vaggie's moth qualities have been exaggerated here. I'm aware of the theories that she's actually not a moth demon but rather a fallen angel, but I wanted to disregard that because I really like bugs. She has four arms, black eyes, antennae, and her hair is actually a pair of functional wings. Her hair-wings have four "eye spots" on them that are actually functional eyes similar to Sir Pentious. Shape-wise I wanted to show her as a more combative, assertive character, with blocky arms and a shorter and wider physique compared to Charlie. I gave her a modern outfit with a fluffy jacket reminiscent of a moth's neck fluff.
Alastor
Tumblr media
I gave Alastor a complete overhaul. My biggest gripe with his design is that he's not intimidating in the slightest and yet we're meant to interpret him as fearsome. Although I enjoy the idea of a character who is not physically intimidating while still being a powerful force, I wanted to depict Alastor as outwardly frightening while retaining the idea that he's underestimatable because... his entire body is shadow! Rather than having that Dr. Facilier expy (/j) shadow companion he has, I decided to make it so Alastor is actually the shadow himself. This grants him a plethora of abilities like a greater range of movement, intangibility, etc. I imagine he was disoriented when he first spawned in hell as nothing but a shadow, but slowly found that this could be exploited and became extremely powerful. His staff is based on a vintage style of microphone with the center modified to look like an inverted pentagram. No Voodoo iconography here. The skull itself does not move, rather the red light in his eye flickers in time with his voice. Outfit-wise, he's wearing a basic vintage suit with a boater hat to identify him as being from the 1920's. Of course, the most significant part of his design is his antlers, which are greatly underwhelming in his canon design (disregarding his "true form" which is still weak in my opinion). In addition to giving him a dramatic silhouette, these antlers can be manipulated by him as a pair of appendages similar to hands.
Angel Dust
Tumblr media
I didn't change much about Angel Dust. I think he has a nice design. I just tried to make him a bit more spider-like, with pedipalps, extra eyes, and an abdomen. I tried to make the abdomen small so it's essentially like a cottontail. I modified his legs a bit like I did Vaggie's so they're bent in a way similar to bug legs. His suit has a bit more dimension to it as well. I initially wanted to make the stripes vertical for a true pinstripe suit, but the horizontal ones ultimately won out. The most notable part of his physique is his legs like it is in his canon version, but I tried to make all of his limbs longer as well.
Lucifer
Tumblr media
This one was very self-indulgent. I wanted to make Lucifer more father-like in appearance to try and diversify the shapes of male characters in this show, similar to how I gave Alastor a stocky build. With a stouter appearance he is simultaneously less and more imposing depending on how he's depicted. I think it'd be nice if his wings were a permanent element of his design. I gave him a broken halo, which he obscures with his top hat. I modified his outfit while still retaining the ringmaster appearance, giving him a long, flowing cape for a dramatic look. He has a cane in the shape of a golden snake which can actually move freely if he wills it. I based his hair a bit on famous carnie P.T. Barnum, and I think he'd have a similar characterization as Barnum too, being an outwardly magnanimous and lovable leader while in reality wanting nothing more than to encourage hedonism, chaos and sin in his subjects. His pointy beard and moustache come from depictions of Mephistopheles. Like Charlie, I gave him red nose paint because like I said, they've got clown vibes. Charlie inherits her goat features from Lilith, who I did not draw (yet).
Thank you for reading!
I'm not 100% on these redesigns but I enjoyed the exercise. I may redo them eventually.
I'd also like to do more of these, especially Adam.

Ooooookay! Hazbin Hotle redesigns....but not really? Honestly, it's just me drawing them in my style, but they could be considered redesigns, I guess, specifically Charlie
Tumblr media
Uhhhh I guess we start form left to right sooo, Emily!
Right, so, Emily is obviously a fallen angle. Thiguht this isn't her fallen look, since we already kneo what she looks liek with wings and a halo I didn't think about making a 2nd version of her without the demon disguise- but maybe I should
Either way, I kinda kept her original dress, with the symbols and what not, I feel liek blue and purple really suit her so, indigo
I tried to add red to her, but it just didn't look good. It gave me an eye strain.though her till and horns have a sort of dark magenta color going on
I wanted to add more 'freckles' cause, thier cute, and I have a bunch of freckles ove rmy arms and legs and face and stuff so, added them to em, I put a few on her ears and tail and horns to
Gave her gold buttons and fishnets on her arms, i forget what their called cause they are cute, and I like Athnek(?) Posts about Emily and uh, goth Emily, I think, is pretty cool and so boom, fishnet glive things- I gitta look up what there called
Lso ehr shoes look liek dolphins, which I didn't mean to do but it happened and I've accepted it
Next is Charlie!!
Um. Obviously, Charlie is the most changed from her canon design, I relaly like her hooves and others redesigns of her looking more liek a goat
Originally, I was just gonna add gaot ears and stuff, but the more I thought about it, the more I liked the idea of her having fur soooo tadaaaaa~
I gave her a little red stripe between her eyes and fade on her legs and ears to match Razzle and dazzle, and since lucifer was a high angle a seraphm/archangels hoenstly I dotn see a difference. I gave her some white freckles as well to sorta, show that connection
Also, toe beans! If she has claws, she can have beans, I think that Emily would have a normal human hand while vaggie would have little soft spikes on her like moths do, tho that's not shown
I also drew charlies wings cause it's cnaon she has them, and I wanted to play around with the demon/angle wing/s she could have, my irl friend K helped me decide which one to choose
I also drew her leg so you can see the fade in full. Side note that her belly has the same cherry red fur
I also added some chest fluff because why not?
As for her horns, I kept them the same color but added rings like Lilith has to show a connection between them. She also has her mom's eyes and heart tail point. I wanted her to have some demon stuff out just cause, she is a demon, she should......also realizing just how long I made her tail-
Uhhh, oh, right, side note, which I'll have to make a separate post about, Lucifer/eve/lilith are all dating each other, and Chalrie is all 3s kid. Eve is where she got the goat aspect from, inckuding horn shape, her scaly tail, snake fangs, red cheeks and color scheme over all are from dad, and Lilith is where she got her eyes and horn rings and heart point from, and beans to I guess
Maybe I should make a gene sheet one day; I gave her Jean shorts, like how I usually wear just cause I didn't want to add too much red or black
Okay, vaggie time!
Vaggie is the least changed. The most I really change about her is how her wings look. Her hand snow has soft spikes like moths do, and her hair
I do think when she fell, she got more demon aspects, but since her wings were torn off, she doesn't have to many physically other than fangs and the spikes
I also made her hair shorter because please, nobody has their hair that long!! or if they do, then I've never seen them!
I know it's a show, but it was driving me crazy! I'm not that skilled at draw front view bodies yet, so if vaggie looks off I'm sorry:(
Play that should be it!-
Oh wait, hold on, right. The reason they have gold rings/objects on them is because in term software demon courting their all technically married, okay bye-

I am doing very minor revisions of Daemon’s Handbook (mostly formatting and continuity errors), and I wanted to do some behind-the-scenes commentary before too much time passes and I forget my original thoughts. Here’s Chapter 1!
DO NOT read these commentaries until you have finished reading the entire Handbook! There are many spoilers in each commentary for future chapters
(Note that these commentaries aren’t canon to the verse until/unless the author writes them into the series. I might change my mind on a few points later, but these are the thoughts I had while writing.)
Chapter titles are named for Daemon’s very bad parenting advice if he were writing an actual handbook.
The rumors that Rhaenyra’s kids are bastards started from a combination of a) black hair and b) Harwin still being unusually close/romancing Rhaenyra even if he isn’t the bio father. But when Jace grew old enough to look like a mini Rhaenys, most reasonable people gave it up.
JOFFRIDA. I was considering the name Jocelyn at first, but I wanted to lean into Laenor naming his third kid after Joffrey Lonmouth. There’s no obvious feminine version of Joffrey, though. Then I decided Laenor seems like the type to tack on a feminine suffix and call it a day. 😂
Daemon is convinced Aemond is a prude. We know how that turns out in Chapter 9.
Aegon starts out a bit afraid of Rhaenyra. He shows more backbone later (especially Chapter 9) but I like to think he’s always going to be a bit afraid of her.
“Oh well, not Daemon’s problem.” (Re: Hightower boys and how they grow up) 😂😂😂
Joff’s curse tablets are inspired by the ancient Roman curse scrolls wherein people wrote things like “Livia has done me great wrong. O gods of the Underworld, make her go bald and die a painful death. If you do this, I’ll sacrifice five goats to you.” Why doesn’t she use a curse tablet again in the story? I’ll flesh it out elsewhere in the series, but TLDR magic has a price and Joff learns this very early in her life.
Vaemond’s funeral eulogy in this verse doesn’t go so hard on “our blood runs true” (he knows the girls are legitimate) but maybe he makes some quips about women and motherhood and sacrifice. Nothing overtly terrible but he’s thinking about the future of Driftmark, which is currently slated to pass to a girl after Laenor, when he thinks it would be best for Driftmark to stay within the male line. So he uses the eulogy to subtly push his agenda. I’m not going to go into more detail here because I might write out his actual eulogy one day, but that’s the gist.
Daemon shies away from comforting his daughters in this chapter. He eventually grows out of this in Chapter 7 (with Baela) and Chapter 11 (late night discussion with Rhaenyra).
Driftmark Lite! I decided not to have Aemond lose his eye at Luce’s hand for several reasons. First, I thought it would be tonally inappropriate; this fic strongly leans toward comedy, and the canon fight would have been too heavy. Second, a lot of this fic is me exploring what would be different if Rhaenyra’s kids were girls, and I thought this would definitely change.
In the GOT/HOTD universe, highborn girls are way less likely than boys to carry blades. Girls like Baela and Arya are rare exceptions. Girls like Sansa are much more the norm. If we’re going by traditional gender norms, girls are probably encouraged to talk their problems out rather than fight it out, as boys might.
So the fight doesn’t escalate as badly because Jace is trying to be peacemaker, and instead of bastard insults, Aemond uses the playground taunt of “you’re a bunch of wussy girls wah wah” (which only provokes Baela).
But the fight DOES escalate to a degree when Aemond specifically insults Luce about things she’s very sensitive about, i.e. her reading struggles and little phobias like rats. Luce retaliates by kneeing him in the groin, which is a move a girl is far more likely to use than a boy on another boy.
Later, Alicent freaks out a bit because she’s in “overprotective mother” mode but once she takes a breather, she realizes it isn’t that huge a deal and lets it go (but this is yet another reason she doesn’t really like Luce).
Daemon 100% got hit in the groin before, and no one can convince me otherwise. Who did it? Dunno. Are they still alive? Probably not.
Laenor’s mysterious death!!! Was it Joff? Did she use her curse tablet? Did she do it because she hates her name? We’ll have to find out when I eventually write her POV.

Love, Bad Decisions, Cocaine, and Angst from Brother's Keeper to Freefall
Here before you lies the entirety of all my Miami Vice fiction, compiled in one place! The Sonny/Rico fics follow the series from beginning to end, and are intended to be a reasonably canon-compliant explanation of their relationship, tied to specific episodes. There's also two Gina/Trudy fics and one Switek/Zito fic; the implication is they take place concurrently. (Yes, everyone on Vice squad is queer. No, I don't care that that implies some very strange things are happening in the Miami PD hiring department.) Pretty much all fics contain angst, language, internalized homophobia, and period typical attitudes, but the series ends happily as a whole! Rating beside title.
Sonny/Rico Fics:
Ashes in a Goldfish Bowl - M - S1E19 Made for Each Other - Sonny contemplates a growing and awkward crush on his coworker.
Gas Station Confessional - M - S1E22 Evan - As he learns about Evan Freed, Rico pieces together that Sonny may be hiding more than he's letting on.
Unnecessary Medicine - M - S2E5 & 8 The Dutch Oven & Tale of the Goat - Sonny is dosed with cocaine; later, Rico is dosed with tetrodotoxin. They take care of one another.
Adventures in Microwave Sales - E - S2E9 Bushido - In the aftermath of Jack Gretzky, Sonny decides life is too short not to take Rico up on his offer to be friends with benefits.
Faults and Hairline Fractures - E - S3E12 Down for the Count - After their friend's death, Rico notices that Sonny seems uncharacteristically upbeat after months of brooding.
The Naming of Cats - E - S4E3 Death and the Lady - Sonny lets his guard down while he and Rico take care of a kitten for Gina, and hates himself for it.
Wise Men Say, "Only Fools..." - M - S4E8 Like a Hurricane - After Sonny's wedding, Rico makes a series of bad decisions.
Playing House - M - S4E20 A Bullet for Crockett - With Rico taking care of him after being shot, Sonny chafes against the constraints of his marriage, and questions his choices.
Repossession - M - S5E12 Jack of All Trades (or around there) - Rico is incredibly concerned and hurt as an increasingly depressed and listless Sonny gets very drunk at an auction.
Take Me Home - E S5E18 Freefall - If Sonny and Rico have any hope of moving on together, they need to push past five years of refusing to communicate and be honest with one another.
And Life Goes on Beside the Palisades - T - Post-series - Crossover with Wiseguy - Sonny and Rico have settled into their life together in New York. A chance encounter with another pair of ex-agents gives everyone an opportunity to reflect on where they want to go from here.
Trudy/Gina:
Not Like a Painting - T - S2E8 Tale of the Goat (or around there) - Trudy suggests playing hooky, and wonders if Gina knows she's acting like they're on a date.
Warfarin, Eggs, and Chase & Sanborn - E - S2E9 Bushido - Gina worries that Trudy might not return her attraction, and they find out where they stand during a series of all-nighters.
Stan/Larry:
Wearin' That Loved On Look - E - Late S1/Early S2 - Larry tries not to think too hard about what happens sometimes in the Bug Van.

The 141 had been on Lamb's farm for four weeks now and you had gotten into a pattern of seeing them. You often went over to help with her leg. Something had been really irritating it lately and she never would take care of it herself. (Stubborn bitch)
You were getting to know the men pretty well actually. MacTavish, or Soap practically followed lamb as closely as Nikon did. He knew a thing or two about livestock to Lamb logically trusted him with most tasks she would have done herself.
Garrick, or Gaz spent a lot of his time at Keys' place. She was in the middle of reorganizing and cataloging her library and she was very thankful for the help. Although, you wondered how much work was actually getting done. Gaz knew all about the series she liked so instead of working, the two were probably gushing over who kissed who and what was going to happen in the next book.
The Captain was no stranger to you (even if he avoided you like the plague). He would give simple head nods in your direction and calmly leave whatever room you had entered. You had no details about the meeting he had with Skip. But there was no broken glass or shattered doors when you and Lamb entered the house again.
The person you probably spent the most time with, however, was Ghost. Ghost was by far the most enigmatic of the group but he was also the most…genuine. You could see how his face would make invisible expressions under the mask and how he was incredibly expressive with his eyes. (That man could murder someone with a side-eye)
Whenever you would be at Lamb's house (Which was more often than you were at your own house), you always managed to be in proximity of the large man. Lamb often sent him over to help with whatever it was you were doing. You mostly came over to check on Moosie and her illness. The prognosis wasn't good and you had even walked in on Soap holding her as she cried into his shoulder.
Today though you were at the office, helping a sweet chocolate lab deliver her second litter of puppies. You watched closely as the lab huffed and grumbled in the large padded box next to you. You had decided to sit on the floor next to her so she would feel more comfortable. She held her head in your lap as you typed on your laptop, finishing up some documenting how many rabies vaccinations you would require for next year.
You turned your head as you heard the small yips of a newborn pup. You beamed down at the lab and pet her head softly.
"Atta girl. So proud of you." You whispered. The dog huffed again and got back to work. After checking on the puppy and documenting its health your receptionist stuck her head in the door.
"Lamb is calling you. Should I send the call in here or should I take it?" Maryanne asked softly. You really liked Maryanne and hired her on as your secretary a week ago. There wasn't much work she could do in town due to her health issues and you were more than happy to be accommodating for her.
"You can take the message, Maryanne. I'm gonna focus here with Debbie." You said while documenting the successful arrival of a second puppy. Maryanne nodded and you heard her wheelchair slotting back to the desk.
"She said someone named Ghost was coming over for some stitches. Said it was urgent." Maryanne called. You nodded and added him to your calendar. You wondered what Ghost could have done to himself that would cause a need for stitches so bad that he or Lamb couldn't do it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An hour or so later, you heard the little bell above the door of your office ring out.
"Hello, sir! How can I help you?" You heard the soft voice of Maryanne say from the front room. You stood from your seat on the floor and started to scrub up. You sanitized your hands and moved to the secondary room, gathering the materials you would need to do some serious stitching.
" 'm here to see Tens." A gruff voice said. Maryanne made a sound of affirmation and you heard the door to the first room office swing open. Debbie opened her eyes and huffed, only turning over so her six puppies could keep nursing.
"Over here!" You called while putting a layer of absorbent cloth down on the chair's arm. The chair you had in this room was not like one found in regular doctor's offices. This was a modified tattoo chair that you had gotten from an estate sale. Waste not, want not.
Ghost walked into the room holding a blood-stained towel over his left forearm. You winced and made a hissing sound.
"What happened to your lovely artwork?" You said kindly, gesturing to the seat. Ghost said nothing as he sat down, resting his arm on the chair's armrest.
"Was fixin' up the water toughs in the goat pens when this big bastard decided to use my side as ramming practice." He grumbled, making no sound of pain as you peeled away the towel.
"Jesus Christ on a bike." You mumble as you take in the extent of the damage. Six large lacerations dug deep in his forearm. Blood leaked from them and dripped down his arm, being absorbed by the towel.
"Bugger shoved me hard enough to cause my arm to hit the barbed wire next to the fence," he continued to explain. You nodded in understanding. You too had been headbutted by the 'big bastard' as Ghost had called him. He was a rather young goat with the fury of a thousand suns crammed in his tiny body. it didn't matter how big you were or how strong. He would always try his damnedest to knock you on your ass.
"I know how that goes. Frankie always was cantankerous." You say while donning a pair of gloves. These gloves were specially made for you by a medical friend of yours. He had molded them to your hands so they fit absolutely perfectly. It was almost like wearing no gloves at all.
"Oh, Lamb said to give this to you. Said that you deserved it?" Ghost said while handing you a folded note. You nodded and gestured for him to place it on the tray next to you. You didn't want to have to scrub everything again.
You began by cleaning the area of blood as best you could with some gauze. You then reached over for your saline bottle and opened the cap with your other hand.
"Okay, you probably know the drill but I'll go through it anyway. This is just saline, it will sting a bit but not nearly as much as Isopropyl or whisky." You say with a smile. You can notice his eyebrows raising slightly in surprise.
"I was a combat medic Ghost. We used what we could find." You say with a wink. You irrigate the wounds and watch as he flinches from the pain slightly. The cuts weren't actually as bad as you had thought and that made you smile.
"Do you by any chance have a reference image for what the tattoo looked like before all of this?" You ask while holding pressure on the wound with one hand and grabbing your suturing supplies with the other. Ghost shook his head and you frowned. You'd have to guess then.
"Why does it matter? You don't need a reference to do stitches." Ghost said calmly. You could tell he wasn't irritated, he was genuinely curious about your question.
"Well look at it! I don't want to butcher it with messy stitching!" You say while gesturing to the undamaged parts of the tattoo. It truly was amazing work. The level of detail that went into the ink honestly deserved an award.
"I don't even want to think about how much this cost or how long it took to do. That would be a slap in the face of the artist." You continued, shaking your head at the thought.
Ghost chuckled and you felt your stomach do a little flip thing.
'odd...' you thought to yourself.
"Never had a medic care so much about my tattoos before." he chuckled. You could practically hear the smile in his voice and it took great restraint not to melt into a puddle.
"Perhaps you've been hanging out with the wrong medics." You say softly. You really didn't mean to make it sound so...sultry. You numbed the surrounding skin with some cream and you got to work stitching. You did your best to line up the skin perfectly so the details of the tattoos would be spared.
"Who are the right medics then?" he asked softly. You almost didn't hear him and you looked up, only to meet his piercing eyes.
Oh God
You could have fallen into those eyes. A deep brown that reminded you of freshly tilled earth after a rain storm. They reminded you of the dark bark of a steady spruce tree, green throughout the cold winter. His eyebrows were perfectly molded to his face but just unkempt enough to give him a scruffy appearance.
When you died, would have to slap God for making a man so fine.
"Sorry, I didn't hear you properly. Could you repeat that?" You asked. He leaned over in the seat a bit, getting closer. You could feel your breath hitch in your chest. He smelled divine. Like work and pure man. He also smelled slightly of cigarettes and bourbon with a hint of Lamb's homemade soap.
How dare he smell delicious? How dare he make you salivate at work with his stupidly strong arms, thighs, chest, and-
"I asked, who are the right medics then?" he repeated. You swallowed and hoped he couldn't hear your heart pounding in your chest.
"The ones who give a shit about you I suppose." You manage to say without stuttering. Never had a patient made you react this way. Not even the one time that smoking hot petty officer had gotten a steam burn on her side, showing you plenty of side-boob as you bandaged her up.
He only hummed and sat back, closing his eyes as you worked. It took you about three hours to stitch the wounds up enough to your satisfaction. You gently wiped the area clean with more saline and you put some antibacterial cream on the stitches. You looked up to say something to him but a rough snore caught you off guard. He was sleeping.
Somehow this large man had fallen asleep while you were giving him stitches. You said nothing as you gently wrapped the wound with Tegaderm so he could watch the healing process and come back if there were any issues.
You simply draped a thin blanket over him and turned out the lights. You cleaned up from the procedure and grabbed your laptop from the other room. You didn't want him to be alone when he woke up since you knew how disorienting that could be.
You sat on the floor once more and continued typing your reports, ignoring how the sun had long since set.
--------
It was around midnight when Ghost blinked his eyes open. He was strangely comfortable in whatever seat he was sitting in. He looked around to see where he was and he furrowed his eyebrows when he figured it out.
He was in one of Tens' medical rooms, sitting in a tattoo chair with his arm all bandaged up. He examined the work and was incredibly pleased that you had done a perfect job. The lines of the tattoo were perfectly aligned and the stitches were so perfectly symmetrical that if there even was a scar, it would look like it belonged in the tattoo anyway. Absolutely incredible.
A soft snore alerted him that he was not alone in the room. You sat in the corner, your laptop still on and shining a dull white light on your face. You slept peacefully but not in the cute ways that movies or books would show. You slept with your head on your shoulder, your mouth open slightly and a small splotch of saliva pooling on your coat collar. You still had your coat on that was dotted with his blood. Your hands rested on the keys of the keyboard as if you had fallen asleep while typing.
Simon smiled down at your sleepy form. You had stayed in this office with him so he wouldn't be frightened when he woke up. You stayed way past closing time and even fell asleep on the floor to make him more comfortable.
He stood up, closed your laptop (but not before saving your work), and gently picked you up. He was careful of his stitches and he was shocked when he didn't feel pain as the skin pulled a bit. You had numbed him up, even if you knew he was well used to stitches without pain relief.
You mumbled a bit as you shifted in his grip, nuzzling into his chest. it was a cute action and Simon felt a bit of blood rushing to his cheeks. How long had it been since he actually blushed? he made his way to the other room where he had seen a bed. It was a medical bed sure, but a bed was a bed in his opinion.
"Don't forget to... wash your haaands." You mumbled while making the motion of rubbing hands together. Simon smiled softly under his mask as he set you down. You curled up a bit, shivering in the late autumn air. He returned to the room he had been in and grabbed the blanket you had placed over him. He draped it over you and closed the door behind him.
Returning to the room to pick up your laptop, he noticed the paper that Lamb had instructed he give to you unfolded on the floor. The words written upon it made his stomach flip in the strangest way
'Have fun with Skullface. Don't ever mock me again bitch.'

The Devils on the Pew - Part 1
Summary:
Ned Flanders is a devil, a demon, Satan, whatever you want to call him. And his gorgeous wife is too.
They moved to Springfield with the idea of causing some trouble, earning a few souls, and having a little fun before they moved on. Their personas are perfect and their lives are comfortable but when they come up with an idea to seduce the local reverend and his wife, they don't expect to get into so much trouble. Or to actually grow this attached.
Ships: Devil!Ned Flanders/Reverend Lovejoy, Devil!Ned Flanders/Devil!Maude Flanders, Devil!Maude Flanders/Helen Lovejoy
Content Warnings: I suppose OOC for canon-Flanders but not for demon-Flanders.
Word Count: 3.3k
⋘ 𝑙𝑜𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑎... ⋙
When a devil wanted to choose a town to live in for a couple of years, there were a few things they considered. Sometimes, they looked at the folk who lived there and decided they were wicked or greedy enough to fall prey to a demon’s bargain. Occasionally, they chose a place filled with idiots who’d never notice. Hell, sometimes they’d throw a dart at a map and get lucky enough to find a place with both.
And that was exactly what had happened when the devil found his way to Springfield with his beautiful wife right behind him.
Maude draped herself over his shoulders, sweet thing that she was, and gently kissed the corner of his mouth. Her tail swished through the air lazily as she smiled. “Bored, honey?”
“Undeniably,” he said with a dramatic sigh. “Why, it feels like years since I got somebody to sign a contract.”
“It was three days ago,” she teased. “Still, if you’re bored, we can find something fun. Do you want to drive somebody crazy again by following them around and singing? That makes so many turn murderous.”
She sounded so eager that he couldn’t help but laugh.
He’d chosen the right devil to stick by his side. The perfect combination of sweetness and danger, perfectly hidden beneath her acting skills. Why, if he didn’t know better, even he would think of her as a perfect suburban wife.
“Or you could always call the reverend again. Tell him you got a paper cut on your tongue and you think God’s punishing you.”
“Even that’s grown tiresome now I’m afraid. He’s started just giving me the most random verses for any problem.”
But it was tempting. This town gave him more entertainment than he’d bargained for with just about every fool you could imagine. A small nudge and they all fell into various sins without even a second thought. Even the sweetest of children hid dark desires and he’d really never felt more at home.
Unfortunately, even that wasn’t enough to keep him excited. He got awfully, maniacally bored with small temptations. Sometimes he just wanted to devour souls and wreak havoc upon the land.
There were footsteps on the landing and he hurried to hide his horns and goat legs as the children scampered around the corner. They weren’t demons. Maude had thought it would help their image to have a pair and honestly, he’d grown quite attached to the skittish boys.
“Daddy! Daddy! They’re throwing rocks at the windows again!”
He gritted his teeth, eyes narrowing as he heard the glass crack from the other side of the house. How he wanted to burn them all but punishing or, heavens forbid, slaughtering a few children would make them better behaved as a whole. The worse the kids were, the more everybody in town suffered.
Why, just the other day, he’d seen a few teenagers stealing an entire slushie machine from the convenience store.
He knelt down beside Rod and Todd and pulled them into a reassuring hug. “Don’t you worry about those boys, alright? I know they seem scary and intimidating now but remember, God will always protect us. You just have to have faith.”
They nodded their heads and buried their faces into his sweater before deciding by themselves to read a few pages of their bible. They hopped up to go find one and Ned wondered if maybe he’d made a slight mistake with how Christian he’d raised them. Certainly seemed more ironic with each passing day.
Maude smiled at him as he stood. “They’re so sweet.”
“Aren’t they?”
“I think we did a good job,” she said. “By the way, I’m going to our book club a little later so do you want to drop them off with a sitter? I made some sugar-free, flour-free brownies and everybody’s going to have to eat some to be polite.”
Ned chuckled. “You’re crueler than the devil himself, you know that? I can watch the boys though, so we don’t need a sitter.”
She smiled and playfully bumped her hip against his. “I was thinking that while I’m with my friends, you can take the reverend on a few errands with you. Helen really wants him to get out more.”
Ned laughed and agreed. The benefits from being from Hell ranged from easily terrorizing his favourite humans all the way to lower taxes. And he did love tormenting the town’s pastor who seemed to be getting more and more exhausted of him by the day.
He pressed a sweet kiss to her cheek before he disappeared with a puff, arranging for a sitter who could come watch the kids. It was a shame they had to drive there but on a street with the incredibly observant Helen Lovejoy and the paranoid neighbour who lived close to them, they needed to take the long route. He didn’t blame said neighbour though. Anybody would be jumpy with that many stolen goods in their home.
His sweater felt a little scratchy that day when they left the kids with a young demon who had nothing better to do and a healthy fear of him. It was the best way to know nothing would happen to the boys.
No demon wanted to experience his anger if his children got hurt.
Maude knocked and they waited patiently outside the Lovejoy’s house, both noticing the open window with sheets tied together that led from Jessica’s room. They exchanged glances but no words until Helen opened the door, her smile decidedly fake.
“Hi-diddly-ho, Helen,” Ned greeted. “Maude told me this book of yours is a real tear-jerker so I brought you all some tissues.”
Maude wrapped her arms tightly around Helen’s waist, hugging the other woman in greeting before she held out the platter. “And I brought my favourite brownies! I tried something new with the recipe this time.”
Helen smiled though the excitement didn’t quite reach her eyes. “Sugar-free?”
“Of course.”
Ned leaned down to give Maude a kiss on the cheek. “Have a good day, dear. I’ll be back around dinner time to steal you again.”
“Thank you,” she smiled. “And good luck with everything. Are you sure you don’t want company or anything?”
“I’ll be fine-diddly-doo. You enjoy your book.”
Helen’s attention had been caught. She couldn’t resist digging for information, even if it turned out to be awfully boring. “Are you up to something fun today?”
“My mother’s coming into town so we want to get her a small gift,” Maude filled in. “Neddy wants to pick it out himself but you know, I always worry because he gets so flustered about this kind of thing.”
Ned chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. “I just want to make sure I get the right thing.”
Helen’s fake smile gave way for a real one as she had an idea. “Well, why don’t you take Time with you? My mother’s always coming over so he has plenty of experience and it’s not like he’s doing anything important today. He’s just playing with his trains.”
“Are you sure he wouldn’t mind? I’ve got to admit, I wouldn’t mind the help.”
“Of course, he won’t mind. Why don’t you come in while I fetch him?”
Maude smiled at him as she went to put her brownies down in the kitchen, giving him a small peck on the lips as she went past. The other guests hadn’t arrived yet. Ned had wanted to get there as early as was polite to make sure Helen helped them out.
If the reverend wasn’t able to go though, Ned had been eyeing out the mayor of the neighbouring town for a deal. Or if that fell through, Mr. Burns was always an easy target.
He could hear a faint argument and he stepped ever-so-slightly closer to listen without anybody noticing. Maude waved at him from the kitchen and he waved back, curious.
“Helen, we agreed that this would be my uninterrupted time with my trains.”
“But I already promised Ned you’d be willing to help and it would be great for you to get out for a while. What if the other ladies start feeling jealous that my husband is here? Next thing you know, Marge brings that awful Homer Simpson over.”
“It’s my house. I live here.”
“Do you have to be so difficult?”
“How am I meant to know what to buy his mother-in-law?”
“Get her the same thing you’d get for my mother.”
“Like poison?”
“What was that?”
“Nothing.”
Ned chuckled and strolled back to the front entrance when Helen reappeared with a promise that her husband would be out soon. It didn’t take long for him to drag his way up the stairs with an expression on his face that suggested he might be praying for salvation. It was too bad that Ned’s existence blocked off a good amount of divinity.
“Howdidly doodily Reverend,” he greeted despite the glare it earned him. “It’s such a beautiful day, don’t you think? Just filled to the brim with opportunity.”
“Truly.”
Ned’s smile was blinding as he bid goodbye to the two ladies. He kept up a stream of near endless and useless chatter the entire time he drove. Reverend Lovejoy barely responded to him but Ned made sure to intersperse enough questions to ensure the man couldn’t tune him out entirely.
Ned already knew what he wanted as ‘gift’ but he made sure to walk around the store and contemplated just about everything before he came to the selection of Bibles and hummed in appreciation.
He picked out two near identical ones with close prices and stared at them, contemplating which to buy with occasional muttered opinion.
“Ned, I believe those bibles are exactly the same,” Reverend Lovejoy told him after about two minutes passed.
“There’s a two-cent difference in the prices though,” Ned said and pointed to the sign. “There must be something missing from the cheapest one. What if I buy it for my mother-in-law and it’s missing two cents of content. I don’t think I’d forgive myself.”
“Buy her the more expensive one then.”
“But what if they haven’t taken anything out of this one and have instead added stuff to it instead?” Ned asked, sure to sound panicked. “What if they added something to the text.”
Reverend Lovejoy stared at him blandly. “I sincerely doubt that would have happened.”
“The devil works in all ways,” Ned said. “I don’t know if I can take that risk. Could you read this one and tell me if there’s anything untoward in it before I buy it?”
“You want me to read through the entire bible right now? In the store?”
“Well, the way I figure it, if anybody’s going to know if there’s something hidden it the pages, it’ll probably be you.”
“You can also get her both and then if she finds something strange or missing from one, you just replace it.”
Ned tapped on his chin as though thinking about it. “That sounds like a mighty fine idea but I don’t know if I want a possibly butchered bible in my house at all. God has been a little more sharp-eyed as of late, especially after we flicked to the wrong channel the other day. You remember it right?”
“You did call about it.”
“I wonder if she read through the last bible I got her or if she only read part of it…”
“Have you ever considered getting her a different gift?”
Ned took his time looking around the shop. There wasn’t really anything else fun – just a few incorrect psalms etched into mugs and dishtowels. He’d love to get one for Maude’s mother but he didn’t know her favourite, he told the reverend.
Honestly, one day he should buy something like this for Maude’s mother as a joke. He could imagine how she’d laugh at the idea.
“Oh, this one is almost in the same shade of blue as the one you used last week,” Ned said, eagerly picking up a third. “But it’s a whole dollar more. Boy for that price, I’d be expecting a new verse toward the back, wouldn’t you?”
“Sure.”
“Which bible do you use for sermons?”
“I… can’t remember.”
They could always stop by the library and pick it up but Ned felt that would be a little too cruel for now. Instead, he put all three back and nodded his head. “We should go look at a few other stores to make sure we’re not being ripped off.”
“I really don’t think that’s necessary.”
“No, no, you have to be careful. No sense in wasting money.”
Meanwhile, Maude gasped politely behind her hand after Luann finished her rant about how she hadn’t finished the book because of her husband’s childish tantrums. It sounded as though getting remarried had ruined their relationship exactly like it had the first time. She couldn’t help but feel bad for that poor child of theirs.
“I thought things would be different this time but he’s just as much of a loser now,” Luann complained. “It’s so frustrating. I just want to strangle him sometimes.”
“Men never learn,” Marge said sympathetically and put a hand on her shoulder. “I can’t begin to count how many times I ask Homer to do things nicely and he ends up completely forgetting. He can’t even remember my birthday.”
“Not all men are like that,” Maude defended. “Ned is great about those things.”
Bernice nodded in agreement. “Julius too. The biggest thing we fight over is him wearing his doctor’s coat out all the time.”
“They also fight about her day drinking,” Helen whispered, leaning in close so only Maude could hear her.
Maude giggled. She’d wanted to be friends with Helen from the day they arrived in Springfield and she couldn’t help but be proud of the accomplishment. The woman had more power over the people in this town than most imagined. The fear of getting into Springfield’s gossip mill kept many on her side.
Maude took advantage of that. Neddy liked to torment through pestering and an ever-happy grin but Maude preferred a subtler approach. Nobody ever suspected she might be the way Helen found out so many private details.
After all, how could a regular person know what went on in their homes?
“Maybe we should have some of the baked goods?” she recommended to Helen. “I think everybody could use a bite of something sweet to help settle the nerves before we talk about the book.”
“Of course,” Helen said. “I cannot wait to taste those brownies.”
Such a lie. One day, Maude would make actual brownies and they’d all be hilariously surprised.
Helen grumbled under her breath when they entered the kitchen and immediately began snatching various catalogues off the counters. She shoved them into an overflowing drawer nearby with great effort. “I’m going to burn all of this nonsense one day,” she complained. “I keep telling Tim to leave his train stuff in the basement but he never listens.”
“It’s sweet he has a hobby though,” Maude mentioned and leaned against the table. “Neddy doesn’t really have anything like that aside from reading the bible.”
Maybe they should choose a more obvious hobby. She enjoyed having the reputation of being the bland, boring family in town, but eventually somebody might wonder what they do during the day and tormenting townsfolk never sounded good on record.
She did want to cause some ripples soon. Maybe she would fake her own death? If it wasn’t for the kids, she’d eagerly do it in a second. Imagine…
“At least reading the bible doesn’t send your electricity bill through the roof,” Helen griped.
“It can when Ned gets to a really exciting part of it and he just can’t stop turning the pages. Once, he stayed up the whole night without even realising.”
She should read the bible again to keep up her charade. She had no idea how Ned had managed to remember all those verses and passages when the most he did was flip through the pages in between signing deals and cashing in on them.
Helen sighed and took out a few large plates to put things out on. “It’s rather funny, don’t you think? We complain all the time about our husbands but it could be far worse. I can’t imagine living a life like Marge’s.”
Maude shuddered dramatically. “I feel so sorry for her.”
Although years of living alongside the Simpsons had helped her realise Homer wasn’t all bad, she still didn’t like the man much. His children were menaces also and she hated inviting the family over even when Ned asked her to.
“And Luann’s husband somehow managed to be even worse. I think he must have stalked her the entire time they were divorced.”
“That’s very sad,” Maude said though she didn’t mean it in a pitying way. “I feel so sorry for their kid. He probably needs far more attention than they give him.”
Helen scoffed and rolled her eyes. “It’s pathetic really. I don’t think Luann’s mentioned him once today.”
Maude did find it hypocritical for Helen to lecture anybody about not paying attention to their kids when her own daughter was far worse than any of the town’s hoodlums. Jessica wasn’t a bad child deep down but Maude had never gotten the opportunity to properly speak to the poor thing. She wasn’t often home or at events with her family.
Helen hadn’t mentioned her daughter either though she did leave one brownie in the tin, likely for either Jessica or Tim. Maude winced. She didn’t want to eat the things herself.
“He has a crush on Marge’s girl, Lisa,” Maude offered, providing enough gossip for Helen to be happy. “But from what Todd saw, I think she’s more interested in one of those crass boys who terrorise everybody.”
“Oh really?” Helen asked. “Gets her taste in men from her mother.”
“Obviously.”
Maude brought the cupcakes from Bernice and Helen carried out the brownies when she noticed the light in the basement had been left on. She mentioned it to Helen who quickly hurried down the stairs to turn it off, muttering the whole way.
Maude peered down curiously, only getting a brief glimpse of the massive collection of model trains before everything plunged into darkness.
“His collection has grown since I last saw it,” she commented to Helen. “It’s almost impressive.”
Helen rolled her eyes. “Of course, it has. It’s the real love of his life, don’t you know? The other day, I saw a receipt for flowers and I got so happy, only to find out they were fake miniatures for the grass next to the train. We haven’t been on a date in forever but he’s there every day.”
She was keeping her voice down to make sure nobody else heard. A lot of her superiority came from the idea of her life being better than the other woman she surrounded herself with. Maude had a strong suspicion she was the only one who knew about Helen’s true feelings surrounding her marriage.
And the more she thought of it, the more of an opportunity she saw.
“Maybe we should go on a double date,” Maude said. “We can do something we’ve never done before like go on a camping trip or a hike. Wouldn’t that be lovely?”
Helen’s eyes brightened at the promise. “Oh, I don’t camp but I do know where this lovely little log cabin is we can rent. It would be amazing! You could even bring the boys if you wanted to.”
“They’ll be so excited! They’ve been getting much better with nature lately.”
Maude watched Helen carefully for the rest of the day, appreciating how her expressions stayed neutral even when she was irritated or smug. She couldn’t even deny that Helen was quite pretty when you looked past the judgmental sneer.
When Ned picked her up, she had a plan in mind.
Tim looked awfully unimpressed as he marched back inside his house, rubbing his temples as though a headache had formed over the day. Three bibles sat on the front seat and she laughed and she put them in the back after they’d driven away. Ned’s day had been a stunning success it would seem and she was mulling over offering Luann a deal.
“I have a brilliant idea,” she cooed as they made their way home. “I thought about it while I was talking to Helen.”
Ned raised an eyebrow at her; the very edges of his horns were beginning to poke through and she laughed, pushing them back down. It usually meant he was using some of his more demonic forces to watch the road while paying attention to her.
“You know I love your ideas,” he said.
“The Lovejoys have been going through a rough patch in their marriage,” Helen said. “And I think we could help them out in a more… physically fun way.”
Ned chuckled almost demonically. She wouldn’t even run a contract by him so this must be something far more interesting. “And how will we do that?”
“I just think they could use another avenue to release their frustrations.”
He inclined his head to her. “Well, that does sound like the best diddly idea I’ve heard all day. So neighborly of you and I know your devilish temptations are strong enough to charm just about any man.”
Maude preened beneath the praise. She knew she had talent when it came to drawing men’s eyes to her but no, she had no interest in seducing the Reverend. He’d never been that interesting to her. Not like Helen was.
“I’m thinking more about his wife.”
“You want to seduce Helen Lovejoy?”
“I want to try,” Maude said. “I like her Neddy and I think it would be great fun. Her soul would practically be mine after that. She’d have to sign a contract rather than let it get out.”
He chuckled. “Now, you don’t have to lie and say it’s for a contract. If we get one out of this, all the better but you know you’re allowed to have your fun without stealing any souls.”
“And I want you to seduce her husband.”
There, Ned hesitated. He tilted the car’s mirror down to look at himself, wrinkled his nose and frowned. “I don’t know about that. Maybe if I’d chosen a better form but… not this one.”
Maude rolled her eyes. “Are you joking? You’ve taken your shirt off before, right? This form is delicious.”
“Maybe to those who like men but I don’t think the reverend of a church is going to let his gaze wander to me,” Ned said. “You, I think, might have a chance.”
Did she notice a hint of jealousy in his tone? Her attention hooked, she leaned forward to ask, “Do you find him attractive?”
Ned scoffed. “Obviously. Why do you think I bother him as much as I do.”
“Then why not try? If he’s not interested, you leave it to me and I’ll just swoop Helen right out from under him. Best case scenario, we end up with only one soul rather than two but I have some stories from Helen that suggest you might have a better chance than you think.”
He shrugged. “I suppose there’s no harm in it. We should try not to get our names too messy though. I don’t want to have to move towns.”
“I promise. I’m a very smart devil.”
Ned smiled proudly at her. “That you are and hey, I’ve always rather liked those collars he wears.”

Which miraculous out of 27 fits better "main" gang(marinette, adrien, nino, alya, chloé and felix, and maybe zoé and kagam?i)?
Do you that zoé could use corectly pollination?
Yes, Zoe would do well with Pollination, she wants to fit in so she'd be able to readily work with her own hive, cause that's the key, it's more about working with the hive than giving orders and having total control. Plus, she does have a plant aesthetic to her transformation (though I have yet to see her interact with plants, so it might just be for the Bee aesthetic? And the flower on her shirt?).
Tumblr media
But for the first question, can't give a full answer until power polls are all done and powers are all decided, so I'm just going to have this stick with the Zodiac and Bee. Anything more will have to wait until the polls are done.
Marinette is very versatile and adaptable and can work with pretty much all, or will find a way to make it work. But there are some that would be better fit than others.
Best/Most Ideal/Matches With
Mouse/Rat: works off her multitasking, being a team player but also able to work independently, and able to think on her feet.
Tiger: isn't really one for offense to a power tied to eluding and dancing around her opponents is more her alley. I see her taking advantage, tripping opponents up, and it really lets her by nosy and pry into other's business. Especially when she's on the hunt for Hawk Moth.
Rabbit: similar appeal to Tiger. I see her enjoying the super speed, the mobility of it, and could play into her need to get things down quickly and efficiently.
Horse: similar to Tiger and Rabbit. Allows her a lot of mobility and flexibility. I think canon also backs this, I think Marinette uses Horse the most out of the Zodiac.
Goat: plays off her creativity and artistic skill.
Monkey: plays off her be adaptable and swiftly go with the flow, adjusting as needed.
Rooster: plays off her creative thinking and having ideas on how things should go.
Dog: plays off her thieving habit, but also her wanting to help find what is lost, bring happiness to others
Bee: works off her being a team player and a flexible leader, able to give direction but also able to work with others, and she may be extra thrilled to have a chance for people to get a grasp on her way of thinking.
Struggles/Less Ideal/Clashes With
Bull/Ox: clashes with her rather be more indirect in fights instead of direct, she's not one to be confrontational and throw a punch back (at least I don't remember her ever throwing a punch back at Anansi, just more evading her); Marinette though would have the resolve and determination to empower Willpower, giving her great strength and invulnerability. Chances are good she wouldn't use it offensively as the Miraculous is more designed for.
Dragon: similar issue to Bull/Ox, it's designed more for offensive use, to be a powerhouse; more likely to use it as a means to get around quickly, and I think her element would be wind, used to blow back enemies, hide away, and help get civilians out of danger quickly.
Snake: technically would clash with her morals, she is one to give direction to others, but she's not one to really push her agenda onto another and take full control. She would use it as a means to travel unseen or help people with any issues through hypnosis (like Juleka struggles to speak, I could see Marinette using Sway to get her to speak up more).
Pig: Similar issue as Snake, she's not one to really force anything on anyone, I largely see her using it exclusively on akumas to change them up, which with their true colors changed, could get them to release their butterfly, but as it only lasts a day, that akuma could return the next day. If she ever petty enough, I could see her using it on Chloe or Lila, but that's a rare instance I think.
Adrien is more limited as he like to charge in and have the limelight, more go with his gut than think things through.
Best/Most Ideal/Matches With
Mouse/Rat: works off him going with the flow, liking to be apart of a team; honestly I see him going full Naruto in how he uses it, a bunch of Adrien rush in to try and beat up the akuma.
Rabbit: I see him enjoying the super speed and the mobility and swiftness of it, really lets him rush in.
Dragon: plays off him preferring offensive roles and being a powerhouse. For his element, I kinda want to say lightning to play off him being energetic but not as hotheaded as fire would be.
Horse: similar to Tiger, he'd enjoy the mobility and freedom of it, and I can see him using it to get an edge in a fight.
Monkey: plays off him liking to rush in and work on the fly, to be unpredictable and changing.
Dog: plays off his impishness in swiping items, but he's also quick to provide as needed.
Struggles/Less Ideal/Clashes With
Bull/Ox: while it matches with him being more offense and charging in, Adrien himself lacks resolve (best example is him quitting as a hero 3 times), he would be one of the weaker Ox heroes.
Tiger: is more designed to be a stealth ambusher, which requires patience and waiting for that right moment to strike, or to be the one to gather intel and spy. I do see Adrien enjoying the absolute freedom of mobility and able to sneak around his dad, but he doesn't quite have the patience as the stealthy ambusher, nor does he have that nosiness to look into things.
Snake: this power does require some cognitive thinking in how you're going to hypnotize people and to be more working from the shadows, which isn't Adrien's speed; I'm also not fully confident he wouldn't use this power selfishly, I could see him hypnotizing his crush to return his feelings.
Goat: does require imagination and visual artistic talent, which Adrien isn't known for. At least, I haven't seen anything yet of how creative he can be. This one is kinda more up in the air. I think it will require creative thinking in how the paintings will act, and Adrien's not so known for that.
Rooster: does require creative thinking, planning, and some patience, which Adrien is lacking.
Pig: Adrien isn't really one to change who people are, more inclined to learn to live with who people are and let it be.
Bee: does require some leadership capability and able to give direction to others (and your hive), which can lead to things getting disorganized.
Alya is kinda an in between Marinette and Adrien. She likes the limelight, has a tendency to leap before she looks, but she's also more of a thinker and has an eye for detail. She's not as eager to fight, but she is ready to fight back and dominate.
Best/Most Ideal/Matches With
Bull/Ox: plays into her desire to be in the limelight and willingness to fight and stand her ground, plus she's got a strong sense of resolve and determination, backed by her being very pushy and headstrong.
Rabbit: plays off Alya liking to rush in and to speed things along. I see her enjoying the super speed and moving ahead of everyone else.
Dragon: plays into Alya liking the limelight and to take over a situation, to dominate over others. Her element would be fire.
Horse: similar to Rabbit, I see her enjoying that mobility and I can see her pulling it off.
Monkey (just covering it for the ask, I wouldn't give her Monkey): the ability to shapeshifting I can see being up her alley, works with her being in the limelight and to be flexible in what she can do. She could be quite dominating with this power.
Dog: plays into Alya wanting to help and eager to solve other people's problems, to be the solution. Can also play into her being playful and energetic.
Pig: I see Alya readily using this power to change people up, using it to change akumas and throw off Hawk Moth's game; I can also see her using it to change up others and to try and "fix" them, though it's a fix that wouldn't last.
Struggles/Less Ideal/Clashes With
Mouse/Rat: does require capability to be a team player and work with others and Alya isn't a team player. She aims for leadership and to give direction to others, not truly follow another's leadership. Honestly, I see a lot of Alya clones arguing amongst each other as they'll have the idea of what's best to do.
Tiger: it does play off Alya being nosy, she's not one for subtlety and patience. As Tiger allows a lot of potential for a spy, it's not a match for Alya.
Snake: more likely Alya's going to use hypnosis to enact her agenda than using it cleverly, as she's not one to always think her ideas through. I can see her being reckless with the power of hypnosis.
Goat: like Adrien, I don't know how creative Alya is, so it's kinda more up in the air. It does require some creative thinking and to know how the painting will function, and I don't know how creative a thinker Alya is.
Rooster: can play into her pushing her agenda onto others, to have things work out as she likes them to; but it does require some thought put into those rules and patience depending on how and where the rules are written, which Alya isn't so patient and she doesn't take time to think things through.
Bee: would be a struggle, while it does work with Alya wanting to be a leader, it does require working with others/the hive, which Alya isn't so good working with others and is very pushy, so may push her agenda onto others or find her bees will unionize.
Nino is technically the hardest as there's so little of him. What I mostly see is someone stagnant and probably would thrive best being more background/supporting role. Though he is dedicated and loyal and quick to help.
Best/Most Ideal/Matches With
Mouse/Rat: works off Nino being a team player, working well with others and to be a source of support. So many Ninos playing their own rule to help is believable.
Tiger: would be up Nino's alley with invisibility and control of tangibility, allows him the option to avoid fights and sneak around, and he can be nosy as required so he'd be a pretty good Tiger.
Rabbit: I could see Nino working with super speed, be one of those ironically works as he's more easy going, definitely would allow him to keep ahead of danger and evade it, and be a good way to help clear away those in danger.
Snake: plays into Nino's want to be a director, he'll have an idea for "roles" for people to play and getting them to act as he expects them to, I can also see him using it to help people with what they struggle with.
Horse: a lot of similar appeals to Rabbit.
Goat: plays into his interest of being a director and his creative thinking, his paintings can play out the "roles" he has in mind.
Rooster: also plays into him wanting to be a director, having an idea on how things should play out, and capable of creative thinking.
Dog: plays into his willingness to help and provide, also plays off his loyalty and devotion.
Pig: can play into his want to be a director, adjusting someone's behavior to enact as he desires, and I can see him readily using it on akumas to return them to a civilian.
Bee: works off him willing to work with others and potential leadership skills, and liking everyone to be on the same page.
Struggles/Less Ideal/Clashes With
Bull/Ox: clashes as he's not one to be on the front lines and fight. Like, push comes to shove, sure, but it's not his initial response to do so. Also how determined he'd be is up in the air. I can't say how much resolve he has and how he'd be as an Ox.
Dragon: similar issues as Ox, this is one of the more offense based Zodiac and it's just not up his alley. I do think his element would be water.
Monkey (just for this ask): I think he could pull off shapeshifting, but it's also designed to be involved in fights and it's just not who he is.
Chloe would definitely be more of a aggressor/powerhouse, eager to dominate and show off what she can do. She'd also aim for the limelight, and would have a hard time working with others. By how she is, not a lot clicks with her well. By default, there's no Miraculous I'd really entrust with her.
Best/Most Ideal/Matches With
Bull/Ox: matches with her being aggressive and headstrong, she's very determined and bullheaded; she'd definitely be one of the strongest Ox users.
Dragon: similar appeal to Bull/Ox, letting her be a powerhouse, bonus it can reflect how monstrous she is. Her element would be fire.
Monkey: allows her to be a powerhouse, throw her weight around, and to be volatile. She'd probably just stick to making herself big than turn into an animal, those would be beneath her.
Pig: would play into her liking to make changes that suit her needs, especially with people; definitely would abuse it to make people meek and obedient. Can play off her being pigheaded.
Struggles/Less Ideal/Clashes With
Mouse/Rat: Chloe does not work well with others, and is incredibly egotistical. More than likely her clones would fight amongst themselves and with her and it'd be hilarious to watch.
Tiger: does require subtlety and patience, which Chloe is lacking.
Rabbit: does require some awareness of her surroundings and having an eye for detail, which Chloe is not known for. Most likely to run away laughing and trip over something. She'd be like a Looney Tune character sliding through the dirt.
Snake: would play into her liking full control over others and having slaves, but does require being smart with it, which she's not.
Horse: does require awareness of her surroundings and Chloe is not so aware of her surroundings. I can see her teleporting herself places she shouldn't, too caught up in herself.
Goat: Chloe is not known for her creativity.
Rooster: would play into her liking full control and writing out the law, but does require creative thinking, she's not creative nor does she think things through.
Dog: technically can use it, but she'd use it to just bring her what she wants than actually help people which clashes with the Miraculous' purpose.
Bee: the bees would unionize the very first order she gives, and Pollen wouldn't not grant her any power at all. So she'd be pretty useless as a hero.
Felix is one that's also a bit tricky, while canon did bring him back, everyone also has their own idea on Felix and what he's like, and canon's more of a gremlin than what most people initially thought of Felix. For the sake of this, I'll stick with canon, who from what I saw is a master manipulator, thief, and actor, though struggles with forming connections and working with others. And definitely a more his own agenda sort.
Best/Most Ideal/Matches With
Tiger: would very much be up Felix's alley with invisibility and control of tangibility. He'd be the perfect stealth attacker, and it can play off him being nosy and looking into his targets, sleuthing around unseen.
Rabbit: I also see him playing well into super speed, able to keep ahead of enemies and strike them unaware, keep them on their toes.
Dragon: Felix has the aggression to go offensive, would go big and powerful to dominate his enemies. His element would be ice.
Snake: plays into him manipulating others and having the cunning to do so, to get others to play to his tune.
Horse: similar appeal to Rabbit, able to work well with that mobility.
Goat: I can see him creative and clever enough to make use of his animated paintings.
Monkey: similar appeal to Dragon, I can see him making use of the diversity Monkey offers, able to be aggressive, sneaky, and cunning with Monkey's power.
Rooster: similar to Goat, I can see him having the creative cunning to use Rooster's power and he does like to play by his rules. He'd definitely be petty and spiteful with it though.
Dog: plays into him as a skilled thief, can also play into him caring deeply for those he cherishes and eager to provide for them.
Pig: similar to Snake, plays into playing into his rules and desiring people to play into his own tune, to make changes that work with him.
Struggles/Less Ideal/Clashes With
Mouse/Rat: technically up in the air, I could see him using it well, but he does struggle to work with others, so many Felixes may clash and struggle to work together.
Bull/Ox: also kinda up in the air, it can play into him willing to stand his ground and fight back, but not sure how resolved/determined he is.
Bee: similar to Mouse, he can struggle working with others and his bees may unionize; also with Hive Mind, he may not be so keen to share his mind with others, though he'd be tempted to see the thoughts of others, it's a two way road.
Kagami is definitely a speedy powerhouse, not aiming to have attention and be the big hero, but she's ready to fight and dive in. She can struggle working with others.
Best/Most Ideal/Matches With
Bull/Ox: plays into her aggression, determination, being bullheaded, and charging right in. It'd be really up her alley. She'd be one of the strongest Ox users.
Rabbit: give how she likes to rush in, I can see super speed being up her alley.
Dragon: similar appeal to Ox, I can see her embracing the chance to be a powerhouse and dominate a fight. I think her element would be lightning.
Horse: similar appeal to Rabbit, I see her thriving with the option of mobility.
Goat: plays into her being creative, though her paintings may be more straight forward in function.
Monkey: similar appeal to Dragon, I can see her making use of that diversity and able to dominate a fight.
Struggles/Less Ideal/Clashes With
Mouse/Rat: Kagami struggles to work with others so I can see a bunch of Kagamis clashing or be disorganized.
Tiger: isn't quite designed to be aggressive and more subtle, which is not who Kagami is.
Rooster: Kagami I don't see having the patience or creative thinking required, she'd rather rush in and fight. Which is hard when all you have is a quill.
Dog: Kagami isn't really one to provide for others. I can also see this power boring her as the ball does the work for her.
Pig: I don't see Kagami invested in changing who people are.
Bee: similar issues with Mouse, I can see the bees having issues with Kagami and her direction, with Hive Mind, Kagami may not be so comfortable with that level of connection.
Zoe is a harder one for me as I haven't seen much of her, I don't know how much more she got expanded upon (I think she got Cat temporarily, so hopefully that brought something, though RIP ever seeing Cat Nino, we can't let Nino have anything). But I see her play more into a support role, being more an actor/manipulator than an aggressor.
Best/Most Ideal/Matches With
Mouse/Rat: plays into Zoe willing to adjust and work with others, so I can see a lot of Zoes able to work together.
Tiger: can play into her potential being stealthy, not wanting attention or to stand out, and having an eye for detail that can make her a good spy/sneak.
Rabbit: I can see her working with super speed.
Snake: I can see her pulling off hypnosis, getting others to swing her way, having an eye for detail to make it work.
Horse: I can see her working with teleportation.
Monkey: given her skill to act and adjust herself to fit various roles, she would thrive with Monkey's diversity and shapeshifting.
Dog: play into Zoe's desire to provide, assist, and please.
Pig: can work off her manipulative nature, her desire to change people for the better, to be accepted and fit in.
Bee: I can see Zoe working with her own hive well, and her open to letting people in.
Struggles/Less Ideal/Clashes With
Bull/Ox: I don't see Zoe to be much of an aggressor, and can't say how strong her resolve is.
Dragon: similar issue with Ox, don't see her much of an aggressor aiming to dominate. I think her element would be water.
Rooster: I don't see Zoe inclined to write out rules and put down restrictions.

where everyone from glee ends up in the beautiful beautiful better canon that exists in my head (ft. help from @girlmeetsghoul)
this got... really long so i'm putting it under a keep reading
rachel — broadway. obviously. does NOT marry jesse but they do date again and perhaps even get engaged and they remain in weird toxic kinda gay love for the rest of their lives on the downlow. she ends up getting married at around 40 to someone else (if young rachel berry knew she wouldn't get married until FOURTY!!!). also on/off dates finn for many years. it is a much more dramatic deal to her than it is to him he's relatively chill about it albeit confused and passionate. she is characteristically a drama queen. ends up in nyc
finn — i do think he ends up an educator in the burbs like they actually were dead on w that one i don't think he'd do glee or anything but teacher fs. realizes he's bisexual at age 32 while married to a woman so it's a revelation that he can't really act on but it gives rachel an existential crisis when she hears abt it which is funny. part of this revelation does come from one of his students being gay and on the football team and finn having a troy bolton moment of realizing you can do both. ends up in a suburb of chicago
kurt  — stanley tucci in devil wears prada. also he expats in berlin for like a year or two. dates an accountant. ends up in nyc
mercedes — canon, absolute worldwide singing star. glee did very few things right when it came to mercedes but having her be a successful singer was correct. ends up w someone famous in their own right but in a Very different way than her like her fans do not know who that person is. ends up in LA
brittana — they don't stay together after high school but they do reconnect a little later after santana has a freakout crisis and drops out of school (canon) but instead of moving to ny and doing all that she moves to LA and ends up as the world's craziest talent agent. and britt runs a dispo and does goat yoga. end up in LA
blaine — okay the first thing you have to know about me is i am a blam truther forever and always. anyway blaine goes to nyu not nyada and most of that drama with kurt happens just to a much lesser extent cuz theyre not at school together so he does end up graduating, maybe takes a gap year in the middle tho. but also blaine starts getting really into local politics and after a few off off off bway roles that don't really lead to anything bigger and a lot of stressful fighting w kurt he decides actually he wants his new goal in life to be becoming a city council member. he and kurt still have the world's best most toxic insane person on/off relationship until theyre like 28 and then a blam romcom ensues. nyc til early/mid 30s, then he and sam move to the burbs (potentially in the state sam grew up in?) to raise a kid
sam — bumpy twisty turny road for him, feels like he should go to college/should want to go to college but does not want to go. wanders around lima for a year or two getting by and trying to find his #purpose and moves to nyc essentially on a whim after a phone call w blaine and is like hi i live in your house now. maybe the modeling thing for a bit? but less weird than in the show. some samcedes for a bit bc i am a fucking sucker for them <3 anyway eventually sam becomes a comix artist. he meets gerard way and doesnt know who he is and tina wants to throttle him about this. nyc til early/mid 30s, then he and blaine move to the burbs (potentially in the state sam grew up in?) to raise a kid
tina — kiki and i have such a beautiful tina in our brains anyway she makes some kind of awful art that sells way better than it should and becomes a trophy wife to a hot lesbian doctor and also once or twice collabs w sam on smth. no one knows what degree she got from brown even she's not entirely sure. stoner. fucks rachel's co-star at some point and it gives rachel 1000000 problems. ends up in nyc
quinn — academia (english) or law. the only ppl she has talked to from hs since graduation are cedes and brittana and she is so happy to not give a single shit about anyone else. i love you quinn go get lesbian married and write a book. i can't get into the one (1) time rachel and quinn see each other post canon cuz that would be a whole other post but trust me i have many thoughts on that. ends up somewhere almost rural in the northeast but not Too far from a city if that makes sense
mike — does the dance thing, i think probably hes on some tours which means blaine and sam have to put up with tina on the phone w him for hours giving him life updates like every single day (theyre not dating anymore obv but they are besties also there's like one year where blamtina are all living together i have an insane amount of headcanon lore dont worry abt it). gets married to the most normal person in the world and sometimes casually drops lore about highschool and his partner is like i dont think the midwest is a real place. ends up right outside of nyc
artie — director ofc. like mike ends up w someone in the same industry who is relatively normal but also like so obviously grew up in santa monica and was a child actor. ends up in LA
puck — travels a bit to ~find himself~, ends up back in lima doing a relatively normal job and settles down w a wife and becomes the most intense guy at the pta. his ass is organizing bake sales up the wazoo. as mentioned ends up back in lima

So, about the ending for my sequel fic. I have musings about what might happen in Malleus and Rollo's lives after the fic ends
Spoilers and stuff. Also things might get weird. This isn't like ~canon~ to the fic necessarily but they are the vibes I get
First, the goat, since I've thought about this a lot.
Rollo will take Mallenette to some kind of farm with the intention of picking out a goat. Mallenette will see a hunchbacked one that is not conventionally cute and insist on it, wailing and crying when Rollo initially refuses. Begrudgingly, he adopts the goat for her. Mallenette and the goat become great friends, but the goat seems to like Rollo over all others and even follows him around the castle. Rollo is unsettled by the goat's appearance and initially tries to avoid Sunday. There'll be a scene where Sunday's following him and Rollo hurries to lose him, but he'll bleat pathetically because he can't keep up. Guilty, Rollo will wait for it. Sunday'll catch up and then bleat a thank you. Anyway, it'll be really cute, I swear.
If anyone asked, he would be like, "I hate Sunday," while totally petting him. Very "no we can't get a cat" dad energy
In the novel, Frollo and Quasimodo are initially close because Frollo raises him as best he can, teaches him sign language because he's deaf, etc, and Quasimodo is kinda devoted to him. So, he will come to love Sunday.
Next, and the weirdest, is that Malleus will eventually think to himself, "Rollo will die. but I can magically store his seed and keep having his children even after he's gone... then it will be like having a new piece of him, over and over" and he'll just do that without consulting anyone, let alone Rollo. Not sure how many children is 'normal' for fae, but Malleus will have more than that for sure
if this happens, let's say he tops out at 25 kids because by then he'll have a realization like "maybe this isn't a good idea" but it'll be too late. If you have that many heirs that are raised kind of independently of each other, what might happen? Succession fights~ At least for the ones that decide they want to stay in Briar Valley, I imagine some would be like "Eh, fuck this, I'll go live with humans." What if a bunch kill each other to try and gain the throne? Considering their double villain heritage and Rollo's schemin' genes, things would probably get bad unless they were directed into something else or they were taken out of the running for the throne. Maybe only children born while Rollo was alive count? Kinda fucked up but it would limit the amount in line to about 4ish. Also, who's raising these kids? That's a lot of nannies...
Either way, Mallenette, being the eldest and probably the one Malleus favors because she is his heir, will survive and claim the throne. I think her reign would be a struggle because the fae around her would see her as lesser. She would be pressured to produce heirs asap since she won't live as long as a normal fae. She'll end up marrying a fae, but one of low rank, so they can't make any attempts to supplant her as queen
Okay, getting away from that...
Third, they'll have like four kids. Mallenette, another girl, a boy, and I dunno another girl maybe. Once they have a little boy, Rollo is going to unconsciously favor him. He may even spoil him, resulting in a brat child (kind of like Jehan in the novel), but hopefully he doesn't go all in. I figure with maturity he might be able to stop himself. He'll also want to name him Jehan, but Malleus will veto that for good reason. Rollo'll have to settle for Jehan as a middle name
Rollo's efforts to spread the fae method of detecting magical ability before birth has some success. In the Shaftlands it might become standard practice, but other places could see it as an unnecessary expense. Still, his efforts will help some children and that is progress
When Rollo dies, Malleus will have him buried in the City of Flowers. he'll make a whole royal visit to the city, deal with ambassadors and local government etc, so he can attend the funeral. The gargoyles will also attend, but Malleus will be so distraught that he won't be able to talk to them
Malleus'll be in mourning for the rest of his life. I imagine knowing their king is so devoted to one human that might ease some of the anti-human sentiment in Briar Valley. Some maybe would have assumed he had a human fetish or something before
Also, Sebek will brag about Mallenette and the other kids as if they were his children. Speaking of him, I imagine Malleus and Rollo's kids will go through a "I hate being half-human" phase, too. Their father can transform into a sick dragon, but they can't, they can't teleport, etc. Though I also wouldn't be surprised if one of them felt closer to human culture and instead lamented being a horned weirdo that people are afraid of.
That's all I can think of for now. If anyone has questions or something, I'd be happy to answer, too

Mortals AU (Comic Aurora)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Paragraph time baybee!! (Characters are from @comicaurora) The Mortals AU is an AU where the gods (excluding any race gods and a few handpicked idea gods) have become mortal characters. This story has a significantly lighter tone than the canon and would follow an episodic format.
I separated the gods I liked into three groups for their mortal versions, while there are other gods who are characters and just not prominent (I will be listing those):
Our Main Duo:
Vash, a Crucible who is missing one of his arms after burning it off when he was younger during a storm. He is searching for the forging god Tahraim so that he can make him a sword. Caliban is just watching him take on a wild goose chase while they stay in Tahraim’s forge. They haven’t told Tahraim yet. He is an oddity due to him having blue eyes, I made that correlate with his fire for aesthetic reasons. His eyes also always are flaming because I wanted him to resemble himself in canon. Zuurith, a hedgehog ferin who serves under the Paladins and has a desire to protect the ones around him. Boy is a little bit angsty. He can pass as an elf with rather unkempt hair. I decided that he figured out how to weaponize his spines but when he was younger the paladins who raised him constantly were getting scratched, those scratches remain to this day. These two are our main two who are both. a little bit of dumbasses and funny little guys. They are definitely less of rivals in this AU and are pretty evenly matched in fighting. Vash is more carefree and Zuurith is trying his best to keep him out of trouble. Zuurith likes to pretend he’s the reasonable one of the duo but he’s just as much of a dumbass (Affectionate) as Vash.   Next we have Tynan, a metalcaste who was struck by lightning after being born near the Elemental Storm before he could ever have thoughts of his own and when he was sparked he ran off only to fall into a life of underground fighting. Thank god bc this boy hasn’t killed anyone yet out of fear of ruining the shows for his audience, our boy travels alone. Tynan, Vash and Zuurith met after Vash had been curious about the underground fighting, while reluctant, he managed to drag Zuurith along. We have the classic anime trope of an unbeatable fighter getting beaten by our protagonist and since Tynan isn’t a god damn murderer in this AU, they became sort of friends? Zuurith does not like the guy but since he hasn’t technically done anything yet, he can’t really do anything.
The next characters I do not have art for but I do have some brainrot. This is our third group which is a travelling group composed of:
Ilia, an elf of Sekrai descent who is a powerful water mage. I looked at Ilia in canon and went “Yeah she probably would be a focused and practiced fighter”. Ilia is one of the strongest out of the cast and I gave her a neat little tattoo on her upper back that glows when she fights. She wears a lot of clothing made of Windsilk that is similar to that of the clothing that Elven nobility wear, along with a lot of her clothes having an open back. Gleicann, he is a Gladestrider with a goat bottom half and serves as sort of a replacement for Alinua in terms of power. He is a life mage who Ilia found one day while travelling and from that day onward they decided to be besties. He is a lot less volatile than Alinua and is more relaxed, also I did keep the big guy design that he has currently, even if he didn’t have it always. I am a sucker for big guys with big hearts. Skieron, my boy! He is a swampstrider and while a lot of things aren’t known about him in canon, I still made a few guesses. Skieron is basically what connects the entire main cast together, he became friends with Vash after he had come from the Ignan Deserts and is what brought Vash and Zuurith to know Gleicann and Ilia. After that he met Tynan through Vash.
Side characters!
Asera is an elven and scientist scholar, Zuurith knows them through paladin work and Ilia does too. They are known in the scientific community for their unorthodox methods but they have gathered knowledge on some of the most important discoveries and have gone through a lot of effort to build connections to as many groups as possible Shayansi and Sennaia are both of stygian elf descent and are a travelling duo of a storyteller and a scholar. Shayansi spins the truth and stretches it, both to make a better story and to infuriate Sennaia, while all Sennaia can do is look angrily on as their partner decides to fuck up history. The Twins! I am indecisive about them! There are two possible routes I can go with them, but for the sake of simplicity I am just going with the idea that they are a pair of mysterious artists who hide away in the mountains and are rumored to resemble the gods that made the world. Vash and Zuurith meet them on their travels and spend the majority of their visit not seeing them because shock and horror, they don’t have enough time to split between commissions and talking to guests.

In response to THIS POST, so that I don't hijack the poor OP's thunder.
Just in case anyone ever decides to furrify my characters, here's a guide: Gabriel: a German shepherd that's flunked out of service dog training, but still tries to open every door and retrieve every shoe he can find. Tracey: a small, mischievous, angry goat that is furiously trying to headbutt you in the shins while screaming and spitting. Pertwee: that one alley cat that lives on every campus, that is scraggly as hell but has gotten ridiculously spoiled by the students and faculty. Billy: a very sweet stag-moose that just ate your pothead cousin's weed crop and is now unintentionally terrifying anyone who watches too many cryptid TikToks. Agent Miller: an adorably fluffy chicken, who has just remembered that she's the closest living relative to the Tyrannosaurus rex. Good luck. Sarah: an elderberry shrub. Elias: a huge swan, who is just as willing to stand there and be beautiful as he is to do graphic things to you that will up this story's parental advisory warnings... take that as you will. The Reliquus: honestly, not much changes here, they're still an incomprehensible horror from beyond reality. Maybe one of those giant bugs from the Late Carboniferous Period? Rionce: a triceratops that is trying very, very hard to look like a three-horned chameleon. Brooke/Brook: Is that a puma? He says he's a puma. He... kinda looks like a puma, though the build's not right... he casually mentions that he's had some dental work done in the past... Deimos: Seeing as how she's a dog in canon, it only seems logical to make her human here...

For the very patient people who have waited so long for updates on What You Cast Out, I swear, I'm still slowly working on it. It's just that life has been a bit awkward lately, and a lot about my home life has changed dramatically in the last 6 months. We're stabilizing, though. I'm getting ready to start re-releasing it in 2024, possibly via Patreon or Ko-Fi. And I am MORE than willing to discuss the options via DM or asks! @wedgie-of-destiny, @nightacquainted, @storminmywake, @brokenandlonelysouls, @tattur, @theamazingchickenman, @solstice-muse-collective, @axl-ul, @doublegoblin

Detailed Fic Rec - Four Christmases Pomona Sprout Loved and One She Hated
Pairing - Pomona/Aberforth
Length - 6800 words. 4+1 Format.
Author - kelly_chambliss
Rating - T
TL;DR - Read this because the fic is a beautiful and 100% convincing take on the rare pair. Pomona, her BFF McG and Aberforth totally come alive here. Bittersweet, real and 100% Christmas vibes. ALSO KELLY CHAMBLISS <3
ALSO FIRST FIC REC FOR 2023!!!! Best fic to start the year honestly!!!!
Rec Blurb
Keeping it real!
This fic keeps it real. I really felt her pain because when you are an adult making new friends is super hard!
As a Hogwarts student, one was surrounded by hundreds of same-age potential friends, and Pomona had never realised how isolating the castle could be for the adults within its walls. She was becoming fast friends with Poppy and with Filius Flitwick, and of course Minerva was like a sister to her, but the fact was, if you were a sociable extrovert, you needed more than three friends, no matter how excellent they were.
The BEST Aberforth Dumbledore
Snarkiest!!!! <3 I am a big fan of how this author writes The Abe D! Actually I am a big fan of this author. FAVE! <3
Aberforth grinned wryly. "Let's hope that when my time comes, you don't lose me in quite the same way. A venomous tentacula! I ask you. I'd like to think that the lover of Hogwarts's star herbologist would be able to avoid death by poisonous plant."
Also the best relationship progression
A lot of times rarepairs can feel kind of hard to believe because the characters don't have canon time together. This author is an expert at making the rarepairs connect. You are totally going to be convinced. ALSO BANTER. I love relationship progression with banter. Lots of banter in this fic. Smart + funny banter also! My favorite type of banter <3
"So I won't be seeing you on Christmas Day, then?" Ab had asked.
Pomona had looked at him with a teasing air of innocence. "That's totally up to you. You know you're more than welcome to come to the ball. We'll be dancing till the wee hours."
Ab had snorted. "I'll dance till the wee hours when You-Know-Who decides to give up megalomania and join me in the goat business."
Then he'd added, more seriously, "But if it really matters to you, Pommie, I'll come. Not even the thought of Albus waltzing in purple robes will keep me away."
Characterizations!!!
Of course flirting/good times/fun stuff is good. But the real characterization depth shines in some of the more bittersweet parts here. Love love love love <3
Yes, the Death Eaters were winning.
For now. They would be overthrown, though. They would. Harry Potter was still out there somewhere, still alive, still fighting for what was right. One day he would return to lead them all into victorious battle against the forces of darkness.
She believed it. She had to. It was the only way she could navigate the hell that Hogwarts had become.
HAPPY ENDING!
A really beautiful earned happy ending <3
The chill welcomed her like an old friend, and Pomona had never been so happy to see the dusty, sparsely-furnished rooms and threadbare carpets. Ariana smiled at them from her portrait above the fireplace and even sketched a small wave.
They were home.

Oh see, while I'm sure I'd feel rather hunted if I actually like, met a giant jackrabbit man who looked like That, when I saw your picture something about him triggered an instant cute aggression response hard. Which I'm not usually prone to, so that was an interesting experience lol. My second response was the same one I had the first time I saw the Hisuian Zoroark design, which was to vibrate out of my skin over how cool it looked followed immediately by the intense desire hug and pet it. Considering that the only reason I actually got pla was because I wanted a Zoroark, that's certainly saying something. I'm a big fan of emaciated-looking character designs, especially when it makes them look kinda haunted or feral, and you hit it spot on, perfect 10/10.
Oh good, I'm glad you don't mind! If I do end up posting some of them, I'll let you know (if you want me to) and link back to your drawing so that people know the credit for the fantastic character designs go to you!
That's true, the Galaxy Team and Ginko Guild would have the widest variety since they probably come from all over, though there are enough marshland and heat-adapted animals out there that the Diamond Clan probably is pretty diverse too. The Pearl Clan would definitely be the least diverse in general though, because there are only so many types of land animals that are able to live full time in a tundra. And I could see Ginter as a goat! Or like a donkey or malamute that hauls stuff around.
Though here's something I just thought of, would Sabi be considered unlucky to the Diamond Clan as an arctic animal? She's not really safe to stay in the mirelands, which might be part of why they made her a warden so early, so she can't ever come home for very long. And unlike in the Pearl Clan, the Diamond Clan probably would view that as a type of exile, because she doesn't have the option of spending time with the clan as a whole. Right now she still has her baby fluff so technically she could have had more time with them, but maybe when Braviary's old warden retired (or died), Adaman thought it best to just move Sabi into that position once it was clear that they got along, just so that she wouldn't have to actually be exiled when she got too old to safely stay. When they meet up they have to do it in the highlands where it's not too cold for Adaman and not too hot for Sabi. She herself doesn't actually mind, because she's young enough that she probably hasn't actually internalized their beliefs that much, but I bet it's hard being a kid without your family or friends to play with anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up going a little bit feral living out there with just herself and wild pokemon around for the most part, but if she really got hungry for people interaction she could always hang out with or prank people in the highlands, and with how young she is even the Pearl Clan might tolerate her being around more than they have any other Diamond Clan member in the past.
Oh, actually, maybe when Irida makes that first step by asking Adaman for help with Ingo, it opens him up to asking Irida for help with Sabi after he decides to make her a warden. But where Irida just wanted advice on how to keep Ingo, you know, alive longer, Adaman was asking if Irida could maybe look out for Sabi, at least somewhat, just so that a tiny child doesn't die out in the wastes because she didn't know how to find/cook food or take care of a wound like an adult would. Although, even if he didn't, I think that noble pokemon don't actually care about Clan lines, so if she did get hurt Braviary would probably just drop her off at the Pearl Clan settlement and demand she get treated, and like hell are they going to go against a noble's wishes, which is something I could see happening in canon. Lmao, that's a great point about Mai and Ingo though, I can see that exact interaction perfectly. She tried, not her fault if he doesn't want to listen.
Lol, Very Complicated is right! In OoP, Kamado was able to get to her in a moment of weakness, but you can tell throughout that Irida cares about Ingo and had in fact trusted him quite a lot, enough to vouch for him and confide in him about her role as a leader in any case. This is just taking that up a notch or two by mixing in the fear that comes from knowing there is a good chance her friend might die. That is an excellent plot device, plus it'd be very fitting considering that he saved Sneasler and now her domain is one of the only places he can actually safely be. He was, it'd look to them, clearly meant to be her warden with how neatly things had slotted together. I'm not sure if Irida would divulge how poorly Ingo was doing, but if the people of the Pearl Clan were prone to traveling around there'd surely be at least a few people who saw Ingo for themselves, especially if part of his role was helping them traverse safely through. So they'd know this nice, helpful, polite man (who, yes, is frankly very odd), the man who had saved their noble and was destined to serve her, was consistently looking worse and worse. Maybe they bring it up with Irida and she has to explain what she knows, and some of them start bringing things for him when they know they're headed his way, like food or mittens to replace his lost gloves or something. What he loses in a long term ability to survive in Hisui he makes up for by gaining a little bit of community.
hehehe that's so fun i love that, ty. i can for sure get the cute aggression response too. fucked up jackrabbit guy...
:0 yeah i'd love to see it if you end up posting it!! for sure!!
donkey is another option for ginter, yeah... or maybe an ox? something that's good for hauling and pulling large weights. very funny in comparison to his employee, a dove, the least draft animal to ever exist,
oof, you're right, sabi would probably have a pretty tough time in the mirelands as a penguin. she's definitely way more suited to the region where she's warden than the one where she was actually, like, born. i wonder if there's something where she's like, a child of the previous warden, and the Animal Roulette got confused about which region was "home" and went with an arctic animal because her parent spent so much time in the icelands. (...something something, au where braviary's former warden was sabi's mom and her father is gaeric, who hasn't told her or anyone else bc of clan tensions, but now she's taken the position so he has an excuse to keep an eye on her under the guise of assisting his fellow warden)
also the idea of her just wandering into the pearl settlement to hang out, aww. the other kids probably wouldn't think too much of it, depending on when they get taught about clan affiliations and all that (and besides, she's a warden, aren't the rules kind of different around there?) so they're happy to play games with her until braviary calls her back to go do warden stuff. that would have its own issues, though, if the diamond clan grows concerned that pearl might be manipulating their warden... teaching her about the False Sinnoh and trying to convince her to change allegiances, disrupting the balance throughout all hisui... (they're not doing any such thing, in fact the adults probably avoid discussing sinnoh with her as much as possible, but you know how people are)
i wonder if, if she's already hanging out with pearl enough, it might not go in the other order. like, it's adaman who first asks irida (or the pearl wardens or something) to keep an eye out for sabi, because it's really nonstandard to have a warden this young and yeah he's worried about her, ok? this concerns them too, anyway, since wardens are sort of both clans' business. and it's that shaky gesture of trust that prompts irida (because this is, strictly speaking, interfering in ingo's business and she isn't sure how he'll take it) to ask him about ingo, later.
and yeah of course it would look to them like ingo was like, sent to be sneasler's warden. though i wonder if, even if some of them saw him, they'd even notice how much he'd changed, considering they probably see him only infrequently and most of what they remember is "weird alarming rabbit thing" which is a description he just fits better than ever, lol. still, though, they'd probably pick it up via behavior if nothing else—that he constantly seems only half-present in conversation, etc—and do what you said re: trying to help them to the extent that they're able

Love Me Forever (Or Not At All)
Fandom: 镇魂 | Guardian Ship: Kunlun/Shen Wei Words: 2.1k Tags: Vampire AU, vampire!Kunlun, human!Shen Wei, Kunlun raises Shen Wei, non-graphic descriptions of vampire sex, blood drinking, casual mentions of violence, power imbalance, Canonical Major Character Death, backstory
Summary: Kunlun always wanted a pet, but he didn't ask for a human. The kid grows on him, anyway. In more ways than one.
A/N: For @guardianbingo‘s square “Baby Shen Wei”. Read here on Ao3. Part of the All Is Written In Blood series. [Main fic | Ficlet 1]
*
Kunlun could feel the tension through the bond an hour before Nüwa and the contingent of vampires she took with her arrived back at the lair. Like his sisters and brothers, he greeted her in the courtyard. Unlike his flock siblings, he was singled out immediately by Nüwa's piercing gaze. She landed in front of him, her children scattering to make space. Usually, their dame was of an even temperament, but they could all feel her barely restraint temper.
More unusually even, she was carrying a bundle, plopping it down in front of him. Kunlun's nostrils flared as the scent of the small thing hit him. A human.
Prey.
"Here," Nüwa said brusquely, pushing the child forward. It stumbled and fell to its knees before Kunlun. "You wanted a pet, well, there you go."
The small thing cowered before him, its eyes huge and wide.
"What am I supposed to do with… that?" Kunlun objected, his nose wrinkling. "It's too small to be worth more than a snack."
Nüwa waved him off with a dismissive snap of her wrist, a sneer twisting her mouth.
"What do I care? Just make sure it survives to adulthood," she ordered, stalking past him with a sweep of her long sleeves. Kunlun barely caught her mutter under her breath, "Shennong has some nerve, making such nonsensical demands."
Kunlun narrowed his eyes, his quick mind putting the pieces together. Lord Shennong had called for a meeting, and as he was the strongest amongst their kind, the vampire gentry complied. Like all those in power, Shennong too liked to rub his strength in the lords' and ladies' faces, reminding them of their place. Presumably, he'd decided on a competition this time, handing a human child to each flock and tasking them to raise it. For what purpose, Kunlun could only guess. Most likely, the idea of having the proud gentry raise their prey simply amused him.
"Rise," Kunlun commanded, and the child scrambled to its feet. He eyed its small frame, swimming in the robes it was bundled in. At least it had fine features, elegant eyebrows and cheekbones. It might yet grow up to be a beauty.
Satisfied, Kunlun nodded and turned on his heel, gesturing for the child to follow him.
First things first, he had to figure out what to feed the child. He'd been turned long ago, he barely remembered what it was like, but he had a vague memory of eating fruit and drinking goat's milk. Now, where to get a goat…
*
The child took to trailing Kunlun everywhere he went, sometimes literally clinging to his robes. His wide eyes took everything in—with fear or awe, Kunlun couldn't tell. It made it easier to look after the kid, though, having him stick close. Kunlun found that he didn't mind.
"The mountain has a shadow," Nüwa teased him at one point. "A little mountain ghost, hm?"
The nickname stuck.
Xiao Wei was a bright child, if shy. He would only talk to Kunlun and usually waited until they were alone. He had his hands full, between his fumbling attempts at raising the kid and fending off his hungry brethren when they got tempted by the fresh smell of blood (did all human children skin their knees or cut open their palms this often? Xiao Wei liked climbing rocks far too much for Kunlun's liking.) At some point, he realized that he'd gained xiao Wei's trust.
The realization hit him like a gut punch, as xiao Wei offered him a necklace made of teeth. He had no idea how xiao Wei had gotten his hands on them, ranging from animal teeth to demonic and vampiric fangs. It was a macabre gift, and Kunlun floundered, realizing his little ghost had grown up. He was nearly as tall as Kunlun, these days, maybe half a head smaller still. Kunlun had no idea how old he was. When did humans finish growing?
“Do you remember your life before you came here?” Kunlun asked him casually one evening, trying to hide how intently he was listening for an answer. He’d never thought to ask the kid how old he was back then, a fact he know regretted. He hadn’t asked much of anything, really, not interested in the sob story of some tiny human.
Had he always been so cruel?
“...not much,” xiao Wei finally said, slowly and carefully as if trying to gauge the right answer. Kunlun felt his stomach turn over with guilt. Seeming to sense Kunlun's disappointment, xiao Wei quickly added, “I have a younger brother.”
“Ah?” Kunlun perked up at the mention. Maybe he could reunite xiao Wei with his family, once this charade was over. He ignored the pang he felt at considering losing the kid – but a vampire’s lair was no place for a human. Already, his brothers and sisters were irritated with him for holding them back from an easy meal, only Nüwa’s sharp command holding them back. And once Shennong grew weary of his little challenge and withdrew his connection…
No. It was better for xiao Wei to return to his own kind.
*
The first time xiao Wei offered him his wrist, Kunlun refused.
Same for the second, and third time. After that, xiao Wei stopped offering, and Kunlun thought the matter settled.
He should have known better.
*
"You've done well, my child," Nüwa praised him. "Shennong was pleased seeing how well you've raised the human."
"Thank you, my lady." Kunlun bowed deep in respect. A measure of warmth filled his bones, knowing he had served his dame well. It finally settled his nerves, on high alert the entire time he’d escorted Lady Nüwa to Shennong’s court, to present their charge before him. Xiao Wei had been the healthiest of the children entrusted to the various flocks, leaving no one in doubt who won the competition. It left Nüwa in a great mood.
Xiao Wei was kneeling with his head bowed beside Kunlun, his shoulder pressing against Kunlun's thigh.
“Your little ghost truly grew up well under your guidance,” she mused, tilting her head as she let her gaze drift over xiao Wei’s bent form. A shiver of foreboding ran through Kunlun. “It’s almost a shame to waste such beauty. Oh well.” Flipping her hair over her shoulder with a dismissive flick of her hand, Nüwa bared her fangs in a grin. “As reward for a service well done, you may have the first taste, my child.”
"No," Kunlun snapped, and the hall grew silent. No one shifted so much as a finger, all eyes on their brother who dared defy their queen. Kunlun raised his chin under their regard.
"No?" Nüwa inquired, her tone deceptively mild.
"He's my pet, and his name is Wei. You gave him to me, and I can do with him as I like," Kunlun declared brazenly. He could feel xiao Wei startle at his new name. But then, Kunlun planned to offer him the bite, once he was ready, and Ghost was no proper name for a vampire.
"Wei…" Nüwa repeated, her glowing gaze shifting to xiao Wei. Kunlun had to fight down the urge to hide him from view with his cloak. "Lofty as your aspirations, my child. Very well. You have earned yourself a boon, do with him as you like."
Xiao Wei threw him a confused sideways look, but hurried along to follow him out of the hall, sticking close with all those eyes on them.
If Kunlun still had a heart, it would be beating rapidly in his chest.
*
The first time he drunk from his sweet xiao Wei, it wasn’t from the wrist but the thigh.
His flock mocked him for taking his pet to bed, but Kunlun could read the jealousy and envy carved into their disdainful masks. His xiao Wei had grown up beautifully, even Shennong had acknowledged it. Several of them approached xiao Wei behind Kunlun's back, cajoling and bribing and trying their best to seduce him, but xiao Wei calmly and politely rejected all of their advances.
Only one of them tried to enthrall him. Kunlun staked him through the chest, narrowly missing his heart, and left him stuck in the courtyard to wait for sunrise. A clear warning for his siblings to control themselves.
Arousal was an addictive spice, leaving a lingering aftertaste to the blood. During climax, it was near overwhelming: fresh and envigorating. Afterwards, the taste turned sweeter, almost as sweet as xiao Wei’s shy, pleased smiles as he settled into Kunlun's arms, sated and trusting.
Always so very, very trusting. It sat like a stone in Kunlun's throat, stealing any words he wanted, could say.
“Be mine,” he asked the next time, xiao Wei spread out underneath him like a feast, pliant as he took everything Kunlun gave him without complaint.
“Yes,” xiao Wei gasped, his legs wrapping around Kunlun's waist to better weather his thrusts. “Please, please, Kunlun, make me yours—”
“Forever,” Kunlun growled, pulling out despite xiao Wei’s best attempts to keep him. Dark eyes met his, pupils dilated with lust and gaze near feverish with yearning. Realization flit across xiao Wei’s face, so smart, always so clever, and his now, his for as long as they both lived—
“Forever,” xiao Wei breathed, arching his neck and offering up himself. “Yes, Kunlun. Yours, forever and ever, please…!”
It was tempting, but Kunlun had other plans. Instead of the neck, he ducked down and sank his fangs deep into the inside of xiao Wei’s thigh, drinking his blood spiked with arousal. Drinking him dry, to the last drop, leaving his mark to scar where no one else would ever see it, because xiao Wei was his, and his alone.
Then he sliced open his own wrist with sharp claws and offered it to his love as the light dimmed in his eyes.
*
Shen Wei walked stiffly across the hall on his way to the throne, shoulders straight and head held high. Whispers followed him as he stalked up to the throne, only falling silent as he turned around to silence them with his glare.
“Our sire is dead,” he announced, and the courtyard stilled the way only vampires could. Swallowing, Shen Wei added, “I am Kunlun's oldest and favourite. I will be taking over the flock.”
Shifting, now, the rustling of robes. Shen Wei stood cold at the head of Kunlun's flock, awaiting their judgement. Uncertainty whispered through the flock, several expressions closing off as he watched on, turning almost mutinous.
“You all have a choice. You may follow me – or leave.” Or they could challenge him. Shen Wei felt a twist of pain in his chest at the thought, but he didn’t allow it to show on his face. He would deal with them as appropriate: by killing them. He could allow no one to see him as weak at this crucial point in time.
Gongong was the first to leave. He’d founded his own flock already, it wasn’t really a surprise. Shen Wei never expected any of the flocks loyal to Kunlun to stay with him now that Kunlun was gone. Several others hesitated, until finally another left, and another. No words of farewell were spoken between them.
Finally, Daqing stepped up.
Pain lanced through Shen Wei, breaking his indifferent mask. He stared at Daqing, Kunlun's oldest friend and advisor. It felt like a betrayal, to have Daqing turn on him now — and yet, he knew better than anyone that he deserved it. After what he’d done to Kunlun, no matter how necessary, Daqing was well within his rights to leave him in disgust.
Daqing dropped to his knee, much to everyone’s surprise.
“Da-ge,” he addressed Shen Wei, his voice ringing out clear in the silent court hall, “I hereby pledged my fealty to you, Head of this Flock. As sure as the mountains stand tall and the seas fall and rise, I shall stand by your side.”
It wasn’t a vow of joining Shen Wei’s flock, but a variant of the ones pledged by a sire’s children who were starting their own flock. A vow of allegiance, of alliance. A promise of support.
Shen Wei swallowed past the sentimentality clogging his throat. “I accept your oath, loyal Daqing. Please, rise.”
With Daqing at his side, most others followed suit.
In the end, Kunlun’s flock didn’t break apart as most would have expected at his demise. While several of the older siblings broke off, more setting out to start their own flocks, almost all of the young ones remained, remembering Shen Wei as their Da-Shixiong and trusting him to lead them into the future.
And yet, Shen Wei’s heart was heavy. They didn’t know what happened to Kunlun, and it felt like lying to them to reassure them of their safety.
After all, it was Shen Wei who had killed their sire.

Questions about OCs and stuff
You can find the original file here! I reblogged it super late at night.
Gonna fill this one out myself, because it looked fun!
OC questions:
* Who was your first ever OC? Do you still “use” them? How have they evolved over time?
Oreana was my first ever OC, and yes I do! She evolved from me wanting to write myself in with my favorite fixations to becoming her own actual character.
I could tell as a character she wanted to have the princess title removed, but I refused since I wanted that to be another obstacle for her. XD
2. Who is your newest OC? Why did you make them?
Asther Thyme, my goat OC was one I bought on toyhouse, but newest one made by me is Demiurge turned into a jackal.
I bought the goat because I am trying to rethink about this old idea of mine I wrote years ago as a kid that had more furries in it than humans. Demiurge turning into a jackal was just originally for fun but he stayed after awhile.
3. Biggest self-insert OC?
Oreana. XD; While she's come a long ass way since then, I still feel the parts of me that are in her.
4.What kind of music do your OCs listen to?
There's too many to list. Oreana just likes anything with a good beat, and Ignatius and Demiurge prefer instrumental.
5. What are some of your OCs biggest fears?
Oreana: being used again Ignatius: enduring loss again Demiurge: the loss of himself
Demona: never returning home
Cheshire: Demiurge ever getting his Creator's love when he feels he doesn't deserve it.
6. Do you have any OCs without stories? Will you ever create one for them?
Yuna, Asther, Elasha, and Haruka. Their Toyhouse bios aren't even filled in yet, because I don't know what to do. XD;
And yes, they will! I just have to get my ideas all together first.
7. What are your favourite relationships between your OCs? (romantic or platonic!)
Romantic, mainly because of the lack of love in my life. XD;
8. Do you have any OC family trees?
Oreana does have parents and 2 brothers—as well as an ancestor I can't get into because that's spoilery, and Ignatius has a twin brother.
9. Favourite OC?
It bounces from Oreana, Ignatius, to Demiurge.
10. OC you most struggled to make?
Ignatius. In fact, he went through a redesign about a year—er two years—ago. He originally was just going to look very much like a guy from YYH I loved but a naga, till I decided to make him more like an amalgamation of characters and ideas I loved. Doing that was so much so for the better. As I don't have to feel fixated on the one canon character to be fixated on him.
Fanfic questions:
11. * Sum up one or more of your wips!
Werewolf professor in a fantasy styled Victorian London looks to try and quell the fear over the werewolf curse. It's a commission so I can't really plop too much of it down.
12. Which story took the most research?
Anything from Assassin's Creed. Especially the Victorian London ones regarding brothels, tuberculosis, opium dens, and factories.
Don't get me started on the sex stuff... since that was considered 'prudish', it feels nearly lost to time.
13. Which story has the most lore?
Uuuh... A Love Most Profound and or The Demon King of the Desert, depending what you mean. Both spoke of their beliefs and even had rough outlines of their worlds.
14. Current word count of all your main wips?
I don't think I have any active yet since I'm on vacation.
15. How many projects do you have going on right now? Are there any that you doubt you’ll ever finish?
I have my private journal
A private personal story
In Another Life, We Could Have Been Lovers
Amnesia: A Dreamer's Requiem
An Empty Heart Full of Memories
The Devil After Midnight
The Devil's Tome
Within the Dream Temptation
The Princess and the Dove
I am not sure. I would like to get through all of these, but it's doubtful.
16. What was you first major project? How far along is it?
I guess The Devil's Contract would be considered that. And it's done now at 50 chapters. I was quite happy to have it finished.
17. What are some tropes and character dynamics found in your wips?
Slow burn, soulmates, and just romantic stuff.
18. Describe the setting of one or more of your wips
Horror fantasy of who is doing what and what is happening under the OC's nose, Victorian werewolf fantasy, and murder fantasy with a bit of reincarnation? I guess we'll say.
19. What are some things that inspired your stories? Real events? Maybe a dream?
Dreams more than anything, and if not those, anything I play or watch. Even The Demon King had elements of LOZ in it.
20. What story are you the proudest of? Why?
The Demon King of the Desert. It helped me come to terms with a bit more online trauma, and it seemed to touch a few folks. So I'm happy with it.
About me questions:
21. * When did you start considering yourself a writer/artist?
Artist, I always felt I was one. In fact, I was quite upset when I got online and people preferred my writing over my art. XD But I came to terms with it after awhile. Heck, I realize when I blend the two, people enjoy both.
Writing started to happen the more I wrote stories on websites, and folks came to love them or use them as a means to shoulder through a tough time in their life.
22. What are all the “kinds” of writing/art you do? (short stories, poetry, screenplays, digital, painting, clay, etc.)
I do short stories, poetry, digital art, traditional art too at some points—and sing as well as (kind of) play the piano.
23. Are you in any writer/artist groups? (Ex: discord server!)
Sadly, not really. I get nervous to spread my works to places I'm not comfortable in. But I've heard joining discord servers is a good idea.
24. Do you have/want a career in your medium? If not, what do you do/want to do instead? I would love to publish a book or do a comic of some sort. How I'll go about that, I have zero clue.
25. What’s your favourite genre to write? Is it also your favourite genre to read?
Fantasy and or romance. I prefer to read fantasy over reading romance. I only write romance because of the trauma in my life.
26. What are your favourite books?
The Maze Runner and The Last Unicorn.
27. What are your favourite movies?
The Last Unicorn,Watership Down, and now The Super Mario Brothers Movie (I've watched it like 4 times since I bought it lol).
28. Favourite songs at the moment?
Moonlight Shadow (original artist Mike Oldfield but any artist will do), The Secret of Monkey Island intro melody, and Tombi from Trigun.
29. What was your first fandom you were in? Did you make any art/fanfic for it?
Ronin Warriors, and yes, I wrote and drew for it but ALL that stuff is now archived and lost to time. Lol Well, only gone from the net, really. I still have it offline.
