I cannot begin to explain how excited and happy I am for this. I love asks, I love specific asks and requests, and I love my blorbos. You and @ sotwk have the best asks. You also get brownie points for asking about the bois that never get love and traction here: Rúmil and Orophin. My babies of the heart.

Rumil:

I know you’ve said before that he’s pretty calm most of the time, but does he have a good sense of humor or is it more of a cold calmness?

He's got a very dry sense of humor, but he's actually fairly easy-going and quick to laugh. His default is kind of resting bitch and tracking your movements face and he's cold calmness out on patrol, but he's actually a really good time when out at a party. He's just not usually leading the conversation. He likes people watching.

Does he ever get get bashful about having to explain BDSM protocol to others or does he see the subject as neutral?

Lol no he does not. He sees BDSM (and sex in general) as a very healthy and natural part of existence and has no shame in it. He may not reveal his personal preferences and past experiences with someone he's not planning on playing with or teaching, but he has no qualms about the subject at all.

He finds it hysterical when Haldir asks him about anything BDSM-related because Haldir is incredibly bashful about it, even if he tries to put on a good face.

I tend to HC that Elvish societies are less prudish about sex overall than Mannish societies and the fact that he was raised Silvan makes it even less so.

How does he interact with softer/newer subs?

Overall, he treats them similarly in that he's a lot gentler with them.

Rúmil's not very verbally expressive during play normally, so he tends to guide softer subs around more with soft touches instead of harsh tugs or slaps. He prefers harder play, so he's likely only to take a soft sub if they're newer, want to try a new type of play, if they've had traumatic experiences and want something safe and controlled, or it's a compatibility test for something more intense.

For newer subs specifically, he makes an effort to be more verbal with them in a way he's typically not in play: asking more clarifying questions, explaining what he's doing before he does it and maybe even expected sensations, checking in more often and requiring verbal confirmation of consent, and even giving a lot of verbal feedback or praise. He starts slow and builds with newer subs and he's really big on sitting down and having almost like a date with them just to get to know them and their goals beforehand.

What is his biggest pet peeve?

That the patrol talans aren't being put back into the order he left them in. It's easier to settle in, keep things clean, and find important tools in an emergency if things are kept to his (or any) standards.

Laundry anywhere it shouldn't be. Like the floor, Orophin!

Is he a good listener?

Yes, absolutely. Laser-focused and very intense, especially if it's about BDSM. Haldir and Orophin both have better memories than he does so he takes the time to write down important dates or sexual preferences and other information so he can refer back to/memorize it. Once he puts it to paper, he's generally pretty good after that.

It's actually why he started painting, to vividly remember landscapes and embed them in his memories.

Does he yearn to travel, or does he prefer his home city?

Mmm. He enjoys traveling, but its not something he craves. He honestly tends to get around a decent amount (visiting Mirkwood for some festivals and important holidays - I HC they were born here and have extended family and friends there; patrolling all over Lothlórien over the centuries; escorting guests and Celebrían; and traveling to Imladris for diplomatic conferences or patrol exchanges; and so forth) and doesn't see the need to do more than he already does. Every once in a while, he'll go for a weekend trip somewhere, but its mostly for a change of scenery and some quite.

Haldir was often stationed in nearby human settlements before he was promoted to Captain and then Chief and so forth and he would visit him, as well.

Orophin:

YES!! Thank you!!! You get it!

And actually, not really! There's a couple I could say, but I also think the basic ability/information for them are common to any Galadhrim, warden elf. Hiking, walking, camping, plant and animal identification. He's quite good at them all and specifically specializes in tracking, but that just kind of comes with the territory. He does really like butterflies, though.

He loves to swim in any body of water he finds and perch high up in the mallorn trees and watch the seasons change.

Do his crazy stunts ever get him into trouble?

All the fucking time. He doesn't get injured as much as he did as an elfling (Tawarwaith - Woodelves/Silvan- elflings fall from trees says one of my favorite Mirkwood world-building authors, SpaceAsmatic, on ao3), but he still ends up in hysterical situations.

To date, he has cartwheeled, somersaulted, and fell out of a patrol talan onto Lord Celeborn. More than once. Celeborn thinks it's hilarious, but no one except Galadriel and Elrond will ever find out. He has to maintain his stern demeanor with his wardens. Elrond finds out because the trees are different in Imladris and he always has to adjust to new tree heights and branch stability. He broke an arm last time he was there.

He and Legolas get on like a house on fire. Everyone gives them a wide berth when they're together and Elrond puts the healing wing on standby.

It mostly gets him out of trouble to be honest, because parkouring across tree-tops is really great for orc evasion.

What is he like when one of his friends/family members have a bad day?

Typically he gets a bit quieter and softer; more reserved. Most of those he's close to have a bad day due to overwork (Haldir) or over stimulation from stress so he kind of follows them around and assists them where he can. He likes to open windows and coerce people onto balconies for some fresh air and sun.

If people are up for it, he'll take them out drinking or partying and he'll take point so they don't have to focus on the details. He'll get you home safely. He'll be drunk as shit, but he'll get you home!

Does he often wrestle/play fight with his brothers? If so, who usually starts it and who finishes it?

I wouldn't say often and when they do it's nothing serious. Just a fun joke and lots of posturing; no one's trying to do any damage.

Haldir or Rúmil usually start it (after Orophin has goaded them) and they usually finish it while Orophin just wheezes laughing.

If Haldir and Rúmil ever are fighting, then something is very, very wrong. Like someone died wrong.

He strikes me as someone who is very outdoorsy and would rather sleep by a campfire than inside. Is that true?

No, but only because after every night he's forced to sleep on the forest floor or on a bare slat during patrols and battles, he refuses to give up the comforts and warmth of his bed at home any more than he has to.

(He likes everything else about the outdoors, though.)

Eh, he kind of has flings sometimes? What he really has is a large, close knit group of friends with kissing and cuddling benefits.

Is he cuddly with those he’s close to?

Incredibly! He's very tactile and often has a hand on someone or is dragging them somewhere. Loves chilling in meadows in a dog pile of his friends.

Haldir:

Thank you!!!! You're so kind! Yeah, I fucking love her and them too. I always try and write other pairings, but in the end I end up having WIPs with them too.

Since the submissive Haldir discussion has been going around, I've actually added three new WIPs for Haldir and my OFC all featuring subby Haldir in various stages of their jouney regarding his submission. One is actually her basically trying to get him to accept compliments and praise through worship so. I think that may have answered part of your question.

I do have a non-sexual kneeling drabble in that list, too. Because them. Sigh.

Hmm Facts about OFC (who is my OFC for my full HC Haldir, whereas the ones created for Sotwk and labeled as such are a mix of my HCs and hers for her requests):

-I haven't yet decided on a profession for her, but I'm leaning seamstress or herbalist. I had been debating archivist, but I think I'm giving that to my fem!Haldir x fem!Reader in the future. Not that it technically matters, but semantics.

-She's good at holding a grudge with everyone in world except Haldir (not that he tends to upset her very often)

-She refuses to have a favorite season; it’s very rude and they all have their benefits and magic

-She loves lemon (hence Haldir's famed Lemon Tarts)

-She tends to get overstimulated by noise easily

-She had too many houseplants. She and Haldir had to come to compromise (she lost; her consolation prize for almost-solely kitchen herb plants in the house now is garden walks with his brothers)

-She’s afraid of heights. It makes living in trees the fucking worst (patrol towers and the Council Hall are the worst offenders because they’re extra high up)

Also, would it be okay if I requested a short drabble with them this October for my birthday?

Thoughts on the Hazbin Hotel series so far? Episodes 1 - 3 were fine, but 4 - 6, goddamn. Great character dynamics, compelling themes, and music that BANGS harder than Disney can deliver atm. I’m so happy this show is approaching greatness cause Viv is talented when she wants to be.

I've kept this ask in the back burner until I've watched all of the episodes from 1-6, so I have done so and here are my takes!!!

This show is great! Really great! Some of the songs have made it in my head and remained there to this day (I'm looking at you, Stayed Gone), and ngl the 1-3 episodes had great character dynamics from the start, though I feel genuinely like there shoulda been a much better intro to HH in e1. It feels like you just spawned in this world and are expected to know everything. I guess it's made with the pilot in mind but that should be clarified at least.

Episodes 4-6 omfg.

Episode 4 was great, loved the insight into Angel Dust, though I'm not as severely attached to him but it was great regardless. Good shit! The song was pretty good.

Episode 5... what to say about it... I FUCKING LOVED IT OMFG HBISABIEBIBVBWVICSJBEBVWIFOI I don't know why but lucifer is in my brain. he is in my soul. i cried at More Than Anything, I am in the process of making a lucifer video comp because of him. The blorbo ever. Instantly fits all the slots to the "silly traumatized men" category of characters that I love so much. The deisgn, his silliness. His voice. Unmatched. I AM NOT NORMAL ABOUT HIM AND HIS ARC YOU SEE!!!! I CANT CONTAIN THE SILLY BECAUSE HE IS SILLY!!! HE FUCKIN ROCKS! I LOVE THE SILLY FALLEN ANGEL!!!

worst part is i can now (more tragically [not]) compare the show to Good Omens and DO. YOU. UNDER. STAND!!!! LUCIFER JUST LIKE CROWLEY FR!!!! I LOVE ME SILLY MEN WITH TRAUMA!! FALLEN ANGEL!!!! *screams*

You've also seriously tempted me with MI; I've somehow managed to avoid seeing any of the movies to completion? But perhaps now that will change...though I'll try to keep my blorbo glasses off during the viewing.

i am gonna sit here and loudly maintain they're good movies. Like, bruh. Ethan Hunt.

The thing is that... okay MI1 is a DePalma movie so its not my vibe honestly. And MI2 is badly written. Hell, I've seen people say if you cut all the dialogue from MI2 and just have the shot composition and set pieces and cinematography, it's a perfectly okay movie. And MI3 is inoffensive, it's literally a very long episode of Alias with a bigger budget and that stunning bridge stunt.

But then a miracle happened and MI got a fucking writer. Chris McQuarrie wrote Ghost Protocol, Rogue Nation, and Fallout, and McQ knows how to actually write characters? Instead of the cringeyworthy moments from Abrams and his crew, Ghost Protocol understood to make the series work, Ethan needed to be....

Starting in GP, Ethan is not just Cool Action Guy, he's traumatized by a lot of bad shit in his past, he's capable but long-suffering, he's bossy in kind of a jerk way, but he's also sweet and appreciative of people. People depend on him and he'd sooner tear his body apart than disappoint any of them. He gets knocked down over and over and over and as the series goes on, he's slower and slower to get up, which is a detail I fucking love. Sometimes he looks at someone he cares about and just smiles like he's so relieved to have them in his site.

I'm obsessed with how he moves honestly, the thoughtless grace and the long staggers both.

I SUGGEST BLORBO GLASSES ON HONESTLY. Let the Ethan Hunt Babygirl Effect happen.

((okay yeah so I’ve been meaning to write down a bunch of things about Dae’s Ancientsona Ancient self, Nemesis, and now’s as good a time as any LET’S GOOOO

EARLY DAYS

She’s the eldest sibling out of three with her younger brother and sister being fraternal twins, Artemis and Apollo (we haven’t exactly seen how Ancients age relative to like, normal people, but it’d be the equivalent of ~10 years ish between the other two and Nemesis)

Yeah not Gaia!Artemis, a different Artemis, who is also Amba’s Ancient self coincidentally

No I have not figured out what her parents’ names were yet deal with it

REGARDLESS both of said parents were heavily researching other dimensions, interdimensional travel, that kind of thing, and while they did try they weren’t exactly great at work-life balance and wee Nemesis was more or less fending for herself once she was old enough to like, do that

Also meant she was taking care of her siblings a lot too so they got very attached to her given that they were little little and she was around quite a bit more than their own damn parents

Then said parents opened a portal to the Abyss in their fucking basement sort of on accident and whoops it’s basically Hell to anyone who’s not prepared to like, Deal With The Abyss Being Like That, and the Abyss was rather peeved at being woken back up and peeled their souls out and ate them

And also started eating the house and tried to eat Nemesis and her siblings but Nemesis managed to get them clear of the house fast enough while listening to her parents getting basically mauled

Traumatic it sure was and literally no one knew how to handle that especially for a kid Nemesis’ age, where she wasn’t old enough to really have a coping mechanism but old enough to know damn well what happened

So immediately after people just...kept their distance and hurled platitudes rather than doing anything helpful and yes Nemesis did hold a lot of resentment over that even way later on in life because it felt like she got abandoned (because she kinda did)

That said one of her parents’ work friends, Daedalus, actually wound up adopting all three of them once he heard what had happened and honestly...did his best tbh to help them, even when it was pretty damn clear that Nemesis was proooobably gonna grow up somewhat maladjusted personality-wise

The other two were really too young to understand it or remember it well though and grew up fairly normal, though Apollo had much weaker aetherial potential than Artemis or Nemesis had (even if his soulsight was extremely good)

Yes Apollo is Hythlodaeus, I just am kinda rolling with “it’s ALSO a title” as a very un-canon excuse for it in this ‘verse, shh

It was also about this point that Daedalus got to make the exciting discovery that Nemesis could do blood magic

AND HERE’S WHERE I DIGRESS ABOUT BLOOD MAGIC FOR TOO DAMN LONG

Yes this is (also) entirely non-canonical, but I do what I please and what I please is making weirdo magic systems for my personal blorbos aight?

So it’s a weird obscure branch of magic that’s kind-of-cousins to healing magic but is done somewhat differently

YOU SEE Ancients’ healing magic requires a lot of aether and also is “permanent” in the sense of “once you’re healed you’re not gonna spontaneously UN-heal later” ya know?

It’s also mostly concerned with bringing everything back to the status quo body-wise, making the body return to “baseline”

Blood magic on the other hand is capable of a great deal more effects-wise; it also is predominantly concerned with shifting your body away from baseline more than bringing it back--and it is also much less permanent and wears off over time if not actively maintained

That said, there’s a couple complications with it: the ability to even perform it seems to be genetic to some extent, and also using it generates aetherial “backlash” that acts completely chaotically and, more often than not, violently

This is ofc a bit of a fucking problem for someone trying to use it, but there’s a workaround for it, namely: channeling that backlash into a container of some sort to keep it from ricocheting off in random directions instead

Generally these containers are orbs of some sort, since it’s much easier to just have the magic spin itself in circles rather than have to deal with it putting constant huge pressure onto any corners or hard edges

But minor transformations are generally pretty safe to do without any further precautions because the backlash just dissipates harmlessly courtesy of being so small

...It still didn’t make it any less startling to Daedalus when he walked in and found a wee Nemesis skittering up the wall like a goddamn lizard and heard her go LOOKIT WHAT I CAN DO :D

For better or worse though he had actually studied historical instances of blood magic as a side gig before and so he had a fair bit of forewarning about what it could do--and a lot of literature on it

Sure he couldn’t entirely teach her everything but he could at least do a guided study kind of thing so she didn’t go up and blow up the general neighborhood or the like

And study she did because she found that kind of thing immensely fascinating

HOWEVER she always steadfastly refused to learn how to do it to people that weren’t herself; in her eyes, using blood magic effectively does require thinking about your body kinda like a meatsuit, and while thinking about your own body that way is one thing, thinking about other people like meatsuits is a one-way ticket to starting to treat them like things, and treating people like things is Bad, Okay

She got pretty damn good at the whole thing tbf and while there are certainly a lot of petty personal uses for that kind of magic, she mostly just. Used it to turn herself into varying sorts of critter because that is just how she rolls

DIGRESSION OVER BACK TO THE NEMESIS STUFF

So by the time she became a young adult she had had whatever typical schooling that Ancients had, as well as a fair bit of experience in using her particularly odd and semi-useful kind of magic

She also figured out she had a “typical” transformation at that point: a kinda Anubis hound looking thing (as compared to her sister’s deer-looking forest creature)

Ofc her brother had none lol (poor Hyth and his two hulking monster-sisters), but did get the REALLY good aethersight so it evened out a bit

Daedalus had also created a hardwood staff for Nemesis, and of course the first thing she did with it was master how to summon a scythe blade onto it at will

She had also gotten used to making backlash orbs for herself at that point and clearing them out

It was about this point she started to have a bit of an existential crisis because she was basically being expected to get a job, help the star, preserve society--even after that society had pretty effectively given her younger self the finger and kinda looked sideways at a lot of what she could do

(See the above point re: how applying it to other people requires thinking about them not as people, and also the sheer Body Horror potential it has on top of that, I mean. She could basically run around being a mini Final Days if she wanted)

(Thing is that she do not wanted, thank you very much, but try telling that to some people and it just glances off)

Also at that point the Pashtarot at the time was getting tetchy over her being “allowed” to continue practicing that magic anyway, and kept not-so-subtly floating the notion of binding that power away from her because yeah too risky to let that keep going what if she goes evil on us

But of course this is also a strange rare power that damn near never actually comes up, much less in someone that was actually pretty interested in the subject and had done a huge amount of work on it on her own even at that age

In fact the notion of just locking it away without even an opportunity to study it honestly offended Lahabrea’s notion of scholarship and so when Nemesis got offered a position at the Words of Lahabrea--

Okay honestly at first she took it as an insult because she saw in the Ancients’ creations what she saw in herself: flaws, and how black-and-white those flaws were treated, and therefore wasn’t thrilled with the notion of going to a place whose entire purpose was that

But he actually realized that and changed tack to say that she didn’t need to be a researcher, there was actually a sub-bureau (albeit a small one) that was dedicated to just catching rogue concepts

And at that point she realized that this was probably the best combo of “helping people” and “not having to actively participate in making things that’re just gonna get killed the second they’re imperfect anyway” and went OKAY SOLD

So she trained as basically a concept-catcher and while she still really didn’t like how casually society treated the creations they’d make, she also did get to see for herself that yeah actually some of these are just way too fucked-up to keep existing (and Pandaemonium was actually almost an improvement in her eyes, if just because they weren’t just offing them and also had the time-stasis thing going on so they weren’t just being made to suffer)

Despite the pragmatic approach to, uh, existing in this society, she also wound up managing to weasel an arrangement out of Lahabrea that she could actually keep some of the “flawed but not turbo dangerous” stuff at a compound by her house, and that actually helped take some of her rougher edges off when he actually like, agreed, albeit on a case-by-case basis per concept, under the conceit that it was another “facility”

And she caught onto that and actually did run it like one, and after it led to her being a lot more cooperative and congenial with him, he just kinda ran with it even if he thought she was being really goddamn weird about the whole concepts thing

(But hey she was a very good catcher and dedicated to what she was doing so whatever, he could roll with it if it meant keeping her around and interested in continuing to do her job, AND he got to study her blood magic by proxy too)

In fact he wound up basically making a registration system for her various forms so they could both keep track of that, and while she groaned a lot at first about the paperwork, it was kinda neat to be able to flip through a whole book of things she had accomplished with that magic

So basically yes they both mildly annoyed each other but kinda ran with it because they had a nice little academic mutual exchange thing going on

That said, this whole time Athena has also...been A Thing That’s Happening, and while Nemesis was never particularly fond of her, she mostly just wrote it off as yet another person I don’t like (of which there were many lmao) and left it at that

Especially because by the time Athena was seriously ramping up her bullshit and she was rather casually discarding concepts, including a number of severely dangerous ones, and leaving them for Nemesis’ department to clean up, so Nemesis was a wee bit too busy to think about the weird chick married to her boss’ boss anyway

At least until Athena swanned in one day wanting to experiment with Nemesis’ blood magic, anyway

At which point Nemesis basically got all the bad vibes and went hm. no. and got into a verbal brawl with her over it, and then had to get prodded off of that particular argument by her direct manager so they didn’t all get in hot water with Lahabrea over it

Nemesis also around that time got a (rather nebulous and circumstantial) piece of evidence tying Athena to the rash of escapes but before she and her direct manager could do anything about it, the whole incident with Erich had happened and so yeah she just dropped it because she wasn’t gonna try to persecute someone that was fuckin dead (and she also genuinely thought it was just an accident at the time like everyone else, least up until she gets pulled into the Pandaemonium questline but anyway)

And from there she basically just kept on keeping on: catching rogue concepts, keeping some of the less-bad ones, inevitably being yanked into a friendship with Azem, having to put up with Emet-Selch of all people when he started dating her brother, her sister being Emmerololth and then retiring to be a Fae ambassador...so on and so on

Hey Kiyaar, I know we haven't talked too much, so I hope I'm not bothering you during a low spoon period, but I'd been getting a little bit into astrology when you posted your 'calculating natal charts for blorbos with maximum traumatic impact' post and it was really clear and straightforward and I really enjoyed reading it! So I figured maybe I could take a chance and message you to see if you could point me in the direction of astrology resources you've found useful (book or web)?

Because it turns out my latest bout of health issues that have completely kicked my ass, (and have still not recovered from in 6 years,) started on my Saturn return and uhhhh I just learned Jupiter returns are also a thing and my Jupiter is in Taurus so mine is about to start in May, (followed by my north node return in Pisces in 2025,) and I keep trying to look for ways to make it hopefully kick my ass less because honestly I am beyond exhausted right now. But all the sites I keep looking at are very froo-froo three-sentence-paragraph-summaries useless when it comes to advice for dealing with a Jupiter/north node return and the lack of useful information is starting to make me into a ball of anxiety, (or more of one than normal). If you have the spoons to spare to in order to pass along any resources you'd recommend I'd be incredibly grateful. If not, I hope you have a better day soon. @loving-that-officey-feel I am SO SORRY i took a year and a day to answer this HI, please do not worry, I very much love this question, I have several resources for you and my favorite one and the most comprehensive is my go-to Just Forks resource, and it is The Astrology Podcast w Chris Brennan. You can listen on any platforms or directly on the website, or I guess you can watch the eps on Youtube because sometimes they will show you visually the chart they are talking about and that's helpful if you need ref visuals. I listen to a lot of these while I have migraines. The eps range from very accessible to incredibly advanced topics, and it's been running for years so there is a wealth of knowledge there. Check out the ep on the nodes (290 + also 127). Like sometimes I am like. I don't really understand [concept] that keeps getting mentioned. I wonder if there is an ep on that. There is. I like this podcast because his approach is incredibly scholarly (he is very Saturnian and I like that) and he brings tons of people on and he generally has v good taste in guests. They're all super weird and interesting. If you want to learn the landscape, he has a series on each planet and on each sign and even just listening to those one by one gives you a framework. You're asking me about a specific transit and I really like Robert Hand's books, I have one of them (Planets in Transit) but there are several; I am always on the lookout for a copy of Planets in Aspect at my used bookstore. He is like. An old man who I believe has a background in Hellenistic Astrology, so his books don't include the Nodes and are speculative about some Uranus transits because most people only experience Uranus transiting into a new house once per lifetime and he wrote it in the 70s. But it's great ref for looking up transits as they happen/what they are specifically doing in my chart. ETA I have, since writing this, listened to an ep of the astrology podcast that indicated that Robert Hand wrote this book and it then ended up becoming like a cornerstone text and held up remarkably well esp considering the stuff about Pluto (newer discovery). The nodes are a thing from Evolutionary Astrology, which is some new age stuff and people most commonly ascribe the NN/SN to current life path/past life baggage/gifts, which isn't like. My favorite. I I think maybe it can be useful to think of the South Node as a representation of stuff you're naturally good at/fluent in, and the North Node as stuff that you need to work consciously to lean into more because it will help you if you do. Mostly the nodes just tell you where the eclipse cycles for the next few years are gonna be and help you situate that in your chart. On Jupiter return - this is general because I can't see your chart or know what's aspecting your jupiter/other taurus placements, etc, but generally Jupiter returns are nicer (unless you have a really debilitated Jupiter for some reason), I would worry more about that Saturn return! How Jupiter in Taurus is gonna be really depends on what house it's in (it's not a bad Jupiter placement), and how it's aspecting your chart ruler/malefics in your chart. I hope this helps! So waddup my name's Two, I'm 25 and my pronouns are they/them. I'm also aromantic and gray-ace irl but that does not apply to traumatized fictional men, traumatized fictional men could get it any time no questions asked.

This blog contains any and all random animation movie/series and comic content plus a concerning amount of fox Gotham, as well as whatever else my hyperfixation will zone in on next week. It fluctates man. I have no control. I never had control. Smallville is my favorite as well as my most beloathed, I bought all the dvds and refuse to watch them out of dread. From what I've gathered, that's the normal reaction to the show.

I'm a ✨shameless✨ self-shipper with an obsession for oc creation and then making said ocs smooch canons. I draw super cringe self-indulgent art of that but you'll never see it 💜. My main blorbo is, if it wasn't obvious, (Smallville!)Lex Luthor my beautiful my beloved my bastard. It started out with Smallville Lex but by this point I love all versions of him and yes I'm aware my taste in men is questionable. He's my horrible little husband and I'm biting him <3

I'm actually pretty new to this whole fandom, I never cared about anything DC related at all until late april 2022 when some random ass person in a fucking warrior cats discord server grabbed me and violently yanked me down the hole with him. Y'all the hyperfixation hit STRONG I never stood a chance and now I live here and everyone else has to deal with me.

Other interests include my beloved Jason who I owe my life, and apparently also Gotham!Alfred because that just happened?, depending on whatever I'm feeling at the current time of day. (He'd treat me right lmao.) No, I will not elaborate. Listen I do not choose the special interest, but I abandoned shame years ago and if my brain says we're doing this then that's how it is.

AH OKAY I'LL TRY

My beleander Oleander of course! He's such a little guy. He's a private investigator which I... Talk about a lot actually. Something fun about him is his favorite movie is Knives Out and after he saw it the first time around when it came out he would constantly ask people to go watch it with him whenever it was showing. He can drive, actually, when most of my stuff is set he's one of the only people in his friend group with a driver's license but he doesn't like going alone. His motivations are pretty simple. He just wants to do everything he can for himself and the people he loves while having a bit of fun with it! He's one of my few characters that isn't uh.... Massively traumatized? Since he's close to so many people with major trauma and such he struggles a lot with feeling like his problems aren't important and he needs to just stay the silly fun one for everyone else... He's the character I work with most because he wormed his way into my thoughts and never leaves

Another one of my blorbos from brain is Chrissy!!! I don't have much worked out for her but I love her so much!!! Chrissy's a lil sweetheart! She works with Oleander and they get along great but they are VERY different.... Oleander very much fucks around and finds out and just does whatever he wants? But Chrissy is definitely a lot more hesitant which both hinders and helps her investigative work if that makes sense? Fun Chrissy fact is that she adores historical clothing <3

Clover is another blorbo from my brain and it's Chrissy girlfriend! Clover is a defense attorney!! It tends to take cases related to family law or other non criminal cases. She definitely enjoys taking on a criminal case every now and then but, because she works for the WAA, usually applies her talents to civil cases and lets others handle criminal law!

Speedrunning the rest of my ace attorney ocs so I can talk a little about my WIP sun haven OCs and also Cecil my belicil because I haven't talked about him in a while

OKAY my other ace attorney ocs are Magnolia, Heather and Sage!

Sage is pretty much the only somewhat normal prosecutor ever?? They can be kind of serious but they are never harsh to people during a trial. They also very much love gardening!

Heather my beleather is a defense attorney like Clover! Xe will fucking destroy you in court without hesitation but he's a very nice person still! It loves to craft and has all kinds of hobbies to do outside of work

MAGNOLIA!!!! A funky little scientist! It grew up in Kurain Village after an... unfortunate accident... but obviously shit went down after Mia's death and since Maya was too young to get custody it passed to Phoenix! Local man constantly adoption children.... Anyways it's a funky little biologist that works part time at a private crime lab!

OKAY CECIL AND THEN I CAN MOVE ON TO OCS IN PROGRESS!

Cecil is my sdv farmer <3 they're just a funky little guy trying to manage a farm with chronic pain! Her deal is pretty simple actually? It had to move from Stardew Valley with its mom as a kid and was studying for a currently unspecified science degree before moving to the farm. Its my beloved <3 its also like everyone else's beloved? I just think it's neat!

OKAY FINALLY

I'm working on some Sun Haven OCs and I'm very excited about them! I'm making some that have more npc roles and some that are closer to the player character! My beloved pretty pretty princess oc I'm drawing is the former and is a funky little elf I love

[plugs in my earbuds, puts on music and cracks knuckles] HERE WE GO LETS DO THIS THING this is going to be the longest post i ever write so please bare with me. also this wont be coherent

ok first: spoilers for All of final space. blue you can read this when we watch it together and also ashc*to shippers if you even come near this post nobody will find your body okay lets start

now. ash graven. i am the ash expert no one understands her like i do (real) lets start off with her. she is the Least open person in like the entire universe. like her first instinct upon meeting people is being as unwelcoming as possible (whether it is on purpose or not) which is totally because every single person in her life except for little cato has dehumanized her like you couldnt believe and she feels unloveable and dangerous and like she's always been surrounded by people either older than her (her brother fox) or just completley unapproachable (her shithead dad). so naturally she meets this boy a couple years younger than her and shes like. okay cool. how long till i fuck this up

the answer is like less than two hours within knowing him she randomly spats out that she likes him. which i dont think is remotely romantic el oh el this girl does not know how to interact with people naturally whoever interprets this as romantic can go to hell actually

and like. yeah. she is horrible at first impressions and pretty much everyone is either 1. scared of her or 2. finds her weird as hell. ALL EXCEPT FOR MY MAN LITTLE CATO

its worth noting that little cato is a literal ANGEL and he's kind and friendly with everyone and i LOOOOVE him for it. but it is so so so so important how nice he is to her specifically actually. yeah he starts off defensive because she kinda calls him a Pet and tells him to shush but ill say it again: do you think this girl has any idea how to talk normally to people. i get the feeling he quickly realizes that she doesnt mean any harm and is just. weird. like. Hi I Made This Doll Out Of Your Hair No It Doesn't Matter How I Got It weird.

it is SOOO obvious that she clings onto whoever is slightly nice to her Forever. he smiles at her once(1) and shes like okay this is going to be my new best friend for the rest of my life. and like i talk so much about how she loves him more than anything but never how !!! he does as well !!!!!! example.

as soon as she Thinks about having to go back to serepentis (place where she got unbelievably traumatized by watching her little sister Die im gonna get to that) she goes crazy and yells at everyone how she is Not going back there. i dont wanna throw gary under the bus but thats exactly what im gonna do right now. he tries to convince her for Two seconds (never trying to comfort her) and then gives up and tells little cato to try instead. now this single line is so important (im not insane) because the idea that gary went "she'll definitely talk to YOU" makes me feel like everyone kinda knew they were close (time in this show is weird but i believe they were already friends off screen fight me). but anyway little cato instead tells her "hey you dont have to answer but wanna talk about what happened" and she immediatly dumps it all on him. he knows her !!! and if he didnt know her at this point he knew enough about loss and grief to know this is what she needed to hear !!because he too saw a family member he loved so much die and feels like its his fault !!!! this is so important !!!!!!!

i can go on about the serepentis episode for ages and the fucking Scene at the end of said episode where he goes to talk to her because she went through Stuff in that episode and how he listens to her and makes her laugh and how this was the moment that sealed their friendship forever and and and. im gonna go off about how he reminds her of her dead sister instead

we dont know shit about harp but i choose to believe she was ash's baby sister because Fight Me. its not a coincidence that they had THEE bonding scene right after the episode we learn about harp. ash missed having a little sibling and she clearly trusted harp more than anyone and little cato made her feel like that again. he made her feel like someone loved her again. she had seen her baby sister dead in front of her yelling that she was gone and then ran after him right away like Come On. dont even get me started on how he understands her pain more than anyone in the team squad. his father died in front of his eyes because of a trap he unknowlingly helped set up, and a bomb that should've killed little cato. ash feels like she should've been surrendered instead of harp, or at the very least use her recently aqquired powers to save her. they both blame themselves for something that was really unavoidable. trauma bonding, yay!! this is a tiny detail and i dont think the storyboarders thought about this when they added it in, but when little cato is talking about how hes willing to make the time switch thingy so his dad can live, the camera focuses on her for a second and she looks concerned. she knows how he feels you guys. she knows why hes saying what hes saying because she'd do the same thing for her sis.

anyway season 2 doesnt really give them any other big moments but i overanalyze every second theyre on screen. from the grand surrender onwards nearly everytime theyre in the same screen theyre next to each other, i think ash feels safe around him and hes aware, so they kinda naturally go towards each other. i might be insane but i remember ash looking to his direction when she talks sometimes as if shes looking for approval. love wins <333

ok i need to move on or im gonna be here forever i have an entire season left

season 3 was like designed so i would go insane about it. like olan was in the writers room like el oh el lets make ash and little cato have these horrifying arcs that then link to each other so they can suffer together. that sounds like itll hurt red.

but anyway. to me it feels like the entire time theyre in final space (hell dimension) they leaned on each other. sure, little cato got a month to be with his recently revived father, but avocato was also going through shit, and couldnt relate to a lot of the things that happened to his son while he was gone. so what does little cato do? goes to ash. ash, on the other hand, was like having the worst time of her life. her father just ran away on them, she still had her big brother but it never felt like they could connect on a lot of the stuff that happened to her, what does she do? you will never fucking guess. this is all off screen btw trust me olan told me.

in this season they both go through horrible shit. ash finds out shes kinda like the daughter of this disembodied space demon and shes doomed to becoming as evil as it. she loses her brother, the one person she still had left. little cato finds out his "father" killed the king and queen of their home planet and never told him. ill get to the quotation marks in a bit.

ash is manipulated and used for this entire season, while little cato slowly drifts away from his dad. shes forced by gary to abandon her big brother. she FEELS invictus calling her, he grows concerned. when she goes into that black hole to look for answers, he desperately yells for her through the windows of the ship. when she comes back from receiving the "gift" from invictus hes the first person she goes to. the only person she SMILES at. shes changed, shes been forced to grow up but she still trusts him. she knows he wont freak out, she knows she can talk to him. little cato knows that hes the only one in the team squad who will, at this point, now that fox is gone. he is the only one she has left. he tries to protect her from the others, telling his dads not to freak out when they see her. OUGH i cant form a coherent thought about this its just. god. she clings onto him for this entire part of the season because she cannot afford to lose him. her reasons to stay on the team squad's side start to slowly fade away until she only has him.

and then she overhears gary and avocato talking about little cato's real parents. about how avocato killed them, about how hes been lying to his so called "son" this entire time. this is her last straw. she decides that hes safer with her. HE is her only priority. she HAS to protect him, what is she left with if she doesnt? hes the only one thats ever been cared about her.

so that scene was the worst thing that ever happened to me. little cato sees her in the midst of a mental breakdown and he calmly tells her that he thinks shes losing it, that shes scaring him. he NEVER gets angry or defensive not even when she tells him the truth mind you. do you think they wrote this scene thinking i would overthink it for the rest of my life. she takes him away because she loses grasp of whats rational and needs him around. to me it never felt like little cato wanted to leave her behind, he was "rescued" by his dads but he never seemed to antagonize her like the others did. he gave her the benefit of the doubt till the very end because he knew shed never lie or hurt him on purpose. i dont think he ever realized she was so important to him actually. he trusted her and tried his best to help her through invictus' control, but at the end of the day there was nothing he could do.

now if adult swim werent cowards and the show had a fourth season, i strongly believe little cato would've gone through the realization that maybe he needed her as much as she needed him and he would've been the one to still believe in her and convince the team squad to give her another chance. because he loves her and she loves him and they had the strongest relationship in the series right after gary and avocato dont @ me i know im right

anyway that was every single thought i have on their relationship i am eternally sorry for how long this is and how i could honestly go on [passes out on the post button]
